Forbes' Residence
Caroline's Bedroom
Next Day…
"Emmanuella and Imogen were best friends for decades." Caroline uttered as she is laying on her stomach against on top of her bed. She is leaning her chin on her palm as her elbow rested on the duvet. Her blue-green orbs shine with curiosity and interest.
Bonnie is sitting on a cushioned stool with her ancestor's journal on her lap. Her olive-green eyes examined the pages with intrigue.
Meanwhile, Kol is sitting on the ground with his back rested against the bed. His head is tipped back against the edge of the bed while his forearms are resting on his prop knees. "Still think doing Bond Channeling ritual is stupid and reckless of them." He murmured, unimpressed.
"Yeah…they've been on the journey for so long. All the places they went, the experiences, and the people they've met. It's insane." The little witch said, amazement while drinking over the words from the journal.
The transparent Original stares at the ceiling with boredom. His vampire and the Bennett witch have been learning and reading over Imogen's journal ever since Bonnie arrived early this morning. Kol was interested at first but then his interest gradually decreasingly and now is bored. He learned a bit more about Bonnie's ancestor than his vampire's ancestor.
Kol much rather learns about Emmanuella. Caroline's ancestor was more mysterious as it needs to be discovered.
The doorbell rang, alerted them and Bonnie turned her head to Caroline with a confused frown. "Are you expecting anyone?"
Caroline shook her head. "No." she pushed herself up with the support of her hands. Kol stood on his feet while the blonde-haired beauty slides off her bed gracefully. "I'll be back." She said, before she walked out of her bedroom.
Once she went to the first floor with Kol followed close behind, Caroline went to the door, extend her hand to the doorknob, and pulled it inward. Her blue-green eyes widen in shock with a soft gasp while Kol's shoulders tensed when he saw him.
Elijah is standing in front of them, hands in his slack pockets and a polite smile on his face. "Hello, Miss Forbes." He greeted her, civilly.

Forbes' Residence
Front Porch
Caroline stared dumbfoundedly at Elijah as she subconsciously gripped her hand around the doorknob. She couldn't believe she is seeing the Noble Original standing outside of her door. Kol quickly observed his older brother with a calculating glaze. "Where the bloody hell have you been, Elijah?" he muttered, knowing that his brother was daggered but still.
"Miss Forbes." The Noble Original repeated, not unkindly.
Caroline snapped out of it and leaned her shoulder against the doorframe with incredulity and amazed. "Uhh…s-sorry. I just—" she shakes her head, processing that she is seeing the real Elijah, the Noble Original, the older brother of Kol. "—I send you so many messages and you never replied… and then, when I heard that you were daggered, and I didn't… think I would see you again." She answered, awe and relief.
Elijah took his hands out, and slightly adjusted his blazer while a cold glint in his gaze. "Ah… yes. I do apologize for that. I was rather indisposed since Miss Gilbert and her friends believed that daggered me was a wise choice."
Kol made a wincing face. "Bloody hell." He knew how much Elijah strongly despised betrayers.
"I—I have honestly no idea they were going to do that to you." Caroline said with a guilty frown on her face. Elijah's cocked his puzzled eyebrow at her, and silently wondered why the baby vampire looks so remorseful. He knew she wasn't involved; she is innocent. "Kol told me that you are very honorable and always keep your words."
The Noble Original's dark eyes lit up the same as his younger brother. "Kol is still with you?" he won't deny but he was afraid that he might be too late if Kol disappeared. It's a huge relief for him to know that Kol is still around.
"Of course. I can't exactly leave my vampire, not that I want to." Kol murmured as he crossed his arms, standing close behind the blonde-haired beauty.
Caroline nodded her head in response with a smile.
Before Elijah could open his mouth, a familiar shocked voice was heard behind Caroline inside the house. "What the hell is going on?" Caroline released her hand from the doorknob, door swing opens wide to reveal Bonnie whose guard is up. Her olive-green orbs harden with caution when she stared at the Noble Original. "Why are you here? What are you doing here?" the tiny witch steps forward with a protective posture when she is standing close to her best friend.
The transparent Original hummed with approval while Elijah observed her quietly with a thoughtful glint in his eyes.
"Wait, Bonnie…" the blonde-haired beauty placed her hand on her best friend's shoulder. "…please, calm down. He won't harm us." She assures the Bennett witch.
Bonnie eyes Elijah who nods his head, confirmed by Caroline's words. "Miss Forbes' correct. I will not harm you or her, Miss Bennett." The tiny witch gives a quick glance at Caroline who smiles assuredly at her.
"We have quite a few things to discusses, Miss Forbes, Miss Bennett." Elijah steps back and wave his hand over at the outdoor furniture. "Let's all take a seat, shall we?"
Caroline grabbed Bonnie's hand not unkindly and drag her outside on the porch. "Come on, Bon." The Bennett witch frowned but obliged while eyeing Noble Original warily.
Kol could see how Bonnie's cautious around his brother amuses him. Even Elijah is amused as well.
After a moment, the best friends are sitting on the bench while Elijah sits on the outdoor cushion chair. The prince Original sits on the are of the bench next to Caroline.
"How did you get undagger?" Bonnie asked with narrowed suspiciously eyes.
Elijah's lips twitch as he crossed his leg with the air of nobility around him. "Miss Gilbert released me from it." Bonnie and Caroline exchange surprise and bemuse glances while Kol leaned his arm on the back of the bench behind Caroline with neutral-interest. "I do believe that Klaus is here."
"How?" Bonnie and Caroline simultaneously questioned in astonishment while Kol silently clicked his tongue with knowing eyes.
"According to Miss Gilbert, Klaus has not revealed himself but did used scare tactic and compelled a human to deliver messages to her. I assumed that he is doing one of his favorite tricks—body possession." Elijah explained, slightly amused when he noticed how comedic and speechless the girls are. "She also mentioned that Miss Bennett received a hundred of dead witches' power." He examined the tiny witch with curiosity.
Bonnie lifted her chin at him with a determined glint in her olive-green orbs. "Dr. Martin told me." She answered, blankly. Caroline's hand sneaks in to hold her best friend's hand, their friendship bracelets shimmer softly at the closeness between the talismans. "And I know you want to kill Klaus but to do that, it has to be after Elena's death." She hisses angrily.
Kol raises his eyebrow at the witch's boldness while Caroline's lips pressed together with hesitant and uncertain in her blue-green eyes.
"Yes. Miss Gilbert is aware of that." Elijah coldly said as his eyes darken at the tiny witch. Not appreciated by her tone. "Miss Bennett…" Bonnie frowns cautiously at him in response. "…do you know the Sun and the Moon curse?"
Bonnie raises her eyebrow at him questioningly while the wild Original narrowed his eyes at his brother suspiciously. "It's an Aztec curse on both species that keeps werewolves slaves to the moon and vampires bound by the sun." she answered, guarded and wondered.
Elijah's lips twitch to a humorous smirk. "The curse of the Sun and the Moon is fake."
"What?!"
"I bloody knew it!"
Caroline and Bonnie gap at the Noble Original who looks amused while Kol muttered under his breath as he knew that kind of curse is all false. "W-what do you mean it's fake?" the blonde-haired beauty asked, astonished and shocked.
"Klaus and I faked the sun and moon curse dating back over a thousand years. However, there is one curse. The real one's much worse." Elijah elucidated the best friends while Kol slightly leaned forward with enquiring even though he already knew the answer. "It's a curse placed on Klaus and he has been trying to break it for the last thousand years."
"Huh… to think that you and that bastard came up with fabrication. Making supernatural work for it. Hate to say it but that was bloody genius." The transparent ghost reluctantly approved the plan.
Caroline opens her mouth with curious sparkles in her eyes. "What is his curse?" Kol already knew of it as he silently wondered if Elijah is going to explain it to them or not.
The Noble Original examined the blonde-haired beauty for a moment. He knew that Caroline is special, he just knew. Then shifted his gaze to Bonnie who was still wary of him. He admired the Bennett witch to remain alert, unlike a certain doppelganger who is foolish and naïve. Something tells him that these two young ladies are best to have allies instead of enemies.
He always trusts his instinct. "…my family was quite close, and we were all humans. My sibling and I—used to be." Kol's eyes widen in flabbergasted by his older brother's willingness to share their past. "My father was a wealthy land owner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children. Our origin as vampires is a very long story, as we are the Original family, and from us, all vampires were created." His eyes stared slightly dazed off. "However, Klaus and my father did not get on too well. When we became vampires, we discovered the truth. Klaus was not my father's son. My mother had been unfaithful many years before. This was her darkest secret. Klaus is from a different bloodline."
Bonnie didn't expect this shocking information while Caroline is engrossed by the history that involved her ghost friend's family's past. "Of course, when my father discovered this, he hunted down, and he killed my mother's lover and his entire family. Not realizing, of course, that he was igniting a war between species that rages until this day." Elijah's eyes sharpen and turn his attention to them, coolly.
"A war between the species…" the Bennett witch glanced over at her vampire best friend with a thoughtful glint in her eyes.
Caroline nods her head when she also exchanges glances with her witch best friend. "…the vampires—"
"—and the werewolves." Bonnie finished it, grimly.
Elijah nods his head, confirming they are corrected. "Yes. Klaus' biological father was from a werewolf's bloodline." He shared a bit of information and was curious if these two ladies figure it out themselves.
"Klaus is an Original vampire…" the blonde-haired beauty muttered to Bonnie, contemplatively.
The Bennett witch's olive-green orbs twinkle with thoughtful. "…and his bloodline won't change, because it's biologically in his body. Which makes him some kind of—" she halted, attempting to find a word.
"Hybrid, darling." Kol uttered to his vampire's ears.
Caroline tilted her head. "Hybrid?" she questioned, gaining Elijah's attention. He knew that his ghost brother told her the answer.
"That means he's both vampire and werewolf." Bonnie whispered in horror shocked.
The Noble Original is quite pleased with how intelligent they are. "A hybrid would be deadlier than any werewolf or vampire. Nature would not stand for such an imbalance of power. Therefore the witches, the servants of nature, to it that my brother's werewolf side would become dormant." He explained, calmly.
Caroline frowns deeply as she feels empathetic and sad for Klaus. To have his werewolf forced to be bound for a thousand years is terrible. Having denied him the right to have his own bloodline makes her feel angry. She would want to break the curse and be what she is meant to be. After all, when she discovered that she is an Sáõ. Caroline would do anything to learn of her own species and her ancestors who were Sáõ. If a witch or something curses her that she can't be what she is meant to be in her blood—
The blonde-haired beauty would go through every trial and every possibility to break off the curse so she can be an Sáõ. Even though, she still doesn't understand what an Sáõ means, she just knew that she can't be without it.
"If the witches believed that it was imbalance and must bound Klaus' werewolf side, then we shouldn't break the curse." Bonnie voiced out, strongly.
Kol and Elijah stare at her blankly while Caroline frowns disapproving at her. "Bonnie, no." she shakes her head. Bonnie turned her disbelieved gaze at her, she opens her mouth to protest but Caroline wouldn't let her. "What right do those witches have? So what if Klaus is a hybrid? It's in his blood and maybe he is meant to be a hybrid. If it's truly imbalanced and upset the whole nature or whatever supernatural world—" Caroline wave her free hand around, uncaringly what she thought about the supernatural community much to the Original brothers' amusement. "—then they should've stopped Klaus by now. They could've got rid of the moonstone or something. But it didn't. Maybe he is always meant to break his curse." She explicated as she believes in her theory.
Bonnie was hesitant as she considered her best friend's words. "…even if that is true… but Elena… we can't let her die." She doesn't want to lose another important person in her life. She lost her Grams not too long ago.
Caroline softens with understanding. "I get it, Bonnie. I do… I don't want her to die either…" then she turned her gaze to Elijah who has been watching them quietly. "…is there a way for Elena to return from the dead?" she suggested, hopeful.
The Bennett witch straightens her spine with slight hesitant hope while Kol silently drummed his fingers against the top of the bench. "There are tons of spells for that, sweetheart. Although, most of them are dark spells. If that doppelgänger has one parent alive, they have exchanged life energy. Parent die and doppelgänger live again." Kol muttered, recalling that time when he watched a mother who willingly exchanged her life to bring her dead son back to life during the late eighteen century by a witch's spell.
"Do you know?" Bonnie asked, curious.
Elijah lightly nods his head. "Yes, Miss Bennett. I had witches made elixir. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation however, it's five hundred years old." He tilted his head thoughtfully at the tiny witch. "Will you do the honor to examine the potion, Miss Bennett?"
Bonnie's eyes widen in surprise at his request. She wasn't expecting that from an Original vampire. "E-excuse me?" she stammered, slightly flustered. Caroline gently squeezes her best friend's hand while Kol wondered if the Bennett witch has been requested by others since it's very formal to do when it comes to witches for their magic. Unfortunately, not many follow such traditional etiquette manner these days.
Plus, Kol knew no one would follow such formal etiquette to witches since it stopped nearly seven centuries ago. However, Elijah and Kol are the only ones who bother with using the etiquettes when it comes to witches. Klaus, sometimes does it but mostly like using threatening methods instead. Finn would probably do it, but that poor bloke is still in the coffin over nine centuries.
"I ask, if it is alright with you to examine the potion?" Elijah repeatedly, patiently as he carefully studied the tiny witch who is obviously shocked by his request. "Of course, I will pay for it, rest assured." He added, civilly.
The Bennett witch gap at him silently which Elijah doesn't understand if he says wrong things to the young witch.
Caroline glanced at the witch and the Noble Original with slight amusement and thoughtful. Her blue-green eyes filled with tenderness, happiness, and relief because someone finally ask her best friend instead of using her. A beautiful smile appeared on the blonde-haired beauty which caught Kol's immediate attention. "When you said you will pay…how do you mean by that?" Caroline questioned, wondered.
"Whatever Miss Bennett's desire, I will grant for it. If it's cash, favor, or object." Elijah clarified as his dark eyes filled with contemplative.
The blonde-haired beauty hummed with interest then turned her gaze to stunned Bonnie. "Hey, Bon Bon… what do you think?"
Bonnie snapped out of it and shakes her head. "O-oh, umm…" she honestly didn't know what to say as she is feeling a bit uncomfortable.
After a brief awkward silence that Kol swore he could cut it with a dull knife. Elijah opens his mouth. "If you like, we can discuss the payment later, Miss Bennett?" he offered which Bonnie looks relief and nod her head in response. "Very well." The Original vampire stood up on his feet and closed a couple of buttons of his blazer. "If you both please excuse me, I have some business to tend to."
The girls stood up while watching the Noble Original tip his head at the Bennett witch. "I will call you tomorrow for the examination potion, will that be alright, Miss Bennett?" Bonnie nodded her head silently, surprised. Then his dark gaze to Caroline with mystery glint in his eyes. "Miss Forbes." He tipped his head at her as well. Kol frowned deeply as he realizes that his brother didn't talk to his vampire about him.
Then again, Bonnie is with them so it's not wise to say anything about his existence, yet. He watches his brother striding down the stairs of the porch and path to the sidewalk. Caroline perked up when she caught the soft whispers from Elijah's words in her ears. "I promise we will talk about Kol soon, Miss Forbes. Please let him know that I have not forgotten about him."
Her blue-green orbs immediately dart to Elijah who walked around to the driver's side of his fancy car that was parked outside of the sidewalk. Their eyes met with acknowledgment, and Caroline tipped her head, confirming that she got his message.
Elijah climbed onto the driver's seat, shut the door, and soon the sound of the engine was heard. They watch the Noble Original take off in his car.
Bonnie and Caroline dropped their hand gently as they both exchanged looks. "That's…weird." The Bennett witch admitted.
"Well, he is rather known as Noble Original and I'm not surprised that he's a gentleman." Caroline said, with a friendly smile. "It's nice of him to ask you instead of demanding you, you know?" Kol mumbled, agreeing with his vampire as he knew his brother is very formal and respectful to witches.
The Bennett witch shifted her gaze to the street where the car took off, contemplatively. "Yeah. It's something…" she trails off, unsure how to feel about this since this is an Original vampire, after all.
"Come on, let's go inside." Caroline clasps her hands together and pointed at her door. "It's already past lunch time and I'm hungry." She chirped, happily.
Bonnie groaned. "Oh God, I agreed with you. I'm starving!" she walks forward to the door. "Hope you got that spicy chip." She opened the door and step inside.
"Of course, I do! It's in the same cabinet as before." Caroline replied, amused as she knew Bonnie loves that spicy chip. She walked across the porch and then lowered her voice. "Elijah delivered me a message before he left—" Kol perked up as he steps closer to her with interest. "—he hasn't forgotten about you and that we will talk soon together."
The transparent ghost didn't realize how tense his body was when it relaxes as he heard his vampire's words. He is relieved that his brother didn't forget about him. Kol couldn't wait to return to his body soon. Wait for me, darling. I will make sure you will be a pleasant surprise. The wild Original silently promised with an excited smirk on his face. He gently brushes his fingers against Caroline's cheek who shivers as a smile appeared on her face. Kol's smirks widen while he followed his vampire inside the house, content and eager.

Bennett's Residence
Bonnie's Bedroom
Night…
The petite witch fixes her hair into a low ponytail as she prepares herself for the night. She sauntered her way toward her bed, climbed over it, and slipped underneath her sheet and duvet. Just as Bonnie is about to snuggle in her pillow, her cell phone chimed to alert her that she has a message.
Bonnie pushed by using her elbow up, leaned over to grab her phone from the nightstand, and blinked at the unknown number. She pressed in and was surprised.
—UNKNOWN
Miss Bennett, this is Elijah Mikaelson. I hope you do not mind I got your numbers from Miss Forbes. I would like to give you a ride to Salvatore's boarding house tomorrow morning, may I?
The Bennet witch blinked at it for a stun moment. She did not expect to receive a text message from a thousand-year-old Original vampire. Even in text, he is formal. Subconsciously, a small amused smile appeared on her face.
She lightly drums her index finger against her phone for a pondering moment then finally replied. Yes, it would be nice to have a ride even though she has her own car. Plus, it'll save gas.
Not even a minute later after she replied, another text message from him.
—UNKNOWN
I will pick you up at eight in the morning. Will that be sufficient for you?
Bonnie replied that it was acceptable for her. Another quick text
—UNKNOWN
Excellent. Goodnight, Miss Bennett.
The tiny witch stared at the text with puzzling and curiosity then she replied bid goodnight to him and turn the screen off. She placed her phone back on the nightstand and dropped her head on the pillow. She turned to lay on her back and stared at her blank boring ceiling with a thinking face.
"Elijah Mikaelson… what a strange vampire."
