Mystic Falls
Cemetery
Few Hours Later…
Kol thought about the information he learned from Bonnie who elucidated everything that happened during the recent event. He has been listening to the petite witch explaining the details to Caroline since the blonde-haired beauty always needs details enlightenment which is very useful.
The transparent Original wasn't surprised that Elijah broke his words since he did promise he'll kill Klaus. However, what slightly surprise him is that Bonnie doesn't think his noble brother was a betrayer to her. The only deal with Bonnie was that she wants Elena to return alive as a human and he kept his words to her. Elijah didn't keep his words to the Salvatore brothers, so he betrayed them instead.
Kol won't deny that he finds it gleeful and satisfied that his noble brother betrayed the Salvatore brothers because he really despises that soon-to-be-dead vampire. Although, he is disappointed that a doppelgänger is alive after she was sacrificed. All because of her father who was willingly exchange his life for hers.
How disappointing.
Currently, he is standing next to his darling vampire with a boredom face. His dark eyes glance around disinterested in the cemetery.
Caroline and Bonnie are standing in the respectable distance, watching Elena, Jeremy, and Alaric mourning over John and Jenna. The Salvatore brothers are a few distances away, observing them quietly. The doppelgänger kneels down and places two roses on a grave plot gently with teary eyes. She glances at the name on the tombstone of her aunt and her biological father.
After a moment, she stood up and approaches her parent's graves. While Jeremy closed his eyes as he lowered his head down, silently grieving over his dead family members. When Elena reached the tombstone, she bends down and places two roses on her parents' graves.
The blonde-haired beauty and the Bennett witch exchange sympathy and sad glance for their best friend who is now openly crying.
Alaric steps forward, and drops the rose on his deceased girlfriend's grave plot. He stares at the name on the stone with a sorrowful glint in his eyes. He turned away, unable to look anymore.
Jeremy sniffed, sauntered his way to his sister, and comfort her by wrapping his arms around her. Elena leaned against him; her head rested on his shoulder as they both stared at their family graves.
"I feel so terrible for them." Caroline barely utters words to Bonnie and Kol who is the only one who can hear. Bonnie loops her arm with Caroline's arm, entwining their arms together while sadly watching them.
Kol shoves his hands in his pocket with a nonchalant sigh. He doesn't feel anything toward the death, funeral, or anything that relates to mourning. All creatures die as it was part of life. The last time Kol truly mourned over death was with his younger brother and her.
The prince Original did feel a bit disappointed and somewhat sad when it comes to certain people, he knew who had passed away in his past. Certain people who used to be his friends, but he moved on since time will never stop moving forward.
His brief reminiscence muse was interrupted when he noticed the blonde-haired beauty turned her head to Bonnie with a puzzling face. "I didn't want to say anything but now I have to." She muttered to the petite witch.
Bonnie raises her questioning eyebrow at her. "You've been on your phone quite a lot since this early morning…and I can hear your phone buzzing in your purse." Caroline said with curiosity as her blue-green eyes darted at the small black purse in Bonnie's hand. Kol leans forward with slight interest.
"…it's…" the Bennett witch hesitant for a moment, skim over the area then glance at her vampire best friend. "I'll tell you later." She promised, quietly.
Caroline raises her eyebrow at her suspiciously and is interested but nods her head. "Okay." She lets it go for now.
"I wonder who has been texting you, little witch…" the transparent Original muttered, casually curious.

Couple of Days Later…
"I still can't believe you have been texting Elijah." Caroline shakes her head in amazed while she is currently spreading mayo on the bread with a butter knife. She is standing in front of the island counter with a bunch of foods and ingredients scattered around, preparing for a lunch meal.
"Me too, darling. I didn't even think that noble brother of mine knew what texting was." Kol muttered as he is leaning his side against the island counter, still disbelieved. He still can't get over the fact that his brother, Elijah, who is a Noble Stag of Original is actually texting Bonnie Bennett the witch.
On the table, where Bonnie is sitting with her hands cup around the coffee mug. She rolls her eyes slightly fond of her vampire best friend. "So, you've repeated it over hundred times for the past two days." She sarcastically said, lifting her coffee mug to her lips.
The blonde-haired beauty pointed at her witch best friend with a butter knife. A playful stern displayed on her face. "Hey… I know how you get so cautious and judgy when it comes to vampires. I'm just surprised that you are rather flexible with an Original." Caroline pointed it out.
"She's not the only one." Kol commented, raising his eyebrow at his vampire with an amused glint in his dark eyes.
Caroline lowered the butter knife down, used a fork to tug a piece of turkey meat from the transparent plastic box, and put it on the bread. "Anything new from Mr. Noble?" she playfully asked with amuse smirk.
Bonnie glares exasperatedly at Caroline who has obvious mirth dancing in her blue-green orbs while Kol smirks widely. When the blonde-haired vampire "accidentally" saw the ID name on Bonnie's phone and immediately knew it was from Elijah.
Needlessly say, Caroline and Kol decided to tease her. More like Caroline teases her witch best friend on Kol's behalf. Since the stubborn mischief vampire had been poking her nonstop, wanted her to tease Bonnie.
"He is keeping an eye on Klaus. Make sure he's away from us and innocent people." Bonnie grumbled, knowing that she has to answer otherwise, Caroline will find a way to get answers.
"So he's still a mutt playing fetch in the woods? Good to know." Kol muttered, dryly. Couldn't help himself but imagine his noble brother acting as the dog owner, throwing sticks in the woods for Klaus as a dog-version catching the sticks with his muzzle. He snorted with entertainment, he would love to see that in person if that were actually happening.
The blonde-haired beauty hummed while cutting the sandwiches in half with a knife. She put the finished sandwiches into the sandwich bags. "Is that all?" she questioned, wanting to know what else. Since, she did email Elijah about Kol's situation. However, the Noble Original only send her one sentence in response a couple of days ago. 'We will discuss this after I take care of my personal business as soon as possible.' She easily remembered word to word and had already informed her ghost friend about it.
Let's just say, Kol was not happy about that since he doesn't want to wait. However, with no choice, but to force himself to be patient. For Caroline, he will wait a little bit longer.
"Nope." Bonnie shakes her head before she finished her coffee and set the empty mug down on the table. "But he'll text me when Klaus returns back to his human form." She added, calmly while watching Caroline putting all sandwiches and snacks in the picnic basket. "Is it a really good idea to do this?"
Caroline nodded her head. "Of course! Elena asked me if there was a way for her and Jeremy to get out of the house as a distraction. A break from the supernatural drama. Fortunately, there is a movie in the Square presents Gone with the Wind which I am looking forward to it!" she squealed with excitement.
Kol groan loudly as he leaned heavily against the island counter. He has already seen that movie countless times and he was forced to memorize all the lines from the scenes.
It was torture for him.
"I am impressed that you are not tired of that movie." The Bennett witch commented, amazed as she stood up from the chair and picked up the empty mug.
"That movie is bloody positively dull and boring." Kol whined, even though he knew that films is one of his vampire's favorites to watch. Caroline's eyebrow twitched with semi-irked when she caught the transparent Original's words but remain smiling at Bonnie.
Caroline just shrugs lazily. "It is one of the best movies. Can't help but adore it." She stated, not ashamed of her love of films. Kol sigh loudly yet there's a fondness in his dark eyes when he glances at his vampire. As much as I don't particularly like that movie, I wouldn't mind watching it a hundred more times just for you. Kol mused with a small soft smile.
"You'll be with us, right?" the blonde-haired beauty asked with curiosity as she closed the lid of the picnic basket.
Bonnie set the empty mug in the sink, turned around, and leaned her back against the counter. "Of course. I just need to check on my dad first before I join you guys."
"Great!" Caroline smiles happily at her best friend. She grabbed her picnic basket from the island counter and tilted her head at the general doorway that leads out of the kitchen area. "Ready to leave?" Bonnie nodded her head, and the two best friends walks out together while Kol follows quietly behind.

Bennett's Residence
Moment Later…
Bonnie strode through the path that led up to the stairs of the front porch. She halted when her olive-green orbs spotted an unfamiliar vampire. Her shoulders are tense as she is instantly on her guard. "You…" she muttered. Her senses are literally screaming at her, warning her not to mess with this dangerous vampire.
Her hands drop to her sides, preparing herself to use her hundred of dead witches' power to fight against this dark and dangerous vampire.
Harper is sitting on the stairs, elbows rested on his knees while his chin is on top of his folded fingers. His eyes narrowed at the tiny witch who is eyeing him with suspicion and was highly cautious. Harper approved of her action. "Miss Bennett." The soldier vampire greeted the petite witch, politely.
"Who the hell are you." Bonnie demanded with warily glares at the soldier vampire. She doesn't know why, but her witchy instinct is balking at this vampire. This creature didn't even bother to conceal his powerful aura around him. Elijah is a powerful and dangerous Original, yet he camouflages his dark aura for sensitive beings who can tolerate him and his conceal aura.
However, this soldier vampire didn't bother with it.
Harper slightly tilted his head at the witch with a calculating look. Then he slowly unfolded his fingers to the edge of the stairs on his sides and pushed himself up to stand tall. Bonnie step back with a warning glint in her olive-green eyes. "Step closer and I will use my magic. I'm not afraid."
The soldier vampire hummed softly in response, continue to examine the witch for a moment then he tipped his head. "Harper Rolfe…" then he stares straightly at Bonnie's eyes fearlessly. "…I am loyal to Lady Caroline the Sáõ."
Bonnie's eyes widen in shock and astonished at the soldier vampire. He said the name that she can't utter from her lips. "…you…" she hesitant, unsure. "…why are you here? What do you want?" then she narrowed her eyes with alertness glint. "You're not going to harm me, are you?"
"No." Harper respond, casually folding his hand behind his back. "I am here to discuss your duty in Lady Caroline's life, Miss Bennett." He went straight to the point.
Bonnie frowned at him in pondering. The soldier vampire continues. "Your duty is to stay by her side and protect her. You cannot fail her." He gravely said with stern eyes.
"I won't fail her." The Bennett witch retorted, offended that this vampire dares to think she's going to let anything harm her best friend.
Harper glares at her. "You didn't save her from being captured two nights ago." Bonnie flinch back, guilty sparks in her eyes. "I trust you enough to know that I can leave because it is very important that Lady Caroline has someone with her. Whether from the shadow or by her side. Does not matter how. As long as she is safe and well-protected."
Bonnie's hands slowly curled into tight fists as her teeth gritted. She cautiously watched Harper descend the stairs to the bottom. "We cannot have another Bennett fail the Sáõ."
"Imogen didn't fail Emmanuella!" the petite witch snapped, defending her ancestor Imogen. She read Imogen's journal and knew that her ancestor would never harm her best friend. Imogen truly adored and loved Emmanuella like a sister. Bonnie knew for a fact Imogen didn't fail Emmanuella.
The soldier vampire stared at the Bennett witch for a heartbeat then he shakes his head. "I am not speaking of Miss Imogen."
Bonnie frowned deeply, confused and perplexed. "Huh?" is there another Bennett ancestor she didn't know? Did Caroline's ancestor find another Bennett witch after Imogen? Imogen's journal didn't mention anything about it at all.
Harper silently watches the petite witch who is struggling with puzzling and confusion. He inwardly sighed as he lifted his gaze upward at the cloudy sky with a brief of grief lit in his eyes. "I failed Emmanuella." He whispered, sadly and remorsefully.
"…what?" Bonnie gap at the soldier vampire, incredulity.

Meanwhile…
Caroline already spread the blanket on the grassy ground, with a picnic basket in the middle of it as she is sitting on the corner of the blanket. She is having a silly argument on the phone, pretending. As she is having real bickering with Kol who is sitting next to her.
The blonde-haired beauty kept lecturing her ghost friend about how amazing and the brilliant movie was. While Kol remarks back, repeatedly, so his vampire's got his words. The transparent Original silently vows to never say anything negative about Caroline's favorite films again. The blonde-haired beauty is very protective of her movies.
They've been at it ever since Caroline drove all the way from her house to the town square. The prince Original wants to shut her up with a kiss, unfortunately, he is unable to do that. So, he went for the next best thing.
He childishly pokes her forehead.
Caroline made a deadpan face as she held back her shudder by the icy-cold touch. "So immature." She grumbles.
Kol raises his eyebrow at her. "Oh, I'm immature? Fine, I'll just change my method then." The blonde-haired beauty narrowed her eyes suspiciously when she caught the word "method".
The ghost Original lifted his fingers toward his vampire, brushing against her cheekbone to her jawline. Then deliberately lowered to her neck which made Caroline shiver with soft gasps. "Oh…" a mischievous smirk displayed on Kol's face.
He likes how his touches receive positive reactions from his darling vampire. It made his ego rather grow, especially since he's only a cursed ghost.
Kol cannot wait when he returns to his body.
Caroline shifted back, attempting to avoid the mischief vampire's touch as she turned her head with alert. "I can hear Elena and Jeremy coming…" she muttered, slightly disappointed with a weak smile.
"Of course." Kol rolls his eyes, exasperatedly as he dropped his hand to his lap. He watches his vampire put her phone away in her purse and beamed up at Elena as Jeremy approaches them.
"Hey guys!" Caroline waves at them, friendly while Kol clicked his tongue disinterested. "Who's hungry?" she waves her hand over the picnic basket that she prepares the lunch meal for them.
Elena kneels down while Jeremy frowns. "Are we really doing this?" he asked, skeptical.
"Yes, we are really doing this. We are going to take a page from Scarlett." Caroline beckoned Jeremy to join her and Elena with a kind smile. "We made it through the war." Kol snorted dryly. "I know you guys went through hell—"
"No, darling. You went through hell more than them."
"—and learned that Elijah betrayed the Salvatore brothers and they are doubtlessly pissed off—"
"I like that it pisses the soon-to-be-dead vampire off. I enjoy that."
"—God knows what Klaus is doing right now—"
"Probably that paranoid bastard is still licking his ball. Poor 'Lijha. Had to watch that shit."
"—so basically, it's like Atlanta has burned—"
"Wait, I missed that? Damn that arsehole, making me miss exciting events."
"—And yet, in spite of everything, we persevere." Caroline raised her fist in the air with a big toothy smile as her blue-green eyes sparkles brightly full of positivity. Kol's dark eyes soften with adore and fondness for her.
Jeremy's lips twitch with slight gratitude by her cheerful smile. Then he glances at his sister who looks at him with an assurance face. The young Gilbert sigh yet there's a gentle smile on his face. "All right." He finally joins them as he sat across from Elena. "What are we eating?"
The blonde-haired beauty opened the lid of the basket that she had prepared for them to eat with an eager smile displayed fully on her face. 'I wonder when will Bonnie come?' she mused, waiting for her witch best friend to arrive.

Bennett's Residence
Later…
Bonnie is sitting on the outdoor stairs as she is dazed off in the yard. The tiny witch is all alone after Harper told her shocking information a few minutes ago. She just couldn't stop thinking about what he has told her. Bonnie didn't realize just how much of important her duty was in Caroline's life.
Who would've thought that being Sáõ could be so dangerous for the supernatural world. Bonnie wondered if her vampire best friend realizes just how truly special, she is. Not only that, who would've thought she would meet her ancestor.
A brief flashback appeared in her mind.
"…what?" Bonnie stared at the soldier vampire astonished. "Th-that's impossible…" she muttered, shaking her head as she denies it. No way is she related to someone who is a vampire.
Harper lowered his gaze to her with a solemn face. "Is it but the truth, Miss Bennett. Miss Imogen was my ancestor—" he paused then change his word. "—our ancestor."
The Bennett witch doesn't know what to say about that shocking information. "…you're a vampire."
"Yes." Harper blunted, calmly. He has no time to explain his dark history to his descendant since it is a very long and old tale. Right now, Caroline is more important, and he wants to make sure that Bonnie won't fail the S áõ.
Bonnie carefully examined the soldier vampire with puzzle, interest, and curiosity. Standing in front of her at a respectable distance, is her ancestor. She never heard anything about male ancestors though, it's always women. Her Grams told her a bit about them. "…were you a warlock?" she couldn't help but ask.
Harper inwardly sigh. He could understand why she wants to know. After all, it was very unusual to meet a Bennett male. Bennett Coven always birthed female babies for centuries. Harper was one of very rare Bennett males. "…I was." He admitted.
Not as powerful as the female Bennett witches, but had an impressive amount of magic until he was forcibly changed into a soldier vampire in the middle of the war. He could see her olive-green eyes full of questions. "Please, Miss Bennett… I do not have time to answer nor reminisce about my past with you. I am only here to inform you of your duty." Harper stated, firmly as he wants her to focus on this topic.
He is not here for family bonding with his descendant. He wants to make sure that Caroline is well-protect and hidden from the supernatural world.
Bonnie struggles herself as she wants to know about her ancestors, her blood, and her magic. This vampire—this dangerous creature that her witch instincts are warning her… he is her ancestor. However, she just knew that Harper isn't interested to discuss about him or his past.
She pushed her questions back into her mind. She will ask him next time, for now, Harper looks very intense and serious that he wishes to talk to her about Caroline and her duty.
Bonnie's muse was snapped out of it when she heard a familiar voice call out her name. "Bonnie?"
Her olive-green orb lifted up and saw Stefan walking toward her with a confused face. "Stefan?" she frowns at him, wondering what the young Salvatore is doing at her place.
"I need a favor, please." Stefan asked with a pleading face.
The petite witch narrowed her eyes. "What's going on?"
"It's about Damon… he needs help and…" Stefan gritted his teeth with a determined glint in his eyes. "…I need you to ask Emily Bennett for me, please."
Bonnie stares at him then inwardly sighed resignation and tiredly. '…so much for distraction from the supernatural drama.'

Later…
"Bonnie!" Caroline beamed with excitement smile when she saw Bonnie and Stefan approaching them. She lifted both of her hands, and made grabby hands toward her witch best friend. "Bon bon! My bonny bon!"
"Caroline!" Bonnie jokingly said with an amused smile appeared on her face. "Care care! My carry care!" she accepted her best friend's hands playfully when she reached her. They both break into giggles while others watch them with amusement.
Kol's lips twitch with contentment, watching his vampire who is very happy with Bonnie. He has noticed how Caroline acts differently between Bonnie and Elena.
Caroline treats Elena as a very good best friend. Obviously, they care about each other and would do anything for each other. Although, the doppelgänger spends her time with Salvatore more than with her friends and family.
However, Caroline and Bonnie got a lot closer to each other ever since they found out about their connection to each other. They've been spending a lot of time with each other, even Bonnie is starting to spend the night at Caroline's place more often.
Kol silently watches Bonnie sit between Jeremy and Caroline while animatedly chatting with each other. Stefan took Elena somewhere for a private talk, not that Kol cares.
A moment later, the movie started to play on the large screen projector. Kol mentally prepares himself for another torture of the film once again. Caroline, Bonnie, and Jeremy quiet themselves as their gaze on the screen.
The transparent Original briefly wondered about where the young Salvatore and the annoying doppelgänger then forget it.
Not even ten minutes into the film, Jeremy shifted and fumbled in his pocket to pull out his phone. He frowns in puzzling at the caller's ID. "Alaric, hey." He answered, softly as he doesn't want to disturb the movie.
Caroline tilted her head slightly, listening over the conversation shamelessly. Kol smirks approval at his vampire while Bonnie looks at her boyfriend with curiosity.
"Tell me you're with Elena." Caroline frowned with confusion.
"She went to go see Damon. I thought that's where you were?" Jeremy answered while staring at the ground.
"No, he just escaped. I think he's looking for her, and the cops are after him. Listen, he's in bad shape, Jeremy, so if you find her, get her somewhere safe, okay? I'm on my way."
Alaric hang up and Jeremy lowered his phone with concern. "Something's wrong with Damon." He whispered to his girlfriend and Caroline.
"Why am I not surprised." Kol deadpan.
Caroline's eyebrow furrowed with worried. "Bon-bon…" she glances at Bonnie with a silent look. Bonnie nods her head understandingly; they both need to leave and search for Elena.
Kol groans loudly, knowing what their glances meant. "Do we have to look for that boring dull martyr doppelgänger?" he whined, a bit petulant. Why can't his vampire just ignore that self-centered bitch for once?
"If Damon is off the rails, there is nothing you can do to stop him." Bonnie informed Jeremy with concerned yet stern voice. "Let us take care of it." She will make sure Jeremy won't lose his sister.
Jeremy lightly scoffed, then shoved himself up from the ground. Bonnie and Caroline quickly stood up and followed the young Gilbert out of the courtyard. "Jeremy!" Bonnie hisses, warning her boyfriend not to be reckless and impulsive.
"You keep doing this." Jeremy snapped as he whirled around, glaring at her. Caroline stopped as she stands behind few feet away from Bonnie and Jeremy. Kol stands next to his vampire with slight intrigue of the possible fight between the human and the witch. "You left me behind before, and guess what, Jenna still died." Bonnie flinched back in shock and was hurt by Jeremy's harsh tone.
"Please tell me they're going to break up?" Kol voiced out, hopeful. After all, Bonnie can do better than the boring baby Gilbert. Plus, most humans can't handle being in a relationship with a witch or a warlock.
Kol has seen a lot of disastrous happened in relationships when it comes to humans with supernatural beings throughout his centuries of life. Even his experience as a warlock during his human time was dreadful and unpleasant.
He briefly recalled how he snuck off into the woods with a pretty lass he used to fancy. How he was so nervous and terrified yet so excited to show her his magic. He wanted her to accept the whole him since magic was part of his life. When he did show her his magic—
She was beyond frightened by him and his magic. The girl ran off before she called him a monster and broke his heart. That was when he realizes he was meant to be alone. No one will ever accept him and his magic nor love him for him.
However, that changed when he lost his magic as he was forced to become an Original vampire.
Kol silently shook his dark unpleasant memory away and focus on the present.
"—now I'm going to find my sister." Jeremy lifted his chin with a stubborn face. "You go ahead, and you try to stop me." He dared his girlfriend and then walks away, leaving Bonnie dumbfounded.
The transparent Original whistled. "See that, little witch? Disrespectful but harsh truth." He could somewhat understand if a brother wants to find and protect a sibling.
Kol did have a little experience with that when it comes to wanting to protect his siblings.
Just a little.
Most of the time, he wants to dagger them and be free for a while.
"Bonnie…" Caroline gently placed her hand on the tiny witch's shoulder with a concerned frown. "…hey…"
Bonnie shakes her head and turns her gaze to her vampire best friend. "I just want to protect him, Care. He's human." She weakly gives out her excuse.
"Another reason why you should break up with him." Kol muttered, disinterestedly as he crossed his arms.
The blonde-haired beauty sighed with an understanding smile. "I get it. I wouldn't want our human friends to get involved and could get hurt since they are a bit fragile." She said, much to Bonnie's relief. "However, Elena is Jeremy's sister. She is all he had left so… it's understandable why he wants to search for her right now."
Bonnie's shoulders slumped. "…alright. I get it." She leaned against her vampire best friend who comforted her quietly.
Suddenly, a violent shiver spread down Kol's spine which alarms him. He snapped his head up with sharp calculating eyes around at their surroundings.
Something's wrong.
He doesn't know how but all he can think is—
Elijah.

.
Moment Later…
The phone rang, and Bonnie instantly answers as she stopped. "The Grill?" she turned around, changing the direction along with Caroline and Kol following closely.
Bonnie gasp loudly as Caroline flinch while Kol snapped his head at them with shock when they heard a loud gunshot. "Oh my God!" they hurriedly rush toward the location of the Mystic Grill.
It took them less than a minute to arrived inside the building and Bonnie shouted distressed when she saw her boyfriend on the ground, bleeding. "Jeremy!"
The witch and the vampire run toward the young Gilbert, kneeling down with a loud bang as their knees slammed against the ground. Kol watches them blankly.
"Mom?" Caroline stares at her mother with confusion and lost. Sheriff Forbes is trying to calm Jeremy with slight panic in her eyes. "Mom, what did you do?" she whisper-shouted at her mother.
Bonnie whimpers over her dying boyfriend.
"I was aiming for Damon." Sheriff Forbes defend herself weakly and lifted her head to stare at Caroline who looks at her with disappointment.
The blonde-haired beauty glance down and saw the ring on Jeremy. "He still has his ring." She informed her witch best friend, to attempt to be positive. However, Kol grimaced while Bonnie shakes her head wretchedly.
"She's human. The ring won't work on him." Bonnie cries, tears spilling over her cheeks then she turned to Caroline with pleading eyes. "Caroline…"
Caroline glanced at her mother for a brief moment then decided that saving Jeremy is more important than keeping a secret. "I got it." Her fangs emerge, bit into her wrist semi-violently, and put it in Jeremy's mouth.
Sheriff Forbes stared at her daughter's vampiric face with stunned. She knew Caroline is a vampire but to see it up close and in person…
"Come on, Jeremy. Just drink." Caroline muttered, trying to save the young Gilbert. Kol sighed, as he was long used to seeing the difference when it comes to dying and dead bodies. "Go on, Jeremy. Drink."
The Sheriff of the Mystic Falls eyeing at Caroline cautiously. "What are you doing?"
"I'm helping him." The blonde-haired beauty sharply replies to her mother. She was not happy. Bonnie is crying. Jeremy is dying. And this entire situation of supernatural drama is starting to get very overwhelming for her. "Drink… please, please, please." She begged.
"Darling… it's too late." The transparent Original muttered, he steps closer to his vampire and brushes the back of his finger against her cheek. Knowing this human's death upset his vampire. Caroline is too kind.
Jeremy lays motionless. His eyes are closed, and his chest is still. No movement nor any hint of being alive.
Caroline slowly releases her bloody wrist from Jeremy's lips and controls her sob when she realizes she didn't save the baby Gilbert. She closed her, slightly leaning closer to the icy-cold touch for consolation. Bonnie weeps over her dead boyfriend. Sheriff Forbes' eyes were teary and full of guilt.
"Bonnie, what's going on?" a voice uttered as Alaric rushes over with horrified shock. His eyes stay on the dead young boy. "Oh my God…"
The petite witch shakes her head. "I know what I need to do." With resolve glint in her olive-green orbs which made Kol eyeing at her suspiciously. She turned her head up to Alaric. "I need you to grab him, T-take him with us."
Kol steps back warily as he carefully examines the witch with calculating in his dark eyes. He has a bad feeling about this.
After Bonnie left with Alaric and Jeremy.
Caroline, Kol, and Sheriff Forbes are the only ones left in the empty Mystic Grill. The mother sat on the chair, palms covering her face as her elbows rested on her knees.
The blonde-haired beauty paced back and forth, waiting nervously for the phone call since Bonnie promises to call her later.
Kol couldn't help but feel very apprehensive. Whatever Bonnie is planning, it's not good.
Caroline's breath hitches as she halted. She dropped her knees to the ground loudly which startled the mother and transparent Original.
"Caroline!"
"Darling!"
They rush to Caroline who dugs her fingers into her hair while gritting her teeth painfully. "Oh my God—" she whimpered as she closed her eyes tightly, feeling the terrible agony hammering inside of her head, repeatedly. Kol's eyes searched over his vampire frantic until he saw her talisman bracelet glowing.
He knew instantly that Bonnie Bennett is using magic and absorbing too painfully fast from Caroline. "Shite! Bullocks! Fuck!" Kol curses under his breath, knowing that his vampire is not used to having a witch taking her magic energy.
Blood dripped from her nose as Caroline stifled her scream of agony while Sheriff Forbes watched her daughter in pain with horror in her teary eyes.
A heartbeat or two later, Caroline dropped her hands onto the ground, panting from overwhelmed and exhausted. Kol quickly touches her cheek with worried. Caroline shivers in response. "I—I'm…ok—ay." She struggles to answer.
The transparent Original silently promise that he will find a way to teach that amateur witch before she could potentially kill Caroline!
"C-caroline…" the blonde-haired beauty slowly lifted her head, tired face turned to her mother. Sheriff Forbes examined her with red teary eyes for a moment. "…please… please tell me that you are my Caroline. My daughter…" she begged, wanting to believe that she still has her daughter.
Caroline's blue-green orbs glistened. "…I'm s—till yo—ur litt—le sun—shine." Sheriff Forbes closed her eyes with a relief sob and leaned forward to wrap her arms around her.
Kol watches his vampire lean toward her mother, and return her with a weak hug. The mischief Original knew this will bring joy to Caroline.
The phone chime interrupted the mother and daughter's moment. Caroline took out her phone from her jean jacket's pockets, unlocked it, and saw the message from Bonnie. "Jer—emy is al—ive." she croaked, still weak and exhausted.
Kol's undead heart fall when he noticed he can't do anything to comfort her nor give her his ancient blood. He is useless to help her once again. He never would have thought that Bennett witch would absorb so much magic energy from Caroline… especially to the point that it brings extreme pain to a baby vampire.
Sheriff Forbes sighed with relief. "Oh, thank God…" she continues hugging her daughter.
Unaware, outside of the Mystic Grill. Harper is watching from the shadow. He lifted his eyes upward to the sky along with a large silver moon and stars. "Emmanuella… it seems that Miss Bennett has a long way to go before she steps up into an important role." He whispered, softly.
Harper wishes he could continue protecting his Lady from any harm however, this is between the Bennett witch and the Sáõ. He can't interfere when it comes to them. The soldier vampire can protect and rescue Caroline from any danger.
However, he can't get involved with them.
After all, it's their fate.
He hopes that this time, Bonnie Bennett won't fail Caroline.

Later…
Bonnie is so, so relieved that she brought her boyfriend back from the dead. She strides the path to ascend the stairs and onto the porch. She paused when she saw a package box sitting on the matt front of the door.
A perplexing frown appeared on her face. Her olive-green eyes glance around warily in the empty night area. She turned her head back at the package, step forward and bend down.
She grabbed the package box and saw her name in elegant handwriting. Bonnie stood up, quickly unlock the door and step inside. After she shut the door behind her with a lock, ambled her way toward the kitchen area and placed the box down.
The Bennett witch grabbed a knife, cut the tapes off, and open the cardboard box. She put the knife down next to the box, and took out a silver metal tin box the size of her hand. Bonnie also noticed a folded letter inside the box.
She gently placed the tin box down, grabbed the letter, and unfolded it.
Miss Bennett,
I instructed the mail postman to deliver this to your doorstep at a certain time and date. If you are reading this letter and received the object. I am afraid to say that Niklaus might have already daggered me. He did promise to reunite me with the rest of our family. However, after centuries with him, I know a thing or two of his game and wordplay.
I do want to say thank you for your trust. You let me go. I know you would stop me and my brother, even willing to kill us with your powers. Even if it means you will die.
Yet you did not.
I thank you for that, Miss Bennett.
I am aware that you do not want any payment, however, please allow me to grant you this. I do not normally give away nor tolerate anyone touch what is mine.
However, I trust you and I know you won't use it against us. They are very old and powerful tools to have. Be very wise and careful.
Also, I advise not to inform anyone of what they are.
Let's keep this little secret between us.
I hope someday, I will see you again.
~ E. M.
Bonnie blinked at the letter and re-read it a few times flabbergasted. Her olive-green orbs shifted to the tin box with interest and curiosity. She gently put the letter down, grabbed the tin box, and open the lid.
Inside the tin box, there are three small vitals of blood.
The Bennett witch cautiously took one of the small vitals and stare at it them wonderstruck. She could feel the old magic from it. She quickly darts her gaze at the letter and re-read the part that gives her a hint. A hint that she just knew what these vitals are…
Elijah just gifted her his ancient blood.
