Episode 5: The Advanced Guard

The five heroes arrive in the Skull Egg Zone, and are, well, confused to see how the place is. That also involves the strange environment of how this Zone is.

"Well that's not something you see every day," Mega Man says.

"I have to agree. This is a strange place," Mega Woman says.

"For dudes that call themselves 'geniuses'..." Sonic says, looking a bit disgusted, "Eggman and Wily sure have lousy taste."

"No kidding. This has to be the weirdest place I've ever seen. It's like this place is all topsy turvy," Eve says.

"I've seen some strange stuff in my time. Fought alien robots a few times. But I've never seen anything as weird as-" Mega Man says.

Suddenly, they hear a strange clunking sound.

Mega Man looks down "Huh." to see plant with Eggman's face.

"Meh. It's a Trippy Zone, but not as trippy as the Special Zone," Sonic says.

"'Zone'?" Mega woman questions.

"It's a Pocket Dimension," Eve says.

Then Tails explains, "See, our world exists in one dimension. You and your world exist in another all together. And this place is somewhere between our two worlds,."

Mega Man is shocked, "Wait - not just different WORLDS, but whole different UNIVERSES?!""

"Makes sense we don't have any animals like you on our world," Proto Man says.

Then Tails says, "And while we have some pretty advanced robotics on my world, they're nothing compared to you two!"

"I have to agree. And your world seems more futuristic than ours. Sort of," Eve replies.

"Can we hold the lecture for later?" Sonic speaks out, "We've got one good doc to save, two bad wants to stomp, and who knows what kind of badniks are in this crazy zone!"

But Rush pushes Sonic, causing him to yelp, "WHOA!"

Turns out, Rush pushes Sonic to save him from the blast.

They soon hear a familiar voice, "Darn it, Rush! Bad dog! That's a perfect shot!"

The group turns to see Copy Robot, and Copy Android is with him.

"Copy Robot!" Mega Man says, shocked.

"Ah-Ha! YOU'RE the one who zapped Silver! Man - you make Metal Sonic look original!" Sonic says.

"Guilty as charged," Copy sonic says with a bow. "Copy Android I had the pleasure of rounding up many more of your friends as well."

"Well then! All the more reason to kick you square in your Metal underpants!" Sonic says and speeds on.

"Get him! Mega Man says, hoping on Rush.

Mega Woman activates her boosters and flies off as Eve runs on the water.

Copy Android calls out, "Genesis unit ENGAGE!"

Hearing it makes Sonic think, "'Genesis' Wait, I remember…"

And soon, three robots appear. The monkey robot with a long stick is named Buster Rod G. The large blue boar robot is named Hyper Storm H. And Lastly, the green aquatic robot is named Mega Water S. All of them are ready to attack.

Meanwhile… somewhere in space.

A very large robotic red and blue being named Due is meditating in the cosmos

"Transition detected" Due says to himself.

Then he sees a message from Dr. Light, saying, "Duo! This is Dr. Light of Earth. We have just been attacked by strange robots. We have also experienced unexplained temporal shifts and other anomalies. We are in great need of your insight and help. Please return to Earth as soon as possible."

Sensing trouble, Duo makes his way back to Earth.

Back in the Skull Egg Zone, Mega Man and Copy Robot are fighting against one another.

"What happened, Mega-Moron? Did the Hedgehog knock your targeting out of alignment?" Copy Robot questions in laughs, "HAHAHA!"

You've impersonated me for the last time, Copy Robot! Mega Man says.

Sonic is battling against Buster Rod G.

"I've got the oddest sense of deja vu…" Sonic says, dodging Buster Rod's Attack.

Mega Water fires water, "They say robots can't drown. Let's test that!"

And Tails finds himself facing Hyper Storm.

Tails yelps, "Eep!"

Eve and Mega Woman work together to fight Copy Android, revealing that she has a double bladed sword as a weapon.

Copy Android says, "Surely I didn't expect to fight two swordsmen, this is an interesting twist."

"You both are double causing trouble," Mega Woman says.

"And you're about to get sliced to pieces," Eve angrily says.

Meanwhile, two small Chaos are watching. Nce is black with a beak and has a hard helmet with a propeller. The other looks similar to Cheese, but has a '+' sign on the head and is holding a video camera.

The Black Chao says, "Chao-Met? Chao-Tar Chao Met-Met!"

Aboard the Wily Egg

"Yes, yes, you're coming in fine," Wily says and laughs, "Whe-heh-heh! My Genesis Unit has them on the ropes! There's no way Mega Man or his friends will reach us in time!"

"If I had a nickel for every time I've said something like that…" Eggman replies.

"Masters?" Soon a voice says.

The pair turn to see Silver and Blaze walking in with the last Chaos Emerald. Eggman and Wily have managed to roboticized them into Roboticized Masters as well.

"Mission complete," Roboticized Blaze says, holding the Chaos Emerald.

Eggman laughs in excitement, "WHA-HAH-HA! This is it!" and takes the Emerald, "The final Chaos Emerald! Forget the Genesis Unit What's - A - Ma -Doodle - The REAL power just arrived!"

Wily replies, "Ahem."

"Oh, WHAT?!" Eggman questions.

"MY Genesis Unit is handling your arch-nemesis just fine, thank you!" Wily says, offended.

But then Eggman says, "That's fine, but it's the Chaos Emeralds from MY world that are necessary to our plans. You wouldn't even KNOWN it about me without MY gems!"

"We wouldn't HAVE them all without the roboticized masters based off MY robot master design!" Wily argues.

"Made possible with my roboticizer!" Eggman argues back.

Then the two glare at each other.

Then Wily says, "Fine! Whoever's nemesis manages to survive the longest can claim their world their superior."

"It's a bet," Eggman says.

Then the two shake hands on the bet.

Back in the Skull Egg Zone…

Eggman dodges Buster Rod's attack, "Nice moves buster!"

"That's 'Buster Rod G' to you, hedgehog!" Buster Rod says, and swings his staff.

"Nah, doesn't really roll off the tongue," Sonic says, and dodges the attack, "How about 'Kiki'? It's the name of a Monkey Badnik. Which I trash. A LOT."

"Is that a fact?" Buster Rod questions.

And soon enough, Buster Rod G. mananges to make copies of himself, surrounding Sonic.

"Uhhh… Tails? Little help?" Sonic calls out.

But Tails cries out "Kind of busy right now!"

Turns out Tails has his own hands full with Hyper Storm. He being pushed back by Hyper Storm's power, and soon sucked in.

"Awww… poor little fox havin' trouble?" Hyper Storm questions in a mocking tone.

Then Hyper Storm begins to suck Tails in.

"Ahhh! No No NO!" Tails cries out, trying to fly away.

But Storm's wind is too strong.

"Maybe you should come in-" Hyper Storm says, before punching Tails, "FOR A LANDING!"

Back to the fight with Mega Water and Proto Man.

"When Copy Robot assigned our targets, I admit I was concerned," Mega Water says, launching spears at Proto Man, "After all, you have quite the reputation."

Proto Man uses his shield to block the attack.

"But I can see now it was all-" Water Mega says, but yelps "- EEP!"

Before Proto Man blasts Mega Water, causing him to dodge and uses the water as a forcefield to block the rest of the attacks.

"I can see it was all talk!" Mega Water says.

Eve dodgers Copy Androids swing and Mega Woman uses her sword to deflect the attack. Eve then launches a Chaos Spear at Copy Android and charges in with her sword.

"So you're the other Ultimate Lifeform I heard a lot about. I have to admit, you're really tough, and skilled with a sword. However, I'll be able to pummel you to the ground, just like I did the same with that other black and red hedgehog before I captured him," Copy Android says with an evil grin.

This has Eve shocked in anger, "What?! You're the one who captured, Shadow!"

"I had a tough time until I had to beat him into unconsciousness before taking him. Sadly, we weren't able to get his bat friend," Copy Android sats.

Hearing this has made Eve furious, "I'm going to make you pay for that!" and ends up punching Copy Android in the face.

At the same time, Mega Man and Copy Robot continue to fire blasters, evenly matched. Copy Robot then dodges Mega Man's attack.

"It's useless, Rock! I'm your perfect copy! I know everything you're about to do before you even do it!" Copy Robot says.

Mega Man tries to attack, but Copy Man jumps off his board as Mega Man jumps on.

"Strange isn't it?" Copy Robot says, and grabs Rush. "Shot for shot, weapon for weapon… You've got nothing new to bring to the table!"

"WANNA BET!" Mega Man and suddenly, his armor begins to change into orange and white.

And with that, Mega Man blasts at Copy Robot, that is a powerful wind called Tail Wind.

That blows Copy Robot away, who is shocked, "Wh-where did you get tha-?!"

Soon, Copy Robot is blown away.

Mega Man hops on Rush as they fly to the other fight.

Mega Man calls out, "HYPER STORM!"

"Yeah?" Hyper Storm questions, looking around.

But realizes there's trouble, "Uh-oh."

Mega Man and Hyper Storm then fire their attacks, but Mega Man counters it.

Then Tails performs his spin attack at Hyper.

Hyper Storm cries out, "HEY! No Fair!"

"Got it from here, Tails?" Mega Man asks.

"Oh yeah," Tails says, and begins spin dashing.

Mega Man then heads to Buster Rod and performs the same attack.

But Buster counters by spinning his staff, "Ah-Ah-Ah! Saw you coming!"

But Sonic appears from behind, "Hey there, 'Kiki'."

"… Crud." Buster replies, realizing how much trouble he's in

Buster Rod tries to hit Sonic, but Sonic dodges, allowing Mega Man to strike the attack while his guard is down.

"'Crud' Huh? I like 'Kiki' better!" Sonic replies.

At the same time, Eve and Mega Woman continue to fight with Copy Android. Eve is actually going all force on her. Eve spin dash, uses her sword, Chaos Spear, and other attacks. Eve is also able to break Copy Android's sword into pieces. Then, a powerful Wind is able to send Copy Andrid back and slams her back against a wall nearby. The girls turn to see Mega Man with his new power.

While they regroup, Mega Water sees what's happening, "...My unit is gone…" Then his shield goes down, "...My shield is broken…"

Then sees Proto Man and he is not looking happy, especially since one of his spears has made a crack on his shield.

Then Water Mega Runs away, "THERE'S NO WAY I CAN WIN THIS!"

Proto Man simply blasts him down and huffs.

Mega Man changes back and says, ""Thanks for the new weapon, Tails! It's pretty powerful!"

"Thank you! You're the one who saved my life!" Tails says.

Then Sonic speaks out, "Hello? Forgetting someone?"

"Oh, yeah. I guess you helped too. Thanks, Sonic!" Tails says, patting Sonic's head.

"Don't patronize me!" Sonic says, annoyed.

Mega Woman turns to Eve, "Still, thanks for helping me fight Copy Android. She's really tough."

"I can tell. Plus, she so going to regret it for pounding by brother, Shadow like that," Eve says.

Soon, Proro Man walks over, "So… Copy Robot, Copy Android, and the Genesis Unit."

"Yeah I thought they'd taken care of them a long time ago," Mega Man says.

"Is there a problem with that?" Sonic says.

"Yes. They were destroyed," Eve says I.C Chips and everything."

"They shouldn't have been able to come back from that," Mega Man says.

"Dr. Wily couldn't just rebuild and reprogram them? Tails asks.

"No I.C Chips are too complicated to be reproduced," Proto Man answers, "He only succeeded in restoring a set once, and that was with CONSIDERABLE help."

"Something isn't right, here," Mega Woman says.

"I agree. Robots from the past showing up like this - it just doesn't add up…" Mega Man says.

"Okay so they're ghost robots - whatever they were a nice warm-up, but we need to get moving before the Docs send a REAL threat," Sonic says, stretching his legs.

"HA! You never stop, do you?" Mega Man says in remark.

But then Sonic says, "During the fight I got the strangest feeling. Like time and space had been manipulated like this before."

"I agree. I felt this strange feeling as well. Whatever happened must have had BOTH our worlds affected -" Eve says.

"And we know a certain morbidly obese evil doctor who is usually to blame for this sort of thing," Sonic says.

Then turns to Mega Man, "C'mon, let's go save your dad and the day. In that order,"

"Sounds like a plan!" Mega Man says.

The pair give a fist bump.

"But which way should we go…?" Mega Woman wonders.

Rush begins sniffing around, and soon points the way.

"Looks like Rush knows," Eve says.

"Great. Let's go," Mega Man says.

And with that, the group begins to head off to find the rest of Sonic and Eve's friends and possibly Eggman and Wily. Mega Man almost got hit by a flamethrower. Sonic ends up getting hit by an invisible block. Then the group bounces up with springed platforms and walk on the boardwalk

"If we get jumped by a whale out here, I swear…" Sonic says, frustrated.

"I'm sure we won't," Eve says.

"Chao," Jazz says, sticking out from Eve's bag.

Soon, Tails notices something and points out, "Look out there!"

They turn to see the Wily Egg floating in midair.

"Well, that certainly looks like a Flying Wily Castle," Mega Man says.

"And the Death Egg," Sonic adds.

I'm sure that's their base, but is it the base or one of many? And we've yet to run into any of our friends out here!" Tails says.

Suddenly, Rush lets out a growl from behind.

Proto Man looks behind and says, "HEADS UP!"

Everyone turns around to see trouble.

Eggman's voice is here to appear, "AWWWWW, does wittle Tails miss his wittle friends? Let's turn that frown upside down, whaddaya say?"

And what they see if Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily in hovercrafts. What shocked them is to see all their friends, now as the Roboticized Masters. Either way, this spells trouble.
