#15- Stone Wall Blues!
"How could things have gone like this?"
This was Adrien's only thought as he sat in his cold, lonely, prison cell, one minute his party, The Fangs Of Heaven, was on their way to being a S-Rank Party, soon earning the fame and prestige that the Hero Party, the Four Flames, have clamed, Next thing he knew, he had killed his party in a fit of rage, and was covered in blood.
The trial was quick, his father didn't even try to defend him, claiming that he brought shame to the Agreste Family, and that if his mother was alive, she would be ashamed of him.
Three years, that was the sentence he was given, his father said that he got off easy, Guildmaster Izzy was pushing for the death penalty, but the other members of the council wanted to be leinient with him in gratitude for his party's service.
He had everything, power, money, admiration, and in a few days it was taken from him.
"And all of it could have been avoided if Marinette hadn't taken away my EXP!" he growled, "why didn't she just take being kicked out of the party without complaint."
"Your EXP?" a voice said.
Adrien knew that voice, he turned arround to see Nino, but somthing was off, for one thing, he was transparent, and another thing, his his head was still backwards from when he snapped his neck.
"It was NEVER ours to begin with, Marinette earned that EXP, if it weren't for her, we never would have reached A-Rank at all!" Nino snapped, "Marinette did most of the work for us, she made dinner, she bought the maps, she scouted the dungeons, bought potions and healing items, hell, she even let us use her as a training dummy, and she did all of this with a smile to hide how unhappy she was, and how did you thank her, you kicked her out when you felt you no longer needed her, when Marinette was the heart of the team!"
"She was Level 25, what use would she have been?" asked Adrien.
"If you had let her keep some EXP, she would have gotten stronger, not that she wasn't already strong enough from having to put up with you guilt-tripping her into giving up her EXP just to fed your monster ego." Nino replied, "You threw away the sweetest person that ever lived, no wonder Sabrina left too, if it weren't for Alya, i would have left you too!"
"SHUT UP!" Adrien roared.
"NO! you need to hear this, that's your problem, you throw a tatrum every time shit doesn't go your way, remember when Sabrina left with Mari, you tore Sabrina's room apart, calling her a traitor and every curse in the dictionary! and when Alix left, you almost attacked a Beasman child out of anger!" Nino said, "You only care about yourself, and the path you've set for yourself, and when someone deviates from that plan, you have a fit."
"SHUUUT UUUP!" Roared Adrien.
"I feel sorry for you dude, you could have started over, you could learned from your mistakes, instead, you keep digging youself deeper, well Adrien, you dug you own grave, now lie in it..." Nino said as he disappeared as Adrien punched the wall in a fit of rage!
"This was Marinette's fault, all of it! she just couldn't learn her place, she just couldn't leave peacefully..." he kept repeating to himself...
