The following day, Ava had already woken up and had already made breakfast when she heard her father coming to the kitchen with Valentina giggling behind him. The teenager understood her cousin had been hearing something she didn't understand from Owen. Suddenly, Ava heard the door opening and turned around to see Claire followed by her nephews and Savannah, who had decided to give some space to Karen and Ben. Ava also saw Claire's face was beaming while Zach, Gray and Savannah were laughing upon one of Savannah's dumb jokes.
"Why so happy, Claire?" Ava inquired.
"Well, I thought the teens would argue all the time. But they're getting along very well." Claire explained.
Owen turned around and saw Savannah tickling Gray while Zach kept ruffling his brother's hair. Then Ava looked through the window and saw a man hurrying somewhere. Seeing he acted suspiciously, Ava quickly put on her cargo pants over her jean shorts and a grey blazer over her black tank top before putting her combat boots and a bulletproof vest on. Ava then left the house and retrieved a M4A1 carbine from the armory before following the suspicious-acting man. She also saw Tim and his Marines following the guy from a distance and motioned if she could join. Needless to say, Tim and the US Marines agreed for the teen to join them.
Meanwhile, Owen took his niece, Claire and her nephews alongside Savannah to the Dome, where Dilophosauruses lived. Savannah, wearing blue jean shorts, sandals and a white t-shirt was followed by Gray, who was wearing blue shorts, green sneakers and a button-down shirt over his grey t-shirt. Zach had also switched to grey shorts with sandals and a red t-shirt. The group then stumbled upon a group of curious Dilophosauruses looking at Valentina from the other side of the glass. Suddenly, Savannah saw Ava sitting on a man while Tim pointed his M4A1 carbine at the man as the other US Marines were looking all around. As Claire saw the ACU coming, Ava displayed the security team sabotage equipment she found on the man while searching him.
Claire soon realized Ava may have foiled something far worse. But for now, she and Owen had to carry Valentina to the control room while the Mitchell brothers and Savannah were left to visit the park by themselves. Savannah then shook her head before Owen gave in and allowed the three teens to accompany the two adults to the control room. The group then left the exhibit while Ava and the US Marines led the way with their prisoner in handcuffs.
Once in the Control Room, where there was an interrogation cell, Hoskins, a recently-arrived Lex and Hamada were interrogating the man alongside Ava while Claire and Owen were searching for useful information on the man Ava and Tim's men just caught. Tim himself contacted the higher ups to announce they could have a lead to a conspiracy when Lowery smirked.
"What did you find, Lowery?" Claire asked, having understood Lowery had found something.
"The man Ava helped lock up is not named Hugh Savina as he claimed. His real name is Rick Sommers. He has a wife called Jenna and a daughter called Cammie. Both are hospitalized in San Francisco. And the man has gotten an offer by those two asshats." Lowery replied.
Lowery showed the mugshots of two men Owen, Tim and Barry, who had just arrived, knew too well. Even Ava and a recently-arrived Wu knew them. These two men were Uberto Mortem and his father Renaldo. Ava clenched her fingers around her M4A1 carbine before inserting a USB flash drive into which Vivian downloaded the data she and Lowery found. Ava then removed it when she had the necessary intelligence before plugging it into her laptop, which she brought to the interrogation cell. Lex, Hoskins and Hamada understood Ava had something to leverage Rick Sommers.
"Well, well, well. I can tell your kid Cammie and your wife Jenna won't be proud of you. Knowing you work for assholes like Renaldo Mortem and his son Uberto." Ava began.
"Not to mention my superiors at Interpol will be happy to coordinated the manhunt for them. So either you cooperate, or I'll have the ICC lock you in Guantanamo for the rest of your life on charges of helping terrorists and attempted mass murder." Lex said, being an Interpol member.
"I have no other option to save my family save working for Mortem!" Rick Sommers stubbornly replied, as he did since the interrogation began.
"I've got lots of friends in the whole world. Maybe they'll help you fucking change your fucking mind." Ava taunted Rick Sommers before nodding to Hoskins and Hamada.
The two men then let Lex and Ava leave the room before Ava searched for one of her contacts. Finding him, she called the contact's number and began explaining the whole situation in Spanish so no one could understand. Unfortunately, Savannah was fluent in Spanish and understood Ava was talking to a man named Felix, who was in charge of several Mexican Naval Infantrymen. And judging by Ava's tone, said Felix was just as eager to see both Mortem men either dead or sitting in a maximum security jail anywhere in the world. Zach and Gray also understood Ava was glad said Felix would get every single one of his troops at Ava's disposal.
Then Owen turned the TV on before seeing news broadcasts saying the hunt for Uberto and Renaldo Mortem had restarted after years focusing on infamous terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden. Barry switched channels before seeing everyone was only talking about the manhunt for Mortem, to the point of governments from all the countries he was wanted in allowing joint cross-border operations.
"Well... The hunt is on." Savannah said.
