[QUEST COMPLETED]

[Dark Room]

Oh yeah, forgot about that, totally, but whatever, I'll get to that later, for now I think I've found a perfect spot for my base. A nice cave with lava pool, what could be bettter?

So, first things first, I need to illuminate it. To do so I dug out 2 tunnels for lava to flow. I don't want to spend charcoal for such punny things as torches when I have way better alternative.

Secondly I flatten out the floor so it's all the same hight. Organisation of my base is not the top priority but it's still there.

Ok, with that out of the way, I can finally make the most important thing: Tree Farm. It's actually easy to make, just a 6x6 square of dirt. But it needs a lot of space above, thankfully, that's not a problem here.

Now, I can finally progress through quests. Opening the book I open the completed quests.

[Dark Room]

[You want a mobfarm, ASAP. You WILL need it]

Gunpowder [1/1]

[Item Reward]

1 Loot chest

[Claim]

Oooh shiny! I claim it and open it immediatly.

4 Ender Eye

Well, that could've been worse, so I'll just throw them in the chest untill later. For now I need to start crafting.

Oh, I think I should explain how the craftong system works here: I can craft almost everything, however, the more complex the thing is, the more steps it requers to be crsfted. For example, a modern pistol, to craft it I need to first make a hull out of some metal plates(quallity depends on the material used), second I need to make all inner parts using also metal plates but together with tools like hammer, screwdriver, file and wire cutters. Ah, yes, I start to feel that vibe of gregtech, BUT! I can avoid all that unneccessary shit by usong machinery like autocrafters or something, they'll just need plates and energy which I find quite neat. Oh, and I can craft vehicles too but most of them already requier basic and advanced circuits which I have none of.

Well, enough of that, right now I need to make a stone furace, and to do that I need to combine wooden heat component(1 gunpowder and 8 wood) together with a block of dirt, and only then combine dirt furnace with 4 cobblestone gears. What a great crafting recipe!

Ugh, anyway, I can now use...

[QUEST COMPLETED]

[DIRTY]

Oh, yeah...

[DIRTY]

[A very basic furnace. It is a way less fuel efficient than a regular furnace]

Dirt Furnace [1/1]

[Item Reward]

1 Loot Chest

[Claim]

Yes yes yes! Claim claim claim! I open it quickly.

8 Piston

YEEEEEEES! Oh, so good, so good! This will come in handy soon.

Erm, anyways, where was I? Oh, right, crafting. First I make charcoal from logs for better fuel, while it's cooking I'm going to start building a normal mobfarm. First of all, I dig out a large room, with a long 2x2 tunnel connecting it to the rest of my base. Then in the tunnel, I dig out a 2x2 hole 6 blocks deep. After that I dig out of the hole back to the surface leaving 2x0.5 hole(I'm using slabs here) so I could access the mobs, and on top of the hole I place trapdors and open them so the AI of the mobs think that it's a full block and walk right into the trap.

Returning to furnace I see that all the logs turned into charcoal so I can now continue. Firstly I sear 16 cobble into stone to make stone casing and wooden combustion heater(it took also 1 wooden heat component).

What is it and why do I need it? Fairly simple: it has a ton of useful recipies such as flint into 3 gunpowder, a gunpowder into 3 blaze powder and much much more. The construction itself is also not complex. A casing in which the heater is placed, a block of air above which is surrounded by any blocks connected to its sidea and preferably a dropper above. And lever(or button) that will power the casing block. However, there's a little twist: each recipie has it's own HU(Heat Unit) consumption, and othe max HU depends on the casing. For oo7z5, stone casing has 600 max HU and gunpowder recipie requiers 860 HU. So I'm going to farm it the good ol' way.

After building the contraption I craft wooden spikes, decend down to the trap for mobs and replace floor with those. The neat thing is they always leave mobs on 1 hp while doing crazy damage. And with that I can now officially declare that the mob farm has been completed. Having ascended, I wanna see how well does this farm does so I run straight into the room, agro all the mobs and lead them right in the trap.

Doing the cycle a few more times I think this is enough. The loot I got is a lot of bones, rotten flesh, few almost broken bows, 17 gunpowder and 3 ender pearls. Ok, good for now.

Alas, back to important things: I'm going to build a huge-ass smelting furnace 'cause I wanna my precious iron ingonts. And for that I need shit ton of seared bricks, which requier grout to be fryed in the furnace and 9 grout need 4 sand blocks, 4 gravel blocks and 1 clay block. Sand and gravel are just hammering cobblestone but clay... there are 3 ways to obtain clay as of now: injecting dirt with water, putting dust in water and going outside to mine clay in the river. Guess it's bathing time...

A/N: Sorry, took me long enough but with my academic schedule being a little tense I can now write more. Once again, any activity motivates me to write, and I'm always open to criticism!
