#10- Fall from Grace!
Marinette and friends make their way out of the dungeon, thank to her Weapon Master Skill, she can store countless things, including the corpse of the Giant King, a few bags full of Goblin ears, and the treasure from the Giant King's hoard!
But as they make their way out, the group stumble upon a gruesome find!
The corpse of her ex-teamate, Alya, along with the bodies of Rika and Renamon, the two adventurers hired by Barron Gabriel.
"Who the hell did this?" cried Sabrina.
"That...would be me..." a familiar voice said.
the group turned to find Adrien, covered in the blood of his comrades!
FLASHBACK: 3 hours ago...
Adrien and the Fangs of Heaven, were swamped! a horde of Goblin Beasts led by a trio of Goblin Mages, Adrien thought they could breeze right past them, but the group of monsters proved to be too much for them!
Luckly, Rika and Renamon were able to fell them on their own!
She then turned to Adrien, who was tired as hell, "What the hell was that? i heard that your Blade of Judgement skill was seccond to none!"
"It Was, but without Marinette's aid, it is nothing more than a waste..." Renamon said.
Adrien growled at her...
"It's time for you to face facts, Marinette bought the potions, Marinette had the equipment repaired, Marinette did all the planning, Marinette was the reason the Fangs of Heaven became a A-Rank Party, without her and her EXP Giver skill, you are fighting at your original power level before Marinette came along." Renamon explained, she knew all about Marinette's skill, as well as the role she played on the team.
Adrien and Alya still couldn't believe it, until they saw their stats:
Adrien
Race: Human
Class: Warrior
Level: 12
Skill: Blade of Judgement
"WHAT!" cried Adrien, his level had returned the level he had when he became an adventurer.
Alya
Race: Human
Class: Mage
Level: 20
"No...it can't be..." whispered Alya.
"Please don't tell me you never bothered to look at your stats after Marinette took back the EXP she gave you?" said Rika.
"We thought she was bluffing, we didn't know she could actually take back her EXP!" Alya said.
"Did you once ever listen to her when she explained her skill? if you did, you would know that if chose to take back her EXP, all of the EXP that was given over the years, would return to her, all of it, Marinette was with you for 4 years, FOUR! that meant all of the growth and progress you had gained was thanks to HER!" Renamon snapped.
"Why the hell do you care?" said Alya.
"We Beastmen care and defend our own, i have watched with disgust how you undervalue her, never once letting her keep the EXP she collected in some macho means of keeping her weak and easy to control!" Renamon said with a snarl.
"...Shut...up.." a low growl was heard from Adrien.
"No! you need to hear this, you need a goddamn reality check, I often spoke to Marinette, and she told me that if it wern't for the fact that her parents were in debt with the city, she would have left a long time ago, do you hear me Agreste? she WANTED to leave, and i don't blame her!" Rika said.
"Shut Up..." he said again.
"Adrien...maybe they're right, when we get out, we should ask Marinette to come ba..." SLICE!
That was all Alya said until Adrien severed her head!
"I SAID...SHUT UP! i don't ever want the hear her name ever again!" Adrien roared.
FLASHBACK END!
"I blacked out after that, and when i came to, everyone was dead and it was quiet...so very quiet...just like when i killed Nino..." Adrien said with a giggle, a sign that he had clearly lost his mind..
Marinette just stood there, agast at what she had just learned, she then approached Adrien.
"You know, i should leave you here, all you cared about was yourself and your deisre to be the best, you made me hate the skils i was born with, you stuck me with all of the chores and grunt work, and how did you thank me? you kicked me out of the party when you felt you no longer needed me, that hurt, and when people tried to set you straight, you either threw a tantrum, threaten to fire them, or killed them." Marinette explained.
She then smiled and lifted his head, "But, that's not the person i am, i want to be there for people, even the Adriens of the world, so lets get you home to your dad."
As the others nodded, the group helped Adrien and carried him out of the dungeon...
