Two more chapters and I will be out for a while again.

If I remember correctly, this is something a lot of you from Facing the Past wanted to happen.

enjoy!

Christmas is fast approaching, and not only are everyone at Freddy's preparing for the holiday by decorating and doing the last brainstorm's on what they should do in the show, but also preparing for the Christmas Eve party. One where everyone in this large family will gather and many of them wants to put the last one they had to shame.

Before that big party, Mike needed to bring Soren to his hopefully last hospital checkup. The kid is understandably nervous, not at the checkup itself, more at the many spirits that will haunt him during that visit. Tim decided to tag along, said it was just because he was bored, but Mike has a feeling it's so he can get a bit away from the pain the animatronics still are in. According to Freddy, the pain they all are dealing with can barely be felt when in their human shapes.

Knowing this, Mike worries if Tim is having more trouble dealing with the pain than the others. "Are you doing alright?" He asks as they take the bus to the hospital.

Tim blinks and removes the headphones, so Mike has to repeat the question and the usual rabbit raises a brow, making Mike explain why he asked: "I'm just worried if you're in too much pain."

Tim snorts a laugh at Mike's worries. "This is nothing to what I have been through in the past." He notices that Soren is giving him 'I don't believe you' stare, and he asks the boy, "What?"

"Your soul says otherwise," Soren points out. Sure these spirits are handling the forced possessions way better than any other would, but they are still in great pain. This makes him ponder if Eric made the right choice to imprison them like this again. "Maybe it was for the better if you hadn't been—"

"Hey, don't go there kid." Tim stops the boy's train of thought. "It hurts yes, but it feels more like the aftermath from nasty cramps," and he already can feel the difference from back when they got back. "It's already fading. And seriously, I have felt worse."

Soren does not believe him, Bonnie— or Tim, says so many things and often he has it all in his mouth. "And what could possibly be worse than get one's soul stuffed into an animatronic suit?" He asks the usual rabbit scornfully and gets quite the surprise at Tim's just as snidely retort: "Let's start with been used for parts, all the while being fully conscious. Oh, and people treating you like a monster— which makes one go a little bat-shit crazy." Tim crosses his arms and goes to glare at the passing houses outside the window. "This pain is nothing compared to how painfully life was before."

Soren is dumbfounded at what Tim said, and yet he is starting to understand that all of the animatronics have endured a lot throughout their lives. Explains why they have gotten sort of thick-skinned towards this sort of pain. At least the physical sort, while the mental pain will make them scarily overprotective towards whoever got hurt. Maybe it's a good thing, for Soren felt a lot safer when Freddy- or Sean looked as if he was ready to tear his mother apart when she tried to reach him at the trial.

"Good thing that is all over." Mike points out, knowing very well what Tim is talking about. His friend nods and tells both him and Soren: "So don't bother worrying about me. I am tough as they comes." Mike gives Soren a look and the boy nods slowly. Tim, satisfied he got the point across, goes back to his music. They sit in silence throughout the remaining bus ride and at the hospital, they encounter Jeremy and Martin.

The moment the two brothers notice them, "Oh, I didn't know you have an appointment today as well." Martin remarks and Mike replies: "Quite the coincidence." That he can agree on, but fortunately, "At least it's just a checkup."

"Staying at a hospital sucks." Jeremy says, sounding more like his old self again, and Soren nods in agreement, eyeing the child, "Will you get the stitches removed today?"

"Yes, and to see if my health has improved as it should." Soren replies, he sure hopes so. For like Jeremy, getting more than sick of being stuck in this kind of building and is glad he got the much-needed encouragement to fight for his survival. Soren follows the others inside the building and while staying in the waiting room, Soren firmly ignores the spirits wandering around. He does not want to get moaned at by any spirit today.

Noticing his brother is a bit fidget, which he shouldn't be in this body. "You doing alright in it?" Jeremy asks, worried that Martin perhaps broke something in his human-robot boy.

"Well, I think there are a few loose wires." Martin muses back, so no unwanted ears hear him. "I'm having trouble with the link-up."

"You should let Thomas have a look." Mike suggests and Martin replies softly: "He does not dare fiddle with these bodies. They are too advanced for his level." Oh, that's not good and right this moment… "Wish Marion is around." Soren looks up to him and he explains the boy. "He used to be our mechanic." Soren nods and returns back in reading that comic he found.

Martin wishes that as well, but it's not like Marion wants to stick around like he did before. Maybe one day, but for now; "I just have to deal with these glitches." He tells the others quietly, it's not like it's a major inconvenience, only if he gets hit and ruins the loose link between him and his hare body. But at least he's not the type to get into a fistfight. Glancing to Tim, who looks to have gone back to Freddy for a time by how his human body is 'sleeping' Martin smiles at the quick thought that this brother of his surely would get into a fistfight with someone, especially if it came to his friends or family. Not that it's much different from himself, in fact, every animatronic at Freddy's want to protect their human friends, to keep those alive. So they won't suffer the same fate as them.

Tim 'wakes up,' and Mike asks him grinningly. "Finally got out from the bickering with Foxy?"

His friend snorts and as if it would make him look better. "I wasn't bickering with the mutt, but Chica needed certain help from me." Mike is not going to ask what kind of help she needed, probably those two making out and forgot the time. Pretty sure that's the case from that sly smirk on Tim's face.

A nurse calls, quote for them for the checkup. "Let's go Soren." Mike calls, and Soren follows. On the way, they encounter Thomas. "Oh, hey Thomas." He greets the young man, who merely waves, to then follow a woman that looks to be around Jeremy's age. Mike wonders who that might be? Not that it matters, Mike accompanies Soren into the room and sure hope whatever the doctor has to say is good news. They all could use some.

Meeting Mike here is a bit of a surprise but got quickly explained when he saw Soren. Talk about coincidence— right about there, he spots not only Jeremy but his father in his human form. If he could, then Thomas would've cursed up a storm worthy his uncle. His father spots him and oblivious to who is approaching, the man waves.

Martin greets his son in a cheerful surprise to see his boy here. "What brings you..." He trails off when he notices how freaked out Thomas look. It's not seeing him as human Martin realizes— it's seeing him here. Hold up, who brought his boy here? "Aw shit..." He's not the man for swearing, but this really causes it. For exactly three seconds later. His wife Annabelle steps into the room with April and with who he presumes is her new boyfriend.

"Thomas, why are you standing at the..." Annabelle's eyes lands on the man sitting beside Jeremy inside the waiting room. "door." No one can tell her this is Jeremy, for not only does she knows the differences between the two brothers and especially the one she married with. But Jeremy is sitting right beside him and looks like a dog caught in a trap. The one beside him is frozen to the spot and her own reaction is very much the same. There is no doubt who that is, but that only makes this way more disturbingly. She lets out a scream seeing Martin— her dead husband right before her. Would probably have screamed for several minutes if Martin hasn't jumped on his feet and taken her hands with that voice he always uses when she is upset. "Annabelle, I know this is—" before he can finish, her boyfriend Rasmus knocks him to the floor with a punch to the face.

Jeremy and Tim are both on their feet, latter yelling at the man who punched Martin out cold: "What the hell is your problem?!" while Jeremy is racking his brain in how the holy hell he is supposed to explain this to Annabelle.

Why did everyone have to arrive at the hospital at the same fucking time?

yeaah... that's going to be one hell of a talk. if Annabelle's boyfriend will stop knocking Martin's human body out, it's not built to withstand a punch to the face XD

Let's hope Jeremy can keep Tim from murdering that guy and this Rasmus should be happy he's not dealing with Tim in his rabbit form.

stay safe people.
