Chapter 15
Inuyasha walks back outside and sits on the couch that he and Kagome were on. He calls his brother.
"Inuyasha. I assume you received the text." Sesshomaru teased him over the phone.
"Cut the crap, Sesshomaru. I've had a rough day as it is." Inuyasha spoke back in irritation.
"Rin told me what happened at the hospital." Sesshomaru said coldly to him. It doesn't surprise Inuyasha though.
"She caught the footage from the camera of the hospital's security system. As such as Kagome's body cam that she wore without realizing it." Sesshomaru explains to his brother. All Inuyasha does is sigh.
"Look, Sesshomaru, If you want to lecture me, fine. But don't take it out on Kagome. She had to protect Moroha from Mikoho. We figured out that she messed up with our blood results as well as drugging her which caused Moroha to cough blood. Do you have any fucking idea how this affected me when she called me earlier." Inuyasha defended hotly.
"I was pretty sure it was predictable for her to do something so reckless." Sesshomaru comments to him with a smirk even though they're on the phone.
"As such, she decided to call it quits. The moment she protected Moroha brought out her instincts to do so at all costs." Inuyasha reasons back to him in a matter-of-fact tone.
"That cannot be done, Inuyasha. She signed a contracted and she cannot abandon her duties as an agent." Sesshomaru disagree on Inuyasha's terms.
"Well too fucking bad Sesshomaru. We almost lost my daughter because she was a victim by someone who might've had a connection to the terrorist attack. I will no. And I repeat, will not put my daughter in jeopardy!" He shouts in the end in seriousness.
"Hate to break it to you, little brother. But it can happen before it's too late. So if I were you, I'd let Kagome know that she's under contract, gets back to her mission and forget that this incident ever happened." Sesshomaru strongly suggests before hanging up.
All Inuyasha does is growl in frustration. Today was too much for him and Kagome. Especially for Moroha. It took a few years until Kagome found out that she was finally pregnant and wanted to make sure that Moroha had a long healthy life.
The next morning, Moroha moans as she is waking up to the sunlight beaming into her window. She can even hear a few birds chirping in the distance, tell her that it's time to wake up. Taking her time to get her tiny feet onto the floor, Moroha takes it easy to get to the kitchen to get some breakfast. She rubs her eyes to see her father making coffee.
"Morning, daddy." Moroha greets him. Inuyasha turns to see her in pink pajamas and her hair is down.
"Morning, kiddo." Inuyasha smiles as he picks her up into his arms and places her onto one of the bar stools. "What is my little princess hungry for this morning?" Inuyasha kissed her temple.
"Ramen!" Moroha raises her hands happily.
"We all know that's not going to happen on my watch." Kagome enters the kitchen with her arms crossed. Moroha can see that her mom is in her work clothes while her father is in casual clothes. "Are you two supposed to be at work?" Moroha asks her parents with her head tilt.
Kagome giggles at it. "No sweetie. Daddy is going to be here all day while your mommy has to take care of work."
Moroha blinks her chocolate brown eyes a few times. "But what about the bad lady you managed to take down? Is she gone?"
Kagome couldn't help but smile and takes a hold of her daughter's shoulder in a supportive way. "Listen, Moroha. When that lady entered the room, you immediately knew who she was and what she did to you. As such I had to protect you from her because I didn't want you to suffer anymore."
"Does that mean that I actually helped you?" Moroha asks her mother.
"Indeed, you did. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to get that mean lady arrested. Besides your father taught me a few moves that were handy."
That made Moroha shed tears with happiness. "I'm such a good little helper."
"Not just good, Moroha. You were a great help to your mother." Inuyasha comes in and nuzzles her affectionately.
"As such I think it'd been a good idea for your father to teach you the moves that I used to take down the lady." Kagome gives her idea to her. "You're a strong little girl and I think it's time that you need to defend yourself."
"But I have you, Grammy, Uncle Sesshy, and the rest of the family." Moroha points out the obviously.
Inuyasha and Kagome laugh at how cute their daughter is when she points out something that they already know.
"That's true. But there'll be a time that you need to rely on yourself to protect yourself, as well as your friends and family." Inuyasha advices to her.
"Anyway, I'm off to work. I'll be home before you know it." Kagome kisses Moroha's head and gives Inuyasha a chaste kiss and leaves the house.
Later that day, Inuyasha and Moroha enter a room in the house. Moroha stays close to her father, grabbing his pants leg. "Where are we, daddy?" Even though Moroha has been at the house so many times, there were a few spots that she isn't allowed to go into. And this room is one of them.
"This here is my training room." Inuyasha said to her. Moroha looks around and sees a few rows of dumbbells, and other exercise equipment at the far end of the long room. She even spots the blue mat on the floor. "So, which one of those are we going to do?" Moroha points at the stuff.
Inuyasha smirks at her innocence. "We're not using any of them. We're going to learn this."
Moroha looks up to see a big punching bag lowering down towards them. "It's so big!" She turns to see her father taking off his hoodie and sweatpants to see that he's wearing something she has never seen before.
"What are you wearing, Daddy?" Moroha asks Inuyasha as he pulls his hair back into a high ponytail with a hair tie.
"These are martial art clothes." Inuyasha said to her as he bends to her and pulls out a similar outfit for her. "Make sure you have your hair up as well." Moroha is fascinated by and needed to get into the outfit with her father's help. Inuyasha even puts a little bow in her hair tie after pulling it up.
"Does it have to do with kicking and punching?" Moroha asks him. Inuyasha shakes his head. "Nope. Those two are useful, but they're not the only ones you should use all the time. For now we're going to some stretching."
Inuyasha sits down on the mat with Moroha across from him. From different stretching moves to improve their flexibility.
"Ok, so what's the first we're going to do?" Moroha jumps up and down with glee.
"First off, we're going to test your strength. This thing will tell your level." Inuyasha takes her to the punching bag. He gets into position and hits the punchbag with his fist. The punching bag stood strong.
"Whoo. I guess I need to step up on my game." Inuyasha comments to her. "Ready." He looks down to Moroha. Moroha nods with a smile.
"Now, remember what I did before I punched it." Inuyasha instructs the girl. Moroha closes her eyes and screams as she punched the bag as hard as she could.
One punch and the bag gave a swing back and forth. "Wow. I did that?" Moroha is surprised to see how strong her one punch is.
Inuyasha laughs, "Yeah. Not bad for your first try. This bag was created by demons to help those to get better at their skills." He said as he gets to her level. "Really?" Moroha asks him quickly.
"Yep. Even your uncle and old man used this as well. I have this one, while Sesshomaru has one for his family. I bet he teaches the twins the same thing I'm teaching you." Inuyasha smiles at her first and then to the bag.
Kagome gets out of the car and is parked next to Sesshomaru's car at the school parking lot. 'Oh no.' She moans in her head.
"Kagome, it's just me." Rin gets out of his husband's car. "Oh, I didn't know you'd be here. How's Moroha doing?" Kagome smiles a little.
"She's doing ok. The doctor gave her a prescription to increase her healing after the ordeal at the hospital. I bet Sesshomaru isn't too thrilled about what I did." Kagome said to Rin as they enter the school.
"Afraid so. But he only wanted to talk to Inuyasha about it. Not me." Kagome points out.
"Yeah about that. Sesshomaru is too much of a coward to face a mother who was only protecting her child." Rin snickers at the end.
"Rin. I bet you're like whenever the twins are in danger." Kagome inquires bluntly.
Rin grins. "Oh believe me. I may be a human, but I know a thing or two to put him in his place if he pisses me off."
"Ms. Hoji." The principal calls from the office. Rin turns to her attention. "Yes?" Before the principal could speak, he sees Kagome with Rin. "Oh Mrs. Aino. I didn't see you coming in."
Kagome gives a business look. "Mr. Tsumaki." She bows.
"But if you're here, doesn't that mean that Ms. Hoji shouldn't have to be here as well." Mr Tsumaki asks them
Rin mentally growls at how dumb this principal is. "No, I'm here to take over Tikishima. I just got the word that he's not going to be able to attend, so I'm filling in for him. As for Mrs. Aino she is here to resume her session. I gave her the update on the class."
Mr. Tsumaki gets it. "Ok. I just wanted to apologize to the other how I approached your method of teaching in the class. It was uncalled for."
"Apology accepted." Rin excuses herself with Kagome behind. They turn to the corner of the hallway.
"What was that all about?" Kagome questions curiously.
"All I taught in science was the different types of blood that the human body has. Since you were so focused on your own to do a blood transfusion for Moroha, I thought it'd be a good idea to get the student a head start on it." She explains to her.
Kagome nods. "Interesting. You're pretty good as it is. I think Inuyasha's topic shouldn't be a big deal."
Rin widens her grin. "Oh, don't you worry about a thing. I know when it comes to history. She pulls out her glasses, "These will give Sesshomaru the vision while he gives me the info through my earpiece." Kagome shakes her head. "You know your stuff."
