Couple Days Later…
Kol is very pleased that his human not, once, take off the mood ring when Lexi gave her couple days ago. He was also happy for his human who woke up and was excited when she got new friend and immediately text Lexi. Before Kol knew, Caroline and Lexi have been texting a lot for the past two days. He wouldn't be surprise if they become best friends right away.
Currently, he is walking next to Caroline and Elena as the girls are chatting for a while until the blonde-haired beauty mention about Damon wanted the necklace.
Elena frowned. "Have you talked Bonnie about this?"
"No. It's just weird. I don't know what to say." Caroline huffed as she brushes her hair away from her face while she and Elena heading to the school building. "What am I supposed to say? Hey Bonnie, I know that I said to toss it away or keep it or whatever you want with the necklace. But Damon has been an asshole and demanded me to steal the necklace. Oh and did you understand our history homework by the way?" Caroline sarcastically said with a fake-smile while Kol watches them with amused. He really enjoys listening to her sarcasm and her open-minded.
The brunette sighed. "Well, hopefully you will talk with her soon."
"That would be probably a good idea, love." Kol muttered, he also wants to know why that soon-to-be dead vampire so hell-bent on wanting the talisman back.
The blonde-haired beauty shakes her head. "Your turn. Where's Stefan? Have you talked to him?" Kol perked up with interested.
"He's avoiding me." Elena answered with disappointed and strain.
Caroline furrowed her eyebrows with confused. "Why?"
Kol watches how Elena hesitates for a moment as the girls paused near the entrance. "…it's complicated."
"Are you sure? I mean, Stefan seems to be pleasant mood on his birthday couple days ago." Caroline pointed it out, confused.
Elena turned her gaze to her with thoughtful. "Speaking of that. I saw you and them. Stefan and Lexi." She clarified.
"Really? Why didn't you join us? And you know Lexi?" Caroline's lips curls with big, excited smile when Elena nod her head slowly. "Because she's amazing! I've learned that we have quite bit of commons. Although, she's more of wild party gal." she informed the brunette happily as she recalled of the nonstop texting with her new friend. Kol hummed. "You both would be force tornado in party together." He muttered, perfectly recalled how his human and the blonde-haired vampire dance.
The doppelganger eyeing Caroline quietly then she opened her mouth. "Sounds like you and Lexi…are friends?"
Caroline nod her head with content. "Of course! We've been texting nonstop. It's a shame that she has to leave but I can understand that she wants to return her home and to her boyfriend." Then the bells ring to alert the students that classes will start soon. "Oh! Better head to class before we're being tardy." Elena just nodded her head and the girls walk in different direction.
Kol followed his human however, Caroline was nearly bumped by Matt. "Oh, sorry about that!"
Matt just shakes his head and smiles at her. "Hey."
"Hi." Caroline smiles friendly at him then quickly leave. Kol narrowed his eyes when he noticed Matt staring at her then walk away.
"Oh hell bloody no." Kol recognized that look on the bloke's face. It seems that Matt is started to noticed Caroline.
Kol doesn't want another competition. Not while he is stuck as transparent ghost.

Later…
Elena start preparing the plates, utensils, and napkins on the counter while Caroline who went restaurant to picked up the meals and Bonnie who is in the living room. Kol scanned around the doppelganger's house as he didn't get a chance last time he was here since he was busy worrying over his human who was compelled by that soon-to-be dead vampire.
"Are you gonna tell her?" the brunette whispered to the blonde-haired beauty who took out the container from the bag to the counter.
Caroline raise her eyebrow. "Why should I? I don't wanna freak her out." She hisses, not wanting to make Bonnie worried.
Kol spotted Bonnie walk in and noted that she doesn't have the necklace. "She doesn't have it with her." He muttered, offhandedly.
Elena gives the blonde-haired beauty's a look which Caroline rolled her eyes. She turned to Bonnie with a neutral smile. "Bonnie. Damon kept bothering me for wanting to return the ugly-ass necklace back." She blunted it, irritated at Elena but worried for Bonnie.
"I love how you have no filter." The transparent Original grinned at his human.
Bonnie grimaced with guilty. "Will you hate me if I tell you I threw it away?" Kol and Caroline stared at her with surprised.
"Seriously? Wouldn't that pissed Damon's off?" Caroline pointed it out with confused while Kol grinned darkly, he likes to have that asshole pissed off because it's bring him little bit of satisfied. "Why would you throw it away anyways?"
The petite witch bit her lip then sighed. "I know it sounds crazy, but the necklace was giving me nightmares. I had to get rid of it." She explained, looking weary.
Kol narrowed his eyes at her. "I wonder if that dead witch's talisman had communicated you…" it's not the first time he has met a witch who was haunted by their ancestors ghosts.
"Well… at least it'll piss him off." the blonde-haired beauty shrugged her shoulders which made Kol smirked at her proudly. "So, are we doing manicures or what? Who has their kit?"
The Original hummed with slight interested. "I wonder if I get to see girls' sleepover like… it would be interesting." He mused out loud.
"Mine's in my bag." Bonnie offered which Caroline nod her head.
Kol watches his human went to the table, grabbed Bonnie's bag, and start rifles through for the manicure kit. "So, Elena…" the brunette glanced up from opening the containers of foods with puzzled. "…how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it… like a permanent thing?"
"Disappointing. Stefan can do so much better than that doppelganger." The transparent ghost muttered as he leaned against the wall with arms crossed.
"I don't know Caroline." Elena answered with solemn as she picked up a piece of French fry and ate it.
The blonde-haired beauty paused with confused and hurt frowned on her face. "Why are you such a little liar, Bonnie?" she asked, hurt and angry which surprised the girls and Kol.
"What?" Bonnie blinked in shock while Elena stared at Caroline in astonished.
Caroline turned around while holding up the crystal with a raise eyebrow angrily.
Kol stared at the dangling necklace from Caroline's hand with intrigue. While Bonnie and Elena gape at it in disbelieved shocked.
"Well?" Caroline placed the necklace on the counter and leaned against the edge, waiting for the explanation.
The petite witch shakes her head. "I'm not lying to you, Caroline. I swear." She defended herself and Elena backed her up.
"it's true. I watched her throw it into a field."
Kol watches them quietly with thoughtful.
"Explain." Caroline crossed her arms with frustration and hurt. She doesn't like it when she busted her friends' lying to her, she doesn't like any liars unless it's for a really good reason.
Bonnie's lips firm together. "Emily." She answered and glanced at Elena who stared at her.
"Who's Emily?" Caroline asked, confused as she has no knowledge of any girls with that name.
"The ghost." The petite witch answered.
The blonde-haired beauty scoffed. "Oh, the ghost has a name now?"
"Love, all ghost had names." Kol muttered as he glanced over his human then back to Bonnie Bennett with curious. He knew the Bennett Coven has very powerful magic so he wouldn't be surprise one of the Bennett ancestor attempt to communicate with Bonnie.
Bonnie turned her attention Elena. "I wonder why she won't leave me alone." Elena shrugged her shoulders while Caroline's gaze shifted back and forth of her two best friends then released her frustrated sighed.
"What is going on? Why am I not a part of this conversation? You guys do this to me all the time." Caroline huffed, angrily.
Elena protested. "That's not true."
"Yes it is." Bonnie said truthfully with a glance at the brunette then shifted her eyes to Caroline. "I can't talk to you. You don't listen."
The blonde-haired beauty shakes her head. "That's not true."
"I'm a witch." Bonnie blunted with a serious face.
"Well, that's one way to tell someone." Kol murmured as he knew his human enough that she didn't believe Bonnie. Not yet.
Caroline glanced at Elena and Bonnie with a confused face. "And don't we all know it?" she asked, perplexed.
"See?" the tiny witch shoves herself away from the counter that she was leaning on. "That's what I'm talking about. I'm trying to tell you something. You don't even hear it." She turned around and walked away.
"I listen." Caroline protests but Bonnie ignores her, so she turned to Elena with confused. "When do I not listen?"
"Oh darling… it's not about that you listen, it's about you hear the words and take it to consider." The bad boy Original commented calmly. As he wondered if his human would believe there's a ghost who is haunting her for months now.

After a moment of talking with Elena, Caroline went to the living room where Bonnie is sitting alone. Kol watches his human quietly. "Bonnie. Look, it's just not me. I don't believe in the…" Caroline made gestures with her hands and mimic the ghost noises which slightly amused Kol. "…woo woo. But, if you do, then… okay, I'm in." Bonnie shifted her brown eyes to blue-green eyes that Caroline who is genuinely sincere. "That's all it takes for me to jump on board, because I consider you to be my best friend. And I'm saying this, knowing that Elena's in the kitchen listening to my every word."
"No doubt it, sweetheart." Kol snorted, he isn't surprised to learn the doppelganger is an eavesdropper. Must be in Petrova's blood.
Caroline continued as she steps forward and sat on the couch. Bonnie turned sideways so she can focus on her best friend's words. "Look, I didn't know how real this was for you, but I'm listening now. Okay?" she opened her palm that was holding the necklace to Bonnie.
The petite witch stared at it for a moment then grabbed it not unkindly with a smile. She accepted the blonde-haired beauty's apologies.
Kol half-grinned when he watches how his human's brighten up with a smile as her eyes lit up. Caroline turned her head over her shoulder. "Elena, you can come in now. We're done." She called out to the other room. Elena peeks out sheepishly with a shy smile. The brunette walked toward them and sat on the arms of a couch. "There is just way too much drama in this room." Caroline commented with brings her best friends agreed.
"Oh that is drama?" Kol shakes his head. "I don't know whether to find it jealous or not since my brothers and sister are much, much more overdramatic which I thought was a normal level of drama." He muttered.
Caroline cleared her throat and glanced at her best friends. "So, what do you guys wanna do?" the girls shrugged until the blonde-haired beauty gasped with realization. "I have an idea. Why don't we have a séance?"
Kol perked up. "Brilliant idea, love!" maybe he could take this opportunity to communicate with his human.
Elena and Bonnie exchanged nervous glances while Caroline grinned widely as she stood up from the couch. "I don't think that's a good idea." Bonnie protested nervously.
"Yes it is." Kol rebutted. "I want to communicate with my human so please, do it."
Caroline rolls her eyes when she noticed how tenses her friends are being while she walked around the couch. "Come on. Let's summon some spirits." She placed her hands on her hips with a cock eyebrow. "This Emily chick has some serious explaining to do."
"And I want to talk to you, darling. As you are not the only one who is haunting by a ghost." Kol won't lose this chance. He has been wanting to communicate with Caroline for a while and he won't let this opportunity slip away.

Elena's Bedroom
Later…
Kol watches the candles lit up in the dark room with three girls sitting around with their hands holding. The petite witch shakes her head with skeptical and nervous. "What are we doing?"
"I don't know." Elena has no idea how they all ended up doing this situation. Then again, this is Caroline Forbes.
Caroline shushes her friends. "Be quiet and concentrate. Close your eyes. Now take a deep breath." The girls have their eyes closes and followed the blonde-haired beauty's instruction. Kol walks toward his human, bends down and stare at her face that was shone by the candles. "Bonnie. Call to her." Caroline ordered her friend, gently as her eyes are still closed.
Kol doesn't know if this type of séance would work since he preferred the other type but it's better than nothing.
"Emily, you there?" Bonnie called out, blankly.
Caroline opened her one eye with disbelieved at her friend. "Really?" she opened her eyes fully with dissatisfy. "Emily, you there? That's all you got? Come on." She stared at Bonnie with a look who sighed heavily.
"Fine, geez." Bonnie mumbled, resigned. The girls closed their eyes once again. "Emily. I call on you. I know you have a message. I'm here to listen."
Then the candles immediately flare stronger. Kol glared at it. "Oi! As much as I respect witches, both dead and alive. Try not to harm my human." He warned Emily Bennett as he could feel the distant old magic in the air.
"Did that just—" the brunette halted in stunned.
Caroline nod her head slowly. "Yeah, it just happened." Kol turned his attention on her as his undead heart lit slightly. His human is slowly believing there are ghosts exist. It's a start. He reached his hand to her and lightly touch the surface of her face. The blonde-haired beauty shuddering when she felt the chill and wrapped herself.
"It's just the air conditioning." Bonnie instantly made the excuse, refused to believe there are ghosts. Then the candles flares slowly which Kol's gaze shifted around and saw a transparent ghost of a maidservant woman standing near Bonnie.
"You… must be Emily Bennett." Kol stood on his feet while observed the dead witch with curious. He never met any ghosts except this is the first time.
Emily glanced at Kol from her descendant. "Kol Mikaelson. The Original. The Former Warlock." She said, calmly.
"Well, nice to know that my reputation is still kicking." Kol smirked smugly as he likes having his reputation to be still wildly knowledge in the world even though his real body is still in daggered.
The dead witch scoffed slightly. "Not only the supernatural world knows of your reputation, Mr. Mikaelson. The Other Side enjoys seeing you suffering." Kol's smug smirk dropped with blank face.
Caroline gulped and turned to Bonnie. "Ask her to show you a sign. Ask her." Bonnie shakes her head, denied that she refuses to speak to the dead woman.
"I'm afraid that you will have to explain to me, darling." Kol shoves his hands in his pockets with faux-calm as his dark eyes calculating.
Emily raises her eyebrow. "Have you not wondered why you are stuck with that mortal girl?" Kol narrowed his eyes at her quietly. "You have been cursed by a vengeful witch. You are linked to her soul." The bad boy Original shifted his gaze to the blonde-haired beauty.
"Emily, if you're among us, show us another sign." Caroline asked nervously yet brave enough while glancing around. Bonnie and Elena carefully scanning around quietly.
Kol furrowed his eyebrows. "Why her?" he has to know why of all the people in the world, it has to be this mortal normal girl that he is linked to her soul.
The dead witch examined the obliviously blonde-haired girl silently. "Elena Gilbert and Bonnie Bennett are not the only ones who have ancestors over a thousand years ago." She answered, mysteriously. Kol furrowed his eyebrows with confused and slightly exasperatedly by typical witch's riddles.
"See?" Bonnie speaks up with relief after a silent moment of no answers from the ghost. "It's not working." Emily narrowed her eyes at Bonnie then glanced at the windows that suddenly burst open, scaring the girls as they slid away from the candles in fear.
Kol made a face. "Really?" Emily just shrugged her shoulders.
Bonnie stood up as she ripped the necklace off and throw it on the ground next to the candles which blow out, in frightened. "Get the light. Please, get the light!"
"Hold on." Elena quickly pushed herself up and headed to the wall to flipped on the switched to brighten up her bedroom. Caroline blinked her eyes to adjust the lights and noticed the necklace is gone.
"You guys…" Bonnie gulped dryly. "…the necklace. It's gone."
"Don't you think you were a bit dramatic?" Kol muttered to Emily who has the necklace moved to somewhere hidden. "But I would love to learn how you do that." He wants to communicate with his human.
Bonnie quickly attempt to find the necklace by searching in Elena's bedroom while the brunette just run through her hair with her fingers out of shocked as Caroline slowly stood on her feet, in disbelieved and stunned what she just had witness.
Emily turned her gaze to Kol calmly. "Patience and you shall get reward." Kol rubbed his face with slightly aggravated.
"I've been haunting over my human for nearly three months and you telling me to be bloody patience?" he snapped at the dead witch who stared at him blankly. "I barely stopped her from being controlled by that bloody Salvatore."
The dead witch's eyes lit up at the name. "Do you mean Damon Salvatore?" Kol nod his head with warily eyes. "So it is true then. He mistreated her descendant." She whispered with thoughtful.
"Are you ever going to tell me what the bloody hell are you talking about?" Kol blunted, knowing that all witches never tell anyone with easy answers. They are very fond of riddles which he wouldn't mind figuring it out himself, but this is his human and he wants real answers. Especially that he has no knowledge of why a witch cursed him. He doesn't recall that he pissed off any witch in his time. He was respectful to them and never did anything to warrant one of their anger. "Why the hell was I a cursed? I do not recall pissed any witches off." He pointed it out, confused and irritated with all the puzzles questions.
Elena crossed her arms and shakes her head. "Okay, fun's over." Her brown eyes shifted to Caroline who still looked freaked out. "Caroline… please give it back."
Caroline blinked at her with surprise. "What? I don't have it. I told you, I don't care about that necklace. Why would I take it?!" she said, defensive.
Bonnie continued searching as she bends down and looked under the bed.
Kol glared at the doppelganger. He doesn't like it that Elena dared to think that his human stole the necklace. Caroline is not a thief.
"I cannot answer your questions, Mr. Mikaelson." Emily said while watching the petite witch who stood up and shakes her head with confused frown on her face.
The Original scoffed. "Can't or won't?" he raise his eyebrow at the dead witch who hummed as her respond. "Fine. I'll just figure it out myself. Somehow." He added bitterly. "Are you going to continue haunting this poor witch to death?" Kol sarcastically said as he watches the girls looking for the necklace in the bedroom.
"I have to destroy it." Emily speak up calmly. "That crystal will need to be destroy."
Kol frowned. "I assumed there's a spell on that crystal that you need to terminate before it falls into the wrong hands?" Emily turned to him with reluctantly impressed. "It's not exactly my first time seeing a dead witch wanting to protect the world instead of letting anyone took their talisman in the wrong hands." He explained, offhandedly. He has lived a thousand years after all. He has seen many, many things in his immortal life. Although, he had missed a few decades and centuries thanks to his happy-trigger daggered brother of his.
"Guys…" all heads turned to Bonnie who saw the necklace in the bathroom on the rug. The petite witch walked inside the bathroom with cautioned. She bend down, picked up the crystal and turned her eyes to Elena and Caroline who are standing out of the bathroom door.
Suddenly, the door slammed shut and Bonnie screamed in fear. "You guys! Open the door! Help me!" Bonnie hitting the door inside the bathroom in horror. Elena and Caroline quickly slammed the door and twisting the doorknob to open, but it was useless.
Kol glanced at Emily from the corner of his eyes. "Really?"
"I need her to be panic enough that I could possess her." Emily explained, nonchalantly that she is causing her family distress and frightened.
The bad boy Original shakes his head. "Before you do that—" the lights flickered on and off while Elena went to another door to try open the door, but it was futile. "Mind giving me some tip or something to at least alert my human of my presence?" he doesn't like seeing his human panicked and scared for herself and for her friends while she is slamming the door, calling out to her friend who stuck inside the bathroom.
"…it's about emotion and touch." Emily decided to give him the tip. Kol tilted his head with questioning in his dark eyes. "As long as you use your link to hers, then she will at least notice of your exist." Then the dead witch walked through the door of the bathroom.
Kol watches it silently. The lights still flickering on and off which send nearly the girls on hyperventilating. "Oi, Emily… could you at least stop with the drama now? You are scaring my human and I don't like it. Please."
Thankfully, Emily stopped as the lights are turned on. Elena and Caroline glanced around with cautioned and the door opened widely. Kol step forward with interested and curious. Bonnie is standing in the middle of the bathroom with her face covered by her hands.
"What happened? Are you okay?" Elena asked the petite witch with concerned while Caroline carefully studied Bonnie.
Bonnie lifted her head and stared at them calmly. "I'm fine." Kol hummed that he is aware of this witch is now possessed by Emily.
Caroline narrowed her eyes at Bonnie. "A-are you… were you faking this whole time?" Kol send his gaze to his human.
"Please do not stop believing." Kol muttered with slightly desperate.
Emily/Bonnie stared at Caroline then nod her head which made Kol glared at her. "You bloody bitch. You weren't going to make this easy for me, were you?" he stated with pissed off.
Caroline scoffed. "Unbelievable."
"Caroline—" Elena opened her mouth, but the blonde-haired beauty shakes her head.
"No!" Caroline snapped and glared at the petite witch with anger. "You scared the hell out of me." She whirled around and stormed out of the bedroom.
Kol quickly followed his human. The brunette and the witch followed out. "Wait." Elena protested.
Caroline halted and turned around angrily. "I can't believe I fell for it." She watched Elena turned to Bonnie with concerned but then Bonnie is leaving as she descended down the stairs.
"I'm leaving too."
Elena shakes her head. "No, you guys can't leave."
The blonde-haired beauty scoffed. "I can. I've had enough freaking fake witch stuff for one night." "Darling…" Kol groaned, just when his human is starting to believe it.
"Bonnie!" Elena tried to stop her friend who quickly running down the stairs. Caroline furrowed her eyebrows with confused. "Where are you going?"
Bonnie paused the half-way on the stairs and glanced up at Elena. "Back to where it all began."
The doppelganger gasped loudly. "Oh my god. Emily!" Kol and Caroline watched how Bonnie paused at the end of the stairs and stared up in answered.
"I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed." Emily/Bonnie immediately left the house. Elena chases her down the stairs and Caroline quickly followed despite that she is angry at Bonnie, she still cared about her.
"What's happening?!" Caroline is completely bewildered while Kol grimaced. Elena jerked the doorknob that Kol assumed it was spelled shut by the witch.
"I don't know. The door, it's not—" suddenly the door opened, and the girls screamed in fear and shocked.
Jeremy stood by the doorway with confused. "What the hell?" he glanced at his sister and Caroline.
Caroline sighed loudly and shakes her head. "I'm outta here." She has had enough for the night as she stormed out of the house.
And Kol silently cursed the dead Bennett witch for making this hard for him. "Thanks so much, Bennett." He muttered, bitterly.

Caroline's Bedroom
Later…
Caroline pulled up her hair into high ponytail after she finished her nightly routine. And went to her bag to grabbed her laptop from it and went to her nightstand to charged it. While Kol was pacing back and forth frustratedly while he runs through his hair with his fingers nonstop. He has been trying everything he could think of and recalled Emily's words to him.
"Bloody hell… link? Emotion and touch?" he recalled how every time he touches her, she has respond by feeling it. He remembered that he touch her first time was that he was worried about her when she touch her scars, second time was when that soon-to-be dead vampire rudely snapped at her when he attempt to comfort her, and recently, during the séance when he wants her to acknowledge his exist. Kol just put it together that there are emotions involved. His dark gaze shifted over to Caroline as he paused in his pacing.
Caroline sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed the back of her neck with tired sighed. "Quite a night, huh?" Kol whispered as he sauntered to her and bend down to peek at her face. He stared at her face as her blue-green eyes dazed off. Kol lifted his fingers to gently touch her cheeks.
The blonde-haired beauty shivered when her cheeks suddenly got cold. She frowned as she lifted her head and observed her empty room. "Darling… please notice. Don't ignore…" his eyes filled with pleading for her to noticed him.
When her eyes spotted an open window near her bed, she sighed softly with understanding and stood up. Kol watches her resigned and frustrated as she is walking toward the window and shut it down with locked. The bad boy Original closed his eyes and silently cursed Emily Bennett. "Bloody hell."
Is it really too much to ask just for his human to at least acknowledge his presence?
