Chapter 36: What's Cooking?
Danny Fenton was nervous since he and his girlfriend were about to have dinner together. "I could have taken her to the Ritz, to the fanciest restaurant rich people go to, why did I agree to have our dinner here?" Danny asked.
"Are you ashamed of your mother's cooking, son?" Jack asked.
"No, Dad." Danny answered. "I'm afraid the food will be contaminated with ectoplasm."
"Nonsense, son." Maddie said. "I had your father seal everything before I started cooking."
"Speaking of that, I have to go to the lab to pick up something, uh... not related to ectoplasm." Jack said and ran to the basement.
"Is it too late to order a pizza?" Danny asked his mother, who looked at her watch.
"I'm afraid so, Danny." Maddie answered.
"Don't worry, little brother." Jazz tried to reassure Danny. "If it bothered Natasha that much, she'd have broken up with you a long time ago."
"In a way, it does make me feel better, Jazz." Danny replied.
Minutes later, Princess Natasha arrived. "Welcome back to Fentonworks, Princess Natasha." Jack Fenton eagerly said.
After they were seated, they started eating until the chicken somehow gained life and attacked them until Danny blasted it away. "Danny, where's the nearest pizza place?" Natasha asked.
"I thought of it as soon as my parents invited us." Danny replied and the two of them left.
They went to a pizza place where they ordered a large pizza with extra cheese and, to their surprise, Dash Baxter delivered it. 'Maybe I should have eaten the ectoplasm-infected food.' Danny thought.
"Here's your pizza, Sir." Dash politely told Danny and then turned his attention to Princess Natasha. "Your Highness."
"Thank you, Dash." Danny replied, still getting used to the idea Dash Baxter was no longer tormenting him.
"Don't mention it, Phantom." Dash replied. 'My boss is doing it to humiliate me, I'm sure of it.' The former bully thought. 'I knew I'd be humiliated after High School but I didn't think it'd be that soon.'
"You didn't know he was here, did you?" Natasha asked.
"No, Natasha." Danny answered. "I wouldn't have come here if I knew."
"Don't say that, Danny." Natasha told him. "That'd be giving your tormentor a final victory over you."
"True." Danny agreed.
"Pass the ketchup, please." Natasha asked.
"Sure thing, my Princess." Danny said in a joking tone.
After that dinner, Natasha returned to the Kingdom of Zoravia. "Natasha, did you really eat a pizza?" Queen Lena asked. "I expected something more romantic for a date."
"Could've been worse, Mom." Natasha replied.
"We should've seen it coming when she started dating an American." King Carl whispered to his wife.
