Episode 6: Friends or Foes

Soon enough, Sonic, Eve, Mega Man, Mega Woman, Rush, and Jazz find themselves fighting the Roboticized Masters of their friends. They try to defend themselves, but the Roboticized Masters are proven to be strong, especially when they're together.

"Enjoying our ROBOTICIZED MASTERS, everyone? Such an excellent design!" Eggman says.

"Such brilliant craftsmanship!" Wily says.

"They look just like Tails did in Mega City!" Mega Man says.

"And they look like my missing friends. Not hard to put two and two together, Mega Man," Sonic says.

"No kidding. Even Roboticized, Shadow is still pretty strong, same with the others," Eve says.

"I can't believe they're able to capture them and turn them into robots," Mega Woman says.

"They used me as their first test subject for their new Roboticizer!" Tails says.

"No more tests! The process has been PERFECTED!" Eggman confirms.

"Presenting our glorious eight enforcers!" Wily says.

And that's right, Sonic and Eve's friends have become Roboticized Masters, just like Tails: Charmy Man, Espio Man, Vector Man, Blaze Woman, Silver Man, Shadow Man, Rose Woman, and lastly Knuckles Man.

Eggman then explains, "It was Albert he who provided the framework for the new designs. Why, if he hadn't found my missing blue Chaos Emerald, none of this would have ever happened!"

"Yes well, YOU knew how to harness its power and YOU provide the Roboticizer tech! You clever devil!" Wily says.

"Oh-ho-ho! DO go on!" Eggman says, feeling flattered.

Then Wily says, "You came up with the idea for this zone! "

"And you caught on expertly! You're amazingly brilliant!" Eggman says.

"Well, you're brilliantly amazing! "Wily comments.

"Genius! Eggman comments.

"Prodigy!" Wily comments.

Being grabbed by Vector Man, Sonic says, "I'm about to spew chili dogs all over this place. And I don't think he'll make it look any WORSE!"

"No kidding. I mean, seriously," Eve says, annoyed.

"Enough!" Mega Man says, blasting Vector Man, "We know you've been messing with space and time! What have you done with both our worlds?!"

"Try to keep up;" Wily says, he then explains, "While we were able to make a bridge between our worlds, elements between the two didn't easily sync up. A circuit failure here, a lapse in stability there…"

Then Eggman says, "But, by combining our technology in this middle ground zone and applying it to our robots, our Roboticized Masters easily travel between the worlds and collected all the chaos emeralds for us!"

"Wait what?!" Eve exclaims in shock.

"Chao?!" Even Jazz is shocked.

"You've already got them?!" Tails says, just as shocked.

"What's Chaos Emerald?" Mega Woman asks.

"They're very powerful gemstones from our world," Eve says.

"And lemme put it this way -" Sonic says, "What's your most powerful energy source?"

"Ah… There's these crystals we use called 'Energy Elements' I guess," Mega Man says.

"Okay whatever those are, multiply it by a billion and you've got the idea," Sonic says.

Then Eggman says, "Please. No interruptions."

Wily continues, "But since the search for the emeralds is complete, our minions you see here have a new purpose! They're going to DESTROY YOU!"

"And whoever survives the longest earns their homeworld some bragging points!" Eggman says. "Let the games BEGIN!"

Eve shouts, "Are you kidding me?! You two are using us to sort out some bet!"

"Unbelievable," Mega Woman mutters.

Proto Man agrees, "NO!" and pushes Shadow Man away with his shield before running off, "I'm not wasting my power fighting at some ridiculous tournament."

"RIDICULOUS?!" Wily exclaims.

"We need to divide the enemy. Not stand here and wear ourselves down. I'll scout the fortress ahead, try to draw some of them off - and see if I locate Dr. Light," Proto Man says. "I trust you can handle things?"

"Thanks. Be careful," Mega Man says.

"Be careful, Blues," Mega Woman says.

"Fight well," Proto Man says.

With that, Proto Man jumps off the ledge as he throws his shield down and uses it as a snowboard down the hill.

Wily scoffs, "Hmph! He never was much for cooperation not even as Break Man…"

"Regardless!" Eggman says, and commands, "EWN-001 though 005 -After him!"

"FIVE of them? Blues is strong but he's not -" Wily questions.

"You said Thomas Light was a liability! I'm not taking any chances!" Eggman says.

Then gives the command, "WWN-006 through 008 - Take care of THEM!"

Soon enough, Shadow Man, Rose Woman, Knuckles Man, Silver Man, and Blaze Woman head off after Proto Man, while Vector Man, Espio Man, and Charmy Man try to destroy the others. The others have no choice but to fight back.

Sonic asks, "You sure your bro will be okay?"

"Blues? On top of being tough, he's pretty clever. They'll never catch him! Even if they did, I think he could handle it," Mega Man says.

Tails calls out, "Hey! How did you guys stop me when I was, uh, 'Tails Man,' I guess?

"One of my charged shot -" Mega Man says, but yelps "Aah!"

And ducks under Vector Man's attack called Acoustic Blaster.

Mega Man continues, "-seems to disabled them briefly! And when I copied your weapon data, it changed you back. I guess the data-transfer causes a cascade failure in the roboticization process, but -" Just then, Mega Man realizes and calls out, "Sonic! "

"What?! Busy?!" Sonic cries out, dodging Espio Man.

"That spinny-thing you do added something to the effect of my charge shot! I think us working together could-" Mega Man says. But, "AUGH!" is striked by Vector Man's attack.

Then Sonic ends up getting kicked by Espio Man. Charmy Man fires Rapid Sting at Eve and Mega Woman, as they use their swords to block the attack.

"C'mon, guys! Fall back!" Tails calls out.

Everyone does just that. Eve then uses her Chaos Energy to create a bubble to prevent any attack and to keep them up float.

"Are you two okay?" Tails asks.

"Eh, I've been hit by worse," Sonic says.

"Same," Mega Man says, "Sonic, I need you to…"

But Sonic says, "What you need to do is take a page out of the doctors' playbook and mix it up. Tails, you miss a Rock's lemon shooter-"

"For the last time - they're not lemons!" Mega Woman says, annoyed.

"I don't think it matters at this point. Iget what we need to do. You and Mega Man need to have your blasters be able to use the charge shot while doing Spin Dash. With it, we can change the others back to normal when Sonic and I can't be there," Eve explains.

"Exactly," Sonic says.

"You can do that?" Mega Man and Mega Woman asks.

"I'll do what I can, I'm kind of a genius," Tails says.

Then turns to Sonic, "But what about you and Eve? "

"Easy. Eve and I can buy us some time," Sonic says.

"Let's do it," Eve says.

With that, Sonic and Eve speed to the Roboticized Masters for an attack.

Above…

"Let's leave them to their work. We need to get back to the Wiley Egg," Wily says.

"What? Why not take pot-shots at them while they're busy?" Eggman questions.

"Because until Proto Man is dealt with, we need to be in position to coordinate our forces," Wily says. "And I've had quite enough of him ruining my plans at the last minute."

"Ahhh, he's one of THOSE types," Eggman replies.

He then asks, "Did I ever. Did I ever tell you about this one lackey I had…?"

Then the pair take off back to the Wily Egg.

Meanwhile, Sonic, Eve, and Rush are trying to distract three of the Roboticized Masters.

"Y' know, this feels like a missed opportunity. You guys need some nicknames blast -" Sonic says, but Charmy Man begins blasting spikes.

"YOW!" Sonic yelps as he dodges.

"We should be out there helping them…" Mega Man says.

"Hold still! Nobody knows Sonic and Eve better than I do. All I need to do is get your Mega Buster's outputs magical properties of Sonic and Eve's spin dash," Tails says.

"...You can do that off the top of your head? You really are a genius!" Mega Man says, impressed.

"I do a lot of research," Tails says.

Eve quickly dodges Espio's kunai throws, but one mananges to scratch Eve's "Ow!"

Seeing what's happening, Mega Man cries out, "Hurry up, Tails!"

"I'm learning how you work while modding your system! Don't rush me!" Tails says.

"I know, but please hurry," Mega Woman says.

Vector Man mananges to grab Sonic. Charmy Man continues to throw the Rapid Stings as Eve uses her sword to block the attack.

Sonic says, "And you… you… I got nothin' except - I dunno - 'Vector Man' makes me think of a trash collector for some reason… "

"They're gonna KILL him!" Mega Woman cries out.

Finally, Tails is finished, "There! Try it NOW!"

With that, Mega Man fires a Charge Blast that is similar to Sonic's spin dash. It mananges to hit Vector Man, and in a matter of seconds, Vector is back to normal.

"...What in the name of…" Vector says, dizzy.

Soon, Sonic notices a green orb next to Vector, "Hmmm…"

Just then, Rush stomps on Vector as he chases after Espio Man. that causes the sphere to get used to Sonic.

Sonix throws it to Mega Man, "HERE! Use it for something!"

Mega Man catches the orb and it changes his armor to green.

While fixing Mega Woman's blaster, Tails says, "Vector's main traits are being strong, loud, and uh owing money. What kind of weapon would he give you?"

"We're about to find out!" Mega Man says.

With that, Mega Man fires the same Acoustic Blaster as Vector Man before. It mananges to strike at Charmy Man, causing him to go down and crashes to the ground.

"HA! That attack must have been this little guy's weakness!" Mega Man says.

"I'm surprised they have any weaknesses at all!" Tails replies.

Mega Woman giggles, "It's a long story, but Wiley does it out of habit by now. Believe me, it comes in handy."

With that, Mega Man uses his blaster to change him back.

Eve helps Charmy up and asks, "Are you okay, Charmy?"

"I don't feel good…" Charmy says, feeling sick.

Sonic is also helping Vector up.

Vector asks, "... Sonic. Was Charmy a robot just now?"

"Yep," Sonic answers.

Then Vector asks, "And another robot shot Robot Charmy with a laser spin dash and made him regular Charmy,"

"Yep. It's been like this ALL DAY," Sonic says.

"Uh-huh," Vector replies, still feeling sick, "Next time everyone goes missing, YOU and your sister find 'em yourselves."

Mega Man takes the Charmy Man's orb and says, "There was one more that wasn't there."

"Espio…" Eve says.

"You're right. He's a ninja… and can completely vanish," Tails says, finishing Mega Woman's blaster.

Soon, Rush begins sniffing around for him.

"Do you have his scent, boy?" Mega Man asks, "Track him down before he gets the drop on one of…" but suddenly, Rush points towards where Mega Man is, "...Us?"

Soon, Sonic spin dashes Espio.

"Hey guys! Shoot your 'Make-it-all-better' beam!" Sonic calls out.

"I got this!" Mega Woman says, and fires her charge blaster at Espio.

With one strike, Espio is back to normal

Sonic rushes over, "Hey, Espio. Have fun bein' a killer robot?"

"Ambushed, kidnapped, and rescued-via- pummeling how mortifying," Espio says, dizzy and in pain.

"Sorry if I was too rough," Mega Woman apologizes and helps Espio up, "I'm just now getting used to the mods tales made to my blaster."

"Ugh… no apologies needed," Espio says, "I owe you a debt of honor." He then gives Mega Woman the light purple orb, "Perhaps this will do as a start?"

"Of course, thank you," Mega Woman says. Then gain Espio Man's ability.

"AWESOME! Three new weapons all in one day! Saving the others just got a whole lot easier!" Mega Man says.

"I couldn't agree with you more. I may only got one, but it's a good start," Mega Woman says.

"We'll probably get more from the Roboticized Masters. And it will make it easier to save the others and rescue dad," Mega Man says.

Sonic crosses his arms, "Dude and his girlfriend get an arsenal handed to them, and their first thought is how they can use it to save our friends how…"

"Noble?" Eve replies.

"Endearing?" Tails replies.

But Sonic says, "Corny,"

You're jealous," Tails says.

"Of WHAT?" Sonic questions.

"He's cool, heroic, but doesn't have an ego the size of the moon," Tail says.

"Ego? EGO? I just know I'm awesome, that's all!" Sonic says.

"I know. Endlessly," Eve says.

Soon, the Chaotix walks to the two robots.

Vector says, "Look, I don't normally do this, but seein' as you kind of saved our lives and we're a long way from home, I'm offerin' you one case by The Chaotix for free."

"Wow, thanks! I don't know what a 'Chaotix,' is, but I appreciate it!" Mega Man says.

"We're world famous detectives!" Vector says.

"Sounds cool!" Mega Woman says, " In that case, maybe you can find Rocks' brother, Proto Man!"

"Hey - yeah! Proto-dude went looking for a way to the doctors' base, so the Chaotix can help him find it," Sonic says.

"Right!" Mega Man says, "And while the Chaotix back him up on that, we can track down the rest of the Roboticized Masters and keep them off their backs!"

"I like the way you think, kid. I mean process compute whatever it is you do," Sonic says.

Then Tails says, "And knowing the doctors, they'll probably send a couple of those Roboticized Masters our way just to slow us down,"

"Then we'd better get moving," Vector says, "Now - if only we knew where this base was, we could find this Proto-guy faster."

"I don't know, maybe it's the giant floating skull-egg thing in the sky?" Sonic replies, pointing to the Wily Egg.

"Yeah. You can't miss it," Eve replies.

Vector and the others look to see the Wily Egg

"Yeah I would have figured it out!" Vector says. And calls out, "Chaotix-LET'S MOVE!"

"ROGER!" Espio says.

"WOO-HOO!" Charmy cheers.

"Well then, it's best we get going," Mega Woman says.

"Yeah. We still got a few more Roboticized Masters to take out," Eve says.

Sonic turns to Mega Man "Still got enough juice blue bot?"

"More than enough, spikey!" Mega Man says, "LET'S GO!"

Soon, the group begins to head off to rescue the others while the Chaotix search for Proto Man. Unknown to them, a few flowers have been secretly monitoring the group and showing them to Eggman and Wily.

"WONDERFUL! We've lost track of Proto Man, Sonic and Mega Man are no worse for wear, and the Chaotix are back to normal!" Eggman shouts in anger.

Then turns to Wily, "Oh, Albert - since when can YOUR little blue nemesis reverse our ingenious designs?!"

"I don't know - but it's a moot point!" Wily says, "We may be down to five Roboticized Masters, but thanks to this zone, we can time-clone any of the dozens of Robot Masters I had in the past,"

Still I'm sending Shadow man to intercept our main problem," Eggman says.

Then Wily questions, "You mean MY Shadow Man or YOUR Shadow Man?"

The two think for a minute and answer, "BOTH!"

"Hmmm…" Eggman replies, "Better put Blaze Woman and Silver Man on stand-by. It spreads the search party thin, but…"

"Would you relax?" Wily says, "Yes, it looks like events are turning around at the eleventh hour again but, we need to keep things in perspective! We have countless robots at our command! We have this Glorious Flying Fortress! We have the Seven Chaos Emeralds, and they're already charging the final stage of our plan! Sonic and Eve, and Mega Man and Mega Woman are already too late!"

"Well… When you put it THAT way…" Eggman replies. "Just in case though, we should collaborate on a ludicrously massive and over-powered vehicle mayhem destruction - just in case they end up at our doorstep!"

"Now that's a fine idea! To the machine shop!" Wily says.

Then Eggman says, "I must say, Al, you always struck me as the more cautious of the two of us. Why the sudden change?"

After sipping his drink, Wily says, "Because Mega Man and Mega Woman have always had the help of one particular person in times of need… And we have that person locked up in our brig!"

Indeed, they have Dr. Light trapped in some containment capsule, being held prisoner.
