Chapter 17
Riku casually roams around the university. He has to follow a person named Sentaro. So far he got a picture of his sent from Sesshomaru by the time he arrived at the destination. "Ok, so Sentaro is…" Riku mutters as he walks until he hears someone else saying.
"Yo. Sentaro over here!" One of the students called out to him. Riku turns to see his target is going to join in with a group of friends under a tree. Riku smiles and decides to sit on a bench closest to the group with a mini camera and a microphone facing towards them so that he can gather some information.
"So, how's your sister?" One of the students asks him randomly.
"You know, the usual." Sentaro replies before taking a drink from his water bottle.
"But isn't she supposed to be silent ever since that day?" Another student asks him adamantly. Sentaro just glared. "Look, if Saki doesn't tell anyone about the attack, she can still be under my custody."
'So Sentaro and Saki are brother and sister.' Riku scribbles the details so far.
"But she also witnessed the crime. Right in front of her." The other student reminds him. Sentaro stood. "Look, what happened, happened. There's nothing else to make her suffer anymore." He leaves the group. Riku is about to follow until someone spoke about him.
"Seriously. Does he really have to be that aggressive?" the one student asks the other. "Maybe. After all he had to protect her at all cost. Let me try to call him." The other student pressed the name on the screen and hopes that Sentaro answers. "No good." The student frowns and puts his phone into his jacket pocket.
Riku believes what he just heard might be vital to this case. He gathers his stuff and hopes to find Sentaro quickly before he loses the target. He then sees Sentaro entering a classroom in one of the buildings. He looks to see a label. 'Medical dummies.' He peeks through the window of the door to see Sentaro in a lab coat as well as another individual with him.
"So. Sentaro. Have you kept your end of the deal?" A female voice asks him.
Sentaro sighs. "I have Dr. Jurino. If I take your accused, I keep Saki safe from them."
Riku didn't expect it to happen. 'So, Dr. Jurino works here.
"As far as I know, Mihoko was arrested the other day at my hospital. It's too bad that she wasn't able to get enough information on the child Moroha." Dr. Jurino frowns at the last part.
"Who was she to anyway?" Sentaro asks as he resumes his assignment of the human dummy.
"She was my apprentice. I could tell that she had potential to become a great doctor, like me. A pediatrician. However, ever since her son died, she has become unstable and wasn't able to focus on her work."
Sentaro looks up to her. "What did her son die from?" He asks her curiously.
"Leukemia. She was single mother when her son was born because the father didn't want to be part of the issue." Dr. Jurino responds with bitterness in her voice.
Riku believes he might have found more information than he first thought. "And what about the whole 'The Purifier'?" Sentaro spoke.
"That Sentaro is just a character I made up. I just do the usual stuff to make sure the people feel him, or in this case, me. As you should be too. And your sister." Sentaro nods and resumes his research.
Riku goes back to his car. "Master. Do you read?" He speaks into his phone. "Loud and clear. What were you able to find?" Sesshomaru responds to him. "It appears that Sentaro is Saki's older brother. She's been held hostage by him as a way to protect her from Dr. Jurino." Riku gives his report.
"We still don't know how or why Saki got the black eye in the first place." Rin said to him this time. Riku holds his chin. "I think that whatever Saki told you or Kagome that Sentaro struck her." He assumes to him. "Anyway, you've finished your task. Please return to our house so we can solve this case. And make sure that Inuyasha and Kagome are notified as well." Sesshomaru gives his orders. "Yes sir." Riku said as he begins his car and drives off to Inuyasha's house.
Back at Inuyasha's house, Moroha watches in amazement to see how her parents spare again with each other. From martial art cries to grunts, as well as particular moves that were presented. "Now, Moroha, you must remember what I taught you." Kagome said to her as she has Inuyasha down to his knees.
"Sing. Mommy." Moroha smiles. Kagome nods. "Correct, and you do know what each letter in the word sing means. Right?" Moroha smiles and walks to a dummy that she was using.
"S is Solar plexus, I is the Instep, N is the Nose, and G is the Groin." Moroha did all the spots of the human for which letter goes to. She did the Solar plexus, as in the gut. Instep, stepping hard onto the dummy's foot, and palm punches the nose and punches the dummy groin hard. Kagome chuckles. "And you should know I always use that on daddy." She side smiles to see Inuyasha getting back onto his feet.
"Yeah, yeah. I have my own move to have you down on your knees." Inuyasha said confidently. Kagome scoffs. "Oh please. No matter how hard you try, you never beaten me." Inuyasha chuckles. "Oh Kagome, apparently forgotten all about it." He cracks his knuckles to prove his point.
"What is daddy going to do, Mommy?" Moroha asks Kagome. Kagome looks baffles, "Beats me, sweetie. I don't really know. What I need to do is watch how he does it." Kagome answers as she walks up to him.
Before Kagome could make a step, with such lightning speed, Inuyasha uses a tai chi stunt and has her down to the floor on her back. Moroha widens her eyes because she was able to see how Inuyasha did that so fast.
'He got behind her, swept his own arm behind her knees, have her mid air and then swiftly, tapped her at the back of the neck, have her in his arms and lays her onto the floor.' Moroha thought to herself to recap how the move went.
"And that there, Moroha is what I call the good night." Inuyasha said to her as he sat next to Kagome. "She's sleeping right?" Moroha asks him worriedly. Inuyasha nods. "Don't worry, kiddo. She'll be awake in a few seconds with this." He taps the spot where he knocked Kagome out.
"What happened to me?" Kagome asks as she comes to. "Mommy." Moroha hugs her tightly. Kagome returns her hug. "I think we've done enough sweetie." She said as she picks her up and head upstairs with Inuyasha behind them.
As soon as they changed into a regular pair of clothes after training in the basement, Moroha is in a pink pair of overalls, with a violet bow in her hair and a teal short sleeve shirt. Kagome in a pair of faded blue jeans, green flannel checkered shirt, and a white shirt under it. Inuyasha is in his casual blue jeans with a red hoodie on over his tan shirt.
"Mom. Someone's at the door." Moroha. said shyly as she hugs Kagome's neck as soon as the doorbell rang. Inuyasha goes to the door to see it's Riku. "Oh Riku. What brings you hear?" Inuyasha said as he sees the visitor with a stern look.
"I've been told by your brother that he needs you and Kagome at his house immediately." Riku said to him seriously. "And Moroha can come too." He smiles nicely to the little girl.
"We get to go to Uncle Fluffy's house?" Moroha beams with a smile. Kagome nods. "Yep and you can play with your cousins too." Kagome heads to the kitchen to grab her stuff along with Moroha's belongings. Inuyasha grabs his messenger bag with his information from today's task.
It doesn't take them that long for Riku to retrieve Inuyasha and his family to get to Sesshomaru's house. As soon as the cars parked into the driveway, Moroha hops out of the back seat and runs to the front door and presses the doorbell.
The door opens to reveal Towa answering. "Moroha? What's up." She smiles and hugs her cousin. Riku wanted Mommy and Daddy and I to see Uncle Fluffy." Moroha explains the visit. Towa looks over Moroha's shoulder to spot Riku coming up the pathway with Inuyasha and Kagome behind him.
"Please come in. Sestuna and I are trying out some new moves." Towa smiles as she welcomes the relatives. "Moroha, why don't you play with Towa and Sestuna while your dad and I do big people stuff." Rin kneels down to her level. Moroha and Towa run off to where Sestuna is in the house.
"So you got what we needed?" Rin asks Riku in a more mature tone. "Yes. I've found some information that can help us with this case." Riku nods as they all go to the assigned room where Sesshomaru is waiting for them.
