Chapter 3: A Perfect Day For You!
It was August 16th and the royals of Arendelle were getting things ready for Queen Elsa's boyfriend's birthday celebration. Just like how she wanted things to go for Anna's birthday, she wanted to make sure things were as perfect as can be to show Jacob just how special he was to her and everyone else. Olaf was putting together a poster that had a bunch of pictures of Jake with all of them and wanted to make it look as creative as can be. Kristoff and Sven were in charge of getting the cake ready and delivered at the right time. Anna was helping Kai and Gerda get ready with all the preparations like food, seating arrangements, guest list, and lots of other things. Elsa was in charge of making sure everything goes according to plan, and that there were no flaws like what happened with Anna' birthday when she got sick. Jacob was still asleep as he got back to the castle pretty late after helping the Bat fight Penguin and had no idea any of what's going on was going. Elsa was overlooking the castle courtyard where everything was getting set up. She turned around and saw Kristoff and Sven coming towards her with the cake on Sven's back. "You order for one delicious chocolate cake, Your Majesty? Compliments of the kingdom's finest bakers.", Kristoff said. "It's about time. Go take it into the castle kitchen.", Elsa instructed. "You're welcome by the way.", Sven said sarcastically. "Sorry, guys. You know how I get when I want things to go as perfect as they possibly can.", Elsa said. "Relax, Els. Jacob will love all of it. Not as much as he loves you of course, but almost as much.", Kristoff said. "I hope so. The dear really deserves a nice day with all of us after being alone for so long.", Elsa said as she was referring to her boyfriend's life before she met him. Anna came out of the castle and ran up to her sister to give her updates regarding how things were going on her end. "Hey. Just so you know, Kai and Gerda are making sure there will be enough food for everyone in the kingdom. Everything should be ready on time.", Anna informed Elsa. "And they made sure to make everything he likes?", she asked while still acting like such a busybody perfectionist. "Yes. I'm sure things will go fine. He'll love it no matter what.", Anna said as she put her hand on Elsa's shoulder. "I really just want this to be a perfect day for him.", Elsa said. "It will, Elsa. Just to be sure, you're not feeling sick, right?", she asked. "No, I'm fine. I even checked my temperature this morning to be sure it won't be a repeat of your birthday.", Elsa said. "That's good to know. Just thought I'd ask.", Anna said as she was teasing Elsa. "Hopefully, nothing else unexpected happens. It is going on 10 now. I better go wake him up.", Elsa said as she went to go wake up her boyfriend for his birthday. "Olaf walked up to Anna and said, "He really does have a habit of sleeping in. Not surprising since I heard him come home really late last night.". "It seems like he's becoming more and more like his mentor. A real night owl.", Anna said. "Don't you mean bat?", Olaf asked. "Right. Or in his case, monkey. I mean lemur.", Anna said as she was correcting herself. She looked at the poster he was making and was really liking what she was seeing. "Aww, Olaf. That's such a nice poster.", she said. "You like it. I hope Jacob will too.", Olaf said. "I'm sure he will. Let me help you finish it up.", Anna said as he and Olaf finished the poster. Jacob was still sleeping upstairs in the castle and was unaware of Elsa sneaking into his room. She went over to his bed and whispered, "Jacob, it's morning. Time to wake up.". Jacob slightly woke up, but was still wanting to sleep more. "Do I have to? I want to sleep more.", he said in a half-asleep tone. Elsa smiled and said, "Now you're beginning to sound like Anna. Have you forgotten it's also your birthday today too?", she said. "So, that should give me rights to sleep at least 45 minutes longer.", he said while still not fully awake. Elsa had one last trick up her sleeve to get him out of bed this very moment. She formed a snowball in her hand and threw it at him. The impact, cold, and wetness of the ball hitting his head woke him up instantly. "Elsa, what the hell?!", he said as there was now wet snow in his hair and bed. "Now you're up. Can't be nocturnal forever.", she said. "okay, I'm up now.", Jacob said as he got out of bed. Elsa embraced him and brushed the snow out his hair and kissed him. "Happy birthday, handsome.", Elsa said lovingly. "Thank you.", he said as he went over to get his hairbrush. "So, how did last night go? Who did you wind up going after?", Elsa asked. "Me and Bruce went after the Penguin who was smuggling weapons into his club. Ugly bastard got what he deserved and is hopefully now rotting away in jail.", he said as he was brushing his bedhead away. "Penguin? He's the bird-looking guy with the umbrella, right?", she asked. "Yep. Now, he's a caged bird.", he said. "Why don't you get a shower and I'll meet you downstairs?", she suggested. "Okay. I'll see you soon.", Jacob said. "Great. Don't take too long. I've got a big day planned for you.", Elsa said as she left the room. After he got a shower, Jacob met Elsa downstairs who was eagerly waiting for him. "So, what do you have in store, my queen?", he asked. "You're just about to see.", Elsa said. "You've never had a real birthday before; that's why I've got a good one in store. So, I'm here to celebrate and be your birthday date if I may.", she began to sing in her angelic voice. "I've got big plans; I've got surprises for you today. Nothing, but nothing's gonna get in our way. I've worked for weeks, planned everything within my power. And the best part is, it's all gonna start this very hour!", she sang as she led him outside. She was walking him through the kingdom the same way she did for Anna on her birthday while holding onto him close. "If someone wants to hold me back, I'd like to see them try. I'm on the birthday plan attack; I'm giving you the sun, moon, and sky!", she sang as everyone in town was outside to greet them. "I'm making today a perfect day for you! I'm making today a blast if it's the last thing I do! For everything you are to me and all you've been through, I'm making today a perfect day for you!", she said as began to dance with him in the town square next to the big fountain. "That sounds all very flattering, but what exactly does the perfect day involve?", he asked while holding her close. "Let's go see. It's right behind the gate doors.", she said as she got close to his face. She then whispered into his ear, "It's all to show how much I love you.". She led him to the gates where they stopped before she yelled, "Open the gates!". The gates opened and Jacob was amazed at the scene that was displayed. The huge poster that Olaf and Anna had just finished making covered a big chunk of the castle wall which reminisced all the good times he's had with everyone over the past 10 months. Everyone in the kingdom was there and yelled, "Happy birthday, Jacob!". In the front of them all were Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf who were the first to walk over and hug him. "Happy birthday, hun. Hope you like everything you see.", Anna said as she gave him a hug. Kristoff gave him a bro hug and said, "Happy birthday, bud. You deserve it.". "We made sure the cake's chocolate. Just as you like it.", Sven said. Olaf came over to give his bestie a big and warm hug. "I made the poster. Hope you like it.", Olaf said. "I love it all. I can't believe you all put this together for me. Thank you all so much", he said as tears were welling in his eyes. He really felt like he had found the perfect place to belong to, as well as the perfect people too. "We're making today a perfect day for you! A fabulous day in every way! Yes, we are making today a perfect day for you! We're making today a smiley face all shiny and new! There's a fine line between chaos and hullabaloo! So, we're making today a perfect day for you!", the kingdom all sang as one to their birthday boy. He felt kinda awkward getting all this attention from an entire kingdom, but it did feel good at the same time because he knew it couldn't have been possible without his soulmate, the queen herself. "This isn't all. We want to have a big birthday party tonight just for you. It's gonna go all night long!", Elsa said. "That sounds awesome!", Jacob said with enthusiasm. "But before that, the queen needs to blow the birthday bugle horn.", Elsa said as she went over to the bugle. She blew into it which caused a loud viking horn sound to be emitted throughout the kingdom. "That's to let everyone know my baby is turning 19!", she said. She went back over to give him lots of birthday love starting with a long passionate kiss right there and now. The entire kingdom went into the castle to begin the party as did Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf. "Okay, we'll be in the castle. We'll see you two in there when you're done making out.", Kristoff said to them as they went in. They held each other close as they continued to kiss each other for God knows how long before they went in to continue the festivities.
