"Do not get me angry, Olivia. You don't like it when I'm angry."

Staring at him, Olivia kept her eyes on Edison holding the gun to her forehead. His eyes were turning much darker with anger. She took a step closer to him, gun tip at the center of her forehead.

"You won't let me go?"

"No, never, Olivia. I love you too much to let you go."

"Then shoot me. Shoot me, Edison."

"Olivia, I love you. Don't you get that?"

"Why do you not understand that I don't love you! I hate you! I would rather you shot me in the head than spend another day with you. You ruined my life! I could be Stephen's wife right now. Happily married with at least one child with him. I hate you, Edison!"

Taking a deep breath, Edison locked eyes on hers and shook his head. "No, you don't. You might hate the things I have done but you do not hate me."

"When they find us, when the police show up here to arrest you, I will be the happiest I have ever been. And when they sentence you to death… I can't wait to hear the judge say those words."

Pulling up to the property, Captain Larsen stepped out of the car to greet the other squads. "Do we have any idea where they might be?"

"We sent up a drone to get ariel footage. There's just a bunch of trees from what we can see so far."

"Get it higher. There's got to be a cabin or something around here that he's hiding her in." Taking the drone higher, they found an area where the trees circled around the cabin. "That's got to be it. Pack up everyone and stay vested. He's armed and dangerous."

"How are we getting cars in there?"

"We'll have to go by foot. He could hurt her if he hears movement outside."

"That's about a mile back, Captain."

"Then I hope you wore your walking shoes."

Edison stared her down, gaging if she was serious or not. "How can you even say that Olivia? I've loved you for so long. I made one mistake that ruined my life. I am sorry for that."

"I don't care! I do not care! Shoot me, damn it! I want out. If I have to stay here with you, I will rather die. I want Fitz. I don't want you. If you love me so much, Edison, you will let me go. You don't hurt people you love. If you love them, then you will let them be happy even if it's with someone else."

Shaking his head, no, Edison watched her take another step towards him but he refused to put the gun away from her. "It's us together. Remember? Whenever your friends were being cruel to you, I protected you. When your dad was gone all the time, I took care of you. We wanted to be together. Forever. Don't you remember that?"

"That was years ago. I don't want us. I don't want you."

He cocked it back ready to shoot her. "If I can't have you, no one will."

"Half a mile in, captain."

"Everyone watch your six. I won't have any more deaths today." The ground covered in snow at least two inches and more falling from the trees, each of the teams doing what they were trained for in a rescue mission.

Edison was shaking. He never thought he would hurt Olivia. But if he had to kill her, he was going to shoot himself right after. He couldn't live without her.

Putting her hands up, surrendering to let him pull the trigger against her head. Just as he was ready to, she watched him closer his eyes, as if he couldn't watch what he was about to do. Taking the moment she had, Olivia grabbed his wrist holding the gun and twisted his arm hard as she could. The sound of his screaming and the snap of his bones scared him as he fell to his knees. Olivia quickly grabbed the gun out of his hand and shot him in the back of the head three times.

"Shots fired! Move in!" Captain Larsen shouted to them getting everyone to run in faster towards the house.

Olivia chucked the gun to the other side of the kitchen and ran out of the house. Running as fast as she could through the trees barefoot, she would not let cold weather keep her from getting as far away as she could possibly get. Hearing rustling coming from somewhere around her, she ran faster.

"Wait, everyone freeze. I hear something," Larsen directed.

"Inferred shows someone coming towards us."

"Be ready."

Olivia ran faster than she ever had. Getting closer, she heard male voices and knew they weren't Edison's. Rushing through the trees, Liv saw movement before she crashed into an officer.

"Ma'am are you alright?" the officer asked, reeling back a bit from the hit. She pushed him off of her and took several steps away. "Are you Ms. Pope?" She nodded and stood back against the tree looking around at twenty men in uniform. "Are you alone?" Again, she nodded. "Where's the man that took you?"

"I think he's dead."

Taking a few steps closer to her, Captain Larsen turned back to his team. "Continue to the house and secure it," he told Maryland Police. "Go radio our location for an ambulance and get a car up the driveway to pick us up," he directed DC Police. Turning to her, he took off his coat and wrapped it around her, noticing the blood on her shirt and hands. "Ms. Pope, I'm Captain Larsen. I was Fitz's admiral in the Navy. He'll be relieved to know you're alive. Are you hurt? We heard shots fired."

"I'm alright. Just a headache and a possible concussion."

"You weren't shot?"

"No, Captain."

Leading her towards the driveway path, Tom stood beside her when they pulled up and let her in. "We'll get you back to DC once we get you checked out at the hospital."

"No hospitals. I want to go home."

"Ms. Pope, you said you might have a concussion, let's get you checked out first."

"Fine but just by the EMTs. I need to get back to DC. I need to see Fitz."

Hesitating, Larsen agreed to it and rode back up to get her checked out. Waiting for them to get her evaluated, he called back to his station and informed them to tell Fitz and the others.

Walking into the room, everyone turned to look at the officer. "Mr. Grant, we have Ms. Pope. She is safe and with Captain Larsen on their way back here now. They should be back in just about an hour."

"Is she hurt? What about Edison?"

"Sorry, sir, that's all I know at the moment."

"Thank you, officer."

Fitz finally let out the breath he didn't realize he was holding. Coming over to Jerry, he hugged him and Verna, then Huck. "She's got to be okay. Right? If they're back in an hour, she isn't in the hospital or heading back to one here. She's safe and okay."

"She had better be okay. If I get my hands on him…" Huck started, clenching his fists but stopped as Verna cleared her throat to get his attention and shook her head.

"There's nothing Olivia can't handle. I'm sure she will be okay," Verna told them.

Waiting for an hour for them to arrive back, Fitz grew impatient and started pacing the room again. "How long has it been?"

"Two minutes since you last asked," Huck rolled his eyes at him. "You know traffic is brutal. Would you just sit down? You're as bad as Liv."

"Circles, I know, where do you think I picked up that habit?" Fitz smirked and sat down. "When she's thinking, it's…"

"Back and forth," everyone said.

Staying sat down for a few minutes, Fitz bounced his knee up and down again before standing up. "I have to know how far away they are."

"Right this way, Ms. Pope," Captain Larsen led her into the station. "I'll find Fitz and let him know we're back."

Opening the door to come out, Fitz took one step before seeing her and let out the deep breath.

"Fitz!" Screaming his name, Liv ran across the room to him and wrapped her arms around him tight.

"You're finally here." Holding her to him, Fitz gripped her torso tight. "I'm so sorry, sweet baby," he mumbled into her hair. "I should have gotten your coat and sent you upstairs. Or gone with you."

Liv wasn't listening to what he was saying. The only thing she cared about was being wrapped in his arms. Seeing the three others behind him in a room, she smiled at them and waved.

"I'm so glad you're back Liv," Huck came to her and kissed her cheek while she was still in Fitz's embrace. "And him?" Knowing what he meant, she shook her head at him. Understanding, Huck nodded and went to his phone to text Kim.

"Any physical hurt?" Verna asked her, squeezing her hand.

Fitz felt her nod her head and tried to pull her back from him. "You're hurt? Where?" Liv refused to leave his arms. "Livie? Where are you hurt? We need to take you to a doctor. You need to be seen at the hospital."

"No, I'm alright. It's just a headache. I'll be okay. I just want to go home."

Jerry kissed her cheek and waved the captain over. "When can we take her home?"

"We should get you looked at and get your official statement, Ms. Pope. Then we can get you out of here and back home," Larsen told them.

"Not today. We'll get her checked out, but she needs to go home and rest. Fitz can bring her back tomorrow after she gets sleep to give her statement," Jerry said, lightly rubbing her shoulder.

"Judge Grant, you know it's better to get a statement when it's fresh in their minds. She could lose details the longer we wait."

Jerry laughed at the idea. "Captain, I would normally agree with you. However, Livia has a sort of photographic memory. She sadly will never forget what happened today. Now, we'll take her to the hospital to be seen. The gash on her head doesn't look too bad, but to be safe. I doubt that's her blood on her shirt, or she wouldn't be here."

Though Tom didn't like the idea of it, he agreed. "Ms. Pope lets have you come back tomorrow morning and we'll get a statement then. For now, Fitz can take you to the hospital."

Letting go of Fitz, Olivia smiled at the captain and shook his hand. "Tomorrow is fine, thank you."

Jerry and Verna went to get the car pulled up while Fitz stayed with Olivia. Huck tucked his phone in his pocket and went to hug her.

"I don't think we're going to make dinner tonight," Huck smiled at her.

"Rain check?"

"Absolutely. Call me if you need anything, got it?" Huck kissed her cheek and turned to Fitz. "Same to you, Fitz. Call if you need something, or if she gets to be too much."

Shaking his hand, Fitz put his other around her shoulder. "You got it." Looking back at Liv, he took off his coat and put it on her, zipping it up. "Where are your shoes?"

"I didn't grab them when I ran out of the cabin."

"Okay then." Turning around, Fitz bent down and lifted her on his back, carrying her piggyback down to the car. "Head to James Madison, Dad."

"No, just go home, Jerry. I know how to watch for a concussion. I'll be fine. Go to the apartment."

Attempting to argue with her, Verna made the decision. "We'll go to the apartment, but Jerry and I will stay there. I am a psychiatrist, but I do still have my medical background. Either that or you are going to the hospital."

"Fine, fine, Verna. You both can stay for a while. I just want to be home."

Jerry headed back to her apartment and looked at her in the rearview mirror leaning against Fitz. "Livia? What happened to Edison? They took him into custody, right?"

Liv shook her head before laying it on Fitz's shoulder. "No, they didn't take him."

"He escaped again?" Fitz nearly shouted, getting angry.

"No. I killed him."
