Chapter 35: Bad to the Bone
Danny Fenton reunited with his High School friends for a He-Man and the Masters of the Universe marathon. "I thought Skeletor was bad to the bone but he wasn't too much in this cartoon." Tucker commented. "I prefer the comics or at least cartoons made after the turn of the millennium."
"They wanted kids to think the good guys always win." Sam grumbled. "The only victories Skeletor was allowed to have were from occasions he was fighting another villain. Against the good guys, even temporary victories weren't an option."
"So, if somebody made a cartoon about our lives as High Schoolers back then, the A-Listers would be replaced with people who were always punished for their bullying?" Danny jokingly asked.
"I don't care for as long as I'm paid one million dollars per season." Tucker said.
"Danny's classmates in such a show would be 'fictional' characters to avoid potential lawsuits, Tucker." Sam said.
"And the cartoon would have to be from the time before he met Princess Natasha." Tucker said. "She'd probably want one million per episode."
"I'd rather watch the 2002 He-Man cartoon." Danny said. "Too bad they didn't make the season with Hordak as the main antagonist."
"Yeah, it'd be good but I'd rather see She-Ra appearing in the cartoon." Sam commented. She liked female protagonists even when she hated their happy colors.
"One thing I never understood from those stories was He-Man's need to keep his identity a secret." Tucker commented. "Prince Adam is already a potential target of kidnapping and his family is already in enough danger for an eventual reveal to make things any worse."
"True." Danny agreed.
"If I were Princess Adora, I wouldn't bother hiding to transform." Sam added. "She's already an enemy of the Horde as both Adora and She-Ra."
Danny's cell phone then rang. "Natasha?" "Okay, I'll get ready. Bye."
"What happened?" Tucker asked.
"She's coming to Amity Park for another date." Danny explained. At that point, Sam already accepted she missed her chances with Danny.
