"Everything okay buddy, as you've been quiet, you know you can tell me and guessing it's to do with what your mom did." Ranger heard his and Rocket's dad asking him. It was a few mornings later but Ranger couldn't sleep thinking aboht the past nodding as they were the only ones up right now drinking coffee feeling his dad squeeze his paw gently "What happened was yohr momma's doing, not yours which your brother gets, but let's make breakfast." he told him starting up the stove to make eggs for everybody with Ranger's help impressed by his cooking skills as Rocket entered seeing Ranger hug him surprising him. "I'm sorry I didn't stand up for you when mom kicked you oht of the tree but was scared of her." he told him making him understand.
"It's alright Ranger, it was more mom's doing we're all good." Rocket told him, making Ranger smile as Nebula entered wondering what had happened seeing them shrug their furry shoulders in reply. "We made eggs for you guys." Rocket Senior told her making her grinas she drank coffee enjoying the food. "You guys did good but I have mayor stuff to do and think Rocket has a team-meeting, I think." she told him but Ranger was impressed hearing his brother was the leader of his Guardians team along with their dad
"Yeah, I do, but don't worry." Rocket told him leaving after eating and putting his dishes in the sink leaving but felt bad that he had a team-meeting as he wanted to hang out with Ranger and maybe they could have a drink at Starling's later or coffee at the diner frowning making the other Guardians notice, especially saying they had a mission but after a while he returned seeing Ranger and their dad using Nerf blasters amusing him.
"Oh hey Rocket, how was things." Ranger asked him making Rocket grin. "It was good but I have a mission but you guys are having fun." he told them seeing them nodding in reply and had an idea to encourage Ranger to adjust to Knowhere along with making new friends by helping in the community garden explaining making Ranger excited and Rocket Senior chuckle.
"You know what makes him happy, buddy." he told Rocket seeing him nodding.
"Yep, and know it might help him, but hope he's okay." he told him.
"I will be, you go ahead." Ranger said to him, and saw him getting ready making Nebula understand knowing he had this seeibg Rocket whispering into his dad's ear looking at Ranger nodding . "Ranger, let's get a drink." Rocket Senior told Ranger seeing him nodding. "Okay dad." he replied as they left.
That next day, Ranger was at the community garden but enjoying it, as he loved growing things and was worrying about Rocket despite their dad and Nebula reassuring him that it would be okay, he was still worrying about his brother. He then was returning to the house but cleaning up noticing his dad was talking to Shocket on his phone making him leave him be guessing it was hero stuff going to his room as working in the community garden had tired him out so after Rocket Senior had finished talking to Shocket, he was checking on him seeing Ranger asleep kissing his head knowing he felt left out. "We'll talk a bit after you wake up." he whispered leaving his room quietly seeing Nebula home saying a certain ship had just left suggestibg they get takeout.
"Yeah, plus Ranger's worrying about him, but I lnow he's okay." Rocket Senior said to herseeing her nodding.
Negula was ordering takeout for them, using the menus for the good places she and Rocket ordered from plus Rocket Senior and Ranger would have a drink at Starling's later as that would relax him, knowing his elder son had anxiety thanks to Elanor but they could work on this seeing Ranger nodding as he'd like this.
