Akko, Lotte and Sucy were exploring the Banshee tower, dealing with the various dangers of the dungeon, which already had the master key in their hands, managing to deal with the various creatures on the way that were very related to the supernatural, they are already climbing more floors in the tower, gradually approaching where the tower's boss monster is, soon they finish resting and follow the path already having the keys in hand, after dealing with monsters, they head to the room ahead.
As they entered the room, they were greeted once again by Stalfos Knights with some Bari and Hyu flying around, with many traps around them firing fireballs, which already showed that this part of the dungeon was going to get tough, so Atsuko began to focus her attacks on the skeletons that are the biggest problem.
The other two, on the other hand, focussed on the smaller creatures, since the Hyu have a much more unpredictable route, as do the Bari, which are still in smaller pieces, which they managed to deal with, with Yanson having a long range because she used a spear she had assembled, while Manbavaran used her bow and arrow.
"Wow, these monsters keep appearing, I'm really getting fed up with all these creatures" said Kagari, showing a lot of discontent with the situation.
"Akko, focus on those Stalfos before we get killed, they're too close to us" said the pink-haired woman.
"Hey, I'm trying, but there are too many of them, sometimes they get distracted by you, and I can also get hit, like I'm getting hit a bit and getting hurt" said the crimson-eyed girl.
The three of them went on to finish off the creatures, which ensured that the passage to the next room was open, but they were already faced with a corridor with a door and a key. In this corridor there were several medusa traps firing fireballs and Banshees, which kept swooping towards the girls.
The screams were very disturbing, causing sound waves with some impact, but they soon found their way round, especially with the warrior from Luna Nova taking the opportunity to test the staff she had obtained, passing to the other side of the corridor practically intangible and the spell working for whoever she was holding in her hand too, which meant they were able to avoid the attacks until they reached the door which already indicated another staircase, going up one more floor in the tower.
"We're not going to stop climbing this tower anyway" said the brown-haired woman.
"We have to keep going, we're almost there Akko, soon I'm going to take a break from all this, I thought it would be fun to have lots of supernatural creatures that I could improve in my necromancy, but it's getting boring" said the one with the wine-coloured eyes.
On the next floor, this time the Stalfos Knights were even darker, which signalled something, when they went to attack there were only two of them and they were much more agile than normal, as well as being more resistant to the power of the boomerangs, so much so that many glancing hits happened to the three that ended up being hit as they dodged, but soon with two boomerang hits the monsters were immobilised.
"Wow, these things have managed to open up some good wounds in me, I've even got a few cuts and bleeds, but let's go and blow each one up" said the future queen of Webinburgh throwing bombs.
But the bombs didn't kill the Stalfos instantly, and they ended up just getting back on their feet and going on the attack. Akko had to repeat the same process, she even had to use her boots more to dodge the attacks coming at her that could do some damage, but she came out practically unscathed, much more attentive to what was coming at her, and immobilised the monsters.
"Now take those pushy monsters" said Atsuko, and this time the bombs really did the trick.
With the way more open, they followed the path to another room ahead, only to be surprised again when they were locked in, only this time the surprise came in a different way with the return of the Goriya, these red ones, which were shooting fireballs, so much so that they stopped along the way so as not to be in the creature's reach.
"Stay still, these monsters keep repeating our movements and going in the opposite direction, if we turn round they'll attack" explains Kagari.
The three of them followed the tip from their friend, who had already made the warning very clear. The first to turn round and face the red creatures was the one who warned them, noticing that the monster was firing multiple fireballs and when they hit the walls they ended up splitting into smaller ones that hit them in other directions, which spread out and hit even the trio.
"Akko, be more attentive, you're talking to us and you're still causing us pain, those burns hurt a lot" said Sucy.
"Sorry, I didn't realise that was the attack" said the crimson-eyed girl.
Manbaravan ended up killing all three of them using her necromancy to summon Stalfos for the attack, which distracted the Goryia a lot, which was enough for her to send arrows to finish off the trio of monsters in the room and open the way for them to move on.
"Now I've had to do everything, come on, this dungeon should be over by now" said the one with the wine-coloured eyes.
And once again they end up in simply another room that they are locked in, this time there are no enemies which is quite strange, but they soon come across old acquaintances as soon as a piece of the floor begins to float and attack towards the girls who quickly dodge it and that wasn't without something to get in the way. Jellyfish traps firing fireballs and winders on the walls prevented the girls from making any attempt to stay protected against the walls, as the traps circled them in almost every corner.
"Fucking hell, these things are coming to attack us again, I've lost count of how many flying floors come at us and now we have to keep jumping from one side to the other" said the brown one.
"Well let's focus, these things hurt, I'll summon several Stalfos, they'll serve as targets for these floors or at least destroy them with an attack, and shield us" said the Manbavaran.
But those floors weren't just anything, some of them were ghosts and they ended up following wherever the trio went and dodging at a slower speed, but they were spinning, which still gave them an attack capable of hurting, which was already causing some injuries to the girls in the trio, all to open up the necessary path.
"Wow, those floors are nasty, I'm already getting hurt by them, even though I have a shield they still catch on my back, that's when they're not spitting fire at me, ahhhh" said the wounded warrior from Luna Nova.
"Tell me about it, the Stalfos can't cope, those damned things are fast and ignore most of my invocations" said the pink-haired one.
"And I, who don't even have the magic to summon spirits, am at my worst with a spear here, even though I know how to turn round" said Lotte.
They were being hit hard by the traps and floors, which were already badly wounded, to the point where they were limp from being hit and the attacks were still continuing, so Akko protected the trio with a shield, to the point where they were almost exhausted by the wall, she took the pot of fairies out of her bag and opened it, which helped to heal the already weakened girls.
"That's much better, come on, there's still something missing" said Atsuko, returning a little more healed.
"Ugh Akko, we've barely healed and we won't be able to rest, I hate that there's this kind of thing getting in our way" said Sucy.
"Unfortunately that happens" said Kagari.
They went in, more willing and less wounded, to finish off the rest of the dangers they had, withstanding a lot more of the floors, which were already very few, to the point that there would be almost nothing left, and the attacks were really working.
Even so, the wounds were still being inflicted, to the point that they managed to hold out until the end and the door was opened, but they were still a little wounded, not to the point of being debilitated, but they held out until they reached a staircase, which relieved them, and together they walked up the whole staircase, arriving at where it faced a hall, in which there was precisely the door that faced the boss of the dungeon, and so they even stopped to rest.
"Wait a minute there Akko, before we go in the door let's take a break, I don't know if we can stand fighting like this" said Manbavaran.
"But you're not really going, unfortunately I'm the one who's going to do it. Stay there and rest, I'll take care of this thing" said the crimson-eyed woman looking at the door.
"I know, I'm talking about you the most, we only have four pots of fairies left, who knows how long you'll last, so I want you to drink a potion I made, so you won't use up the fairies, wait five minutes and you'll be 100 per cent recovered soon" said the pink-haired woman, handing the potion to her friend.
"Can't it be instantaneous?" Asks the brownish girl.
"I don't know how to make these potions, we have limited resources to put them together, so take this potion that will slowly regenerate your wounds, then you can think about going on the attack again" said the one with the wine-coloured eyes.
"Okay, I don't really have much choice, I'll have to think about it, it's just that I'd really like to beat this monster up soon" said the warrior from Luna Nova.
As Akko took the potion, her friends also took the liquid in other vials that the necromancer from Luna Nova had made to help them stay somewhat unharmed in case something happened to Atsuko, who could take what was until then far from danger in the worst case scenario.
The five minutes passed, yielding a few conversations between the friends, who were already becoming more relieved, feeling as if the bruises were gone, only the rips in their clothes that were quite evident, and in Kagari's case it was only in her trousers, since the other parts of her tunic ended up regenerating with magic as if they were part of her body, so she got up feeling her body renewed.
"So? Surprised by the results, I told her to wait" said Sucy.
"I even feel a bit stronger than before, what a miraculous potion Sucy, thank you, now I'm going to Banshee tower monster, I'm ready" said the crimson-eyed one.
"Take care Akko, defeat this monster for us" said the smiling Lotte.
"I'm going, I'm going..." Said the brownish girl, taking a deep breath.
"Then I want to know if the plan really worked, I want you to tell me everything, break this monster's face" said Manbavaran, who received a thumbs-up from the warrior from Luna Nova.
It was time to enter the boss's office, the room seemed dark, a small staircase led to a room that had a pentagram drawn on the floor, which looked like a ritual, followed by many candles being lit as soon as the feet were placed on the spot, They light up in a very frightening way, followed by Hyu, Banshees and ghosts all accumulating in a centre that creates an aura around them, which then reveals itself to be a ghostly woman staring at the future queen of Wedinburgh.
Monster Ghost Lady Banshee Queen
Straight awayAkko goes to use her slashing attack on the creature and notices that it's no use as it passes right through her, which makes it very clear that the ghost could be intangible, so the ghost comes atAtsuko who promptly dodges and notices that she still manages to hit it with her arm and at that moment is partially tangible, which Kagari tries to hit with her sword, but just in time she detaches herself from the frightening creature.
"Ahhh so this creature is like that, I'll have to be really clever against this thing if I want to win somehow, I'll have to use my brain, come on Akko, let's make this thing more interesting" said the crimson-eyed one.
The Banshee soon changes direction and starts shouting at the girl, who is then hit by the ghost, causing her to be pushed and narrowly miss hitting the walls with several stakes and spears as she tries to make a cut with her sword and is released, realising that this is not going to be such an easy fight.
(This Banshee is no small feat, I need to use my intelligence here, I even know what to do, let's see if this can work).
The warrior from Luna Nova went into intangible mode just as the Banshee was about to scream and it really worked as the scream didn't affect the girl who just went for it and the ghost stood still, but when she was hit she noticed that the master sword ended up wounding her which gave the future queen of Wedinburgh a boost as she was leaking a bit of ectoplasm with that attack.
(So that's the secret, I'm going to alternate between tangible and intangible, I have the same chance of attacking, she's going to have to be clever with me here, I can't spend so much magic if it doesn't go to shit, I could lose my chances, I have to think about every move).
The ghost had already realised that the attacks could continue in this way, so she launched what seemed to be fireballs at Akko, who dodged many of them, only to be surprised by the supernatural woman who appeared right in front of her, showing off those huge nails coming out of her hands.
The Banshee pierced through the shield and almost penetrated the warrior, who used her sword to almost rip off the creature's arm, which she removed just by touching it with her nails, giving Atsuko a shallow cut.
(It seems that she really isn't one to mess around, I have to think carefully before making every move, as if my life depended on it).
Kagari also went for it, she used her intangibility with magic to attack, but the Banshee switched to being tangible on the spot, which rendered her attacks useless, and she was then able to partially use her tangibility to attack with her nails, which ended up meeting the sword.
(What the hell, she can stay not only as long as she wants, but she can also choose where she can cross, that way I'll never defeat her, or I can appeal to other ways, in pure swordplay I don't think this will be solved).
The crimson-eyed woman put her sword away and decided to use another method of attack, calling on her staff and immediately using arrows. This even put the Banshee on her guard, as the arrows grazed her shoulder and opened up her ghostly body, which was already oozing a little more ectoplasm.
"I didn't come dead unprepared, I have the power in my hands, you can come ghost, I also have my weapons" said the brownish girl.
Banshee didn't let herself be taken in by the arrows and went straight for the girl, who was trying to shoot another arrow, but didn't end up catching it after the creature disappeared into several smaller ones and flew very close to the warrior from Luna Nova, who used the hook of her staff to avoid being taken by surprise, dodging a cut and launching another arrow that caught the monster in the shoulder.
(I have to calculate the attacks well, if I make a mistake here I die, this place is full of what can kill me).
Soon the ghost was climbing upwards, even though she was wounded, with her arms open, catching the girl who was still falling, with her staff in her hands and turning it into a hook, she even managed to hook it into the ground, which ended up preventing the ghost from getting close to the ceiling, which also had a lot of spears.
Akko cleverly uses the hook to pull herself to the ground, so that the banshee also ends up there, only for the creature to break free and become intangible, which Atsuko does with everything on the ground, but she manages to quickly use the spell to become intangible and ends up falling unharmed, but the banshee takes the opportunity to use her nails to give the girl a very strong blow.
(I have to think fast all the time, I confess she can be easy, but she's a bit of a pain to defeat, what if? I wonder if I could cause something, as it appears near the light it looks like something, I'll try that).
Kagari rolls on the ground, becoming tangible again, and ends up being grazed by the banshee that stands above the girl, who then uses her hook to drive right through the monster's body, which becomes intangible. Then the crimson-eyed girl takes her sword in hand and gives it a thrust, which leaves the creature intangible, allowing the girl to pass straight through as she wanted. On the way, already in the air, she switches her weapon to her elemental staff and starts lighting flames in the direction of the ghost, who obviously dodges.
"Let's make things a little warmer" said the brownish girl.
The fire strategy really worked, it served to show that in the presence of fire, the Banshee's weak point was a great scream. At the time, the warrior from Luna Nova ended up being intangible for a while, taking advantage of this and launching several fireballs all around the dungeon, which became more and more alight, while the monster screamed as a way of putting out the flames.
With her bow in hand, the future queen of Wedinburgh launched arrows and more arrows, many of which hit the Banshee squarely, others went straight through, but they really caused wounds, to the point where a lot of ectoplasm was dripping onto the floor.
(Now I think I see something, I have to attack this monster's weak point more, at least it's being easier than the other creatures in the dungeon, it's not demanding too much of me).
All the ectoplasm that bled out of that monster made her scream out in pain, to the point that it could be heard from far away and if it hadn't been for the intangibility effect, it would have burst the Hyllian of Luna Nova's tympanums. Then the Banshee changed her attack, she also threw fireballs, only hers were different, they even wiped out the ones Akko had thrown and with that one thing was noticed.
The darker the environment became, with only the lights caused by the Banshee, the bigger and stronger the monster became
(This is something Diana would destroy in no time, that's the secret then, let's see if she can handle it then, I still have a lot of magic to burn)
Atsuko begins to concentrate a fireball, firing it at the Banshee, which launches another one, causing a collision between fireballs that illuminate the firelight caused by Kagari on one side, and the darkness of the ghost on the other, which is getting very strong, but intelligence always speaks louder for the crimson-eyed one.
Realising that she was losing out in the collision of fire, she simply takes bombs out of her pocket and throws them with her free hand, passing by the collision and some explosions that disturb the creature.
"I still have a handful of tricks" said the warrior from Luna Nova.
That collision of flames becomes very intense and hot, covering a little of the arena and illuminating a lot on both sides, which Banhsee doesn't take lightly either and begins to shout, her shouts causing the intensity of the fire thrown by the brownish woman to decrease.
Realising she didn't have much to do, she took one last shot at the fire and decided to end the collision, which caused a general explosion of fire everywhere, affecting the two who were fighting, who were slightly injured and got up, facing each other.
(Apparently the fire didn't work, my magic is getting short enough, I need to attack soon or it could be my last time alive and in one piece here, come on Akko).
Akko takes a deep breath and fires an arrow, which the Banshee dodges, and then launches a fireball, which Atsuko also dodges. The two of them move closer to each other, the sword meeting the sharp nails of the crimson-eyed one, facing each other closely, until she deactivates her intangibility to try and get a cut on Kagari.
Knowing this, the crimson-eyed one makes a quick exchange of tangibility, crossing over before she can take a blow from the nail. She then dodges, receiving a grazing cut when the banshee deactivates, but this ended with the brownish one igniting her sword and simply managing to land a flaming blow that greatly affects her attack against the monster, which flies backwards, agonised by the flames.
"It's not over yet" said the warrior from Luna Nova with her bow in hand.
In agony, the Banshee used its own flames to regenerate and extinguish the ones that were consuming it, but it had to focus on extinguishing itself without knowing that arrows were being launched, and many of them, to the point of opening many wounds and leaking a lot of ectoplasm, so once again the creature flew away to dodge the arrows, getting behind a pillar, which caused Hyllian of Luna Nova to smile.
She slams her elemental staff into the ground and it gradually generates flames that light up the whole place, weakening the banhsee, which comes out of the pillar more regenerated and weakened by the excess of light, already starting to scream and with one last trace of magic left, having limited time, Akko becomes intangible and runs through the flames, where she then uses the hook, sliding quickly along the ground until she gets closer to the ghost.
(Now it's all or nothing, my magic could run out here, either I'll get lucky or I'll end up screwing myself badly, I hope I end up with the former).
Using the hook as usual, the Banshee became intangible, letting it pass through her, which Akko passed through, becoming intangible, then cancelling the intangibility and using the sword quickly when the monster defended itself, which was followed by a more powerful burst of flames, followed by a thrust from the girl with the boomerang that simply managed to make the Banshee fall over in the midst of so much fire that Atsuko held on to the hook to avoid falling into the flames while the Banshee agonised, screaming and screaming.
"I'm sorry, but Hyrule depends on me defeating you to be saved, apart from the fact that you tried to kill me, so I don't know if it was that bad" said Kagari.
Soon the creature was dying amidst the flames, which were very intense and hot and then went out, so that the girl could get off the ground, relieved to see Victoria McLaren inside the emerald with her arms open and smiling at the crimson-eyed girl who had managed to finish yet another dungeon.
"It seems that you have succeeded once again girl, you have gone far and defeated the Banshee, all my power will be very useful for you to defeat the damned Ganondorf once and for all and also bring peace to Hyrule, as well as bring peace to my family, after what he did to my descendant who was such a wonderful queen to this land, she feels very proud of you now, I'm sure you're doing your best Akko, don't feel guilty about what happened, you're not to blame for anything, you're still going to achieve something great, you're going to save Hyrule, I trust you a lot, Woodward did more than the right thing in choosing you to be the great warrior who's going to save us, you proved to be very intelligent against the Banshee, now I'm going from where you'll soon find all of us and unleash that great power that will defeat Ganon" Said Victoria who after talking to Akko disappears turning into many butterflies that fly into the sky.
As usual, Atsuko takes the heart that helps her regain all her vitality, which she didn't injure much in the battle with the Banshee because much of the creature was intangible, although she ended up getting very tired because it was a battle where she needed to use her brain more to find a way to land a blow and find the perfect strategy.
Kagari then calls her friends to come with her, telling them that everything has been done and the dungeon is finished. They celebrate and walk until they reach the exit portal.
"You did well Akko, not bad, you defeated the monster, it was even faster than we expected it to take" said Sucy.
"You have no idea, she was hard to defeat, but at least I did it, I finished the third dungeon, now there are only six more to go so we can free the nine witches and bring peace to Hyrule, let's go!" Said the crimson-eyed girl, celebrating.
They walked to the portal, and when they were transported back, something very strange happened around them, it was still cold, but at the same time, the sky, the overcast, disappeared, for the first time in centuries, the sky was blue, strangely because of the effect of the tower having been finalised, which everyone looked at strangely from the outside, that darkness disappeared.
"The sky... The sky is..." Said the surprised brown woman.
"The sky is blue, it wasn't like this when we left" said Lotte.
"The legend has been fulfilled, it's what we've been waiting for, the hero who defeats the Banshee Queen will bring light back to the island of Eire" said Ural, who was standing outside her house.
"Were you waiting for us the whole time?" asks the warrior from Luna Nova.
"Marjoirane is curious and went to see her friends, so I decided to go out too, we talked to them and they told us they had gone to the dungeon, so here I am waiting for them, your friends are at home" said the lady.
"Oh, you'd think, well it looks like we've finally done it, let's get ready to leave, my wife should be waiting for me on the boat" said Akko, scratching the back of his head.
The trio followed the older woman, who took them home, that day with blue skies even though it was cold, there was still a sense of relief. While away on the boat, the two sisters realised that something was different and were soon told about the news, which arrived very quickly.
"You did it! We can see the streak of light that has appeared here in the skies, indicating that the third witch has appeared in the temple, well done girls, so you're all on the boat now?" Croix said.
"They're still outside, but soon they'll come here, it seems that there are people on the island, we could see two people going to the camp, they were very friendly with the girls, the strange thing is that out of nowhere the sky turned blue, as soon as the dungeon was finished, it even seems strange, like a sign that everything is changing" Diana said as she saw the blue sky.
"It's the power of the nine witches, that's the power we're going to use, it seemed like a small thing, but look how much Akko can do, she will undoubtedly bring peace to Hyrule with all this power together, I'll be rooting for her a lot, when you come back I'll call you again, I'll take a break, I'll call you at night" Meridies said.
"All right, Croix, we're safe and sound here, at least we're relieved that everything is safer" Cavendish said as the conversation drew to a close.
Hellene didn't even think twice about throwing a smaller boat into the water because she had no reason to wait, since the rain had stopped completely, which surprised the older woman, but she quickly shrugged off the younger woman's invitation, because she couldn't wait to miss her beloved Akko, who had just finished the dungeon, and so she sailed the smaller boat to the beach, already walking around the island she had been watching so much.
"Akko, here I come" said the smiling queen.
"Now that there's no more rain, we don't have to look after the boat. Come on, sis, our wives will love the surprise" said Hellene.
The third dungeon of the nine witches has been completed, yet another conquest by the girls over Lord Hanbridge, who still has no idea of the great things that have been going on under the hood. The dangerous Banshee Queen was finally defeated at the hands of Akko, who showed a lot of her intelligence in dealing with a battle where you can't always win with brute force, especially against a monster that simply cancels out any use of it, but the journey isn't over yet, with six more dungeons to go and a few more adventures to come.
See you, banshee witches...
