Ch2 - The gifted powers!

Zalex's POV:

RIIIIIIIIING! The school bell rang, as it was the sign of lunch ending.. So, me and my said our farewells back to our classes..

"Music class.. Now where will you be at?" I quietly mumble to myself trying to figure out where the classroom was..

"Looking for the Music room, dear young one?" I jumped at the sound of a older yet, soft voice of a man as I turned around to see, that it was indeed a man.. But the most strangest thing was that they had pure white hair along with a black beard, green scleras and red eyes, white clothing that reminds me of how priests would dress up in.. Though, I've noticed a few gold pieces on their shoes, and maybe on his gloves too? In fact, everyone around me seemed to be frozen.. Did this man stop time or something!?

"Who are you..?" I calmly said to the man, as he looks on at me..

"Only time will tell, young Zalex.. I wish to give you a gift."

As soon, the man said that, I felt him grabbing a hold of my right arm.. I was about to protest of what he was doing when my arm started to feel pain, like something was entering into it.. I could only scream in pain with closing my eyes, little did I know that a strange green leaf symbol was showing up on the back of my right hand's palm.. The man finally let go of my arm, as I fell to my knees holding it.. As for the man, he was fading away with a golden light, with a few lasting words to me.

"Protect this world of yours, young Zalex.. For you are it's final hope." And with that, the man finally disappeared, along with the pain in my arm going away.. I finally open up my eyes to see him gone, before I looked at my watch to see that I was gonna be late for class!

"Oh sh!" I quickly cursed to myself as I started to run in a hurry.. After a few minutes learning music, I was finally on my way, to my martial arts lesson.. Turns out, our lessons are outside as usual, I can see Lucy in her martial art outfit among the other students..

"Oi, Zalex! Over here!" Lucy called out to me, as I walk on over to her..

"Hope you're ready to lose.."

"I wouldn't dream on it, sweet heart." I know Lucy will one day, find a way to beat me but I'm still worried about that strange man.. Just what the heck did HE do to me.. As our teacher was pairing other students one by one, they would start by either training together or compete against each other.. Sadly enough, me and Lucy were once competing against each other again, by karate chopping a brick in half.. We were given two bricks each to break, and whoever gets the best record wins.. "3... 2... 1. Go!"

"HI-YAH!" Both me and Lucy screamed while swinging our hands down onto the bricks, when my right hand glowed as two tree roots came out of the ground around me.. Glad the white Khao Manee wasn't close to me otherwise, I wouldn't hear the end of it from her family..

"What the!"

"Woah woah woah!

The roots quickly stop like as they came out of the ground, and seeing how everyone were still as a rock looking at the giant roots, I quickly stumble away.. But I didn't looked behind me to check if anyone was following me, since a certain Khao Manee had a looked of concern on their face..

"What on earth, did I just do.." I spoke to myself quietly as possible, looking at my hand.. I wasn't paying attention of what's around this time, as I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder as I hear a familiar soft voice.. "Zalex.. You okay?"

"I'm... I'm not sure if I am, Lucy.."

Looking over at the Khao Manee, Lucy had a worried face and I'm pretty sure, I was too.. It's not everyday, you start having weird powers gifted to you by a stranger.. As by fate, the ringing of the bell was the cue to start leaving back home..

"Hey um... Zalex?"

"Yea, what's up Lucy?" I ask the Khao Manee, in confusion of what she is about to ask me.. "Do you think, you and you're mum could handle Yashy and the others for the weekend?"

That wasn't the answer I was expecting but.. Yashy some what had a soft side for me, besides being a little lizard and all but she is still young so maybe it'll won't hurt to look after her..

"Heh.. I'm sure she won't be any trouble, but what about you and Mike." I could see a blush forming underneath the Khao Manee's face, not even her white fur could hide it.. "S-Shut up, Baka!"

Chuckling at her, before dodging a punch from the Khao Manee as I started to make a run for it, while getting my stuff from the locker unknown to me that the mysterious man was floating up in the sky watching us, before shifting his attention to a certain red headed boy.. "I wish you luck, on finding me in the future.. dear son..."

(A/n: This bonus I'm going to put in here that isn't really canon for this story. This is mostly a parody of Matt the curtin's Mha hallway joke.)

In the Binks Resident's house, in a hallway with many bedrooms.. right now, we are seeing a Korat cat coming out of a room..

"Easy... Zalex?" Said Mike had a look of confusion as he saw his friend coming out of his sister's room, who had came along them..

"Mike?" Zalex also had a look of confusion on his face, wondering what Mike was doing... "What were you doing in my sister's room at this hour."

"What were you doing in Lucy's room at this hour.." Zalex replies back, with a hint of disappointment at his Korat friend, of why he was in the Khao Manee's room..

"What? We fell asleep studying, that's all we did." Mike says back to Zalex with a nervous reaction, while the human boy had a questionable look..

"If it was anyone else, I wouldn't believe it." The Korat felt an invisible knife just went through him, before speaking again, in a harsh quiet voice..

"Oh and you're about to convince me that you were studying in there.." The human boy could only look at his Korat friend like he did something bad.. "Dude... Harsh.."

Okay Mike felt sorry for him now, as I goes back to apologize to him.. "Good point.. Sorry..."

"I left my headphones in her room okay!"

Suddenly another friend of their, quietly appears before them, with a still happy face on.. "That's pretty sus, there bro."

"David? What were you doing in Rachel's room?" Zalex had just ask an very important question and even Mike was wondering what David was doing in her room as well.. "Oh I got lost."

The Korat and human could only blink their eyes in confusion as they slowly question their sanity.. after few seconds Mike finally spoke along with Zalex..

"Could happen."

"No yeah, I could see a world where it would.." Once they finished, their friend started to speak again.. "While I was lost, Rachel texted me saying she got stuck crawling under her bed, so I went in and unstuck her." That sentence finally got on Zalex's nerves, as the human boy was having trouble getting the dirty image out of his brain..

"See, now he's losing me.." Zalex's voice held a irritated emotion but this was short live as their orange friend came out of Mike's room.. "Why don't I ever get those text messages?"

"Paulo!?"

"Wait Paulo, what were you doing coming out of my room?" Everyone was looking at Paulo, who had a nervous face before saying.. "You know I don't think it's worth discussing.." The three friends could only look at each other before dismissing it..

"Okay possible lawsuits I think-" Zalex started to speak but was quickly interrupted by a door opening, and when they turn to look they saw Augustus coming out of Sandy's room..

"Gentleman.." As soon they saw him, he was already out of their sights back to his own room, before looking back at Sandy's bedroom door.. "Sandy?" The human says in a calm yet questionable voice..

"I asked him to kill a spider.." The human boy's brain was starting to hurt at this point.. "Okay, I have no idea what to think.."

"It could be either.." Paulo's only answer he got was a quick jab to the rib as Zalex continued to speak.. "Straight toss up.."

"Okay, we've all been caught in a compromising situation. But I don't think anyone's done anything wrong, except for Paulo.." The Korat cat spoke in a worried voice which everyone has to agree with Mike here besides what Paulo may have done.. "Show me the law.."

"Maybe later so, I think we should just go back to our rooms and never speak of this ever agai-" Mike's voice stop as everyone heard a familiar female voice speaking directly to them, as they turn to a blacken end of the hallway where two glowing green eyes were seen.. "Boys... I'm going to count to ten and I better see you all sleeping in bed..."

"Yes Ma'ma/Mum.." Mike and others including Zalex, spoke to the adult before heading back to their respectively rooms, while the mother of the human went back to their own room.. "Those kids, got a long way to go in the future.."
