Happiest New Year!!! What's rocking you beautiful lot?! I'm still alive, and now I'm back! I'll admit that I kind of lost interest in this story for the past half-year, it's mostly because of writer's block and because there was other stuff I wanted to do aside from this, so this little hobby of mine of writing stories kind of got pushed into the corner until it accumulated dust, but I'm proud to say that I'm back, dusting it up for another crack at it, and brimming with creative juice(eww), now I'm actually taking my time with this and thoroughly thinking through ideas, rehashing, reimagining, rewriting, etc., but despite that, I can guarantee that there will be loopholes/plotholes because I have the creative and writing ability of a rock, so I humbly ask you, dear readers, once more as I always have, please be critical of my story, it'll greatly help me in improving the story and any other future stories, so thank you.
Things to note about the rewrite:
I'll stick to the original first chapters, as I don't personally have any problem with how they're written, but I'll be modifying the sparring session chapter a bit, making it a bit more tasteful, but it'll still be fundamentally the same. Also, the altercation with Revis will still happen, but differently, this time, there'll be no OCs there as they're just a whole 'nother can of worms so I'll abandon the idea of writing an OC altogether, also the attack on the surface while the expedition force is returning may as well have never occurred, because I just kind of initially thought it'll be a good way to spice up the story in the beginning, but genuinely struggled on how to reconcile it with the bigger picture, I did have an idea on how to do it, but it didn't work out, so I ultimately decided to scrap that part altogether and rewrite everything from that point on, I've got a few chapters worth of ideas written down so hopefully it goes well, I've mulled over this for a while and so far I'm kinda liking where it's currently headed, but I'm still ultimately trying to figure out the general plot and how to conclude the fic, but overall it's going pretty well for now. The Rakian invasion of Orario will also still happen but with a few changes. So far, that's all I wanted to say about the rewrite, I'll be updating this story pretty slowly, probably one chapter per week, which feels kinda of slow to me personally, but probably not for you seasoned veterans out there, it means I still have a ways to go in the art of good and worthwhile storytelling, since classes don't start until mid-January and even then my schedule(hopefully) won't be hectic, I could probably find the time to write out the plot, rehash ideas and write out the chapters, I'll be taking my time with this one this time.
Also, concerning my second story, I have two ideas for it, I've already written most of the last chapter for it long ago, but haven't concluded it yet because it kinda sucked, so I'm guessing I'll rewrite just the last chapter or reimagine the story entirely because even if it was just a cute, short story about a saint and her dear rabbit, it was kind of lacking in depth imo, but I'll let you guys decide, was the story good enough that I should just conclude it already? or should I rewrite the story as well?
