"So where should we go first?" Nami asked her captain as all the other straw hats looked at him.
With a wide smile, Luffy said this.
"No clue!"
Everyone immediately face faulted onto the deck.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Zoro yelled, eyes blank and teeth sharpened like shark teeth.
"You give an amazing speech, and you have no clue on where we should go next?!" Nami also roared.
"Don't blame me! When have we ever had a chance to just relax without facing anyone?!" Luffy snapped back.
Everyone was silent but they realised that Luffy had a point.
"Luffy speaks true. None of us really had a chance to properly relax since we went on this journey." Jimbei agreed with a nod.
"So, what should we do then?" Usopp asked.
Luffy got into a thinking position as he contemplated his next move.
"Maybe...we should eat!" Luffy said with a large grin.
Everyone sweatdropped. Count on Luffy thinking about food.
"No chance, Luffy.' Sanji said with a puff of smoke. 'I checked the stores. We're shit out of food."
"WHAT?!" Luffy yelled before he went to his hands and knees in depression, a dark cloud appearing over his head.
"No fair...I can't think on an empty stomach!" He whined.
"Hey guys?" Usopp said from the crow's nest.
"I think I can see something up ahead." He replied as he pointed to the distance.
Curious, Robin took out a spyglass to get a better view of where he was pointing.
"He's right. There is an island up ahead." She confirmed before zooming in closer. 'Hang on...I think it's a city. There is a multitude of buildings up ahead. And a harbour."
"Oh my, I also see some fog with my own eyes. Which is strange as I have no eyes! YOHOHOHOHO!" Brook spoke.
"Yo Nami. Anything on those maps about any cities here?" Zoro asked.
Getting out a few maps, she saw what she was looking for.
"Found it. And Robin's right. There is a city." She said.
"Really?" Luffy asked as he stretched his head over to the map.
"Yeah. Seems to be called one name only." She said as they passed a sign.
On it, it read three words.
"WELCOME TO LONDON."
The Thousand Sunny docked by the harbour and got onto the floor, each one looking around their surroundings.
"Eesh, is it always this cold?" Zoro asked as he felt the chill in the air.
"Well, considering how most of them aren't bundled up, they must be used to it." Sanji spoke as he saw few people walking in fine suits.
Chopper had to hold his nose when he took a sniff.
"Urgh, what's that smell?!" He yelped as he ran in a panic.
Luffy had to agree.
"Yeah, it smells like crap. Literally!"
Robin looked around and had to grimace.
"Maybe it has to do with the dirty streets?" She said as she pointed at the dirty streets.
"Seriously? Is hygiene not a thing?" Sanji retorted.
"And why the hell is it so noisy?!" Franky exclaimed as he heard honking and yelling in the distance.
"What I wanna know is why the World Government didn't seem to know about this place? I mean, it is here on the Grand Line."
"You blokes wanna know?"
Turning, they saw a grizzled dock worker in blue overalls placing a box down and lit a cigarette, taking a whiff of smoke.
"It's because of the ripper." He said.
"The who?"
"A deadly serial killer, right here in London. People don't know who he is or where he come from. But he has a bloody kill count high as some of those poncy pirates in the east." He said.
"You have a serial killer here?!" Nami, Usopp and Chopper yelled in fear.
"Yeah. At night, blokes say he stalks the streets of London, looking for his next target. No one knows why he does what he does, but let me tell you, he is skilled in it and let me tell you...it ain't pretty."
The worker took a seat as he sighed.
"Few years back, some marine arseholes tried to set a base here. Their lead officer was a right cunt, but he and a few officers went out in the middle of the night like fucking drunkards."
His eyes lowered as he then remembered the night.
"That was when it happened."
The dock worker had glared at the Marines and their captain as they drunk like fools and laughed like hyenas, much to the irritation of the other patrons.
"Man, I don't know why we didn't set up shop here earlier! These idiots are easily controlled!" One said with a flushed face.
"HAHAHA! That's right! The head admirals are going to give me a promotion for sure!" The captain said as they got up and staggered out of the bar.
"HEY! WHERE'S MY DAMN MONEY!?" The owner yelled.
"Screw you! We're marines!" The captain said as they went off.
"Why you!" The owner growled as he grabbed a crowbar and went after them. The dock worker followed, just to make sure he doesn't go in over his head.
That was when they came across the grizzly sight.
Two of the marines had been slashed open, and the captain plus final marine were looking around for whoever did this.
The final Marine soon felt his throat get slashed as numerous knives fell onto his back.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" The captain yelled.
That was when he heard it.
"Right behind you."
Turning around, the captain was suddenly brutally stabbed many times by an unknown assailant, with him yelling before the man cut his throat open. He then fell forward as the unknown man walked away.
The tavern owner and dock worker paled at the sight as the only thing they saw...
...was a red coat.
"Was that...?" The tavern owner said lowly.
"The infamous Ripper."
All the Straw Hats were enthralled by the tale.
"This guy...How has he not been captured?!" Nami had to yell.
"That brutal attack? They tried again and all ended the same way. Dead on the floor." The worker said with a sigh as he put out the cigarette.
"If I were you, I won't stay out in the night. And for you ladies?' He looked at Nami, Robin, Carrot and Yamato with a stern yet critical look. 'Stay out of the streets. The ripper tends to prefer women as his targets." He said before going back to work.
With that, the pirates were silent, except for Sanji, who had a murderous flame surrounding him.
"HE BETTER NOT LAY A HAND ON THE GIRLS, OR I WILL SLOW ROAST HIM OVER A SLOW FLAME!" He roared.
"OK...creepy warning aside.' Nami said as she knocked out Sanji with a punch. 'Let's find a place to stay and get some supplies. We shouldn't try to stay here for long if a deranged maniac is here." She said.
"Right!"
Soon all of them went to explore the city, while keeping an eye out for the mysterious killer.
Unknown to them, standing in an alley, a mysterious face had watched them.
"Gracious. New faces in London. And four delightfully ravishing maidens."
A glint shown in the alley.
"I wonder if they have any red?"
Hey guys! Sorry for the wait. I had an EXTREMELEY tough time choosing which of the Einhejar should go first.
In the end, in the spirit of halloween, I chose Jack the Ripper, the infamous serial killer of London.
Anyways, welcome to the Blood City Streets Arc's first chapter where the Straw Hats arrive in London and get a warning about Jack. Next time is the Straw Hats exploring the city, all the while Jack is stalking them to get an understanding of the new arrivals.
Hope you enjoy!
(PS. Some reason, the second chapter showed the arcs list)
