Next Day...

Kol watches Bonnie carefully painting the words with a paintbrush on the poster that lays over the folded tables. His dark gaze shifted to his vampire who was checking on people while holding the clipboard in her hands. She is directing and helping the students as they are doing their volunteering duty for the upcoming Homecoming dance that will happen tonight.

The blonde-haired beauty nodded her head with an approving smile at one of the students who showed her the finished poster. A male student walked up to her and mumbled something. Caroline glanced around quickly and gestured for the student to follow her. When they head to the old VW Bus that is currently being sprayed with glitter guns by the Lockwood hybrid.

Kol made a sour face at the git werewolf as he stepped closer to his vampire. Caroline cleared her throat. "Hey, can you hand me the glitter gun, please?" she asked, politely.

Tyler glanced at her and nodded before he finished the last touch on the bus. He handed the glitter gun to her. "Thanks." Caroline sends him her neutral smile. She handed the glitter gun to the male student who thanked her and returned to his duty.

"So...wanna grab a bite?" Tyler shyly asked with a charming half-smile.

The transparent Original glares at the git werewolf. "Back away from my vampire, you nasty flea dog." he hisses, wanting this disgusting piece of filth away from his vampire.

Caroline idly scratched her temple with the end of her pen while her eyes stayed on the clipboard. "If you are really thirsty, you can use a thermos I have in my bag." she said, indifferently. Kol glanced at her with amused yet fondness. The fact that Caroline didn't notice Tyler was attempting to ask her out on a date.

"Uhh, I meant...umm...a real bite." Caroline shifted her gaze up at Tyler with a raised questioning eyebrow. Tyler continued. "Rebekah knows some people who like to be fed on. They're into it, we don't even have to compel them."

"No surprise there." Prince Original commented as he is clearly aware of how his sister actually enjoys drinking blood from willing humans. Even he also enjoys it because it was amusing how many mortals were turned on just by having their blood sucked out of their veins.

The blonde-haired beauty shakes her head, disturbed. "First of all—that is weird. I rather not get involved with those weird people 'cause that's freaking. Sounded like an orgy to me." her nose wrinkled at the thought of being anywhere near those type of crowd. Kol made a mental note to remind himself not to get his darling vampire involved with an orgy—not that will happen but excellent to know. "Second of all, it seems to me that you've hung out with Rebekah a lot?" she said with curiosity interested.

"Ah, yeah... sort of. She is kinda bit of a loner." the Lockwood hybrid with a half-shrug while grabbing a spray can from the duffle bag.

Caroline hummed with understanding while using the end of her pen to brush her bangs away from her face that was being played by the breeze. "Does she have a date for the Homecoming tonight?"

"Well..." Tyler trailed off while shaking the spray can lazily. "...she asked if she could go with me." he glanced at Caroline, watching her reaction.

Kol narrowed his eyes at the young Lockwood suspiciously. Caroline's lip twitched up with a sweet smile. "Are you? I think it's nice of you to take her. Since she hasn't been in this school long."

"Uh, right." Tyler's hopeful eyes changed to disappointment as he wore a fake smile. "What about you? Got any date?"

The blonde-haired beauty hummed with a nod. "More like a group. I'm going with Bonnie and Lexi—my other friend, someone you don't know." she quickly clarified the last part when Tyler looked at her with confusion.

"Care!" Caroline turned her head over her shoulder with curiosity when she heard her name called out. Bonnie waved her paintbrush in the air at her. "Need your input on this."

"Coming!" the blonde-haired beauty turned her gaze back to Tyler. "I do hope you and Rebekah will have fun together." she said with a sweet smile.

Kol watches his vampire saunter toward Bonnie and glances at Tyler who looks completely discontented with his shoulders slumped. The mischief Original frowned at the Lockwood hybrid. "Caroline is never going to be romantic interested in you." he stated, if only this young annoying hybrid had given up on her.

Moment Later...

"Think Elena will come to the Homecoming tonight with Stefan?" Caroline asked her petite witch best friend as they both were sitting on the bench, taking a break from their duty. Bonnie sipped her warm tea from the thermos cup. Caroline is holding her theroms that are halfway filled with blood.

"Maybe." the Bennett witch answered then frowned thoughtfully. "Is it really okay to have Lexi coming with us? I mean, she did tell us yesterday that she is upset with Stefan." Recalling when they both returned to Caroline's house and saw Lexi eating the tube of ice cream with a giant spoon in the kitchen. Lexi explained that Damon took Stefan from the old cell and that Stefan hurt her by opening her past wound right at her face. Lexi is truly upset with her best friend and decides to avoid him for a short break.

The blonde-haired beauty made a face. "Stefan really is an emotionless asshole." she blunted without caring which amused Kol. "But I won't let him stop Lexi from coming to the dance with us. She deserves to have a good time and focus on the fun. Plus, she was disappointed that she couldn't come to the masquerade party last year with Lee." she explained, with an excited smile. She is looking forward to having a wonderful time tonight with her friends.

The wild Original scanned around in their surroundings out of habit, watching over his girls for any danger. His dark eyes landed on his sister who was approaching them. "Bex?" he muttered, puzzled why Rebekah was walking toward the Bennett witch and the blonde-haired beauty.

Just as Rebekah reached toward the supernatural girls who had been quiet when they noticed her. Princess Original displayed her confident smirk. "Girls." she greeted them, warily yet politely.

"Hey." Caroline weakly smiles while Bonnie just waves mannerly. "Umm, is there a reason you come to us?" the blonde-haired beauty questioned, curious.

Rebekah hesitated for a very brief moment then nodded her head. "Yes. I would like to clarify this Homecoming royalty? I thought the purpose of Homecoming was supposed to welcome students?" she asked, uncertain.

"Oh!" Caroline's blue-green eyes lit up with understanding. "Homecoming is basically a welcome-back-to-school event. A school pride. As for the Homecoming royalty—well, it's more of a fun traditional. They focus on the Princesses and Princes rather than the King and Queen. King and Queen are big things for the Prom, which is like, way later."

The wild Original made a face about that. "I think it's a big waste of time to play pretend as royalty in boring high school." he commented, disinterested.

Princess Original slowly nodded her head in acknowledgment of the information. "Does that mean is there a chance I could be this...Homecoming Princess? Or a Queen?" her blue eyes spark with enthusiasm and wonder.

Caroline tilted her head, thoughtfully when she noticed how almost shy Princess Original was, despite Rebekah attempting to wear a nonchalance mask. Her heart squeezed empathic for the young immortal teenager. "It's a possibility." she decided not to get jealous nor be petty if by chance she might not be crowned tonight. Something tells her that Rebekah never gets a true experience of what's like to be a normal girl in high school. Besides, being Miss Mystic Falls is better than high school royalty. She could still feel that little excitement running through her undead heart ever since she won that title. "Is that all you want to know?"

"Yes. Thank you." Rebekah tipped her head, indifferently. Before she turned around and leave, she paused when Caroline called out to her. "What?" Rebekah narrowed her eyes at them, suspiciously.

The blonde-haired beauty smiles warmly at her instead. "I'm glad Tyler is taking you to the Homecoming tonight." Rebekah's eyes flash with surprise. "He's a good guy. Please take care of him?" Tyler may not be her friend but she still cares about him.

Rebekah searches Caroline's face for a moment and her face slightly softens when she realizes that Caroline is being sincere. Princess Original nodded her head in response, turned around, and walked away.

Once the immortal Original is out of their sights. Bonnie turned her perplexed face at her vampire best friend. "What was that about?"

"Just being nice." Caroline shrugs, unscrews the metal cap of her thermos, and takes a healthy amount of blood down in her throat. The Bennett witch made noises with slight skepticism but didn't push her.

"Thank you, sweetheart." Kol mumbled, gratitude. He gently brushed the back of his finger against his darling vampire's cheek. He recalled how hard it was for Rebekah to have female friends when they were humans. How lots of girls were either using Rebekah to get close to her brothers or just right out mean to her.

The blonde-haired beauty hummed softly while controlling her shivers from the icy-cold touch that was left on her cheek. "I think she'll be happy when I give her necklace to her at the Homecoming dance tonight." Caroline thinks that is a perfect time and a good chance to make it right step into the acquaintance level.

"Anyways!" Caroline playfully wiggled her eyebrows. "You, my beautiful best friend, are going to get ready at my place?"

Bonnie snorted with amusement at Caroline's silly antic but nodded her head. "Of course, my gorgeous best friend." she bumped gently against Caroline's shoulder. The best friends exchanged glee and excitement smiling.

Kol's eyes soften with fondness at his girls.

Later...

There is soft music playing in the background along with light giggles and chatter from the ladies. Kol leaned against the wall with his arms crossed with a slight boredom yet intrigued glint in his dark eyes. "Must you all have to take hours to get ready?" he mumbled, incredulously. He is used to waiting and watching his vampire getting dressed up for a long time when it comes to parties or events.

However, it was worth it for him because, in the end, he gets to see the stunning result of his vampire's makeover.

Caroline is standing in front of the floor-length mirror, carefully adjusting her Tree of Life necklace as she wears pale-blue A-line spaghetti straps that stop below her mid-thighs, her back is covered with thin straps that end with a cute bow and silver ankle-straps heels. Her hair is styled in a lovely yet simple waterfall braid.

Meanwhile, Lexi is currently sitting on the edge of the bed as she is holding a small hand mirror to check on her make-up as she wears a red-wine off-shoulder lace mid-thigh dress, black round-toe pumps, and her long hair done in delicate crown braids.

Lastly, Bonnie finished the last touch with her hair while sitting on the cushioned stool at the vanity as she wears a sweetheart strapless lavender-purple dress that flares around her thighs, silver gladiator heels, and her hair is made in elegant curls that are loose around her shoulders.

The blonde-haired beauty smiles brightly at the reflection with satisfied and pleased. Her blue-green eyes shine happily which instantly caught Kol's attention. The Prince Original pushed himself from the wall, walked up close to her and left a trail of feather-like touches on her shoulder to her arm to her wrist. "You look stunning, love." Kol whispered, raw as his dark eyes filled with passion and affection. Caroline closed her eyes with a sweet shy smile when she felt the wintery-cold touch on her skin.

The phone rang interrupting their little bubble world. Caroline opened her eyes and turned around with confusion when she noticed it was her cell. She strode to the nightstand, grabbed her phone, and answered. "Hello?" her eyes widened in astonishment shocked as Lexi jerked her surprised eyes at her.

Kol and Bonnie didn't know what was going on.

"The gym was what?!" Caroline squealed in almost comedic horror.

Moment Later...

"Bloody hell." the wild Original raised his eyebrow high while watching the fire brigade blocking the area with a road-block. The entire ground was covered with water flooding from the gym. The sound of sirens wailing in the background. There are a lot of high schoolers in their suits and dresses while watching from the scene outside.

"Unbelievable." Caroline mumbled, stunned with wide eyes. Lexi scanned around with curiosity intrigued and Bonnie frowned with pity for her vampire best friend. The blonde-haired beauty had worked so hard to set up the Homecoming event for days and now it all ruined. "How can this possibly be happened tonight? Why?" Caroline whined, disappointed as her shoulders slumped.

Bonnie loops her arm with Caroline, offering silent comfort while Lexi gently places her hand on the young vampire's shoulder.

"Caroline?" Kol sent his irritated glares at the Lockwood hybrid who walked up to her. "What happened?" Tyler questioned, baffled with concerned eyes.

The blonde-haired beauty just made a noise from the back of her throat in response. Bonnie sighed and replied instead. "The gym is flooded."

"Obviously." Kol sarcastically said while waving his hand over at the display of the gym flooded behind him.

"What?" Tyler's eyes widen in shock.

Bonnie nods her head. "Dance is canceled." Caroline made sad noises once again while Lexi rubbed the poor distressed vampire's shoulder.

The Lockwood hybrid scanned around for a moment then he turned his gaze back to the sad blonde-haired beauty. "We can use my house instead." All eyes turned to him in perplexed surprise. "Let's have a Homecoming party at my place. It's big enough for everyone." he said with a charming half-grin.

The supernatural ladies exchange glances.

"Well, this would certainly be an unusual Homecoming party night." Lexi snorted with an amused smirk.

The transparent Original huffed. "Something tells me this is a night to remember." he commented, shoving his hands in his pockets.

Later...

"What the hell?" Caroline blunted it out in stunned as she arrived at the mansion with Bonnie and Lexi. The mansion was already packed with many high schoolers. There's a rock band playing in the garden and the buffet tables are prepared indoors. "How did he plan a better party than me so fast?" the blonde-haired beauty said, shocked.

Bonnie examined around in surprise while Lexi whistled with impressed. "What?" Caroline tilted her head as her eyebrows furrowed deeply. "Is that a band outside? Am I seeing this? Is this really happening right of us?"

"Yeah." the dark-blonde vampire responds.

Prince Original narrowed his eyes cautiously when he noticed there were some people who were older and were not obviously high schoolers.

"Wait, who are these people?" Bonnie pointed it out, suspicious as she didn't recognize some of the faces at the party.

The blonde-haired beauty frowned. "This is so weird."

Before the ladies do something, a masculine voice calls out. "Ma?" Lexi's spine straightened when she heard a familiar voice. She turned her left to see where the voice was from. Her hazel-green eyes widen in pleasant surprise.

"Ray?" the dark-blonde vampire blinked a couple of times and realized that it was her adopted son right in front of him, wearing a simple yet nice tux. "Oh, Ray!" Lexi quickly stepped forward and Ray instantly wrapped his arms around her to his chest.

Caroline leaned to her witch best friend. "Did that man just say "ma" to Lexi?" she whispered, baffled and Bonnie just nodded, bewildered as well. Kol studied the man carefully with a contemplative glint in his dark eyes. "It is not unusual for vampires to adopt kids." he muttered, thinking about a certain boy who was taken under by Klaus' wings a long time ago.

Lexi broke the hugs, lovely touching his face with her palms with a big smile displayed on her face. "I have not seen you in a while." the older vampire tilted her head and studied his face. "You look well."

"I'm not scared of the moon anymore." the hybrid said, full of relief and content. Lexi's eyes started to glossy, when was the last time she heard such true happiness from her son? "I finally feel free. And I get to have forever with you, Ma. No more dreading for my inevitable death of old age." Ray assures his adopted mother, gently. Lexi beamed at him with motherly affection glowing in her eyes.

Ray glanced over her shoulders and noticed two young supernatural girls staring at them flabbergasted. "Are these your friends?" he asked, curious.

Lexi shifted her gaze over her shoulders and grabbed her son's hand. She dragged him to the best friends. "Girls, this is Ray Stutton. My son." Lexi squeezes his hand with maternal love. "Son, these two lovely ladies are my friends. Caroline Forbes and Bonnie Bennett." the dark-blonde vampire introduced her friends and her son to each other out of politeness.

"Oh..." Caroline smiles warmly at the hybrid. "Nice to meet you." she and Ray shook hands. The blonde-haired beauty thought it was kind of weird to meet a man who is Lexi's son when they both are practically the same age. However, she could easily see how much Lexi truly loved Ray as her son. It's a very strong mother love that is glowing in her eyes. The hybrid shook hands with Bonnie as well.

"It's very nice to meet you both ladies." Ray said, gentlemanly and turned his gaze to his mother. "Ma, let me introduce you to Klaus."

Kol didn't expect that news while Caroline gasped in shock and Bonnie was taken aback. "Wait—" Caroline held up her index finger with a disbelief face. "Klaus, as in the Original Hybrid, is here?" she asked, just to be clear. Ray slowly nodded his head with a slight confusion glint in his eyes.

"Well shit." Lexi blurted it out with a blink.

The Prince Original snorted humorlessly. "Pretty much sums it up in this situation." he dryly said.

The rock band exploded their energy on the stage as they took the world by storm, causing the audience to cheer loudly. While the hybrid gently leads his adopted mother by her hand through the crowd of partyers. Ray scanned around for a few minutes until his eyes landed on a certain target he had been searching for. He hurriedly made a beeline while dragging Lexi behind who gracefully avoiding from bumping the partyers.

"Klaus!" Ray called out, catching the immortal Original's attention.

Klaus' lips twitch to a smirk. "Well, if it isn't Ray." he greeted his Second-in-Command with a beer tipping at him. His blue eyes glanced over at Lexi who eyeing him warily. "And who is this lovely lady?"

"This is Lexi Branson. My mother." Ray informed his Alpha.

The Original Hybrid's eyes lit up with acknowledgment. "Ah, so this is the famous brave vampire mother who adopted a child werewolf." Klaus carefully examined Lexi. "I gotta say, sweetheart... that was very brave of you." he lazily saluted her with his beer.

Lexi displayed her most faux-politest smile at him. "Just couldn't leave him all alone." she said, coolly.

Klaus' smirk widened with a knowing glint in his blue eyes. He drank the entire rest of his beer and handed it to one of the random partyers who just grabbed it and walked away. "Now, if you both excuse me, I have an appointment to keep." he winked at them with a hint of mischievous eyes.

Lexi and Ray watch the Original maneuver his way through the crowd toward the stage where the live band is nearly finished with their song.

"He did not hurt you?" Lexi asked her son, just to be sure. She doesn't care that Klaus is an immortal Original Hybrid. She will kick his ass for harming her adopted son. Lexi is prepared to throw hands if she has to while looking fucking fabulous, as Lee always said.

Ray glanced at his mother with a knowing smile. "I am fine, Ma. Klaus made me his Second-in-Command."

"What does that mean, exactly?" the dark-blonde vampire narrowed her eyes with a puzzle. "Being a Second-in-Command?"

The hybrid crossed his arms while thinking of how to explain in words. The rock band finished their song which ended with their audience cheering. "Good evening everyone!" Klaus greeted the crowd before he stepped onto the stage. "I wanna thank you for being here with me to celebrate! It's been a long time coming!" then he continues his speech for a bit more.

"Basically, my job is to make sure to control the hybrids." Ray briefly explained, standing close to Lexi's side. "Where they are, what they are doing, and do what they are told to do. Stuff like that."

Lexi frowns thoughtfully while half-listening to the Oirignal's speech and half-listening to her son. "Like some kind of Captain taking charge of their soldiers?" she asked, unsure.

Ray lightly bobbled his head back and forth. "Kind of."

The dark-blonde vampire's lips pressed firmly together. "...I heard that Klaus' hybrids are all sired to him." she whispered, worried about Ray.

"You don't have to worry about that." he assures her with a glint in his eyes. "As much as I am grateful for Klaus that gave me the ability to never have to worry over the full moons... for some reason, I am not sired to him." Lexi jerked her head at her adopted son in surprise. "Klaus already knew that because he figured out the difference between me and the other hybrids."

Lexi glanced over at Klaus who gestured his arm over at the live band, after he finished his speech, letting the rock band take over the stage. "He's not upset?"

Ray shakes his head. "Not exactly. Bit disappointed but mostly fascinated. He thinks the reason why I wasn't sired to him was because you saved my life when I was a young lad." he explained, gently.

"And—" Lexi touches Ray's shoulder with warmth shining in her hazel-green orbs. "—I never regret it."

Ray beamed at his mother. He doesn't regret becoming a hybrid at all. Because he finally gets to have eternal with his mother and his immortal friends.

Music filled the air without effort as the sound rushed in and around every person in the room. Some react to the beat, others continue chatting, and a few dance along. It was loud and fun except Caroline and Bonnie are both having a bad feeling about this.

Kol followed close to his vampire and his mentee while observing the party with cautious eyes.

The blonde-haired beauty frowned at the red cup in her hand while Bonnie picked up the red cup from the drink table. "It was supposed to be punch, not beer." she mumbled.

"You mean a spiked punch." Bonnie flatly joked with a half-smile. Caroline snorted and sipped a beer from the cup. "So, when did Elena say that she was coming here?" the witch asked, curious.

Kol made a face. "Why care about that minger twat." he grumbled with arms crossed. Caroline scanned around for a moment until her blue-green eyes landed on a familiar face.

"Oh, there she is!" Bonnie turned her attentive eyes to where Caroline pointed. The blonde-haired beauty grabbed Bonnie's hand not unkindly and dragged her straight toward Elena who was standing in the middle of the foyer warily.

The transparent Original groaned and dragged his feet reluctantly as he doesn't want to deal with the annoying bitch. However, Bonnie halted as she stopped Caroline. "Wait." the Bennett witch squints her eyes at oblivious Elena with sharp analysis. "That's not Elena." she hisses with realization.

"You used your supernatural radar." Kol uttered, delighted and proud that his mentee was using her tool.

Caroline gasped in surprise, then carefully examined the vampire doppelganger who was pretending to be Elena. "How did you know?" she asked, not doubting her witch best friend.

"I used magic radar. Basically, I can sense those who are supernatural among the humans in the room." Bonnie explained with a proud smile on her face.

The transparent Original smirked at her. "And nothing can escape from your radar once you use it. It is a very useful tool, little witch. It is a shame that it's so underrated that not a lot of witches and warlocks use them." he said, calmly.

"That is so cool." Caroline commented, amazed. Then she looped her arm with Bonnie's. "I don't know why Elena didn't come here nor do I care enough to know about it. I do know one thing—" she held up her red cup with faux-solemn face. "—there better be damn good cupcakes on the dessert table."

Bonnie and Kol simultaneously snorted with amusement. "...I hope there's chocolate." two best friends wiggle their eyebrows at each other playfully and giggle as they excitedly leave the area to head where the dessert table.

The wild Original watches his girls with fondly. He loves how they never let Klaus stop them from enjoying the party.

Later...

The Bennett witch wrung her wrist as she sauntered down the corridor after she finished using the loo. Bonnie halted with furrowed perplexed eyebrows when she heard the noises close by. With caution, she walked toward the sounds and found herself at the doorway of the office.

Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw Demon and Tyler fighting. When the older Salvatore shoved Tyler against the wall, he grabbed a stake from the inner pocket of his jacket and held it up as he was about to stake the young Lockwood.

Bonnie instantly used her powers to inflict the pain on them. Damon and Tyler clutch their heads in agony. After a short moment of using her power, she decided to stop and watched them slump on the floor.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Demon snapped and stood up on his feet. He glares vexedly at the Bennett witch who stares at him coolly. "The fuck you thinking doing the witchy migraine me!"

The Bennett witch lifted her chin, boldly. "You nearly killed Tyler!" she waved her hand over at Tyler who darted his nervous and anxious eyes at them then quickly shoved himself off the ground and ran off out of the office.

Damon scoffed, unimpressed, and grabbed the white oak stake from the ground and put it in his inner pocket jacket.

"What is that?" Bonnie asked, suspiciously.

"Nothing."

The petite witch frowned at him. "I don't believe you for a second. That stake... it's different." she stated, leery.

Damon rolled his eyes. "Let's just say, it's something that only I can do because I'm the only one who can get inside the house." his icy-blue orbs scanned around as if making sure they were alone in the office.

"Damon..." Bonnie steps closer to the older Salvatore. "...what is going on here?" she demanded for answers. Damon examined her with intense contemplation and then opened his mouth to whisper the plan to her.

"Lexi? Wh-what's going on?" Caroline nearly squawked when Lexi grabbed her hand and dragged her inside one of the rooms. "Lexi?"

The wild Original was hot on their tails as he silently wondered what the bloody hell was going on as well. He was in the middle of playing poking with his vampire as they waited for Bonnie to return from the restroom. However, Lexi suddenly appeared out of nowhere, grabbed Caroline, and dragged her into one of the rooms on the second floor.

Lexi quickly walked toward the double doors, opened them, and stepped outside of the balcony. The dark-blonde vampire covered her lips with her index finger and moved it toward front of her. Caroline followed the finger and saw an older man standing outside of the door, staring calmly at Klaus.

Kol leaned forward but flinched back when he recognized his father. "Holy shite!" he did not expect to see Mikael in person. For the first time, he is glad that his father cannot see him. Suddenly, being a ghost is so nice.

The transparent Original stared at his father blankly. Unaware that his undead heart seems to suffocate him, his palms are sweaty and his stomach is in knots. His mind slowly clouded and his vision began to blur. His body was trembling and couldn't control it. Kol wrapped his arms around his stomach, starting to feel overwhelming. He didn't like this.

He hated this feeling.

This...fear.

Caroline straightened as she felt the sudden chills down her spine. She doesn't know how but she knows something is wrong with her ghost friend. The blonde-haired beauty frowned with concern and confusion. She turned around to leave but Lexi grabbed her arm with questioning eyes.

"Something is wrong with Kol." Caroline mouthed the words to an older vampire. Lexi tilted her head, perplexed but letting her arm go. "I'll be back." Caroline mouthing her as she assured the dark-blonde vampire.

Without thinking, the quiet Prince Original blindly followed his vampire back into the room. Caroline quickly left the room but paused when Bonnie found her. "There you are!" the Bennett witch lightly jogged toward her. "I need to tell you something."

"Can it wait?" Caroline asked with slight impatience.

"Why? What's wrong?" Bonnie frowned at her.

The blonde-haired beauty shakes her head. "I just need to talk to Kol privately." she waves her hand over at the open door where she just walked out. "Lexi is on the balcony. Watching Klaus and that man—"

"Mikeal." the petite witch interjected with surprise. "He's already here." Caroline blinked at her. "I'm going to join with Lexi. You'll return?" Caroline nodded her head in response. "Alright. See you in a bit." Bonnie hurriedly walked into the room and joined Lexi out of the balcony.

Caroline shakes her head. "Need to find that restroom." she muttered, worried about her ghost friend who hadn't said a word nor touched her yet.

Moment Later...

The blonde-haired beauty quietly closed the door and locked it. She turned around with a concerned frown in the empty bathroom. "Kol...I-I can't help but feel like there's something wrong?" she questioned, worried about her ghost friend.

Kol stood in the middle of the restroom as he could feel the inner fear, of the old little kid who was scared of his abusive father. A little kid who desperately wants to run away and hide. However, the wild Original closed his eyes as he forced himself to stay put. He focuses on his breathing, and gradually, the feeling of fear and panic begins to subside.

"Kol...you've always been there for me whenever I need the comfort." Caroline whispered softly as she walked to the counter. She easily jumped onto the marble counter and almost lazily lay her hands on her lap. "I'm here for you. True that I can't see you, and that I don't know exactly what is wrong but..." Caroline trailed off and held up her open palms with softened eyes. Silently gesture the Prince Original, offering her comfort for him.

The transparent Original opened his eyes halfway, turned his gaze to her for a brief moment then wordlessly strode to her. He stood in front of her, watching her as he studied seriously her reaction.

However, her face showed understanding and willingness. Kol slowly and lightly touches her palms with his fingertips. He watches the relief and hope sparks in her blue-green orbs as her body shivers at his icy-cold touch. Kol gently moved his feather-like touches from her palms to her wrists to her forearms to her shoulders.

Caroline closed her eyes and smiled, letting him carelessly touch her. The touch feels very gentle, so secure and so careful. Almost like he is touching her as if she is a precious delicate treasure. Unaware that her action made her ghost friend's undead heart skip a beat once again.

Kol's dark eyes soften with so much passion and love. His fingertips danced across her neck to her jawlines and her beautiful face. Touching her like this made him feel peace and serenity.

He felt the urge to embrace her, to hold her close and never let go. However, he knew he had to be content with the moment, because he couldn't physically touch her yet, but he didn't stop with the gentle caress of his fingertips against her lovely face.

Kol leaned forward, his forehead lightly pressed on her forehead. "Thank you, love." he barely uttered. Caroline slightly tilted her head, almost as if she pressed her forehead against his, to feel his touch despite how freezing cold it was to her and that she couldn't really feel the physical of her ghost friend, she didn't care.

Bonnie and Lexi held their hands together for emotional comfort while watching the scene below.

"Hello, Niklaus." Mikael stood on the porch, stared at the Original Hybrid who is standing inside the house behind the threshold.

Klaus smirked coldly at his father. "Hello, Mikael. Why don't you come in? Oh, that's right. I forgot you can't."

"Or you can come outside if you want."

"Or I could watch my hybrids tear you limb from limb."

The hybrids gathered outside on the lawn at the distance, watching Mikael while waiting for their Alpha's order.

The dark-blonde vampire's eyes quickly scanned the group of hybrids and was relieved not to see her son among them. When Ray informed her that Original Hunter had arrived, she knew that she had to put herself away in a safe distance with her friends. Bonnie watches the scene below them with a solemn face.

Mikael huffed with dry humor. "They can't kill me."

"True." Klaus nod his head, agreed with the Original Hunter. "But it'll make a hell of a party game. All I have to do is rub these two fingers together and they'll pounce." he held up two fingers, ready to snap.

The Original Hunter smirks humorlessly at Klaus. "The big bad wolf. You haven't changed. Still hiding behind your playthings like a coward. You only forget. They may be sired by you, but they'll still be part vampire. And they can be compelled by me." then a hybrid who had been compelled, pulled Katherine in.

Lexi glanced at Bonnie, surprised to see the brunette doppelganger. However, Bonnie shakes her head. "It's not Elena." she mouthed, grimly.

Understanding and anger lits in Lexi's eyes. 'So that's the bitch who betrayed Stefan.' she mused, now carefully seeing the infamous Katherine Pierce.

The ladies continued watching how Mikael held on the vampire doppelganger as a hostage. Klaus taunted and shouted at his father's bluff. Daring him to kill the brunette. The Original Hunter spat out cruel and heartless words to Klaus who refuses to shed a tear to give the man's satisfaction.

And that's when the chaos begins after Mikael stabbed a knife in Katherine's back and Damon who is about to take Klaus, when Stefan knocked his brother off of Klaus and held him down.

Mikael looked ticked off when he noticed the vampire doppelganger. He curses her name as she immediately takes out two wolfsbane grenades and smirks smugly at the shocked faces. "Kaboom." she threw them at the hybrids and ran off.

Klaus quickly grabbed the white oak stake, jumped at Mikael, and drove it through the Original Hunter's heart, which made Mikael burst into flames and die.

Lexi watches the Salvatore brothers with a thoughtful frown. When Klaus un-compels Stefan who had earned his freedom from saving his life. Damon already left.

Bonnie released a heavy sigh from her lips. "I'm going to find Caroline." she informed Lexi who nodded her head, understandingly.

When the petite witch left the baloncy. Lexi stayed, staring down until Stefan lifted his head and saw her. There is surprise, guilt, and sorrow mixed in his green eyes. The dark-blonde vampire just stared at him emotionlessly.

The soft knocking heard that breaks the peaceful bubble world. "Care?" Bonnie called out, carefully. Caroline blinked, slid off the counter gracefully, and smoothed her dress while walking to the door.

Kol leaned his side against the counter with his arms crossed. He silently sighed, wishing he could spend more alone time with his vampire.

"Bonnie? Is everything alright?" Caroline asked before she opened the door. Bonnie stepped inside with a grave face.

The petite witch bit her inner cheek for a brief moment, thinking about the occurrence that happened outside of the house. "Mikael's dead." she blurted it out.

Kol froze. His father is dead?

"Really? What happened?" the blonde-haired beauty questioned, curious. Bonnie starts telling her a short version of what happened.
