Mystic Falls
High School
Parking Lots
Morning...

She is standing in front of the school building in the noisy parking lots. The blonde-haired beauty squinted her eyes at the facility for a brief moment in consideration. Last night was full of drama and chaos. And now, students and teachers mingle on the first day of school, unaware of the horror from the night before. "So underwhelming." Caroline commented, bluntly.

Kol snorted with dry amusement as he stood next to her, lazily crossing his arms over his chest. "Just shows how much of obliviousness these humans are." he muttered, nonchalantly. Humans are mostly boring to him besides being carriers of blood. The only expectation of a human was his darling before she was forced to become a vampire. He is still pissed about that. Wonder where that Petrova bitch is. He mused, entertaining the thought of hunting down that murderer whore.

Caroline crossed her arms with a sigh while watching students happily greeting their friends and peers. A large banner was pinned on the brick wall, welcoming the students back to school. "Senior year." The vampire and the ghost turned their head to Bonnie who stepped up with her palms on her hips.

Bonnie carefully scanned around. "Think it should feel slightly more empowering?" she asked, turning her olive-green orbs to her best friend, perplexed.

"Well, considering that a big bad wolf decided to ruin our normal moment during failing prank night." Caroline grumbled, unhappily. Kol sends his understanding sympathy glance at his vampire. "Sorry darling. My paranoid bastard of a brother is a wet blanket. Party pooper not knowing how to have fun." he snorted, exasperatedly.

The blonde beauty shakes her head. "Doesn't matter. Right now, we are going to accept that prank night was a bust and move on." She wants to focus on the positive which made Kol watch her fondly. He loves it when his darling vampire won't let anything negative affect her life.

"You're right." The petite witch nodded her head, agreed with her best friend.

"I agreed." All heads in the direction where they saw Elena walking toward them with a weak smile. She is wearing a scarf around her neck, covering the savage bite wound. The brunette doppelganger waves at them. "Hey guys."

Bonnie tilted her head with a concerned glint in her eyes. "You okay, Elena?" she noticed the slight dark circles that were barely covered by the concealing powder.

Elena nodded her head quietly while clinging to the strap of her school bag over her shoulder. Caroline and Bonnie exchange glance while Kol just ignores the minger boring doppelganger.

"Today will be a fabulous day." Caroline cleared her throat, attempting to brighten up the sullen mood. "Why should I let the fact that disaster that happened to us put a damper on our first day as seniors!" The girls plus transparent Original start walking across the parking lots.

Bonnie nodded her head. "Yes. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his dead girlfriends hinder this experience?" Kol made a grimace face. "Still think you should break off from that boring Gilbert." he muttered.

Elena opened her mouth. "Today's our anniversary." she halted with cold realization. The witch, the vampire, and the ghost paused and turned to her. "Technically, Stefan and I met on the first day of school last year." the brunette added, sadly.

"Yeah. You win." Caroline mumbled, worried about her friend while Bonnie's lips pressed together with a disagreed glint in her eyes while Kol jerked his head to his vampire baffled.

"Oh hell bloody no! If anyone who takes the top of a fucked up list from what happened in a year was you, darling. You fucking got used and mind raped that disgusting piece of shit, got in an accident, killed by that slut, forced into vampirism, kidnapped THREE FUCKING TIMES, tortured TWICE, nearly die multiples times, and shit, darling. You're going to be the reason why I'm so fucking paranoid and overprotective of you." Kol rant, stressed and agitated. He truly hates how useless he is when he cannot protect his vampire. Caroline made a face as she silently wondered what the hell is Kol talking about when she only had heard a handful of angry words.

Bonnie tilted her head while scrutinizing the brunette thoughtfully. "Are you sure you want to be here?"

"I have to be here." Elena said with determination, lifting her doe-shaped eyes with her chin high. "I have to put it behind me. New year. New life." She nods with confidence and then walks forward.

The blonde beauty glanced at her witch best friend who narrowed her eyes at Elena for a brief moment. "What do you think?" she whispered, curious.

"I think that Elena is lying to herself just to make everything okay." Bonnie stated, solemnly. The best friends exchanged glances and sauntered across the parking lots to the school building.

Kol sighs loudly as he obviously not looking forward to the boring arse school. "Seriously... what is so great about school?" he grumbled, shoving his hands in his front pockets while following his vampire.

Kol is following his vampire who has been putting up the flyers on the wall and boards for ten minutes. The transparent Original hummed to himself with neutral interest. When Caroline paused at one of the track boards, she lifted a flyer and pressed thumbtack in. She displayed her self-satisfied.

The Prince Original decided to amuse himself by poking his icy-cold touch against her cheek. Caroline wrinkles her nose as she controls her shivers. "Kol." she lightly scolded her ghost friend, playfully. Kol grinned at her.

"I forgot about the bonfire." Caroline twirled around in surprise while Kol groaned when he saw the doppelganger again. "Why are you here." Kol rather have the boring doppelganger mope somewhere than near his vampire.

"You have to go." Caroline rushed with wide eyes. "It's our first spirit squad event. And it sets the bar for the whole year-"

Elena interjected gently. "Relax, Caroline." her lips twitch with amusement. "I'll be there."

Caroline sighs with relief. "Thank you. It's just that-" Suddenly an arm wrapped around her shoulders startled her while Kol growls angrily.

"The fuck you think you're doing, you bloody dog?!" Kol bristled as he hated how careless and touching the young Lockwood was.

"Happy First Day!" Tyler grinned at Caroline and Elena with excitement sparkles in his eyes.

Elena easily spots the red dot on his shirt. "Is that blood?" she carefully whispered when her eyes landed on dried blood.

Caroline and Kol immediately glanced at the shirt and saw it. "Oh my God!"

The wild Original snorted, unimpressed. "Idiot."

The blonde beauty hurriedly grabbed Tyler while Elena followed quickly close by. They went into the boys' restroom while Kol raised his eyebrows at how bold this looked like from the outsiders. He shrugged and followed.

Kol watches gleefully when he notices that his vampire is scolding Tyler with a slightly harsh tone. Elena quickly checks out the stalls to make sure no one is there.

"Vampire one-oh-one... don't wear your breakfast to school!" Caroline smacks the back of her hand against Tyler's shoulder with an exasperated frown.

Tyler glanced at the dried blood that stained his shirt. "Chill out." he scoffed as he lifted his head at Caroline. "It was just a blood bag."

Caroline narrowed her suspicious eyes at Tyler while Kol crossed his arms and Elena quietly went to the machine and grabbed some paper towels. "From where?" she is aware that it's not easy to get blood bags unless you have a connection. Her mother has a connection with the hospital, thanks to her being the Sheriff of Mystic Falls.

"Rebekah hooked me up." The Lockwood hybrid admitted. Kol straightened up his spine with interest while Caroline blinked in surprise.

Elena furrowed her eyebrows at this new information. "Rebekah? Klaus' sister?" Tyler nodded his head. "Why? She was the reason to dragged you into-" Elena made a gesture with her free hand while her other hand was holding paper towels. "-this."

"Klaus told her to keep a watch on me. Protect his new asset." Tyler explained with an elated smile.

The transparent Original huffed with dry amusement. "More like making sure to keep a tight leash on you." he muttered, well aware of what his paranoid brother was thinking.

Caroline shakes her head, attempts to comprehend the words. "His what?"

"Why are you amused by this?" Elena questioned, disturbed.

Tyler studied his friends for a moment. "I'm his first successful hybrid, guys. Don't you think that's the tiniest bit awesome?" he makes an inch between his index finger and his thumb with wiggling eyebrows.

The vampire and the doppelganger glanced at each other incredulity while Kol stared flatly at the Lockwood. "Being his loyal lap dog is such a pleasure role for you, then good for you." he sarcastically said.

"Oh wow." Elena shoved the paper towels into Caroline's hands and angrily stormed out of the bathroom.

Tyler raised his eyebrows. "Dramatic much?"

Caroline rolled her eyes while Kol snorted. "Just...clean yourself up properly. Next time, make sure not to make a mess when you drink the blood bag. You don't want anyone to know that you are a hybrid." The blonde beauty handed the paper towels to Tyler, not unkindly.

"You know... this kinda changes things, right?" Tyler walked to the sink, and carefully damp the paper towels with water.

The blonde beauty crossed her arms with a puzzled frown while Kol leaned against the wall behind her. "Yeah, and?"

Tyler almost shyly glanced at Caroline from the mirror. "You're a vampire. So am I, sorta..." Kol narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the Lockwood, not liking where this was going. "...we can work it out together... as a couple."

"Fuck that!" He has a feeling that this mangy dog won't treat his vampire right. After all, his darling girl deserves to be treated like a fucking Queen as he made a self-promise to court her.

A disblieved chuckle released from her lips, astonished by how bold Tyler was. "Seriously?" Caroline raised her eyebrow at him, unimpressed. "This is how you ask a girl out?"

Kol whirled his head at Caroline with aghast shock. "Please tell me you are not interested in that puppy with fangs?!"

"Wait... you're interested?" Lockwood hybrid paused his hand when he was cleaning the blood off with damp paper towels, a hint of hope heard in his tone.

The blonde beauty rolled her eyes. "No." Kol placed his hand on his dead heart. "Thank bloody Goddess." Tyler's face falls with disappointment. "I'm just saying that is a really sucky way to ask a girl out. Not very romantic."

"Noted, darling." The wild Original will make sure to do a spectacular romantic court that she will never forget in her lifetime.

The school bell rings to warn students. "Well, first class is about to start." Caroline tipped her head at Tyler's shirt. "Finish that and be careful." She sauntered out of the boys' bathroom while Kol sent his loathed glares at the young Lockwood.

Later...

Caroline ambled her way to one of the desks which is next to Bonnie. They both exchanged sisterly smiles while Kol made a face when he read the words on the blackboard in chalk. Alaric stood while watching and waiting for all the seniors to take their seats.

He opened his mouth. "Welcome back, seniors." he greeted his students with a polite smile. "Let's turn our brains back on, starting with this country's original founders... the Native Americans."

"Oi, where's the Vikings?" Kol blurted it out, slightly offended.

"What about the Vikings?" a familiar feminine voiced out causing Kol to snap his head at the door and see his sister walk in with a confident smile. He thought she left with Klaus.

The Princess Original takes a seat at a desk front row. All eyes were on her while Caroline and Bonnie looked at each other in unexpected surprise.

"There's no evidence that Viking explorers actually settled in the United States." Alaric answered without thinking then he looked at Rebekah with a puzzled frown. "Who are you?"

"My name's Rebekah." she smiled charmingly as she leaned her chin on her palm. "I'm new. And history's my favorite subject." Kol raised his eyebrow at his sister, skeptical. He knew for a fact that Rebekah hated history because there were lots of false information. It was Elijah's favorite subject.

Plus, what the ever-loving bloody hell is she doing in this school?

Caroline and Bonnie are doing their warm-up on the side of the pitch. While Kol is enjoying watching his blonde cheerleader. It has been a while since he watched her doing some cheerleader routine. The blonde beauty leaned closer to her witch best friend. "We're missing one." she whispered, carefully while stretching her arms.

"I know. Dana." Bonnie mumbled, feeling sad that Dana and Chad were killed by the Ripper last night. Caroline's lips pressed together, knew the tragedy as well. It is truly unfortunate that two innocent people got caught in a supernatural mess and got killed because they were at the wrong time in the wrong place.

One of the cheerleaders examined the girls for a moment. "Has anybody seen Dana?" she called out, wondering. The cheerleaders respond with negatives.

"Sounds like you have an opening on the squad." Rebekah arrived with a confident smile. Caroline and Bonnie were stiff with alert and cautious. The Princess Original started stretching her arms as she joined in.

Kol stepped forward with interest and curiosity as to why the hell is his sister doing this. Is she really interested in being a student at the boring school or was she messing around just for fun?

"What are you doing?" Bonnie asked, warily while Caroline eyed the Princess Original. Rebekah just ignores them as she lowers herself to the ground and stretches her legs.

The Bennett witch glanced at Caroline who shrugged her shoulders, unsure. "Let's just continue stretching. I don't want to deal with an Original right now." Caroline muttered, not wanting to get involved with any new drama on their first day. Plus, she wasn't sure how to feel about this new Original vampire. All she knew was that Rebekah was Kol's little sister.

The best friends continue their warm-up routine while Kol watches his sister with a contemplative glint in his dark eyes. He stood back and watched over his vampire and his mentee for a while.

The wild Original can't help but glance at his sister every few minutes. Silently noted how she was enjoying this. Chatting with one of the cheerleaders. Copied some moves. Exchanged excited smiles with others. Not even attempt to cause any trouble. Not even a single of mockery from her face.

Rebekah looks like she is truly, genuinely, having fun.

When was the last time he had seen her true smile?

Kol frowns deeply when he attempts to think back. Over a century or so ago?

He lifted his dark gaze over at his sister blankly. Rebekah stepped back and then started doing her impressive gymnastic moves with a cartwheel, flip, and end with a front split. The Princess Original smiles so widely that cheerleaders applaud her for her talents while boys are whistling at her, amazed by her. Even Caroline and Bonnie are reluctantly impressed as well. Rebekah gracefully stood up to her feet and chatted with the cheerleaders, never stopping smiling.

"Huh." Kol ponders for a moment.

Forbes' Residence
Caroline's Bedroom
Later...

"She wants to what?" Bonnie stared at Caroline with incredulity as she was sitting on the edge of the bed.

Caroline blinked her eyelashes while screwing the mascara back into the tube. "Elena wanted me to make sure the old Forbes jail cell is prepped and ready." she said, nervously. Caroline doesn't want to go anywhere near the cell where her father trapped her and tortured her. That place makes her uncomfortable and anxious.

Kol scowled angrily when he heard that. He hated the idea and that stupid trollop just assumed Caroline would obey her order. Fucking doppelganger.

The Bennett witch shakes her head. "No. No, no, no!" Bonnie never forgets the horrible scene where she saw the terrible state her best friend was in from that nightmare of a cell. "You are not going anywhere near that disgusting filthy place."

"Thank you!" the transparent Original threw his hands, grateful for his mentee's answers.

"And why the hell am I hearing this now? Elena never mentioned this plan to me." Bonnie asked, confused.

Caroline set the mascara down on the surface of her vanity. "Elena doesn't want you to get involved with this mess. She thinks you are better off."

Kol made offensive noises from the back of his throat. "Excuse me? As a mentor for a Bennett witch, she can handle this stupid arse plan just fine on her own if she wants." he grumbles. How dare that boring minger doppelganger bitch thinks that his mentee cannot handle the problems.

"Seriously?" Bonnie looked offended. "I can handle whatever supernatural mess going on that involves this town." She has grown stronger with her magic, thanks to her mentor.

"Well, can you handle Stefan? He is a mindless asshole who doesn't care about hurting people." Caroline turned sideways with a concerned frown. "With his emotions shut off... he is a completely different person."

Kol opened his mouth. "Not exactly." he blunted, disinterested. All emotions are not entirely shut off. He thought about his experience with his shut off emotions. He was one hella of a nightmare arsehole vampire from the beginning.

The petite witch frowned. "I'm sure I can think of one or two things to knock him out." she cock her eyebrow. "I can always snap his neck with a snap of my fingers." Bonnie said with a cold smile. Kol smirked gleefully at his mentee.

Caroline smiles weakly. "I know you can." She knew that her best friend is a strong witch. "If you do that, it'll be easy. I just need to make sure that cell is prepared for Stefan." Her lips twitch to a discomfort frown.

Bonnie shakes his head. "Honestly, I don't care about Stefan's drama. What I care about is that you don't have to do it." Her olive-green eyes lighten with magic energy. "That cell was the reason you had a nightmare about it. You couldn't even sleep in the dark anymore." She glanced at the nightlight near the window. Kol frowned, aware of this as he had witnessed how Caroline nearly panicked during the night.

"That made me weak, Bonnie." Caroline gritted her teeth, upset with herself. "I'm supposed to be a badass and confident vampire. Not get panic attacks at the thought of that cell. I'm supposed to be strong. Not a weak and useless little girl!" her fingers curled into tight fists on her lap.

Bonnie's eyes softened while Kol's shoulders slumped, hating to see his vampire's distress. "Care... you aren't weak. That cell... that place... Your father tortured you for days-" Caroline flinched. "-and it caused you to have a trauma." The blonde vampire lowered her eyes to the ground, wordlessly.

The petite witch shoved herself from the bed and strode straight to her best friend. She grabbed Caroline's hands as their talisman bracelets shimmered beautifully. Caorline's teary blue-green orbs lifted to meet bright strong green eyes. "You are not weak. You get up from your bed every morning. All the hell you have been through for an entire year, you still get up. You push it forward and live your life. That, to me, is how insanely strong you are."

"Bonnie..." Caroline mumbled, unsure how to say this.

Bonnie smiles warmly. "I admire you. Always stay positive no matter what. You are the light that shines in the ugly dark world. You are my best friend, my sister and I love you so much." Caroline released her teary giggles, feeling happy and touched. "I'm here for you. Always by your side. Same with that hardass mentor of mine." she added with playful rolling eyes.

Kol narrowed his eyes at his mentee with mirth yet his undead heart swelled with relief and proud.

"I love you too, Bon-Bon." Caroline sniffled. "And Kol isn't that bad." she half-weakly protests on her ghost's behalf. Kol pressed his hand over his chest dramatically. "That right, I ain't too bad, little witch." the wild Original whispered, not wanting to interrupt the sisterly bonds between the vampire and the witch.

Bonnie giggled softly as she pressed her forehead against Caroline's. "Promise me that you stop thinking about how weak you are?" she whispered gently. Caroline closed her eyes and hummed in response. "Good." Bonnie closed her eyes as well. Unaware their bracelets shine a little bit brighter than normal. As if, sense how deep their bond has grown.

The transparent Original is awed and slightly envious of how much strength of a sisterhood bond the girls share.

A vampire and a witch.

His girls are truly special.

Night

Caroline paced the floor back and forth with her arms crossed. Elena is leaning against the desk with her palms while Alaric listening to her explanation and Damon sitting on a low shelf with a bored face.

Kol glares hatefully at the soon-to-be-dead vampire.

"-I'll lure Stefan away from the bonfire. Then when he's distracted-"

Alaric interjected. "I'll shoot him."

Damon dropped his head back. "Can't Bonnie just juju him or something?" he said, bored. Caroline glares at him while Kol hisses at the piece of shit for daring to use a disrespectful tone to his mentee.

"I'm trying to keep Bonnie out of this." Elena denied it with a shake head. "I don't trust that Stefan won't hurt her."

"She's a fucking witch." Kol blunted flaty. "She can handle it on her own, you stupid bloody brainless trollop." he is not happy that little witch won't be involved in this stupid half-arse baked plan. At least Caroline told Bonnie about it.

Elena turned her gaze to Caroline. "Caroline, are you covered?"

"Yes. The old Forbes jail cell is prepped and ready." The blonde beauty easily lied behind her faux charming smile. 'Actually, Bonnie did that for me 'cause I get panic attacks when I try to get close to that cell.' she mentally added, grateful to have a beautiful thoughtful best friend who helped her. Kol sends his knowing glance at his vampire.

The older Salvator huffed loudly. "We're forgetting a key player here. Rebekah?" Kol snapped his eyes at Damon warily. "Wherever Stefan goes, the blonde ponytail tends to follow."

"I hope Rebekah is not having sex with that boring Ripper." Kol blurted it out, thinking his sister could do better.

Elena turned around and faced Damon. "Which is why it's your job to keep her away."

Kol is not liking this.

"How?!" Damon waved his hands around, disblieved. "She's an Original. Last time I checked, we're out of daggers."

The transparent Original glares deadly at the soon-to-be-dead vampire.

"So then preoccupy her with your charm." the doppelganger countered calmly.

Kol does not like this at all. His sister is not someone you messed with. No one should play with his sister's sensitive emotions and heart. He silently vowed to make sure the older Salvatore had very long suffering in the dark depths of a dirty cell for decades.

"Might have better luck finding the dagger." Alaric speaks up with a dry smile.

Damon narrowed his eyes at the hunter. "Are you ever not going to be mad at me for a day?"

"Doubtful." the hunter replied, flatly.

"Sorry I'm late." Lockwood hybrid walked in with a friendly grin. "What's going on?"

Kol groans loudly in disgust. Why can't he have a year without seeing this mangy dog with baby fangs?

"We need you to raid your mom's vervain supply." Elena went straight to the point. "Enough to keep Stefan down for a while."

Tyler frowned. "You can't do that to Stefan."

Awkward silence appeared in the classroom. Kol tilted his head thoughtfully while examining the young Lockwood.

"Why not?" Caroline doesn't understand with a perplexed frown.

The brunette cleared her throat. "Trust me, Tyler. It's in his best interest." she insisted.

Tyler shakes his head. "Yeah. It's not in Klaus'."

"Oh shit." the transparent Original understood almost immediately. He has seen this a few times in the past. Centuries ago, he had a crazy obsessive vampire chick who was a sired to him. That bitch wouldn't leave him alone for weeks. Rebekah was so fed up with the clingy vampire that she ended up killing the obsessive vampire. "He has been sired."

Caroline slightly tilted her head when she heard her ghost friend's word. 'Sired?'

"Why are you acting so weird?" Elena questioned, unsure what the hell was wrong with the young Lockwood.

Damon slid down from the shelf, smoothly walked around the desk, and grabbed an object.

"What?" Alaric stared at Tyler with incredulity and confusion.

Tyler crossed his arms. "Klaus made me who I am. I owe him everything." he stated with a fact.

Kol sighed as he tipped his head back. "That bastard will be very happy once he learns that his hybrids are sired to him." he just knows that Klaus would be so joyful by this new information.

Elena shakes her head, incomprehensible. "What is going on with you?"

Unexpectedly, Damon used his vamp-speed and harshly injected the vervain dart into Tyler's neck. The young Lockwood instantly collapsed on the ground. "Oh my-" Caroline quickly checked on him with concern while Kol grumbled at his vampire. "Why are you getting close to that thing?" he whined, discontent.

"Why did you do that?" the blonde beauty snapped at Damon, baffled.

The older Salvatore playing with the empty vervain dart while eyeing the hybrid. "He's been sired." he announced to everyone.

Caroline halted as she heard that word again. 'Kol said that.' She would ask her ghost friend about it, unfortunately, she is not alone so she can't.

Damon turned around at the others who were watching him with questioning faces. "He feels loyal to Klaus because Klaus' blood created him." he explained, grimly.

Elena furrowed her eyebrows. "Loyal how?"

"He'll seek acceptance from his master. It's really rare." Damon glanced at the unconsciousness hybrid, contemplative. "But maybe not so much in hybrids."

Caroline turned her attentive blue-green eyes back to Tyler while biting her cheek. 'That's not good. We had Stefan and Rebekah who are spies for Klaus. Now, we got another potential spy as well.' she silently sighed. "What are we going to do with him? Can't exactly leave him here." she pointed it out, unsure what to do with Tyler.

"Dump him in the lake." Kol offered his suggestion, shamelessly. Caroline made a face as she could guess those words from a wild Original that had something to do with dumping a Lockwood hybrid in a body of water. The blonde beauty knew that Kol despised Tyler ever since the ghost threw the young hybrid away from her that night.

Considering the fact that Kol has romantic feelings for her.

Caroline mentally shook those thoughts back in her mind while ignoring the soft flutter in her undead heart. She needs to focus on the problem right now.

"I'll do it." Alaric volunteers easily. "I could take him back to his home. I'm sure his mother will take care of him." The hunter sauntered around to Tyler while Caroline stood up and stepped away.

The brunette idly scratched her temple with frustration. "Now what?"

"How about getting my mentee involved?" Kol faux-chripped, cheerfully.

Caroline silently agreed with her ghost friend. "Well, we can ask Bonnie for help." Damon pointed at her while raising eyebrows at Elena as if saying, 'I agree with her'.

Elena was hesitant for a brief moment while Alaric picked up Tyler over his shoulder carefully and then her shoulders slumped, resigned. "Fine."

"Wonderful! I'll get her." the blonde beauty clapped her hands silently with excitement and relief. She twirled around and hurriedly left the classroom before anyone opened their mouth. Kol quickly chases after her.

Meanwhile...

The petite witch frowned thoughtfully as she walked down the hallway with Jeremy at her side. "So, what you are telling me is that Vicki has been trying to find a way out of the other side?"

"Yeah." Jeremy nodded his head while clenching the straps of a backpack. "I saw her earlier today, trying to communicate with her brother. But Matt never noticed."

Bonnie flick the bangs away from her eyes. "That's because he moved on." She did study a bit about her boyfriend's ability to communicate with ghosts. "He accepted her death." She gave a hint to Jeremy, wanting him to accept and move on.

"Well... Anna said that it was dangerous. Because Vicki has been communicating with some super strong witch somehow." the young Gilbert uttered, worried.

The Bennett witch halted and turned to him with astonished and incredulity. "A witch? There's another witch involved in this and you didn't tell me earlier because?"

Jeremy stared at her, unsure and hesitant. "Uuh..." Then he turned to his empty side with slight exasperated. "Not now, Anna."

Bonnie raised her eyebrows, glanced at the empty air, and returned back to her boyfriend. "She's here?" she pointed at the empty space.

"She's just trying to help." Jeremy quickly defended himself.

The petite witch scoffed. "Seriously, you just-" she shakes her head, not wanting to deal with this right now. "I..."

"Bonnie!" the young Gilbert and Bennett witch turned around and saw Caroline who paused at the doorway, eyeing them carefully. "Uhh, hey... I kinda need Bonnie right now so..." she smiles awkwardly.

Bonnie's olive-green eyes lit up with relief. "It seems that I'm needed." she cocked her eyebrow at Jeremy then strode to her vampire best friend. Jeremy watches her with a disappointed face.

When the two best friends are out of Jeremy's hearing shot. Caroline turned her gaze to Bonnie. "Is everything alright, Bon-Bon?"

Kol had been watching silently over his mentee when he noticed how intense and stiff the atmosphere between Jeremy and her in the hallway earlier.

Bonnie just shakes her head. "I don't want to talk about it right now." she crossed her arms. "So, what do you need me for?" she changed the topic.

The blonde beauty hummed but decided to leave it alone for now. "Well, turned out that Tyler has been sired to Klaus. Some kind of slave to his master. Klaus' needs will be his top priority. So, he is unhelpful." she blurted out, slightly upset and lost. "I don't know if there's a way for him to break off or be free from Klaus." She shrugged her shoulders, uneasy.

"There's not." the transparent Original answered, uncaring.

The petite witch's lips pressed together as they turned the corner of the hallway. "Does that mean the plan to take Stefan in the cell is off tonight?"

"I don't think so. Elena isn't giving up." Caroline shrugged her shoulders.

"I still think it's a stupid plan." Kol muttered, following his girls back to the classroom where Elena and Damon were waiting.

From there, Elena explains the plan in detail with slight changes now that Bonnie is involved.

Later...

There are a few small bonfires near the seating areas while a large bonfire in the middle of the ground that is surrounded by students and peers. The boys are holding up a guy by his legs as he is doing a keg stand. Everyone chanting "drink" out loud. Even Elena is included as she is holding the red cup.

Among the partyers, Bonnie and Caroline are giggling while holding their red cup as Kol examines the surroundings with neutral interest. He has been seeing a lot of parties, thanks to his darling vampire. The ghost Original still misses the taste of fine alcohol. He shifted his dark gaze over to his vampire and his mentee who were enjoying their fun times together.

After a while, the plan is set in motion. Damon is distracting Rebekah with his "charm". Elena got Stefan's attention. Bonnie and Caroline are leaving the party sneakily.

The vampire, the witch, and the ghost Original waited near the bleachers where Elena was laying. She stared at the dark night full of stars. "I used to know every constellation. How did I forget them all?" she drunkenly said.

Stefan smoothly climbed over the bleachers. "You're drunk." he paused and raised his eyebrow at her when Elena turned her head at him. "You need to go home."

Elena gets up gracelessly. "Fine. Unh." She stumbles her feet over and holds onto the rails. "Let me find my car."

"You're joking, right?" Stefan deadpan.

The brunette shakes her head with a silly smile. "Uh-oh. It's the fun police. I thought that ripper Stefan was supposed to be the life of the party." She held up her hands and wriggled her fingers playfully.

Meanwhile, Caroline and Bonnie exchange glances while Kol watches in boredom.

Stefan shakes his head. "Well, alright. I'm driving you home. Come on." he turned sideways and Elena climbed over the railing. Stefan stopped when he doubletake and sighed. "What are you, five? Get down."

The transparent Original has a small hope that the stupid doppelganger would slip and fall. It'll be nice to see that. A tiny bit of satisfaction for him.

Fortunately for him, Elena indeed slipped and fell, however, Stefan caught her, much to his disappointment.

Bonnie quickly moves forward and flicks her wrist the second when Stefan puts Elena down from his arms. The sound of crack was heard as Stefan collapsed from a broken neck.

"Nice job, little witch." Kol said with an approval smirk.

Caroline made a beeline to the unconscious Stefan, easily using her super strength to pick him up. "You okay?" her blue-green eyes shone with concern when she noticed how distressed Elena was.

"Yeah. I'm...fine." the brunette tried not to look at Stefan.

Bonnie looked at the doppelganger with questioning. "You sure?"

Elena just nods her head. "I'm fine. Just...the plan worked. That's all that matters now." She gave her fake smile. "Now, we need to take him to Damon's car."

Caroline shut the trunk after she put Stefan in the back. Bonnie kept her eyes out for any bystanders while Elena climbed onto the driver's seat and shut the door. The blonde beauty jerked the stray of her hair away from her face and sauntered around to the passenger's side.

She extends her hands at the doorhandle but it won't budge. Her eyebrows furrowed, confused. "Elena? Can you unlock the door?" she asked.

Elena pressed the button but it didn't work.

Suddenly, the flames danced across the ground straight to the car and latched onto the tire.

"BLOODY HELL?!" Kol flinched back in astonished shocked when the flames aggressively licked over the car.

"ELENA!" Caroline and Bonnie shouted in dismay and shocked. They quickly help their brunette friend who is trapped inside the car. For some reason, the doors refuse to open. Elena kicked and hit the windshield but it was futile.

Bonnie stepped back and stared at the fires while her olive-green orbs shone prettily close to emerald. She is slowly controlling the wild fire.

The blonde beauty rapidly used her vamp-speed to the back burning trunk. She dug her nails in and pulled while ignoring the hot fires touching her hands. Kol did not like seeing the burn marks appearing on his vampire's arms. Luckily, it didn't take long when a loud snap was heard as the trunk door broke off and Caroline threw it across the pavement.

Elena coughed as she climbed out of the burning vehicle with Caroline's help. And they both went to grab and dragged the unconscious Stefan out. Caroline use her vamp-speed to speed them out of the way in a safe distance. Stefan was put on the ground as his halfway body leaned against the wall behind him.

It took a few minutes but the fire gradually diminished until it vanished into smoke. A relief was released from Bonnie's lips when she managed to control the fire and put it out on her own. There is a small amazement smile on her face. "I did it." Bonnie whispered, excited.

The beauty blonde ran to her witch best friend. "That was brilliant, Bonnie!" she wrapped her arms around the tiny witch's shoulders happily. Bonnie chuckled with delight. Elena ambled toward them as her doe-shaped eyes widened with amazement and impressed.

"That was amazing." Elena was awed by Bonnie's magic.

Kol smirks at his mentee with proud shining in his dark gaze. He strode toward his vampire and gently brushed the back of his fingers against her cheek, just to convince himself that she was alright and safe. Caroline barely stopped her shudder when she felt his icy-cold touch. "I'm okay, Kol." she whispered to him, barely loud enough for him to hear.

Dark smoke danced from the vehicle as the small broken crackled sound from it. The girls stared at the damaged burnt car for a silent moment until Caroline opened her mouth. "Well, it's not like Salvatore couldn't afford to buy a new car." she said, shamelessly with a hint of glee in her tone. It's kind of nice to see Damon's car destroyed. Bonnie covered her mirth smile with her hand while Elena rolled her eyes yet there was a tiny bit of laughter in her eyes.

The Prince Original chortled with amusement.

Later...

Kol leaned his back against the wall near the window with his hands shoved in his front pockets. He watches his vampire who changed her clothes to comfortable pajamas-pale purple tank top and black shorts-as she is sitting on her bed. Bonnie changed and wore borrowed pajamas-pale green mid-thigh length shirt and grey shorts-as she lay her back on the bed.

The blonde beauty glanced over at her nightstand where Bonnie's cell phone was ringing once again. "You sure you don't want to answer that?"

"Why should I when he already has Anna with him." The petite witch snipped with an upset frown.

Caroline bit her inner cheek, thoughtfully. Shifted her blue-green eyes away from the cell phone to her best friend. She can see how Bonnie is genuinely hurt that her own boyfriend is still communicating with his former girlfriend. "Have you talked to him about it?"

"Yeah. I did. Earlier today before the first bell rang. I told him that he has the control of his own ghost power. He can just not see them and actually focus on us right now." Bonnie huffed. "I'm not trying to be a bitch but his girlfriends are dead. He never broke up with them. He could use this opportunity to have closures and let them go."

The blonde beauty hummed with understanding. "But instead, he keeps in touch with them." she stated which made Bonnie nod her head.

"I'll say it again. You are better off than with baby Gilbert." Kol pointed it out, offhandedly.

The petite witch lifted her palms and rubbed her tired face. "Who would've thought our first day as seniors would be chaos."

"You can say that again." Caroline chuckled weakly. "...did you see how Elena looked at the Salvatore brothers?"

Bonnie groaned muffled behind her hands while Kol made a face. "I swear she has to be the most idiotic person to ever entertain the thought of the possibility of being with Damon." She dropped her hands on her stomach. "I barely tolerate Stefan but Damon? That asshole?"

"Well... that's what her heart wants." The blonde beauty half-shrugs even though she doesn't want the brunette doppelganger to be with Damon. The older Salvatore was responsible for her scars and he was not a good person.

No matter how much he tries to be good.

Damon Salvatore will never be forgiven by Caroline.

The Bennett witch shakes her head, puzzled. "I honestly have no idea what goes through her mind. And... I don't know. I feel like I'm slowly seeing her as someone else. A stranger who is wearing a familiar face." she whispered at the end, trailing off.

"I get it." Caroline reached over and grabbed her best friend's hand. Their talisman bracelets happily shine. "All we can do for now was just...be there for her? And who knows, when Stefan is back to normal, he and Elena will be happy together again. " She said with optimism.

"Yeah..." Bonnie muttered, slightly skeptical.

The transparent Original narrowed his eyes. "Love your optimistic darling, but I doubt it." he has a feeling that things are going to be very messy from now on in this small town.

Since Mystic Falls is one of the curse towns.

Meanwhile...

The elegant moonlight shines upon a feminine figure who stands near the tree. Like a beacon in the night, illuminating her delicate features and casting an ethereal glow around her. The wind rustles around her and leaves pluck off the branches as the branches dance. The royal-blue robe with a hood slipped back, revealing her long waist-length wavy blonde hair.

Her face lifted up as the lunar light hit her bright blue eyes. Her gaze stared at a single window from the second floor.

Suddenly, another feminine figure appeared next to her. Small dainty hands reached up, grabbed the edge of the forest-green hood of her robe, and pulled it down to reveal her jet-black hair that tied back to a loose braid and hazel eyes. "Emmanuella." she whispered through the windy night while eyeing the surroundings cautiously. "Why are we here? You know we are not supposed to be here."

Emmanuella hummed gently as a few strands of her hair played in the air by the wind. "This might be our only chance to see our descendants before your scion closes the door of the Other Side." She shifted her knowingly bright blue eyes to her sister. "I know you are curious about her, Imogen."

Imogen exhaled from her lips. Her hazel orbs glanced at the window, pondering. "As curious as I am, I do wish my scion had not created too many mistakes."

"She is but a young inexperienced witch. Let her learn her lesson and grow in her time." Emmanuella displayed her beautiful smile. "Bonnie has a talented mentor. He will make sure that she is well prepared for the supernatural society. She will be who she is meant to be, a powerful Bennett witch."

Imogen wrinkles her nose. "To think that Kol Mikealson would be my scion's mentor is truly baffling." She turned her attentive eyes to her sister. "Are you sincerely alright with having an Original vampire cursed bound to your descendant?"

The Sáõ gently entwined her fingers together and pressed them close to her chest with a mysterious glint in her bright blue eyes. "It is the only way."

"...even though it will cause a great many cataclysms and tragedies in their future?" Imogen softly said, almost sadly.

Emmanuella closed her eyes, feeling exhausted. "Without them, the Old Moon will succeed, and we cannot allow that to happen. I failed. And this time..." She opened her eyes and glanced at Imogen. "Caroline Forbes is our last chance." she whispered, gravely.

Imogen's lips pressed together with understanding yet sympathy sparkles in her hazel eyes. "...at least she is not alone."

The Sáõ allowed a lovely smile to appear. "Yes." She is happy to witness that her descendant have good friends who truly treasures her.

After a short moment of silence between the sisters who watched the light from the window that finally turned off. "Let's return before our ancestors realize we have snuck off." Imogen eying around with an alert gaze. "It is dangerous for you to be out here."

"We are ghosts, Imogen." Emmanuella pointed it out slightly amused by how overprotective her sister is.

"Does not matter whether we are ghosts or not. You are still..." Imogen waves her hand over at her sister. Even in death, Bennett witches who are promised cannot even say "Sáõ".

Emmanuella nods her head in a wordlessly respond. She knows that being out in the open, especially in the mortal realm is quite dangerous and reckless of her. However, she cannot help but want to see her descendant who is their last hope.

After all, supernatural society needs a Sáõ.

Imogen held out her palm to her sister who easily accepted it. They both took one last glance at the window as the winds arrived once again, making the leaves fly in the semi-cool air along with the petals of flowers. Moonlight shifted over the trees and grassy land. As if no one has been there all along.
