Hello hello! This is the 5th installment in the Dimensions series - the series that started my whole journey into sharing my fanfiction works here with all of you. Several years ago, I thought it was time to put it on the shelf, and I did. Then, a few months before the 60th anniversary specials, a reunion story began turning around in my head, and once I saw the specials the whole story clicked into place. Please enjoy these ongoing adventures of my favorite little family to write for. -Orchids117

POV: Jenny

My hearts were pounding against my ribs, my breathing was labored, and my feet heavily pushed down against pavement as I deftly ran through the marketplace on Kijxal. Normally, it would be adrenaline fueled by adventure that would propel me forward, but today I felt nothing but fear.
The impossible had happened. The Time Lords had found us.
We had been on the run for months, Mara and I. Thankfully it was only us they'd detected, each of us being at least half Time Lord and all, and we'd run too fast for them to find anyone else. Not that they would think to look for any descendants with traces of Time Lord or Quo DNA; they were far too snobbish for that. It was the one blessing we had received in all this mess—neither of us could have taken it if they had found the family we still had on Earth.
My mind briefly flashed with Claire's face, and I pushed myself to run even faster. If they did capture us, it would only be a matter of time before they found her, and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if the Time Lords got their hands on the only grandchild who would speak to me.
Since detecting us, they'd chased us across moons and planets—through time, and now, across dimensions. When we'd been forced to leave our TARDIS behind after they had captured her on Thulara III, we had thought there would be no hope for us. Thankfully, we're Tylers. It hadn't taken much, really, to figure out how to modify our Vortex Manipulators once we put our minds to it, and soon enough we were running through dimensions as well as across the stars.
The one problem? Hopping dimensions took a lot of power.
"Come on!" I shouted. "It's nearly charged!"
I willed Mara to keep up as I ducked away from their blaster fire down the next alley. I glanced at my wrist and let out a growl of frustration. The modified Vortex Manipulator was only at 85% charge. It would need a full charge for our next jump.
"I'm going as fast as I can!" Mara shouted back.
Behind me, I heard another round of blaster fire and then a grunt. I nearly cried out when I felt Mara's pain rip through me and turned just in time to see her fall. "No!" I screamed as I stumbled back to catch her.
"Go on," she choked out.
"It's over now, Tylers!"
I flinched against the echoing boom of general Hass' voice, and yanked Mara to her feet to drag her forward. "Come on, little sis. I have a promise to keep."
She groaned but kept up as I hobbled us around another corner, only to feel dread stop me cold at the sight of a dead end.
"Come on, Jenny!" Hass' voice boomed yet again. "Nowhere to run now."
I looked at Mara, whose eyes were filled with the same dread I felt in my hearts. "Plan?" she asked through our telepathic connection.
I swallowed and looked around wildly. We had maybe 30 seconds before the Time Lords would have us. I could see no way out, and panic shot through my veins. I was going to fail to keep my promise.
My eyes shot to my wrist when I heard a beep and I let out a hysterical laugh. The Vortex Manipulator flashed a fully charged sign. I shifted Mara to regain use of my other hand, and quickly inputted the needed information.
"Tyler!"
I glanced over my shoulder and grinned into the beady eyes of general Hass. "Allons-y!"
