#22- The Trial!
After their battle in the Blood Queen's dungeon, the two parties make their way back to Hyguard, Kari and the Sword of The Lightning God, Auramelle, Guildmaster Izzy was very impressed, with 4 Sacred Swords found, hope was begining to fill the city.
As Takato and the rest of his party left to explore the rest of Hyguard, Izzy and the Leaves of Rebirth were alone, Izzy tried to be as descret as possible with what he had to say...
"ADRIEN HAS WHAT?" cried Alix.
"Been..Relesed, on good behaivour." Izzy said.
"He was only there for 2 and in half months!" cried Sabrina.
"What did he do?" asked Kari.
"Kari, Adrien is, or at least was, leader of the Fangs of Heaven, Marinette was part of his party for a time, he then kicked her out when they no longer needed her, Sabrina left alongside her, Adrien abused her EXP Giver skill to make himself and his teamates stronger, while making Marinette the pack mule/manservant." Izzy explained.
Kari simply growled, her eyes turned red with fury.
"Girl, i feel you, i wanted to tear his face off too." said Alix as she patted Kari's head.
"He killed the rest of the party in a mad attempt to claim the reward for himself." Izzy said, "We locked him up in prison and stripped Gabriel of his noble titile, but at the last seccond, those bastards in the council overturned that decision due to Gabriel's "Effective Leadership" and after Adrien's release, he had the audacity to ask to be reinstated into the guild."
"What? so he kill somone else too?" growled Alix, Marinette was silent, all the memories of her time with adrien's party came flooding back...
As tears flowed from her eyes, T.K and Kari hugged her, Alix and Sabrina followed suit.
"Mari, look at us, you don't owe that son of a bitch anything! if anything, he owes you for all the hell he put you through!" Alix said.
"Now Alix, don't you think you're overreacting..." a Familiar Voice said.
The group turned to face Adrien Agreste himself!
"Wow, i'm suprised the armor still fits!" Adrien said, he then faced Marinette, who was shaking with rage, bubbling inside her.
"Marinette, you've gotten stronger, i'm glad, if Alya and Nino were here, they'd be proud of how far you've come." Adrien said.
Marinette was silent, which prompted Izzy to speak.
"Adrien, while i personally think you should be nowhere near society, the rules apply to everyone, even me, All convicted felons who wish to rejoin the guild, must pass a Reinstatement Trial, it consists of two parts, one, a written exam, and two a special trial of my choosing, this is where you come in Marinette, if you want to be let back into the guild, you must defeat Marinette in sole combat, Suceed, and you will liscense will be returned, fail, and you must wait another year to apply again." Izzy explained, "Marinette, do you accept these terms?"
"...I accept, on 3 conditions, the two of us will face each other 3 weeks from now, that should give Adrien time to get back into his groove, 2. the whole city must be allowed to watch, and 3, the fight will take place at 12:00 midnight, when the Full Moon rises." Marinette explained, but Alix knew what she meant.
"No problem, and when i win, you and your friends are welcome to join the Fangs of Heaven." Adrien said with a smile that made T.K throw up in his mouth.
"Very well, the battle will take place 3 weeks from now, when the full moon rises." Izzy said as the adventurers left.
Alix made her way to Marinette, "Mari, you do realise what happens to you when the Full Moon rises, right?" asked Alix.
"Which is why i didn't tell Adrien..." she said, "I want Adrien to see the REAL me..." she said...
