The sun shines down on our hero as he sits against a tree. William is taking notes as he reads from a book on various countries. A gentle buzzing fills the air as bees lazily fly from the boy's body to the nearby flowers. William looks up at the sound of footsteps and sees a strange face. A face with one eye wrapped in bandages and a scar on the chin. The heavily bandaged man uses a cane to walk as he approaches william.
"William aburame?" the man asks in a calm tone.
"Yes. Who are you?" William replies. The bees float around him and buzz a bit louder.
"My name is danzo Shimura and I just noticed you were sitting in the middle of all of those bees. Are you okay?" danzo is standing about four feet away but looks ready to try and help the younger male if needed.
"I'm quite fine. They are my hive. They are not bees. Not fully. I crossbred my beetles with honey bees and then crossbred them with other types of bees. This allows me to have a better control of flight for my hive and allows them greater attack capabilities.'' William explains.
Danzo's one eye goes wide and he looks at the boy closer. Long clothing covers his body and the second year academy student is the same as when he started the academy except for one addition. A gourd is sitting on the ground next to him and bees are milling around the entrance as others fly in and out of the gourd. Danzo leans closer and notices that the bees seem split between entering the gourd and entering the boy with a book.
Danzo approaches and looks at the notes. They seem to be on the pros and cons of various countries in the context of strength. Danzo notices that the most pros are on the side of the sand village.
"William. Why are you writing so many good things about suna? Shouldn't you be writing about the leaf? We are the strongest village after all." danzo asks as he sits next to william.
"I am writing so many good things for suna because they are the most resilient. The leaf is strong from our ninja force being the most powerful. I agree with that. However, The village hidden in the sand is more impressive in my opinion due to the fact that they are in the middle of the desert and thus have less resources than us in terms of food or water. Despite this lack of resources, the hidden sand village is able to stay strong enough that they are considered one of the five great villages. This shows more strength in my opinion. After all, Who is stronger? A kage level ninja from the uchiha clan? Or a kage level ninja from the orphanage?" William states in a calm steady voice.
Danzo ponders this before he realizes that the child is correct. Konoha is strong but the strength is much easier to acquire so it is a lesser quality. Suna has to fight for every scrap of strength they get and thus they get a higher quality of strength. The buzzing increases in volume and both men turn to look at a young man approaching. His long orange hair is in messy spikes and his blue eyes sparkle as he walks over to the pair.
"What's up bug boy!?" the man cries with a smirk.
"Sam. i have told you multiple times that my name is william.'' William drones.
"Whos the old fucker?" sam questions as he plops down next to william.
"This is danzo shimura." is william's reply.
Sam grunts a greeting and looks at what William is working on. Danzo examines Sam as this happens. Sam is lean and toned with long vibrant orange hair. His hands are slightly red and look burned. He is panting lightly and burns mark up the long pants on his legs. William calmly reaches into a satchel bag on his hip and hands a jar of yellow material to Sam with a spoon. Sam grins and starts eating the yellow material which is revealed to be honey. The burns fade and Sam breathes easier after a few bites. He hands the jar back and wipes off the spoon before handing it back as well. Danzo narrows his eye.
"What was in that honey?" danzo asks.
"Honey is made by regurgitating nectar into a wax container then allowing it to ferment in the wax until it becomes honey. My bees feed on chakra as well and this has caused the honey they produce to gain a few properties. The honey restores chakra to the eater, the honey also acts as a minor medical jutsu upon consumption." William explains before handing the jar to danzo.
Danzo opens the jar and smells the honey. Sweeter than normal honey and a bit more earthy in scent as well. Interesting. Danzo closes the jar before returning it to william. The older man is surprised to see an anbu member arrive in a shunshin with leaves floating around them. The anbu kneels to danzo before speaking.
"Lord danzo. I apologize for the interruption but I need the aburame you are speaking with." the anbu states.
"What do you need him for?" danzo asks as his mind whirls. What could this man need an academy student for that an elder of the village couldnt help with?
"Young aburame. There is an insect hive causing problems to the nearby market and we need your help to deal with it." the anbu states before walking towards william.
William marks his page as bugs flow back into his body. The boy stands and secures the gourd to his back before placing his books in the satchel on his hip. William nods to the anbu and is grabbed by the shoulder. The world seems to fold as a shunshin is used.
Shunshin is a speed technique that is used by releasing a burst of chakra from your feet. This grants you a burst of speed that makes it seem like you have teleported. This takes more chakra equivalent to the distance traveled. While most jonin level ninja can cross a village with it and not be tired by this usage of chakra. Anyone below chunin level will be exhausted from the large distance and thus large quantity of chakra used.
The pair appear in a swirl of leaves and William looks around before spotting the hive. A large oval structure is hanging from a wall and large masses of insects are flying around it. William releases his bees and the bugs fly over to commune with the strange insects. A few moments pass before they return to william and he faces the anbu.
"The hive is from a feral kikaichu queen. She has recently awoken and was not caught in time for my clan to put her in a safe room. She is lashing out at anyone with above genin level reserves or people that come within twenty feet of her hive. She is scared. Please wait here." William states before calmly walking towards the hive.
The clouds of insects part to allow the boy access to the hive. The insects close around him and the ninja wait tense as they hear a much louder buzzing before they see William walk back out. He approaches the anbu.
"I have spoken with the queen. She has agreed to let us move her hive to my clan's compound. She wishes for us to be very careful with the hive however. She has a large amount of young inside and if we move too fast or rough then we could hurt them. I need either two people who don't mind bugs on them. Or an akimichi with the same quality." William reports.
The anbu nods and calls for volunteers. A few minutes pass before a heavyset man walks to the heavily clad boy and he smiles.
The large man has long red hair and swirls on his cheeks. He is wearing red armor with the kanji for food printed on it. He has a jovial air to him and seems always ready to smile.
The large man follows the boy into the cloud of insects. The insects part before it is revealed that the large man is holding the hive in a pair of hands that have grown large enough to easily wrap around the beach ball sized hive. The large man is being led by william and they walk towards the aburame compound.
The walk is quiet and they quickly reach the compound. The large man is led to a grove of trees and he holds the hive against a tree before the beatles flow out and get to work. The man is told to let go before he steps back. The hive hangs from the tree and the man walks towards the front of the house.
"Hey shibi! Is this your kid?!" the large man cries out jovially.
"No choza. This is william. He is my nephew." shibi replies calmly.
"Oh? Coulda fooled me! You guys need some sun or something! Cant see you under those big coats." Choza replies with a hearty laugh.
William departs as the adults speak. He returns to his tree in the park before he resumes his studies.
