"I can't believe it's finally over…" A blonde woman said as she looked at a table, she's fixing some last details for tonight's dinner with two friends of hers, she's wearing a tight strapless red dress and red high heels that were too sexy for a normal night.
Tonight was an important night, some special people were visiting her in her new apartment, she had to leave her old house not only because she divorced her husband, but due to law, she's not allowed to be in her son's new prison outside of the weekends.
Yes, her son, he was sentenced to be on home arrest for a year, and at least here in the magical world, only the prisoner and the Aurors in charge of keeping the prisoner in check are allowed to be with him not family nor friends except on special days, it's kind of an extreme punishment but at the same time it makes people think twice before committing crimes because at the end of the day not only affects them but also the people that surround them.
But even without her son in home arrest, in the end, Narcissa would have to leave that house due to the divorce she started, and even though the reason for her leaving her husband was logical, magical courts always seem to be on the side of the person's who's being abandoned not the one who started the divorce.
However, in the end, things worked up for Narcissa, she managed to get a nice size of her ex-husband's family fortune before it was confiscated by the state, and with that, she managed to get a nice and humble apartment in Diagon Alley, it's not in the most luxurious in the area but it's not in the low-class zone, so, in the end, things didn't get too bad for her and her son.
Her life suddenly took a sudden turn when her husband's obsession with power and greed forced them to join the forces of Lord Voldemort, the strongest wizard in almost a century or at least he was until he was defeated by a mere eighteen-year-old man named Harry Potter.
She can't help but blush as she thinks about the hero of the wizarding world, not only because thanks to his testimony she avoided going to Azkaban as she was accused of "conspiracy in the aid of a terrorist organization" even though she was forced to do it by her husband, in magical marriages the vows are taken seriously, not by conviction but by force because if there's no balance in the relationship, one side can get too powerful and destroy the other magically speaking that's the bond you accept when you get married, that's why marriage is a serious thing in the wizarding world.
She knows she got the best deal out of her family for lying to Voldemort about Harry's supposed death, she made a bet that day after Harry Potter was hit with a killing curse and somehow he ended up surviving, she had to lie about his living status, and in the end, that bet paid itself even if the people close to her faced some consequences.
Her son, the poor thing was supposed to get at least twenty years in Azkaban, but thanks to Harry speaking on his behalf because the hero saw that her son was nothing but a puppet, someone who has always lived in his father's shadow and someone unable to make his own choices, due to his weakness rebelling would have been a death sentence because a small hint of treason and Voldemort could have disposed the Malfoy family it doesn't matter that her older sister was Voldemort's second in command, she wasn't going to speak on their behalf, that's a sad reality.
Luckily, the juries made things different and took account of all the circumstances, and with that, her son ended up getting a three-year sentence of home arrest, he's not allowed to interact with the exterior world, he's practically secluded and she can only see him on Saturdays and Sundays for a few hours on each day, it makes her feel sad, but at the same time she's happy he's safe at home and not suffering in Azkaban, she's hoping this will give him time to reflect about his life and maybe find his own path so he wouldn't end like his father.
Speaking about his father, Lucius Malfoy her ex-husband, a leech, a coward, and a prick, she always knew he was all those things, however, when she realized that it was already too late as Draco was already in this world it was too late for her to leave, still, she thought that despite the man being so pathetic sometimes, he was harmless, a self-programed loose cannon acting just like most young people act around that age.
It was a shocking moment when in his mid-forties, he told her with pride that their lord was back and that he was going to become a death eater once again, it was a logical choice due to the power that wizard possessed, however, the thing here is that her husband was happy and it seems like after being scolded by his master he was more than eager to follow him once again without taking in account the fear his family felt at the time.
But she knew there was a breaking point for him and she knew that because she saw her former husband lose his motivation little by little, not even the fact that he was doing what he always wanted to do which was torturing and killing muggles, not even that brought him happiness, he knew he fucked up and when he did realized that, it was too late for their whole family to run away and hide just like other families did.
Due to his complete involvement from the start, Lucius was going to be sentenced to the dementor's kiss, but surprisingly, Harry didn't want him to go too easily, Harry knew that Lucius was a pathetic excuse of a man who deserved to suffer for the rest of his life, and that was granted by the jury, Lucius was sentenced to a life in Azkaban without possibility of parole, he's stuck there, so, unless there's some heist or someone plans an escape, he's not leaving that place.
She's not going to lie, she felt bad for him but he deserved that for putting the whole family at risk, he betrayed the ones whom he was supposed to protect, the last time she saw him there was no sight of the man she thought she loved at the start of their marriage and the one who was a little pathetic but harmless at the same time like a barking dog, that image was completely gone and it was replaced by someone who looked to be dead inside, there was no trace of a soul inside him no trace or life nor anything similar, he was practically just a vessel without a soul.
Narcissa was still thinking about the events that led to this day and suddenly, she heard someone knocking on her door, her face suddenly lit up, and she smiled and fixed her long curly blonde hair in a mirror that was close to the door that she opened a few moments later.
"Hermione… Harry!" She said with a smile on her face as she saw two young adults.
There it was the hero of the wizarding world, with his dark hair and green eyes, he was wearing a nice and fit body hugged by a black suit, it didn't take too long before he kissed one of her cheeks, she did the same with one of his own.
And beside him, a slim yet attractive curly brown-haired was smiling at her, she's wearing tight blue jeans, a tight white blouse, and black heels, it didn't take too long before Hermione kissed one of her cheeks too.
She still finds it hard to believe that these two young people who were supposed to hate her and she was supposed to hate according to her parents' upbringing became her closest friends the past year since the war ended.
What surprised her the most was the fact that they even stopped speaking with their former friends the Weasleys who were too hurt by the death of one of their members, and they were blaming everyone who was involved in the war even if they were forced to do it.
Harry was the first one who was kicked out of their circle, Hermione followed him soon as she tried to understand why Harry was so immersed in helping Narcissa, at the end of the day Hermione understood Harry's reasoning and she even offered herself to help Narcissa's lawyer with her advanced knowledge of magical laws, and with the trials, they became closer and closer, something that made the older woman feel guilty because her older sister did something horrible to the young witch.
"Please come in!" Narcissa encouraged them and they did as they were told, little by little, Harry and Hermione got inside her new apartment, they've been in this place a few times in the past but it was still nice to visit their friend especially if there was a chance for them to see each not only Narcissa but also each other, it didn't take too long before they reached the table.
"Wow… This seems fancy!" Harry said with a surprised expression.
"I'm glad you liked… Hermione you'd be happy to know that everything in this dinner was done by me, no domestic elf helped with this special dinner that I made in your honor for helping throughout this past year," Narcissa bowed to them and they smiled at her.
"Really? You even prepared the food? I thought you hated cooking!" Hermione was surprised but happy at the same time.
It was hard for a pureblood to forget about traditions, especially the ones that benefit them the most like having domestic elves, but it made Hermione feel happy that her friend was considerate enough to change a little bit for her.
"I find myself with more free time lately and also, I needed to get used to it, Draco seemed to love the pie I made for him the last time I visited him," She said with a weak smile and they nodded at her.
"I know you did your best Cissa but it was not necessary, trust me, If we helped you was because we thought it would be unfair for someone like you to end up paying for someone else's mistakes," Harry clarified and she smiled at him.
"Harry's right, you didn't have to… However, I'm kind of excited to see and taste your food," Hermione blushed and looked away as she said this.
Narcissa couldn't help but giggle, she was happy to hear those words.
"Well, if you're that excited then let's get on to it, I'll just finish the last details," Narcissa was on her way to the kitchen but she was stopped by something.
"Do you need some help?" Harry and Hermione asked at the same time before they looked at each other, they suddenly blushed embarrassed.
"Well… Mione, why don't you help me bring the plates, and Harry, why don't you get an aged wine bottle from my reserve? Please bring an expensive one, you know which one I'm talking about, right?" Narcissa looked at Harry and Hermione and they nodded.
Harry went to another room to search for the bottles while Narcissa and Hermione were in the kitchen.
"So… Let's get these—" Narcissa couldn't finish before she was kissed by Hermione who didn't hesitate to slam her lips against the older woman's ones.
It seems like they completely forgot about the dishes to just focus on sharing an intense kiss, the two of them were in the same state and Hermione didn't hesitate on grabbing the older woman's ass, and considering she did this, it was clear that she is the one that takes the lead here.
A few moments later in the wine room…
"Fuck… There's a lot, I guess I should better pick a French one just to be safe," Harry giggled before he heard a voice.
"Did you find it, Harry?" Asked Narcissa with a smile on her face, Harry took the bottle and walked towards her.
"Of course, I found it but… Don't you think I deserve a reward for this?" Harry asked as he placed one hand on one of her hips while he carried the bottle with the other hand.
Narcissa couldn't help but smirk and she knew what was coming, Harry didn't waste time and kissed her without thinking twice, and the older woman accepted the kiss and it didn't take too long before she hugged his neck.
This was Cissa's gratitude, Harry and Hermione were receiving equal amounts of it, but the night is still young…
