Prologue
Winter was utterly confused. One moment she was walking through Vacuo's refugee camp, tending to the civilians in an attempt to keep her mind busy. Then she blinked her eyes, and she was in an ornate hallway. Ahead of her was a door, the handle seemingly glowing. Originally she simply turned around, not wanting to entertain whatever illusion this could be. But, no matter how far she walked away, when she turned back, the door was the same distance from her.
Sighing, she decided to open it, revealing a theatre room. Unfortunately, there weren't any seats around them. There were also doors all along the outside, each with glowing handles too. One of these doors opened, revealing~
"Qrow."
Said drunk looked at Winter in shock.
"Can't believe I'm saying this, but it's good to see you, Winter. Do you have any idea where we are?"
"No. I was about to say that to you~"
Doors all around them began to open up, as others game in. Winter could see Whitley, Willow, Klein, Ren, Nora, Sun Wukong enter. Based on her vague recollection of White Fang reports, she recognized Kali and Ghira Belladonna. However, one she didn't recognize was the blue eyed girl with a brown ponytail. As well as a woman that, honestly, looked like a female version of Jaune, if Jaune never became a Huntsman.
"Ilia," Sun exclaimed as he hugged the girl, "Good to see you again."
Ilia was shocked at the current situation, her freckles turning light red in embarrassment, but hugged him back.
"It's good to see you, too, monkey boy."
Oscar approached Glynda, who looked at him curiously.
"Can I help you?"
Oscar's eyes briefly glowed, and he gave Glynda a smirk.
"It's good to see you again, Glynda." Ozpin replied, making Glynda's eyes widen in shock.
"Ozpin?"
"Yes. A bit of a younger host, this time around."
"Ozpin, do you have any idea what's going on?"
"A few theories, but nothing I can definitely say."
Qrow looked around, and saw Tai and~
"Raven."
"Qrow." Raven stated. Qrow went to grab his weapon, only to find it missing.
"Hey," Nora exclaimed, "Our weapons are missing!"
That didn't deter Qrow, "I don't need my weapon to beat you to death, Raven!"
As he approached, Tai got between them, hands up, "Woah, Qrow, she's good now!"
"Tai, do you even know what she's done?"
"Of course I do. She told me everything. How she betrayed you guys at Haven. But she's been trying to do better."
Meanwhile, Raven was simply staring at Qrow with a look of indifference.
"Yeah? And where was she when Atlas fell, huh?!"
Tai looked sheepish, "That's my fault. Raven needed time to herself, so I told her to head to the mountains where we'd think about things, and I took her Scroll so nothing would bother her."
"Yeah, well, it doesn't matter now, because Yang and Ruby are dead."
Tai had a look of horror, while Raven looked confused.
"No, they can't be dead." Tai tried to object, and would've gone further if Winter didn't interrupt.
"Qrow's telling the truth," Winter approached, choking on the word, "Team RWBY, as well as Jaune…are dead."
Everyone in the room was in a state of dread. Saphron covered her mouth in horror as she fell to her knees.
"My...my little brother." She said, tears in her eyes.
"Blake…" Kali began to cry, with Ghira holding her tightly.
Winter's family also consoled her, but, out of everyone, Raven was the only one who didn't look depressed.
"They're…dead?" Raven questioned, "They can't be dead."
"Oh," Qrow scoffed, "Now you show concern. Well, sorry, Raven, but you are nineteen years too late to actually care."
"No, she means," Tai added, "They literally can't be dead. Her connection to Yang is still intact."
"What?!" Qrow screamed out.
"Connection?" Sun asked.
"Raven's Semblance lets her bond to certain people. Once bonded, she can open a portal to them at any point."
"Okay, but, Tai, if her connection to Yang is still up, then why~"
"I already tried that, brother. However, the moment I tried opening a portal to Yang, it…backlashed. This isn't like when Vernal died, this is…something else."
'Ruby and the others…alive?' Oscar thought.
'Indeed they may be,' Ozpin communicated, 'Though I do wonder where they might be.'
"Before we have anymore crises," an unfamiliar voice called out, "I'd like your attention, please."
Everyone turned to the front of the room and saw an unfamiliar person. He had a long black trench coat, with his torso had dark red armor plating. His face was obscured by a black ski mask with an unfamiliar logo. The logo was a blue pentagon, with an X in the middle, three stars, and, at the top, the words 'VIGILO CONFIDO'. His eyes were also covered with dark sunglasses. He also wore a black cowboy hat, red trimmed.
"And who are you?" Ren questioned.
The man waved his hands to the side. "Ah, wonderful for you to ask." The man took his hat off, put it to his chest, and bowed. They could hear the sound of metal shifting, as the chest piece collapsed in on itself to allow him to bow.
"Colva Moon, at your service. And I'm here to provide you all with a friendly bit of service."
"Um," Sun replied, "What kind of service? Are you going to help against this Salem person?"
Colva shook his head, "Unfortunately, Sun Wukong, that would draw some attention I would most certainly like to avoid. No, rather, we're going to watch some television." Colva clapped his hands twice, and five rows of five theatre seats appeared.
Winter narrowed her eyes, "Look, if you aren't going to help us, then send us back. There are people that need our help."
Colva waggled a finger, "Have no fear, Miss Schnee. When you get back, you'll only have been gone for but an instant."
"What?!" Whitely exclaimed, and Ren continued, "Can you manipulate time?"
"Why, yes I can. But it's not something like freezing time on your entire planet. Not only would that attract unwanted attention, but it's so boorish. Now, rather, I've brought you here, made it so you cannot age here, and accelerated time to such a degree that you could spend months, years, here, and barely a couple of seconds would pass back home. So, now that you have no fear of missing anything important, will you entertain my proposal?"
Everyone looked at each other, as Ozpin approached.
"What exactly will we be watching?"
"An excellent question. Simply put, the future!"
"Okay, so we're going to lose big time." Nora stated, to everyone's shock.
"What makes you say that, Miss Valkyrie?"
"Well, if the future is so good that we win, you wouldn't have us see the future."
"That's…," Ozpin added, "A fair point."
"While your logic is sound, Miss Valkyrie, that would imply I'm showing your future."
Raven gave an annoyed look, "Then who's future is it?"
"A future that you cannot change, but one that you must witness to help with the aftermath."
Sun scratched his head. "Um, what?"
"I believe Miss Branwen already knows the answer to that."
Everyone turned to Raven, who was just as confused as they are. She looked down, thinking about what she might know about the future. Looking back up, she decided to give a shot in the dark.
"Yang?"
Colva clapped, almost mockingly. "Well done. Yes, team RWBY, as well as Jaune's future."
"But," Willow cried out, "Where are they?"
"Arguably somewhere more dangerous than Remnant. You don't know about this, but, when the Staff of Creation made the portals to Vacuo, Ambrosius gave a simple warning: Do not fall. Of course, by Murphy's Law, all of them fell. However, if it was simply going to kill them, Ambrosius would've told them that. No, instead he kept the truth hidden, because the truth is more wild than you can imagine."
Everyone had mixed levels of relief at hearing their friends were alive. Qrow himself looked ready to pass out. Tai, already knowing that, where Yang was, she wasn't dead, was still relieved to get a second opinion.
"And," Ozpin stated, "We won't be able to interfere with wherever they land, so it's a future we cannot change. However, when they get back, we'll be able to help with any scars they earned in this land."
"But of course, old wizard."
"...Can you give us a moment?"
Colva nodded, before he literally slid to a corner of the room, taking out an oddly shaped Scroll.
Everyone gathered in a circle to discuss their situation.
"Do you think he's telling the truth?" Qrow asked.
"I don't know," Ozpin replied, "But it would be foolish to reject him. There's obviously the risk he's lying, but, if he's telling the truth, then not only will we be able to witness our friends' fate, but, perhaps in the time that we spend here, we can come up with a new plan."
"If it lets me see my daughter again," Ghira added, "Then I say it's worth a shot."
The families of the four girls all agreed. Qrow was the only one to notice it, but even Raven gave the briefests of nods.
"If we get to see our leader," Ren agreed, "Then we should take that chance."
Nora nodded.
"Colva." Ozpin exclaimed. Colva put the phone in his pocket, and slid over to them.
"Have you decided?"
"Yes. We'll watch this future."
"Wonderful! Now, for accommodations."
"Accommodations?"
"Why, of course. I doubt any of you will want to simply sit here the entire time. Maybe you'd like to discuss certain parts of the future before continuing onward. Maybe you'd like to get some sleep. God knows you'll need some breaks. After all, compared to everything they've been through, this will be Ruby and Jaune's most harrowing journey."
Because of the way he worded it, everyone assumed Colva said RWBY and Jaune. Beneath his sunglasses, Colva turned his eyes to Taiyang.
'Poor man. This will be particularly hard for him.' "Now, let's get episode 1 ready."
"What?" Raven questioned.
"What? Did you think that I was going to beam the knowledge into your skulls? No, this is a theatre, and you'll be watching the future in a format of my choosing. In this case, I've chosen to present it as a television series."
"How long will this be?" Ren inquired.
Colva cupped his chin. "I'll say about…ten episodes. Now, it's time for me to depart. Once you're all seated and ready, the episode shall commence~OH, one more thing. This place will provide all the refreshments you need. Simply want it, and it shall provide."
Nora smiled, and two large cotton candy cones appeared on her hands, to which Ren simply face palmed.
"I love this place!" Nora cheered.
"And, don't worry, Mr. Polendina," Colva snapped his fingers, and Pietro's robotic chair turned into a comfortable hover chair, "Now you'll be able to get around much easier."
"Much obliged, Mr. Moon."
"And with that, I'll simply say amusez-vous!" With that, Colva was engulfed in a beam of purple energy, and was gone.
"Um," Tai stated, "What did he just say?"
Ozpin's eyes glowed, and Oscar was back in control. "Look, this is completely strange, but we shouldn't waste too much time here."
"Kid's right," Qrow added, "Besides, I think we all need to know what exactly happened."
"Agreed," Winter finished, "So let's get started."

Author's Notes: Yeah, it's a dime a dozen reaction fics. I figured that, with Volume 9 nearly ending (by far my favorite volume so far, though it does have issues [Then again, all the volumes had issues]), I'd throw my hat into the reaction ring.
As for my character's apperance, there's actually a funny story for that. Six years ago I made a HORRIBLE Xcom 2 fanfic. It was an MaleXCOMxViperQueen fanfic, and it was just the worst. The fanfic itself wasn't horrible, it was just I didn't know jack and shit about writing back then. It was on a seperate website, that, for better or worse, I can't remember what it was. That account has been lost to time and space, and I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. So I decided that, if I was going to do a reaction fic that features myself, why not bring back my old OG, and where I came up with my current profile's name.
In other news, I'm taking some creative liberties, especially regarding Raven (her being one of the chief screwups regarding the show, that, ironically, was Monty's fault).
As always, leave a review, fav/follow, and I'll see you all next time.
