1989-1990, just after the fall of the eastern bloc. poverty, inflation, economic crisis, there's nothing in shops, eastern european countries are poor af. bulgaria and romania are hungry, but neither of them has enough money to buy himself a meal, so they decide to buy a meal together and eat it together. they go to some buffet and buy something. it happens a meal with some potatoes and two meatballs, one big and one small.
they pay the meal and take it to a table. with the speed of a lightning bolt, bulgaria sits down and begins scarfing down the big meatball.
romania: omg bulgaria ur so selfish how could u do this
bulgaria: mmrphff?
romania: if it was me, I'd take the small meatball
bulgaria *swallows* : well here's the small meatball why r u whining
