Caroline's Bedroom — Night
"Bond-Channel Ceremony." Bonnie repeated, solemnly as her olive-green eyes stared at Caroline's blue-green orbs. "It's a very serious ritual for witches."
"No shit!" Kol snapped in disbelief and was baffled that the Bennett witch is offering such a crazy yet dangerous idea. "You forgot to add that it's practically forbidden, little witch!" he scowled darkly at the Bennett witch. He storms toward them and glares incredulity and angrily at oblivious Bonnie.
Caroline fidgeted anxiously and discomfort when she somehow felt colder than ice on her barely conceal shivers. She knew right away that her ghost friend is furious at what Bonnie said. "I-I'm sorry…" she shakes her head; attempting to understand what the witch is trying to tell her. "…I don't understand. Wh-what is… Bond-Channel Ceremony?" she is puzzling with cautious.
"It allows a witch to channel magic from a source. Not only a witch can borrow the magic energy, but also can give away their magic to a source." Bonnie frown as she attempts to explain for Caroline to understand. "It's like… sharing magic in a way." She made a face, unsure if her explanation makes sense.
The blonde-haired beauty furrowed her eyebrows with perplexity while Kol runs his fingers through his hair. "You are mad. Why would you offer such an idiotic proposal I'll never understand."
"I-I don't know, Bon… it sounds like… dangerous?" Caroline is hesitant and uncertain.
The petite witch shakes her head. "Sorry. I don't know how to explain this. But my ancestor, Emily—" Caroline mouthed the name with a recognized glint in her eyes while Kol scowled at the thought of that bitch Bennett. "—told me answers is in this Imogen's journal." Bonnie lifted the old journal.
"Then, let's read her journal… maybe there's an explanation and details about the Bond-Channel Ceremony." Caroline suggested as she shifted her gaze to the journal with interest and curiosity. Kol muttered unintelligible under his breath, however, he steps closer to his vampire with curiosity sparks in his dark eyes.
Bonnie nodded her head as she agreed with Caroline's suggestion. They both slid close to each other, and the Bennett witch carefully open the worn-out journal. "This journal belongs to Imogen Bennett." Bonnie read out loud.
Kol sat next to Caroline's other side, barely touching her body that she nearly shivers from the wintery cold. Her blue-green orbs focus on the small journal. "Look at the date…" she whispered softly with amazed.
"March Fourteen-ninety-two, Sweden… that's very close to the fifteenth century." Bonnie said, interested.
"And your ancestor was in Sweden." Caroline pointed it out with astonishment amazed. Kol isn't surprised to know that Bennett witches are nearly everywhere in many different states and countries over centuries.
Bonnie flipped the few pages and noted that her ancestor had written in English on the journal. "…look at this page… I have finally arrived in Sweden to find a meadow. The place I always dreamed of, my vision that has never changed ever since I was born. I do not know why it was very important, but I must go there. Otherwise, I will regret it." Bonnie flips the page and saw the beautiful details of the meadow drawn on the page.
"Wow… Imogen was talented." Caroline noted with awed. Kol hummed neutrally as he is aware that most of the witches he knew do tend to draw things from their visions. It was very common for them.
Bonnie quickly skims over a couple of pages of the old journal. "Imogen wrote how she was searching for the meadow for weeks in Sweden…" she trails off as her eyes caught the word. "… I found her, and I never would have thought I met a pure creature that exists in my timeline. I have discovered that her name was Emmanuella." Caroline peeks at the page with intrigue while Kol perks up.
"That's my ancestor!" the blonde-haired beauty gush with excitement to learn something about her ancestor. She leaned closer to Bonnie's shoulder. Their heads nearly touch as their eyes are on the pages. Caroline picks up where Bonnie's left on as she read. "Emmanuella… The moment Emmanuella informed me of what she is, I immediately knew that I had to stay by her side and protect her from the danger. It was not safe for the shadow world to learn of what she is. I had spent many moons with her on a journey. Oh, wow…"
When Bonnie turned the page, her ancestor listed different places where Imogen went on adventures with Emmanuella.
After a moment of reading about Imogen's friendship with Emmanuella and adventures until they found the information. This time, Bonnie read out loud with gasps. "Emmanuella and I decided to do the Bond-Channel Ceremony…"
Kol was baffled. "Bloody hell?!"

"So they both did it?" Caroline asked, curious as she shifted her blue-green eyes to her best friend. Bonnie carefully read the details of the ritual.
The Bennett witch huffed with astonishment and wondered. "Apparently it's a very commitment ritual." She replied. "Listen to this, Bond-Channel Ceremony was a very risky ritual to use, especially for witches and warlocks. Emmanuella is made of magic—incalculable magic. However, the price was that I cannot use my ancestors' magic. It will harm Emmanuella since it will act as if I betray her. I refuse to do so. Emmanuella is my best friend, and very important to me. Knowing that I want to do this ritual will make my magic—our magic to recognize each other as magical sisters. Emmanuella is not a witch, but she will have a few advantages by having a Bond-Channel with my magic. I will receive her magic even though it is very powerful and will take time for my magic core to get use to her size of foreign magic. It is all positive however, I must be very gentle and careful how to use her magic otherwise, my magic core will obliterate, and I will die from an overload of foreign magic…" she trails off, incredulity.
Caroline gap at the amount of information from Imogen's journal while the transparent Original waves his hand over at the dead witch's book. "See? Bad idea!" Kol declared it then raise his eyebrows at his vampire. "Made of incalculable magic, huh? Just how much magic do you have, darling?" he muttered, intrigued.
Bonnie lowered the journal thoughtfully. "Huh…"
"…well, I think doing the Bond-Channel Ceremony is a bad idea, Bon." Caroline blunted, much to Kol's fondly amused and relief.
The Bennett witch bit her lower lip as she lifted her gaze to her blonde vampire best friend. "But… if we don't use the Bond-Channel Ceremony, then…"
Caroline's shoulders slumped when the realization hit her. "You'll die if you use all a hundred dead witches' power on Klaus." She did not like this at all. "There has to be another way, Bonnie."
"I don't think there is, Care." Bonnie whispered, regretfully.
Kol snorted with disbelief. "That's where you are wrong, little witch. There is another way." Honestly, if he is in his own body right now. He would make sure to have the little Bennett witch be properly trained by successful and powerful witches he knew owed him a favor or two.
The mischief Original noticed that his vampire glanced over in his direction puzzling over his words. "There. Is. Another. Way." He repeated a few times until he saw Caroline's blue-green eyes brighten up with eagerness and hope.
"No." Caroline rejected as she turned her head to Bonnie with resolve and confidence. "There will be another way." Bonnie raises her skeptical eyebrow. "Seriously, Bon. You have at least a dozen or more grimoire, right?" the tiny witch leisurely nods her head with confusion. "I bet there's a spell for something that can help you with the channeling witchy stuff."
Bonnie hummed softly as she thought about it for a moment. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to look for it." Although she is a bit doubtful.
"And I'm going to help you." Caroline promised. Kol leaned forward, lightly brushing his transparent shoulders against his vampire's shoulder. "I'll help as well, sweetheart." The blonde-haired beauty held back her shivers almost out of habit as her lips spread into a beautiful smile.
The Bennett witch smiles gratefully at her best friend. "Okay. I have Dr. Martin's grimoires in my car." It's a good thing that she hasn't dropped them off at her house yet.
"Perfect!" Caroline cheered as she stood up from her bed while Kol watches her fondly. "Let's get to it! And!" she held up her index finger with a faux-serious face as Bonnie stood up with a confused frown. "You're staying the night."
Bonnie huffed with amused yet fondness glint in her eyes. "Got it." She mockingly salutes the blonde-haired beauty. Caroline flips her hair over her shoulder dramatically in response then they both exchange giggles over their silly antics.
The wild Original shakes his head with adoration at his vampire.

Hours later as the night was full and the moon shines in the dark sky. Kol watches over his vampire with soft eyes. Caroline and Bonnie have fallen asleep over the dozen opened grimoires everywhere. The blonde-haired beauty is laying on the floor on her side, her head rested on her folded arm, her other hand rested on top of the grimoire, and her legs slightly curled. The Bennett witch is laying on her back against the bed, an open grimoire laid on her stomach as her chest slowly shifted up and down like a lullaby.
The ghost Original has a few ideas for the tiny witch, but the spells are too powerful or/and not enough time to do. Kol is a thousand-year-old Prince Original and he should at least know one spell that could help the Bennett witch.
His muse is interrupted by the ringtone that goes off. Caroline and Bonnie groan simultaneously at the annoying sound that disturbs their sleep. "Bonnie. Your phone." The blonde-haired beauty grumbled, recognizing that it wasn't her cell phone.
The witch barely lifted her head with one eye open. "I don't know where it is…" she sleepily responds.
Kol watches them with mirth dancing in his dark eyes.
The ring stopped much to the vampire and a witch's relief. They slowly return to their sleep; however, Bonnie's cell phone goes off once again. "I'm going to destroy your phone." Caroline growled, exasperatedly.
"I won't get mad." The Bennett witch yawned as she barely cover her mouth.
Kol snorted with amusement.
The blond-haired beauty lifted her head tiredly while blinking her sleepy eyes. She quickly scanned around in her slightly messy bedroom until she spotted a cell phone on the vanity. "It's on my vanity." She mumbled.
Bonnie shoves the grimoire off her stomach to her side, rolled around to lay on her stomach, and glares at her cell phone on the vanity. Her phone stopped ring which the girls just stare at the annoying object that was rudely awakening them.
The mischief Original never would've thought watching them both could be so hilarious to him.
Once again, the witch's cell phone rings again. Caroline's chest rumbled with anger which Kol perk up with interest and slightly turned on while Bonnie huffed loudly.
The tiny witch raised her hand at the cell phone with the use of her magic. Her phone flew to her hand, and she immediately answered. "What." She snapped, irritated and tired.
"Hey judgy witch. Did you do it?" Damon's voice was heard through her ear while Caroline made a disgusted face when she recognized her abuser's voice.
Bonnie rolls her eyes. "Yes, Damon. I did it. I have the powers. Is that all?" she snippy replied as Kol scowled darkly when he heard that soon-to-be-dead fucker's name.
"Geez, no need to be so snippy." The Bennett witch scoffed and then hangs up on him without caring which Kol approved. She placed her phone at her side on top of the grimoire and dropped her head onto the bed.
Caroline mumbled under her breath with slightly irked and start curling up on the ground, comfortably like a cat. Her eyes fluttered close and sigh contently.
The mischief Original's dark eyes soften as his scowling lips slowly change to a gentle smile while watching his vampire. Then his gaze shifted to Caroline's Tree of Life pendant contemplatively then glance over to slumber Bonnie.
Instantly, he knew a perfect spell for the little witch.
A victory smirk appeared on his handsome face.

Next Day…
Kol eyeing at the poster for the sixties-decade dance that is attached to the wall. He wrinkles his nose at it even though he has never seen the sixties thanks to his stupid paranoid bastard of a brother. Caroline noticed the poster with excitement. "I can't wait for the dance, Bon." She said, merrily as she loops her arm into Bonnie's arm.
Bonnie hummed happily. "Me too."
"Wanna be my date?" Caroline wiggles her eyebrows playfully at the witch who chuckled with amusement.
The tiny witch tutted, playfully. "I wish, but I'm going to go with Jeremy, hopefully." She tightens her arm-holding with her best friend.
"What do you mean by hopefully?" Caroline frowned at her best friend with confusion while Kol walked next to his vampire's side.
Bonnie sighed. "We both know that Jeremy hates decades dance or anything that involves dancing events." She reminded her vampire best friend, gently.
"Ah…" Caroline made a noise of acknowledgment as she recalled it.
"Another reason why you shouldn't date that baby Gilbert." Kol muttered, still believing that Bonnie Bennett could find someone better.
The blonde-haired beauty tilted her head. "Well, if he still doesn't want to go then, I'll be your date." She grinned at Bonnie.
The petite witch narrowed her eyes at Caroline with slight playful then nodded her head. "Alright. If Jeremy doesn't want to go with me—I won't force him to come, then you can be my date." Caroline nearly swoons which makes Bonnie chortle.
The transparent Original shakes his head with a slight half-smirk of mirth in his dark gaze. It's a shame and disappointing that he can't take his darling girl to the dance. Once again.
The school bell rang which alerts the students of warning that class will start soon. "I'll see you later." Caroline said, happily to Bonnie who smiles at her.
"See ya."
Kol follows his vampire to her class with memorization of her schedule.

Later…
Caroline sauntered around the area with a clipboard in her hands as she is checking over the tables where members and volunteers are painting the posters of sixties decades dance. Few others are painting the old van that is covered with colorful styles that match the sixties.
Kol made an appalled face when he noticed the styles and arts that involves the sixties. "How unpleasantly dull…" he muttered, not liking the styles. Maybe it's a good thing he missed this time of decade.
The blonde-haired beauty took out a few papers from the clipboard as she ambled her way toward one of the members. "Hey, Dana." Dana paused as she held up her paintbrush with a curious face. "Can you take care of these?" she asked, hopefully.
Dana set the paintbrush down, gently takes the paper, and skim over it. "Sure." She nodded her head.
Caroline smiles with relief. "Thank you." She knew she could trust Dana since Dana is one of the most active participants in decades of dances and always volunteering to help out with anything she could to the best of her ability. It also helps that Dana is one of the amazing cheerleaders and kind-hearted friends.
The blonde-haired beauty observed around with sharp eyes to make sure there are no mishaps or trouble. Much to her pleased that things are going steady so far. "Good…" she walks to one of the tables that are left with half-covered paint on the banner.
Caroline picked up the paintbrush as she scanned around carefully and lowered her head. "Kol…" the transparent Original raise his eyebrow at her as he steps closer to her.
"Yes, darling?" he gently brushes against his vampire's cheek with the back of his fingers.
The blonde-haired beauty bit her bottom lip while painting neon green on the words. She could easily feel his icy-touch on her cheek. Caroline pressed her cold cheek against her shoulder to attempt warm it. Kol's lips twitch fondly. "Sorry I couldn't talk to you since I was with Bonnie… but please tell me you know anything that could help her with a spell?" she barely moved her lips with hopeful shines in her blue-green orbs.
"I know a spell. Little witch needs talismans first." Kol leaned his backside against the table with his arms crossed. He watches his vampire painting with neutral interest.
"Talisman…" Caroline hummed as she recalled the ugly necklace months ago. "…like that ugly necklace, right? The ghost—Emily one, who used to haunt Bonnie?" Kol taps his vampire so that she is corrected. "Huh… so, Bon needs her own talisman. It will help with the whole not dying if she uses all the powers on Klaus?"
The mischief Original hummed contemplatively. "Pair talismans. For you. For her." He reiterated as he inwardly vowed that he will be eternally grateful once he returns to the living world when he is undaggered.
Caroline finished painting and set the paintbrush down on the side while letting the warm sun dry the paints. "What's the spell? Is it somewhere on one of the grimoires?"
"Should be. It's called Geminae Phylacterium." He made sure that his vampire got the name for the spell.
"I'll inform Bonnie." Caroline promised.

Meanwhile…
"Come on, please?" Bonnie pleaded with her boyfriend who look hesitant when she asked if he was going to the decades' dance with her. They both are sitting at one of the lunch tables inside the cafeteria.
Jeremy's lips pressed together while thinking while Bonnie stare at him hopefully. The younger Gilbert sighed loudly as his shoulders slumped with resigned. "Fine."
"Really?" Bonnie perked up excitedly. Jeremy's lip twitch with a weak smile and nodded his head. "Great! Thank you." She hugged her boyfriend happy.
Elena steps forward to them as she is holding a tray of her lunch. "Hey guys." A warm smile appeared on her face when she watches them break the hug.
Jeremy nods his head and greeted his sister while Bonnie waves lazily at her. "Excuse me. I need to talk to my art teacher about the assignment so…" the young Gilbert stood up from the bench, grabbed his backpack, and swing the strap of the bag over his shoulder.
"Wait, Jer. Are you okay at the house alone with John?" the brunette doppelgänger asked, wondering.
Jeremy shrugs his shoulders. "It's not ideal."
Elena nods her head understandingly. "You haven't heard from Jenna, have you?" with a bit of reluctance hope.
However, it vanished when Jeremy shakes his head. "It looks like she's staying on campus." Then he bit his farewell to them and left.
Elena took Jeremy's spot with a disappointed sigh. "I don't know if I'm ever going to talk to her again or she probably won't forgive me."
"It's alright, Elena. Everything's going to be okay." Bonnie comforted her brunette best friend. Elena placed her chin on her palm, slightly sulking.
Suddenly, Dana sauntered her way toward them. "Hey Elena, there you are." She stopped at their table, gained the witch and the doppelgänger's attention. "Okay. This is going to sound freaky, but this totally hot guy just asked me to ask you if you're going to the dance tonight."
Elena huffed out with a laugh while Bonnie shakes her head. "Tell him she has a boyfriend." The witch informed Dana, politely.
"You could at least meet him." Dana uttered as she leaned her palm against the table. "He'll be at the dance tonight. Look for him. His name is Klaus." Elena paled as Bonnie straighten up her spine alarmingly fast.
The brunette shakes her head quickly. "I'm sorry, what did you just say?" she hopes she heard it wrong.
"His name's Klaus. I know the name's stupid, but I swear he's hot." Dana assures with a big smile on her face.
Bonnie scanned around warily. "Where is he? Is he here?" she asked, cautious as she is thinking about Caroline.
"I don't know." Dana answered, confused.
Elena understood. "She's been compelled." She whispered to the witch who silently curse under her breath.
Dana smiles widely. "But he wants to know if you'll save him the last dance. How cute is that?" she commented which made Elena smiles weakly. The witch and the doppelgänger watch Dana walked away cheerfully.
"I need to go." Bonnie stood up from the bench and grabbed her bag while worried about Caroline.
Elena jerked her head at the tiny witch, baffled. "W-wait, where are you going?"
The Bennett witch was hesitant for a moment. "Don't worry. I'll be at the dance tonight, watch over you and make sure Klaus doesn't go anywhere near us." 'And make sure that he is far away from Caroline.' She mused, darkly as she won't be hesitant to use her magic on the enemy.
The doppelganger watches Bonnie quickly walks away, completely flabbergasted and bemused.

"Caroline!" the blonde-haired beauty halted as she was in the middle of packing the paintbrushes in the boxes. She turned her head to her left side and saw Bonnie jogging toward her with a solemn face. Kol narrowed his eyes at the witch cautious.
"Something's wrong." Kol stated, with a guard up.
The blonde-haired beauty frowned deeply when she noticed how Bonnie is close to panicking. "Bon, what's wrong?" she set the objects down and meet her halfway.
Bonnie grabbed the vampire beauty's hands while her chest is heaving up and down. "Klaus. He compelled someone, delivered a message to Elena a few minutes ago." Caroline and Kol's eyes widen in surprise.
"That bastard is here?!" his undead heart lit up with slight hope that his body might be close by.
"Klaus is here?!" Caroline whisper-shouted at her while scanning around with an alarm glint in her eyes. Bonnie nodded her head as she tightens the blonde-haired beauty's hands.
The Bennett witch's eyes harden. "I don't know where he is, and we don't even know what he looks like." She said, disappointed.
"But I do." Kol said, poking his vampire's forehead silently reminding her of his identity. Luckily, Caroline's eyes brighten up with realization. "Don't worry. We'll know." Bonnie stared at her skeptically. "I even remember there's a spell in one of the grimoires I saw last night but I completely forgot to tell you." She fibbed skillfully.
Bonnie perks up with interest. "What is it?"
"I think it's called something like—Geminae Phylacterium?" Caroline questioned with a face, unsure if she pronoun correctly. Kol sent his fondness glance at his vampire at her cute attempt.
The Bennett witch tilted her head, pondering. "Geminae Phylacterium." She repeated in Latin almost perfectly. "I believe it translates to Twin Talisman… I think I saw that spell in it too…" she recalled one of the grimoires. "We need to go back to your house and look for that spell."
Caroline nodded her head without caring that they are ditching school. While Kol is busy thinking about his brother. To think that he might see Klaus soon. I'm going to find a way to be free from your paranoid claws, brother. The prince Original mused as he shifted his dark eyes on his vampire who is gabbing her things with Bonnie's help.
Kol truly wants to meet her in person and court her. He has so many plans for his vampire and promises that need to be kept. Soon, darling. Hopefully, I can be free for you. He allows a small hope to swell inside of his undead heart.

Later…
"Found it!" Caroline declared with relief as she and Bonnie has been searching for a certain spell for over two hours. She showed it to the tiny witch who is sitting on the ground. Bonnie grabbed it not unkindly and read the page carefully.
Kol leaned over Caroline's shoulders with interested hum. The blonde-haired beauty could feel the icy-touch on her back and her shoulder. Bonnie lowered the grimoire onto her lap with intrigue sparks in her olive-green orbs. "It's almost like Bond-Channel except this is like lower level but still powerful enough as long as we both wear the matching talisman." Bonnie explained.
"Will it help you to have a higher chance to survive?" Caroline asked, hopeful as she peeks over the page with curiosity and wonder.
Bonnie nodded her head. "Yes. Since I'm a witch and you're a…" she pressed her lips together, unable to say it which made the mischief's fascination by it.
"You really can't say it." Caroline cocked her amazed eyebrow at her best friend. Bonnie nodded her head in response.
"Anyways, this could work because we're both supernatural so, it will do." The Bennett witch studied the spell. "I just need a pair of objects that we both could wear."
Caroline perked up. "I know just the thing!" she replied, enthusiastic. Kol nearly stumbled back even though he knew his body will go through hers. The blonde-haired beauty went to her vanity, grabbed one of the drawers, and pulled it open.
Bonnie and Kol watch her with interest as she rummages for a brief moment then she made a noise from the back of her throat. She held up the object with triumph. The blonde-haired beauty stride back to Bonnie and handed her the items.
"Wait… these are…" Bonnie gasps softly when she gently picked up the dull colorful braided strings of handmade bracelets. "…didn't we make friendship bracelets when we were like—nine?" she released a lightly chuckled with a warm smile.
Caroline smiles warmly as she glances at the friendship bracelets. "Yeah… you, Elena, and I used to make tons of stuff. I made these two and never got to make the third one…" she trails off, recalling how three of them do many crafting stuff. How nine-year-old Caroline announced that she will make friendship bracelets. However, a nine-year-old Elena refused it because she doesn't like a tacky bracelet which caused the younger-version Caroline to give up.
Bonnie gently rubs the braided strings. "These two are perfect. Friendship bracelet. I love it." Caroline beams happily at her.
Kol's eyes soften when he noticed how truly happy his vampire looks when Bonnie accepted her handmade bracelet.
"Alright." The Bennett witch cleared her throat. "I'm gonna use the spell on these two and try not to forget to wear it every day." The blonde-haired beauty nods her head and got her message with attention.
The prince Original leaned forward with curious interest with the Bennett witch using the magic on the handmade bracelets as her eyes closed.
It didn't take a minute as she opens her eyes. "Finished." She handed one of the bracelets to Caroline with a pleased smile.
"That was fast." Caroline commented, surprised as she accepted the bracelet and tied it around her left wrist.
"Of course it's fast. Little witch has a hundred of dead witches' power." Kol offhandedly said.
Bonnie tied it around her right wrist and smiles contently at the friendship bracelet. "Thanks to the dead witches." Slowly she uses the magic on the bracelet that made it slightly shimmering. Caroline gasps with amazed when she felt warm around her left wrist by the bracelet. "Glad to know it works."
The two best friends exchange delighted smiles.
The wild Original eyeing them for a moment. It seems that their friendship bond got a bit deeper than before. He could tell that Bonnie is going to be faithful loyalty to Caroline. I wonder just how strong the bond goes between the Bennett witch and Sáõ. He mused, genuinely curious.

Moments Later…
Kol admitted that his vampire looks absolutely gorgeous in her sixties costume. He slowly examined the blonde-haired beauty's appearance with the desired smirk on his face. He wishes he could show her just how truly bloody stunning she is.
Caroline smoothed her tye-dye thigh-length dress with long billow sleeves that barely touches the edge of her palms. A dark pink peace symbol of a necklace drape over her chest, her Tree of Life pendant is adjusted to below her neck that acts as a semi-choker, a headpiece full of fake daisies wrapped around her head as she straightens her hair, big earrings of daisy-shaped, a daisy-shaped ring wrapped around her right middle finger, and dark blue go-go boots.
She has intentionally gone as Jackie O but, a certain stubborn ghost doesn't want her to wear pink clothes. Caroline couldn't help but be amused by Kol's persistence that he rather has her wear something blue. 'Does he like me wearing blue?' she mused, wondering. "So, what do you think Kol?"
"Beautiful." Kol replied softly, gently pressing the back of his finger against her neck where the bite wound is covered by make-up. Caroline shivers as a shy sweet smile appeared on her face.
The blond-haired beauty grabbed her small purse that has objects she needs, left the bedroom, to the corridor, and descended the stairs. The ghost Original follows her while enjoying watching her backside for a bit moment.
When the door opens, revealing Sheriff Forbes who steps inside. "There you are!" Caroline greeted her mother enthusiastically as she steps down the stairs.
Her mother looks slightly taken aback when she saw Caroline who opens her arms and twirl around happily. "How do I look?"
"You look lovely." Sheriff Forbes complimented her with forlorn eyes. Kol sharpens his eyes on her warily as he steps closer to his vampire protective. He doesn't know why, but he has a bad feeling about this.
The blonde-haired beauty beamed at her mother. "Thanks." Then she noticed Sheriff Forbes' expression. "Is everything okay?"
"Uuhh, just some work stress." The woman answered, tiredly.
Caroline hummed understandingly. "You work too much." She lightly scolded her mother with concern.
Sheriff Forbes smiles weakly. "Are you waiting for your date?"
"No she's not." Kol immediately retorts as Caroline shakes her head. "No date. I asked Bonnie to be her backup date, but Jeremy is going with her so I'm going solo." "Thank bloody Goddess for that." Kol muttered, relief.
The Sheriff looked surprised by her answer. "Oh… well, I do hope you have fun at the dance."
"I will." Caroline assures then glances at the clock on the wall. "I better go. I need to make sure the dance tonight is going well." After all, she is the Vice President of the Committee Events. The blonde-haired beauty smiles at her mother and walked to the door.
Sheriff Forbes watching Caroline glided out of the door with disheartened eyes, unaware that Kol is watching her with a suspicious glint in his dark eyes.

Mystic Falls
High School — Night
60s Decade Dance
The place was crowded with full of students dressing up in their sixty's costumes. Literally, almost everyone is dancing on the dance floor as music blares from the speakers. It was a huge success that made Caroline pleased and satisfied.
Kol is standing close to his vampire who is standing behind the refresh table full of food and two large glass bowls of fruit punch. Caroline swings her body lazily while a big smile is displayed on her face. The blonde-haired beauty had volunteered to watch over the table for a while. She doesn't mind at all since she gets to talk to her ghost friend.
"They have no talents when it comes to dancing." The wild Original blunted, disappointed.
Caroline tilted her head a little. "What about dance?" she muttered under her breath but loud enough for Kol to hear her.
The mischief Original pokes her cheek. "Someday I'm going to show you what the real dance is like, darling." He promised her with a smirk.
The blonde-haired beauty's cheeks flush. The thought of having one of the Originals who probably wants to dance with her. It kind of makes her feel rather a bit excited and curious about Kol's dancing skills. Will he meet her expectations or more than beyond?
Then, Dana steps onto the stage and smiles at the crowd as she stands in front of the microphone. "Thanks for being here, everybody." She declared happily while Caroline furrowed her eyebrows with confusion, wondering why Dana is on the stage. The crowd stopped dancing as they cheered. "We have a special shout-out tonight."
"What?" Caroline muttered, confused while Kol squints his eyes at Dana suspiciously.
Dana found Elena among the crowd. "This is for Elena. From Klaus." Everyone cheers once again as they applaud.
"Wait, what?" the blonde-haired beauty blurted in surprise as Kol facepalmed.
The song plays that made Kol wants to leap out of the window and bash his head against the pavement. Sometimes his paranoid stupid brother is overdramatic. He covers his face with a loud slightly embarrassed groan. "Stupid brother and his stupid needs for overdramatic theatric. I swear, he invented theatric beside paranoid." He grumbled.
Caroline snapped her head at the words where she heard. "Wait…" she muttered, slowly going over the information in her mind. "I knew that Elijah is your brother but he's not overdramatic…" Kol dropped his hands to his sides and watch her vampire with blank eyes. "…brother… oh my God." Caroline gasps softly as she comprehension everything she knew so far. "Is Klaus your brother, Kol?" she barely opens her mouth as she is in astonished shock.
Kol sighed as he gently taps her jawline. "Correct, darling. That bastard Klaus is my brother, unfortunately." He muttered, not surprised that Caroline would figure it out sooner or later. There were a lot of hints during these last few weeks.
"Oh shit." Caroline paled, now understanding just how dangerous Klaus truly is. And an asshole who daggered Kol, her ghost friend, was trapped in a coffin for nearly a century. Kol snorted by her reaction with a cold amusement glint in his dark eyes. "Oh shit, indeed."
"Hey Care!" the blonde-haired beauty lifted her head up and saw Bonnie wave at her while dragging unwillingly boyfriend behind her. "You look fantastic!" the tiny witch complimented Caroline's costume.
Caroline smiles weakly at Bonnie. "Thank you, Bon. You look great." Bonnie does look beautiful in her hippy costume.
The Bennett witch leaned forward with a cautious face. "Did you see anyone that stood out to you?" she questioned, knowing that Caroline arrived at the dance earlier than the rest of them.
"No. Just that shout out." Caroline replied, slightly anxious. "I honestly don't know what's going on with this whole Klaus situation. But… so far, I think he might not be here. Probably only doing this to cause us freaking out." She explained her theory which makes a lot of sense in Bonnie's opinion.
"You got that right, sweetheart." Kol scowled. "He loves making everything so fucking dramatic. What he is doing right now is probably building bloody suspense." He crossed his arms angrily.
Bonnie bit her bottom lip thoughtfully while Jeremy scanned around carefully. "So, it's possible that Klaus is not here."
Caroline caught a few words from her ghost friend. "Yeah… probably building suspense. Making everyone on edge."
The Bennett witch hummed. "Well, we'll keep staying and watch out for Klaus. If nothing happens at all tonight, then small mercy." Caroline nodded her head, and agreed with her witch best friend. "I'm gonna head to the dance floor—" Bonnie glared playfully at her boyfriend. "—and we're going to dance."
"I-I don't dance…" Jeremy protested weakly.
Bonnie shakes her head. "Nope. You're dancing with me." She dragged her boyfriend to the dance floor which amuses Caroline and Kol.
Caroline is now alone at the table from everyone's eyes. "Kol… is there a chance we're going to meet Klaus tonight?" she asked, curious as her gaze are full of alertness around the room.
Kol frowned, contemplative. He knows a lot about Klaus but not enough deep details since he doesn't spend a lot of time with his older brother. He knew a few of Klaus' favorite tricks then his spine straightens up as his muscles tensed. Body possession. The wild Original recalled how Klaus enjoyed possession of people's bodies back in the sixteenth century.
He wouldn't be surprised if Klaus is using someone's body right now in this room.
"Kol?" Caroline whispered, worried as she is slightly impatience for his answer.
The transparent Original brushes his fingers against the back of her hand. "Maybe." He honestly doesn't know if Klaus is going to make a move tonight or not. So, he settles with that answer instead. Caroline bit her lip as she glances down at her icy-cold hand where Kol touched.
Soon, the song changed to lively that changing the mood in the room. Everyone starts dancing with big smiles on their faces and laughter heard everywhere. Caroline scrutinized the room quietly as her blue-green orbs landed on her witch best friend who is chatting happily with Jeremy by the table. She moved her attention to Stefan and Elena who are dancing with love-struck smiles on their faces as their foreheads touch each other. Shifted her gaze to Damon who is dancing wildly with a small group of girls.
Caroline inwardly snorted and moved her gaze away from her abuser to continue to observe more. She found a certain Quarterback jock, Matt who is dancing in excitement with Amber. They both stare at each other's eyes with such pure love display for the world to see. It made Caroline's heart soften as she nearly cooed at the adorable couple.
"Hey." The blonde-haired beauty snapped her eyes to Dana. "I'll take over."
Caroline thanked her and ambled around the table and through the crowd to the back door. Kol has been watching his vampire silently as he is concerned for her. The wild Original follows her out to the empty corridor.
The blonde-haired beauty sighed softly as she steps forward into the empty hall. "What's wrong, darling?" Kol extends his finger to gently touch her cheek with concern. Caroline hummed as she shivers from the wintery-touch from her ghost friend.
"Just wanna get some fresh air." Caroline replied, as she sauntered to the doors and walked outside of the semi-chill air.
Kol tilted his head confused while watching his vampire make a beeline to one of the outdoor tables. Caroline climbed to the table and sat down and her feet were on the bench. The blonde-haired beauty clasped her hands together on her lap while lifting her gaze upward at the night sky of stars and silver moon.
The prince Original approached her, sat next to her, and stared up at the sky with scrutinizing eyes. Then he shifted his dark gaze back to Caroline. The moonlight shines on her, making her face is radiating and her blue-green eyes are full of twinkles beautifully.
He thought about how he recalled briefly when he and his vampire walked together alone at the night that she left the fifties decade dance early. It was one of those peaceful and quiet atmospheres for them when she was human.
Just like tonight, it's a quiet and comfortable atmosphere for a vampire girl and a transparent ghost, sitting next to each other.
Only this time, Caroline is aware of his existence.
Kol slowly extends the back of his fingers toward her, and brushes against her jawline feather-like as his eyes soften. Caroline's lips twitch to a beautiful small smile. The blonde-haired beauty slightly tilted her head down, yet she didn't move away.
The prince Original's undead heart somehow, once again, skips a beat. Only you would make my dead heart skip a beat, love. He mused, fondly and affectionately.
For an entire time, they both just stay sitting at the table together.
Thankfully, Klaus didn't make a move. So, a small mercy.

Salvatore Boarding House
Later…
Elena has been thinking for a while. She is glad that none of the innocent people got hurt. Super relief that none of her family and friends are harmed by Klaus. The brunette had been worried and scared all night, tense and on edge for Klaus to show up.
Nothing.
It was all a scare tactic, and she doesn't like this. It makes everyone so snippy and on edge. Elena knew the only way for everyone to calm down and figure Klaus out is someone who had a past. She glances over at the door that leads to the basement.
She snuck out from Stefan's bed a few minutes ago and changed out of her sleepwear to her daily clothes. Elena has to do this. It's the only way.
They need more information. More power. And only he can provide those.
The brunette quietly tiptoe down the old stairs and reached the bottom of the floor. She ambled down the corridor to one of the doors and open the cellar.
Ahead of her, inside the cellar room is where Elijah's body lay with a dagger in his chest. Elena step forward until she is next to the motionless Noble Original, lowered herself, and grabbed the handle of the cursed dagger. Elena pulled out the dagger with her almost all her strength and stares down at the body contemplative.
Only he can help them with Klaus' situation.
