Wow wow! *flatter* Thanks for the reviews, favs, and follows! xD

I've noticed that most of the readers are curious about Klaus and his interest in Caroline. And the whole love triangle even though it's obvious this is Koroline/Koline/Kololine (I don't even know which one of the shipping names it is, to be honest *confuse*) story.

I am not too sure about the whole love triangle or having Klaus' attraction toward our blonde beauty. It depends on how this story goes and how the characters are developing, how they are either bonding or breaking relationships such as friends, family, and love. It really depends. So, we shall see. *shrug*

Mystic Falls
Forbes' Residence
Caroline's Bedroom
Night…

Kol stared at his vampire who is in completely stunned and speechless for the last ten minutes. He raised his eyebrows at her with inquisitive. "Darling…" he called out as he extends his fingertips to poke her forehead. However, there wasn't any reaction from the blonde-haired beauty. "Is it really that much of a shock that you have an Original cursed ghost in your company?" he said, dryly. More like my cursed soul is bound to yours. He added, silently.

The wild Original poke his vampire's forehead a couple more times. "Come on, love. Please snap out of it." Nothing which irked and worried him. He attempts to figure out a way to snap his vampire's out. Then an idea popped into his mind and a mischievous smirk appeared on his face. "Don't say I didn't try to recover you." Kol lifted his fingers and gently feather-like touches Caroline's cheek, slowly glide down to her jawline to her pink lips and to her chin.

Kol kept his eyes on her to see any response from her which is none. So, he continues to glide his feather-like touches to her neck and the bite mark that he silently vowed long ago that he will get rid of it for her with his ancient and magic blood. Then he dances his fingers across Caroline's skin in an almost seductive manner like a lover's kiss. "Sweetheart…" the transparent Original leans forward toward his vampire.

His ghostly lips barely touch her lips and watch her dim orbs finally clear that brighten up her blue-green colors. "…oh my God!" Caroline blinked few times as her head jerked back and shudder heavily when she realizes how freezing she is. "Kol!" she snapped, feeling a bit agitated and flustered. She could feel the icy-cold everywhere on her bare skin.

A smug smirk appeared on his face."Hey, you wouldn't snap out of it." He blunted, mildly defensive.

Caroline shakes her head and glances at the notebook. Two words. Curse and Original. She bit her inner cheek while staring at it contemplatively. "…you're an Original… and you're curse." She released a shuddering sigh.

How is this even possible?

Why is this happening to her?

She closed her eyes for a moment to collect her muse. "Elena was kidnapped because she was target by Originals. And… you…" she opens her eyes and eyeing her room warily. "…are you also interest in her?" she asked, almost emotionlessly.

"Fuck no. No, no, no, and no. I am not interested in doppelgangers." Kol snorted with offensive. In fact, he rather kills the minger doppelganger because he doesn't like her, and it will piss his brother off.

The blonde-haired beauty's tense shoulders relax a bit. "What do you mean by a curse? Does it have something to do with you being… ghost?" Kol taps her shoulder that she is correct. "Huh… okay. Umm… Original meaning first vampire… which also means, you are a vampire?"

"Yes, sweetheart." Kol brushes his finger against her cheek.

Caroline shivers at the freezing touch on her cheek. "So, let me get this straight. You are an Original who is a vampire but somehow you are curse and now is a… ghost?" she guessed; a bit awkward.

Kol hummed thoughtfully. "In a way. More of me being a daggered in a bloody coffin someplace where my paranoid bastard of a brother lives in and my soul is bound to you, according to a dead Bennett witch." He deadpan.

"Daggered? You mention that before…" Caroline furrowed her eyebrows, contemplative. "And you said soul, bastard, and Bennett? As in, Bonnie Bennett, my best friend?" she reached her notebook and turn to a fresh page to write down new information. She needs to recollect her mind in a proper organized and clear understanding. "Should I go and talk with Bonnie about you?"

"Bloody hell no!" Kol shook his head, refuses. As much as he truly likes and respects witches, he doesn't trust the Bennett witches. Especially when Emily Bennett never really helps him a few months ago. Not only that but her riddle has also been stuck in the back of his mind for a long time. Elena Gilbert and Bonnie Bennett are not the only ones who have ancestors over a thousand years ago. Kol mused, perfectly remembered what a dead witch told him.

Caroline frowned. "You said hell which I assume the next word after that would be no?" Kol taps her shoulder, as she assumed correctly. "Okay… I know that Lexi and Lee knew about you. But do you want me to tell them the truth? About… you know, curse and stuff?"

The wild Original thought about it but he decided it wouldn't be a wise idea since he rather not risk his vampire's into danger. Caroline took the silence for no since she didn't receive any cold touch from him.

"Guess I'll keep a secret." A small smile appeared. "I don't know what's going on or what is happening but… you are my friend, Kol and you've been there for me no matter what—" she paused when she suddenly remembered something. "I said earlier to Tyler that I was alone. But… I wasn't completely alone, was I? You… you were there for me." Caroline whisper, grateful and happy. "Thank you."

Kol smirk at her and brushes her cheek with the back of his fingers. "Silly darling… you don't need to thank me. I will always be there for you for as long as you need me." He promised to his vampire with adores in his eyes.

Caroline closed her eyes with a sweet smile on her face. She wishes she could hear him completely and most of all…

She kind of wants to see him.

Forbes' Residence
Caroline's Bedroom
Morning…

The ringtone sang in the silent bedroom that made Kol snapped out of it as he was dozing off on the ground with his back lean against the bed. He blinked few times and glanced up at his vampire. Caroline groans softly as she turns on her other side and reaches for the nightstand where her phone was. The blonde-haired beauty fumbles few times until her fingers met the cold metal and curled it around.

Caroline drags it to her and blindly answered the phone with the speaker on out of habit. "'Lo?" she mumbled as her eyes are still close, refuse to open in the bright morning.

"Linnie?" Kol instantly recognized the voice while Caroline grunt in response. "Sorry to call you so early but I got your voice message yesterday. You mention about your friend, Tyler?"

The blonde-haired beauty opens her one eye halfway. "Yeah?"

"Full moon is tomorrow, and you need to make sure that he finds a place to stay for the entire night. And do not let him run wild in the town otherwise, it'll be raining blood." Lexi gravely said.

The wild Original silently agreed with Lexi while Caroline closed her eyes and shifted on her back. She rubs her sleepy eyes for a brief moment. "Don't worry, Lexi—" she yawned. "—I plan to help him and stay by his side." She assured her friend and lowered her hands to her stomach.

"I don't like that plan." Kol blunted, displeased.

Fortunately, Lexi feels the same way. "Whoa, there. You can help him to prepare but once he starts experiencing his inner wolf. Do not stick close to him. You have to stay out of it. Go outside or wherever at the safe distance." She warned the blonde-haired beauty.

Caroline opens her eyes with an anxious frown. "I can't do that! I saw his uncle—from the video that he taped on his first full moon transformation—and it was awful. I can't just allow Tyler to experience it alone. He doesn't deserve it!" she pushed herself to sit up without caring how messy wild her hair was.

Kol frowned at her mixture of frustration and fondness. He knew how much his vampire cares about her friends.

Lexi sighed softly. "Linnie… I understand. I know a werewolf who is very important to me. I desperately want to be by their side and comfort them. I want to be there while they are experiencing the terrible agony with their inner wolf. I want to try to lessen their pain so badly… but… werewolf is very dangerous. Especially to our kind. Your friend—Tyler—can bite you during his transformation and you will die. I'm very serious, Linnie. You can't get close to him during his transformation."

The wild Original will be eternally grateful for Lexi. She has no idea that she just saves his vampire from being reckless. Caroline bit her bottom lip, worried and troubled. She really wants to be there for her friend but if Lexi said that it's dangerous to be close to a werewolf then…

Caroline's shoulders slumped with disappointment. "I want to help him, Lexi… I don't want him to feel alone."

"I get it. I really do." Lexi said, understandingly. "But do not worry about him feeling alone. When I was there for my werewolf friend. They said they could feel my presence in the distance, and it made them feel less alone. They appreciated it a lot and it was worth it. They also liked that I stay at a safe distance because they will feel guilty and ashamed if they hurt me or worst, kill me. Because they rather have me safe and be in their life than accidentally kill me and not be in their life. Do you get what I mean?"

The blonde-haired beauty glanced at her phone thoughtfully while Kol stood up to his feet and sat on the side of her bed. He peeks at her face with a calculating gaze. A small smile appeared on her face. "Yeah… I get it. Thanks, Lexi." She feels a bit better knowing that Tyler will at least feel her presence, so he won't be alone tomorrow.

The dark-blonde vampire sigh with relief. "Excellent. I am sorry that I can't be there to help." She apologized.

Caroline shakes her head while attempt to fix her messy bed hair with her fingers. "Don't be. You and Lee are still helping with your friend, right?" she recalled that they left for a friend emergency.

Lexi hummed in response through the phone. "May I ask, is everything okay with your friend? And where's Lee?" it's strange not to hear anything from Lee since he always greets her every time she and Lexi call.

"Lee is still helping a friend. It's going to take a while. I could call but not as usual since this friend really needs all our help. Need a lot of healing from us and even thought about having a witch involved." Caroline and Kol blinked at the phone in surprise. "So, this means that I won't be available as much as I used to. But either Lee or I will answer your call if you have an emergency. We won't ignore you. You are our friend, no matter what. Call us and we will help you. Okay?"

Caroline smiles happily with bright eyes. "Aww… thanks Lexi." She truly appreciates having such amazing friends. "From now on, I will text you with SOS and that's when you'll know if I'm in danger. In return, you and Lee do the same?" she wants to be there for her friends as well.

" Promise?"

"Promise." The blonde-haired beauty assured.

After that, they talked a bit more on a lighter topic then hang up when Lexi had to leave to help her friend. They exchanged their farewells and hang up their calls. Caroline exhaled loudly and shifted her gaze to the clock, noted that it was barely six in the morning. "Early." She mumbled then scanned around in her bedroom. "Kol?"

"I'm here, darling." Kol gently touches her cheek which made her shiver rather violently.

"God… you are way too freezing. I wonder if that's part of the curse." Caroline murmured with wonder yet a smile on her face.

The transparent ghost ponders for a bit. "It's a possibility." He shrugs his shoulders as he really doesn't have any idea what kind of curse that a vengeful witch did to him.

The blonde-haired beauty shoves her duvet and sheet away from her legs and swings them over the edge of her bed. "Whatever it is—curse or whatever—I will help you, Kol. I promise." Her blue-green orbs glint with a strong determination which surprises Kol. "I don't care how long it takes, since I have forever so…" a confident smile lit up her face. "I will help you free from curse someday, Kol." She vowed, genuinely and sincerely.

Kol stared at her in dazed and shock. His undead heart swells with admiration, fondness, happiness, and most of all…

Love.

The wild Original lifted his hands to cups her cheeks softly which made her shudder by the icy-cold touch, but she didn't jerk away nor stop him. Instead, she leans toward the touch even though it's so freezing cold for her. Caroline didn't care. "Original or not. You are my friend, Kol. I don't want you to be curse. So, don't worry. We'll find a way." She promised as she fluttered her eyes close while accepting the icy-cold touch.

"you are one of a kind, Caroline." Kol whispered, fondly while examined her beautiful face with adored eyes.

She is truly a treasure, a precious gem that Kol silently vows to never let her go as she will be his eternal one. Only her and no one else.

Mystic Grill
Next Day…

Caroline is sitting at the table while waiting for Tyler to arrive alone. She is playing with a straw in the glass cup of water while hitting the block of ice in boredom. Kol scanning around the place with neutral interest and mildly curiosity.

Luckily, it didn't take too long when Tyler arrived through the doors into the grill. The Lockwood werewolf approaches Caroline with edgy and nervous in his eyes. "Hey." He placed his duffle bag on the table.

"Hey." Caroline greeted her friend happily, but her smile fell when she noticed how worried Tyler looks while Kol raises his eyebrow with slight curiosity. "What's wrong?"

Tyler leaned forward and speak in a low voice. "This girl Mason knows stopped by the house. She said he never made it back to Florida. My mom is freaking out and she was on the phone with your mom when I left." He informed the blonde-haired beauty whose eyes widened in surprise.

Kol grinned sharply. "It seems that Salva-whore will finally get the taste of having a werewolf as his enemy sooner than I thought." He sniggers with gleeful.

"We should get going." Tyler jerked his head at the exit doors.

Caroline snapped out of it and nodded her head. "Yeah." She grabbed her purse and stood up while Tyler adjusted the strap over his shoulder and left. Caroline and Kol followed the Lockwood werewolf and Kol noticed his vampire gave her a knowing look at the vampire hunter slash history teacher who had eavesdropped on their conversation.

Kol hummed with neutral wonder then focus on his vampire instead.

Woods
Lockwood Old Cellar
Later…

Kol couldn't help but be impressed with how the Lockwood werewolf prepared with a bunch of chains from the rings and bolts everywhere. His dark gaze carefully studied each of the chains with approval. "Not bad for the first timer." He reluctantly praised although, he still doesn't like the werewolf.

Caroline has been watching Tyler preparing the chains on his own while she crossed her arms, feeling awkward and guilty. She still feels bad that Tyler will never know the truth about his uncle's death. She attempts to clear her mind and open her mouth. "Tell me you brought the instruction manual."

Tyler bends down at the bag to grab another long length of chain. "Tell me you brought the wolfsbane." He countered instead.

"Yes." Tyler lifted his head at her interest when Caroline went to her purse that she put down earlier. She dug in her purse to take out a plastic bag and opened it. "Not an easy herb to find but this is it." She took out the wolfsbane, showing Tyler who steps closer to inspect.

Kol just watches without any hint of warning when the Lockwood werewolf touches it. However, it burns his fingers as he yelped in pain and jerked back. Caroline stared at him with wide eyes in surprise, unexpected by his violent reaction. "Bloody git werewolf." The transparent ghost rolled his eyes.

"I have a water bottle in my bag, we can mix it in there." Tyler informed her while rubbing his painful fingers that it slowly heal itself. He went to finish setting up the chains.

Caroline hummed in response, went to the bag, and bend down. She grabbed a water bottle, open the cap and put some powder from the wolfsbane in the bottle. The blonde-haired beauty shakes the bottle to mix them. Kol shakes his head. "It's useless. Just because you try to drink wolfsbane to weaken yourself during transformation doesn't mean you will be weak, werewolf. It'll only just delay you during the transformation, making it longer and more painful than necessary." Kol comment, offhandedly. He still couldn't believe there are werewolves out there that are willing to do this type of method. They are bloody stupid.

"The guy at the hardware store said this set-up could hold up to five thousand pounds." Tyler speaks up while adjusted the chain that sticks strong and firmly in the ring.

Caroline glanced up from the mixture bottle with curiosity. "Is that more than a werewolf can pull?"

"I have no idea." The Lockwood werewolf double-checked each chain by pulling them with his strength to make sure they are stronger than him.

The blonde-haired beauty stared at him for a brief moment with hesitation. "Hey, Tyler. How are you doing?"

"Still human." He strides over the back of the cave behind Caroline who stood on her feet while holding the bottle with worried. Kol twitches when he noticed the werewolf takes off his shirt to reveal his naked torso. "What the bloody hell are you doing?!" he snapped, not liking the fact that this git werewolf is stripping clothes while his vampire is in the same area.

Caroline turned her head but instantly look away while covering her eyes. "Oh my God, you're not gonna get naked, are you?" she blurted in flabbergasted and flustered while Kol hisses at the werewolf as he stood in front of his vampire. Even though it's completely futile but he doesn't care.

"It's elastic." Tyler pointed it out while he adjusted his shorts and Caroline slowly peek at him cautiously. "What should I wear? I don't think it's like The Hulk, where I get to keep my pants."

The blonde-haired beauty cleared her throat and looked away with red cheeks. Kol grumbling to himself as he crossed his arms, sulking. He doesn't want his vampire to go anywhere near this semi-naked werewolf. At all.

.

.

A bright full moon shines in the dark sky can be seen through the hole inside the cave. Kol is full of tension and apprehension as he wants his vampire to leave this cave as soon as possible. Tyler has chains wrapped around each wrist and ankle, as well as a chain looped around his neck, all attached to the walls of the cave. The Lockwood werewolf glanced at Caroline nervously. "What time is it?"

Caroline, who has been sitting on the rock quietly, grabbed her phone from her jacket pocket and pressed the button. "Almost eight." She answered then frown at Tyler with concern. "What time does the moon crest or whatever?"

"Apex, darling." Kol corrected her while eyeing the werewolf warily.

Tyler roams around ins the cave to attempt to get comfortable but he is still anxious. "Not for a while. Mason's journal said the first transformation can happen before the moon hits its apex." He explained, a bit fearfully.

Caroline placed her phone away in her pocket and playing with her fingers out of a nervous habit. "Does it say how long—you'll actually… be a wolf?"

"A few hours." Tyler walks to Caroline. "Maybe more, maybe less." He reached down to grab the bottle with the wolfsbane.

The blonde-haired beauty watches her friend who struggles against the chains as he dragged himself to the middle of the cave. "Are you sure—are you sure you want to do that?" she doesn't want to see him drink the awful toxin that could harm the werewolf.

Kol grimaced as he wonders why any werewolves willing to do this. Wolfsbane is poison to werewolves and vervains is a toxin to vampires. No supernatural wants to willingly drink the poison. Well, there are some vampires who are willing to drink vervain so they wouldn't be compelled by us. he mused, thinking about few traitors of vampires that he had to torture to flushed the vervain out of their systems. Good times, good time...

"Yeah." The Lockwood wolf opens the cap. "Mason said it'll diminish my strength so I can't break free."

The wild Original shakes his head, disapproved. "Bloody werewolves." They won't stop the werewolf's strength, but instead, they cause them to delay during transformation by having a long torture pain of burning and breaking bones—slowly.

Tyler bravely starts to drink the poison from the bottle. Caroline stood up as she covered her mouth with worried while Kol made a distasteful face.

The Lockwood werewolf drinks a few swallows, but he begins to choke and fell onto his knees on the ground. He gags, vomiting on the ground and hacking and coughing violently.

"Tyler…" Caroline steps closer to him while Kol eyeing his vampire and the werewolf cautiously. The blonde-haired beauty bends down to touch Tyler's back.

The Lockwood werewolf jerked forward, away from her touch. "No." Caroline kept persistent to comfort him however, Tyler snapped at her. "Don't! Don't!" the blonde-haired beauty curled her hands and bring them close to her chest. She didn't move away but stay close enough to watch Tyler with uneasy and worry.

After a few minutes of hacking and coughing, Tyler was breathing hard and heavy that he glanced at Caroline from the corner of his eyes. "…'m sorry." He mumbled, guilty and ashamed that he snapped at her when she obviously only trying to help him.

Caroline just gives him her comforting smile. She extends her hand to pats his head at a safe distance. Tyler's eyes starting to teary and stared at the ground quietly. Kol steps forward close to his vampire. The wild Original lifted his gaze up at the hole as he watches the full moon.

Soon, Tyler is in writhing in pain as he attempts to removes the chain but it was useless because he was too much in agony.

"Tyler?" Caroline dropped her hand away from Tyler while watching him with apprehension. Kol knew it's time that his vampire has to leave.

The Lockwood werewolf whimpers and cries. "I'm burning up. It burns!" he shouted painfully.

"Just… just breathe through this, okay. I'm here." The blonde-haired beauty attempt to comfort him.

However, Tyler jerked his head at her with watery eyes. "You should—go. You—should leave." He hisses through pain and struggles.

Caroline shakes her head, refuses to leave her friend alone. But Kol instantly touches his vampire's cheek. "Darling. You need to leave. Now. You promised." He reminded her, gravely. The blonde-haired beauty flinched when she heard words from her ghost friend and bit her lip with trouble.

"Ple—ase go!" Tyler screamed as his bones are breaking.

The blonde-haired beauty choked in tears as her blue-green orbs teary. Then use vamp-speed outside of the mouth of the cellar to close the gate and shut it. She wrapped the chains around the gate and locked it. Her tearful eyes watch her friend withering and rolling against the dirt while screaming as his bones continue breaking. When he lays on his back and it arches as his eyes dramatically shifted to yellow and fangs emerge.

Caroline knew she needs to leave before he spots her so, she quickly leaves the cellar and shut the wood door with metal latched closed. Her lips trembled, leaned heavily on her side against the door, and slowly lowers herself onto the ground. She sobbed with fear, sad and worried for her friend's gut-wrenching transformation.

Soon, the screams stopped in replaced with a growl is heard from the indoor of the cave. She knew that Tyler is now a wolf.

Kol bends down next to her while lowered his eyes to study her sad face. "Love…" he muttered as he reached his fingers to feather-like touches her tearful cheek. Caroline shivers while her eyes closed. She tiled her head, leaning more of his icy-cold touch for comfort. "…I… I knew that werewolf transformation would be painful but to think… watch it happened to him… it's too cruel, Kol." She whispers while stifled her sobbed. Not wanting to alarm the wolf.

The transparent Original's eyes soften. "You are too kind." He sat on the ground and lowered his fingers to land his palm onto her hand. Caroline opens her eyes halfway and her blue-green orbs stared at her cold hands. "…I wish I could touch you." Caroline murmured, wanting to feel her friend's comfort and hug him.

Kol's undead heart sank. "Me too, darling. I want to feel your skin…embrace your body to mine… and taste your lips…" he said mixture of longing and needs. Caroline tilted her head with puzzled. "I am not sure what you are saying exactly but I do get one thing. I want to hug you too." She said with a shy small smile.

"You will." The wild Original promised. "For now, I'm right here with you." He added, assured his vampire.

The blonde-haired beauty wipes her tears from her cheeks with one of her hands. "Please stay by my side." She doesn't want to be alone.

"For as long as you need me, love. I won't go anywhere." Kol stroke Caroline's cheek with the back of his finger gently. He watches her slowly fluttered her eyes close and admire her beauty that shines by the moonlight during the darkness of the night.
