AN: Takes place after "Thank you, Alola, the Journey Continues" but before "Epilogue: Secret Santa"
It had been many months since the PAW Patrol had their craziest adventure to date in the bustling metropolis that is Adventure City following Mayor Humdinger's downfall and his removal from office as well as the imprisonment of convict scientist, Dr. Cameron Cawthorn, thanks to their efforts and their collaboration with the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue.
For everyone in the now-peaceful city and beyond, life was back to normal. It was now June 29th, a few days following the Ultra Rescue Rangers' graduation from the Pokémon School in Alola, and while there were some small strings of crimes still going on, Ryan, Angel, and the Adventure City Police Force were doing their best to keep the peace. Despite their continued efforts, whenever they would hit a roadblock in their work, they would occasionally call on Sarah and her family to help them crack down on the cases they were working on.
This resulted in the city's local gangs keeping low profiles and their shade crimes from the underground down to a minimum to hide deeds as best they could although they would be foiled at every turn thanks to Hayden, Brooke, and their teamwork. They were still on thin ice with the police force but whenever Sarah was around, they always seemed to show her mutual respect given how she handled herself on their home turf. This was also helped by the news about her and her family and friends ending Team Rocket for good and the previous cases they undertook as well as Liberty (given her sassy nature and her devoted mission to safeguard her former home from troublemakers).
All seemed peaceful now apart from the sounds of a scrapyard hard at work which was owned by a company called J&H Scrap, developed by a friendly and lovely couple named Janet and Hank (who either unironically or ironically named their scrap company after them) who were busy dealing with pieces of scrap metal on them.
"*It's gonna be a scorcher today, folks! We're looking at a high of 98 cooling down into the evening AND we are forecasting clear skies up and down the coast which means Adventure City should get a good view of tonight's meteor shower! You're listening to Adventure City Radio 1.4~!*" a radio announcer called, bringing up the latest news of what's going on in Adventure City while Hank was happily sorting through piles of scrap metal on his end, manning his electromagnetic crane to place the scrap metal he picks up into their respective bins.
All the while, Janet was busying herself with welding and torching a sheet of metal with her blowtorch. While she was working, she heard a telephone ringing from a trailer behind her which housed their office.
"I'm comin'! I'm comin'!" she chuckled as she went inside their office and picked up the phone to answer the call they were getting.
"J&H Scrap; you bring in trash, we pay you cash. Oh, sure thing, I'll get 'im."
She then went outside to call Hank as the person calling them and their company wanted to speak with him, "Hank! Phone~!"
"Okey-doke!" Hank replied as he halted his work and went over to answer the phone.
"Bruce, when are you gonna start answering the phone? Living here rent-free," Janet joked to her and Hank's pet goldfish, Bruce, with a laugh just as Hank arrived and got the call.
"Hello?" Hank answered only to discover, to his and Janet's surprise, that there was nobody on the other line. "Hello? Hmm, that's weird, there's nobody there."
"What do you mean, Hank? I was just talking to her when I picked up her call," Janet replied as she tried to get through to the person who called them and Hank went to get back to work only to discover that the door was locked when he tried to open it.
"What on earth? The door's locked!" he said, baffled as he soon realized that somebody locked them inside their trailer.
"Hank, there's somebody outside in the scrapyard!" gasped Janet as she looked out the window.
"Where?"
"Look over there!"
The friendly couple looked out the window and to their shock and horror, they saw a mysterious figure entering the scrapyard and entering Hank's crane.
"What are they doing?"
"It, it looks like... Oh, no! They're stealing the crane!"
Hank and Janet were right to be worried; as they could only helplessly watch, the mysterious figure making off with the former's crane started it up and drove off with it, crushing some unused cars along the way and into some welding tanks as they left.
"Oh, my goodness! No, they're heading for the welding tanks!" Hank cried, horrified.
But, it was too late; without a care in the world as they continued to make off with his crane, the mystery thief crushed the welding tanks and caused them to explode, setting off a chain reaction as several pieces of scrap that were close by got caught in the blasts. This frightened Hank and Janet and they yelped and could only watch as a tire that was caught ablaze flew into another pile of welding tanks they exploded as well.
That wasn't the end of their problems, however, because the welding tanks that exploded were next to a series of stacked, crushed, and disused cars, causing them to tip over and create a circle of fire and junk. And, if that's not bad enough for the friendly scrap dealers, the sign put up for their company toppled over and blocked the entrance. Janet, Hank, and Bruce could only scream in terror at this; now, like then, nothing can get in or out unless a rescue attempt can be made to save them from certain death and destruction.
But, there was hope yet for them; immediately knowing what to do, Janet went over to the phone and immediately called the ones responsible to help them out of their dangerous predicament.
"Hello! PAW Patrol, Power Rangers, this is Janet from J&H Scrap! The whole place is burning down and Hank and I are trapped in our office, you've got to come quick!" she exclaimed, doing her best not to panic further.
Out on Adventure Bay's coast, two large vessels made for sea-faring travels and rescue operations similar to military cruisers called aircraft carriers from the Navy belonging to the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue were coming into port. The aircraft carriers were known as the Aircraft Carrier HQ and the Dragon Carrier HQ; portable sea-faring versions of their main Adventure City HQ building and Command Center for the PAW Patrol (being the team's traditional red, gray, and blue color scheme and having their team insignia on top of the Command Center) and a Bewilderbeast-shaped aircraft carrier (the latter matching the size and length of the Aircraft Carrier HQ and being white with rainbow stripes around the ship's frill that serves as the Command Center) for the Ultra Rescue Rangers.
Despite having graduated from the Pokémon School and having retired from their full-time ranger duties, Sarah, Race, Ash, Kiawe, Lillie, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles knew that other villains were lurking around and there were other crimes to protect the world from. So, along with Sarah and Race, the rest of the gang decided to keep their Wrist Coms and be ready to be called into action again should the need arise (with Lusamine and the rest of the Aether Foundation looking after all of the equipment and Zords belonging to Ash and the others while Sarah had continued custody rights over her and Race's Zords and arsenal).
When they heard about the trouble Janet and Hank were in, they immediately sprung into action with Ryder and Sarah overlooking and prepping for their teams' rescue operation in their respective cockpits in the Command Center.
"Okay, Janet, we'll be right over! You and Hank stay calm and don't panic, that's the first thing you should do," Sarah said as she ended the call and contacted Ryder. "Ryder, sounds like Hank and Janet are in a real bind right now! If we don't get to their scrapyard, they're gonna be burned alive!"
"Right! We're all set to go here, Sarah! Okay, pups, we got a fire at the scrapyard, and from the sound of it, we don't have much time. No fire's too big, no pup is too small!" Ryder nodded and announced to the PAW Patrol.
"We'll need all hands and paws on deck to get Hank and Janet out and douse the flames spreading all over them!"
"Prepare for launch!" the pair finished as Skye, Astrid, Stormfly, Lillie, Jazz, the Vikings, and the dragons were raised onto the decks of their respective ships and runways, being the first ones to take off.
"Ladies, Vikings, and dragons!
"You are all cleared for takeoff!" Rosebud and Rubble announced as they wore their uniforms and held light sticks to guide the girls and the dragons with Skye being the first one launched to lead the PAW Patrol to J&H Scrap along with the girls and the rest of the Berk Vikings and dragons from Sarah's party.
"Yeah/Let's go!" grinned Dragonair and Meatlug.
"Wish us luck!" Fishlegs grinned with a thumbs up as he strapped himself down and his friends (who all got new Viking attire from HTTYD 2 and weaponry from HTTYD 3) got onto their dragons.
"Okay, bud, let's get it started!" Hiccup called out to Toothless as his Night Fury warbled in agreement.
"Ready to fly, Stormfly?" Astrid quizzed her Deadly Naddler, getting a knowing purr from her partner.
"Let's rock!"
"Yeah/Punch it!" Snotlout and the Viking Twins smirked as they, Barf, Belch, and Hookfang readied themselves.
"Hang on, Snowy! We're going to go fast to get to Hank and Janet's scrapyard!"
"I'm hanging!" Lillie and Snowy bantered, eager to get back to their ranger duties as they sat in their Sky Jet.
"Let's take to the sky!"
"Let's fly!" Sky and the female dragons shouted and roared with determined grins with Skye and Lillie starting the engines of their respective jets.
"And, awaaaaay, WE GO!" Rubble screamed, allowing the girls, the other Vikings, and the dragons to take off down the runways and quickly fly off.
"Pup, get ready to launch/Everyone, prepare yourselves!" Ryder and Sarah called to their respective teams, activating deployment measures on each of their crew's ships and pulling into the coastline's ports built for them while pulling back on the engines.
"Rev, Engine, hook us up!" the princess shouted to the Dragon Carrier HQ's drivers (and new pups in the Dragonstone Patrol) after both teams docked:
- Rev: a male Sarabi dog with red eyes and a grey and white chest, paws, and underbelly
- Engine: a Rottweiler x Sarabi dog mix with yellow eyes, burgundy fur, light burgundy front paws,
"Roger!" the Dragon Carrier HQ pups nodded, hooking the Dragon Carrier to the Ultra Rescue Rangers' port just as Ryder connected the PAW Patrol's Aircraft Carrier to their main Adventure City base.
Once connected, driving platforms were extended from the ships and connected with the roads leading them to the rest of Adventure City (the tusks on the Dragon Carrier acting as the driveways for its vehicles as they folded outward). On both ships, Liberty, Nikki, James, and Tsukumaro readied themselves on the Mega Royal Sprinter and Dual Patrol Fighter and her Power Scooter, their jet engines deployed and ready to launch them first into the city.
The others including the rest of the PAW Patrol would follow them from behind with Race, Ryder, and Sarah (all lined up and raised before the aforementioned quartet) bringing up the rear on Athena, Solar, and his Adventure ATV MK.2, respectively. As for Sarah and Race's Flying Types, they will be flying above them once everybody's on their way including those in the Poke-Cruiser and Sarah and Race's friends and their Partner Pokémon in their respective Adventure City Rovers.
"Power Rangers...…"
"Dragon Knights...…."
"PAW Patrol...…."
"It's Morphin' Time/HOOOOOOOOOOO/Is on a roll!" Sarah, Hiccup, and Ryder shouted as they drove/flew off towards J&H Scrap with Adventure City's people noticing and cheering them all on as they passed.
"BEST ENTRANCE EVER/BEST ENTRANCE EVER!" the youngsters of the group cheered as everybody arrived at Janet and Hank's scrapyard in record time.
"Skye, Lillie, Astrid, Jazz, what's the sitch up above?" Sarah quizzed once all three teams were present and accounted for.
"We see the fire, Sarah, and it's a big one!"
"We're gonna need a lot of water to soak this fiery inferno and fast!"
"We're going for an emergency water drop!" Skye, Jazz, and Lillie called before they went off to a nearby water reservoir to pick up the water and drop it on the flames via their jets' water nets.
"Ryder, Sarah, I found Janet and Hank! They're safe inside their trailer but I'm not sure how long they'll last before the fire reaches them!" Astrid called Ryder and Sarah on her new Wrist Com while using some advanced binoculars Sarah made for her and the other Viking Teens to find the friendly scrap dealers.
"Got it! Keep watch from above, Astrid! Let us know when we're in the clear!" Ryder nodded as Skye, Lillie, and Jazz returned with the water needed to douse the flames.
"Skye, Jazz, Lillie, the entrance is barred by that sign and the trash and flames around it! You'll need to clear the way in before we can begin!" the tomboy Viking informed the three pilots.
"Right, these pups and this ranger are gonna fly!" Skye agreed as the three of them flew low and shot back up, dropping half of the water they gathered in bags to douse the burning entrance completely. "Bullseye!"
"Hot dog! It's the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers, Janet! They've come to save us!" Hank cheered.
Janet was also delighted as she quipped to Bruce, "The Power Rangers and the PAW Patrol! Bruce, you're gonna love 'em. The Power Rangers are superheroes and the PAW Patrol are cute little puppies who drive around in cars...…. I know that sounds weird but just go with it."
"You're all set, Ryder, guys!" Astrid signaled.
"Okay, Marshall, let's fight that fire!" Ryder called, allowing Marshall to pull ahead.
"Right! Arf, Water Cannon!" nodded the Dalmatian pup as he entered the junkyard, activating his truck's water cannons and doing donuts as he fired off several water spheres that managed to douse the areas on fire.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly as the others arrived. Despite that, Astrid and Stormfly noticed something horrifying as the latter sniffed and found the new source of flames, warbling in horror and alerting her rider as they heard Janet and Hank panicking and crying out for help. What's worse, they were still locked in their trailer and they were super close to some welding tanks next to a flame Marshall had missed.
"Oh, no!" the Viking tomboy shouted before she saw Skye with the water net on her when at that moment, her eyes widened, and she and Stormfly went over to her to give her a hand.
"Crap! Ryder, there are some welding tanks near the trailer! That fire's gonna blow them up along with them inside it!" the princess screamed as they saw the flame and the welding tanks.
"Holy old bays! You're right! Marshall, the trailer's on fire!" Ryder realized as he alerted his fire pup.
"Oh, no! Ryder, I'm all out of water!" Marshall replied, seeing that he had dried up his truck's water tanks.
"What?!" cried Appletun in alarm.
"We're never gonna blow that flame off in time!" Frosmoth blurted out from inside the Poke-Cruiser as Zeraora activated its communication system so everyone in it could communicate with the others.
"We just need someone to douse it before those tanks blow up and fast! A Water Pokémon or-!" shouted Gogoat, knowing they had to work fast before...
"INCOMING!" Skye and Astrid bellowed as they and Stormfly came in with the water net, dropping the water and immediately dousing the flame before it and the tanks blew up.
Everybody cheered loudly for the pair and Stormfly for coming in the nick of time as Liberty, Ryder, and Sarah screamed what they were all thinking, "Yeah!"
"Yeah, Skye!"
"Nice save, Astrid, Stormfly!"
"That's how we do it, High Flying Deadly Naddler Style! WHOOOOOO!" hollered Astrid as she, Stormfly, and Skye flew high into the air and nose-dived their way to terra-firma again (Skye transforming her Sky Jet and putting it back in Helicopter Mode as they landed).
"WHOOO! HA-HA-HA-HA! Ya'll see that right there? See? That's my Skye! That's why she's my favorite pup!" Liberty yapped excitedly.
Relieved to see that Hank and Janet were unharmed, Ryder and Sarah signaled Rocky to open the door and have Rubble join him for safety measures. The pair nodded as they went to the door and proceeded to set the friendly scrap dealers free from their unintentional prison.
"Let's get you out of there," Rocky called as he carefully picked the door's lock open with his Pup Pack's crowbar before it flung off its hinges and hit Rubble on the head as he pried it off. Thankfully, he was still wearing his hard hat as it protected him from having a serious concussion that would've killed him had he been unprotected. "Oops! Sorry, Rubble."
"And, that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I always wear a hard hat," he joked reassuringly while Hank and Janet (the latter safely holding Bruce and his fishbowl) got out, both of them extremely thankful to their heroes and friends for the quick save.
"Oh, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Hank breathed
"No worries, Hank. It's a good thing you and Janet called us when you did."
"Yeah, we're all just glad you're okay. Hopefully, there's not too much damage done to your scrapyard and everything in it," Sarah and Ryder smiled humbly.
"Well, the good thing about that is that everything we have here is all junk, to begin with," Hank laughed while Aurora went to the piles of unused junk that weren't destroyed by the flames, her eyes twinkling as her brain filled with ideas on how she could salvage and use the scrap for new purposes.
"That's good. It would've been nasty had we not arrived in time to cut the flames off before they destroyed the entire yard and got out to the rest of the land and Adventure City," Astrid nodded with a relieved smile.
"These are the brave kids and pups I told you about. This is Bruce, he's a sensitive soul. This is all a bit much for him," Janet said, introducing Bruce to the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers and speaking on his behalf while he just blew bubbles.
"Hey! Janet, I got an idea! How about we get a picture with Bruce, the Pups, and the Rangers?" Hank beamed, taking out his cell phone and activating its camera app.
"Oh, great idea!" his wife agreed as she held onto Bruce and moved behind Zuma, Chase, and Skye.
"Janet, can you grab the little one so she can get in the photo?" her husband asked kindly.
That unintentionally hurt Skye's feelings as she replied, a little dismayed, "I'm fine down here, though."
"Come here, sweetie," Janet cooed warmly as she picked her up anyway.
"Okay, everybody! Hold it right there! Everybody, on three, say: 'Junk!'. One, two, three!"
"Junk!" the group grinned as the picture was taken (although Skye didn't smile after being called 'little').
"I hate being the smallest pup," Skye grumbled with a groan after she was put down before Liberty came over to cheer her up.
"If she ever picked me up like that? Man, I would've hit her with a good dose of Dog Breath. Ha!" Liberty joked, getting a smile out of the little cockapoo as they laughed.
The moment of happiness between them was short-lived as everybody got back to the heart of the matter and Chase and Cadence joined everybody after completing their investigation.
"Janet, Hank, by the looks of it, somebody wanted to keep you in your trailer while they made off with something big."
"We finished our investigation and there was something weird about all this. Your trailer was locked from the outside but how did that happen?" the pair quizzed the friendly scrap dealers.
"Well, you're not gonna believe this. But, minutes ago, while we were working as usual, we got a strange phone call from someone on the other side but nobody answered when we picked it up. Suddenly, at that moment, we were locked up in our trailer and whoever came into the scrapyard made off with our ten-ton electromagnet," Hank informed, causing Ryder, Sarah, and Astrid to become suspicious.
Even Hiccup pondered, seeing how strange it was for a thief to steal an electromagnetic crane from Hank and Janet, "An electromagnet?"
"Who would want to steal a ten-ton electromagnet?"
"And, if somebody does want it badly, what would they do with a giant widget like that?" puzzled Ryder and Astrid.
"I don't know but nothing good, probably. What's more, it's our only clue to this mystery," Sarah replied, also having a bad feeling about the whole state of affairs before she turned to Janet and Hank. "Janet, Hank, you better come with us; we'll need to inform Ryan and Angel about this. They'll need a full statement from you; hopefully, whatever you tell them can help us solve this mystery."
"Guess we know what that means. Right, guys?" Rose asked her friends.
"Right," the rest of the Buddies agreed as Mudbud said, "It looks like we stumbled ourselves into an electric mystery and we better find out what the thief wants with Janet and Hank's magnet, who the thief is, and why."
"If anything, whoever stole such a human contraption and nearly killed them and their beloved pet has no regard for human life nor common sense," put in Nyasi gravely.
Meanwhile, beyond the confines of Adventure City, on a large piece of land across the ocean, there stood an observatory that had been run down and out of service for years; its walls were tattered, bits of moss and large cracks covered chunks of the stone parts of it in front of the ragged dome, one section of it is gone completely, and the roof was slowly coming apart by the seams even though it was supposedly intact for some time.
One would think twice about living in a decrepit place such as that given how shabby it is but amongst the citizens of Adventure Bay or any other place in the world, there was one person who lived in it and called it her own. That person was the cloaked figure that made off with Janet and Hank's electromagnet, swinging down to the floor via a chain while lowering the electromagnet to the top of an odd-looking machine she had set up, screwing it in and jumping to a control panel as she got rid of her cloak.
A petite, pear-shaped black woman with brown skin, aquamarine eyes, and long, spiky, turquoise-dyed hair that sported equally spiky bangs by the name of Victoria Vance.
In addition to her basic looks, she sported pink eyeshadow that matched the red lipstick that shamed the redness of the crimson rose, purple nail polish, a black necklace around her neck with no adornments as of yet, and her attire that sported the following:
- a large studded black choker
- a pair of sparkling purple-framed glasses with small spikes on them
- a black no-sleeve vest that had a purple design implemented on the back
- a magenta skirt that had black and white 3/4 striped sleeves
- purple fingerless gloves
- high-waist black short-shorts
- fishnet stockings over turquoise tights
- black over-the-knee boots featuring black straps and small silver buckles
But, she wasn't completely alone in the decrepit observatory as another figure was with her, looking bored and wanting something exciting to do: an 8-year-old Mixed Breed who was nearly chocolate brown all over sporting brown eyes and a white chest - Della.
One thing about Della, however, is that she didn't know what it was like to be outside; she had lived with Victoria for her entire life ever since she was adopted when she was one month old, and ever since, she had been completely isolated from the outside world. This made her a puppy with very little in terms of social skills despite yearning for friends of her own.
"Alright, Della! It's showtime!" she grinned darkly with a chuckle as she flipped a switch and opened the roof to their observatory home, leaving the bored Della to sigh and not be interested as she turned away slightly.
Later, Adventure City was now at the cusp of night but everyone in the busy metropolis wasn't about to pack it in yet; the Stufful Constellation meteor shower had come by again and this time, it was about to go over the city soon leaving everybody scrambling to find good spots anywhere to see them go by. The majority of the townsfolk were piling around the PAW Patrol and the Ultra Rescue Rangers' main HQ buildings where they could get a good view of the meteor shower set to pass by later in the night and they were getting excited.
Because of the festivities going on, Commander Ryan and his police force including Angel were called in to keep peace and bring order to the streets so nothing could go wrong. They weren't there for just that, however; after he and Angel were told about the incident that nearly killed Janet and Hank and got their witness statements earlier in the day, he also became suspicious and promised that he and his team would keep an eye out for the thief at the heart of the incident should they appear again.
Arriving at the heroes' Adventure City premises to cover the meteor shower was a man named Sam Stringer (voiced by Lil' Rel Howery) who was just as excited as the townsfolk who got into the camera's view (which he didn't mind given the momentous occasion at hand) as he said, "Hey, what's going on, everybody? I'm Sam Stringer here reporting live from Downtown Adventure City where we're about to see the largest meteor shower in over fifty years."
"Oh, I'm so excited to see the meteors, Chickeletta!" Mayor Goodway beamed to her pet chicken who just clucked (both having come from Adventure Bay to join in on the fun).
"As you can see, it's meteor fever out here and everybody is turning their eyes to the starry sky before us."
Even the PAW Patrol and the Ultra Rescue Rangers themselves shared in the excitement of the coming meteor shower from the Stufful Constellation as they readied their telescopes set up in both towers, eager to see the meteors passing by should they appear.
They were also joined by one of Sarah's top teams from her Ranger Academy, Tom and the Rakke Town Riders (AKA the Rakke Corp), their parents, and the Power Rangers Dino Fury and Solon (since the Sporix along with Void King, Void Queen, and their minions had gone strangely quiet at Pine Ridge as of late) as they were invited to join them and see the celestial event coming into play. Willow and Flint were invited to come along for the trip with the Deadly Spinner the most excited of all as she got to see her rider again as she nuzzled her happily.
"Thanks for inviting us over to Adventure City for the meteor shower, Sarah," Olivia, Tom's mother, smiled at the little princess as they were helping a few others finish setting up the refreshment table for the event.
"My pleasure, Olivia. It's the least I can do given how Tom and his friends and you and the rest of your corp are handling yourselves in my academy and then some. And, hey, I figured it'll at least give you some time away from the Hidden World and Canada after everything you're doing," Sarah replied warmly.
On his team's end, Rocky was looking through the telescope intensely for the meteor shower just as Liberty popped into few from the other side.
"See any meteors?" the Dachshund asked eagerly, spooking the Mixed Breed for a moment and making him laugh as he replied, "All I could see is your giant head!"
"Oops, sorry," Liberty peeped before they laughed together.
"Come on, Rubble! I told you one too many times not to overeat, don't you think you have enough snacks on you by now?" sighed Cadence as she watched the hungry bulldog pup fiddle with the Pup Treat Dispenser for more snacks.
"You're gonna miss the meteor shower at this rate," Chase agreed.
"You two expect me to watch a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event such as the Stufful Constellation meteor shower without snacks?" Rubble asked innocently yet with an incredulous smile as a flood of pup treats piled on his bowl after he gave it a small kick, getting a laugh out of Cadence and Chase as he walked over to his spot.
"Well, for one thing, I'm hoping we don't have a repeat of what happened involving the meteors from the constellation during the incident with Kartana," Mallow prayed as she and the others remembered the time when Kartana crossed over from Ultra Space and he ended up helping them, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Nebby, and Giratina to save the Pokemon School from a series of meteors from the same constellation that nearly crushed the Pokémon School.
"We can only hope, Mallow," sighed Lana.
"Hey, Chase, it looks like you have a rip in your suit," Ryder said as he noticed Chase's front left leg sleeve on his uniform starting to rip off before the police pup could join the others.
"I do?" he quizzed, surprised as he looked at the tear.
"Yeah, looks like you're too big for this thing already. You're all growing up so fast, I sometimes feel older than you whenever I look at you and remember when I first brought you, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, and Zuma into the PAW Patrol."
"All of us, even me?" Skye eagerly asked, scampering over to him.
Ryder just smiled as he ruffled her head and told her, "Not much, Skye. Why, you're still pretty much the same size from what I can see but it's not much to worry about. Besides, all pups grow at their own speed."
This was not what Skye wanted to hear as she deflated and let out a solemn sigh before she muttered, "And, some of us never grow up at all...…."
As everybody continued to enjoy themselves and prepare for the meteor shower, they heard the elevator ring and Sarah smiled, knowing who it was that came as she turned to her Dino Fury and Rakke Corp friends and said, "Ah, perfect! They're here, finally! Tom, Zayto, guys, I have a few new members of my family that I want you to meet."
"New friends?"
"We have visitors?" the Rakke Town Riders and Dino Fury leaders puzzled in surprise at her as their teams also set their sights on the little princess.
"Yep, I had them dropped off at Ryan's place earlier not only to catch up with him and Angel on how they've been doing since the case of the Wiki-Tiki in Hanahuna but also to prepare them for their greatest dream yet. And, trust me, even we were surprised to find out about them just as much as you are."
"Who are they?" Tom's Night Light (Thunder) quizzed (upon realizing this, Race decided to tweak his Night Light's name to Bolt so they would not confuse him with Tom's close friend).
"Dino Fury Rangers, Solon, Rakke Corp, meet the Junior Patrollers A.K.A. the Poms and the Buddides: Nano, Mini, Tot, Rosebud, B-Dawg, Budderball, Buddha, and Mudbud," Sarah introduced just as the Poms and the Buddies appeared, the latter group lining up alongside the Poms while the former greeted them one at a time (with Mini and Tot appearing from Nano's right and left).
"Hi."
"Hello."
"What's up?"
"Hi, there."
"S'up, dogs?"
"Yo, got any grub?"
"Greetings, it is an honor to finally meet you."
"Hey, there!"
Needless to say, the Dino Fury Rangers, the Rakke Corp, and Solon were baffled by their presence with Alex, one of Tom's close friends, asking rhetorically on their behalf, "Does every dog talk in this world like them?"
"Short answer, in this world: yes," Amber chuckled as the PAW Patrol trainees entered the observatory of the Ultra Rescue tower (where everyone was gathered to look at the meteor shower).
"These little fellas told me when they grow up, they all want to be part of the PAW Patrol like Liberty, my Dachshund. So, after meeting them and solving the Wiki-Tiki case in Hawaii, Ryan and Angel gave me them and I've assigned her and Cadence to be their teachers so they can help them become official PAW Patrol members."
"Wait, they want to be members of the PAW Patrol?"
"For real?" Javi and Izzy blinked in surprise.
"Ooh! A telescope, can we look at the meteors?" Nano chirped excitedly when he saw the telescope the PAW Patrol had set up.
"Me first/My turn/I wanna see/No, me/My turn, my turn/WHOA!"
At that moment, Nano, Tot, and Mini scurried over to the telescope, hoping that one of them would be the first to see the meteor shower when it passed by. But, they ended up crashing into it and it would've been broken had a frantic Liberty not jumped in and saved it in time.
"Take it easy, puffballs! This thing here is expensive," she warned as she set it up right again.
"Oops."
"Whoops."
"Sorry," peeped the Poms, ashamed that they nearly broke something expensive in their excitement.
Sarah just chuckled at their enthusiasm and went over to the telescope, helping Liberty make sure that it was firmly propped upright before she moved the eyepiece down before them and told the PAW Patrol trainees, "Slow down, you three. The meteor shower will be here any minute so it's not the end of the world. Look through the eyepiece and tell us what you think but take turns while doing so."
Liberty agreed as she warned them again, "Carefully look through the eyepiece, carefully."
She then joined Skye (who began to feel comfortable with them despite her dismay over her current size and Ryder's unintentional comment) as she started to regret agreeing to be one of the Pom's tutors, "I don't know about this whole 'Junior Patroller' thing, I'm starting to regret agreeing to become a teacher of theirs. I mean, since when did the PAW Patrol become a babysitting service?"
Skye could only chuckle in amusement as she tried to soothe her doubtful fan and friend, "Come on, Liberty. Don't write them off too early just because they're small. Sarah's taken a liking to those three when we first met them in Hanahuna and they did help us find out where Manu's Wiki-Tiki lair was the night before we caught him and Snookie out. Need I remind you they were a big help in washing the dude out when he tried to terrorize everybody at that surfing contest?"
"Yeah, true. I get that."
"Whoa! Look at all the stars up there," Tot beamed in awe once he had his turn at the telescope.
"There must be a billion of them!"
"We should count them all!" agreed Nano and Mini.
"Okay!" Tot grinned in agreement as he and Nano switched places and the latter began to count, "One, two, three, four, five, six-"
"Yep, hard to believe there are so many stars out there. Hell, many of them would be their own little worlds we don't know about," Sarah smiled warmly as she pointed the Poms to the stars in the sky, stopping Nano from counting and getting their attention. "The light they're giving off is what is known as their hearts and they're shining down on all of us like a billion lanterns."
"What?"
"Huh?"
"We don't get it," the Poms quipped in confusion.
"In other words, they're just like you three whether you realize it or not," Sarah replied simply.
"What does that mean?" Nano piped up.
"You'll find out someday, I'm sure. When you're as big as Skye, Cadence, or Liberty, I'll tell you."
"Aww! We wanna know now, Sarah!" whined Mini while Liberty and Skye watched the entire exchange and began to snigger.
"You're all too young and too small to know now, you know that?"
"Quit treating us like we were babies!" grumbled Tot in annoyance, eventually getting laughs out of Liberty and Skye.
"Hey, what are you two laughing at?" Sarah quipped in surprise at the pair laughing.
"We can't help it! You four would make the weirdest family before us!" the cockapoo laughed.
"Aww...…" the Poms whined as Liberty and Skye continued to laugh before they and everybody else joined in on their laughter after a moment, seeing that it was all in good fun as they continued to wait in anticipation for the meteor shower.
Meanwhile, back at the old observatory, Victoria was ready to present her completed invention to the world via a live stream video as she set up her cell phone and began her stream. At this point, the world had no idea what they were in for as she was about to unleash the possibility of her twisted genius and what she had planned for everyone to see.
"Hello, world. Hello, universe. Hello, internet! My name is Victoria Vance and I'm making this video as proof that I'm the greatest scientist in history. Oh, yeah! Don't believe the rumors; I'm not a mad scientist. I mean, yeah, sure... Sometimes, I act a little mad and, yeah, I am a scientist. But, that alone doesn't make me a mad scientist. Don't we all act mad in one way or another besides being a scientist? You got that, you read it? Good."
Victoria laughed before she continued with her stream, walking to her computer that depicted two scans of two particular meteors she had her eyes on, "Now, as you can see, I've been tracking Meteors XO825 and XO826 for the past two years and they both contained some kind of power source, stronger than we've ever seen on this planet which brings us to my latest invention...…"
She then recorded the strange machine she had completed with Janet and Hank's electromagnet attached to it, "The Meteor Magnet; sweet name, huh? He-he, this little tractor beam it powers will soon pull those meteors out of the sky the moment the Stufful Constellation meteor shower comes into view and then gently deliver them to my doorstep, gift-wrapped."
Feeling satisfied with her work, Victoria jumped into her recliner chair and propped up her legs as she activated her radio (ironically named the Meteor Mix Tape) and grinned, "Now... Let's get ready to party."
And, so she began her work involving the meteors as she activated her Meteor Magnet via a big red button on her keyboard while Della, still feeling bored, groaned quietly and covered her ears to try and block out the rock music coming from her radio. However, little did the eccentric and over-ambitious scientist know that when she created her Meteor Magnet and after completing it with Hank and Janet's electromagnet, she may have gone a dial too far as it appeared to be working too well.
After the magnet activated and fired a purple tractor beam into the sky, the Stufful Constellation was passing by Earth's orbit. It managed to avoid Deoxys and Rayquaza as they were once again locked in a territorial battle with each other but as it did so, Victoria's tractor beam managed to catch two of the meteors from it which were XO825 and XO826 (the supercharged meteors she had her eyes on for some time), stopping them in their tracks and slowly dragging them down to the planet much to her delight.
"Whoo-hoo! Bullseye, baby! I've locked onto the meteors and I'm bringing them in! Come to Mama! Yeah, that's right! Who's bad? Uh-huh, I'm bad! I did it, me: Victoria Vance! To all the haters out there who laughed at me and called me a 'mad scientist', 'In your face, bros! Who's laughing now?'."
Then, there was trouble; without warning, she and Della were startled as the eccentric scientist's computers raised an alarm and its screens blinked red, showing them that the meteors were coming in too fast for her Meteor Magnet to pull in safely.
"Uh-oh," she gulped before she saw her Meteor Magnet starting to splutter and spark from how unstable it was from the power it was putting out. "Oh, no! No, no... No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! The meteors, they're stronger than I expected! But, how?!"
Suddenly, the tractor beam grew weaker, and as a result, XO825 and XO826 broke free and they began to hurtle their way down to Earth at a fast rate as they began to pick up speed.
They were hurtling at so fast a rate that they immediately blazed past Rayquaza and Deoxys who finally saw the meteors and barely avoided getting hit by them, halting their territorial dispute for the time being. The Sky High and DNA Pokémon were startled by this as they saw the meteors heading towards Earth. Suddenly remembering the owner of its Pokémon Gem and realizing that she and everybody else with her could be in danger, Rayquaza swiftly went after the meteors, leaving Deoxys to stare at it in surprise as it made its way to Earth.
"Oh, no! Not cool, this is not cool! I'm running out of power! My Meteor Magnet's too unstable! It's in critical condition and its systems are red and rising!" Victoria cried in panic as she tried to get her invention under control but to no avail. "I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH POWER!"
No matter what she tried and how hard she worked on her invention, it continued to fizzle out and become even more unstable (while Della quickly took cover to prevent herself from getting hurt should the improvised super-magnet explode). Eventually, the electricity it gathered sparked violently before the Meteor Magnet suddenly cut itself off and the power went out, casting the observatory in pitch-black darkness with only the stars above as her light source.
"Okay, that...is not, good," she quipped worriedly as she and Della went up the stairs and they saw the meteors streaking their way towards Adventure City.
The danger factor was rising at a tremendous rate so much so that their presence alerted even the Teen Titans from Jump City with Robin noticing something wrong, forcing him to call his friends over to the hub room so they could be in the know of what was happening.
"What's up, Rob?"
"Is there an emergency waiting to be solved?" Cyborg and Starfire questioned.
"Worse, I'm tracking two meteors hurtling towards Earth at a fast rate," Robin replied, bringing up a map of the meteors' current trajectory. "And, they're heading for Adventure City."
"Hey, wait! Wasn't the Stufful Constellation meteor shower said to pass by there tonight?"
"Oh, no! There are a lot of people gathering in one spot where they can get a good view of the meteor shower!"
"That means those people watching the meteors are going to be in the way of them as we speak!" Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven gasped.
"And, not just them. By the looks of their flight paths, the meteors I'm picking up...…. Will be heading straight toward the PAW Patrol and Ultra Rescue towers at the heart of Adventure City. If that happens, they and everybody in them as well as around them will be destroyed," Robin added gravely as the Titans Tower's Supercomputer showed the meteors' trajectory leading them to the Adventure City towers.
Starfire gasped in horrified shock and even Raven was aghast as she only breathed, "NO!"
"Dudes! Adventure City would be toast by then! And, the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers will be gone forever, we gotta do something!" Beast Boy screamed as he flailed about frantically.
"Robin, we got to warn everybody! They've no idea about the meteors that are about to crash land at the party area!" Cyborg informed the leader.
"I'll contact Sarah as we make our way there. And, I have a feeling there will be others out there who want them if they have an interest in those meteors," Robin nodded in agreement. "Jump City will be fine given no criminals are popping up again so far so we should be in the clear to help the PAW Patrol and the Power Rangers. But, once we get there, stay sharp should there be anybody suspicious as we find out more about those meteors. Titans, go!"
With that, the Teen Titans rushed off to prepare for their trip to Adventure City.
Meanwhile, the heroes were all still waiting for the meteor shower before them and the rest of Adventure City. Even Tot, Mini, and Nano were trying to contain themselves as Tot was now the one counting the stars after the Poms resumed their count following everyone's moment of laughter.
"3,034, 3,035, 3036, 3,037, 3,038," he listed as he looked through the telescope just as Rubble and Fishlegs ate their snacks and the former gasped, seeing what they had all been waiting for.
"There it is!" the bulldog pup cheered as everybody gasped at the sight unaware that it was the meteors Victoria pulled down heading their way and not going past them and all of Adventure City as planned.
"I didn't think the meteor shower could be so bright," Skye admired.
However, Chase noticed something off as he could see what he and everybody else thought was the meteor shower approaching the city faster than anticipated, "It looks like those meteors are heading straight for us."
No sooner had he said that, however, that everybody heard something beeping from Sarah which is her Titans Communicator. Wondering what Robin and his friends would want to tell them about, the little princess pulled her communicator out from the left pocket of the vest she was wearing and answered the call.
"Hi, Robin, what's going on?" Sarah answered, seeing Robin appear on the screen as he was in the T-Sub with the other Teen Titans.
"Sarah, you and everybody else with you are in big trouble! We detected two large meteors from the Stufful Constellation heading for Adventure City!" Robin informed from inside his cockpit.
"Friends, you have to get to safety! If the meteors we're following are to reach your approximate location, they will go through your towers and hit the streets where the citizens are waiting to see the meteor shower!" Starfire added as she appeared on the screen from her cockpit.
The heroes all gasped in shock as they looked at each other and spluttered, "What?!"
"Not again!"
"After all this time?"
"No!"
"But, how?"
"That's impossible!"
"This can't be happening!"
"Ah!"
"How is this happening?"
"Impossible!"
"Unreal!"
"Oh, man!"
"Not cool!"
"Okay, Titans, how bad is it from what you're seeing up there?" Sarah gulped, wanting to know more from the Titans.
"Worse, you won't have much time before the meteors hit! You've got to evacuate yourselves and everybody else down below out of the area and fast!"
"Get them off the streets now and brace for impact! The meteors will be coming in at over 100 mph and the damage they do when they hit will be colossal!" Cyborg and Raven informed.
"Wait, if the meteors the Teen Titans are telling us about are on their way here in our direction..." Amelia gulped, not liking what they were all hearing.
"That's because...… THEY ARE!" Ryder cried in alarm as his Pup Pad immediately blared, recognizing the danger present. "Everybody, out of the towers immediately!"
"Everybody, log out and evacuate! ON THE DOUBLE!" Sarah screamed to her family, the Rakke Corp, her friends, and the Dino Fury Rangers.
"You heard the kids, let's move! Double time, double time, NOW! Move, move, move, move, move!" Phillip Baker, the Rakke Corp's chief of security, barked in agreement in military-commando fashion as Ryder and Sarah deployed the Rescue Ramps.
After they were deployed, the majority of the group slid down (or rolled in Angela's case given her wheelchair) the ramps while the dragons scrambled out via the Dragon Hanger. They had no time to lose as they also had to get the townsfolk out of the vicinity of the meteors' trajectory before they could cause injury and death to anybody in their path.
"Attention, everybody! Get to safety, a pair of meteors are about to crash on this very spot!"
"You need to get out of the street now and take cover!"
"Ryan, Angel, get all those people inside! Go, go, go!" Sarah, Chase, and Ryder exclaimed as they rushed to Ryan, Angel, and their police force.
"Chase, kids! What the devil's going on?" Ryan quizzed, flustered as the trio came to him before Cadence joined them.
"What's all the hub-up?" Angel questioned.
"Ryan, everybody, two meteors are on their way! We need to get you all to safety before they hit!" the Alaskan Malamute pup frantically spoke.
Ryan and Angel were shocked and even their police force could hardly believe it as Ryder jumped onto a car to spread the word, "Everybody, take shelter! Two meteors are heading down towards us!"
He pointed towards the meteors as he spoke and everybody including Mayor Goodway gasped in horror, forcing Ryan to take immediate action as he barked to his fellow officers, "Code Red, boys! Repeat, Code Red for meteor impact! Scramble, get everybody inside and off the streets! You too, Angel! All hands on deck, NOW!"
Angel and his crew didn't need telling twice; with no time to spare and as the people started to panic, they began escorting the townsfolk to any designated buildings (which had been closed for the meteor shower) around them that could shield them from the meteors when they hit the streets. Cadence used her Super Speed to move people into the buildings closest to them at blinding speed and the Viking Teens, their dragons, Stoick, Gobber, their Partner Pokémon, and the Rakke Corp worked diligently to help the people get to safety.
Even Marshall wasted no time helping in the evacuations as he, Tsukumaro, Rocky, Nikki, and James opened one of the nearby buildings to allow the people with them to take shelter in as he shouted, "Everyone, get inside! Inside, quickly!"
Mayor Goodway didn't waste any time as well, doing her best to protect Chickaletta (who had taken shelter in her purse to hide) as she flipped over a car hood and landed on her feet with incredible dexterity and agility while she joined the townsfolk.
"Get off the street! We don't have much time!" Skye called as she jumped onto a newspaper bin, watching the last of the townsfolk enter the now-open buildings closest to them.
"Clear!"
"Streets clear!"
"Clear, Sarah, Ryder!" Liberty, Rocky, and Marshall reported after all of the townsfolk had been safely secured.
"Great work, everybody! Now, take cover!"
"Find and use anything to shield you from the meteors! We don't care! Just use anything!" Ryder and Sarah nodded as everybody split into groups to find shelter for their respective parties.
With the Vikings of Berk, their Pokémon, and their dragons, they found a separate alleyway nearby and scrambled inside before they were joined by Willow, Flint, the Dino Fury team, and Solon (the two dragons having managed to escort their team to the same alleyway just in time). With Thunder, Wu and Wei, Feathers, Plowhorn, and Webs, they quickly scooped up their riders and their parents and went down another unoccupied alleyway.
As for the pups, while the majority of the PAW Patrol, the Cat Pack, the KRS, and the entire Dragonstone Patrol took cover underneath multiple parked cars, Rocky hid behind some mailboxes and Rubble hid himself in a nearby open car trunk (but not without closing the trunk door for added measure). This, however, doesn't bode well for Skye because as she was the smallest of her team, it meant she was also the slowest between herself and her friends.
Finally, Meteors XO825 and XO826 came into view and they crashed through both PAW Patrol and Ultra Rescue towers as they headed their way towards Skye. The pup in question turned and gasped in horror, seeing them coming towards her in balls of light, fire, and speed as they skidded along the ground, realizing that she couldn't hide from them without a little help.
"SKYE!" Sarah screamed as she and Ryder managed to rescue the little cockapoo (as the little princess managed to snag her in time moments after she froze) and they took cover behind a few more cars nearby just as they finally stopped.
The silence that followed was amazing; in the sea of wrecked cars and concrete debris with car alarms blaring left and right, the meteors stood still after their crash landing, prompting everybody to slowly come out of their hiding places and exercise extreme caution.
"Is everyone okay? Pups, Marshall, Chase?" Ryder called out, worried for his pups until they finally came out of their hiding places (with Chase comforting Cadence as she was greatly shaken up by the ordeal).
"I'm okay," Marshall began with a smile and without a scratch.
"I'm good," Rubble added as he popped over the door to the car trunk he was hiding in.
"Me, too, but I'm gonna need a serious bath later tonight," Zuma nodded as he shook off the dust and dirt that got onto his fur just as the Dragonstone Patrol, the KRS, and the Cat Pack emerged from their hiding places and joined the PAW Patrol.
"We're fine/Just peachy," Hiccup and Tom sighed with relief as he and their respective groups along with the Dino Fury team, Willow, and Flint came out of their alleyways.
At that moment, the T-Sub carrying the Teen Titans arrived on the scene, and joining the heroes from the heavens was Rayquaza as it arrived in Adventure City, looking over the wreckage before it circled and hovered in the air. The people of Adventure City, Sam, and Mayor Goodway looked on in awe and amazement as they bore witness to yet another Legendary Pokémon before them but one they heard of in their own times but had never seen before.
Sarah, still holding Skye in her arms, gasped as she saw the Sky High Pokémon and went over to it, "Rayquaza!"
"*Are you all alright, Princess?*" Rayquaza asked worriedly as Skye looked at it in surprise, her eyes widening with awe as the Teen Titans approached the heroes after disembarking the T-Sub.
"We're fine but we could've been roadkill had we not gotten everybody off the streets in time!"
"Hey! Sarah, guys! Are any of you hurt?" Robin called.
"We're okay, Mr. Robin! Thank goodness you and your friends made it!" Tsukumaro breathed as they and everyone else smiled, seeing the Teen Titans arriving to check up on everyone.
"Everyone okay?" puzzled Raven (Teen Titan).
"Barely escaped with our lives but thanks for the quick heads-up," Solon chuckled.
"Yeah, nice fast-track one-way call. We would've been toast had you guys not rang us up," smiled Izzy, sharing a high-five with Beast Boy just as Angela rolled over to her husband, her son, and Plowhorn and hugged them in relief.
"Phew! Oh, my goodness!" Sam coughed in disbelief, adjusting his glasses as he and everybody else realized how close they were to nearly being hit by the meteors if it weren't for the heroes sounding the alarm on time.
"Wait, Sarah, where are the Junior Patrollers?" Ryder said to Sarah, realizing that they and the other heroes were missing a few pups.
"Oh, no... I forgot about them! Nano, Mini, Tot? Rose, Buddha, Mud, B-Dawg, Budderball?" Sarah shouted, looking worried for her Poms and Buddies before they emerged from a few undamaged mailboxes.
"Whoa!"
"That was...EPIC!" the Poms cheered with Nano and Mini popping out from inside and Tot appearing from underneath the box.
"Is it over now?" gulped Budderball after he and his siblings poked out from behind the mailbox they were hiding behind one at a time.
"Yeah, it's over. Thank goodness you're all okay," Sarah nodded, hugging her eight Junior Patrollers in relief while Ryder, Ryan, and Angel smiled, sharing her sentiments.
"Yeah, we're just glad nobody got hurt," Ryder agreed.
"Oh, no... Guys, look!" Cadence gasped in stunned horror, directing everybody toward the Ultra Rescue and Adventure City towers which were now nothing more but total scorched wrecks.
"The Pup Tower and the Ultra Rescue Tower," Skye whimpered.
"They're completely destroyed... Our home," Chase grimaced.
"Our vehicles!"
"Everything... They're all gone," Zuma and Marshall added, realizing that not much from both towers could've survived.
"Oh, man...…"
"I can't believe it," gasped Ash and Lana.
"Is this how the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers felt when they lost the Command Center?"
"Yeah, and when the Turbo Rangers lost the Power Chamber years later," breathed a shocked Ollie and a crushed Kiawe.
"Big yikes..."
"Nasty," gulped Amelia and Izzy, not liking the sound of it from what they and their team recounted from the Legendary Ranger data given to them by the Ninja Steel Rangers' close friend and their old ally: Mick Kanic.
Naturally, Sarah, her friends, and her family were devastated by the loss of their tower like the PAW Patrol with theirs but there was a silver lining to it given their current circumstances; before the intended meteor shower, the little princess had the vehicles belonging to the Dragonstone Patrol, the Cat Pack, the Kitten Rescue Squad, and the Adventure City Rovers placed inside the Dragon Carrier HQ for Rev and Engine to look after so for her and her team, being victims of the tragic running theme of Power Rangers losing their Zords and Headquarters didn't hurt as much.
"...…Our, uh... Our apologies, mates."
"Wish we could do something to help but, you know what finances are like given corporate greed and those Republican clowns," Ryan and Angel apologized to the heroes, only getting sad headshakes from Ryder and Sarah as the two of them knew there was no hope of repairing the towers given their current catastrophic state.
But, there was no time to mourn over the loss of both towers because their attention and everyone else's was drawn towards the meteors. They were all stunned by what they saw but what really surprised everyone was the fact that the meteors were not only glowing in a bright blue light but they were giving off slow but steady rhythmic chiming sounds that sounded like live heartbeats.
"Whoa..." gasped Tom, D'Angelo, Eugene, and Alex in stunned awe as the heroes heard the heartbeat-like sounds.
"What are those meteors?" breathed a shocked Jun as she rubbed her eyes to make sure she was not dreaming.
"Are they...glowing a bright blue?" Angel added, noticing something different from the last two meteors the heroes came across.
"But, the last two meteors had a yellow glow on them," Braixen pointed out.
"Yuck, they sound like they're alive. Is there anything living inside them?" Prinplup grimaced as he stuck his tongue out after hearing the heartbeat-like sounds more clearly.
"Those little things did all of this?" Liberty gawked in disbelief.
"Sure did, little lady. At the speed they crash-landed at, I'm glad no more collateral and/or serious damage is done," Phillip commented.
"Yes," Rayquaza nodded grimly, having an uneasy feeling about the meteors as he eyed them suspiciously.
Then, Liberty, Ryder, and Sarah noticed the streetlights and the lights in the buildings dimming on and off in response to whatever energy the meteors were giving off, also realizing that there was something off about them and knowing what they had to do.
"By the looks of it, those meteors are giving off some strange energy pulses, and they're not like the meteors back at the Lookout in Adventure Bay and the jungle where Carlos and Tracker were, that's for sure. Let's get them out of here so we can find out what's going on," Ryder suggested.
"And, figure out who's responsible for pulling them down here and what they plan to do with them," Sarah added.
"We hope," Cadence prayed.
"From what Deoxys and I saw before I made my way here, they were both dragged down to Earth by some sort of purple beam. But, it suddenly lost power, and before we knew it, the atmosphere and gravity took over," Rayquaza suggested.
"But, what would somebody do with those meteors if they were able to pull them down to Earth and nearly hit you and Deoxys in the process, Rayquaza?" Skye questioned the Sky High Pokémon.
"There's only one way to close a baffling case supercharged unlike any other, my little cockapoo tamale: solve this mystery. And, these meteors and what the big dragon spilled to us are our next clues. Plus, SOMEBODY confessed to this disaster online via a live stream," Rotoscope answered on behalf of the powerful Dragon Type who nodded in agreement to the Rotom Phone's sentiments.
