Ch 1

Everything had happened so fast. At first things were peaceful for David, well as peaceful as he could be living by himself in the woods. He's been alone, living in the woods. It's not like he doesn't want to live with other people, but it's just that he can't. He's different, he doesn't know what he is but he knows that he's not a normal boy.

He remembered that night where his whole life was forever changed. He was living on the streets because he ran away from his foster home. He Just turned 6, but thanks to his abusive foster parents, malnutrition stunted his growth so most people mistook him for being much younger, around 4.

It made sense, he was definitely smaller than most kids his age, and he definitely used it to his advantage when he was living on the streets and people were pitting him. However, one night when he was sleeping in the park he was attacked. He couldn't see who attacked him, but all he heard was "let's hope you survive." Before the most unimaginable pain shot through his entire body.

It was like his body was engulfed in flames and David thought he was going to die. Luckily it passed and when the pain stopped David looked around to see that everything was so much clearer. His sight and hearing was soo much better than it was. He could hear everything in the park even the wings of birds!

He was very confused and didn't know what to do, let alone what happened to him. He tried to move but to only face plant into a tree, but surprisingly it didn't hurt. That morning when the sun came out something amazing and terrifying happened. His whole body sparkled like diamonds, which was weird considering his skin was a chocolate brown color so how can he sparkle in the sun.

It wasn't normal. Not at all, and in that thought he knew that he couldn't let anyone see him like this so he hid in the ally's and anywhere where the sun wouldn't touch him. Another peculiar thing manifested and that was the fact he couldn't stomach food, or at least meat. But for some reason he was fine with plants.

Fruits, flowers, nuts, heck even grass soothed his appetite. He realized that whatever attacked him that night must have turned him into some kind of forest fairy and if that's the case he couldn't let anyone find him afraid of what people would do to him. So he ran and he found out he could run really really fast. He ran to the nearest forest where he began to live on the vegetation there.

He doesn't know how long he has been living in the forest, probably a very long time. But in that time he began to learn more of himself and that not only can he only eat plants, but he can eat any plant even poisonous ones. A few times he would come across people camping and would listen to them and learned that certain plants he had eaten were poisoned , but it had no effect on him.

He also discovered that he had a connection with plants. A deep connection that he later realized allowed him to actually manipulate the plant life around him. He could make whole fields of flowers bloom from nothing or make a whole tree grow from one seed.

It was amazing he could even talk to the trees around him, but it sometimes made it awkward because he would also eat from those trees, but they always assured that he was ok in doing so. So he always made it a point to ask permission before eating from any tree.

With that the trees have guided him from state to state, avoiding other humans and learning more about nature. It came to a point where his once brown eyes has turn into a bright emerald green. It sparkled in the sunlight just like his skin.

This is how he has spent his new life, living in the different forests. Thankfully the biggest change in his transformation was his increase in strength so any animal that tried to attack him he was always able to fight back, even a mountain Lion. This lifestyle made it so that he wasn't afraid of anything. And he never got sick, no matter if he slept outside or if it rained. He was able to survive living in the woods peacefully.

All until one fateful day where he was sitting on top of a tree snacking on some nuts he had found and heard the sound of fighting. It was coming from a far direction but it caught his attention. From the sound it was a big fight, something that couldn't be caused by any of the animals around the area. So it had to be people, but what could they be fighting about? His curiosity getting the better of him he stated jumping from tree to tree as they guided him.

Reaching his destination what he saw was something that looked out of some fantasy. There were people and they were not only fighting other people but giant wolfs too! David has never seen wolfs that big while he was living in the forest! They must be super wolfs, but why are they fighting people? However, he realized that these weren't normal people...no, the way they moved and fight almost looked like how he does.

And there was this feeling that they have something in common. David hid in the tree as he watched the fight. It seemed that there was two groups of people fighting: ones with yellow eyes and the one with red eyes. And it seems that the wolfs are fighting only the red eyes, so they're friends with the yellow eyes?

Their skin also sparkled in the sunlight, so they must be fairies too. David watch the fight come to an end where the giant wolfs were leaving, which David sighed in relief cause they scared him, but the sent they gave off was like that of nature.

His interest was in the other group, the yellow eyes. Then people in robes came in and David wondered who they could be. It seemed there was a survivor of the red eyes group and one of the yellow eyes were trying to keep her, but it seemed that the robe guys wasn't going to let that happen as one of them approached the girl and killed her.

That shocked David and honestly he was more scared of those robe guys then the giant wolves. The ones in robes went away and David was able to get a closer look at the yellow eyes group. There was 7 of them in total, but the oddest thing was that there was a normal person with them. It was a girl, and to David she smelled like daisies. But the one that caught his attention was the blonde one who smelled like roses.

"You can stop hiding now, Come on out!" David froze. The one that called out was the yellow eye that has the normal girl next to him, he smelled like salt. The rest of the yellow eyes are now frantically looking for him. How did that guy know that David was hiding? His hiding skills have never failed especially when he uses the trees to mask his sent.

"There's no use pretending, I know you're hiding up there come down!" The same yellow eye make yelled looking up at the tree that David Is hiding in. Should he run away? No, they could probably catch him easily. He hope that they are friendly.

David jumped down from his hiding spot and slowly walked out to the opening to the yellow eyes only to receive shocked expressions from all of them.

The Cullens has just narrowly won the battle with the newborn army that Victoria has created to kill them and then almost brushed with death with the Vulturi. They thought that they could catch their breath until Edward suddenly called out for someone to come out that was hiding. The whole family prepared for another fight.

However, none of them were expecting to see a small child emerging from the bushes. Not only that, they could tell that the child was turned, he was an immortal child. However, the first thing all of them noticed, besides his torn worn out cloths, was that the little boy's eyes weren't red or golden like theirs. It was green, a bright emerald green that shown like the gem in its namesake.

Edward instinctively placed Bell behind him, but the moment he looked into the child's mind he relaxed. And then was in total awe, which put the others in alert too. This was a reaction that they have never seen from him. Is this really a immortal child? If so, who created him? This shouldn't be possible. As Bell looked at the little boy she knew that he was a vampire, but he was the most beautiful child she had ever seen.

His chocolate skin glisten while his emerald green eyes bewitched her, which was odd in itself because she thought that vampires had red eyes or in the Cullen's case golden. So why is his green? Contacts maybe? It has to be.

"It's fine." Edward whispered, but loud enough for everyone to here. "This child isn't like the others, or like us for that fact. He's...something entirely different." He finished in wonder.

Charlisle looked at his adoptive son in wonder, but no matter how you look at it this is an immortal child by definition. It shouldn't exist, however as the wind was blowing there was no doubt that the child was receiving a full wiff from Bell but he isn't even remotely reacting to it. Everyone including the child is too stun to even speak so he decided to make the first contact.

"Hello little one." He spoke softly so as to not scare him. "Where did you come from?" This is the first time that David has spoken to anyone since he lived on his own in the forest. Usually talking to the trees he didn't have to say anything since they can talk in his head. Hopefully he didn't forget how to talk. He opened his mouth to try to speak.

"Up...in...tree." He said softly pointing at the tree that he was hiding in. His voice was a bit hoarse from the lack of using it.

"Are you with someone?" He asked next. It would have been ludicrous if this child is by himself, but surprisingly the little boy shook his head.

"No...I'm...alone." Charlisle heard a gasp from his mate and Rosalie. He could understand given how small the child was, he couldn't have be older than 4 years old when he was turned. Surprisingly he has a much more mature demeanor if not wary.

"How long have you been alone?" The little boy was in thought, before answering.

"Don't...know...long...time."

"Well my name is Charlisle, can I have the pleasure of knowing yours?" David thought for a second, and decided that these people weren't dangerous or was going to hurt him.

"David." He answered. Charlisle smiled.

"Well David, it's nice to meet you." While Charlisle was talking to David, Edward the was staring at the little boy in absolute shock, especially after he read through the boy's mind.

"Hey Ed, what's got you spooked?" Emmett whispered. They were all in shock, but it was what Edward had said earlier that really confused them.

"What did you see?" Esme asked softly.

"It's true that he has been turned, but somehow he's never drank a drop of blood." Everyone's eyes including Belle's widen in shock.

"Impossible." Rosalie whispered.

"And not only that he doesn't drink blood at all, human or animal. In fact he has survived on the vegetation of the forest, He can actually eat." Edward said unbelievably. Everyone turned back to the little boy in question. Not a single drop of blood?! It was unheard of, especially for an immortal child. And also the fact that vampires couldn't digest anything so how could he? It must be a gift, that's the only answer.

While everyone was mulling over this revelation one more person started walking towards the boy, Rosalie. Ever since he came out of the bush the only thing she could think was that he was perfect. She now can understand why some vampires would create them, he was like an angel.

David saw as someone was approaching him. It was the lady that smelled like roses, and she was very pretty, the prettiest fairy he had seen. She walked slowly up to him but she gave him a warm smile. It made David further relax.

"Hello sweetheart." She spoke softly to him. "My name is Rosalie...Would you like to come with us?" She asked taking her hand out to him surprising everyone, especially with the gentle tone she was using. For Belle this was a side she never saw from her and for everyone else it's been decades since they saw this.

Of course Charlisle was going to offer that to the young one, but was shocked that Rosalie jumped the gun to it. But the more he thought about it the more he realized why she's acting like this. Of course, he's a child, an immortal one at that. And the one thing that Rosalie want more than life itself is to be a mother and this might just be her best and only chance so she's already smitten.

David looked around at the reaction of the adults. He's been living by himself for so long that he's become accustomed to it, but at the same time he misses being around other people. Rosalie looked at the little boy nervously, praying that he would come to them. Slowly, ever so slowly David began to walk to to Rosalie. Everyone waited holding their breath to see what the little one would do.

When David approached Rosalie he looked at her golden eyes. It was then that she could see the depths of his beautiful green eyes that sparkled like a gem stone. He reached up with his small hands and lightly touched her face and though it was cold frozen to the touch there was something comforting about it. David gave her a small smile.

"I...like the..way you...smell. Like...roses. Can I call you Rose?" David asked. Her smile widen even further.

"Of course sweetheart." Without any further hesitation Rosalie picked up David and held the boy in her arms. She stood shocked. David wasn't cold like the rest of their species, but actually warm. Though she can tell there's no blood pumping through his veins, but somehow his skin is do warn.

Finally, after all her years of suffering she can finally be the one thing she always wanted to be. And she won't let anything happen to him no matter what. To hell with the Vultori and their laws, no one is going to take him away from her!

"It seems that there's a lot for us to talk about little one, but for now let's go home." Home. That was a word that David never thought he would ever hear again.
