#17- Ironcrest, City of the Damned!
Ironcrest, Hyguard's sister city, however Ironcrest was a dark, depraved city of sin and chaos, known for it's illegal slave trading, lack of law enforcement and weak goverment, the city's mayor, Henry Wong, tries his best keep the city from tearing itself to shreds, but with the dungeon's apperence, things have spiraled out of control.
The Leaves of Rebirth and the Four Flames, both arrive at the city, Marinette covers her nose at the pungent smell of garbage and cheap alcohol.
"You'll get used to it..." said Kari.
"If it doesn't drive you insane first..." added Tai.
The two parties checked in at the local Adventurer's guild where Guildmaster Zoe was waiting, next to her was a young man, in a dark blue suit and sporting a dark blue bandana.
"This is my asistant, Kouji Minamoto, if there is anything you guys require, feel free to ask him." she said
Kouji simply stood where he was with a sneer, "i did not know that there would be Beastmen in this party..."
Kari, Alix, and Marinette all growled at Kouji who simply turned his nose in disgust.
"KOUJI! show some respect, this is the party that defeated the Giant King, Gorogoro, and reclaimed one of the 6 Sacred Swords!" Zoe snapped, "Please forgive my assistant, he has a thing against Beastmen for some reason."
Kari put her hands on her hips in a cutesy way, "He's like this to me as well..." she says to Marinette.
"Anyway as to why you are here, acording to Kari's intel, one of the 6 Sacred Swords lies within the dungeon, "The Blood Queen's Sanctuary." Zoe said, "Ever since the Dungeon's appearence, hordes of Undead have been gathering there, as if they were summoned, we believe that one of the Demon King's Generals may be the dungeon's boss."
"And you want us to subjigate the place before those undead set their sights on Ironcrest?" asked Takato.
"Exactly, and i asked the Leaves of Rebirth to assist because they are the only other S-Rank party whose member weilds one of the Sacred Swords." Zoe said.
"Of course we'll help, i think this will be good experience of us, right guys?" said Marinette, T.K, Sabrina, Kari, and Alix nodded.
As the two parties leave to prepare for the trip, Kari tugs on Marinette's arm, "Yeah Kari?"
"I need you help, it's about the Dungeon..." Kari said.
"What about it?" asked Sabrina.
Kari takes off her scarf and reveals a mysterious emblem on her neck, six swords pointed at each other in a star-like formation.
Sabrina steps back in amazement, "Mari, do you have any idea what that is?"
Marinette shrugs her shoulders.
"That is the crest of the Six Legendary Heroes, this means that Kari is a decendant of one of the Six Legendary Heroes!" Sabrina said.
Kari nodded, "I have to get the Sacred Sword from that dungeon, i don't know why, but it was like the sword was..."
"Calling out to you?" Marinette finished.
Kari gasped, that was when Marinette showed Kari her leg, which bore the same crest as Kari's
"Mari, you too?" Alix asked.
Marinette nodded, "It was why i wanted to go to the Giant King's Fortress, Gigasbane was calling out to me."
"Kari, does Tai know you have that crest?"
"I want to tell him, but i don't know how he'll take it?" said Kari, looking ashamed.
"No worries, you're a member of the Leaves of Rebirth, you'll be with friends!" Marinette said with a smile...
