Mystic Falls
Mystic Grill
Next Day…
The blonde-haired beauty steps inside the popular restaurant while adjusted her purse over her shoulder. Kol's hands are shoved in his pockets with boredom. He glanced around with disinterest. "Is there any other restaurant besides the Grill?" he complained. Kol couldn't believe how many times that he has come to the Grill for the past few months with his vampire. It's getting very ridiculous.
Caroline just hummed softly until her blue-green orbs spotted one of her friends. Matt glanced up from his cleaning the table. He perked up with a friendly smile when he saw her. "Hey, you need a table?"
"Yes, please." Matt happily helped her to lead one of the empty tables near the bar. "Thanks." Caroline sat down on the chair and place her purse on the table. Kol mumbled under his breath as he plops on the empty chair next to her. He placed his elbow on the table as he put his chin on his palm, bored. His dark gaze eyeing at his vampire and the human with slight caution.
The Quarterback smiles at her. "So, what can I get for you?"
The blonde-haired beauty narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. "…can I please have a burger and fries? Oh, and tap water." She ordered, cheerfully.
"Got it. You'll get it in about five to ten minutes." Matt informed her which Caroline nod her head. Kol watches the football player walked away then glanced at his vampire.
"You know what's good? Blood." Kol said, amused when Caroline wrinkles her nose. "I think I've consumed enough blood for now, Kol." She mumbled in response as she is playing with her mood ring, twisting around.
The wild Original half-smirk at her. "There's never too much blood to drink, darling." He stated. Before Caroline could respond, suddenly, a familiar pretty brunette sat on the chair across from her.
Kol straightens up his spines and glares angrily at her. "You…" he hisses as he instantly recognized this bitch.
"Caroline…" Katherine smiles friendly at her.
The blonde-haired beauty blinked at her in surprise. "Elena?" she didn't expect to see her best friend.
"Wrong." Kol snapped as he glares furiously at the vampire doppelganger. No way was he allow his vampire to be fool by this murderer bitch.
Caroline's spines shivered when she heard her ghost friend's word. She realized that she is not facing Elena, but a vampire who killed her.
Katherine brushes her hair away from her shoulders. "I haven't seen you in a while… how are you?" she asked, faux-curious and interested.
Kol has to admit that this bitch knew how to act. However, his acting skill is much better than hers. His was flawless, hers was not as he easily could tell which of the doppelgangers they are.
"I'm fine." A false smile appeared on Caroline's face. "If you excuse me, I need to use the little girl's room." She was about to stand however, Katherine leaped over the table and grabbed her arm, aggressively. Kol fruitlessly smacks the bitch's arm away from his vampire with a frustrated growled. "Hands off, you bloody twat!"
"You're good." The vampire smirks at her as her fingers dug into Caroline's arm, warning. "Now, I want you to sit and listen to me." She commanded with a stern.
Caroline fully sat on the chair warily while eyed Katherine apprehension. The vampire released her hand from the blonde-haired beauty, calmly. "I wonder what gave me away? Was it the hair? Or was it my clothes?" she asked, sarcastically.
However, Caroline just stared at her silently while Kol was busy cursing under his breath with hateful glares at Katherine. Oh, how much he wishes he could grab her by the neck and tear it out with his fangs. Let her blood splatter, paint the floor with glorious satisfy.
"Whatever." Katherine just shrugged her shoulders, uncaringly. She leaned back against the chair with her arms crossed. "I need you to deliver a message."
"She's not your fucking messenger!" Kol retorted at the bitch, angrily.
The brunette vampire stared straight at blue-green eyes. "Tell Damon and Stefan that I want the moonstone, or I will rip this town apart until it rains blood." Kol narrowed his eyes at her suspiciously. The moonstone? he mused, wondering where he heard that from.
"Tonight." Katherine dropped her arms as she stood up from her chair and leaned over. "At the masquerade ball." She said then walk away.
Caroline released her nervous shuddering. "…what the hell." She whispered, anxious. Kol snapped his head to her with concern as he noticed how shaky she is. He extends his finger to light-feather touches her cheek. The blonde-haired beauty shivers as she closed her eyes. "Kol…" she whispered, fearfully. She didn't think she would be seeing her murderer so soon.
"You need to inform them. The Salvatore brothers. Preferably Stefan." Kol said, softly. He will always pick the young Salvatore over the older soon-to-be-dead Salva-whore.

Salvatore Boarding House
Later…
When Caroline arrived at the house and knocked. Damon answered much to Kol's disgust and disappointment as he prefers Stefan. When the blonde-haired beauty told the older Salvatore about Katherine's message for them.
Damon immediately led Caroline inside and to the living room. The soon-to-be-dead vampire called his brother who is on his way.
Currently, the older Salvatore pour the blood into the glass and picked it up. "Here." Kol scowled at Damon who handed Caroline a glass cup of blood.
The blonde-haired beauty takes it not unkindly and cups it around in her palms. "I'm still shaking…" she half-chuckled nervously which made Kol sitting close to her on the couch. "Darling…" Kol gently brushes his hand against hers. Caroline controls her shivers when she felt his freeze touch.
After a brief moment later, Stefan arrived through the entrance and down the corridor that leads to the living room. His face was tense with worried. "What happened?" he strode toward Caroline. He quickly scanned her body for any wounds but found none. He has grown to care about the blonde-haired beauty as his one of good friends.
Kol scowled darkly. "It's about that bloody bitch." He spat, hatefully. The ghost wishes he could haunt the vampire doppelganger and curse her for an eternal bloody nightmare.
"Go ahead, tell him." Damon crossed his arms calmly as he stood behind the couch where Caroline sat. "You're gonna love this." He added, sarcastic to his brother with a mock smile.
Stefan frowned at his older brother then shifted his gaze to his friend confused and concerned.
"I saw Katherine today." Caroline said, nervously as she gripped onto the glass of blood.
The younger Salvatore's eyes widen in astonishment surprised. "Where?"
The blonde-haired beauty sighed anxiously while Kol frowns with concern for his vampire. He could see how scared she is the way her hands shakes. The Original gently brush her cheek with the back of his fingers lightly. "You can do this, darling. I'm here." Kol comforted his vampire.
"…At the Grill." Caroline answered as she held back her shivers when she felt her ghost friend's touch on her cheek. "I just wanted to have a good lunch of my own." She uses her thumbnails to dig in the cold glass carefully. "After I ordered my meal, then suddenly, she sat across from me. At first—I thought it was Elena but then—" Caroline cut off herself. 'Kol warned me that it wasn't Elena.' "—I recalled that Elena was at home. So, I assumed it was her, Katherine." Kol was amused when he heard her fib but approved.
Stefan and Damon glanced at each other then at her, quietly as she continues. "I was going to escape by pretending I need to use the restroom. But she caught me and told me that she wants me to deliver a message."
"Message?" the young Salvatore repeated with a puzzling raised eyebrow. "What was the message?"
The blonde-haired beauty cleared her throat. "She wants me to inform you and Damon that she wants the moonstone or else… she will rip this town apart until it rains blood."
"Her threatening could do some work." Kol muttered to himself, unimpressed with Katherine Pierce's death threat. He could do so much better than that bitch.
Damon narrowed his eyes at Caroline. "Tell him the rest of it." He reminded her, disrespectfully which made Stefan and Kol glares disapprovingly at him.
"She said, tonight. At the masquerade ball." Caroline added, slightly paled while stared at the blood. For the first time, she doesn't feel like drinking crimson-red blood. Right now, her mind is filled with Katherine who was her murderer, the one who killed her by suffocating her with a pillow.
Stefan sighed as he started to pace a bit in the living room for a tense, silent moment. Until he opens his mouth. "She wants to do it in public. Killing Mason threw her off guard."
Caroline jerked her head up in surprise while Kol raised his eyebrow, curiosity. "You idiots killed a werewolf?" the ghost murmured with slight disbelief and astonishment.
"She's running scared. What she did to Jenna was desperate. She's out of tricks." The older Salvatore said with a smug smirk on his face.
Stefan huffed softly as he shakes his head. "We can't underestimate her. We have to play this smarter than her." He paused and stares at Damon with a solemn face.
"Can we just give her the moonstone so she'll leave?" Caroline suggested with uneasy and anxiety. She doesn't want to see and deal with Katherine. She wants her murderer to leave this town and go far away as fast as possible. Kol frowned at her with concern.
"No, Katherine's not getting dick. I've had it." The soon-to-be-dead vampire dropped his arms and walked around the couch. "I'm gonna go to the masquerade ball and I'm gonna kill her, tonight." He declared, determined.
Kol made a bitter face. "You really think you can bloody kill that twat? She's fucking five hundred years old." He snorted, rudely.
Stefan narrowed his eyes at his brother. "You're not gonna kill her." He stated.
"Don't give me that goody-goody crap." Damon pointed at Stefan, he doesn't want to deal with his brother's mercy good-hearted shit.
The young Stefan repeated, calmly. "You're not gonna kill her."
"Oh, really?" Damon steps forward with serious glares.
Caroline and Kol watching them quietly with caution. Stefan has been staring at Damon for a moment until he opens his mouth. "Because I am." He declared, grimly with a cold smile.
Kol raises his eyebrow at Stefan. "It seems that bitch really pissed you off, mate." He commented offhandedly, wondering if it's because Katherine destroyed Stefan and Elena's relationship. From what his vampire's information—more like gossip—which doesn't really surprise Kol that much. He knew that the animal-drinker vampire is deeply in love with the doppelganger.
This might be a bit interesting as he is wondering how the Salvatore brothers are going to "kill" the vampire doppelgänger.
Even though he silently wishes he could join in the kill-the-bitch mission.

Later…
Kol eyeing the weapons with judging eyes. He has been listening and watching Alaric, Damon, and Stefan who are gathered around the table that is full of different weapons. The ghost scoffed unimpressed with the amount of tools that are the sole purpose for killing the vampires. "Bunch of these useless gears is nothing against the Originals." He sniffed rather haughty.
His dark gaze shifted over to his vampire who is pacing quietly as she is waiting for her best friend to arrive. He perked up when he heard the doorbell and Caroline vamp-speed toward the door. Luckily, the distance between him and his vampire isn't too bad.
Caroline reached to the door, extend her hand to the doorknob, and pulled inward. She smiles at Bonnie with relief. "Hey, come on in."
"I got Stefan's message." Bonnie steps inside with a concerning display on her face, clearly. She is holding tightly on her grimoire against her chest.
Kol lazily sauntered toward his vampire while Stefan walks forward and glanced at the book in Bonnie's arms. His eyes shown relief and gratitude. "Hey, you brought the grimoire, thank you." He said, warmly to the petite witch.
The Bennett witch just half-smile awkwardly at him then shifted her olive-green orbs at Damon and Alaric who are talking quietly at the table full of weapons. Bonnie frowns deeply with confusion and discomfort. "What's going on?" she asked Stefan.
"Planning to murder that bloody bitch." Kol answered with a cold smirk as his dark gaze is on his vampire who is sauntered toward the couch.
"We're gonna kill Katherine." A masculine voice speaks up as Bonnie, Stefan and Kol glanced over and saw Jeremy walked toward them with a bag in his hands. He smiles politely at the petite witch as he walks past by toward Alaric and Damon.
Bonnie's eyes widen in astonishment disbelieved and shifted her eyes to Stefan who raised his palms with assures face. "I can explain."
"Please." The witch asked with perplexity.
"…we're gonna kill Katherine." Stefan admitted.
The transparent ghost snorted with dry amused by the young Salvatore's answer. He glanced at the Bennett witch for a brief moment then stride over to his vampire.
The blonde-haired beauty leaned against the couch on her backside with her arms crossed. Her blue-green orbs eyeing the weapons with a concerned frown on her face. Kol leaned on the couch next to her and gently brush his feather-light touch fingers against Caroline's cheek.
Caroline fluttered her eyes shut as she controls her shudder, not wanting to make it too obvious in public. Then she opens her eyes as her shoulders that were tense before is now slightly relaxes. Caroline wants to say something to her ghost friend, but she couldn't risk it. Only Lexi and Lee knew the truth of her ghost companion.
And she doesn't know why she didn't inform her best friends about the ghost that has been sticking around her for months. However, something tells her that she shouldn't say anything. At least, not yet.
Meanwhile, Alaric is giving a lecture as he shows his weapon to everyone. "—work with compressed air. The trigger mechanism is up here. I have two of these in different sizes. For you, I recommend this. It fits nicely under the jacket sleeve. You use the trigger when you're ready." He demonstrated by releasing one of the wooden stakes into his palm and jab in the air as if he kills a vampire.
Kol snorted reluctantly impressed. It's not often he met many hunters who could create weapons with mechanism just by handmade. "Yet that won't ever kill us—the Original I mean." Kol muttered to himself, unknowing that he is too close to his vampire that heard a certain word that caught her interest.
Caroline frown with puzzled. 'Original?' she doesn't know why but that word sounded like it has a meaning with a capital letter. She decided to think further later as she tucks it away mentally in the back of her head.
The Salvatore brothers glanced at each other while Alaric shifted his gaze to them. "You wanted me to show you how to kill a vampire." He reminded them, calmly.
"And what a lovely demonstration." Kol commented, dryly. He is starting to get bored right now as he started to entertain himself by using the weapons from the table to torture the soon-to-be-dead vampire along with that bloody bitch of Katerina Petrova. It was a very delightful imagination.
He can't wait for it to make it a reality someday.
After a moment later, everyone is in the living room after they discuss the plan to kill Katherine Pierce. Kol stared at the Salvatore brothers with incredulity and astonishment. "…what the bloody hell is with that stupid plan?!" he shakes his head with flabbergasted of how amateur they are coming up with such a ridiculous plan. "A trap spell? During the party with hundreds of humans in the middle of the night? This plan sucks."
"Are you sure you guys don't want me there tonight?" Alaric asked, hesitant and worried.
Stefan shakes his head. "No, I need you to stay with Elena. I don't want her to know about this." He explained the hunter slash History teacher.
"Okay." Alaric sighed, give in with understanding. "Well, I'll make sure she doesn't leave my sight." He assures them.
The young Salvatore smiles at him with grateful then glanced at the others. "Alright, if anybody wants to back out, I'll understand." He doesn't want to pressure them.
The dark-haired vampire speaks up. "Yeah. Cold feet speak now." His icy-blue orbs carefully studied each of the individuals in the room. "I don't want this going wrong if someone chicken's out." Until his gaze landed on Caroline. "Caroline."
Kol brittle as he hisses at the Salva-whore who dares think his vampire is a coward. Caroline glares coldly at Damon. "I won't." she snapped. A small cute yet chill smile appeared on her face that caught Kol's attention. "She killed me, fair's fair."
"Okay, that was hot." Kol commented as he is giving a lecherous look at her. He loves seeing her having a bit of cold bloodthirst.
"As long as there's no werewolf running around." Caroline added, coolly.
A smug smirk appeared on Damon's face. "Oh, I took care of Mason." He assured.
"Still can't believe you murdered a werewolf." Kol mumbled while shaking his head. He still can't believe that this idiot murdered a werewolf. The older Salvatore will have his ass chew by a pack of werewolves when they realize they have their missing pack member who turned out to be dead. 'Oh well, he'll just have to deal with Karma.' He mused, enthusiastic.
Jeremy speaks up. "As long as Tyler doesn't kill anyone, he won't turn." He said with confidence.
Stefan nodded his head and glanced at the silent Bennett witch. "Bonnie?" her olive-green orbs lifted up at his eyes. "Are you with us?"
Bonnie carefully scanned around with contemplative for a moment until she nodded and opens her mouth. "But no one gets hurt." She warned them.
The wild Original snorted loudly. "There will always be someone who gets hurt, little witch." He mumbled, after all, no matter what plans people have that involve violence. There will always be someone who will get harm or die. It's unavoidable.
"Except Katherine." Damon said with a firm tone. "Tonight, Katherine gets a stake through her heart." He promised darkly. Each eye glance at each other in solemn silence until Kol opens his mouth.
"You are a bit too dramatic, arsehole." Kol insulted childishly at Damon, uncaringly.

Lockwood Mansion
Indoor
Masquerade Ball — Night
Kol eyeing at his vampire's appearance. "You look beautiful, darling." He won't deny it one bit. Caroline is wearing a royal-red one-shoulder dress, black heels, and a dark color with a golden mask along with a handle. "However, I much, much prefer you in blue instead." Kol is being biased but it was the truth.
He does prefer his vampire in blue because she looks absolutely perfectly stunning in any shade of blue. Shame that Caroline already ordered the dress otherwise, he would inform her not to get it but instead pick a different dress.
Oh well, there's always next time.
Caroline is standing near the buffet while her blue-green orbs scanned in her surroundings. She noticed her friend; Matt is with a pretty girl that she recognized as Sarah. They were both giggling and smiling which made her happy to see him having fun. Then Tyler walked up to them and three of them are having animatedly chatting with each other.
The blonde-haired beauty couldn't help but feel a bit envious that she can't have her own fun with her two best friends at this amazing party. She, Bonnie, and Elena are supposed to be here, chatting with each other and laugh together as they are having fun. They were supposed to take pictures in their dresses and masks.
It was one of the goals that she wants to make a new memory with her two best friends.
Unfortunately, that would never happen.
Caroline continues watching her good friend followed Tyler and Sarah as they are sneaking out somewhere. Matt paused when he saw her and smiles friendly at her which she returns weakly, then Matt followed his friends. The blonde-haired beauty sighed softly as her shoulders slumped.
Kol has been watching her silently with a concerned frown. He knew that Caroline doesn't have any romantic feelings for the human—which he is forever relieved and grateful for that—but he knew how much his vampire wants to have fun at this party.
"Don't worry, darling…" the mischief Original brush his finger against Caroline's cheek gently. "…someday, I will take you out to one of the greatest parties and you will have your own adventure without worry. I promise you." Kol muttered as his dark eyes soften.
The blonde-haired beauty shivered as she tilted her chin down with a small smile on her face. "Kol…" she doesn't know exactly what her ghost friend is trying to say but she knew he is comforting her. She is so lucky to have a wonderful friend with her.
Then Caroline felt her phone vibrated against her hand-purse. She took the object out from her purse and glanced down at her cellphone as Kol step closer to her and read the message. "I still don't like this part of the plan, sweetheart." Kol grumbled, silently curse the older Salvatore who thinks it's a good idea to use his vampire as bait of some kind.
The blonde-haired beauty glanced around to make sure there's no attention on her. She strides across the room with confidence as she lifted her handle up to covered half of her face. Kol followed her quickly while scanned around to make sure there's no danger to his vampire.
Soon, Caroline arrived through the empty part of the manor while Kol narrowed his eyes warily. He doesn't want anything to happen to his girl.
When the blonde-haired beauty turned to the corner and extend her hand to the doorknob. However, a hand roughly grabbed her wrist and, in a flash, Caroline was against the wall with her cheek pressed on the wall.
Katherine twisted Caroline's arm behind her, aggressively.
"You bloody twat!" Kol snapped, glared furiously at the bitch who dare touch his vampire.
The vampire doppelganger hisses suspiciously at Caroline. "What are Stefan and Damon up to?"
"What do you mean?" Caroline flinched when she felt the painful nails dug into by Katherine. Kol swats Katherine's head fruitlessly much to his disappointment and frustration.
Katherine scoffed, skeptical. "I've got Jeremy Gilbert luring me out to the lake. What's going on?" she demanded an answer.
Caroline attempted to shrug her shoulder. "I don't know… nothing." She answered. The brunette vampire instantly pulled Caroline's hair back and twirled her around. She pressed her hand against the blonde-haired beauty's neck. "Don't lie to me, Caroline." Katherine squeezes Caroline's throat; choking her. "They're up to something, what is it?"
"Get your bloody hands off of her, you trollop!" the transparent ghost is furious. This was not part of the plan that his darling vampire was supposed to be in!
"I—" Caroline was hesitant while trying to breathe the oxygen.
Katherine squeeze harder and immediately, Caroline's neck popped. Kol snarled angrily at the bitch. Where's the fucking ability to use his ghost shit ass power to kick this murderer twat's ass?!
"Wait, no, no, no! Okay." Katherine's hand relaxed and Caroline gulped painfully, and her voice became straining. "They're trying to kill you." Then finally, her murderer released her throat which made Caroline sighed with relief.
"I figured as much." Katherine commented, offhandedly. "Where is the moonstone?"
Caroline leaned against the wall as she lowered her eyes to the ground. "Bonnie has it." She admitted, sullen.
The vampire doppelganger smiles with smugness. "And where is Bonnie right now?"
Kol made a bunch of unintelligible curses under his breath while he is watching his vampire with concern and angry who is dealing with her murderer alone. This wasn't part of the plan! Kol hates this. He wishes he could be in his own skin and snap Katherine Pierce's neck right now.
"I don't know." Caroline responds, boldly and confidently. However, Katherine instantly chokes her, raising the blonde-haired beauty off the ground with a silent warning. Caroline yelped in unpleasant shocked as she grasped her hands on Katherine's wrist. Her feet kicking in the air. "Okay, okay! She's upstairs, she's upstairs!"
Katherine released the blonde-haired beauty uncaringly. She watches Caroline dropped onto the ground while holding onto her bruised neck.
Kol brittle furiously when he watches the vampire doppelganger pulled Caroline's hair up to her feet disinterested that she is causing the blonde-haired beauty's in pain.
The wild Original would never think it was possible, but he darkly promises himself that he will make sure to curse the doppelganger bitch for eternal. And Kol is rather glad he knew quite a handful of powerful witches that owes him a favor or two.
After a moment of following his vampire who was dragged by Katherine up to the second floor. Caroline stifled her sobbed which made Kol's undead heart sank. He hates seeing his vampire in tears. "Why are you dragging me?! I don't want any part of it." Caroline glares angrily at Katherine from the corner of her eyes. The bitch who was her murderer, who made her into a creature of the night.
"Shut up!" Katherine snapped, fed up with Caroline. Kol snarled displeased and resentful at the bitch. "Which room is it?" she demanded while eyeing few rooms on the second level suspiciously.
The blonde-haired beauty sniffed and jerked her chin at the glass doors ahead of them. "It's that one." She answered, unwillingly. Katherine shifted her eyes at the doors then dragged Caroline's hair when she steps forward.
Katherine released Caroline's hair and went into the room alone with confidence.
Kol steps closer to Caroline with worry as he ducks his head at her level. "Darling…" he trailed off when he noticed Caroline's stopped her crying as she blinked with mirth in her blue-green eyes.
"Where is she?" Katherine asked, warily while scanning the empty room.
Caroline giggles with amazement as a bright mischief smile appeared on her face. "To think that I did it…" Katherine slowly turned around with apprehension and confusion. Kol stared at his vampire with awe. "I really didn't think I'd be able to fool you but surprise, surprise…. I did it." Caroline said, with a pleased tone.
Katherine's lips curled angrily as she vamp-speed toward Caroline but got blocked by the invisible barrier. Her eyes widen in stunned when she realized that she is trapped. "What the—" Katherine paused when she saw how smug the blonde-haired beauty is. "…Stefan?" Katherine guessed correctly when she turned around and saw Stefan in the room as he has a stake in his hand.
"Hello, Katherine." Stefan greeted faux-pleasantly at Katherine.
Caroline smiles charmingly at her murderer. "Goodbye, trollop." She heard that word from her ghost friend and decided to use it. Katherine glares at Caroline who finger-waves at her then twirled around and walks away.
Kol shakes his head with pleasant shock. He didn't expect that he would be fool by his vampire's act. And she could certainly act so well! His undead heart flutter with pride and wonderstruck. "Your acting skill has convinced me very good, sweetheart…" he praised his vampire with admired and impressed.
.
.
.
Caroline stands in front of the mirror while fixing her makeup. The blonde-haired beauty glanced around to make she is alone. "Kol?" she called out, softly.
"I'm here, darling." The mischief Original step forward as he feather-light touch her hand. Caroline's shuddered by his freezing yet familiar touch.
"I'm sorry if I worried you earlier." The blonde-haired beauty apologizes with a sheepish smile. Kol huffed with slight humor. "It's fine. Just glad you are alright now." He pokes her forehead out of his silly revenge on his vampire for making him worried a bit too much.
Caroline made a face when her ghost friend pokes her forehead. "Wish I could poke you back." She grumbled childishly which amuses Kol.
After a few minutes of fixes her makeup. Caroline nods her head with self-satisfied at the reflection of the mirror and left the restroom.
The blonde-haired beauty and transparent ghost walked down the crowded hallway and Kol grimaced when a bunch of humans is walking through him unknowingly.
Caroline halted as her smile fell. She cocked her head and Kol instantly recognized the vampiristic quality that something caught her attention.
Quickly, she followed the noise and Kol went hot on her tail.
Kol didn't expect to see the Quarterback punching Tyler and he attacked back against Matt. "What the bloody hell?" he raised his eyebrow at the horrible slobby fight between two humans.
"What is going on?!" Caroline walks fast pace toward them with worried and confused. "Stop!" she went to her friend, Matt, and pulled him away from Tyler with her vampire strength.
Kol just standing in the background while watching interestedly.
Matt pushed himself off the ground and rushes over Tyler but Caroline stopped the blonde-haired jock. "I can't!" Matt shouted, persistence. "Let me go! I have to finish!" Caroline stared at Matt with bewildered. She is not used to seeing her good, sweet, and kindhearted friend who is willing to use violence against his friend. Something is wrong.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Tyler rebuked, perplexed and slightly concerned. Why is his best friend acting so bizarre?
Matt glared at Caroline. "Let me go!" the blonde-haired beauty stared at him for a brief moment then elbowed him hard in his face. Kol whistles with impressed as he continues watching his vampire attempt to calm the humans from getting into a fight. His dark gaze went to Matt who had fallen on the ground, unconscious. "Think you use your vampire strength a bit too strong, darling." Kol commented, amused.
"Matt?" Caroline glanced over at her friend with guilty. She didn't mean to knock him out as she went to his side and bend down. She checked on him while Tyler stared at her incredulity and flabbergasted.
Kol noticed the girl secretly takes an envelope knife off the desk and sauntered toward Tyler. "Matt failed. If Matt fails, I can't." Kol narrowed his eyes at the girl then at Matt thoughtfully until realization hit him. "Oh… compulsion." He muttered, curious why these two humans try to harm Tyler.
Caroline warned Tyler when she saw the brunette attempt to drive the envelope knife to Lockwood kid. "Tyler, look out!" Tyler turned around and got stabbed in the shoulder.
Tyler pushed her away from him out of defense and the brunette hit her head hard on the desk and fell on the floor, motionless.
Kol cocked his eyebrow with contemplative. "She's dead." He blurted, wondering what's the point of injury the kid then died in the end?
"No, no, no!" Tyler rushes to the corpse, panicked and fear. "Come on, wake up! Sarah, open your eyes, wake up! This can't be happening, oh no, this can't happen. This can't be happening! Sarah! Sarah, get up! Sarah! Open your eyes! This can't be happening! Not like this!" Tyler attempt to bring the dead girl back to life, not wanting to believe that she is truly gone.
Caroline slowly stood on her feet while eyeing Tyler as Kol tilted his head, pondering. Should he know what's going on? Something tells him that he should figure this out by now already.
He watches Tyler pushed to his feet and start pacing back and forth out of panicked. Caroline went to Sarah, bend down, and checked her pulse. However, Caroline didn't find it.
Suddenly, Tyler fell onto his knee while gripping his head. The blonde-haired beauty watches him bewildered and nervous. "Tyler? Tyler?!" Caroline step forward.
However, Kol quickly went to his vampire and stopped her but pressed his cold palm onto her arm. Caroline shudder rather harshly and glanced at her left side where her ghost friend is. "Kol?" she mumbled, puzzled.
Tyler groaned loudly as he jerked his head up to reveal his once brown eyes shifted to bright amber orbs. Caroline gap at him in horror and dumbfounded.
"Fucking bloody werewolf!" Kol cursed loudly as he finally realized it now. He felt like an idiot. Lockwood family has a curse and if it has triggered then they became a werewolf. Tyler Lockwood has become a werewolf.
On purpose by someone who had set the stage.
And Kol wouldn't be too surprised that Katherine Pierce has something to do with this.
.
.
.
Later…
Kol watches his vampire using fabrication to cover the truth behind Sarah's death. The blonde-haired beauty is explaining to Mrs. Lockwood, the Mayor of the Mystic Falls. "—Matt and Tyler had a bit of disagreement and I tried to stop them since tonight was supposed to be a fun and happy time, you know? Matt left on his own and we didn't notice that Sarah was dancing her drunk off and just tripped. We checked on her and found out that she wasn't breathing."
Carol shakes her head sadly. "Okay… your mom's on her way and we called Sarah's parents." She sighed heavily. "It was an accident. It was a terrible, tragic accident." She said while glanced at the poor girl. She silently mourns the young girl.
"Mom." Carol shifted her eyes from the corpse to her son. "The Sheriff's here." Tyler informed her, solemnly.
Carol nodded her head. "I'll go prepare her, just don't leave." She ambled her way across the room to the doors. "Just stay here, okay? She's going to want to hear the story from you." She said, then left the room.
Tense, silent in the room while Kol watches his vampire and the newly werewolf. The ghost doesn't trust the werewolf as he knew that Tyler's bite will bring Caroline's death.
Tyler went to a dead body and stared at it blankly.
"Matt's in the car, sleeping it off." Caroline speaks up, nervously. "I'll deal with him… I don't want him involved in any of this." After all, Matt is only an innocent human being.
Tyler shifted his gaze over to her with questioning. "What are you doing?" he steps closer to her.
"Oi, mate… don't get close to her." Kol warned the werewolf as he is close to his vampire. Caroline could barely feel her ghost friend behind her. "I'm fixing a very bad situation." Caroline answered, awkwardly.
The werewolf narrowed his eyes at her. "Why? I did this. I killed her."
"No, you didn't mean to." Caroline shakes her head, denied. "And I think it's best for everyone—"
Tyler interjected harshly. "But she's dead! You don't know what that means." Kol snorted rudely and Caroline stared at him calmly.
"Actually, Tyler, I think I do."
The werewolf shakes his head. "No, you don't Caroline."
"Oh, shut up." Kol rolled his eyes, irked by the stupid werewolf who clearly has no idea what his vampire went through in her life.
Caroline narrowed her eyes at Tyler. "Has your wound healed?"
Tyler stared at her with perplexed then slowly went to check his wound and saw it was completely healed. He touches his smooth skin with disbelief then glanced at Caroline. "How did you—" he trailed off in shock.
The blonde-haired beauty just stares at him, coolly.
Kol watches his vampire and the werewolf staring at each other in silence which made him feel tense and suspicious as he doesn't like this one bit.
