"So... Students as i was saying it's so ni... nice to meet you all...(cough)" professor dumbledore was speaking... trying to speak moreover.
It has been two weeks since harry and Hermione gone out and looked around the town with ron and Ginny.
They become quite close with their classmates after that.
Ron, Hermione, Harry, ginny, Dean, seamus, Astoria, Neville, pansy, Draco and luna are thick of friends now.
They formed a whatsapp group and gone out for a group trip as it was a weekend.
Harry and hermione are so happy, for getting new friends... ron is the most close to both of them now among the others.
Reaching early morning all the students were assembled in the meeting hall, because the headmaster wanted to meet his lovely students after returning from his world tour.
Hermione was sitting between ginny and luna now, pansy on the right to luna and astoria to the left of ginny.
The boys were all sitting together at the back.
She observed harry maintaining a non friendly approach to draco, she don't know why.
Maybe it could because ron doesn't like draco so much or it could be the reason he is the boyfriend of ginny weasley.
If it is the latter, she may wanted to have a talk with her childhood best friend.
"I really missed you lot...I see there is new face...(cough) among the group. It's alright i will see you guys later personally".
"As of this year, two weeks have passed and i see no problems except some boys sticking janitor flich's morphed nude pictures in the toilets and the staff room.
Flich grunted in the corner of the hall. Everyone laughed.
"Yeah... That was funny..."
He rolled his eyes.
"By the way... i think it is so late to announce who is our head boy for this year and I like to do it now".
Some of the seniors and juniors on the other side started to shout "Viktor... Viktor... Viktor..." more like chanting.
Nearby her ginny, astoria and luna squealed and started talking in whispers, pansy just rolled her eyes.
"Who is viktor" hermione asked to ginny curious.
"Oh... my god hermione... you don't know viktor krum" astoria asked looking her up and down like she came from another planet.
"It's alright... We'll tell you. He is the most handsome, most rich, more muscular young man, who comes every night into every girls dreams, shortly a dream boy" ginny said beaming, her cheeks red.
Pansy scoffed "Seriously".
"He is not just that, he is an proud asset to our school, he dances well, he sings well, he is the basket ball champion of last year... ron is a big fan of him...actually mental for him".
Both ginny and hermione laughed at that.
"Now... Let's welcome krum" headmaster said.
Just then the door opened and a guy true to Ginny's words came running inside.
He was handsome, muscular, he smiled and waved at everyone.
Girls hummed in appreciation, some of the guys stood and shouted his names, ron was among them.
He stood up smiling, clapping his hands and chanting "Viktor... Viktor".
Viktor ran straight to the stage, hugged dumbeldore and waved his hands towards everyone.
Dumbeldore sticked a badge to his chest, which read Headboy.
He bowed to him and stood to speak through the mic "Hey fellas... I'm not gonna watch you like eagle or something but just an advice use that old bathroom to a minimum please" he said.
The juniors didn't understood a word, while the senior girls blushed and the boys cheered.
The professors shook their heads in disappointment.
"And... Thank you for this opportunity, i assure you headmaster, like last year, i will make you proud sir" he said and dumbeldore pat him on the back.
"Thank you everyone" he said and looked around, he looked for some moments firmly towards her direction and turned around to step down the stage. Did he looked at me Hermione thought curiously, it seemed like that way.
"Is it just me or do you feel viktor just stared at you" ginny asked whispering and hermione don't know what to say.
"... and if you just would have came to my house to learn something instead of going to harrys to play useless video games, you could have now avoided professor snapes punishment assignments". Hermione said with an authority.
"And become like you, practically in relationship with books?... I'm sure you're going to marry one of those books in the library after graduation". Ron said smirking.
"Oh...You" hermione turned around fuming and pointed her finger accusingly at his nose.
"Oh...You..." Ron said mimicking her.
Harry groaned in irritation.
Ever since they all started getting close friends and know each other, ron and Hermione always bicker with each other, like an old married couple for reasons that are childish.
Sometimes it makes people around them laugh or groan in irritation, harry is one among the latter.
It didn't seriously an argument though, two minutes later they can be seen whispering something into other's ears and laughing with each other... like now. He seriously doubted is this going somewhere.
"Will you two just stop... I'm getting sick of this already" harry said with his head in his hands.
They looked at him guiltily and muttured "Sorry" at the same time.
They were now sitting in the canteen, eating their lunch, the schedules are changed... so now Hermione is to attend her class of McGonagall with pansy, luna and Ginny.
"You are right... I'm sorry harry... we shouldn't fight" she said to ron.
Ron smiled "it's my fault...I didn't listen to you in the first place".
They both smiled at each other and harry saw some kind of tension there.
Hermione stood "I'm going to my class... see you two after that" and walked away.
Ron looked at the direction she went before turning to harry. He was looking at him with a knowing smile.
"Are you ever going to say it to her" he asked and ron looked at him puzzled.
"Say...What?"
Harry rolled his eyes "Ron i know. I have eyes, i can see you know".
"What are you on about".
"I know you liked her and i think she likes you too, as per my experience"
"What?...woah. It's not what you think mate. She is a good friend, im sure she doesn't look me that way"
"If you say so"
"I'm serious mate. She and i are such good friends and what is that you're experience".
"Oh, we kissed once when we were sixteen" harry smirked, he was sure ron would get jealous and that atleast make him realise his feelings.
Harry stood hung his bag over his shoulders and started walking to the next class.
"Woah... hey, i didn't finished talking with you... wait" ron took his bag and started to run to join with him for their class together.
It was after the class, Hermione, ginny, Pansy and luna were in front of their lockers in the corridors.
Taking in books for the next class, they have given the test papers, in which Hermione is the top scorer in the class.
Beating lavender brown who was always first in the class before her.
Ginny was laughing unstoppable, she enjoyed the look on Leander's face, when Hermione become the first.
Since then she was going on and one praising her for her first place, saying something of 'creating history'.
Lavender and her sidekicks parvathi and padma behind her walked upto them.
"I see...someone is so happy".
They all turned and looked at lavender "Oh hi lavender" Ginny said smirking, which made lavender to glare at her.
"Laugh all you want because this will be the last time".
"Oh, come on lavender. It's just a test... It's nothing serious". Ginny said.
"I know what it is, don't you dare advice me... It's not like you pay money here, probably begged the headmaster".
Ginny glared.
"Atleast... she had some knowledge to secure herself a scholarship" hermione said pointedly at lavender.
"Oh just because you beat me in a simple test, you think yourself as above everyone... are you highness".
"Maybe, she is... what are you going to do, paint your face some more with those ugly girl stuff" pansy said mockingly pointing at lavenders handbag which consists of several make up kit.
Ginny, hermione and luna laughed, lavender and the girls were ready for a cat fight, that's when viktor interrupted.
"Hey ladies...I don't think, it's a good idea to give the people a free show of cat fight".
They all tunred to see viktor was standing there "Fine... for now" lavender said glaring at the three girls, who glared right back and walked away.
" Thank you Viktor" ginny said beaming.
"It's not a big thing" he waved his hand and looked at Hermione.
"Hermione Granger, right" he asked.
"Er, yeah" hermione said.
"I watched you at library often... but never had time to talk before, I'm viktor" he said and held out his hand.
She shook it "yeah I know" the whole campus knows actually, she thought.
"You look so beautiful and i like to be your friend... if you don't mind can i have your number" he asked hopeful.
"Uh..." She looked around, everyone one looking at them, boys some smiling some jealous and girls all glaring at her, also jealous.
Her face become hot, with all staring, ginny squeezed her hand "Come on, Hermione. What are you doing, give it" she whispered in her ear, but she still stayed silent.
Ginny tsked and turned to Viktor "I'm sorry, she was just you know? Surprised!" she said, giggling and he smiled.
"I'll give you her number, I'm sure she doesn't mind" He took her number "I'm going to save your number as beautiful, if you don't mind" Hermione nodded still in shock to know how to react.
"Thanks, I'll see you around" with that he walked past them.
Ginny squealed and jumped happily "Ah... hermione! I think he is interested in you and did you see how he..." With that ginny started rambling.
"Why would you give him my number?" She asked the red head hotly, after coming out of shock
"Oh, shut up. I know you want to... you were surprised like me anyway"
"Er...Yeah, sure" was the only words from Hermione's mouth. She don't know why but felt she didn't want ron to know this or even harry for that matter, who eventually tells ron.
