Salvatore Boarding House
Night…

"Oh my God! Lexi!" Caroline squealed excitedly to see her friend as she happily fasts walk toward Lexi who pushed herself up from the chair. They both hugged each other instantly with big smiles on their face. "It's so good to see you again." The blonde-haired beauty said, cheerily.

Lexi hummed as they both swing back and forth together for a few more seconds then break the hug.

"It is really good to see you again." Stefan confessed with a warm smile as he steps forward to her and embraced his best friend.

"Aww… it's wonderful to see you both." Lexi said with a smile before she hugs back a young Salvatore.

Kol never thought he would see Lexi in person again, but he was happy to see his vampire who is smiling right now as sparks glint in her blue-green eyes. Then a masculine voice speaks up. "What? Where are my hugs?" all heads turned around and saw a handsome young and tall man with dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, some facial hair, tanned skin, and he wears a dark navy-blue shirt, dark jeans, black boots, and black leather jacket. He grinned at them. "Sweetcheeks?"

Caroline's eyes widen in surprise. "Lee?" she is used to hearing his voice since he always joined Lexi and her conversation whenever they call on their cell phones.

"Yeah." Lee nods his head, confirmed that she is corrected. The blonde-haired beauty chuckled with disbelieved amazement and went to him to give him a friendly hug. "Awesome, now I got a hug from sweetcheeks!" Lexi rolls her eyes playfully while Kol raises his eyebrow, he doesn't feel jealous because he knew how much Lee really is in love with Lexi. "And Stefan… long time no see, man… been, what—fifteen or twenty years?"

Stefan half-grinned at Lee. "Seventeen years." He corrected Lee as he moved forward while Caroline breaks the hugs with surprise.

"Wait…" Caroline watched Stefan and Lee exchanged friendly handshakes. "…does that mean…" she glanced at Lexi and Lee with slow realization. "You both… are you both—" she trailed off with stunned.

Lexi nods her head while Lee grinned at Caroline. "Yes. We're both vampires." The dark-blonde vampire confessed. She crossed her arms as her happiness fades to solemn. "And I'm here to help you." she said to Caroline.

"Really?" the blonde-haired beauty asked with surprise.

Lee clicked his tongue. "Of course. After we had been through a couple of delays in the airport twice in two days, after that, took eleven hours and thirty minutes from Tokyo to Los Angeles. We brought a rent car and drove about thirteen hours until it broke down on us, had to wait in the stranded street for about the next five hours until we got friendly hitchhikes who offered to help us for a ride. It takes about another eight hours of nonstop annoying repeating songs and it was horrid. Dropped us off at the nearest bus station, we booked it and rode the worst bus ride in history which is saying something for the next three hours. Then we had to stay at the motel 'cause the sun and all. Once the night hit, we rent a car and drove about seven hours then stopped for a nearby motel again. Another night comes, we left for two hours but rent car broke down again. We decided to run on foot for four hours. Stay at the abandoned old house for another day and then spend three hours on night run until we stumbled on the cars, decided to steal one and drove here for three hours and we've been waiting for you ever since."

Silence greeted in the living room as Lee grinning while Lexi rubbed her forehead with weary on her face.

"Sounds like… you both got quite an adventure." Caroline speaks up with amused yet touched that her friends went through everything just to be here for her.

Stefan sends his sympathy glances at his best friend while Kol was busy sniggered with mirth dancing in his dark gaze. "I really want to hear the story." He is really interested in hearing what kind of adventures these two comedic duos have.

He knew they both are entertaining vampires.

Salvatore Boarding House
Living Room

Lexi turned to Stefan with a sweet secretive smile. "Stefan. I'm taking Linnie to your bedroom because we're going to have a girl chat." She said as she grabbed Caroline's hand not unkindly and dragged the blonde-haired beauty behind. "Have fun having manly bonding time with Lee." The dark-blonde vampire sang as she waves her free hand at them, leaving the males in the living room. Kol followed after his vampire.

Lee hummed while watching his long-term girlfriend taking Caroline to the stairs then turned his head to Stefan. "Please tell me you have expensive alcohol?"

"Of course, we do." Stefan graciously plays host for his best friend's boyfriend and his friend. The young Salvatore went to the bar and grabbed one of the whiskey bottles. "So, mind telling me the adventure you and Lexi had before you both arrive here?" he grabbed two glasses of cups and set them down on the bar counter.

"Long version or short version?" Lee asked as he leaned against the counter.

Stefan pushed one of the half-filled whiskey cups to Lee. "There is Lexi we both know who is going to have a girl chat with Caroline." Was his response.

"True. Lexi and Sweetcheeks will have a very long talk." The dark-haired vampire grabbed his cup and held it up. "Long version in details." Stefan is looking forward to hearing this story.

Stefan's Bedroom

Caroline carefully examined the bedroom quietly with interest while walking around. Lexi plopped on the bed, comfortably. Kol decided to sit on one of the empty chairs and prop his feet on the other chair across him and entwined his fingers as it rests against his stomach.

"I got the whole story but not enough details." Lexi speaks up, decided to get to the point. "You didn't tell me how you die."

The blonde-haired beauty paused by the desk that was covered with books, papers, and pens. She turned around leaned against the desk. She crossed her arms and sighed. "…I… I was suffocated to death." Kol growled angrily when he perfectly remembered that horrible memory. He hates it.

"By who?" Lexi demanded with anger and protective.

Caroline took a deep breath then exhale. "Katherine."

Lexi gasped. "No fucking way. That bitch? Katherine fucking Pierce?" she asked, just to clarify. Caroline nodded her head in reply while Kol sends his approved look at Lexi who shares a hatred for Katherine Pierce. "Well… now I have another reason to add to kill that bitch." Lexi muttered darkly.

"You know her?" Caroline asked, curious as Kol perked up with interest.

The dark-blonde vampire made a face. "I know of her. I heard stories about her from Stefan, from sources and whispers within the supernatural community. Katherine is not someone who you want to underestimate. She's a sadistic, liar, manipulator, murderer, evil little bitch. And they are not good stories." She spat angrily as her hazel-green eyes darken.

"How long have you been around? You know… since as a vampire?" Caroline asked, curious after she learned the information. "Because it sounds like you heard so many stories about her."

Lexi huffed as she leaned back with her hands behind her. "I heard a lot. I've been around for three hundred years." Caroline raises her eyebrows in surprise. "Yeah, pretty long time, huh." Lexi smirks playfully.

Kol snorted. "To me, you're practically a teenager." He muttered.

"But, back to the topic. From what I know so far, after that bitch murdered you. You became a vampire, gained back from the memories loss thanks to Damon which—by the way—I'm totally kicking his ass, accidentally killed a guy from the carnival, and Stefan is helping you." Lexi listed off while Caroline nods her head at the right time. "Am I missing anything else?"

Caroline hummed then remembered something. "Oh, I can hear him now." She informed her friend, excitedly. "Well, more like random words." The Original stares at his vampire fondly.

"Hear him? You mean your ghost boy?" Lexi said with curiosity and interest. Kol's lip twitches with amusement when he heard Lexi's nickname for him.

The blonde-haired beauty's cheeks slightly flushed. "He's not my ghost boy. He's my friend." She mumbled.

Lexi just smirks mysteriously at Caroline. "Can you see him? Wait, is he here?" she asked, with intrigue.

"I'm here, darling."

Caroline shook her head. "No, I can't see him. But I can sort of hear him." She pushed away from the desk to the bed and sat down next to Lexi who watches her with curiosity and puzzled. "Before… this whole vampire thing—" she waves her hand at herself. "—I can only feel his touches."

"But now that you are a vampire, you can hear him?" Caroline nods her head. "And what do you mean by sort of?" the dark-blonde vampire asked, confused.

The blonde-haired beauty bit her lip while trying to figure it out to explain in words. "I can only catch his words randomly. Like… here, floor, vampire, and etcetera, etcetera."

"I see… maybe it's because you are practically dead so, that probably explains why you are starting to hear him?" Lexi offers possibly of explanation.

Kol hummed with interest. "Now, that's a thought. You might be onto it." He muttered, thinking that it's possible. Before, Caroline was human, and she doesn't have any supernatural ability, but she did react to his touches, unlike anyone. And now that she is an immortal vampire who could only catch his random words.

Caroline tilted her head. "It sounds like Kol thinks that you might be onto it?" she questioned, hoping that is what her ghost friend attempt to say.

Lexi raises her eyebrow. "I'm curious… what does he sound like? Can you hear his words loud and clearly?"

Kol perked up with curiosity as he wondered about those questions as well.

Adorable light pink blushes from Caroline's cheeks which fondly amuses Lexi and Kol since vampires never blush. "I—I… okay. I can only hear his words, but I can't exactly hear his… tone or anything like… emotion attaches to it. I knew that he has an accent, which is like—totally unique—since I've never heard such a thing before. It makes me think of British yet not. I've heard British accent in movies, but his accent is different from the movies, obviously. And sometimes I can hear it clearly, but some words don't make sense to me. We are trying to figure it out together and work on it. We have been having some miscommunication, so we are trying to fix that. Meanwhile, I've tried my best to make sure that I don't expose myself as a vampire to people I care about. 'Cause I don't' wanna freak them out and run off the hills. Stefan has been helping me control my thirst for blood and I became a bug bunny's murderer and the blood tastes awful, and I don't know if I could handle that and—" she babbled anxiously while fiddle with her fingers nervously.

"Whoa, whoa, now…" Lexi placed her hand on Caroline's fidgeted hands to calm her anxiety down. "…Linnie, take a deep breath." Kol watches the dark-blonde vampire soothes his vampire for a moment. "It sounds like you have a lot going on in your life." Lexi whispered, concerned as she noticed how exhausted and anxious her friend is.

Caroline sighed heavily as her shoulders slumped. "…a lot has been going on, Lexi. I'm… I'm so—" she halted as she closed her eyes. "…I'm tired. I've been through so much and it hasn't been a week." She wants to lay down and sleep for a long time.

Lexi frowns with worried. "What's wrong?" she noticed the small fear in Caroline's blue-green eyes. The dark-blonde vampire lifted her hand to rub her friend's back, comforting her.

"…before Stefan and I arrive here, a werewolf attacked us." Lexi's eyes widen in shock. "…it was scary." Caroline whispered with fear and exhaustion. "I just… I want to sleep and forget about it." Now that she is in a safe environment, all the occurs that happened crash in her mind, and she doesn't want to deal with it right now.

Kol frowned deeply, wishes he could help her, but he allows Lexi to handle it. The dark-blonde vampire hummed sympathetically. "Then go sleep." Lexi jerked her head at the bed. "Stefan won't mind if you sleep on his bed. He'll take one of the guest rooms for tonight or even take a sofa." Lexi helps her sweet friend onto the bed before Caroline took off her shoes.

"I need to text my mom… let her know I won't be home…" Caroline mumbles as she is starting to feel the sleepiness crawling up to her.

Lexi pulled the sheet over Caroline's body. "I'll do it for you." She assured the blonde-haired beauty.

"Will you still be here when I wake up?" Caroline asked, tiredly.

The dark-blonde vampire smiles warmly at her. "Of course. We still have a lot to talk about. Plus, Lee and I won't leave until we both know you can handle yourself. For now, sleep." Lexi said while brushes Caroline's hair away from her face.

Caroline hummed happily then slowly fluttered her eyes shut. Lexi sighed softly and step back. She glanced around the empty room quietly then open her mouth. "I don't know if you are still here… but please continue to watch over her." She whispered.

"Without a doubt. I never stop watching over my darling." Kol muttered as he stood up from the seat to ambled over the bed. He watches Lexi examined the sleepy vampire with content and left the room quietly in vamp-speed.

The wild Original lowered himself down on the ground, leaning his side against the bed while his dark gazes are on his slumber vampire. He is worried about her since he knew how much overwhelming occurs that happened to her over few days. "Don't worry, darling. You are not alone, and I'll be right here no matter what." Kol muttered as he extends his hand to lightly touch Caroline's hand.

He really hates being useless.

Later…

The loud clattered and echoing shouted heard disrupted Caroline's sleep as she sat up startled while Kol stared at the door with interest and curiosity. "W-what?" the blonde-haired beauty mumbled, drowsy. She blinked few times while rubbing her eyes. "What was—" a yawn breaks out. "—that?"

"No idea, sweetheart." Kol mumbled as he stood on his feet and waited for his vampire to stumbled out of the bed, by fight the covers off from her. Kol cock his eyebrow at her with amused. Once Caroline is free from the duvet and sheet. She quickly lightly jogged out of the bedroom, down the hallway, and paused by the banister.

The ghost halted next to her as he tilted his head when he heard loud shouting voices from the first level.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! You shouldn't mess with the werewolves!"

"It's none of your business. Why don't you just go to the party and get yourself drunk your pretty ass off. Okay?"

"Hey… no one praises my Lexi's pretty ass except me, bastard."

"Shut up, Lee!"

"Seriously, please calm down."

Kol snorted. "Sounds like there's a party going on, darling." He remarked, dryly.

Caroline frowns and descended the stairs quietly while Kol follows her. When the blonde-haired beauty reached the first level, she went down the corridor and halted at the doorway of the living room. Kol stood next to her with twinkle mirth in his dark gaze as the wide smirk on his face.

In front of them, the living room was a chaotic disaster zone. The overstuffed chairs are torn apart with stuffing haphazard way across the floor. The coffee table was smashed into splinters and cracks. There are glasses shattered near the wall with an obvious dark color of alcohol stains on the wall. Objects are thrown everywhere. The couch was ripped in half, one was completely destroyed and the other barely stand as Lee is currently sitting while watching with interest. Books had fallen from the shelves and laid in disarray. Broken vases and sculptures are disseminated near the fireplace. Stefan looked worn-out and resigned as he is standing near the wall where the antique of the picture is crooked as it barely hanging.

In the middle of the room, Damon and Lexi were arguing with each other. Lexi's hands are curled in tight fists while growling angrily at the older Salvatore. Damon is smirking at her haughtily and irritated at her.

The blonde-haired beauty was stunned by the mess while Kol was slightly impressed. "Not bad, not bad. But quite honestly, my siblings can do so much worse than this mess." Kol muttered while observed the chaos.

Caroline tilted her head with curiosity and confusion. She wants to know what Kol meant by his siblings and worst, however, she is also confused about why is her friend fighting with Damon? "…what's going on?" she speaks up, all vampires turned their heads to her with surprise.

"Sweetcheeks!" Lee greeted the blonde-haired beauty happily. "Did you sleep well?"

Caroline blinked as Kol muttered. "You lots disrupt my darling's rest." The blonde-haired beauty agreed with the ghost's words. "Sort of… until I heard noises." She pointed it out.

"Sorry." Lexi made a guilty face. "I wouldn't make such noises if this thing—" she snapped her eyes at Damon with a glare as he gladly glares back. "—isn't so stupid to think it's a good idea to mess with a werewolf!"

Damon rolled his eyes. "As I said before, it's none of your business." He repeated, irked.

"Damon…" Stefan opens his mouth but paused when his brother glares at him, daring him to protest so Stefan shut his mouth.

Lexi noticed it and growls angrily at him. "You should listen to your brother instead of shutting him up." She doesn't like it when Damon is controlling Stefan. No one is allowed to control her best friend and get away with it.

The older Salvatore huffed and shifted his attention to Caroline who is still by the doorway, awkwardly. "What are you doing here, Blondie?" Damon demanded an answer.

Kol glares at the soon-to-be-dead vampire who dares to order his vampire in a disrespectful and rude tone. Lexi is sharing her dislikes as well when she hisses at the older Salvatore. "You don't get to act like that to her." Lexi stalked toward Damon who steps back defensively. "Not after what you did to her when she was human."

"How the hell you know that? No, wait, as the matter of fact, why do you care about her?" Damon snapped with confusion. Caroline's eyes shifted with hurt as she crossed her arms in an attempt to comfort herself. Stefan, Lee, and Kol glare at Damon while Lexi's hazel-green eyes darken.

The dark-blonde vampire chuckled humorlessly. "Because she is my friend and having friends means we care about each other. Not that you know since you don't have any friends." She leaned her leg with a faux-thoughtful face while placed her finger against her cheek. "I wonder why you never have a friend but then again, it's you so make sense to me since you are an asshole who used people!"

Kol doesn't appreciate seeing his vampire hurt by that soon-to-be dead vampire's words. He steps closer to Caroline and gently brushes his finger against her cheeks. "Don't listen to him, sweetheart. He's a tosser git." The blonde-haired beauty shivered by the freezing touch from Kol as she heard the words which made her smile softly. She knew that Kol is consoling her with his touches and random words. Something tells her that he is insulting Damon. Which made her feel a little bit better.

Damon glares darkly at Lexi who, this time, smug smirks at him with a mocking raised an eyebrow.

"…do you want some coffee?" Stefan asked Caroline, decided to ignore his best friend and his older brother's another argument. Lee perks up while Caroline just blinks at him. The young Salvatore just smiles politely at her, waiting for the answer.

"…sure." Stefan vamp-speed to her side and guide her to the kitchen. Lee stood up and follow them as he wants some coffee as well. Kol glanced at the dark-blonde vampire and older Salvatore who are now in their attack postures. As much as he would love to see Lexi kicking Damon's ass, knowing that she is faster and stronger than him. He still prefers to stick with his vampire.

When Stefan, Lee, and Caroline arrived at the kitchen, the blonde-haired beauty sat on the stood and leaned her elbows on the counter while Stefan went to prepare for coffee. Lee sat next to her while Kol leaned his hip against the counter close to his vampire with his arms crossed.

"So, what is exactly going on with them?" Caroline asked, curious as Kol is interested as well.

Stefan sighed while grabbing three mugs from the cabinet and Lee answer. "When Damon arrived home and talk about proving this dude that he is a werewolf."

Caroline furrowed her eyebrows. "Who?"

"Mason." The young Salvatore answered as he pressed some buttons on the coffee machine. The noises and shouting are heard clearly from the living room, but the vampires and a ghost ignored them.

The blonde-haired beauty's eyes widen in surprise. "Mason? As in Mason Lockwood?" she gasped.

Kol turned his gaze to her with curiosity while two vampires turn to her. "You know him?" Lee asked, wondering as he silently drumming his fingers against the counter.

"Know him? He's Tyler's hot uncle!" Kol doesn't like it when Caroline praises someone else who is not him. So, in childish punishment, the ghost pokes his vampire's forehead. Caroline shivers by the freezing touch from Kol and silently grumbled, wondering why he is poking her right now. Then she realized. "Wait… are you saying that Tyler's uncle is a werewolf? Does that mean Tyler is one too?" she asked, anxious. After all, Tyler is one of her friends. Sort of. He was her childhood friend, as he and children from Founder Families were practically raised from toddler ages together.

Stefan shakes his head with a thoughtful face as he turned around and leans his back against the counter. "I'm not sure. I know that Mason is a supernatural being, but Tyler… he's just a normal kid."

"Which means that kid hadn't triggered his curse." Kol muttered to himself. Caroline narrowed her eyes in confusion. "…trigger?" unaware that vampires heard her clearly.

Lee glanced at her with surprise, but he answered. "Correct. If Mason Lockwood is truly a werewolf, then there is a high possibility that this Tyler kid, could be one."

"How exactly you become—" Caroline still couldn't believe such supernatural creature exists, then again, she's a vampire. "—a werewolf?" she is curious.

The coffee machine alerts that Stefan went to grab the pot and fill in the mugs while Lee replies. "To trigger the curse is if you kill someone." Caroline and Stefan looked at him surprised while Kol stares off with boredom. "Even accident could trigger it." Lee added, solemnly.

Soon, Stefan set the mugs of coffee to the island, placed them in front of Lee and Caroline along with milk, creamer, and sugar. Lee adds few things to his coffee to make it a lot sweeter while Caroline just adds some creamer. The young Salvatore stick with black coffee.

"That's awful…" Caroline muttered, feeling sad for her sort of friend as she hopes he won't trigger the curse. Another crash was heard and loud stomping footsteps approaching their direction. All eyes turn to Lexi who adjusted her jacket while furious glint in her hazel-green eyes.

"I need to get away from here, away from that bastard because if I don't. I will make an iron stake with laced vervain, wrapped with vervain ropes, and shove it up in his a—"

"Okay!" Stefan interjected as he set his mug of coffee down while he steps toward his best friend, attempt to calm her down. While Lee, Kol, and Caroline watch them with amused. "Okay, let's calm down…" he gently rubs Lexi's stiff arms while she is growling darkly. "…how about this? The sunrise is almost coming up, so… why not, take Caroline home and spend a day with her?" he offers a suggestion.

Caroline perked up excitedly. "That would be totally fun!"

"Hey, what about me?" Lee pouted childishly.

Lexi's glanced at her long-term boyfriend with a frown. "You need to sleep. You haven't got a wink for days." She reminded him, worriedly.

"He can stay in one of the guest rooms." The young Salvatore said, politely.

The dark-haired vampire sighed dramatically before he sipped his coffee. "Alright, fine." But a grin appeared on his face with an understanding glint in his eyes. "I will sleep." He promised his girlfriend who looked relieved.

"Let's head out now, if we're going to your place." Lexi glanced at Caroline. "I don't want to be burned by the ray of light." Caroline nodded her head with an understanding smile. She quickly finished her coffee and thanked Stefan. She also hugs Lee friendly and giggled when Lee ruffled her hair.

Kol hummed, as he wonders what Lexi and his vampire will be spending their day together?

Forbes' Resident
Caroline's Bedroom
Later…

It's early morning as sunlight shines upon the world, inside of her bedroom is darken by curtains since Lexi doesn't have a daylight ring. The vampires are lounging on the bed with junk food while Kol is sitting on the ground, with his back leaning against the wall. Lexi is munching on the chip from the potatoes chip bag while Caroline swallows the sour gummy candy. "So… why didn't Lee sleep? You mention that he hasn't for days. Is something wrong with him?" she asked, concerned.

"Ah… that idiot never sleeps whenever we're both traveling together." Lexi tutted as she grabbed another piece of chip from the bag. "Either on the road or in the air, even in random abandoned shelters to avoid the sun… he always watches over me and be on the lookout until we both arrive at the destination. No matter how many times I try to persuade him to rest… he refuses to do until I'm in a safe environment." She rolls her eyes fondly and slips the chip in her mouth.

Caroline made an 'aww-ed' face while Kol hummed with approval. "That's so sweet."

"More like sweet pain in the ass." The dark-blonde vampire muttered with a snort yet there's a small smile on her face that she covered with chips in her mouth. "Alright… back to our previous topic from last night…" she gave Caroline a look. "…you can hear some random words from him—his name was Kol, right?" Caroline nods her head, confirmed she is correct while Kol tilted his head back with interest. "—so, that means you can somewhat communicate with him instead of the whole touches and asking a thousand questions."

The blonde-haired beauty leisurely nod with confusion about where Lexi is going with this conversation. Lexi reached over to grab a piece of sour gummy candy from the bag in Caroline's hands. "…tell me, can you ask him how he die?"

Kol huffed. "Daggered." He muttered, darkly as he truly hates his brother who is probably somewhere while taking a bunch of coffins with him. For all he knew, his real body could be in Europe.

Caroline gasped in astonishment yet sad. "Dagger?" she tilted her head with a frown. Kol blinked at his vampire while Lexi raises her eyebrow.

"He's here, huh? Well… how'd that happen?" Lexi asked, curious.

The wild Original wondered if he answers one word that his vampire could catch on instead of a sentence. He decided to test it out. "How, you say? I happened to have a paranoid happy-trigger brother who loves to play a game that is known as 'Who gets to dagger in his siblings' heart'." Kol answered with bitterness.

"Umm… he said something about paranoid brother… involved with play and dagger?" Caroline attempt to translate her ghost friend's words with confusion.

Lexi raises her eyebrow. "…was it an accident?"

Kol released his obvious fake laughed. "Bloody hell no."

"He said no." Caroline answered, discomfort. "What really happened to you, Kol?" she asked with concern.

"What happened? Well, let's see… lovely Rebekah betrayed me. Because I thought she would be helping me since I told her about created a special dagger for my paranoid bastard of a brother. To put him in sleep for few decades, maybe a century or two to get a taste of his own medicine. Unfortunately, she told Klaus and he knew the plan. I tried to escape but that boring so-called noble brother of mine stopped me and held me down for my bastard brother to daggered me. And now, I have discovered I've been missing almost for a century inside that bloody coffin!" Kol ranted while growling from his chest.

The blonde-haired beauty just blinked at her friend who is waiting in patience as Lexi is munching on a chocolate chip cookie. "…there are a lot of random words." She blunted.

"Maybe you and Kol should figure it out the whole random-words-communication." Lexi props her elbow on the bed as her head rested against her shoulder. "You mention it's easy to communicate with him when it's just touching at specific spots? And how you ask yes or no questions by tap and no tap, correct?"

Caroline nodded her head while Kol, who is finally calm down, turned his gaze on the dark-blonde vampire with curiosity. Lexi continued. "Then, how about… you continue with the whole touch-communication with him, but also add with a word? Like, for example, if your ghost has something to say to you… he can hold your hand and you figure it out what his puzzling words trying to reach you?" she offered a suggestion.

"That's not a bad idea." Kol doesn't want any miscommunication with his vampire. After all, she misunderstood him when he tried to warn her not to trust Damon but however, she trusted that soon-to-be-dead vampire which makes Kol bitter by that terrible memory. The bastard vampire who thinks he could get away with nearly staking his vampire.

The blonde-haired beauty hummed with an appeal. "But…" she made a face. "His touches are really freezing. It wasn't too bad when I was human… just cold. But now that I'm a vampire… somehow, his touches got a whole lot colder!" she explained with amazed and disbelieved.

"Huh… I wonder it's because you're a vampire…although, we don't get cold. It must be unnaturally cold for a ghost to touch a vampire… Think he'll tap me?" Lexi asked, curious about the cold touch from the ghost.

Caroline shrugged her shoulder. "It's up to Kol."

"Well… at least you have given me a choice, darling." The transparent ghost mumbled, as he pushed himself up and went over to the bed. He lightly touches Lexi's forehead, however, there is no response from her. "Nothing." He huffed. Kol turned his attention to his vampire, reached for her, and feather-like touches her cheek which Caroline shuddered.

"That would be Kol." The blonde-haired beauty answered Lexi's questioning face. "Like I said, his touches are really freezing cold."

The dark-blonde vampire swallowed the remaining of her cookie. "Hey, tap me." Kol raise his eyebrow at her and decided to tap her nose. However, nothing no reaction from her.

A silent moment and Lexi just shake her head. "Kol?" Caroline asked, questioning.

Kol lightly lay his fingers on her hand. "I. Did. No. Respond." He decided to give a shot with just one word at a time. Which turns out that's rather annoying.

"…he said that he did. But no response." Caroline furrowed her eyebrows before she shivers once again when she felt the freezes touch from the ghost. Soon, her hands are free from the cold. "I think he already tried but you didn't feel anything?" Lexi shook her head, denied she felt anything. "Huh… I guess I might be the only one who can feel his touch?"

The dark-blonde vampire nods her head. "It's possible. I mean, it's not unusual for one person who could be a—what was it called? Oh, something like a medium or highly sensitive to energy than average humans. So, it's possible that you are sensitive to ghosts when you were a human, and now that you are a vampire, your senses are heightened." She said with theories.

"Interesting theories." Kol muttered as he sat on the edge of the bed, near his vampire. "Or it's because I'm cursed bound to her soul." He added under his breath quietly. Kol really wants to figure that out, but he couldn't, not when he is stuck as a ghost with limited communication with his vampire.

On the bright side, Caroline is an immortal vampire, so he doesn't have to worry about her human short life if he still going to be daggered in the coffin for a really long time. 'Stupid paranoid bastard brother.' Kol mused, bitterly.
