(Francisco's House)

As Francisco was in the kitchen cooking dinner, he heard the truck pull up and he decided to get things ready. Meanwhile, Goodra turns it off, the truck was old so it had to be locked manually; he jumps out and turns to lock it, giving an unknown figure a chance to drug him. Wondering why Goodra is taking so long, Francisco goes out; only to find that the truck's door is still open.

Francisco: "Goodra? Where did you go?"

He takes another step and gets tangled up by leaves before getting gagged and blindfolded, the last thing Francisco saw was a Carnivine taking him to a van where Goodra was also tied up.

(On the rooftop of a building downtown.)

Grace looks over the skyline with a telescope pointed towards Team Rocket Laboratories.

"Eevee." She said with a laptop showing 4 pictures of the rings, Eva highlighted one of them looking through the rings to see a window in the background.

Grace: "What is it, Eva?"

Eva then enhanced the image which shows another building next to it facing their direction. Grace adjusted the telescope again, looking through it to find their window.

Grace: "Bingo. Eva switched to live feed and zoom in, I'll keep it centered."

"Eevee." She zooms in and switches it to live feed while also turning on the movement scanner.

"Ee." Grace stops and looks over to the laptop, the screen shows that there are multiple mechanical devices set up in the room, but there's no movement going on.

Grace: "Now that we know where, the question is now what?"

Eva's necklace glows green and she evolves into a Leafeon, with vines appearing behind her. "Leafeon."

Grace: "No, it's too dangerous."

"Leafeon."

Grace: "Are you insane? Please, I have never seen you climb the side of a building before."

"Lea…"

Grace: "Plus how are you going to get in, anyway?"

"Leafeon?" She said, showing her some rather sharp thorns on one of the vines. Grace just sighs at Eva's persistence.

Grace: "Fine, but please be careful for me."

(Francisco's House)

Eclipsa and Snivy look through the footage of the doorbell camera, watching Francisco get dragged into a van gets a frightened "eek" out of Snivy. Leo walked over to them, letting them know that they were ready.

Leo: "Now remember, when they call you, you need to keep them on for as long as you can. It is also important that you don't let them think that we're here, we are not here. Got it?"

Eclipsa nodded. Electabuzz gives the thumbs up from a nearby computer as someone gives her a clipboard with a list of questions. The clock turns from 1:59 pm to 2:00 pm and the home phone rings, she picks up the phone and Electabuzz gets to work. She gulps nervously, her hands shaking.

Eclipsa: "Hello."

Phone: "Hello Eclipsa. I've noticed that you have a PokTube channel and I'm quite impressed, so you're a smart woman."

Eclipsa: "Are they ok?"

Phone: "Of course they're ok."

Eclipsa: "I need to speak with them."

Phone: "Why does it matter? If they are okay now, what's stopping us from killing them once we finish our conversation."

Eclipsa: "Just tell me what you want."

Phone: "We want the location of Lugia."

Eclipsa: "I-I…"

Leo gestures to her to keep going, but she doesn't know what to say; should she lie or tell him that she doesn't know where Lugia is.

Phone: "You have one hour to decide."

Eclipsa: "No No No Wait!"

He hangs up and Electabuzz loses connection, Leo walks over to see that the map has narrowed down to a business center.

Leo: "We didn't get it, but it's close enough."

Eclipsa: "What if you don't get to them in time."

Leo: "I'm sorry, but we will try our best, I promise."

Leo gathered a few officers out the door as they went. Eclipsa looked around, frustrated by the situation, not knowing what to do. She turns her attention to the backyard overlooking the city, where the 2 Charizards are holding each other intimately. Noticing her gaze, Max decided to check on her and Snivy, and the other Charizard followed. "Charizard?"

Eclipsa: "It's bad, but they said that Francisco and Goodra will be rescued soon."

"Charizard." Max said while walking up to the Electabuzz with the computer; however, the computer screen started glitching out and it started to overheat. Electabuzz starts trying to fix it by typing in a code, but the computer starts sparking and catches fire, burning Electabuzz's hands. Milotic used Splash to take the fire out as her trainer used a fire extinguisher. "Snivy?" She asked Electabuzz to which he shrugged. The phone rings again and Eclipsa picks it up.

Eclipsa: "Hello."

"Now that the majority of the police left, bring Lugia to Memorial Plaza in a large transport vehicle, there will be a van there to drop them off. All you have to do is standby it, and no cops."

He hung up again and Eclipsa lowered the phone, thoughts racing through her head. Snivy hugs her arm to comfort each other as the other Charizard begins whispering to Max. Eclipsa looked over, curious about what they were saying.

Eclipsa: "What are you two thinking?"

She stops as they look up to her, then nods at each other. "Charizard." They both said.

(???)

Francisco wakes up tied to a chair, he tries to move but his arms are tied behind him; he looks down and notices a puddle of slime under his chair and he then realizes that his legs are tied to Goodra's tail. He turns his head to see from the corner of his eye that Goodra is also tied up in a chair behind him.

Francisco: "Hey, Goodra, wake up. Please wake up."

"Goa…" Goodra mumbled, trying to wake but his eyelids felt too heavy to do so. Francisco looks over again to see an IV and a plastic tube connected to Goodra's arm. A door opens, a person wearing a skull face, and a Carnivine walks in; Francisco struggles more.

Francisco: "What are you doing to him?!"

Man: "He's fine, we just can't have him using his powers to break you guys out."

Francisco: "Just what do you want from us anyway?"

Man: "It's not about what we want, it's about what we were offered."

Francisco: "Name your price, I'll double it."

Man: "Do you have 24 thousand in your account? Actually, don't even answer, we both know that you don't."

Francisco: "Listen, just please don't hurt Goodra, he's not a threat."

Man: "I suggest that you two get comfortable, it seems like you'll be here for a while."

The man leaves and Carnivine checks the IV to make sure it's operating before leaving as well. Goodra moaned weakly, Francisco looked around and came up with an idea; he shifted his weight moving the chair a bit.

Francisco: "Goodra, can you hear me? I need you to shift your weight with me."

"Gu?"

Francisco: "Listen, I need you to lean right while I lean left, then lean the other way to stop the IV from pumping anymore of that drug, got it?"

Goodra nodded and they tried several times before failing; on their last try, Goodra pushed his tail to the floor and they fell to their side while knocking over the IV. With gravity now going in reverse, Goodra's blood fills the tiny tube before stopping at the bag of water; he pulls on the vines while trying to move his tail.

Francisco: "Take as much time as you need, hopefully, the effects will rare off soon."

(Team Rocket Laboratories)

At the bottom of the tower, Eva looks up examining it. She launches a vine up but it doesn't go far; Eva then notices a Combee buzzing around. "Leafeon."

The Combee turned to face her as Eva sprouted a vine with flowers, they buzzed with excitement.

"Leafeon." Eva tilted her head upward towards the tower.

"Combee." They said, taking a vine and flying to the top. Once there, they look around and find a radio antenna to which they wrap the vine before coming back down. "Combee."

Eva tugged on the vine making sure that it was secure, she nodded and sprouted more flowers for the Combee. She wraps herself up while taking a few steps back, she takes some slow and deep breaths, wondering if there's a better option. But that has passed; she secures the bag that wrapped around her body and makes a run for it, jumping on a dumpster lid, leaping into the air, and then landing on the wall. Realizing that nothing bad has happened, she begins climbing up.

Meanwhile, Grace is still on the rooftop with the telescope; she watches through a pair of binoculars as Eva climbs her way up. Martin and Ampharos walk up to her with curiosity, Grace turns to face them.

Martin: "Hello Grace, where's Eva?"

Grace: "How about you see for yourself"

She said, handing him the binoculars; Martin grips them, and seeing the Leafeon where she's at angers him while making him worry for her safety.

Martin: "Call her to get out of there, now!"

Grace: "I can't, I lost contact when she got close to the tower. Rocket must have some type of dampening field around the place."

Before Martin could respond, they heard the faint sound of a helicopter flying catching their attention. Now Ampharos begins to worry as much as Grace. "Ampharos."

Eva stops climbing, looking around to make sure it's the right window; she forms the thorny vine and scratches a circle onto the glass before climbing a little bit higher, her hind legs on the cut-out. She pushes the glass in and quickly wraps vines around it to prevent making a loud noise. Eva walks in to find several rows of mechanical devices, each having 2 rings with a camera on one and a needle on the other; they also have 2 computer screens one showing what the individual sees and the other showing who the individual is along with their vital signs. Eva takes a camera from her bag, snapping some photos, and continues to find a Hoopa in a cryogenic state. However before she could investigate further, a door opens and several people including a woman in a lab coat and a Mienshao wearing a belt with vials, walk in. Eva hides under a table near the wall as the group walks over to the one that was connected to the gang boss.

Katheryn: "And here he is, he died just yesterday."

Mienshao: "And what about the R-Gas?"

Katheryn: "We've sent in one of our Ditto's to retrieve it, however, while in Garchomp form, it was attacked by an Eevee wearing the E-Necklace."

Mienshao: "I don't care about the Ditto, I need to have that R-Gas n-shao…"

Mienshao stops himself, putting paws on his forehead for a moment; Mienshao then looks up at her again, this time with more focus.

Mienshao: "I don't expect you to understand, you have no clue what it's like sharing a body with a Pokémon that wants you dead. Find out what happened to the R-gas or I'll have your Salazzle disposed of. Understand?"

Katheryn: "Yes sir."

Mienshao then takes one of the vials from his belt, pressing a button to release the R-Gas which he sniffed up, making sure to not waste it.

Mienshao: "That should keep him tamed for a while. Now, if you'll excuse me, there's someone on the roof that I need to speak with."

He said as he left the room, the woman meanwhile ordered the few people with her to take apart the device and sanitize it before taking the 2 rings from it. She placed them in an incinerator and walked over to the Hoopa; tapping on the screen, the Hoopa though in its sleep, raised its hands to create 4 new rings; the rings floated to the bottom of the cryo chamber and a small case popped out from under the screen. The woman opens the case to check on the rings before closing it and putting it in her pocket. She turns and finally notices the hole in the glass, snapping her fingers to point it out for the others.

Katheryn: "You guys can go on break, let everyone know that there's been a breach."

They leave the room and she sounds the alarm throughout the building as 2 Shadow Machamps enter. Eva evolves into an Umbreon and starts making her into an air vent.

After recovering from the effects, Goodra used Acid Spray on the vines holding them, it snapped and now with his arms freed started untying himself then Francisco. The door opens and Carnivine enters, Goodra uses Muddy Water to cover her face in slime. Carnivine used Bullet Seed and Goodra used Protect on Francisco as she fired aimlessly. She attempts to wipe the slime off as Francisco grabs the IV stand and runs behind her, Carnivine uses Bind and Goodra uses Poison Tail to block it, allowing Francisco to take the metal poll and strike Carnivine on the head, knocking her out.

Francisco: "Are you good."

"Goodra." He said, holding his shoulder, Francisco went up to see and found that Goodra got hit by one of the seeds. Francisco takes some leaves and a vine from Carnivine and tries to stop the bleeding, tying the vine up to keep pressure on the wound.

Francisco: "It's ok, once we get out, we're going straight to the hospital."

They leave the room and go down a concrete hall, signs on the walls seem to indicate that they're somewhere underground; they reach an abandoned train tunnel that's been re-purposed into a hideout for Team Skull. On the second pair of tracks away from them are boxes filled with purple vials, the members check and fill each box, all of them having different labels along with different regions on where it's going.

(Memorial Plaza)

Unlike the concrete jungle of Ryme City, Memorial Plaza is a large roundabout with a park on it and some trees; pillars that look like trees made of glass have holographic images of people and Pokémon. One image is Eclipsa's mother and her Serperior, with text saying that she used to be an inspiring journalist. "Snivy." She said in a sad tone.

Eclipsa: "I miss them too."

A person wearing a skull mask walks up to her, he holds up a gun from under his jacket, the muzzle barely touching her back.

Eclipsa: "Is this really necessary?"

Man: "Not for you, it's for your Snivy; so I suggest you cooperate. Now show me."

Eclipsa holds Snivy in her hands as they walk back to the truck, she barely lifts the cover letting him see. He attempts to remove the cover but Eclipsa stops him, shaking her head.

Eclipsa: "It's not a good idea to wake him up."

Man: "Fine, your friends should be here in an hour."

Snivy hands him the keys and the guy leaves them. As the truck starts going, Max and Velvet; both painted in blue and white, start reviving each other's flame, lighting up the bed of the truck. Before they could go back to the glass tree, Leo and Lapras showed up, both seemingly annoyed but contemptuous of the situation. Eclipsa breaks down, fist clenching, tears dripping down her face as Lapras hugs her with a fin. Leo's expression changes to worry, though he still tries his best to remain professional.

Leo: "What did you guys do?"

Snivy explains the situation to Lapras who then explains it to him. Leo couldn't stay mad anymore and offered her comfort.

(Team Rocket Laboratories)

As Eva crawls through the vents, Shadow Pokémon runs down the hall hunting for her. She reaches a dead end and down into a small room with some storage files; noticing a cabinet with a label that reads Project Hoopa, she walks over pulling it open with her mouth. As Eva looks through the files and realizes that it contains information on everyone who has been implanted between the 1980s and 2010s; one file catches her eye, a file going by a familiar name. She takes the camera again and takes pictures of the files while making sure everything is the same as before she came. She opened the door slowly, checking if anyone was in the hall before running to an exit, security cameras watching her every move. She evolves into a Jolteon and runs quickly down the staircase then stopping at the 4th floor, a Shadow Eevee stands before her, wearing the same device as her; except it's different from hers, more advanced and smaller.

"Jolteon?" Eva asks the Eevee, the other's device glows a rainbow color and evolves into a…new type of eeveelution? A Bug type? "JOLT!?" Eva slightly freezes from what she's looking at and runs through the door into the hall.

The thing with his maroon exoskeleton, still in quadrupedal shape but instead of a tail now has an abdomen with a stinger; he flaps his wings which disappear from the speed and make a buzzing sound. He bursts through the door and uses Fell Stinger in her direction, which she dodges and uses Electro Ball, the bug type used Bug Buzz, and the two moves interact, hitting both of them with a sonic boom as windows shatter. Eva looks over to see an Ambipom and Krokorok, both infested by Shadow; she looks through the shattered windows to see an approaching double-deck bus, using Thunder Wave to hit all of them, she makes a run for the outside, leaping into the air and landing onto the bus.

Hearing static in the earpiece, Eva taps on it with a paw, "Jolteon." She said to Grace, letting her know where she was.

Grace: "Finally, I thought you were dead or something. Anyway, I'm on my way, so stay put."

"Jolteon" she responded, tapping the glass of the bus to be let in by one of the passengers. Placing the radio down, Grace turns her attention to Martin and Ampharos.

Grace: "She's currently on a bus headed somewhere, I'm going to get her, and then you can tell us how reckless we were."

Martin: "We're coming with you. You and Eva are my responsibility."

Grace: "What is that supposed to mean? If something happens, the PIA will take care of it. Right?"

Martin: "Well you're not the first ones that was sent here."

Grace: "We weren't? So what happened to them?"

"Ampharos?" he said, pointing at the car keys.

Martin: "I'll explain on the way there."

Grace nodded, taking her keys while taking down the telescope and everything. Meanwhile, on the bus, Eva takes a seat as everyone looks on with curiosity, devolving into an Eevee. But then a stinger pierced through the metal roof several times in a circular shape, and most of the passengers went downstairs as the eeveelution tiers opened the metal. Eva takes a stance and readies herself; when he gets in she focuses all of her energy and uses Double Kick on him, causing the bug to faint temporarily and devolve back into an Eevee. Before he could recover, a Galvantula used Sticky Web on the Shadow Eevee to keep it contained; Eva simply gives Galvantula a nod as the bus stops.

(Abandoned Subway System.)

The pickup truck drives down a tunnel that heads under the city's waterway, taking a maintenance tunnel that branches off. Max turns on the SOS on Eclipsa's phone, leaving the location on so that they can be found. The truck stops and the driver gets out to the back, he takes the truck blanket off and Max uses Slash on the man. The others in response pull out their guns but Velvet uses Heat Wave, causing their weapons to get hot and forcing them to drop them; Max then uses Tera Blast, almost killing them all. Meanwhile, Leo and Eclipsa get a report about the SOS from under the waterway.

Leo: "I need all available units to the Eternatus Tunnel."

A man runs from down the tunnel, and tells everyone to hurry up as Goodra and Francisco hide from behind the boxes. The members quickly abandoned the unfinished boxes and started loading them onto a subway car; to remain hidden, Francisco and Goodra made their way to behind the subway. As the two Charizards enter the tunnel, a Liepard and an Archeops stand before them; they break open a vial releasing the R-Gas and sniffing it up. Archeops uses Tailwind which Liepard leaps into and runs full speed toward Velvet, Max steps in front of her and Liepard uses Night Slash on him. Before Liepard jumps away, Velvet grabs her tail and throws Liepard to a wall; Max uses Flamethrower on Archeops which he dodges, flying towards Max. Seeing how the vials work, Goodra taps Francisco and they go to the cockpit of the subway car; when one of the members gets off, Francisco sets the speed up and Goodra shuts the door on them; the other person tries to open it as Goodra holds it shut, he then grabs one of the boxes of vials as the door opens and throws it at him, pushing the guy off. In the cockpit, a map shows where the supply is supposed to go; Francisco examines it and finds a place to stop the subway. Meanwhile, Archeops uses Meteor Beam and Max uses Endure; Velvet uses Dragon Claw on Liepard, leaving some deep wounds as Liepard uses Slash in response. Archeops uses Dual Wingbeat, allowing Max to use Bite on Archeops's left wing and pinning him down; Liepard leaps out and is about to use Throat Chop on Max to free Archeops but Velvet uses Fire Punch on her, and as Max uses Fire Spin on both Archeops and Liepard. Velvet and Max then use Flamethrower several degrees to the right to create a fire tornado down the tunnel, Liepard and Archeops struggle to breathe as the air (including the R-Gas) leaves their lungs, causing them to faint. Members of Team Skull ducked for cover as the flames reached as far down as possible. Leo slammed his brakes as they approached the Eternatus Tunnel, smoke seeping out the entrance. Eclipsa immediately jumps out and runs to the tunnel.

Leo: "Eclipsa, are you blind?"

Eclipsa: "I have to find them."

Leo: "Can you at least wait for a moment?"

She continues running with Snivy on her shoulder, Leo looks through the glove compartment and grabs his Pokéball before going after her; Snivy uses Leaf Tornado to clear out the smoke as they make their way through the maintenance tunnels, following the SOS signal. Once they get to the truck, Eclipsa and Snivy freezes, Leo simply walks past her paying little attention to the burned bodies while he gets Eclipsa's phone and turns off the SOS.

Leo: "I probably should've told you how ugly this was going to be."

Eclipsa: "You don't think he'll like, do that to us, right?"

"Snivy." She said with a chuckle, confusing Eclipsa with her calm demeanor.

Eclipsa: "How is that a stupid question? I'm serious."

"Sni? Snivy."

Eclipsa: "Oh yeah, I forgot I said that."

Leo: "Which is?"

Eclipsa: "Well this morning, Max was hesitant to eat breakfast with us and I said, 'If we wanted to do something, we would have done it by now.' Which; now that I think about it, it works both ways. But still, wouldn't this be a crime in itself or something."

Leo: "Considering they kidnapped your business partner, this is considered self-defense. Remember he's been here for 4 months so this isn't the first."

They continue, now following the trail of smoke as Snivy uses Leaf Tornado to clear it out; Leo moves over the busted door to find that what's left of Team Skull has surrendered and Velvet has already tied them up. Seeing bits of fire everywhere, Leo throws his Pokéball to summon Lapras to which she uses Rain Dance to take out the fire.

Eclipsa: "Wait, where are the others at?"

Velvet pointed down the tunnel and Eclipsa ran down through, Leo followed as Lapras and Velvet kept an eye on Skull. Eclipsa ran quickly to find them in the subway car, Francisco turned to see her and ran up to her; they hugged each other intimately, holding tightly. Leo glances over to the dashboard, he turns to speak but decides to let them have their moment.

Eclipsa: "I thought I would never see you again."

Francisco: "Me too, also look."

He brings her to the cockpit and shows her the dashboard. She looks over to the sealed boxes in the passenger area, she looks over to Leo with a smile.

Eclipsa: "You can take this from here right?"

Leo: "Once backup comes, then yes. But you'll have to stay here to fill in the details, like whatever happened to Goodra's arm?"

Francisco: "He was drugged to suppress his powers. I tried the best I could, but he still needs to go to the hospital."

"Goodra," he said, telling Francisco that it was fine, even though he was leaning on the wall for support. Leo turns on his radio to call in an ambulance.

Eclipsa: "Thank you, Leo."

Leo: "I didn't do anything, those Charizards did all the dirty work."

Eclipsa: "No, I mean for helping me earlier when I started to panic, and driving me here too."

(Dialga Hotel Towers)

Ampharos and Martin wait in the elevator as it gets to the top floor, both sweating nervously. Martin corrects his tie, even though it looked alright; as if correcting it every few minutes would somehow make him look more professional. Ampharos is even more nervous, sparking small lightning to flip a coin in the air for a second, then catching it; he repeats this action, trying to keep calm. The elevator slows down and Martin fixes his tie as Ampharos holds the coin in his hand, the door opens and they are greeted by Charles Goodshow.

Mr. Goodshow: "Martin, Ampharos, thank you for coming."

Martin: "Hi, Mr. Goodshow, so how was your stay here?"

Mr. Goodshow: "Well it depends heavily on the people, well not all of them. You know what I mean."

Charles walks to the window and looks over to the other side of downtown, towards Team Rocket Labs.

Mr. Goodshow: "I never thought that Ryme City would be so successful under Team Plasma's supervision. Now I wish they were still around so that I could apologize."

Martin: "Wait a minute, Team Plasma supervised this city?"

Mr. Goodshow: "Wasn't it obvious? Yes Howard was in charge but you didn't think he actually came up with the idea, did you?"

Martin: "So, how come this isn't common knowledge?."

Mr. Goodshow: "When Team Plasma's leader Ghetsis was defeated, a lot of people wanted nothing to do with them. However, N, the other leader who didn't betray Plasma; came to me for help, we talked for a while and even though we had very different opinions, she was smart so I agreed to help. Don't you have something for me?"

Ampharos hands him the photos taken by Eva along with several documents about giving confiscated R-Gas to Team Rocket Laboratories and the Bug Eeveelution.

Mr. Goodshow: "A Bug type of eeveelution? That tower has more secrets in its walls than everyone else outside it."

Officer Jenny looked at the photo out of curiosity, they then looked out the window to that tower, a certain fear rarely seen before. The fear of the truth behind Ryme City's history.
