Forbes' Residence
Living-Room
Liz's eyebrows furrowed with perplexity while checking her cell. She has been waiting for her daughter to return her call but nothing. Sheriff Forbes set her phone on the coffee table and glanced around her living room thoughtfully.
Until her blue eyes landed on the bookshelf that was pushed against the wall next to the windows. She shoves herself up from her seat, strode toward the shelf, and grabbed a white with the pale pink patterns photo album. A warm smile appeared on her face when she recalled how she did this album ever since she learned that she was pregnant eighteen years ago.
Liz ambled back to the couch, sat down, and put the album on her lap. She gently rubs the cover with nostalgia and fondness. The mother gently opened the cover to reveal a photo of a pregnancy test that displayed the positive sign.
She recalled how she was pleasantly shocked to learn that she was pregnant. Liz didn't know how that was possible because she was infertile after the terrible accident that caused the problem for her ovaries in the womb when she was fifteen.
Liz long resigned herself to the idea that she would never be a mother.
The mother was wrong when she learned that she was pregnant.
It was a miracle.
A proud smile appeared on her face when she turned the page of the album, displaying the ultrasound baby photos. From weeks to months.
Sheriff Forbes continues turning the pages of her miracle baby. She briefly recalled when she learned that her baby was a girl. Liz was so excited to have a daughter.
Her blue eyes softened with maternal love, fondness, and warmth as she studied the photos of Caroline from birth to growing up. Enjoying taking a trip down memory lane of her beautiful daughter.
Her baby girl is very special.
Liz leaned back against the soft cushion while waiting for her daughter to return home. She can't wait to spend more time making more memories with Caroline.

Meanwhile…
The blonde-haired beauty stared with astonished surprise at her father who gazes at her emotionlessly. Kol's shoulders were tense with anxiety and apprehension. His dark gaze filled with guard and distrust. "I…I don't u-understand…" she stuttered, uncomprehending.
Bill just studied her with cold empty eyes. The glare from his face causes a terror chill down Caroline's spine. "…p-please talk to me. Why… why am I here?" she pleaded with her father to answer. "W-why are you here?" her voice filled with fear.
Kol gritted his teeth angrily while glowering at the man quietly.
An intense atmosphere was in the air for a moment until Bill turned around, walked out of the cell, and shut the metal door.
"What…" Caroline struggles with the restraints weakly, barely hisses in pain from the vervains that are burning her wrists. Her blue-green eyes started teary. "D-daddy?" she called out shaky, confused, and hurt glimmers in her eyes.
The transparent Original quickly walked around to face his vampire, he bends down while watching her lost and confused face. "Darling…" he reached his fingers toward her face, gently feather-like icy-cold touches her cheeks.
Caroline leaned forward as her eyes were lowered. "K-kol…" she whispered, agitation. "…I'm scared." She wants her ghost friend to comfort her, hug her and get her out of here.
"I'm here." The Prince Original reiterated a couple of times. The blonde-haired beauty bit her bottom lip uneasily. Kol continues brushing his fingers on her skin lightly as Caroline shivers a few times but kept accepting the ice touch.
She is so grateful that she is not alone in this scary cell.
Then noises startled Caroline and Kol, causing them to look around cautiously. The transparent Original silently curses when he sees the smoke enter the cell through vents. Caroline whimpers softly when she smells the toxic herb. "V-vervain." She coughed harshly, forced to breathe in vervain in her lungs.
"Fuck!" Kol's scowls furiously as he is aware of how much his vampire is being subject to so many vervains in less than twenty-four hours. Caroline still has some vervains in her blood along with metal cuffed by covered with vervains. "Don't fucking breathe. Hold your breath! Caroline, hold your breath!"
With so much amount of vervains Caroline is suffering right now, she is undoubtedly too weak to fight and escape from this cell on her own.
Caroline barely got Kol's words that she obeyed, trying not to breathe. The wild Original made an approval noise from the back of his throat, glad that she listened to him without any question.
The sound of a high-pitch screech alerted the blonde-haired beauty and the Prince Original who turned their attention to the door. The metal door opened, and Bill stepped inside coolly and shut it behind him.
Bill stepped forward as Kol stood on his feet, standing protectively in front of his vampire. "Don't you dare." He snarled, crossly.
Unfortunately, Kol is just a ghost that is useless against a human.
"I'm so sorry—" Bill reached forward through Kol's transparent body. "Damn it!" the wild Original forced himself to step aside and glares indignantly at the man. "—this happened to you." Bill muttered, a hint of sorrow in his eyes, when he pushed Caroline's chin up gently.
Caroline's lips quiver as her teary eyes stares at her father. "…dad…" she whispered, pleading with him to let her go as she weakly move her wrists against the vervains cuffs. "…please…"
"I need an answer." The man released her chin as his eyes became empty. "How do you walk in the sunlight?"
"How about you let her go bastard!" Kol violently swipes his hand through the man's head, which is completely futile.
The blonde-haired beauty eyeing Bill with nervous pondering. "…i-is that all you want to know?" she coughed, feeling a small burn in her lungs from the vervain smoke.
"That's all I want to know." Her father smiles warmly yet his eyes are cold.
Kol snapped. "Don't tell him!" he is well aware that this man won't let Caroline go. "Do not tell him!" he warned her harshly.
Caroline bit her inner cheek, heed of Kol's warning of words. She wants to leave and be in her own comfortable bed. With Kol by her side and enjoys having daily chat with him.
Bill is her father. She loves him. Trust him and sometimes ask for his advice. A man who always smiles. Who always has nice fatherly love in his eyes every time he looks at her.
Yet this man has empty eyes.
Caroline rather trusts Kol who is always by her side for months—almost eleven months, nearly a year. The transparent Original never fails her whenever it comes to her safety.
Feeling terrible that she listens to the cursed Original over her own father. 'I'm sorry, dad…' she shifted her guilty gaze away from her father in response.
"Good." Kol muttered; relief yet still have a high guard up.
Bill's faux-smile fell. "I see." He turned around and ambled his way toward a table that was pushed against the corner of the room near the metal door. "How unfortunate. The method I had in thought would be so quick and useful." He said, blankly.
Caroline lifted her gaze over at her father, tense and uncomfortable while Kol narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
The man grabbed the object from the old table in his hands. He examined it for a brief moment. "Your ancestors built this place. People figured it was for unruly prisoners at the jailhouse, but…" he turned halfway, and glanced at scared Caroline, uncaringly. "…they had something else in mind. Vervain in the ventilation system to keep their subject weak. Reinforced steel containment chair with a douse of vervain cuffs…and another thing is a bit surprise."
"This motherfucker is a vampire hunter." Kol blunted, dumbfounded as he realized that Caroline Forbes, his darling girl, who is an Sáõ vampire had ancestors who are vampire hunters. "Well fuck."
Bill strode toward Caroline confidently which made Kol stiff with guarded eyes. "The Gilbert had advantageous tools which are beneficially for the Founders." He displays the object in his hands.
The wild Original paled with nauseate and horror when he saw it while Caroline attempted to hold her sob when as she saw it.
On Bill's hands, it's a crude cage muzzle that is made for a vampire.
Kol doesn't know how the fuck do these humans got their hands on this dark item. He would never think he seen this disgusting piece of dark item again. 'Dark Muzzle' was made by a member from The Brotherhood of the Five centuries ago. The Brotherhood of the Five made many horrendous dark objects that are meant to torture vampires. While Klaus was under a disastrous curse of hallucination. Kol and Elijah searched and destroyed every dark item that was made by The Brotherhood of the Five.
The wild Original even double-checked to make sure none of the curse dark items are left out.
And yet…somehow, he fucking missed one dark item.
Thankfully, this item won't be triggered since this human isn't a member of The Brotherhood of the Five. If Bill is a member, then his darling vampire will be experiencing the indescribable inhumanly torture.
Kol would know because his little sister experienced it when they forced to put curse muzzled on her. The transparent Original truly thought it was destroyed because Rebekah told him.
…unless she lied and hid it.
If that's true, then the question was, why the bloody hell would she kept it safe in the first place?!
The Dark Muzzle caused Rebekah to avoid everyone, nonstop flinch being near her own brothers, and refused to drink blood for months! It had taken her nearly seventy years to finally move on yet left with trauma mental scarring.
Kol briefly recalled during the Pirate era when Rebekah had a breakdown full-on panicked attack when she saw a muzzle on a dog. Elijah and Klaus took their sister away to comfort her while he destroyed the muzzle, let the dog run free and drained the former dog's owner.
He quickly shoves that piece of memory back into his mind when Bill grabbed Caroline's chin and started putting the Dark Muzzle on her face. Kol's shaky hands curled into tight fists as furious glint in his dark eyes.
The blonde-haired beauty attempt to fight but she is too weak because of the vervains. After a minute or two, the man step back with cold satisfaction.
The leather straps are tightened around Caroline's head and the metal cage covered her mouth. Her teary blue-green eyes filled with fear, hurt, distress, hint of betrayal. "P-please let me go." She held back her sob.
The transparent Original hated to see her trapped like she's a filthy uncontrollable monster. He moved his hatred glares at the vampire hunter. His vampire isn't seeing this human as a vampire hunter, she is seeing her father.
Her father will hurt her.
And it's going to break her heart.

Meanwhile…
Bonnie's knee bounced up and down quickly out of anxious habit while her olive-green eyes stares at her cell phone. She has been calling Caroline's phone nonstop, however, no reply from her. The Bennett witch bit her lower lip, nervously.
The petite witch has a bad feeling.
It has to do with her vampire best friend.
She thoughtfully checks her cell phone, went to the contact app, and tap on her brunette best friend's numbers. Bonnie pressed her cell on her ear, impatiently.
Elena answered with a puzzled. "Bonnie?"
"Hey, have you heard anything from Caroline?" Bonnie's spine straightened with hope glinting in her eyes.
"No, not since like two days ago." The Bennett witch's shoulders slumped with disappointment and worry. "Um, sorry Bonnie. But I have to go. Kind of in the middle of something with Damon right now."
Bonnie frowned deeply. "More important than not hearing from Caroline for two days?" she asked, with incredulity.
The brunette made a noise through the phone. "I'm sure she's fine, Bon. Care is probably with some guy or hanging out with her mom. Look, I really have to go. This is important."
"…okay." The petite witch decided to focus on Caroline than Elena. "Whatever. Talk to you whenever." She hung up, exasperated. Her olive-green orbs trailed down at the talisman bracelet for a moment, she could feel the magic from Caroline's energy, but it was somewhat weak.
'Care… wait for me. I'll be in Mystic Falls in a few hours.' Bonnie mused, concerned for her vampire best friend.

Later…
Bill opened the metal door and stepped out for a moment while Kol attempted to think of a way to use ghostly energy to release the restraints from Caroline. However, the man returns quickly while hiding something behind him.
"W-what are you doing?" Caroline barely opens her mouth, uneasy while staring at her father.
He halted, unhurriedly moving his hand as Kol's body stiff with caution, stepping closer to his vampire. Bill revealed a blood bag, held it up close to Caroline, and waited.
"Fucking areshole." The wild Original snapped as Caroline's blue-green orbs shifted to dark crimson-red and black veins popped around her eyes. Small fangs emerged from her teeth. Kol knew that his vampire was thirsty, especially with the amount of vervains that causes her too weak and sick.
Bill pulled the blood bag close to his chest contemplatively. "Blood controls you, sweetheart. This is how I'm going to fix you."
Kol scowled deeply as he glared hatefully at Bill, understanding what this man was going to do. "There is no such thing as cure vampirism, bastard!" he retorted furiously.
"What?" the blonde-haired beauty stared at her father skeptical and confused.
Bill sauntered to the corner, grabbed a duffle bag that was under the table, and set it on top of the surface. He took out a latex rubber with liquid inside that was tied up.
Without a warning—
The vampire hunter threw the object at the ground next to Caroline and it exploded with sharp 'pop'. Liquid splattered on Caroline's right side as a painful shrill released from her lips.
The transparent Original cursed loudly in horror and enraged when he realized the human had just thrown a vervain bomb.
Hot red blisters on Caroline's bare skin while her body trembling as tears slipped down her cheeks. "D-dad... p-please…" she begs weakly.
However, without a word from the man as he grabbed another vervain bomb and threw it at the ground in front of Caroline.
Vervain bomb exploded; toxic liquids mostly cover her legs as Caroline cries out in agony while trying to struggle against the metal vervains cuff. "FUCKING ENOUGH!" Kol shouted, a mixture of anger and fear. Feeling completely useless to help his vampire from being tortured by her own father.
He silently vows that he will kill this motherfucker hunter.
Another vervain bomb was thrown.
Exploded.
Shrieks of agony.
Over and over.
Ten minutes.
Bill threw ten vervain bombs each minute.
"Please! Please stop! Stop! Please!" Caroline weeps loudly, begging her father to stop hurling the vervain bombs at her. Most of her arms and legs are covered with hot red blisters but they are leisurely healing themselves.
Bill stepped forward quietly, held up the blood bag, and watched the black veins appear under her eyes. He shakes his head with dissatisfaction. "It seems that you have a long way to go, sweetheart." Caroline cries while Kol glower at the man. "Unless you tell me how you walk in the sunlight?"
The blonde-haired beauty curled her shoulders forward as her head dropped. Tears spilled over her cheeks and metal cage in silence.
"I will stop this method if you answer my question." The hunter calmly said.
Kol narrowed his eyes furiously and distrustful at Bill. He honestly cannot think or form any words. Caroline's shoulders were shaking as her fingernail dug into the edge of metal arms. The only sound was her crying of pain and betrayal.
After a brief moment of silence. Bill sighed disappointedly. "I expect you to answer my question, Caroline." His tone was hard-hearted.
The blonde-haired beauty flinched but remain quiet.
The vampire hunter shakes his head with displeased as he returns to the table and searches through the duffle bag. "You leave me with no choice." He muttered, emotionless.
Bill put down the blood bag on the table, walking toward Caroline while unscrewing the lid from the silver square bottle. He instantly let out the vervain liquid on her face.
Almost immediately, a bloodcurdling scream came out of her lips as she jerked her head to her side, attempting to block from the toxic vervain. Her mind is lost in absolute fear. All she ever wants is to escape but she is trapped.
Kol's body didn't know how to react, it just stood frozen, unable to tear his eyes away from his vampire. Caroline is being tortured by her own father. The vicious rage that shines from his eyes showed that deep down, there is fear and torment beneath it. The anger is like a hot fire that sizzled inside of his undead heart that even the rain won't be able to extinguish it.
The unwanted painful memories flash through his mind. When his father abused him because he wanted to learn magic. When his father spat out revolted and ugly words at him. When he had corporal punishment with a leather whip that left scars on his back because his father busted him doing magic. When he was forced to spend in the woods alone for a week because he wasn't manly enough. When his father never failed to remind him how he was a failed son who prefers magic over a sword. When he pretends that his father did not abuse him out of cruelty all because he was a mage. No one knew. Not even his own mother, nor his siblings. One of the main reasons why he was the black sheep of the family.
The only one who ever knew his darkest deep ugly secret was Ayana Bennett. She healed him. Helped him with his magic. And always be there for him. Provided a safe place for him whenever he felt danger from his father. Ayana had encouraged him to continue his magic and embraced it because it was part of him.
And he lost it because of his parents. They took his magic. It was gone—forever.
It made his father joyous when he learned that Kol is no longer a mage. However, Kol never touches a sword. Not once. Instead, he became a monster with bloodlust. A vicious creature of the night that he gladly embraced out of revenge and pettiness.
His parents loathed it. Despised so strongly to the point that his mother turned his father into a dangerous Original Vampire Hunter who hunted all vampires.
Kol knew that his father only wanted to hunt down the Originals. However, what they didn't know was that his father wanted Kol more. All because Kol was the only one who knew the ugly truth about his father.
The unwanted dreadful memories forced their way through his mind. Kol tried to push it back, but it was so brutal that he couldn't control it. Not when he is watching the father who is torturing a daughter. All the old familiar anguish and intimate terror deeply rooted inside him messed up his emotions.
His chin trembled, his eyes welled up with uncontrollable hot tears, and his vision was blurry making it difficult for him to see clearly while his knees were shaking.
The Prince Original wanted to close his eyes and look away, but he was paralyzed on the spot.
Stuck with the sound of wailing and suffering echo throughout the cells.

Harper strides down the path while observing his surroundings. His hand reached to his pendant and grasped it. Pondering glint in his eyes.
When he figured out that Lady Caroline was in trouble. The soldier vampire ran as fast as possible to return the Mystic Falls. He has been looking at places such as the Grill, the school, the police department, and now Town Square.
So far, there is no Emmanuella's descendant.
A heavy concerned frown appeared on his face. Harper will have to continue searching for other possible places. 'Her house.' He mused, using his stealthy speed in public with oblivion humans.

Meanwhile…
Her body was wracked with an onslaught of sobs and tears. The only sound left in the cell as Bill already left, and promised to return later. The transparent Original lowered his unstable knees dropped down in front of his vampire. He held back his uninvited tears, forced to push his unpleasant memories back and focus on Caroline. Kol took a deep breath and tried to relax. It was hard for him to control his overwhelming emotions but for Caroline, he will do it.
"Caroline…" he extends his fingers toward her and lightly touches her bare knees. A sudden icy blast caused the blonde-haired beauty shudder violently. "…darling, I'm here. Right here." Kol muttered, gently stroking a feather-light touch on Caroline's knees.
The blonde-haired beauty heavily lifted her head, red and swollen eyes of never-ending tears. Completely disheveled. The muzzle made it the worst image for Kol. He won't ever forget the horrific of his vampire's heartbroken and horror face. It's permanently stuck in his mind.
He has a feeling that he's going to have a nightmare for a long time.
Her trembling lips open. "I-I… I wan—na go home." She pleaded with her ghost friend to free her and take her away from this tormented place.
The Prince Original mourns with hopelessness. He desperately wanted to rescue her right this second. Sadly, he couldn't.
Kol doesn't understand why his ghost energy won't do anything. He feels worthless and incapable of protecting Caroline. Do I even have the right to court her when I fucking can't protect her? He mused, dejected as his teeth gritted with a bitter glint in his dark eyes. "I wish I can do something…but… I… I can't." he reluctantly admitted, miserably.
"P-please Kol… th-this muzzle—" Caroline sniffled, wanting to have this cruel cage muzzle off. The wild Original's undead heart sank with distress. He carefully scrutinizes the Dark Muzzle for a brief moment. Kol wishes he could tear that disgusting muzzle off and destroy it.
Suddenly, terror washed over Caroline, raising the fine hairs on the back of her neck. The fear rises behind her blue-green eyes. Kol was stiff by her reaction, and he silently cursed under his breath.
The metal door opens wide. The transparent Original quickly stumbled to his feet and glowered hatefully at the vampire hunter.
Bill returned with a blank face. He just stared at her for a moment.
Then he strode forward, unaware of the violent invisible kicks from an angry wild Original, and observed Caroline. Her breath quickened and she used every painful muscle in her body to stifle a whimper.
The man scanned her exterior and then landed on her rings. He leaned forward, grabbed her hand, and took a daylight ring and a vervain mood ring off. "W-wait! No, no, nononono!" Caroline shouted with fright while Kol attempted to push the human away.
Bill tosses the rings on the floor uncaringly. He sauntered his way around her to the chain at the back of the room. "D-dad? W-what are you doing?" Kol's eyes widened in horror when he saw the chain connected to the ring above the window.
"I got an interesting source not too long ago. Let's see if the ring was the responsible tool that grant you the ability to walk in the sunlight." Bill said, neutrally interested. He reached the end of the chain, curled his fingers around it, and pulled.
"CAROLINE!"
It is rotating slats on the window above behind, revealing unforgiving bathe in sunlight on Caroline. Fangs emerge as her blue-green orbs shifted crimson-red dramatically along with inky-black veins popping under her eyes. She couldn't scream. She could only open her mouth to find that even words had deserted her.

Later…
The petite witch stood in front of the entrance door with slight impatience. She had just recently arrived from Oregon, to the airport from miles away to drive all the way to the tiny touch and went straight to Caroline's house. "Come on, come on…" Bonnie muttered, fidgeting her feet while tapping her fingers against her thighs.
Eventually, the door opened to reveal Liz who looked surprised to see Bonnie. "Oh, hey Bonnie." She greeted the Bennett witch warmly.
Disappointment appeared in Bonnie's eyes, but a tight smile was displayed on her face. "Hey, Sheriff. Umm…" she peeks over Liz's shoulders with fragile hope. "Is Caroline here?" her hope died when Mrs. Forbes shakes her head in response. "I've been calling Care for a while, but she never replies."
Sheriff Forbes crossed her arms with furrowed eyebrows. "I left her a few voice messages as well." She said, worried about her baby daughter. "When was the last time you heard from her?"
"Two days ago." Bonnie confessed, apprehensive.
Liz dropped her arms, grabbed her cell from the back pocket, and glanced at it. "I'm going to call a few people. Someone should have seen her."
Bonnie nodded her head. "Can I go to Care's room? I need some of her personal stuff. I can use the locater spell." She offers. Liz accepted it as she steps aside, allowing the petite witch as she walks inside the house.
The Bennett witch quickly power-climbs up the stairs, down the corridor, and into Caroline's bedroom. Bonnie went straight to the nightstand, open the drawer, and grabbed a folded map and pocketknife.
Caroline has kindly kept a few things in her bedroom, just in case Bonnie wants to use spells. Plus, Kol recommended it.
The Bennett witch mentally sends grateful to her vampire best friend and reluctantly to her strict asshole of a mentor. She unfolded the map, placed it over the bed, and observed the objects to pick. She decided to use the jewelry and a photo of Caroline and Bonnie who dressed up as witches last year. The petite witch opens her left palm, and uses the pocket knife to cut and draw blood on the map.
A quiet chant of spell slipped through her lips as her eyes closed.
The blood started dancing on the map for a minute until it stopped. Bonnie opened her eyes and stared at the location. A perplexed frown displayed on her face. "What?"
There is no answer to exact where Caroline's location is.
Something is blocking her.
Bonnie tried again, with her eyes open this time as she chanted the spell under her breath. She watched the blood make an effort to move but it was useless. "Damn it!" She recalled from the notes she studied from grimoires that wherever Caroline is, magic is cloaking her. Prevent Bonnie from knowing the true location.
Across from her, the open curtains of windows. She saw a familiar figure who was standing on the sidewalk across the street. Bonnie gasps softly when she recognizes him. "Harper…"

Meanwhile…
"Please stop! No! P-please! Stop!" the blonde-haired beauty finally found words while tears raced down her cheeks as the smoke came out of her burning body by the sunlight.
Bill dropped his hand from the chain, closing the slats and the cellar went dim. Caroline whines quietly in agony as burns marks on her skin. "P-please… I don't hu-hurt any-one. I swear, dad. I n-never hurt t-them." she begged wretchedly.
It hurts to watch for Kol who leaned against the dark bricks heavily while holding the back of his head. He can't do anything.
The vampire hunter ambled around to the table, grabbed his duffle bag, and paused in front of the metal door. "I'll be back tomorrow." He left the dim cell.
Silence appeared in the dark dank place.
"Kol… please help me."
The Prince Original slid down until his backside hit the ground. His bottom lip quivered and his shoulders dropped in resignation followed by his fist meeting the cement. "I—" his breath hitched, unable to offer any comfort words to her. He lowered his head disheartened.
How is he going to help her?

Bonnie's Bedroom
Two Days Later…
Bonnie wipes her weary face with her hands with a heavy sigh. Currently, she is sitting on her bed with a bunch of open grimoires around her. She has been looking nonstop for any spell to find her vampire best friend.
She briefly recalled how she met Harper a couple of days ago. Informed him that Caroline was missing. Harper promised to continue searching for the blonde-haired beauty in Mystic Falls. At least, Caroline is in Mystic Falls, so a small miracle.
Not only that, but Liz is also beyond worried and uses any sources and favors to find her missing daughter. The mother wanted to file a missing person case, but she can't since she doesn't want to cause drama and chaos. Especially since her daughter is a vampire so it's too risky.
Bonnie silently cursed her brunette best friend who is somewhere out of the state with the older Salvatore. It would be at least helpful to have a vampire to look for Caroline. Fortunately for her, Harper is here in Mystic Falls so that is good enough for her.
The Bennett witch runs through her long messy hair tiredly. She has not met anyone nor informed her friends that she has returned from her vacation and that she left early. Bonnie is not interested in having any social interaction.
She only wants to find her vampire best friend.
"Ugh!" Bonnie shoved one of the grimoires that failed her with frustration. If only it was so easy to find a spell to find Caroline!
Her olive-green orbs scanned around with a bitter scowl on her face until they landed on a metal tin box. It lies innocently on top of her vanity.
Suddenly, a new idea popped into her head.
What if…
Bonnie knew that Kol Mikaelson was cursed, bound to Caroline's soul. If Caroline is blocked because of magic. However, what if the magic won't block her from knowing Kol's location? After all, Kol doesn't physically exist, but his soul does. 'Could this be a loophole?' she recalled that Kol—who told Caroline as she delivered messages—that every spell always has a loophole.
Maybe this loophole is exactly what she needs.
The petite witch fumbled out of her bed as her knee nearly hit the nightstand but managed to avoid it. Bonnie stumbled over to the metal tin box, opened it, and carefully grabbed a vial of Elijah's blood. She inwardly prays for this to work.
Bonnie grabbed a Mystic Falls map from the ground, laid it over her bed, and grimoires. She uncorks the lid from the vial, poured wisely with the amount of ancient blood onto the map, and corked it. A familiar chant of spell slipped from her lips while staring at the blood as she curled her fingers around the glass vial with half of the blood.
The blood swims leisurely for a few seconds until it halted.
A relief gasp was heard from her. "Oh thank God!" Bonnie's heart beats fast against her chest with satisfaction and happy to finally have the real location where her vampire best friend is.
A beautiful smile appeared on her face as she glanced down at the old blood. "Thank you, Elijah." She whispered, grateful for his valuable and thoughtful gift that saved Caroline.
Bonnie shakes her head and grabs her cell from the nightstand to call a soldier vampire. Right now, they have an Sáõ vampire to save.

Some Time Later…
A blood bag nearly shoves at her face. Inky-black veins appeared under her eyes. A whimpering from her trembling lips. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Caroline kept apologizing, couldn't control her thirst for blood.
She is so thirsty.
Bill sighed loudly as he shook his head. "I'm conditioning you to associate vampirism with pain, in time, the thought of human blood will make you repress your vampire instincts completely." He lectured her, coolly.
Kol scoffed incredulity while he coldly glared with fuming at the vampire hunter. "That's bloody bullshit." He never heard of a vampire refusing the blood. Even Stefan Salvatore would slip up and drink human blood no matter how much he consumes animal blood. The transparent Original's chest rumbles with growls every time he sees the Dark Muzzle still attached to his vampire's face.
"T-that's impossible." Caroline whispered, shaking her head. "You can't c-change who I am." She shifted her sad blue-green orbs at her father.
Bill's eyes harden. "Yes, I can."
The blonde-haired beauty just shakes her head weakly. It's truly impossible for her kind to not drink blood.
"You remember this feeling?" Kol clenched his teeth tightly together as his chest rumbled, feeling the beast inside of him, demanding to rip this piece of shit apart.
"No! No! No! Nononononono! No!" Caroline screeched after Bill pulled the chain once again, to let the sunlight bathe her. Her skin burns with hot red blisters.
Suddenly, a metal door slammed open wide—
Bill jerked back as he dropped his hand, as it covered the windows. While Kol jumped on his feet with pure relief displayed on his face and Caroline weeps as she hardly lifts her head painfully.
Harper instantly reached Caroline in his superior vamp-speed. The hunter cautiously backed away with an alert glint in his eyes.
"Oh my God, Care." A familiar feminine voice heard; Bill turned his gaze to Bonnie who stood at the doorway with an aghast face. Her hands held onto the frame of the door, balancing her weak legs as she observed her vampire best friend's appearance. Slowly, she moved her gaze to Bill with disbelief. "What did you do to her? Your own daughter?" she questioned disgusted by this man's action.
The soldier vampire grabbed the metal cuffs, and yanked it off from her easily as he ignores the vervains burning his fingers. Then he tore the leather straps off from her head, free from metal cage muzzle, and threw it on the ground violently. Kol's undead heart lit up as he could see his vampire's face clearly. He hated that fucking Dark Muzzle on her.
"M-my rings…" Caroline barely utter words, fortunately, Harper heard her easily.
Harper's eyes darted around until he found two rings that he knew belonged to his Lady. He grabbed the rings from the ground, slipped them on her fingers, and quickly yet gently picked her up in his arms. He completely ignores the vampire hunter as he turns around and steps out of the cellar.
Caroline leaned her head against the soldier vampire's shoulder despairingly, exhausted, and in pain. Her eyes flutter halfway while Bonnie covered her speechless mouth with her hand as her eyes teary. Caroline is covered with burns marks, and they are barely healing.
Bonnie knew that the blonde-haired beauty needs blood as soon as possible. She turned her head at Bill as her olive-green orbs shimmered to rage emeralds. "Touch her again, and I will hex you." She vowed darkly and quickly followed her ancestor out.
"One day… I will torture you." The wild Original speaks up with cold promise at the bastard. He feels a weak tug that he knew he needed to leave before he blacked out.
When Bill realized that he was alone. The hunter quickly jogged to the table, grabbed a gun with wood bullets, and stormed out of the cellar.
However, he halted when a sound of cock from a pistol. Bill lifted his gaze upward and saw his ex-wife who held a gun at him.
"Hello, Bill." Liz greeted the man, indifferently.
Bill slowly surrenders his hands. "Put the gun down, Liz. I need to go before they escape."
The Sheriff of Mystic Falls huffed. "You tortured our daughter for days. She looks up to you. She loves you. And you…repay her with torturous?"
"I did this for her, Liz. It's the right thing to do. I don't want to kill her. The only way she can live is to forsake her bloodthirst. She can do this. I love her." The hunter explained his reason.
Liz shakes her head incredulity and bewildered. "She's Caroline. She's always Caroline. She just happened to have extra to add to her life." she said, softly. "If you cannot accept that, then she's not your daughter."
Bill stares blankly at her.
"…you leave me with no choice, Bill."

Caroline's Bedroom
Later…
Kol leaned against the wall while watching his vampire drinking from the blood bag as she is currently sitting on her bed.
Caroline had already showered earlier and wore her own comfy pajamas. Liz is sitting on the edge of the bed while Bonnie is standing next to Caroline. Harper is leaning his side against the door frame, scanning around for any danger out of habit.
After the blonde-haired beauty finished her fifth blood bag, she lowered it and handed to her mother who takes it not unkindly. "Thank you." Caroline said with a weak smile at her mother. She learned that Liz grabbed a few blood bags from the hospital a while ago.
Bonnie placed her hand on Caroline's shoulder with a concerned face. "Care… are you all heal?" she won't ever forget the terrible wounds on her vampire best friend's body. It was awful.
"Yeah… all healed." Caroline assures Bonnie with a faux-smile that easily fools everyone except a certain Original.
Liz bit her lip contemplatively and then sighed. "Honey, your dad… all our families, we have beliefs that have been passed on through generations. And we were taught never to stray from them."
Kol scoffed loudly while Bonnie's lips pressed together, and Harper moved his gaze to his Lady's mother quietly.
"You did." The blonde-haired beauty pointed it out.
Sheriff Forbes half-smiled at her daughter. "You taught me to look at things in a different way."
Caroline just shook her head, moved down, and laid her head against the pillow. "I don't want to talk about this. I just want to be alone. Please." She uttered, tiredly. Her blue-green eyes glanced at her mother, Bonnie, and Harper. "Thank you for coming for me. I appreciate it." She is truly thankful for them.
Liz stood up from the edge of the bed while Bonnie leaned over and pecked her vampire best friend's temple. "I'll call you tomorrow, Care-care."
"Love you, Bon-bon." Caroline mumbled with a small smile. Bonnie smiles back in response and walks to the doorway.
Harper tipped his head at Caroline and left with Bonnie down the corridor.
Liz made sure the blanket covered Caroline and patted her maternally. "I love you, honey."
"I love you too, mom…" she watches her mother striding out of her bed. "…mom." Liz paused the doorway with her hand on the doorknob, she turned halfway with curiosity. "Thanks for believing in me." A warm smile appeared on the mother's face. The Sheriff steps out of the bedroom and shuts the door quietly behind her.
Caroline turned to her other side and stared blankly at the empty spot beside her. "…Kol." She whispered, wanting her ghost friend with her.
"I'm here, darling." The transparent Original shoved himself away from the wall, sauntered around the bed, and climbed on side of the bed that he's always laid on. He leaned his head on his hand as his elbow rested on the bed while laying on his side.
Kol extends his hand and gently brushes his vampire's cheek with the back of his fingers. A familiar icy-cold touch sends shivers down Caroline's shine.
Somehow, the blonde-haired beauty could feel a sincere and loving touch from Kol. She recalled how much he stayed by her side for days in the cellar. How she kept sane all because of his voice and his ice touches. Without him, she would have given up.
And now she is safe and back in her warm bed. Yet all the terrible memories that happened to her in the last few days were because of her father who had tortured her. Her body is healed but emotionally and mentally…
…it left her damaged and trauma.
She could hold the heartbreak no longer as she pressed her face against her pillow, and grief poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears. Kol wishes he could grab her and pull her to his arms, wipe her tears away. "I promise you. I will never fail you. I won't let anyone harm you ever again. For as long as I live, you will always be safe with me, my darling girl." Kol whispered as he strokes his feather-like fingertips on her bare arms, hoping it brings her comfort as he ignores a single drop of grief welled up from the corner of his eye.
