Time to answer the reviews:

Astelix: Good to know that you enjoyed the second chapter. Glad to hear that, and yeah they are best friends, they can bicker with each other, but they have so much trust with each other. It is exaggerated for Teddy since it is true in canon and I wanted to give him flaws, and they will keep coming. It will begin the Next Chapter, so look forward to that.

After the defeat of the 'bully', in which they weren't even scared of in any way possible, and them getting to meet an AI that seems to be having free will, they decided to get to know more about Flame tomorrow since it was extremely late, 11 PM and they really didn't want to worry their parents/grandparents, which made Seigen kinda sad to hear about the last part of the sentence.

They all said their goodbyes for today, or that night, well all except for Flame since he was in Theodore's duel disk so he went to the silver-red haired boy and went to their home. They parted their ways for the day.

Theodore opened the door and smelled some dinner that his grandparents made or at least bought when they went out so he could eat when he came home. Flame and Theodore looked at each other before heading to the kitchen.

He placed Flame on his table and opened a bento box that they bought for their grandson which was an ekiben. It had disposable chopsticks, rice, grilled fish, fish cakes, pickles. Theodore picked up some chopsticks and got some. It was placed in his mouth and he chewed it and took it. It was good for him and it really melted in his mouth.

He placed some in chopsticks and gave it to Flame to which the Fire Ignis looked at him like Theodore grew some heads. "Theodore, the only thing I eat is data and I can't eat anything else. I don't think I even have a digestive system."

"Oh." Theodore nodded as he put the food in his mouth. "Sorry."

Flame shook his head, "Don't worry about that Theodore, at least you aren't selfish." said Flame.

After a few more minutes of Theodore eating ekiben, with his grandparents walking in on them talking, which resulted in him trying his best to make it sound like it was a very advanced way of a video chat, which they were surprisingly okay with and went back to sleep.

After he ate the bento boxes, Theodore put them in the drain and then began cleaning them, which he and the Fire Ignis had a small conversation about improving his skills as a duelist, since while it was good, but enough to defeat the leader of the Knights Of Hanoi?

Not really.

They did talk about ideas on how to improve his skills like challenging his friends on a mostly daily basis, which would be interesting since they still dueled like they used to and getting to get used to his newest deck, which he was shocked at hearing that he was basically storing a new deck inside of his duel disk, but he was too tired to not even talk about it.

After the silver-red haired boy was finished with washing the bento boxes, he placed them in the dryer next to the drain, and then went to his room. He placed Flame near the window so he could have a nice view of the sky and then went to his closet, the one holding his clothes, taking out some parts of his clothing.

He then took the clothing and went to his door, "Where are you going, Theodore?" asked Flame, confused where he was going.

Teddy looked at Flame with a weird expression, "Uhm…going to shower?" he said as it was the most obvious thing.

"Why would you do that?" he asked as Theodore looked at him like he asked him a hard math question.

"Wait, so you researched how humans talk and how they can trash talk, even about movies, but never learned basic hygiene?" Teddy asked him as Flame shrugged his shoulders.

"I never thought it would be necessary since no one in the Cyberse ever had the obligation to do any of the basic hygiene that you talk about." said Flame as Theodore looked flabbergasted.

"Looks like me and you have something to learn during our journey." he said as he turned the handle of his room.

"You mean, you and I, right?" Flame asked as Theodore rolled his eyes.

"Sure if it makes you happy. I am just gonna take a shower, you…watch the skies if you would like to." he said as he opened his door and closed it. He then went to the bathroom and took a shower.

Flame decided to take his partner's advice and decided to gaze upon the stars and his yellow eyes were lost in the beauty. It couldn't be described in his words. It was… the most beautiful thing he has ever seen.

The combination of the beauty and the emptiness of the empty, seemingly with no end, void black combined with the ocean like blue colour that was like he was remembering back home in the Cyberse with his own friends, with even the black void looking like his friend the Dark Ignis. The stars in the same sizes of the Light Ignis had colours ranging from the orange like the Earth Ignis and even the green from his good friend the Wind Ignis.

It was like they were with him, even without them being with him in this specific moment and time.

It was also quiet, but not in the creepy way, but in a way that was soothing and easy on the ears. He didn't even notice Theodore coming in the room, turning off the lights and went to sleep, since he couldn't stop sleeping, and besides, Ignis, not including the Dark Ignis, don't need to sleep.

He looked at the endless beauty of the sky and to his partner, and he wished that he had a smile on his face to show that he genuinely liked being around him.

He only wished he could be with him without any danger along the way, but they would know that it will come sooner than later.

In SOL Tech

In the company that was popular with its AI, the mass production of duel disk and supply machines for cooking, cleaning and all of the sorts and even the popular Network System by the name of Link VRAINS, which stood for Virtual Reality Artificial Intelligence Network System, stood there a man in a room that had 5 chess piece, but only the Rook was active.

The man was a fair skinned man that was in his mid twenties. He was taller than most adults with broad shoulders. He had dark blue hair on the top, but teal on the bottom with blue eyebrows. He had pink eyes. He wore a white shirt that was underneath his dark blue coat, with a blue jacket over his coat and shirt with a small black tie, with blue trousers with black shoes.

He is the current security manager, which was a role in SOL Tech that is highly respected and one other person could be security manager which almost no one liked at all.

He was also a former bounty hunter that worked against rogue AI while working with two more people alongside him which were the names of Ghost Gal and The Shepherd. He only had nice thoughts about the former rather than the latter for good reasons.

The man also has a younger sister which he deeply cared about and was heartbroken ten years ago with 2 horrible accidents almost back to back which put an insane amount of stress on him.

Back on the subject, the man looked at Rook, one of the most respected people in SOL Tech. "So, do you have any information about the Ignis, Zaizen?" asked Rook as Zaizen nodded.

"I do have information, Rook. From our scanners, it has been informed that the Fire Ignis has found a duelist, but due to them being so far away, it is difficult for us to pinpoint the location of the duelist, not to mention they don't have an account in Link VRAINS." said Zaizen in the most serious voice he could say it.

"After 5 years of searching, you are telling me that it has escaped!?" yelled out Rook, but Zaizen wasn't phased.

"I didn't say it escaped, Rook, I said that we can't pinpoint the location of the duelist. It could be possible that we can get to the duelist since someone like Playmaker doesn't have an ID. It will be difficult, but I could think of some ways to lure them in." said Zaizen.

"Well, the important thing is that you can actually lure them in. The Ignis is an extremely valuable thing to us and it has access to the Cyberse. Something that could upgrade our company to new heights that no one could ever see before." said Rook as Zaizen nodded.

"I understand that the Ignis are extremely necessary for this company, and I do have an idea to lure them in." said Zaizen as he looked at the chess piece.

"You have our permission to use them in any way you want, but we need to get it as soon as possible, before the Knights Of Hanoi could get to them." said Rook as Zaizen bowed to the chess piece.

"I understand sir." he said as the meeting room went down and he was all alone. He opened the door and closed it. He thought to himself, "I really don't want to exploit you, Skye, but I have to do this for SOL. At least you will have fun doing what you love most."

Meanwhile with The Knights Of Hanoi

Two figures appeared in a location that only the Knights Of Hanoi have access to as the figures were revealed.

One of them was an 18 year old boy who was a leader of Hanoi, the son of a respected scientist and the person who swore to destroy the Cyberse, Varis.

The other was the right hand man of Varis, the second strongest member of the Knights of Hanoi. He was a fair skinned boy that was around the same age as Varis as he had silver hair and round blue eyes. He was slightly taller than Varis. He wore a white shirt with black highlights, white jeans, white shoes and a white coat with dark blue highlights.

"Master Varis, have you found out about the Ignis' location and where it is currently?" asked the gray haired boy.

"No, I haven't Specter, but I did hear about it being in a different town and is with his duelist, so we only have to find the duelist, duel him for the Ignis and win." said Varis as he thought about one of the kids that were in the Lost Incident, but it couldn't be one of them since the stats really didn't match up.

One of them is close to him, one of them is currently dueling against his organization and he didn't see an Ignis, one of them, while popular, from what he, or more specifically Specter saw since he is the biggest fan of her, doesn't have an Ignis with her, one of them is in a mental hospital and from what he has learned, couldn't talk to anyone other than his older brother, and the other two he learned that one of them stopped dueling all together and the final one didn't really get much information, but from the way he acts towards anyone else that weren't his friends, it wouldn't make sense for him to have an Ignis around him.

"I understand, Master Varis, but how should we know if the person has an Ignis with them?" asked Specter.

"They can't mask themselves when they are in other people's duel disk from the way we saw the Fire Ignis running away from us, and if we found someone that is similar to that, then we shall know about that duelist." said Varis as Specter nodded, "Even if there was a massive group of people, our cameras are much more advanced so even if they are hidden, we should find them."

Specter nodded once more, but he had a question since he continues to see someone challenging them and keep on winning against them, "What should we do with the duelist known as Playmaker? He is trying to interfere with our plans with destroying the Cyberse."

Varis scoffed, "Him? Let him, he is nothing more than a nuisance. Sure he can't be tracked at all and is trying to stop us by defeating our men, but that doesn't matter with our plans in the slightest. If he had Cyberse cards then I would have thought about stopping him, but now? I don't think so." he said as Specter once again nodded.

"I understand," he said.

The Next Day

It was the next day for our heroes, and like before, they decided to go to the lighthouse like they usually do to talk about the Link VRAINS situation and the Knights Of Hanoi, but not before learning about why Flame is being tracked down, even though he doesn't have the most accurate memory on why.

They learned that he wasn't the only Ignis, as he was only the Fire Ignis, and they learned that 5 other Ignis were also created at the same time, but he was the only one to escape and find someone, so the other Ignis are in the Cyberse, which he explained to them to be his home, his place where he can create new monsters and relax with his friends.

Which was the reason why he began speaking about the Ignis, "While they are 6 of us, I think I should talk about the one that is the leader of us, called the Light Ignis. You see-"

"Wait, sorry to interrupt you." stopped Seigen as he looked at Flame, "Does he have a name or is that his actual name? Because your name is Flame, right?" The Fire Ignis nodded. "Then shouldn't he have the name?"

Flame crossed his arms, "Well, we call each other what their attributes are and it is because we Ignis can call each other with ease rather than a human could. I named myself after looking through your culture while I was in Theodore's closet," the boy in question rolled his eyes, "and I decided on it because of its Kanji having different meanings and because I think it sounds cool."

"Okay, I guess that makes sense, but shouldn't we give them a name?" Kiku rubbed the back of her head, confused about the naming convention. "It will be awkward for us to call them like 'Light' or 'Earth'. You know what I mean?" Her best friends nodded with them while Flame nodded as well.

"I understand your confusion and I too would like to give them a name other than their title, but I am afraid that they wouldn't like the names that I gave them, especially the Dark Ignis." said Flame as he rolled his eyes as he thought about the Dark Ignis.

Theodore rubbed his chin, "I guess that makes sense. Go ahead."

Flame nodded as he continued, "Like I was saying, the Light Ignis was the so called the leader of us due to his immense intellect of even surpassing some of the greatest scientists in history and his ability to create artificial life like those two…I am gonna be straight forward, annoying AIs of the names of Bit and Boot."

"Why are they annoying?" asked Kiku.

"Well one of them tries to sound as smart as he wants and the other sounds like a New York mob." said Flame as the three 'ahh'ed. "But despite him being our leader, he rarely if ever shows up. He says that he runs simulations about our future, but never said anything about it. No one even knows about his deck."

"I am questioning your guys' decision on making that guy your leader if he doesn't even show up." said Seigen as Theodore and Kiku nodded at the same.

"Yeah, kinda sounds like a terrible leader in my opinion."

"Does he at least care about you guys?" said Kiku and Theodore one after the other.

"He chose himself as the leader, and to answer your question, kind off. It's complicated." said Flame as he shook his head, "But anyway, let's go to the other Ignis. The Dark Ignis is…" Flame sighed, "the Ignis that I care about the most."

"Why did you sigh?" asked Theodore.

"It pains me to say this, but he is the one I care about most. I don't why that clown shoe wearing, jestering fool, horrible at basic math fool is the one I care about the most." Flame said as he took a breather as his partner and his two friends looked at each other weirdly. "But I do know that he is surprisingly a good friend to have despite his constant remarks and the way he does show genuine respect to others…even though he has the patience of a child."

"Oh, kinda like Seigen, right?" Theodore said with a grin on his face as Kiku tried her hardest to keep the laugh inside of her.

Flame looked at the brown haired boy, but he only saw the face that said "I can't even fight back against that one."

Flame snickered, but continued onwards, "Yeah exactly like Seigen. Back on track," The three looked at the only AI here, that wasn't Kiku's duel disk, "I think I have to speak about the Earth Ignis, and despite him being anti social-"

"Like Seigen," Theodore said as Kiku and Flame chuckled as Seigen looked at him.

"Like you are one to talk Mister-I-Skip-School." he said as Flame looked at his partner.

"You are skipping your education?" the Fire Ignis asked him as he sweatdropped.

"Yeah?"

Silence.

Flame took a deep breath, "You are never going to skip your education when I am around, you understand?" he said as tiny fire appeared on his hands.

Theodore reluctantly nodded as his two best friends were whispering something out of the lines of "Deserved."

He ignored them.

"Back on track, even though the Earth Ignis is not very skilled with communication, he is still one of the nicest Ignis you will ever meet as like your culture would call him a 'Gentle Giant' even if he is brutally honest with everyone. However, Earth, even when he tries so hard to tell us that he doesn't have feelings for, has a crush on the Water Ignis." said Flame, shocking everyone.

"Wait, what?"

"You guys can have crushes?"

"I didn't expect that."

Flame nodded, "For your information, we were also shocked that something like that was even possible for an Ignis to have a crush on another. Speaking of the Water Ignis, she is the only female Ignis and she is second in command of the Ignis, and the second smartest of all of us, but isn't as cruel as Lightning, in fact she is the nicest one out of all of them."

"Soo…a mom friend basically," said Kiku.

"You took the words out of my mouth, Kiku." said Theodore.

"Yeah, holy crap." said a nodding Seigen.

Flame raised a finger to go against that, but put it down when he realized that they were correct in that phrase.

"Well anyway, time to talk about the final Ignis, also known as the Wind Ignis." they looked at Flame, "He is…the only that I can't describe. Not that he is bad in any way, he is just hard to describe. He is somehow more of a jester than the Dark Ignis and he speaks faster than all of us combined, but he does have the best control of making places in the Cyberse than anyone else." he said as the Fire Ignis was finished with explaining his friends to his partner and his friends.

"So…basically the Cyberse consists of an AI that made himself the leader, a clown, a mom friend, a socially awkward dork, John Moschitta Jr. and you." said Seigen as Flame nodded.

"Sounds like a sitcom in the 90s." said Kiku as Theodore nodded.

"I would watch that." he said as the rest nodded, that did sound interesting, but he shook his head, "Okay, so we understand the other Ignis and the Cyberse, but why are the Knights of Hanoi after you?" asked Theodore the question everyone wanted to know about.

Flame crossed his hands to think about it, but sadly, he didn't have an answer. Not even the slightest clue. He doesn't even remember what the leader of the Knights of Hanoi looked like.

"I am sorry, but I do not know anything about the Knights of Hanoi or why they are after me. It's something that is impossible for me to explain." said Flame as everyone clicked their tongues.

Great, the only person that could give them a clue to fight against the Knights of Hanoi, doesn't have any ideas about them. They aren't blaming him for that, it's perfectly fine, it's just frustrating.

"Well how do we suppose that we could fight them?" asked Theodore as his best friends had no clue as they were quiet the entire time, but then a notification was heard from Kiku's tablet in her school bag, since she wanted to give the homework to Theodore for skipping school.

She brought it to her and her eyes widened at the notification. "Guys look at the news SOL Tech published!" she said as they all looked at her tablet and read the news.

It was an event on Friday after school, so around 15:00 in which two of the most popular Celebrity, or also known as Charisma duelists, came to Link VRAINS and dueled anyone they wanted.

Link VRAINS is the most popular Network System on the planet which allows anyone with any type of duel disk, in which it is instantly installed when you purchase the duel disk, so they can duel around the planet and watch the most popular duelists duel anyone. It was also made to cover up anyone's identity from the crowd because they can change how they can look in VRAINS rather than in real life.

It did have a weird side effect on anyone that went to Link VRAINS, which knocked them out and when they log off the system they wake up, which raises a few questions about the safety of the System, but they digress.

In the Network System there were 2 types of duels: Master Duel and Speed Duel. Master Duels are duels that make duelists stand the entire duel. It has 5 monster slots and 5 Spell and Trap zones, with the added Field Zone for everyone. It also has a Main Phase also have a starting hand of 5 cards. The only reason why they aren't as popular as Speed Duels is because they don't have skills.

Speed Duels are types of dueling that use Data Storms that are from the Cyberse and let the duelists ride on hover boards that are connected as soon as they land in the data that everyone can customize. It has a smaller field, with 3 monster zones and 3 Spell and Trap zones while they can have a field zone, but their hand sizes are reduced to 4 cards, and you can not have a Main Phase 2.

They have things that make them different from Master Duels and that are Skills. They can be used on your turn, your opponent's turn, or either/or and only once. They can help you by drawing an extra card, adding a monster from your graveyard or deck to your hand, gain attack points or even life points. Anyone can make up one, but they do have to make it fair so no one can have an effect that says "Draw 5." It also makes some parts of your body, the lining, glow when you activate it.

In Link Vrains, duelist that make pretty much their living out of Duel Monsters are called Celebrity, or Charisma, duelists and the two of the most popular ones are Blue Angel and The Gore.

The number two most popular Celebrity duelist was someone by the name of Blue Angel. She was a fair skinned girl with dark blue hair with two pigtails which were connected by a blue ribbon which on the top was hair the size of a blue heart, not to mention her entire hair also had light blue highlights. She had purple eyes. She also has a green clover sign on her left chin. She also wore a blue choker. Not to mention she wore pink heart earrings.

She wore a white sleeveless shirt with a blue necktie with the ends being that of dark pink, but underneath it was a light blue dress which was dark blue at the bottom, with dark pink highlights on them. She wore dark blue leggings that reached above her knees wearing dark blue and baby blue shoes with wings at the back with a purple clover sign on the front. On one of her hands was a blue duel disk with the top being pink and around them being in hearts which had a deck inside of it, it was an old duel disk compared to the ones that you manually get the cards you need to get. Lastly, she has wings at the back of her body that have a pink shaped heart and a purple clover sign on each of them.

Not only was she popular by her ranks and her duel score, an impressive ratio of 40 wins, 8 loses (most of them were from the number 1) and 0 loses, but was popular due to her immense following with fans all over the world, which she dubbed the "True Blue Crew" which one of Theodore's best friends were. She played a Trickstar deck which was a deck that just loved to spam out monsters and deal effect damage on every turn of the duel.

"Uh…who is she?" asked Theodore as he rubbed the back of his neck, "I have never heard of her in my entire life."

Kiku took offense to that, "You don't know her?!"

"Not particularly."

"Not really, but I would like to learn more about her." said Theodore and Flame at the same time.

"You made it extremely clear the last time we watched one of her duels on your TV." Theodore looked at Seigen, "Relax dude, it was when you were sick."

"Oh, sorry."

"It's fine Teddy."

"How could you- oh yeah." Kiku bit her lip, she did kinda forget that he was out of dueling for 10 years, so it makes sense that he doesn't know her. "Well in short, she is the second most popular duelist in Link VRAINS and with her skills, how couldn't she? She is the most awesome duelist ever, and I am the 4th biggest fan on her fan site."

"Wait, if you are number 4, who are 3, 2 and 1?" asked Flame as Kiku looked at the names.

"Someone by the names of TreeLover, Akira'sFutureWifey and TheBraveBattler." she said in confusion those names and realized how weird they are.

"Okay, but who is number 1?" Theodore asked as they all looked at Kiku's tablet to reveal the number 1 Celebrity duelist in Link VRAINS.

The Number 1 duelist in Link Vrains is a man by the names of The Gore. He was a tan skinned man with a massive build, which they were for sure confident that they could grind meat on them, and his abs were covered by a golden armor of some sorts. His hair was in a flaptop style with a yellow colouring scheme with red highlights and on the bottom was brown hair. He wore golden earrings. He has dark yellow eyebrows and blue eyes while having a dark chin beard.

He wore a collar that was connected with his golden animal head shaped necklace. He wore a greenish gray jacket with yellow lining on them which on the other side was dark red acting like a cape. He wore a golden ring around his bicep on his left arm. He wore golden gauntlets with black fingerless gloves. He wore a golden belt around his abdomend. He wore jeans that were greenish black and purple. He wore golden boots that were also black in some areas.

He was the number 1 duelist in Link Vrains, but wasn't as liked as Blue Angel and he was kind of brash and ready to duel anyone that dueled in his way in which results in him getting too cocky for his own good, but he did mean well as he was a good guy. He played a Gouki deck which was a deck that rarely plays Traps in order to play as many Spells and monsters and with their effects, he is rarely if ever in a situation without resources.

"He should get a shirt." That was all that Theodore could say about the Gore making them snort from that comment.

"...yeah, he really should." said Seigen as he nodded.

"I am surprised that he doesn't get a cold whenever he duels in Link VRAINS." said Flame as he took a deeper look at the Number 1 Celebrity Duelist.

"Just so you guys know, there are several pictures and even interviews outside of Link VRAINS, and he looks exactly like that." said Kiku as everyone looked at her, sans Seigen as he already knew about that.

"What?! You mean he didn't even try to change his look in the slightest and he actually looks like that!?" Kiku nodded when Theodore said that. He clapped his hands together, "You mean to tell me that he goes around public, casually without a shirt, looking like he just went to WWE with that coding like hair cut?"

"I am afraid so," said Seigen as both Flame and Teddy were flabbergasted by that.

"How is he not arrested? Or at least questioned by the authorities?" asked Flame as Kiku and Seigen shrugged their shoulders.

"Beats me." said Seigen.

After a few minutes of them asking the logic of a man that is shirtless everywhere he goes with that horrible haircut, a lightbulb appeared on their heads.

They looked at each other, "You guys thinking what I am thinking?" asked Theodore as the rest looked at each other.

"Probably not, but I feel like it has to be about the fight against the Knights of Hanoi." began Seigen as he placed his hands under his chin, "Be there when that event happens and we log in, and challenge the Knights of Hanoi?" he asked as Theodore nodded.

"Yeah! That's the idea to fight against them." he said excitedly as Kiku nodded.

"Oh I think I get why you would think about that plan. Since there would be a lot of people during that event, it has have a lot of people including some members of the Knights of Hanoi, and since we kinda have ideas about how they look, we could challenge them in a duel." she said as Flame thought about that plan.

"I don't think that could work. I mean it is possible, but shouldn't there be a much simpler idea?" Flame thought about an idea as the rest thought about a simpler idea until he thought about an idea that could honestly work, "I got it." he hit his palm with his other hand, "How about one of you challenge Theodore in a match, Speed or Master Duel, and so the Knights Of Hanoi could see me in his duel disk and your deck so they would know that I am with you and would cause them to challenge us."

"That's…honestly a great idea, Flame." said Theodore as the rest nodded with the idea of the Fire Ignis, "It could help me with getting better at the game while we are dueling them, and they could see us as an actual threat to them."

"Yeah, I have to agree that would be a great idea, and honestly, I am itching for a reason to beat Teddy to the ground when we duel." said Seigen as Kiku looked at him, but then looked away as she kinda did want to beat him.

"And we could have the time to watch their duels after we are done." she said as the rest nodded as it would be fun to watch their duels.

"Alright!" the silver-red haired boy clapped his hands together, "I can't wait to duel them with my Fire Warrior deck or even with my old Lav-"

"Wait."

"Hmm?"

"Are you sure you want to play with those cards? They aren't bad, but are you sure you want to use them to duel against them and even the leader of the Hanoi?" asked Flame as they were confused on what he was talking about.

"I mean, yeah? Do you have a better deck for me to use?" asked Teddy as Flame nodded, shocking some of them.

"Why yes I do, in fact, I have it on your duel disk right now. It is the deck that I created during my time in the Cyberse so I would like to give it to you as a token of our partnership. It will be more consistent than your older decks have ever been before." said Flame as they were confused about what he said.

"Okay, but how do I get it if there is a deck inside of the duel disk?" asked the silver-red haired boy.

"Why take out your deck and see what happens." instructed Flame as Theodore took out the deck and to their shock appeared a deck out the data inside of it, and there were monsters in the Extra Deck.

He took the deck slowly and the Extra Deck as he and his best friends looked at it while Flame was patiently waiting. They were called the Salamangreat and they were Fire monsters with the…Cyberse type? Maybe those are from the Cyberse as well.

The monsters weren't anything special as they were Level 4 or lower, with some exceptions, with decent attack points, but their effects are something else. They revived themselves from the graveyard, gave themselves boosts, able to get cards quicker and the Spells and Traps are almost broken.

Adding a monster from the deck, adding an extra card from the graveyard or the deck, a near omni negate, cards that shuffle cards into the deck and many more. The Link monsters also had a weird mechanic of using themselves as the entire Link Material, but they did have great effects to go along with it when they are used like that.

"I am so jealous that you are getting all of those cards for yourself." said Kiku as Seigen nodded with Theodore grinned.

"Yeah, same. I mean come on, some of those cards could be used for other decks, or my deck." said Seigen as their best friend shrugged his shoulders as he closed his eyes.

"Don't blame me, blame the owner." he said as he looked at Flame, "Are you sure I can have this fully to myself?"

"Well of course you can, as long as you don't sell them to anyone or trade them for other cards," Seigen snapped his fingers, as did Kiku but more jokingly, "You don't have to only use them. You can take them out and put in any card that you think fits."

He nodded, "Great! I can't wait to show these babies to everyone in Link VRAINS!" he stood up with these new cards in the air.

"Great man, but uh. Question?" He looked at Seigen.

"Yeah?"

"Do you have an account?" he asked as a line of sweat ran down on his face when he said that.

"You have an account on Link VRAINS, right Teddy?" Theodore gulped.

Flame took a deep breath as he closed and opened his eyes as fast as possible, "Please, Theodore, my partner, the person that I trust the most, the person that I gave out the most important mission, tell me that you have an account to fight against the very people that we are about to fight in a matter of days, a very limited amount of time to prepare for a battle against a group of people that are trying to kill me."

Theodore opened and closed his mouth several times, but ultimately, couldn't say anything about that.

He sat down as they face palmed.

"Of course."

"Why did I expect more?"

"Oh for Cyberse's sake."

"Look! I didn't even know about Link VRAINS until today! Don't blame me!" he said as he tried to ignore the looks.

"No, no, no, we understand. It's just…" said Seigen as Kiku finished for him.

"...we thought you would think about having an account."

"Are there ways of getting an avatar so no one could tell that he is him?" asked Flame as he looked at the two.

"Yeah he just needs to draw himself and then place it in the same place as the graveyard." said Seigen as Theodore shot up.

"Really, it's that simple?" asked Theodore as his best friend nodded.

"Yeah, just tell us when you are finished." said Seigen as his male best friend nodded. The silver-red haired boy looked at the person that he definitely didn't have a crush on.

"Kiku, can I use your equipment, I…kinda forgot mine." he rubbed the back of his head as Kiku sighed.

"Yeah sure, just return it back when you are done." she said with a smile as he returned with a smile of his own.

"Thanks! You two go and…talk about something new." They nodded as they began a conversation on how excited they are for Demon Slayer's 3rd season and how they can not wait for it to come.

Theodore drew the character, as Flame gave him suggestions which he liked so he added, and he began colouring using red. blue, yellow, orange, green and some shades of black, with the help of the only AI in the friend group.

He asked his friends for their thoughts about his avatar's name, Soulburner, and while they did think it was a bit cheesy and kind of silly, they liked it since it made sense why he would be named that.

It was meant to be a fire in his soul that could never stop burning no matter what happened to it.

"Alright, everyone. I am done with my avatar!" Theodore said as his friends looked at him as he places the paper in his duel disk, slowly.

"No you dingus!" Seigen stood up as he grabbed the paper and smacked Theodore upside the head. It wasn't painful in any way possible, but it was shocking.

"Why did you hit him?" asked Kiku as Theodore looked at the brunette.

"Because of him." He pointed at Flame.

"Whatever do you mean?" Flame tilted his head in confusion.

"What I mean is because if anything from what we have heard from the Knights Of Hanoi, they will track us down and get to you to our location, and hell, maybe even SOL Tech will get to us." said Seigen as they thought about it, and they realized what that meant.

"So how do we fix this?" asked Teddy as Seigen sighed.

"I will have to hack our duel disks so not one person can track us down." said Seigen as they looked at him.

"You can do that?" asked Kiku in shock.

"Of course, it isn't my first rodeo." said Seigen as he rubbed his chest and then breathed on it in a cocky way.

"Since when can you hack?" asked Theodore as Seigen looked at his silver-red haired best friend.

"Couple of years ago when I had to…" Seigen looked sad when he tried to explain, but he couldn't explain the real reason why he learned to hack, "I…I don't want to go into details."

They nodded as they could tell that he was uncomfortable when he said to them.

"I do have one more question." Seigen looked at Flame.

"Hm?"

"How long will this take?" asked Flame as Seigen did some calculations in his head, but he looked at Kiku.

"Do you have an avatar in Link VRAINS?" he asked as Kiku tried to remember, but then she nodded.

"Yeah, but I left it in my house, hopefully Kiki hasn't destroyed the paper though." Kiku mumbled the last part as Seigen nodded.

"Okay, two duel disks to hack…that will take me… 24 hours maximum." They all looked at him, shocked that he did all of the math in that short amount of time, for someone that isn't an AI, "Do you have your duel disk with you?"

"Yeah, yeah, give me a second." Kiku went through her bag and took out her new duel disk that had no deck slot and it was baby blue. "Here." she said as Seigen grabbed it and Theodore's duel disk.

"Okay, I will go back to my home to fix these duel disks, and you guys do what ever you guys you want to do, like I don't know, go on a date?" he said with a smirk on his face as their faces turned into crimson red.

Kiku tried her hardest to find an excuse against that, but then had an idea, "I can't, I have to babysit my neighbor's son, sorry Teddy." she said as Teddy didn't seem upset.

"Nah, it's fine. I have to look at this deck after all, so I guess it's fine." he said as he also tried to find an excuse.

"Yeah, it's fine." she said with an awkward laugh as Seigen and Flame shook their heads.

Saying something along the lines of "So dense/so dense."

Theodore then heard something from his pocket and he took it. It was from his flip phone and he looked at the message, "Oh, my grandpa is telling me that lunch is ready. Well, time to go everyone."

Flame looked at his phone, "Wait, why do you have a flip phone?" he asked in a scared voice.

"Oh he broke his last 5 phones." explained Seigen.

"Yeah, he is really bad with technology." said Kiku as Theodore looked at them.

"Hey, you know I am here, right?" he said in an offended voice.

Suddenly, Flame felt much safer with Seigen rather than with his partner.

They all left the lighthouse to do their own things with Seigen hacking their duel disk with him and Flame talking about how Kiku and Theodore are so dense with each other, Kiku babysitting her neighbor's son and Theodore watching Pain's Assault Arc while fixing his deck in any shape or form.

The Next Day

Theodore woke up and as he remembered the small threat of his partner with fire, he decided it would be a good change to go to school since he hasn't gotten any information from Seigen nor Kiku about his duel disk. He went to the bathroom, took a shower, brushed his teeth and changed into his school uniform which was the same as Seigen's, but with a red tie.

He ate breakfast with his grandparents, which was the same rice and fish combination with eggs on the side, and went to school earning a few, "Wait he is alive?" "I didn't know he is enrolled." "Finally after months he came back." which was rude since he was there last week, granted only 3 times, but still.

He met up with Kiku, who was also shocked that he got there, which he sighed at, but asked about Seigen, which she didn't know about, but they thought it would take him a couple more hours which they can try to make it seem that he was there for him…

…only for him to run in class only half way through the first period with bags under his eyes, a crazed smile on his lips like he drank 5 energy drinks at the same time, a slightly messed up uniform, it wasn't a massive deal though, and Flame trying his hardest not to be seen in any shape or form.

It definitely made the two silently laugh at their best friend who looked like someone robbed him, but judging by how he looks right now, it wasn't likely. He excused himself saying that he overslept, but the teacher didn't care as she smoked right in front of the class, which they didn't think was legal in any shape or form.

They are shocked that this school isn't shut down.

Seigen walked up to his best friends and gave them their duel disks, "Here." he said with a lazy smile as he sat on his chair.

"Thanks, man."

"Yes, thank you." they said to him, but he then fell right back to sleep.

After the end of the first period, they decided to take the piece of paper with their avatars on them and placed them right where the graveyard slots were and there was a line on the duel disk, on the side for Theodore's and on the top for Kiku's that said, "ID CONFIRMED. AVATAR CONFIRMED. WELCOME TO LINK VRAINS SOULBURNER / FROSTGIRL."

Theodore, Flame and Kiku, not Seigen as he kept sleeping, looked at each other and grinned, well not the Fire Ignis since he doesn't have a mouth.

Step one against the Hanoi is done.

And done. Sorry for the wait everyone, I needed to write 2 chapters for my GX Rewrite, I hope you guys don't mind that.

So what can I say about this? Well I decided to make some changes to the canon, making some small nods to the dub, since I really love the dub if you can't tell, and I decided to have some fun with these characters. I needed a way to make it so Theodore can not be tracked in any way so I decided to make Seigen the hacker.

I have to tell you that Blue Angel isn't going to be an important character, sorry guys, but she wouldn't fit in this story, but in Season 2 she will be with a little change in canon. The same thing can be said about Playmaker, sorry guys.

Next chapter it will be a battle against the Hanoi, and I can't wait to write that duel. I have already planned the decks for Kiku and Seigen.

I have two questions:

Should Theodore play Flame Bufferlo? Since that is a Fire Cyberse monster that could help him.

What should Seigen's Link VRAINS name be? I am thinking something like Tornado, but what do you guys think?

If you guys have a suggestion for Salamangreat monsters, I would like to hear them!
