Dean POV...
"No response, pulse is weak."
"BP's 60 over 30."
I hear as I slowly regain consciousness but the voices are muffled
"Pupils fixed and dialated"
"Hold him down."
I see bright lights above me and a couple of medical people, "Hey." I said but they ignored me.
"Three, two, one, set!" The doctor says and suddenly I feel a very sharp cracking pain in my leg and I jolt upright.
"Aaaaargh!"
"Nurse!" The doctor yelled and two men held me back as one pushed me back down, "Just relax."
"Where am I?" I asked her
"You're at the hospital."
"Which one?" I asked, despite the agonizing pain in my leg.
"Sioux Falls General." The doctor told me as a nurse gives me a shot
"Where are my siblings? We got to go." I say as I tried to move but they kept me held down
"Your sister is getting X-rayed for her ribs and is in a coma. Your brother bashed his head quite seriously, he's gone up for an MRI."
"Okay. I got to go." I said trying to get up again but the male nurse pushed me back down.
"You're not going anywhere on this leg, buddy. Relax." The doctor told me and I feel myself getting sleepy and everything goes black as I pass out.
I slowly open my eyes again and hear noises out in the hallway, I turn my head and see a sign in my room with Sioux Fall General under it, "Oh, no, no, no." I pull a drip out of my arm and tried to get up but fell to the floor with a yell. I look over and see that my right leg is in a cast, "What?" I asked aloud then the door to my room opens and I see Bobby standing there, I looked at him shocked.
"You okay?" He asked
"Bobby, you're alive."
"'Course I am. Why are you on the floor?" He asks moving over to help me up
"They gave me morphine. A lot." I tell him and he moved me back to the bed, "Hey, look, a monster broke my leg. Oh. Wait... the house. We thought you were dead."
"Well, I ain't. Not yet. But we got to run. This place ain't safe. I've already got Alexis but where's Sam?" He asked handing me my clothes.
"Uh... Head scan, I think." I tell him
"Meet me at the ambulance dock, stat. I'll find Sam."
"Wait, where? Bobby, I'm a gimp." I tell him indicating to my leg and Bobby brings me crutches.
"Hey." Bobby says and pats my cheek several times smiling at me then left the room.
I open my hospital room door after getting dressed and peaked into the hall but everything was still a bit fuzzy, but I shook my head and proceeded to move down the hall passing doctors and workers but tried to stay calm. I found the hall leading me to the docks and continued. I eventually made it outside and saw the ambulance Bobby had, opening the passenger door I crawled in and shut it, "Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!" I urge him and Bobby accelerates away. I see a doctor and a nurse run after the ambulance for a short distance before we get away. I looked in the back and made sure both Sammy and Lexi were back there, and they were but both of them are unconscious, at least they were safe.
Three weeks later...
Sam is reading at the table while I was watching television at Rufus's cabin we were staying in. Unfournately, Lexi was still in a coma in the other room which worried all of us but I know she's tough, she'll pull out of it. On the screen, a woman is crying over a man's body. The front door open and I see Bobby walk in, "Dude... Ricardo." I say to him and he moved over to me.
"What happened?" He asks
"Suicidio."
"Adiós, ese." He said and I shake my head. Yeah I'm a tough man but I'll admit, it's a guilty pleasure, "Well, this ought to cheer you up." He says handing me my car keys and I felt relieved.
"My baby! Now I just got to get this stupid thing off and I can drive again."
"So how is it out there?" Sam asked
"Weird with a side order of bloody. Talked to a few hunters. They're running into the same kind of thing that set up shop at that hospital."
"Yeah, and don't forget tried to kill us at your place." I pointed out.
"Well, consensus is they're, um, they're like shapeshifters only a lot more into eating folk. And nothing can kill 'em." Bobby explained
"Good times. Anything else?" I asked him
"Yep. They bleed black goo."
"Like that stuff that came out of Cas – those things from Purgatory. Uh... Leviathan." Sam says
"Yep."
"What about those chompers that you and the Sheriff saw at the hospital? They still making spleenburgers?" I asked Bobby
"Yeah, made some calls. That Doctor never showed back up to work. Ditto a nurse and some administrator."
"So they could be at any hospital in America." I point out
"Yeah."
"What do you think, Sammy?" I asked and looke over at him but he seemed out of it, "Sammy? Sam." I said but got no response still and I looked at Bobby then back at Sam, "Sam. Hey, ground control! Sam!" I said louder and I see him push on his hand then look at me.
"Yeah. What? I'm – I'm right here."
"You okay?" I ask him
"Yeah. I'm fine." He tells us and we sit there looking at him for a moment before Bobby spoke up.
"Good. Every last bit of info I ever had burned down, so..."
"What about this place? Rufus leave anything? Did you check the basement?" I asked him
"C-rations and dust. I don't think he'd been here in years. So, I got to go round up my old library."
"I thought you said most of those books were one-of-a-kind." Sam mentioned
"Yeah. That's why I stashed copies all over the place."
"Okay, good. Um... Hey, uh, two-legs. We're fresh out of grub. Want to make a run?" I asked Sam
"Sure. Yeah." He replied and I tossed him the keys to the car.
"Be careful with her, would you?," I tell him and he grabs his coat getting ready to head out, "And, uh, Sam?"
"Yeah?"
"Pie." I tell him and he chuckled
"Obviously." He says and left then I looked over at Bobby.
"So?" I asked him
"So what?"
"Before you bail again – "Girl, Interrupted" over there. Any thoughts?" I asked
"Looks to me like he's doing better."
"Better? What do you mean, better? You just saw him!" I say concerned
"Saw him check out once. That's progress."
"You're kidding!" I say in disbelief
"Look, seems to me that Sam's head ain't no different than your leg and what Lexi has to overcome. People heal on a curve."
"Not diff– Bobby, I get this thing off in five days, I'm golden, Lexi is gonna wake up soon and gonna need a few more days because of her ribs. Sam's not a curve. He's a frickin' time bomb." I tell him
"It ain't like he's keeping secrets. What you see is what you get. What's so nuts about calling an upswing?"
"Because that's not how it works, Bobby, ever! All right? Especially not with Sam. The other shoe is gonna drop. It's just a matter of when." I said
"Okay. How 'bout we worry about today's problems? And today, we need intel. I'm going. You sit there, stew and keep an eye on your sister cause she could wake up at any moment. I'll check in. Look... you sitting here wringing your hands ain't gonna do nothing. Maybe he'll surprise you." Bobby told me and leaves.
After I did my best to peak in on Lexi, I could see she was still out, but I could see she was still breathing so that was a good sign. Just then the door opens, and Sam walked in putting a shopping bag on the table near me and I reached over grabbing it, "Ah, thank you." I said looking through the bag.
"Yep." He says and I turn off the TV, "Where's Bobby? He take off?"
"Yeah. Hey, Sam, how you doing?" I ask him
"Fine. How's Lexi doing?"
"Still out but seems to be breathing still. Are you sure? I mean, you still, you know..." I start to say
"Yeah, no, I – I know what you mean. Yeah, I'm – I'm still seeing crap that's not real. But, yeah, I'm fine. I mean, I can tell the difference."
"Think it's getting better?" I ask
"Honestly? Uh... I don't know. I just know I'm managing it, so... So don't worry." He tells me and I continue to look through the bag.
"Where's the pie?" I asked looking over at him holding a container with a slice of cake.
"I got cake. It's close enough, right?" He asked and I stared at the slice.
I wake up and look around the cabin not seeing Sam around but saw a note on the table, I picked it up and read it Back in a few days. I'm fine. Sam, "Damn it." I grumbled and picked up my phone dialing Bobby, "Other shoe!" I tell him as he answered.
"Other who?"
"Sam. He took off." I said
"Where?"
"I don't know. Nowhere good." I say
"Well, maybe he needed a little "me-time.'"
"Yeah, but his me-time ain't just him. I mean, for all we know he's road trippin' with Lucifer somewhere. Left me here like Jimmy friggin' Stewart." " I point out standing up using a make-shift crutch
"I assume you called."
"Straight to voicemail. He turned his GPS off, too." I mention, "And he took my car!"
"Don't panic."
"Too late!" I yell as I peaked in on Lexi
"Look, he says he's okay, so give it a couple of days. Just till you get the cast off, then hunt him down. Till then, we'll both just keep calling."
"All right." I said and hung up, Screw that, I thought and grabbed a small saw turning it on and looked at my cast, "You're goin' down." I said to it and cut into the cast. After I get it off I take a few moments to stretch it out and get used to it, hurt like hell but right now that didn't matter. I walked into the room Lexi was in checking her over making sure she was still breathing and left a note next to her bed, seems dumb but in the off chance she wakes up I don't want her to be concerned about why no one was there, "Come back Lexi, we need you." I tell her and bend down giving a kiss on her forehead then left.
I pull up to the Gas & Sip in the spare car we had and walked in heading up to the register, "How you doing? Uh, was there a, uh, big guy in here yesterday?" I asked the clerk.
"That's specific."
"Uh, I mean big. Like about yea high?" I asked indicating my hand above me a bit.
"Yeah, maybe. Uh, brown hair?"
"Yes! Yes. That's him. Do you, uh – you remember what he bought?" I asked him
"Snacks, maybe?"
"How about a paper? Do you have yesterday's paper?" I asked, this was getting frustrating
"Yeah, right there." He said pointing them out to me. I picks one up and read The Ice Pick Killer headline.
"Do you mind?" I asked holding it up then walked out
Lexi POV
Dream state...
I sat there on the dock in a chair with my eyes closed feeling the sun on me, listening to the waves of the lake crash to the shore, "Alexis." I hear a voice say and I lifted up my sunglasses seeing Cas standing there.
"Cas?" I asked then got up moving over to him and wrapped him in a hug, "How are you here?" I ask pulling away looking at him while smiling, "You-you were dead, the-the Leviathan took you over and-and.."
"It's ok Alexis, I'm here. That's what matters." He tells me and puts his hand on my face, I close my eyes to the touch feeling his skin touch mine.
"Cas.." I said placing my hand on his, but I couldn't say anything else, I just opened my eyes and looked into his, "I miss you, so much." I tell him and he moves closer to me.
"I'm right here Alexis." He says and leaned in towards me. Next thing I knew he moved his face to mine and connected our lips, I didn't flinch or tense up, instead I melted into the kiss and moved my arms around his neck as he places his on my waist. I felt so much surge through my body, electricity, warmth, comfort. I didn't want it to end, our hands moved across each other as our lips fell into sync with each other, it was pure bliss. Reluctantly we pulled away from each other and I smiled at him. Then suddenly my smile turned to fear when I saw black vein lines go up his neck, much like they did when he had the Leviathan were in him and I backed away.
"No.." I said and he gave an evil smile.
"What's the matter Alexis? Aren't you happy to see me?" He asked as he moved closer.
"You're not Cas." I tell him backing away but he just kept moving closer, I took off into a run heading into the woods near me looking back to see Cas slowly following me. I looked back forward and the next thing I knew I bumped into him.
"Alexis, it's me." He says but now he was changing more, black ooze was comingout of him just like before. I moved away but tripped on a root behind me and scooted back as he walked over to me, I managed to get up and run back towards the lake then I saw Cas in front of me again but this time I grabbed a small pipe next to me and swung it hitting him in the face and he stumbled back then came at me again but as I swung again he grabbed the pipe bending my wrist to make me drop it then put his hand on my throat as more ooze came out of him, "You can't stop us." He says and I feel myself slowly lose consciousness.
...
Next thing I knew I woke up, but this time everything was different, I was in a cage. I looked around and saw torches on the walls. I saw that I was sitting on a floor covered in hay, as I stood up I looked down and saw I was wearing an old looking dress, if I had to guess it was from the late 1600's, "The hell?" I said to myself then walked over the the bars of the cage. I heard chatter outside then heard footsteps coming over to me and noticed the 2 men were dressed in the same era clothing as me.
"Let's go witch." One said and I looked at him confused as the other opened my cage door, I went to try and get past them but my hands were held down by chains, the one guard unhooked me and yanked me forward to follow them.
I got led outside and saw a small group of people making a path for us, "Burn her!"
"Witch!"
"Burn in hell Demon!"
I heard the crowd yell and I just kept looking around them confused as I got led up to a pyre, as soon as I saw it I started to struggle to get away but the guy holding the chain was stronger and moved me to the pyre taking the chain and tying my hands behind my back with a rope then took the chain off.
"What's going on?" I asked but he walked away and another man approached me
"Tabitha Winchester, you stand here tonight under the accusation of witchcraft and have been found guilty. Do you have any last words before the fires of hell consume thee?"
I still had no idea what's going on, I couldn't even speak but before I knew it, words came out of me that weren't my own, "I shall say this, you may burn me alive, but my daughters and granddaughters shall live on forever as well as the magic that flows through our veins. Many generations after me shall live on." The voice stop and the man in front of me grabbed a torch and placed it on the pyre, the flames started up towards me and I moved to try and get away but I was trapped as they neared my dress and I felt the fire on my skin. It climbed up my body and I closed my eyes feeling nothing but pain as I screamed.
"AHHHHHHHH!"
...
I woke up in a panic feeling my whole body with my hands panting hard and sweating. After I realized I was fine I took a moment then looked around, I wasn't in that place anymore or at the lake before that, I was in a child's room, my old room that I shared with Dean when we were kids. I got out of the bed and walked over to a mirror on the desk I had, I saw that I was 3 years old again. Suddenly my door opened and I looked over seeing my mom standing there, "Mom?" I asked and she smiled.
"Hey sweetie, look who got up from her nap early." She says walking over to me and picked me up, "Want some lunch? Your brothers are already downstairs." She says and I wrapped my arms around her in a hug, "Oh, did someone have a bad dream?" She asked but all I could do was nod my head, "Oh sweetie, it's just a dream. Remember what I always say?" She asked but I drew a blank, "Dreams only hold power over us if we give them the strength." She says and I look at her, "Now how about some delicious lunch? I made your favorite." She tells me and I smile at her as she brings me downstairs where I see 4 year old Dean sitting at the table and Sam is in a crib in the living room. Mom placed me down at the table and placed my bowl in front of me, mac and cheese with little cut up hot dogs in it, I love how mom made this, "How about we all eat our lunch then go take a trip to the park?" She asked and I nodded my head taking a bite looking over at Dean who did the same.
Later that night mom brings us into Sam's room to say good night, I know this night, this is the night we lost her, "Come on you two, let's say good night to your brother." Mom says to us and turns on the lights to the nursery of Sam's room, who is lying in his crib and looking over at all of us. Mom sets Dean down who leans over the side of the crib and kisses Sam on the forehead, then mom helped me up and I did the same thing.
"'Night, Sam." me and Dean say at the same time then mom leans over Sam as well.
"Good night, love." She says and brushes Sam's hair back then kisses his forehead.
"Hey, Dean. Hi Lexi" I heard from the door and turn to see dad standing in the doorway
"Daddy!" I yelled and rushed over to him followed by Dean and he picked us both up
"Hey, buddy." He says and kissed Dean's head, "Hi princess." He tells me and I smile at him, "So what do you think you two? You think Sammy's ready to toss around a football yet?" He asked us and we shake our heads laughing.
"No, Daddy." Dean told him and dad laughs. mom passes us on the way out of the room.
"You got them?" She asked him
"I got 'em." He answered and hugged us both again, "Sweet dreams, Sam." Dad tells Sam then left the room with us both bringing us to our room and tucked us in.
I suddenly wake up hearing dad yell, I get out of bed following Dean and walk into the hallway seeing dad rush out of Sam's room, "Daddy!" Dean yelled and dad put Sam into his arms
"Take your brother and sister outside as fast as you can and don't look back! Now, Dean, go!" Dad ordered and we ran out of the house with Dean holding Sam then stood in the front yard watching.
"It's okay, Sammy." Dean says to him then suddenly our dad came running out and scooped all three of us up and kept running away to the street where we stood by dad's car after the fire department got there and put the fire out. This was a memory, a horrible, painful memory. I don't know what is going on.
"Come back Lexi, we need you." I hear an older Dean say and I look around
"Dean?" I asked but I got pulled into a different dream.
...
"Happy birthday Lexi." Dad said to me as we all sat at a table in some cheap motel room, I looked around confused then saw dad holding a small wrapped gift. I had just turned 16 and it was the first time dad actually was around to celebrate it with us. I took the box from him and opened up revealing the necklace I wore now, "This was my grandmothers, it's been passed down for many generations to the women in our family, my family." He tells me and I smiled then looked at him.
"I love it Dad, thank you." I tell him and I hugged him tight then he was gone and I was in the room alone, "Dad? Sam? Dean?" I asked getting up and looking around.
"Hello Alexis." I heard behind me and I turned seeing Cas again so I backed up moving away from him.
"Get away from me, you're not Cas."
"I'm confused, what do you mean?" He asked moving closer and I backed up until I was against a wall.
"You're the Leviathan, you're not Cas!" I yelled and he stopped.
"It's me Alexis. I'm not, I'm not the Leviathan."
"Prove it." I tell him and he shifted his head looking at me confused, "I said prove it!" I tell him again and it looked like he was thinking.
"You're in a coma Alexis, the Leviathan attacked you, Sam and Dean. Try to remember." He tells me and I think.
A Leviathan standing near Sam, me shooting it but having no effect and his face transformed then he grabbed my throat and threw me through a car window and I blacked out
"Oh god, Sam, Dean?" I said and looked at Cas, "But how are you here? You're dead."
"I'm not really here Alexis, I'm apart of your subonscious."
"So what, is this some kind of bizzaro dream world? Am I dead? What?" I asked him.
"You're not dead, but you are stuck in an inbetween point. Between living and dead."
"So how do I get back?" I asked and he walked over to me.
"You have to focus, pull yourself out of your dream state."
"How do I do that? Pinch myself? Throw myself off of a bridge?" I asked then I thought about it, "Wait, throw myself off a bridge. That could work."
"What do you mean?"
"When humans fall asleep and they have a dream where their falling they suddenly wake up. It's the brains way of protecting you so that you don't die in your sleep." I point out and head to the door.
"Are you sure that will work?"
"Not at all but I have to try something." I said and walked out the door heading to the impala getting in it and driving off.
...
I came up on a bridge that I pulled from memory and got out of the car moving over to it, "Perfect." I said seeing that it was a fair distance from the ground. Just as I was about to climb over I feel a hand on my shoulder pulling me back and I saw Cas standing there but it wasn't the one I was just with, it was the Leviathan. I moved back from him and he smiled at me getting closer.
"You're not going anywhere, you belong with me now."
"Like hell I do, as far as I know Leviathan can't enter dreams, you're not real but I am, and I'm going home." I tell him and I kicked him in the gut then headed to the rail of the bridge again climbing over it but hands grabbed me again.
"You're not going anywhere."
"Wanna bet?" I asked him and grabbed his coat pulling him with me as we both started to fall. Suddenly my eyes opened and I looked around confused. I saw what looked like a cabin around me. Despite my head spinning I tried to get up but stopped when I felt a sharp pain shoot through my ribs and I laid back down. I looked over at a table next to me seeing a piece of paper, picking it up I saw a message from Dean telling me he went after Sam and he would explain it all later but to call Bobby. I reached over grabbing my phone and dialed Bobby's number.
"Alexis?" I heard Bobby ask as he answered.
"Bobby? Where is everyone?" I asked but my throat was hoarse.
"It's a long story, I'm happy to hear you are awake are you ok?"
"Uh, that's an understatement." I tell him looking around, "I feel like I got thrown off a bridge." Not completely untrue, "Where are you?" I asked
"Not to far away, I'll head back, just take it easy and don't move. I'll call Dean and let him know you're awake. Just get some rest."
"Bobby no offense but I rested enough, my ribs are what's holding me back right now."
"Even still, keep your ass in that bed and I'll be there soon." He told me and hung up
"Yes dad" I said and put my phone down.
Dean POV...
"This is the one he asked to see." The coroner told me as I looked at the dead body Sam looked at.
"Great, great. Uh, let me ask you, did he do anything to it?"
"No. He just asked a few questions about the other vics – missing pituitary glands and so forth."
"Son of a bitch." I said
"Sam's chasin' a what?" Bobby asked me over the phone, he told me he was about to call me cause Lexi finally woke up, while I was thrilled, I had to focus on Sam right now.
"A Kitsune. It's pretty rare. Dad and I hunted one back in '98."
"Vaguely rings a bell." He says
"Yeah, didn't make our highlight reel."
"Well, least now we know he's working a job." Bobby pointed out
"Yeah, but why pull the Houdini act?"
"Not a clue. What are you gonna do when you catch up?" He asked
"I got a few ideas."
I stood there waiting in Sam's hotel room when I hear keys jingling so I moved to the door as it unlocks then opens revealing Sam, I punched him in the face and Sam falls backwards into plants, "Howdy, Sam."
"New rule. You steal my baby, you get punched. The hell were you thinking, Sam, running off like that? I mean, for all I know, Satan could have been callin' your plays." I tell him as he opened up the mini fridge grabbing out a can of soda and holds it to his head.
"Dean, look, how many times do I have to tell you? I'm fine."
"Oh, yeah, no, you're a poster boy for mental health. You have any idea the kind of horror shows I had going on in my head?" I asked him
"Dean, I left you a note. There was a job in town. A Kitsune. "
"Yeah. Yeah. No, I know. And you ignore Bobby and I's phone calls why, exactly?" I ask
"Because I wanted to take care of it. And I did. I took care of it."
"Really?" I asked unconvinced
"Yes."
"Where's the body?" I ask
"There is no body." He says
"Why not?"
"Because I let her go. She's gone." He tells me and I couldn't believe what I was heard
"You what? Why?"
"You never told me that." I say to him
"I never told anyone. I mean, can you imagine what Dad would have done?"
"So you saw the article in the newspaper, and you just bolted." I point out
"It was my mess."
"And you call letting her go cleaning it up?" I asked him
She killed her own mom, Dean, to save me."
"I hear you, Sam. I do. But look at her now. She's dropping bodies, man... Which means we got to drop her, no matter how many merit badges she racked up when she was a kid. I'm sorry, but it's that simple." I tell him
"Nothing in our lives is simple."
"Look, man, I get it, okay? You meet a girl, you feel that spark – there's nothing better. But this freak?" I asked him as he grabs his jacket and gets up from a chair at the table, "I didn't mean –"
"Yeah, you did. Look, I see the way you look at me, Dean, like I'm a grenade and you're waiting for me to go off."
"Sam –" I started to say
"I'm not going off. Look, I might be a freak, but that's not the same as dangerous."
"I didn't say –" I started again
"It's okay. Say it. I've spent a lot of my life trying to be normal, but come on. I'm not normal. Look at all the crap I've done, look at me now. I'm a grade-A freak. But I'm managing it. And so is Amy."
"Is she? How?" I asked
"She works at a damn funeral home so she doesn't have to kill anyone, Dean. She's figured out how to deal."
"Okay, well, then explain the bodies." I tell him
"She's done. Her friggin' kid was dying, Dean. Put you or me in her position, we'd probably do the Same thing. Look, you don't trust her. Fine. Trust me. Dean, please." He tells me and I think about it, I don't like it one bit, but it's something I have to do.
"Okay."
"Seriously?" He asked
"Got to start sometime, right?"
I'm on the phone while Sam is walking towards me carrying a shopping bag, "Bozeman. Right. Got it. Thanks." I said and hung up as Sam approached, "That was Bobby. Lexi is doing ok but she's gotta take it easy for now. We'll hole up in Spokane tonight. We'll meet him tomorrow. Why don't you drive?" I ask tossing him the keys.
"You gonna punch me again?" He asked but I just moved around to the passenger side.
We pull up to the motel and Sam parks the car, "Hey, why don't, uh – why don't you check us in? I got to hit the candy store." I tell him holding up my bottle of pills, "Doctor's orders." I said and he gets out of the car as I scoot over watching him walk in and I drive off.
I sat in a chair inside Amy's hotel room as she opens the door and walks in, she turned around to face me after seeing my reflection in the mirror, " Next time you run, you should change your license plates. Keeping the Same tags makes you easy to track."
"Who are –"
"I'm Sam's brother. And you are Amy Pond, the Bozeman mortician who went missing. There's people looking for you." I tell her standing up walking over to her.
"Sam sent you?"
"Sam doesn't know I'm here." I said
"But he told you. My son –"
"I know. I know. But people... They are who they are. No matter how hard you try, you are what you are. You will kill again." I say to her
"I won't. I swear.
"Trust me, I'm an expert. Maybe in a year, maybe ten. But eventually, the other shoe will drop. It always does." I said then I stabbed her, "I'm sorry." I say and I catch Amy as she falls and lowered her to the bed. I remove my knife, then turned to see Amy's son standing at the door and guilt hit me, "You got someone you can go to?" I asked him and he nods, "You ever kill anyone?" I asked and he shakes his head, "Well, if you do, I'll come back for you."
"The only person I'm gonna kill is you." He tells me
"Well, look me up in a few years. Assuming I live that long." I said then hold up my hands, one still holding the knife, and walked towards the door. The kid hurries to his mother's body while I pause at the door and watch them.
