Akko arrived at the dungeon of Louise Du Nord's temple after a long journey, starting to explore the place and swimming underwater, but it was something that gave the girl a lot of trouble as she had to swim from one side to the other, as well as getting hurt a lot by the monsters that were there, she soon arrived at the part of the dungeon that is on the surface, after swimming for a good part of the submerged dungeon, she managed to get to where she doesn't need to use the second word to be able to breathe, but on the other hand the cold comes with everything too.
After taking a quick rest, she leaves that part of the temple, walking towards the door, which leads to a corridor, where she is immediately confronted with a slippery floor, medusa traps with freezing rays and the presence of some hardhat beetles approaching. Atsuko dodges the traps and hits the monsters with her katana, but notices that they kick a little because they are purple in colour.
(Hmmmmm, it's not the water thing, it's these monsters that are really like that, I have to be careful not to end up pushed by these things, well come on, they may be stronger, but they're still quite avoidable, I'm already feeling the cold coming on here, I think I'm going to have to put up with all this).
Kagari managed to get to the other side more calmly, opening the door at the end of the corridor and coming across an open room, where there were three doors to enter, one of them in the middle with a keyhole, and the others on either side were even open.
The frozen room was quiet, with the walls having some things that looked like creature statues, but as soon as she got closer to the left door, the crimson-eyed girl was surprised by the ice statues on the wall moving, showing themselves to be Freezors.
(Then these things move, I have to be careful, I'll get a cold hug and become an Akko ice cube, I'd better be very careful with all this).
She manages to defend herself with her sword, which causes the monster to fall apart as it is caught and destroyed, but this activates another of the Freezors, which rushes into her embrace. The brown-haired woman dodges it by throwing herself backwards, but the creature goes straight and soon changes course when it realises it has been dodged, following the warrior from Luna Nova, who is already attacking the frozen creature.
(What a confusing little monster, I have to be careful, let's go to that door just to see what's inside).
Entering the place, the girl came to a room with a trap, the doors were locked and she was soon faced with a quartet of freezors that came out of the walls following Hyllian, she dodged as the monster could also move quickly by sliding across the ice, as if it were stuck, while she had difficulty slipping a little.
(Apparently this is going to be the common enemy of this place, come on Akko you can do it, I'm not going to get hit and I don't want to risk it).
Akko dodges the creatures as best she can, but one of them ends up grazing her, which creates a layer of ice where it was touched, but she manages to kill the freezer in time before the worst happens, which stops the freezing, with only two other monsters left, which are quickly defeated as well, opening the way to the door on the left side of the room.
(That was a close one, now I know what this monster causes, I could end up turning into an ice statue if this thing touches me, I don't even want to risk what would happen if this thing was a boss monster in the dungeon, better not to risk it).
In the next room she came across a corridor full of opposing versions of the Blazing Bats, these being Blizzard Bats and also some medusa traps firing ice rays and some Bari in the corridor to get in the way even more.
Atsuko managed to dodge the freezing rays, both from the traps and from the bats that were even repelled towards the monster, one of which hit it and instantly turned it into an ice sculpture, falling to the ground and breaking into several pieces.
(Old faces with different powers, what an interesting thing, but focus Akko, I've got to move on in this dungeon, let's see what else there is here, this cold is already being a pain in the arse to endure, even though I'm trying to keep warm with my robe, to think that in the last dungeon I was dealing with the opposite and now I'm dealing with it this way).
Even with all the cold she was feeling, she made her way to a door. When she opened it, she was faced with a next corridor, where there were traps with ice balls that were spinning around an axis, as well as the presence of some hardhat beetles to get in the way, precisely on a delicate path where everything could go
wrong, but soon some were hit from afar by the projectile cut, pushed into the ice balls, becoming frozen statues.
These statues remained on the path, Kagari avoided the traps, but she didn't realise that she was on a dead-end path where at the top there was the entrance to a door, but it was locked, but luckily there was also a button nearby, signalling that there was something there.
(That's it, I just need to push those statues to activate the button, apparently it's not just one, luckily I have the hook at hand, making everything easier).
With the hook it was very easy to push the monsters transformed into statues, without having to make a whole path to push them, one by one the hardhat beetles were arriving where the statues were, accumulating and thus opening the door enough, which then the crimson-eyed one goes into the place, inside it there is a closed room, in it there are more hardhat beetles, only without a trap, just a lever at the end.
(I just need to pull the lever, the monsters I'll dodge, they won't bother me or get close, using the sword and projectile cuts).
She skated across the ice dodging the monsters, some of which were hit by slashing projectiles, and with that she had enough time to pull the lever, until she took a deep breath and realised that there were no dead monsters and began to think in her head.
(I could test something here, since I haven't killed any I think I'll practise how to attack these things).
The warrior from Luna Nova approached the five hardhat beetles, with a smile on her face she skated up to the creatures, jumping and doing a few pirouettes, she followed as if it were a dance, having a memory of the past when she was in a similar dungeon, hitting the creatures she felt how much kick she received.
By calculating everything, she was able to choreograph herself in the middle, without taking any worse risks, hitting everyone, she was practically unharmed, she was only hit once, which was enough to take away her ability to give the projectile cut, but she soon managed to defeat all the monsters
(It seems they've all gone, phew... Well, it brought back good memories, when Diana and I were dancing on the ice, it was so beautiful, but now it seems I'm going to have to make do on the way back, there's no more way round here, it's time to go to the right door, I'm just going to skate so I don't end up so bored).
That's exactly what she did, skating all the way back, dodging the leftover monsters that she left behind, and it was a fairly easy path to take even though she didn't end up having any problems getting to the initial room. What Hyllian noticed was that a pedestal had been created for what looked like something that would indicate where the larger chest would appear.
Entering the door on the right, the path also leads through a corridor on the right, which is full of Blizzard Bats and also a different version of Zazaks that shoot freezing rays.
(I didn't think they'd show up here either, it looks like they're getting better too, my shield got all frozen with it, well it looks like it's all going to be around ice, luckily the tunic protects me from freezing to death around here, at least there's that).
She dodged and attacked a few monsters on the way down the corridor, going straight, but soon came across a door on the side, making a point of going in, where she came across simply another trap, ending up locked inside, in which she came across five zazaks in the same place ready to attack.
(Of course there have to be traps here too, what the hell, well we're going to face these ice dragons and I don't understand why they're all purple, maybe it's a mixture of red and blue, in any case they're doing very badly against me)
Akko dodged the monsters with ease, hitting them all at once with a bomb, leaving them stunned and ready to receive a surprise attack from a well-honed blade in each Zazak, which in the end left none there, until a chest appeared, in which there was a key, just the one she would need to go down the middle path, But Atsuko still chose to follow the path to the right to get to the end, where there were only a few monsters, and when she reached the end of the corridor, she entered a door that had another one, but this one was more open, with jellyfish traps and a new enemy that looked like a penguin, Pengators who were already looking at the girl surrounding the corridor and began to slide towards her with their mouths open, showing their teeth.
(I've seen these creatures near the ice, but I never thought they'd have a scary version of them, so I'd better dodge before those teeth get me).
With the hook, the sliding attack of the icy creatures was avoided, but they began to spread out and become more organised, showing that they are not dumb creatures at all, so much so that the girl herself uses the hook to throw herself and then escapes by throwing herself to the other side, still having to escape from the open jaws of the penguins that were sliding towards her down the corridor, which came up against some jellyfish traps and other Pengators.
(These monsters aren't dumb at all, now it makes sense for them to appear here, I'm going to have to be smart against these things, since this could mean my safety, come on Akko, be more focussed so you don't become a penguin sting)
Kagari even tried to dodge it, but she ended up being hit by one of them, and it was quite painful as the teeth are very sharp, to the point that the sword had to be held and caused a few sparks, enough to cause her to be caught on the back by another pengator that even managed to sink its teeth in, until it ended up being killed, but it had already done some damage.
Even though she was injured, she continued down the corridor, noting that the monsters were the most intelligent she had had to deal with so far, and she was careful not to end up being taken by surprise and having a more unpleasant encounter.
With a lot of work and being hit a few times by traps that ended up hurting her a little, at least enough to avoid being caught by the creatures, she reached the door.
(By the triforce, these little things are no joke, finally a new and interesting enemy has appeared, a pity that these things are very scary of monstrous, now an intelligent monster has appeared, well I'm going in soon before I get gobbled up by these things... Shit!)
To the crimson-eyed girl's frustration, pengators also appeared in the room where she was, and to make matters worse, it was a trap room, all in the middle of ice, with a slippery, freezing floor in a cramped room, with simply six of them already starting to slide towards the brown-haired girl, who was hanging from the ceiling with the hook to dodge the first attack.
(So many things to appear and then these little monsters show up, this place really wants to make me test everything to the limit, well come on Akko, these monsters may be intelligent, but they're not geniuses).
With her wits about her, the warrior from Luna Nova simply threw a bomb at the pengators, who were helping themselves around her in circles, but she realised that they were planning to seize the girl at once.
The only thing Hyllian didn't expect was that a pengator would end up rebounding the bomb right back at her, who would end up getting hit and falling to the ground, where she would find the mouths of several pengators heading straight for her.
(Shit, this can't be the end of me, not now, I don't want to be eaten by some strange monsters in this dungeon).
With her elemental staff in hand, she simply creates a wall of ice around her that prevents her from being hit and she stands up. A little wounded, she scales the ice and launches a fireball towards one of the monsters, noticing that it was simply their weak point, killing one of them on the spot, but there are still five left who are regrouping to attack the girl on that wall, while the others circle around.
"So you want to play with it, do you? You think you're the strategising monsters, let's see if you can keep up" said Akko.
Atsuko uses the hook to throw herself, with one hand she uses her staff to shoot rays of fire towards the pengators, which scatter, with only one of them left in one piece, sliding towards her, who dodges with the greatest of ease, to the point where she manages to strike the creature in the back, thus clearing the way to open the next door.
(You're a lot of work, but this isn't the end, now I know how you act, you're clever, but not that clever, now just get on with it, let's see if you can really corner me).
When she opens the door, she is faced with a corridor where there are several Pengators and also some Hardhat Beetles, in the middle of a cliff on the sides where there are spears, this could be a nightmare for Kagari if she doesn't look at the wall, and she doesn't even have a way to support herself by the hook and avoid being hit by walking there to the other side of the corridor where there is a lever.
(Today I die apparently, I think I was pretty confident in myself thinking I was catching up with the queens, I still have a lot of wood to burn, look at this, the two worst monsters united, these things are worse than those skeletons).
The crimson-eyed woman took a deep breath and began to feel calmer, thinking about her wife so she wouldn't freak out, letting the calm go to her head, as if it were the old days, she began to skate, feeling that Diana was by her side guiding her.
Keeping calmer, she began to go forwards, the hardhat beetles were getting closer and she even switched to her staff, using the hook to push the monsters away, as she had remembered, while the penguins came closer, gliding with their mouths open.
(That's it, it's just thinking about Diana, remembering the old days, I always feel freer, lighter and looser with all this, it's always a pleasure to feel this marvellous sensation, come on Akko, keep gliding, you can do it, it's like the wind, soft as music).
When the Pengators got close, she surprised them by jumping high and throwing herself to one side, going closer to the cliff, but they didn't expect her to simply grab the hook, pinning it to the ground again and sliding back as if it were nothing, going in a diagonal direction, precisely one where the creatures have more difficulty, while the Hardhat Beetles were being pushed.
From one side to the other, like a zigzag, she made her way to the other side, the brown-haired one fooling herself that the penguins had no idea how to counterattack, which brought her closer to her goal, dodging as best she could.
(I'm succeeding, these things really think they can fool me, little do they know that I'm the queen at it, now I just have to pull the lever and make things warmer, I still have plenty of magic, I just don't want to spend it because there are monsters that deserve more).
Arriving at the lever, the warrior of Luna Nova pulls it, and with that she begins to use the staff in her hands, throwing a barrier of fire and then starting to sweep forwards, which hit all the creatures including the penguins that were there, none left alive, only the two hardhat beetles that have a hard shell that is practically immune to fire.
(That's all right, now the path is clear, just go back and get my reward, let's see if these penguins can withstand my fire, I knew I'd have to go back).
Hyllian made her way back, having some difficulty in the corridor of the pengators, since even though she knew how to pass through them, it was still a place full of traps, being hit a few times by the freezing rays, but she was able to make it back, using the elemental staff, simply the creatures were not able to cope with such strength that she had in her hands.
Akko returned to the room where everything was divided up, this time having practically everything in her hands. Arriving at the largest chest, she was already anxious to see what she had, but ended up getting very frustrated when she saw what she had, two bracelets, which she put on and soon saw simply a different colouring of pengators appearing.
(What the fuck are these bracelets, are they going to help at all? I don't know, but it feels like it's consuming me, the magic, and I also felt a tingling in my wrists, and now to top it off, a herd of penguins has appeared and there are several of them, you've got to be kidding me, anything but this lot of monsters, what? Everything's weird).
In a very strange way, one of the pengators who went for the shot, after Atsuko herself had a strange sensation with her body, ended up standing in the air, which she used the katana on the spot with the trigger, seeing only the trail of the cut in front of her, then moved and her own trail also appeared.
(Ahhhhh this is going to be a lot of fun, now not only do I have a greater power of magic in my hands, but I can also move fast, it even seems like time has stopped, but you can see this thing moving extremely slowly, I can feel the magic being consumed, but the place doesn't let it be spent, how cool, I can stay like this as long as I want, well let's go).
Kagari had a huge grin on her face, and with her sword she simply swept up the monsters that arrived from behind. There were 20 Pengators that appeared quite suddenly, but the girl herself simply swiped her sword at them all, giving them multiple cuts, making a real tour of the room, seeing the trail that displayed colours related to the robes she was wearing and also the sword and the triforce, being very varied, until she reached the point where she started, where she simply put the katana away and made the effect of the bracelets end.
In a fraction of a second, the various pengators simply disappeared and the sound of the wind cutting through the air followed, without a creature left alive. It was a moment when the crimson-eyed girl was simply frightened by the potential of it all.
(Woah, I just now have extremely high speed, I can make several slashes without anyone noticing and come out unscathed, if I had something like that against Andrew, I'd win easily, on the other hand it seems to use up a lot of magic, not for nothing, it's an extremely powerful attack, it's worth noting that it would cause enormous damage).
Excited and invigorated, the girl heals herself with a pot of fairies, completely restored to health, even more so because of the bite from the Pengator that caught her from behind. The brown-haired girl enters the middle door, a wide-open room with Blizzard Bats and some Pengators on either side, as well as jellyfish traps. The warrior from Luna Nova quickly gives a smile to test her new ability.
(Let's see how long my magic lasts and how much magic I can consume in this mode).
Her wrists glowed and activated, and she ran off making a few cuts, avoiding other monsters, but she only did this for a mere three seconds, immediately stopping to use the way to go faster, noticing that she had already consumed a huge amount of magic in such a short time, from what she could tell in her head it wouldn't last as long as she thought it might.
(Apparently all my magic would only let me use this thing for twelve seconds, I have to be clever when it comes to activating it, but you can already see that it's extremely useful, I've managed to avoid a lot of things and they haven't even realised I've passed yet, I'm loving it anyway, maybe I'll be strong enough to fight Andrew for longer, it gives me a huge chance of simply defeating him easily, I can speed everything up with one blow, or several and win, I'll stop distracting now, I have to get to the boss of this thing).
The monsters realised well afterwards that Hyllian had passed them and was heading for the door on the other side. They were taken by surprise and completely ignored, as she entered a room, where she came across a trap. As she decided not to use magic, she just showed a smile as if she were ready to go into combat, as multiple Pengators appeared alongside Zazaks there, as well as a cracked wall.
(I'd really like to use my new power several times, it's a wonderful feeling, it's all beautiful, but I have to save a lot, especially if I want to face the boss without getting into trouble, well let's go old school, I still know how to handle these things).
Akko is already showing that the confidence she's gained is helping her a lot, she slashes at the Zazaks before they can fire the freezing rays, then she slides diagonally to the terror of the pengators who get confused and can't hit her that way, so the girl takes a route that hits a dragon with a lunge, then she dodges the freezing ray using the upward hook that catches some pengators who are immune to freezing, which she switches to the elemental staff already looking at the ground.
(Let's make this fall hotter, you can have as much ice as you like, I can happily turn it all into a pile of fire).
She makes a point of hitting all the pengators with fire, killing them in the process, which leaves only three zazaks who have also been hit by the flames, but that doesn't affect them, but what does affect them is in Atsuko's hands, who already goes up with the blades, already propelling herself, she slashes at them, avoiding being hit and even stunning one of them who ends up being hit by a thrust, which she protects with the shield of the remaining two.
She goes back to the Katana and repels the freezing rays that hit both creatures, takes the hook in hand while they are still stunned by the ice itself and hits one with a slash, the last one even played around and went skating around until it gave her a well-timed slash that opened the door and even finished everything off by standing on tiptoe as if it were a skating dance.
(Ahhh how I love these ice dungeons, they can have some pretty annoying monsters, but at least I'm managing to just get out of this one better and better, I know I can beat Andrew, now I know, I'm getting incredibly strong, if I keep this up not even the power of his two triforces will be able to fight me).
Kagari happily goes to where the crack is and plants a bomb, which reveals a passageway, she goes in where she opens a chest with 100 Rupees, but also where there is a hole, where she carefully climbs down with the hook so she doesn't end up falling and hurting herself, but when she steps on the ground she notices that there is water and it's even a bit warmer, the light is familiar.
(A fountain of fairies, that's marvellous, I needed that to take a break, I was already short of fairies around here, that's what I'll need to defeat the boss from here, I don't know what awaits me, but I know it won't be easy from now on).
She began to heal herself, which was already whole, but these were no ordinary fairies, they were also replenishing the magic of the girl herself, who was feeling it all coming back, then she put it in the jars,
having acquired a new agility, she was able to fill the jars and the other fairies were strolling around the place, she sat on a rock where she took the opportunity to reflect and rest quickly, as well as drinking some water.
(This new power has given me an extra speed that I've never had before, my magic is very strong, could I have a chance of defeating Andrew now? He may be powerful, but now I have an extremely lethal blow in my hands, capable of ripping him to shreds, and if I don't remember he's already been hurt normally, so he might not be able to take it all, I'm sure, just get it right and I'll bring peace to Hyrule, get that tyrannical kingdom out of the way).
Reflexively, the crimson-eyed girl stood up, and with the new magic she had acquired, she climbed through the fairy hole, simply walking along the walls back to the dungeon, where she returned to the surface, right in the room where she had faced several creatures. Passing through the door that has opened up another new place in the dungeon, a corridor that leads to a door, all straight, full of all the monsters that have so far appeared in this stage of the dungeon.
(Look how much is ahead, luckily it's not a door that I need to kill all the monsters, do I try to go through normally or do I go to the other side with magic? I don't think so, I must be near the boss door)
The brown-haired woman takes a deep breath, faces the many Blizzard Bats, Pengators, Zazaks and Hardhat Beetles in that corridor where there are only monsters and starts to run around the place, the craituras are already starting to attack, she goes more for the strategy of ignoring, even using a lot of the shield to avoid being hit, pushing some of the monsters that were getting close, as well as using the Katana from time to time as soon as she noticed the imminent approach of the monsters.
The corridor was laborious, but by some miracle, with the help of her items, the warrior from Luna Nova remembered the hook, hung herself from the ceiling and slaughtered the blizzard bats that were nearby, not a single one was left alive, falling to the ground, raining ice stones on the monsters below that followed the girl's path, who, when facing the door, smiled, took her elemental staff in hand and began to fall like a flame. Cushioning her fall with the flames and the explosion that followed, a whole wave of fire swept through the corridor, killing the pengators and leaving only the Zazaks who were feeling the sting of Hyllian's swords and the Hardhat Beetles who were being pushed around by the projectile cuts, leaving not a living creature in the room no matter how hard she tried to ignore it.
(Whew, I guess I got to the other side by causing too much damage, I should have taken it easy, but it was either that or spend an extreme amount of magic, luckily elemental spells don't use much magic at all, I can do several of these falls using very little of my magic, now let's go Akko).
She passes through the door and is faced with an empty room, no monsters, only torches and a sign that ahead there will be the door where the boss goes, just because the shape of the lock is precisely where only the master key can enter, which Akko already takes a deep breath before entering the room, having almost all the magic filled, with full health, it would be easier to defeat the monsters in that situation.
(I've arrived, it's time to get cracking now, but I'm not sure it's going to be that easy, if the dungeon gives me an item that simply makes me extremely fast and practically invincible, then there you have it, it's not going to be easy to deal with a situation like this, at least around here, in any case I'm happy, I'm very powerful, I have such immense power that I had no idea it would come to this six years ago).
Atsuko is already preparing for the big battle against the boss of the dungeon, taking a look around the room before the boss, but there was nothing in it, just torches and a different decoration, since the ice had given way to the floor, as well as the ornate door showing that the boss would be a dragon, something she hadn't faced from a boss since the last dungeon of the Hangers of Courage.
Akko goes through yet another part of the dungeon of Louise Du Nord's temple, she acquires more skills, this time one that allows her with bracelets to reach an extremely high speed that allows her to pass through any corner with ease, dodging everything and everyone as if they were nothing, she really felt on top of the world, with each passage of the dungeon regaining the confidence she had at the beginning of the journey when she was still a teenager.
See you, cold witches
