Akko reached the dungeon of Wangari's temple, which at first was a bit of a desert with monsters coming out of the sand and everything, but soon everything changed to lava when the girl reached the second part of the dungeon, with monsters also linked to fire and magma, and she was able to get down safely, as her boots helped her a lot to be able to walk along the walls.
Atsuko soon begins to use the hook to hang from the ceiling, swinging from one part of the ceiling to the other until she reaches a platform where she wakes up some blazing bats, who start to attack her. She uses her katana and easily knocks the creatures down with her slashing projectile, some just die in the air, others fall into the lava with the impact.
(There's very little left, the heat here is really killing me, but I have to keep going, if I get to the end in time, I'll defeat the monster and come out of this more refreshed, come on Akko, from what I can see here the path is full of these platforms and there's a door with a key, lucky for me I ended up getting the key up there).
Kagari continued along the path, jumping from one part of the ceiling to the other, attracting the attention of the blazing bats, while the mouldworms in the lava couldn't reach her from below. She did this for a long time, calling many of the creatures and picking up her elemental staff.
When she reached the end of the path, she fell with style, turned round and launched a freezing ray that hit all the monsters following her, turning them into ice stones, a good part of which fell into the lava and the others ended up falling to the ground and breaking, much to the girl's relief
(I'd better save the magic, I've got a potion left over, I can even recover my magic, but I don't know if it's going to be total, in any case, I'm not going to spend it, after all I'm sure that this monster is now going to be a fire monster, which I can have at hand for the best attack against this thing).
She entered the door that opened and with that she reached a corridor where there were many precious stones embedded in the walls, as well as giving relief from the heat, but not from the monsters, with some Zazaks and Aargis who were firing balls of magma at the crimson-eyed woman who was using her katana to return the attacks since it could really hurt.
The corridor was a bit curvy and winding along the way, but it soon came to a double fork, where the brown-haired girl chose the left-hand side, coming across fire stalfos knights who were firing magma balls at the girl.
(Now it looks like they're not going to shoot fireballs anymore, they're really giving it their all to defeat me, these monsters have become more powerful, I knew it would get worse, the girls could get worse dealing with these more powerful things)
The skeletons were easily dealt with as their attacks were beaten back, so the girl went into a doorway, when she got there she arrived in a trap where she was locked, in a place that suddenly became a pit of lava with a single platform and on it many mouldworms appeared, starting to go from one side to the other, jumping off the platform and leaving a trail of lava in the middle.
(Damn it, I've fallen into another one of these traps, I've got to kill these things soon or it'll get worse, come on)
The warrior from Luna Nova began to move towards the mouldworms, but the monsters were very agile as they moved along the platform, which began to make it difficult for the girl, who even though she was fast only managed to hit one, which also reduced the space on the platform, which was filled with molten lava that also melted a little from where Hyllian was standing.
Akko had an idea. She took a deep breath and took out her staff, starting to create glyphs on the ground. When the first creature passed by, it simply froze, which left a gap for the girl to reach out and hit the frozen mouldworm, killing the creature.
(Let's see what this thing is capable of, I'll have to be clever or there won't be any platform left for me to stand on, apart from the fact that these little monsters are immune to lava, it seems, so there's no point in sinking there, I'll have to hit it with ice anyway).
It was working, each mouldworm was being hit by the freezing glyphs and with that Atsuko showed how she was doing better and better, killing each of the remaining monsters, which made her secure the door to continue to the other side, which she then jumped through, already panting a little because her nostrils were burning from the heat, but she managed to find some refreshment in a winding corridor with some crystals around it.
(This molten lava looks like it's going to make my nostrils melt for real, I don't know how I put up with it, if it wasn't for these clothes I would have died at this point, it's not for nothing that I came here alone, the girls
could really die being exposed for so long in this heat, I feel like at any moment my nostrils could start bleeding).
There were a few blazing bats in the corridor, but it was something that Kagari was able to deal with as she just cut down a few of the ones that went up, in this case all of them since they were provoked by her approach.
There were also a few stalfos knights who prevented her from getting any closer, and the path at least became a little less hot as the clothes began to hold more and cooled the girl down, who dodged as best she could to avoid being hit by the balls of magma aimed at her.
At the end of the corridor they come to a door, and when they open it they are faced with what looks like a well, a drop, which already activates the hook hanging from the ceiling, and they go down until they reach the bottom where, simply in the midst of so much heat, there is water, and that relieves the crimson-eyed girl, who throws all the water on her face, relieved
(Phew, finally a bit of freedom, a bit of water, I was already tired of this excessive heat, one more breath, how nice, I already feel refreshed after this, let's see what's around here, I'm sure from the look of the place here it's a fairy sanctuary, I don't doubt it at all, it was just what I needed).
It really was a fairy sanctuary, and there the brown-haired girl began to pick up some fairies and put them in the glass jars inside her bag, since it was getting empty, as well as using the creatures to recover her health since exposure to the heat of the lava ends up hurting her a bit, even with the special tunic.
After all this, she throws herself into the water to cool off a bit. The downside of the tunic is that it is waterproof, which makes everything difficult, but not for the clever warrior from Luna Nova, who took off the layers of the tunics she was wearing, getting wet underneath.
(I'm probably going to have to go back to the car wash in the extreme heat, so I'm going to make a point of leaving my clothes very cool underneath, now that I'm completely wet, this will solve all the problems I had with the heat, I hope so, I'm even going to be smarter and leave everything to freeze, that way it lasts longer).
Hyllian froze her clothes underneath, to the point where she felt very cold. She then put her robes back on, returning to normal, no longer feeling the internal cold, until the freezing became warmer, then she went back up, used the hook and arrived there feeling cool again in the midst of the heat.
As there was nowhere to go, the girl just made her way back to the fork, which even caused her clothes to melt underneath, causing a slightly refreshing sensation as cold water dripped down her body.
(Whew, that really solved something, I didn't think it would help at all, but it's really coming in handy, especially in this horrible heat that's been going on in here, I'm not feeling any heat anymore luckily, the trick of leaving my underwear frozen really worked, now I just have to keep going, I'm sure I'm getting to the end of the road)
Akko started to head towards the other fork and the corridor was already full of blazing bats and zazaks, which she was somehow able to deal with calmly, as well as being refreshed, her movements were even more agile because of this, since she wasn't tired from the heat present in the place.
Walking down the corridor, she comes to a door, and as she opens it, another trap appears in front of her: what doesn't appear is lava, but it also comes in the form of many Stalfos knights of magma who start throwing balls of magma at Atsuko, who dodges and throws them back.
(As I expected, there are always these things coming to hit me, I really have to deal with little monsters like that, ugh, what a bitch, well come on, let's hope they don't get up to anything, apparently).
And the skeletons soon began to unite as they usually do, forming one that was larger and more resistant to the magma balls, but they were still affected, which meant that the girl had to use more strength to counter the attacks.
There were five of them launching attacks at Kagari, who was already finding a way to make them hit herself and even managed to hit one of them, which ended up dying, leaving four more, which cleared the way for her to attack the rest of the creatures that were constantly attacking her.
(Wow, they keep trying, those fireballs are heavy to hit, I think I'm going to the limit of what my katana can do, I'm really being pushed to my limit of power here, I really hope I can get enough to go and defeat Andrew's curse)
She finished off the other remaining stalfos knights by hitting them in the same way as when they were trying to hit the crimson-eyed girl herself, and so the way to the door became clear, freeing up another corridor for
her to pass through, winding and full of creatures.
Blazing bats and aargis headed towards the girl, who counter-attacked with mastery, until the coolness of the clothes stopped helping, as the clothes underneath simply dried out, and the brown-haired girl felt a little tired from the heat.
(Damn, it didn't even last a while, so I'll have to be quick enough to go and defeat the monster in this dungeon, before the heat finishes me off, but I'll still try, when I get to the door that leads to the boss I'll try hard enough).
The corridor soon came to an end and she ended up in a room where there was a door to the boss's room, but it was being guarded by old enemies who were present in the eastern palace, which the warrior from Luna Nova provoked by attracting them to start walking, the statues came close firing balls of magma at the girl who dodged being attacked.
When she finds a way through, she uses her katana to make multiple slashes that end up shredding the statues and clearing the way, much to Hyllian's relief.
(I'm already exhausted, I can't stand this heat any longer, well at least the time I wanted has come, let's see if this boss will be strong enough to defeat me all refreshed, I'll have to use the maximum of my magic here to stay refreshed)
Akko begins to take off her robes and uses a freezing spell, leaving the clothes underneath completely frozen, not to mention the heat she was feeling internally, she felt extremely hot and even poured a little water over her body, which she then quickly put on the other robes, becoming more refreshed, then drank the remaining potion, recovering her health and magic, practically becoming more powerful when she felt that her magic had fully recovered and with that she confidently entered the boss's room.
"Come on, it's time to get cracking" said Atsuko as she walked through the door.
The torches open, revealing that there is simply an arena with several stalfos looking on, like a large coliseum and it even looked like a huge celebration, torches light up and a huge skeleton falls from the ceiling, it was a combination of the three variations of those found by Kagari who was all surprised.
Skeleton warrior monster Stalfos King
With a huge sword, also able to fire spells from it, and also a crown of fire, this was the monster he was going to attack. He leapt upwards towards the crimson-eyed woman, who threw herself down to avoid being hit, and also hit her with a ball of magma. A giant skeleton, 6 metres tall and very agile, would be a problem for the brown-haired woman to deal with in battle.
(It looks like the king of the skeletons has arrived, now I'm really going to have to battle and take revenge for all those arseholes I've been dealing with, time to break some bones, I'll just study his movements, he seems to imitate his brothers, but I'm not going to test my luck).
And then he began to cast spells at the girl, and in addition to the magma balls, he began to throw lightning bolts at her, which caused her to roll from side to side, trying as best she could to avoid being hit lethally. The monster took another leap and the stalfos in the audience celebrated each attack.
The warrior from Luna Nova immediately thought of a way to attack, she used arrows in her eyes and it simply didn't work, even though they were visible and glowing, it wasn't a weak point.
Hyllian used another weapon that she hadn't used for a long time, the boomerang, which had been improved, and when it hit, it made the bones make a very peculiar noise, as well as flashing a very strange light.
(Ah so that's it, I'll have to defeat it in a classic way anyway, so I'll gain some distance before I get hit by this thing, at least its arena isn't as hot as the rest of this dungeon, I'm not dying from the heat as much thanks to the clothes cooling me down, but I don't want to risk getting too hot).
Akko gained more distance by getting away from the creature, which was still agile enough to want to get close, so she had to resort to throwing more boomerangs and also bombs, which had an effect, leaving some bones half cracked, which could be just the signal she needed to win against the boss of that room. The audience booed at what was happening and soon they began to leave and go into the middle of the coliseum arena, but they didn't go for Atsuko, they went near the larger Stalfos and as they got closer they began to disintegrate and heal some of the boss's bones.
(What the fuck, this little shit has his allies to keep regenerating, but they can't stay like this all the time, let's see if he'll be able to have all that power when I do it)
Kagari started throwing bombs in the direction of the audience and the various smaller stalfos came running out with most of them dead and not a piece left, flying the remains of the pieces around the arena, which the boss picked up for himself and healed, with almost all the bones not cracked, which was the moment to start attacking.
There were plenty of bombs left and the boomerang was the only way to weaken the boss who was starting to attack more quickly, but the cracks were forming around the bones in his body, and without much of an audience to use and regenerate, things only got worse.
(Who'd have thought my bombs would come in handy again this time, this boss is really challenging, it's not something I just have to fight with a sword, it's really something to get my head round, but I'm almost there, a few more bombs and this thing goes down).
She continued to use the boomerangs with bombs, but every now and then she was grazed by a few balls of magma and the cut from the huge sword itself, so she had to use her shield to protect herself, but the injuries were obvious, apart from the explosion of the bombs themselves, which often didn't give her enough time to escape the blast and so she ended up being hit by the shockwave.
Even so, the crimson-eyed girl didn't give up, the Stalfos King was regenerating with the rest of what was left of the audience, but could never get past the state of being badly cracked, which meant that the girl just needed a few more explosions.
(This thing is really hurting me, it's giving me a hard time, but soon it'll be bone dust, there's no way I can beat it like this, I've still got some fairies on my hands, I'll be able to finish this dungeon and bring peace to Hyrule once again)
The Stalfos king is still trying to make more varied attacks with the sword and go for the upper hand, but he ends up coming across the brown-haired girl defending herself with the katana too, only for him to take advantage of the gap to throw balls of magma at the girl, who has to dodge and narrowly misses being hit, and he takes the opportunity to throw the boomerang once more, noticing that if he hits her in the head, her whole body simply starts flashing.
(This is going to be a marvellous thing to do, I never thought that defeating a monster would be this easy, it's time to show you how it's done, you can come with everything terrible creature, now it will be the end of you, I thought that even this skeleton would have more to offer, but it was ridiculously easy).
The warrior from Luna Nova throws bombs and even turns round with her arms crossed, thinking that this has defeated the monster, but her peace is soon interrupted when she is hit full in the back by a magical ray from the creature that throws her against the wall. As she turns round, she is almost hit again, but she uses her shield, noticing that only a huge head remains floating and starts throwing rays of light in the direction of Hyllian, who immediately takes a pot of fairies out of her bag to recover her health and go on the attack.
You have a second form then? Interesting to know, but it won't be much use when it turns to bone dust," said Akko, pointing his sword at the skeleton.
Atsuko immediately used the boomerang, but it was simply a practically useless attack that ended up not working very well, no matter how hard she tried nothing worked, so she used bombs, but they also proved to be ineffective against a creature of this calibre.
Leaving her with no ideas, she soon notices the spell coming her way; because she's using the fairy pot, she doesn't fully recover her life and is left without the projectile cut
Kagari decides to take a chance and hits that ray of light with her sword and notices that it works, it simply bounces off and hits the wall, which she's already thinking big about when she sees that attack.
(So that's what it's going to be? Well, apparently it's time to attack by rebutting this thing's own attacks, I'm sure it'll work like that).
But there was also another problem: the floating skull was throwing other things in the girl's direction, as well as getting closer since it was emanating a light around it that could cause some damage if it hit the crimson-eyed girl, who was trying to avoid being attacked too hard.
The stalfos King even managed to get close enough for the girl to try to defend herself by hitting her skull, and the impact was enough to cause her to be electrocuted, throwing her against the wall.
(Ah so I can't get close to that thing, I'll have to attack it another way apparently, I'll have to rely on casting that thing's spells back at it if I want to win, that attack of his really hurt me, now all the refreshment I had in my clothes is gone, I'm all burnt up, the water only helped make it worse, what a bitch).
And there were more lights coming towards her, only this time they were knocked back by the girl, who was a little weakened, but that was enough for the floating skull's light barrier to stop emanating, and that was the moment when the warrior from Luna Nova decided to run towards the monster, avoiding other attacks, getting closer and making a cut where the jewel is and this caused the monster to start blinking and blinking, while its light began to emanate again like an aura, so much so that Hyllian hits one more and ends up electrocuted and thrown again, having to resort to using another pot of fairies so as not to end up dead.
(So that's it, if I hit this thing I'll have enough of a gap, I can see that it's even getting more cracked, I've found the secret of this creature, it's time to break some bones, but I have to be careful this monster really hurts and a lot)
Akko, with a smile on her face and her vitality restored, this time using the fairies to fully recover, launches a projectile cut that saves her from being hit and deflects the light spell thrown at her, which she then dodges using the hook on the other side of the arena, since the Stalfos King was very close.
The monster throws more balls of light and they are hit back, one of which hits the creature and from a distance Atsuko begins to use slashing projectiles that end up hitting its weak point, but it has cracked very little, to almost nothing, no matter how strong the attacks are, there were fewer of them, which ended up with her hitting the last projectile cut, catching it in the aura, which ended up launching the cut back at the girl, who threw herself to dodge it, but this caused her to be hit by the ray of light, which left her a little electrocuted.
(Apparently the projectile cut is useless against this thing, but I just need one more gap and this thing will be all brittle, let's see if this monster will be a match for me).
Confident, Kagari went back on the attack, seeing that the floating skull was getting close once again, she launched herself with the hook to the other side, managing to hit it halfway, which she simply ended up throwing herself over and falling on top of the skull, being hit by some rays of light, but even electrocuted, she landed a beautiful blow on the skull that cracked it in an extreme way, then took out the katana and was thrown by the monster's attacks that hurt her a lot by the rays of light.
"Damn, you hit hard, I don't even have time to hit anything, but I've seen enough to teach you a good lesson, you damn monster" said the crimson-eyed girl who was panting and hurt.
She makes a break for it using the hook while the skull's light aura returns, this time the beams of light are fired at full speed like an attack of desperation, and the brown-haired woman has to start running around the arena as it could end up hitting her somehow.
(Damn it, he got desperate, as usual it ends up happening, well come on, I'll manage to hit one of these, I can't let myself get carried away by his attack or I'll get badly hurt, I only have one last pot of fairies, it's my last chance).
To distract the creature, the warrior from Luna Nova drops several bombs creating a cloud of smoke and runs around the arena, which she manages to get through, grabbing the last pot of fairies, recovering and almost getting hit, as the skull was nevertheless spinning around the arena shooting out rays of light. Coming out of the smoke and healed by the last pot of fairies, not completely, but enough not to die, she sees the Stalfos king launching several rays of light in her direction that she deflects the hits with the katana, one hits the monster and she runs towards it being hit by some rays of light, but when she gets close she gives a final strike that finishes cracking the monster that simply turns to dust on the ground.
"I did it..." said the relieved Akko, who was already feeling a little electrocuted.
She even knelt down because she was so badly hurt, panting and breathing on the floor, dripping a little blood from her nose, she was at the limit of what her body could take, until an emerald appeared inside which Wangari was looking at with a smile and then Atsuko looked at the witch with a big smile.
"I've never seen someone take such a risk to defeat an onstro, you gave it your all, it was the limit of the limit, one more bolt of lightning and you could be where I am now, it was really with everything, it fills me with pride to see a warrior as powerful as you stepping in general, Akko, you're going to make it, I'm proud of you for not giving up and going all the way, it was a fantastic battle, you can be sure that I believe in you a lot, you showed me how it's done, when you meet me on Triskellion Island I'll make sure to show you how great you
are, just like my friends, goodbye Akko, good luck on your journey, there are only three more of us left!" Said Wangari, who then disappeared into several butterflies on the ceiling.
Kagari had a smile on her face, but she was so weak that she could barely walk properly after the impact of the fight, her nose was bleeding and some other parts were also oozing blood, until she touched her heart and with that her vitality began to recover, and she looked at her hands and noticed that she was even a little stronger.
She then goes to the portal where she ends up back at the entrance to the dungeon and there Amanda was waiting, seeing her friend outside and even celebrating her return.
"You did it Akko! You finished the dungeon and wow, the way your clothes are stained it must have been a bloodbath" said the impressed O'Neill.
"More mine than the creatures', it was very difficult but I managed, I almost died on that one, I think I realised I was right, some monsters and even the dungeon itself are too risky for anyone to step on who isn't wearing my clothes, it's a real oven in there" said the crimson-eyed one.
"Let's go back to the castle, the queen will love this news" said the big girl, who patted her friend on the back.
In the city itself, the Gerudos were smiling and cheering the presence of the brown-haired woman, realising that she had returned from the dungeon, noticing that she had done her job, after an arduous battle, even coming back much stronger.
When they arrived at the castle, they went to the throne room and the queen simply clapped her hands for the warrior from Luna Nova who had managed to finish the dungeon
"Congratulations Akko, you've managed to beat Wangari's temple, you've done very well girl, so I'm going to say you can take your time, you're really going to save Hyrule" said Nayla.
"I made it, but I think I need a bath, that place made me sweat like a pig, I think I released a waterfall of sweat in there, I think my robes got really dirty too, that's all I want now, it's a real oven in there, you have no idea, I almost died in there" said the panting Hyllian.
"Oh yes, I'll have the maids prepare your bath and wash your clothes, we'll arrange that, but anyway, it was necessary for you to finish the dungeon, it's because of it that the monsters appear in the Gerudo desert, you've just saved us from monsters coming and deaths happening on the desert path, they won't be summoned any more" said the queen.
"So you're saying that finishing the dungeons helps prevent more monsters from appearing?" asks the curius Akko.
"Exactly, when you finish these dungeons no more monsters appear at night, since the portal to the dark world closes in that place and with that the monsters cannot emerge from the earth or appear in another way, thanks to the dungeons completed they will not appear in all the regions where you have passed, you are guaranteeing the safety of the people, thank you for everything, the seal existed precisely so that no monsters would come to our city, we are truly grateful Akko" said the majesty surprising Atsuko who had no idea about this fact.
With this conversation, everything started to make more sense, since no more monsters were appearing in the area she had passed through, nor were they appearing as much in the land of Hyrule itself when she travelled with the group of merchants, which could be a great weapon when Andrew tries to use the monsters to his advantage, since he loses control of the summons as a result.
Akko left soon afterwards to take a relaxing bath and have her robes washed, something she could feel a huge relief from after being in the furnace that was the dungeon.
Wangari's temple, although it was a smaller and faster dungeon due to the heat inside, also proved to be very complex and complicated precisely because of this factor, putting Akko at the limit of what her body could take, Akko was tested to the limit, defeating the great threat of the Stalfos King with the last pot of fairies.
See you, lava witches...
