By the time Bonnie met most of the pack, it was nighttime and time for her to go. She knew she had definitely missed her flight. Sorry, Elijah, but the spirits said, Enjoy Germany. Visit the food places and shop for all that.

She let one of the pack members take her home after promising she'd bring Klaus. Why they even want to see him is beyond her, but she loves the man, so who is she to judge?

Bonnie basically crawled up to her room, ready to shower and get some rest. Hopefully, she opened the door, and it was silent and dark with no signs of Lucy. Maybe she went to Elijah after I left. She walked out her door towards his room.

Bonnie rapped on Elijah's door, and he came to answer in a towel. Bonnie smiled at him while he frowned instead, worry in his eyes.

"Have you seen Lucy?" she asked

"Where were you?" he asked, looking at her for any signs of distress. Bonnie felt his eyes on her.

"I'm fine, I swear; I just ran into a far-off family member." She said she touched her body to emphasise her point. "See, no injuries," she said. Elijah nodded.

"So Lucy?" she said, motioning her hands.

"She'll come soon; our flight is in an hour," Elijah answered. Bonnie smirked and marched back to her room. She took a shower, and when she was out, Lucy was lying on the bed with a smile.

"Lucy," she teased. Lucy came up to her and held Bonnie still, searching her for signs of distress.

"Alright, mom," Bonnie said, pulling away from her.

"Don't Mom me, if it wasn't for this ring, I would have thought someone kidnapped you in this racist ass country." She said Bonnie laughed because she thought she was being kidnapped.

"You put data in our phones to communicate; why didn't you text?" She asked, and Bonnie went to her small bag and pulled out her phone. Lucy's eyes widen.

"You went without it?" She shouted, and Bonnie nodded.

"Where did you go?" she asked

"Can I change and sleep before I answer," Bonnie said

"Nope, we leave soon. Your dress will sleep on the plane." Lucy said Bonnie groaned.

"Well, unless you can get the plane delayed again," Bonnie shook her head. She wanted to be in New Orleans, and she missed the girls and her man.

"Well, stop complaining," Lucy said

"Why aren't you complaining?" she asked, taking out her clothes. "You seem mighty chipper, and there is a twinkle in your eyes." Lucy rolled her eyes.

"My eyes always have a twinkle in them." Lucy huffed, and Bonnie laughed

"But it is brighter now," Bonnie said Lucy remained silent. "Fine, I'll tease the hell out of you when we are at the airport," Bonnie sang

"Fine, me and Elijah, have sex, you happy," Lucy exclaimed

"Nope, you should have said it sooner," Bonnie said, pushing her shoulder.

"Please, you already knew, plus you're going to hell for not telling me." Lucy said, "All I got was that I don't mind what you do; you would lose your mind behind that man." She frowned, and she prayed he didn't hear them.

"Well, I wasn't warned either," she giggled. Lucy threw one of the small pillows at Bonnie.

"That's beside the point; how do I move on after?" she said

"Bold of you to assume you can move on." Bonnie said, "Elijah doesn't sleep with just anybody; his brothers can do the seduction for him." Bonnie said, thinking of Klaus's brother; she remembered that she needed to make contact with him soon.

"So you've gotten me to join your cult," Lucy said. The chatter didn't die between the two women until they reached the airport to depart.

Bonnie backed into Lucy, who was behind her, as she waited for the hostess to approve her tickets. Lucy was already approved but decided to stay with her cousin instead of her lover.

"What is it?" Lucy asked, poking her head in front of Bonnie. She shook her head and looked at Elijah, who was getting their bags checked, and then she looked at Lucy.

"Oh, I thought I saw some cobwebs," she answered. Lucy gave her a strange look.

"Where the hell would cobwebs appear from?" Lucy asked her, confused, looking for signs of the culprit.

"You should know you're an expert in cobwebs," Bonnie said. Lucy repeated what she said to herself. She looked at Bonnie with slits.

"Remember, the last time you had to clean out cobwebs, you called some simpleton to do it, and he just ended up knocking some more into place," Bonnie said with a smile, and Elijah looked over to the two.

"I'm never talking to you again," Lucy said, walking away from her. Bonnie laughed; she didn't even get to show her the hickey that Elijah had on her shoulder. She shook her head and turned her head back to the woman with her passport.

"I'm hungry, are you?" Lucy said, holding onto Bonnie as they headed out of terminal.

"I thought you weren't talking to me anymore," Bonnie said, Lucy rolling her eyes.

"You didn't even let me tell you about that thought just below your shoulder." Bonnie laughed seeing her top now changed.

"Girl, if you heard my scream when I went to use the bathroom, and that man just smirked when I walked," Lucy said

"Well, did you provoke him?" Bonnie asked teasingly

"Ladies, follow Mr. Prince while I get our package moving," Elijah said, coming behind them and a short man behind him. She swore she saw her cheeks turn red, but she glared at the vampire.

"I can't wait to meet Klaus; this feels so one-sided," Lucy said

"You'll be the first to tease me," Bonnie said. Lucy raised her eyebrows at her but dismissed it and went her way.

"You girls get settled, and we can relax until you're ready for the spell," Elijah told them, taking their luggage from the car. Bonnie stood and admired the ancient stone building, feeling its magic wafting off it. It reminded her of the plantation her ancestor was burned in. except this reminded her of the

"You think we can go into town and maybe do a bus tour?" Lucy squealed next to her.

"There is no need for a bus tour; I've lived here for a while," Elijah said. Of course he did.

"Really?' Lucy asked him, and he nodded.

"When me and Niklaus fell out, I needed a place to hide, and I didn't think he would come here," Elijah said. "We all have a place we prefer to be when we need to hide." He continued

"Why would you need to hide? you're immortal." Lucy said, looking at Elijah confusedly.

"He means to hide from Klaus or before Mikael." Bonnie answered for him, "They may be immortal, but they can still be touched." Bonnie said that, walking away from the two to enter the house, she touched the walls, connecting to the home and the nature around it.

"When was this built?" Lucy asked, coming with a look on her face,

"Originally, it was just land and had a small cottage, and that was in the 1300s, and then I had it destroyed and rebuilt before we left for New Orleans," Elijah said

"How were you in so many places at once?" Bonnie asked, "You were a boat every month?"

"No, but I compelled vampires and humans and then made them forget or dispose of them," Elijah said. Bonnie nodded.

"Let's share a room; I don't think I can sleep alone here," Lucy said.

"Come on, it is not that bad." Bonnie teased Lucy, who has a fearful look on her face.

"Fine, you can be my cuddle buddy," Bonnie said, rolling her eyes. Lucy took her hands into hers, and they explored the home together. After that, the girls rested, and then Lucy had the inspiration to cook. So Bonnie sat by the kitchen island with a spell book open while Lucy sang to Destiny's children, and Elijah was somewhere around, hopefully brooding.

"What are you reading so intensely?" Lucy asked, Bonnie jumped, Lucy was right next to her sitting, and the music turned down.

"Well?" she asked, her eyes sliding across the page. "ancestors well? I don't think that would be a good idea." Bonnie shook her head and smiled.

"Bennett witches don't need an ancestor; well, we already have the other side," she said. "Only Bennetts, who are not there, are the ones who found peace."

"so why the spell," Lucy asked

"I'm studying it so I can know how to unravel it, but the witch who created it thought it out," Bonnie said. "To break it apart, it'll have to be a witch willing to do it on the inside." She frowned

"Why would you want to destroy it?" Lucy asked, but she hesitated. Bonnie sighed

"Revenge for the family," she told Lucy about how Bennett settled in New Orleans, mostly hidden, helping the indigenous people and hiding from the world. They were eventually found out by a witch who enlisted their help to make the ancestors well, and after that, they thought they were fine until they woke one night to their home on fire, but the house wasn't burning, the fire was burning their skins, and they were unable to practise their magic. When they evacuated their homes, they were sold as slaves to rich white folks who needed witches.

"I understand why you would want revenge but Bonnie I'm sure no one is willing to help you," Lucy said. Bonnie had a disapproving look on her face, but she nodded.

"I've been thinking about that, but they might be someone unlike witches on the other side; the New Orleans ancestors cannot find peace and move on; their souls are stuck there forever; they can be forgotten but never move on," Bonnie said

"Do you think they were more consecrated witches who were slaves who would want to leave and help us in the hope of moving on?" Lucy asks.

"No, 'cause I can't guarantee they'll find peace," Bonnie said honestly, and Lucy sighed

"So we'd be dooming everyone," Lucy said. "We just have to find the right pawn," Bonnie said yes, popping the p.

"all is well in love and war," Elijah said, coming in.

"Do you know anything about privacy?" Bonnie said, turning around to glare at him. Lucy got up to check her pot.

"Even if I wasn't using my vampire, hearing your voice jumps off these walls," Elijah answered.

"Bonnie, be nice," Lucy said, watching her through the slit of her eyes." remember what you said," Bonnie sighed

"Yes, but it doesn't apply here; I don't have to get along with them all." She answered Lucy.

"What are you cooking, Lucy?" Elijah asked, changing the subject.

Bonnie got up and left the room with her spell book; she was only there because Lucy didn't want to be left alone in any room of the house. She swore that she'd be taken away if she was alone. Which made no sense to Bonnie because she was a witch, but she entertained her cousin. Now she wanted to call the girls and maybe even Klaus, but there was no kind of service out here.

It's not that she didn't want to get along with Elijah; she just wanted to see how he treated Lucy romantically, and then maybe they could groove into some kind of relationship. She just doesn't know how to move on. She wishes she could see her mom one more time to get some closure, but if she's been alive all these months and her mom hasn't reached out to her, maybe that's all the closure she needs. Her mom is happy to carry out her immortal life without ever building a relationship with her daughter.

Bonnie stepped outside, her shadow illuminated by the waning moon. Is she looking at the moon too? Does she think of me when she sees it? Does she think of me at all? Bonnie felt a tear slide down her cheek. She wiped it away, but it didn't stop; she was swiping away on her face until she just gave up and let the sobs come, crying for her mother, her love, a love that was only given to her by her grandparents and never Abby. Bonnie's body trembled as she leaned against the stone wall, which bruised her skin.

She stayed there for a while crying, until her nose burned, her throat was sore, and her eyes burned. She looked up to the moon again and then went into the house, hearing Lucy's giggle, which caused her to smile. She went upstairs to shower and change.

Bonnie nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw Freya on the bed.

"I'm not really here," Freya said hastily. Bonnie nodded slowly and came closer to touch, and her hand went through.

"Why are you here?" Bonnie asked, and Freya studied Bonnie; her eyes were red, and she looked defeated.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" Freya said, putting aside the reason she needed to see Bonnie. She looked exhausted, and her eyes were red.

Bonnie sighed, holding back her tears barely. She thought the crying was done, but when she got into the shower, she cried again.

"How did you move on from Esther?" Bonnie asked her, while sitting on the bed, to face her.

Freya's face softened, and she immediately understood; she wasn't sure what happened, but she knew Bonnie and her mom didn't have a good relationship. She touched her own face before answering Bonnie.

"I literally lost hope—hope in her and hope in my freedom—and I didn't get it back until I met her again." Freya said, "Over the years, my hatred for my mom grew for giving me away without care or trying to fight for me." She closed her eyes.

"I felt so angry that when I saw her die, my soul smiled. cause she died from the very hands she pushed me towards," Freya said, looking at Bonnie, who was disheartened. Her answer didn't help her. So she changed her approach a bit.

"I think you just need to let go of the idea of who you want her to be and accept her at face value for what she showed you." Freya said, "A conniving bitch who doesn't want to be in her daughter's life, I don't know why, cause honestly, you're an amazing person, and you literally made my life better." Freya admitted. Bonnie shook her head.

"You can't tell me how I feel, Bonnie. It's true that if she ever got to know you, she would love and appreciate you as much as I do, and don't think about your old friends that never did," Freya said. "They were ungrateful because if I had you by my side always, I would make sure you never had to suffer or sacrifice yourself or your morality."

"Your family has been doing that for centuries," Bonnie pointed out.

"You're different from that because you're my friend; I have part of you," she said, raising her bracelet, and "you have part of me." she said, gesturing to her heart.

"I want to hug you," Bonnie said, her voice cracking. Freya nodded because she felt the same; Bonnie had become one of her favourite people in the world over the past few months.

"Where is your cousin?" Freya asked. Bonnie rolled her eyes.

"She's with Elijah." Bonnie smiled

"Another Bennett with my brother?" Freya said she was shocked. Bonnie nodded.

"Are you okay with that?" Freya said

"It depends on Elijah," Bonnie said. Freya nodded. She knew that Elijah and Bonnie were at odds, but she wasn't sure why with Rebekah it was just pure bitchiness, but with Elijah, he was always the favourite.

"Are you ever going to tell me why you don't like him?" Freya asked,

"Remember I told you how my mom became a vampire?" Bonnie asked, and Freya nodded.

"Your brother gave the order," Bonnie said. Freya sighed, and she reached out to Bonnie. She understood now why she was thinking of her mom; her mood swings whenever Elijah is around. Her hand fell through Bonnie, and she reached for her.

"It's okay; I just need to move on so I don't think of bursting every vessel in his body," Bonnie said. Freya laughed. Would she even stop Bonnie if she tried? She wasn't sure. So many things have blurred since Bonnie came into her life.

"My time is up, but we have to talk soon," Freya said as she felt the spell wearing off.

"But you didn't," Bonnie started.

"It is okay; it's not that important." Freya dismissed. As Freya disappeared, Lucy walked in

"Bonnie." Lucy came into the room, peeping.

"Yeah," she answered quietly.

"Are you okay?" Lucy asked.

"Don't tell me you're not sleeping with me anymore," Bonnie said sadly.

"What no, I've barely known that man. I do want to fuck him again, but you come first." Lucy said firmly, "I asked to cause you to sound sad, plus you have been up here so long." Lucy said

"Yeah, I'm okay," Bonnie said, dressing. Lucy came near her and gave her a shoulder hug.

"I love you, Bonnie, and I'll kill the bitch that has you crying," Lucy said gravely to her. Bonnie laughed at her. Bonnie turned her head to look to the side of Lucy's face.

"Are you okay?" she asked Lucy, and she nodded.

"Let's go exploring tomorrow, and then we complete the spell and go home," Lucy said. Bonnie agreed. It'll be good to go out for a while. So much happened this trip; Kai is gone, and with it some of the anger she had. Now the anger she felt was towards her old friends, Elijah and her mom.

It was time for her to put that anger; these were people she couldn't get revenge on or people who regretted their actions. So sitting and dwelling on this would just turn her bitter, and she had nothing to be bitter about; she had a family, a man who could literally give her the world, and the best friends she could ask for, and all of them wanted to help her accomplish her goals.
