5. Pain And Gain

Star-Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Thanks and I really hope that you will like my future chapters. I plan on making one here, since I answer reviews before writing, so I really want to write one.

Ken Valbranduh: Sorry, but I truly want their first interaction in Season 2 to be more epic since it would feel less impactful and he doesn't have his Cyberse cards like in canon.

Astelix: Hey, there is no problem at all, I am glad to get a review anytime. Yep, and I can't wait to write the duels about him, granted it is going to be hard for me, but I enjoy that. I had to make sure that Reincarnation is his biggest gimmick in this. They aren't going to appear a lot of the time, but when they do, either with SOL Tech or with Akira, I do plan on making them watch the Season Finale. They are going to have their own season, after the Ignis War arc (My favourite Arc in Yugioh).

After the duel against the Knight Of Hanoi, and after his victory, Soulburner quickly became one of the most massive stars of Link VRAINS, which wasn't expected and was quite shocking that this was all because of one duel with them.

Heck it didn't even become a day later, no, not even an hour later they logged off Kiki kicked the door opened, which made another argument between the older sister and the younger brother how he can't barge into her room like that, but after about 5 minutes of them arguing, and being yelled by their grandma for the second time that day, Kiki can't stop talking about how awesome Soulburner was and how much of a Hero he was, wanting to meet him in real life, making Seigen, Theodore and Kiku chuckle at that.

After an hour and a half, and several plates of sweets later, they all had to go to their home since it was getting late. Seigen and Theodore waved goodbye, Flame also did that, but in the form of an emoji. While they were talking about the 5 Kage Summit Arc in Shippuden, they all saw several interviews and talk shows about him.

They stopped at the store that sells TVs and they all looked at the TVs all having something related to Soulburner. They even had some news articles about him, in an hour.

The Internet is such a fast place.

The two best friends all looked at the titles that were, 'Who is Soulburner?', 'What kind of deck did the new Pro Duelist from Link VRAINS, Soulburner, use and why is it not in stores?', 'Why did Soulburner duel the Knights Of Hanoi?', 'Why are the Knights of Hanoi so interested in Soulburner?', 'What was that small being on Soulburner's duel disk?', 'Does Soulburner have ties with SOL Tech?', 'Why can't Gore stop talking about Soulburner?', 'Who was Blue Angel's saviour? Was it her guardian angel?', 'What is the Cyberse?' and many more.

"Looks like you are famous, Teddy." said Seigen as he kept looking and looking one that wasn't about him at all, but almost to no avail as he glanced at his best friend, "Don't get your head up your ass just because you are now popular."

"I won't , but dear god, it's been…" Theodore looked at his flip phone to see it was 18: 56. He did some math in his head as Flame answered for him.

"Almost 4 hours, Theodore." he said quietly as the silver-red haired boy took his flip phone back to his pocket.

"4 hours, thanks Flame." said Theodore as the Fire Ignis gave a thumbs up emoji. He was getting quite used to the art of modern style of communicating, the same can not be said for his partner though.

"It has been 4 hours and they kept talking about me like I am Abraham Lincoln brought back from the dead." said the silver-red haired boy as his brown haired friend looked at him.

"Or Theodore Roosevelt." said Seigen as Theodore chuckled at that little joke. It wasn't a funny one, but a charming one.

Flame, on the other hand, looked confused as he never heard of either of those two, "I am sorry, I don't quite understand. Who are those two people you talked about?" he asked as the two looked at each other.

They did forget that, while the Ignis are extremely intelligent species and are one of the most powerful and intelligent species on the planet, they really don't know much about human culture, which was fine.

"Well, Abraham Lincoln was an American President that freed the slaves after the Civil war in 1865, but was killed in a theater," explained Theodore as he quite liked learning about the history of the USA, despite it being messed up in most areas.

"And Theodore Roosevelt, who Teddy was most likely named after-"

"Can confirm, my dad loved hearing about him and was inspired about him so he named his son, me, Theodore. While my mom wanted to call me Takeru, named after my great grandpa."

"-and he was an American president that was one of the most liked because of how much he cared about the national safety of his country." explained Seigen as Flame understood why he was one of the most important American presidents, "Not to mention he was a badass."

"How so?" asked Flame as Theodore explained why.

"Dude was shot by a revolver, which was stopped by a copy of his speech, and not to mention, he had the balls, the gull, to say that, and I quote, "I have just been shot, but it takes more than a bullet to stop a bull mouse."." he said as he looked at Flame when he said that as Flame's eye was widened when he heard that.

"Oh my Cyberse. I need to do more research on him." he said as he shut his eye, trying to find more information on Roosevelt.

"Can't say I blame him."

"Neither do I." said Theodore as they continued to look at every one of these TVs. "Christ, I have been there for about 30 minutes and I already the biggest star here." said Theodore as he kept looking.

"Are you at least proud of it?" asked Seigen as he raised an eyebrow.

"Well, kind of, but honestly, if it was like one, I would be happy about it, but this is just overkill," said Theodore as he looked to see at least one that didn't talk about him.

They looked at a TV that showed something like a Japanese sitcom, which was a breath of fresh air as they tried to watch it, "Soulburner is more than a hero, he is also a hunk!" said the younger girl.

"Oh for God's sake!" said both Seigen and Theodore at the same time.

"If he was in the alphabet, he would be G for gorgeous!" said the younger girl as the older one sighed.

"Ugh, you fell in love with an avatar? For all we know, he could be U for ugly." said the older woman as she closed her eyes. (A/N: Should I start writing 'Actual Dub Lines' whenever I write these? Because I swear I didn't add that in.)

Seigen looked at Theodore, "I mean…she is kinda right." he said with a small grin on his face as Teddy looked at him.

"Oh screw you." he said with a smirk on his face, he knew it wasn't personal. He looked at the TVs and tried his hardest, his damn hardest, to find a single, just one, little TV where it doesn't talk about him.

He never knew that being popular was a down side, but here he is, hating every second of this. He gritted his teeth, just trying to find one TV that isn't talking about him, but he couldn't find one.

Flame appeared from his duel disk, "Hey, did you know that Roosevelt once saved a bear that was tied up in a bear hunting game, because he found it unsportsman like to do that, so that's the reason why Teddy Bea-"

"CAN THEY JUST STOP TALKING ABOUT ME?!" yelled Theodore as he coughed into his hand as he could feel everyone staring at him weirdly and with slight fear in their eyes, "I mean, Soulburner." he chuckled as Seigen snorted.

"Nice save," said Seigen.

Flame was quiet, "Looks like I found you in a not so welcome mood, so I will go back to my duel disk." he said returning to his duel disk.

"Wait no- I didn't mean-" he dropped his head in shame as Seigen laughed at his best friend's misfortune.

"The pain of being a celebrity, huh?" asked Seigen as Theodore nodded with his best friend.

He looked at him, "Lo-look, can we please go home already? I am pretty sure my grandparents are worried sick." he asked as Seigen as he nodded.

"Yeah, sure." he said as the two best friends walked to their home, but broke once Seigen was at his apartment, and then Theodore went home, placing his bags on the floor and Flame close to the windows since he can't stop admiring them, and decided to watch some My Hero Academia before taking a shower and go to bed.

The Next Day

It was now the very next day, aka a Saturday after the duel against the Knights of Hanoi, and Theodore quickly hated being popular as there were several forums, videos, talk shows, and even a damn theory all about him.

There were also some fan clubs, an entire Instagram profile all about him, which he was shocked by, and even merchandise, that he didn't give consent…or even got paid for it. They need to stop.

Flame, Theodore, Kiku and Seigen all looked up everything about something new about Soulburner, which two of them loved giving him shit for, Flame being interested, and one being annoyed by the entire thing.

Kiku was scrolling through her tablet as they all looked at several videos on Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Tiktok, you name any popular Internet Social media, they wanted an interview with him, all with thousands of videos.

"It was one duel." said Theodore as he grabbed a tiny piece of his hair and ripped it, "Can they just shut up about me and let them talk about, I don't know, Blue Angel?" he asked, praying to some god that were was a way to get out of this mess.

"No, we love bullying you." said Seigen with a smirk as Flame was quiet the entire time, looking interested the entire time, slowly, but surely, learning more about the human culture.

"Actually, there was a slight change going on with Blue Angel and some recent news during the Knight's outrage in Link VRAINS." said Kiku as she typed something in her keyboard as they all looked at her while she was doing it, and once she was done, it revealed images of her and some random duelist with red, pink and yellow hair, "It's about a duelist, Playmaker, I think? Anyway, they keep talking about something that is called, 'Angelmakershipping'? Whatever that is."

Somewhere a certain blue haired boy with purple highlights and a girl with brown hair that was a bob cut both sneezed at the same time.

"What does shipping mean?" asked Flame as Seigen and Kiku stopped and bit their lip.

Theodore looked at them, "Yeah what does it mean?" he asked since he wasn't knowledgeable about the internet.

They looked at each other, trying to think up something that they could say about this, but they really can't say it, since how do you say: Its when you put two or more characters, that you think should go together, into a relationship and write stories about them and or draw about them, sometimes including real people, without sounding creepy as hell?

Seigen opened his mouth, but closed it.

Kiku bit her lip as she tried to sound as realistic as possible, "It's when you want to have two or more people…" Seigen looked at her, with frantic eyes, "...on a boat."

"What." Seigen looked at his best friend.

"Oh, I get it, so that's what you mean by the words of Shipping, I understand." said Flame as he nodded with his partner also nodding.

"Yeah. A bit weird and specific, but I get it." said Theodore as they continued to look at something that isn't about him.

Inside, the two best friends took a massive breather, "Oh thank Christ."

After a few minutes, they continued to look at something about him, and he will take anything that isn't a video about him, even a boring interview. "Hey look, this looks interesting." said Kiku as they all looked at the channel by the name of Frog And Pigeon.

It usually stars two people, Frog and Pigeon, as well, a frog and a pigeon, trying to find some duels to record, usually to no success. They were there so kids could watch it for the hilarity of their pain and suffering. It was 100% on her recommended page because of her little brother stealing her tablet when she isn't looking, like any younger brother would, and watch those shows.

"And those are?"

"Frog and Pigeon, one of the most popular comedy duos on Link VRAINS." explained Seigen as Theodore looked at it for any traces of him and sighed in relief.

"Okay, but why are they popular?" asked the silver-red haired boy.

"Well, it's because of how much they fail to even get a single trace of one duel. If it's because the battery was too low, I didn't press record or similar things to that. They had filmed one duel correctly, but it was shaky that no one could tell what was going on." explained Kiku as she was still shocked that those have any positive reviews at all.

"Let's check it out before we fight some Knights." said Theodore as the rest nodded, what was the worst that could happen?

"Gosh darn it! I tried looking everywhere for him, but I just can't find him!" yelled Frog as he was on a roof top, trying to find one of the most popular people right now, "Where is Soulburner?!"

"GOD DAMN IT!" yelled Theodore as he went around the lighthouse as the rest tried their hardest not to laugh at his reaction.

After a few minutes, he calmed down and they continued the video.

"Yo, Boss! I have some good news!" said Pigeon as he landed on one of the railings, "I have some great news, infact!"

"Yeah, what is it?"

"I have found Soulburner! Or at least 4 of them," said Pigeon as his eyes went up as the rest looked at Teddy, but he only shrugged his shoulders. He turned around to see 4 Soulburners that Pigeon found.

"Well one of them has to be him, and our ratings and pay checks are going off the roof!"

"And what about me, Boss?" asked Pigeon.

"Oh! Well, you get…10% of it." said Frog as he nodded.

"That doesn't sound fair…or legal at all."

"Shut up and film one of them!"

"Okay, fine." said Pigeon as he turned around to see one of them, who was taller than Theodore, but less physically great than him.

His costume was on part, but the language wasn't exact, "Dobar Dan svima! Moje ime je Soulburner i ja sam ovdje za moj intervju! (Hello everyone! My name's Soulburner, and I am ready for my interview.)"

Pigeon and Frog looked at each other before yelling at him, "Scram, you are not him!"

"Okay, dobro! Kreteni. (Okay, fine! Jerks.)" said one of the Soulburners as he logged off.

"What language was that?" asked Seigen as Flame answered it.

"Croatian, and before you ask, us Ignis can speak pretty much any language we hear so it isn't a problem for us." explained Flame as they kept watching the video.

The other Soulburner was more physically greater than the last one, but even the actual Soulburner! And like the other one, he also spoke in a different language. "Hola. ¿Cómo estás? ¡Me llamo Soulburner!" he grinned at the end.

"That's not him. Scram!"

"What about him?" they turned to one of the Soulburners which was actually physically perfect as the real one, but there was one problem.

"Hi. I a…he real Sou…ere is my inter…" he was extremely laggy.

"He should get a better graphic's card."

"I have to agree. Scram!" they turned to the final one that Pigeon brought, but this one was smaller, thinner and much younger than the real Soulburner.

"I am the real Soulburner! I am here to defeat the Knights Of Hanoi…and those icky cooties." he shivered at the end.

It was official.

That was a child.

"Where are your parents?"

"Yeah, where are they and how old are you? You sound like you are 8! Scram and think about what you did!"

"Okay, fine!...dang adults and their stupid rules." said the final Soulburner as he disappeared.

Frog and Pigeon looked at each other and then to their camera, yelling at the same time, "Where are you Soulburner!?"

They were quiet as they finished watching the video, and they tried their hardest not to laugh at that situation. "Okay, I have to say something. That is god damn hilarious." said Theodore as he tried to not to laugh at the situation.

"Yeah." Seigen chuckled, "How bad was that graphic's card on one of them?" he asked.

"Absolutely damaged. You have to drop it to a 5 story building to get it that damaged. He must have knowledge of a child." said Flame as he cringed remembering the horrible graphic card of that one kid.

"Or Teddy's." said Kiku as Flame and Seigen bursted into laughter as Theodore looked at her, offended.

"HEY! I am here, you know!" said Theodore as Kiku chuckled.

"Yeah, of course I do. Why else would I say it?" she asked.

"Maybe because you are my friend?"

"Friends bully each other all the time, don't think we are special." she said as Seigen muttered.

"You know damn well that isn't the case for him." he said as Kiku looked at him with a blush as Theodore looked at him confused.

"That's not true."

"Oh yes it is, and we all know it. Well all except Teddy."

"What does he mean by that?" asked Theodore as he looked at Flame, to which the Fire Ignis sighed.

"Dense as a rock." he said under his digital breath as he looked at him, "They mean, being more than friends."

"And that is?"

Seigen and Flame face palmed.

"You picked him of all people? To have feelings for?"

Kiku gripped her hands into a ball as she took out her tablet and placed it in her bag. "Look can we just go fight the Knights Of Hanoi?" she asked as the rest stood up, well Teddy picked up Flame.

"Yeah sure in my house this time." Theodore said as they went into his house, took off their shoes and went to his room. They sat on his bed, or bean bag in Seigen's case, and then say at the same time, "It's Time To Link Into The VRAINS!" they said as they went into Link VRAINS.

Meanwhile In Den City

The Gore, or as he is known outside of Link VRAINS George Gore, has been furious for the past few hours. In the middle of an important event in Link VRAINS, some Knight Of Hanoi summoned a massive black mechanical like dragon in Link VRAINS, destroying everything around them and large parts of the network so only a small portion of it could be accessed by the public until it is finished.

That wasn't the only problem though, there was also a new kid in the block, or more specifically a new duelist in the server, that shows up out of nowhere, duels the Knight Of Hanoi and defeats him in two turns, which while impressive for a beginner like him, or at least what he thinks that he is a beginner, and has a brand new type that no one has ever played up until that point.

If it was a fake one, the duel disk and the system would not have showed anything at all and might have straight up banned him from logging in, but no this one fit the bill perfectly enough for him to play this 'Cyberse' deck.

Not only that, but all of the attention was on him. Everything! Future interviews, forums about him, news articles, everything! It was getting infuriating!

Now George was usually a calm guy, heck even when he is mad at someone, he doesn't outright harm them in any way. His emotions are usually well put together and he truly does have an extremely soft spot for children and the things that bring them joy, dueling, but something about Soulburner that made George extremely mad about.

Maybe that it was his carefree attitude of his when he dueled him, or how cocky he was the entire time, or maybe how all of the spotlight was all on him even after beating only one Knight Of Hanoi. It was infuriating!

Just today, he felt the need to go into Link VRAINS to teach that punk a lesson, but he stopped himself, and tried to be a better man, afterall he was a role model to someone. Or more than just someone, they were children.

Children in the orphanage whose parents either left them there for adoption or whose parents sadly died in an accident or by sickness. He was the same as them, a person that lost his parents to a sickness in a very young age, which made his childhood much worse than the regular kid, but to the other kids, he wanted to help them.

To be there where they needed the most. He will be their hero and he didn't care what he needed to do to make them happy and save them from the darkness. That's not all that he would do for the kids.

All of the money he gains from being a Celebrity Duelist, he takes some of it for himself for water, food and electricity, but everything else? Straight to the orphanage so they can have a better childhood than him, which always gave him a smile on his face.

Currently, he was at a warehouse where he lived which was near a beautiful ocean view of Den City. The warehouse itself was big for only one person, but at the same time, didn't act like a normal house.

It had a kitchen, with a small mini fridge that had some protein bars and shakes, a stove, a cooler, some utensils, some plates, some glasses and everything else that a kitchen needs, a bathroom, with a shower, a sink with only one red toothbrush with a mirror on the wall, a toilet, a washing machine and a dryer, but his living room, which you need to walk down the stairs to even enter, or what should be known as his personal gym for his massive size and stature.

It had a long purple couch, which was one of the ones where you can fold it so it could be like a bed, with a black blanket and blue pillows around it. On the wall there was a massive TV on the wall, with a purple TV remote on a table with a chair so he could have something to eat on it. Around it were weights so he could powerlight and get his amazing stature and a treadmill so he could comfortably run in a long amount of time so he doesn't get tired. Around his living room was a god damn wrestling style arena, with a bell on top with chairs on both sides.

On his wall was his most prized possession. Not his deck. Not a framed of him holding a cup that says '1# Celebrity Duelist' and not even a cup. No, it was a belt made out of paper mache that had an angry face on it, with golden lining on it, as around it were blue and red coloured cloth on the sides with golden stars in the middle of them. It was created as a gift from the kids once he became the number 1 Celebrity, or Charisma, duelist.

No words can describe how happy George was that day when he got that prize, but today wasn't a good day. It was officially a day after Soulburner went up and dueled one of the Knights Of Hanoi, and he was everywhere.

George lifted the weights, did a small squat, lifted the weights, held it for a few seconds in the air, and once he was done, he went up and dropped the weights, carefully so he doesn't break his duel disk or anything else, "Damn it!" he cursed under his breath as he took a bottle of water and chugged in one go.

"Easy there, Gore, I understand your frustration, but I think a nice, calming, aromatherapy will change that." said his manager, Alfred, who moved from the USA to Den City when he was 16 years old. He was a middle aged man with brown hair and a mustache. He wore a red suit with yellow buttons and lining with a black bowtie.

"How can I?!" said George as he placed his bottle of water on the table and grabbed his remote. He activated it, "Look at this! All day it was only about this child who got a crazy new rare deck, and they just can't shut up about him!" he said as the pictures kept showing Soulburner all over the internet.

"The worst part about it, is that they kept talking about him, and not The Gore!" yelled George as Alfred looked at him.

"Gore, again, I understand your frustration more than anything. Some new hot shot duelist appeared in Link VRAINS and they won't stop talking about him, there were millions of them, and he will fade into obscurity." said Alfred as George sighed, "Don't forget that you are the number 1 Celebrity Duelist, and nothing will change that."

"Well, I want to show it to him why I am the number 1 Celebrity Duelist!" said George as he gripped his hand into a ball.

"Yes, yes, I understand, but you must know about the new changes about Link VRAINS, don't you?" asked Alfred as he nodded.

"Yeah of course, most places in Link VRAINS have been shut off due to the attack of the Knights Of Hanoi and the higher ups of SOL won't stop until they are defeated." said George.

"That's right, and there is a limited amount of space in Link VRAINS, you can find him in a duel, and to that, you must master Speed Dueling since from what we have seen, that's his main speciality." said Alfred as George was quiet for a few seconds as then he heard a limousine park near them.

"Who is that?" asked George as he turned his eyes to see a woman with brown wavy hair with green eyes wearing a business suit. She walked over to the back seat, but fell over. After a few seconds she stood up and opened the door, revealing Zaizen.

"Thank you, Hayami." said Zaizen as Hayami gave him a thumbs up with a visible blush on her face.

"Who's that?" asked George.

"I have never seen before as well, so I don't know as well." said Alfred as Zaizen began approaching George.

"Mr. Gore, is it?" asked Zaizen as George nodded when he heard his last name. Zaizen then had a small smile on his face, "Hello, I am Akira Zaizen. I am the chief for SOL Tech."

"Oh, I see, so what does SOL want with my client?" asked Alfred as Zaizen, or more known as Akira, looked around.

"I'll be honest, I didn't expect your home to be so primitive then I expected, but I'll cut to the chase. SOL Techs wants you to do one job for us." said Akira as George narrowed his eyes.

"What is that job exactly." he said as Akira cleared his throat and looked at George.

"To defeat Soulburner and capture the Ignis." said Akira as George's eyes shut up when he heard that.

"What is an Ignis?" asked Alfred as Akira looked at the manager of The Gore.

"It's an AI created by SOL Tech, but why it was created and any other detail is classified, so I can't tell you anything else I am afraid." said Akira as he looked at the number 1 Celebrity Duelist.

"Why do you want me of all people to do something for your liking?" asked George as Akira looked at him with a serious look so he could know that he wasn't joking around.

"It's because you are the Number 1 Duelist in Link VRAINS, not to mention with a deck that is created to defeat the opponent in one turn, or as it is commonly called an OTK." explained Akira as George nodded with every word. "And from looking at everyone else in Link VRAINS, excluding me, SOL Tech and the Knights Of Hanoi, you are one of the two people that I trust could do the job done."

"Is Blue Angel the other one then?" asked Alfred as Akira shook his head.

"Not quite, I do trust her abilities as a duelist and she does earn the right as the Second Strongest in Link VRAINS, but I can not allow her to duel against Soulburner, for her own safety." said Akira with his expression not changing in any way.

George crossed his arms, "Then who is it if Blue Angel isn't one of them?" asked Gore as Akira's eyes narrowed.

"The Shepherd." Gore's eyes widened when he heard that. Is he really sending out the best bounty hunter in Link VRAINS to get the Ignis from Soulburner? That's overkill!

"The Shepherd? The duelist who is known to cause devastation whenever he is hunting down an AI?" asked Alfred as Akira nodded, "Your company must really want that AI really badly, huh?"

Akira nodded once more, "Yes, we do. Though SOL Tech did create the Ignis, due to many things going wrong over the past years, its hands are now in the possession of Soulburner, and it is natural that we want our property returned to us. But alas, our efforts have attracted an unwanted element. The Knights Of Hanoi." said Akira with venom in his voice, but he hid it quite well.

"They are after the same AI program, or Ignis for simplicity sake, and we will stop at nothing to get our program back to us and if it falls to their hands, Link VRAINS will be destroyed," Akira said as he narrowed his eyes, "That's why SOL Tech wanted me to hire you for Soulburner and the Ignis for your skill and expertise. If you succeed, we will pay you handsomely, and more than enough to help the children in the orphanage that you like to go to." George's eyes narrowed when he heard that. "So, will you work for us?" he asked.

"I must say that is a great deal, Gore, I think that you sho-"

"No." simply said George as he cut off Alfred as Akira looked at him, his expression not changing in the slightless. "It's insulting that you think that I am going to work for a company like yours! So get out, suit and tie." he said as Hayami walked over towards Gore.

"How dare you talk to Akira like that! Oh, I am going to teach you a lesson about manners, you son of a bi-"

"No, it's fine Hayami. I understand." said Akira as Hayami looked at him, but then returned to the limousine. "If that's how you feel, then I shall go." said Akira as he turned around, but he noticed a belt that was made out of paper mache.

"I couldn't notice your belt," they all looked at that belt as George looked at him, "It's charming, but I feel like you wouldn't mind trading it for an actual champion belt, but you will get it if you have the right friends for it. Remember, you can always come back." he said as he walked towards his limousine with Hayami already in her driver's seat.

"Ignore him, Gore, he is trying all of this to test you," said Alfred as George sighed.

"I know that, but there is only one reason why I haven't done that." he glanced at the picture of the kids and smiled. He shook his head, "Anyway, I am going to continue training." said George as he went to one of the weights.

The Next Day

George came out of the car that Alfred drove with, and in his arms were presents. Some had toys, some new cards, duel disks, DVDs of shows and movies that they like to watch, some comic books of famous superheroes from the USA, manga and anime.

He spent the later part of yesterday, buying things from a store so the kids can enjoy them while he wasn't there, and while it is taxing to do this almost every single day before he goes to the orphanage, for him it is all worth it to see their smiles on their faces when he brings things for them.

"Kids! I have something special for you!" yelled George as he walked towards the orphanage, expecting a couple of kids opening the door and running towards him, sometimes getting out his feet with their speed, but this time, it was different.

Not one kid opened the door. Strange, maybe they were sleeping? I mean he couldn't blame them, it was 9:00 on a Sunday, a time where most people would be sleeping this time around.

"Strange…maybe they are asleep?" George asked himself as he went towards the door and opened it. If they were sleeping, he would just place the presents on the floor, and he will just sit on a chair waiting for them to wake up, which shouldn't be a big deal since he has all day to wait for them and he brought his phone with him so he doesn't get bored.

However, when he opened the door, he heard noises at the playroom so he continued to walk in, "Kids! I have bro-" his eyes widened and he dropped his presents on the floor at what he saw on the TV and what they were drawing.

It was Soulburner. He gritted his teeth and gripped his hand, but decided not to give in, and try to look for any other reason. "Hey, kids. So what are you watching?" he asked them as they turned around with their newly drawn pictures, all featuring that new kid instead of him.

"Oh, Gore! We are just drawing this awesome new guy, Soulburner!" said one of the kids.

"That's nice, but him exactly?" he asked as they all looked at him.

"Because he is awesome!"

"A sweet person."

"A hero to us!"

"I drew this with my markers." said one of the girls, as she remembered all of those markers being wasted and how much time it took her to draw that.

George tried his hardest to look angry at even thinking of Soulburner, or even sad that he got the colouring sticks while he got the marker situation."What about me?" he asked as the kids looked at him.

"Oh, you are cool, but we think Soulburner is cooler."

"More awesomer."

"I bet he is even better than you in dueling." said the kids as George nodded, while he bit his lip.

He stood up, "I understand, and if you want to, there are presents for all of you to open." he said as he left the place. The kids looked at each other, as if they thought they had done something bad to hurt him.

He went to Alfred's car and opened it, "That was quick, did something happen?"

"Drive to SOL Tech for me," said George as he avoided the question.

"Why, what happened?" asked Alfred.

"Just…Just drive, I don't want to answer the question."

Alfred nodded his head as he started his car and went to SOL Tech.

At SOL Tech

Akira was sitting down in his office, with hands under his head with his eyes closed the entire time. So far, there were no Knights Of Hanoi in the past few hours, which was good, but they were all cleared by either Soulburner, Stormrider or Frostgirl, which he was on the flip side, he didn't know if that was good or bad.

That wasn't the reason why he was contemplating on something. He was thinking of someone that he had to hire for the Ignis, the man that he worked with and had a personal grudge with after he quit being a bounty hunter, The Shepherd.

Hayami walked in with a cup of coffee in her hands and placed it on his deck, "Here you go, mister Zaizen sir." she said with a visible blush on her face.

"Thank you." he said as he took a sip of it and then looked at the person who entered into his office, it was the Gore, "Ah, so I believe I understand why you are here, am I right?"

"Yes, you are, and I will do it." said Gore as Akira raised his eyebrows.

"And what has changed your mind in the course of less than 24 hours?" Akira asked as Gore gritted his teeth.

"That is classified." said George as Akira nodded, not wanting to go into his personal reasons why he wanted to hunt down the Ignis.

"Alright, I understand. So remember your job?" he asked as George nodded.

"Yeah, defeat Soulburner in either a Speed Or Master duel and get the Ignis for you." said George.

"Correct. When will you do the job?"

"Today, right now."

"Oh really? So soon?"

"Yes, I am dead serious." he said with determination in his eyes.

After some seconds to think about it, Akira took a breath in, "Alright. I will send you the code to change yourself into the one of the Knights of Hanoi, and you do the job, we will pay handsomely."

George nodded as after he got his data, he went back to his home, went on the wrestling arena, raised his duel disk and yelled "It's Time To Link Into The VRAINS!" as his duel disk said, "INTO THE VRAINS!"

With Theodore

Theodore was currently asleep in his room after a long day of defeating a mass number of Knights Of Hanoi with help from Kiku and Seigen, which he really needed since he didn't think he could handle it alone.

Flame was near the window and his body was only slightly changed as his body was slightly taller, but not by much as he now remembered the decks of his friends that they played. He finished with watching the night sky and was researching some popular things in human culture like anime, famous people and even the weird parts of the internet by the name of fanfiction.

"Oh my Cyberse, how many are there of Soulburner with Stormrider and Frostgirl? It just never ends." Flame then read some of the tags, which were really weird. He felt his digital spine being cold whenever he remembered any of those tags. He then looked at one of them, "WAIT A SECOND IS THAT ME!?" he yelled as he saw some fanworks about him.

"I don't think I can mentally recover from that." said Flame as he was shaking like a pinata during a birthday.

He then looked at Theodore as he saw his flip phone shake, which meant that the alarm clock is set, which he highly doubts since he is his personal alarm clock, or someone is calling him.

He thought it was the latter so he had to wake him up, so he decided to use his voice copying section, which was now Kiku's, and said "Theodore."

His eyes instantly woke up and jumped to his feet, "WHAT!? WHAT! I AM SORRY THAT I ACCIDENTLY BROKE YOUR TAB- oh it's just you Flame." he instantly calmed down as he looked at his partner.

"Sorry that I woke you up by using that section again, but I have a good reason why I had to do it."

"It's fine, but what was the reason?"

"Your flip phone is shaking."

"Oh," he said as he saw his flip phone shaking and then to Flame, "Thank you," Flame nodded when he said that. He flipped his phone to reveal Seigen's name, to which he answered, "Yes?"

"Hey, Teddy, sorry to call you so early, at least by your standards, but I had to tell you that a Knight Of Hanoi is challenging you to a duel." said Seigen over the phone.

"Okay, I understand that part, but why don't you or Kiku do that?" asked Theodore a very reasonable question.

"Well, it is Sunday, so she and her family are going to church." explained Seigen.

"Oh, that makes sense." said Theodore as he understood that. Kiku and her family were christants, so it only made sense that they would go to church every Sunday. He was a christian as well, but he didn't go to church like them. Seigen was an atheist though, "So why don't you go?"

"Because I am upgrading my and Kiku's decks so I can add a feature so I really don't have time." Seigen explained as sparks could be heard from his room, "Oh yeah, I need to grab your duel disk for couple of hours, so can I do that?" he asked.

"Yeah sure, I would like to hear that feature." said Theodore, "Bye."

"Bye."

"I heard everything, so let's get it going." said Flame as some sparks of fire appeared on his body when he said that.

"Okay, sure, but I have to say something to my grandparents." he said as he opened his door, "Grandpa! Grandma! Sorry, but I can't eat breakfast at the moment, I am busy at the moment!"

"Okay, just make sure when you are done, make sure that you come and eat!"

"Will do!" said Theodore as he closed and locked the door. He walked towards Flame and put the duel disk on him and he said, "It's Time To Link Into The VRAINS!" as his duel disk said, "INTO THE VRAINS!"

In VRAINS

A Knight Of Hanoi was waiting for Soulburner to show up and duel him. He was currently surfing on a hoverboard on the Data Material so they could have a Speed Duel. Luckily for him, the person he had to duel just appeared on one of the rooftops. "I was waiting for you, you combination of spices!" he yelled in a very gruff voice.

Soulburner had no idea why he sounded like that, since the last Knights Of Hanoi sounded the same, but this one sounded very different from the others. He looked at Flame, to which the Fire Ignis returned the look.

They then looked at the Knight Of Hanoi and realized something, he wasn't one of them. Not one Knight has publicly announced a duel against him, and unlike him, he didn't cause mass destruction.

Something was fishy.

But he had to confirm something.

So he jumped on the data material as a hoverboard appeared under his feet and went towards him.

"Ready for our duel?" asked the Knight Of Hanoi as Flame looked at him.

"I am sorry, but I do not think that you are a Knight Of Hanoi." said Flame.

"Whatever do you mean?"

"For first, not one has publicly challenged us to a duel, only when we are here, secondly, you aren't causing mass destruction, and thirdly and most importantly, your data isn't that of a Hanoi, rather, of The Gore." explained Flame as Soulburner nodded with a slight sweatdrop on his forehead.

"Yeah, exactly what he said." said Soulburner.

The Knight sighed. "Fine, it's no use to trick you now, now will it?" he said as he then revealed himself to be The Number 1 Celebrity Duelist, The Gore.

"So why do you want to imitate a Knight of Hanoi and duel me?"

"And most likely, kidnap me." said Soulburner and Flame at the same time.

"It is because SOL Tech wants you, not sure why, but I don't care why because I am going to defeat you and get your Ignis!" yelled Gore as Soulburner sighed.

"Sorry man, but I don't want to do this, so se-"

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" He snapped his fingers as then a massive cage that covered almost the entire arena appeared out of thin air, making sure that it didn't harm anyone.

"What the fu- What is the purpose of this?" asked Soulburner as Gore grinned.

"SOL Tech knew that you would run away, so they made a cage where it is impossible to log off as long as one of us is defeated, and believe me, I won't go down to someone like you!" yelled Gore as he pointed at Soulburner.

"Geez man, overkill much, but alright." He looked at the Fire Ignis, "Ya ready pal?"

"Ready then ever." confirmed Flame as Soulburner nodded. The two duelists looked at each other and then yelled at the same time, "DUEL!" as one of them knew that Akira was watching the duel with the chess pieces.

Speed Duel!

Turn 1.

"I'll start!" exclaimed Soulburner as he reached for one card as Flame stopped him.

"Wait, Soulburner!" Flame said, shocking Soulburner, "I know and trust your skills as a duelist, don't take this to be an offense, but I think you need my help to defeat someone like him." he explained.

Soulburner nodded, "Yeah that makes sense, so here, what should I do?" he asked his partner as he showed his hand to his partner.

For Flame, it took him a couple of seconds to realize the best play. He pointed at one of the cards, "This one will be the best start." he said.

Soulburner nodded as he took the card, "Right! I'll start by normal summoning Salamangreat Foxy!" he said as a blue fox appeared on the field. Its fur was both gray and dark blue with a hint of orange around its neck and legs. It had neon green eyes. It also has black legs. Its tail was massive. It was bigger than the rest of the body, times by two at least. It was blue on the front side, but black on the back side. At the end of the body, its tail was on fire.

(Salamangreat Foxy: Level 3 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 1000. Defense: 1200.)

"His effect activates when he is normal summoned!" yelled Flame as he pointed at Foxy, "He can look at the top 3 cards of his deck, and if any of them are Salamangreat cards, he gets to add one of them, but the rest are shuffled into his deck."

"So you are getting an extra card when he is just normal summoned?" asked Gore, slightly impressed.

"Exactly! So let's see." he said as he picked up the top 3 cards of his deck which are: Salamangreat Meer, Salamangreat Spirit and Monster Reborn. "This will work," said Soulburner as he took Meer and shuffled the rest of them to his deck.

He then revealed the card he just added, "When Salamangreat Meer is added to my hand by any other way other than regularly drawing him, I get to special summon it!" he said as on his field appeared a massive orange coloured meerkat on his side of the field. It's feet, tail and legs are gray while its stomach and neck was black coloured with some red lining around its body. It had dark green eyes and on the back had flames spewing from them.

(Salamangreat Meer: Level 2 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 800. Defense: 600.)

"Flame…"

"Go for the smaller ones first." said Flame as Soulburner nodded.

"Okay, I'll now blaze my circuit!" from the tip of Soulburner's fingers appeared a circuit as he began to explain, "The summoning condition is one Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster, so I set my Salamangreat Foxy in the Link Arrows!"

Foxy went towards the bottom arrow in a blaze of fire as Soulburner gripped his hand into a fist of fire with a smirk on his face, "I Link Summon! Link-1, Salamangreat Balelynx!" in his Extra Monster zone appeared a small lynx on his side of the field.

It had a ruby on its head. Its colouring scheme was orange, white, yellow, red, brown and green around its body. It had a small tail which at the end was on fire, with turbines on its back that created fire from it. When summoned, it struck through many hearts due to its cuteness.

(Salamangreat Balelynx: Link - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 500. Link-1. Link Arrows: Bottom-Middle.)

"Pretty cute, eh?" asked Soulburner as Gore shrugged his shoulders, "Well, you better see his effect! When it is Link summoned, I get to add a Salamangreat Sanctuary from my deck!" explained Soulburner as a card popped out of his deck to which he took it.

"I'll now blaze the circuit a second time!" said Soulburner as a circuit appeared on his side of the field from the tip of his fingers, "The Summoning conditions are 2 Fire effect monsters, so I set Meer and Balelynx in the Link Arrows!" he said as his two monsters went to the Link Arrows in a fury of fire.

"I Link Summon! Link-2, Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf!" he said as from the circuit appeared a wolf on his side of the field. Its fangs were sharper than the sharpest knife, and were bigger than them. Its eyes were ruby coloured. Its skin was a combination of dark green, light green and gray. Around his torso and chest, and even on its back, was fire, hot enough to melt anything in its way.

"Two Link Summons already? Not bad, for you at least." said Gore as Seigen leaned on his chair when he saw this, Akira narrowed his eyes, and SOL Tech and Varis looked at the duel with interest.

"It's going to be even more impressive! Soulburner, summon Mole!" said Flame as his partner nodded with a smirk on his face.

"I was already planning on it! Since I Link Summoned, I get to special summon Mole from my hand in one of its Link Arrows! So come out, Mole!" he said as he slammed the card on his duel disk.

On his side of the field appeared a mole with gray, dark red and orange colouring scheme, with claws that is on fire. Its eyes are green.

(Salamangreat Mole: Level 1 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

"Sunlight Wolf's effect activates! When a monster is summoned in one of its Link Arrows, we can retrieve a Salamangreat Monster from the graveyard." said Flame as Soulburner took a card from his graveyard as he took it.

"I'll pick Foxy for the next turn, but first I blaze the circuit for the third time!" said Soulburner as a circuit appeared on his field once again.

"Another one, in one turn?" Varis placed his hand under his chin.

"The Summoning conditions are at least 2 Fire monsters, so we set Sunlight Wolf and Mole in the Link Arrows!" said Flame as they went in one of the Link Arrows in a fiery way. "We Link Summon! Link-3, Salamangreat Smoldering Bear!"

On his side of the field appeared a bear that was bigger than the Gore. Its eyes were blood red as the hair around its belly was emerald green. Some parts of the body was on fire, like the neck, legs, arms, mouth and back. Its claws were sharp enough to destroy an entire building. When summoned it roared.

(Salamangreat Smoldering Bear: Link - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 2300. Link-3. Link Arrows: Middle-Left, Middle-Right and Bottom-Middle.)

"Hah! That monster is going to get Gored! Especially when I will give it an actual bear hug!" said Gore with a grin on his face.

"I can't wait to see it, but first, I activate the Field Spell, Salamangreat Sanctuary!" he said as he inserted the Field Spell as he then began to explain, "This Field Spell allows me to use my Smoldering Bear as the entire Link Material with a monster with the same name so I will blaze the circuit for the fourth time!" he said as a circuit appeared on his field, but this time it was much more purple as it needed a much more powerful Link monster.

"I will set my Smoldering Bear in the Link Arrows!" he said as his monster went to the circuit as Soulburner began to chant, "Reincarnation Link Summon! Rise from the rains with the heat of your soul! Salamangreat Smoldering Bear!"

On his field appeared Smoldering Bear, but was it more powerful than the last one.

"I activate his effect! You see, since he was Reincarnated on my side of the field, I get to add a Salamangreat Spell or Trap card from my deck to my hand." he said as a card popped out his deck to which he took it.

He took two cards from his hand, "I will end my turn with 2 cards face down." 2 cards were set vertically behind Smoldering Bear.

Turn 2. Gore - 4000 lp - 4 cards

"That's all? Well here we go and I'll show you why The Gore is number 1! I draw!" he yelled as he drew his card. He swiped his hand as he pressed one of them, "Here we go, I activate Quick Summon!"

"This card allows me to normal summon one monster from my hand, ignoring my regular normal summon! So come out, Gouki Double Impact!" On his side of the field appeared a wrestler, wearing a tight black and orange skin suit, with a champions belt, a leather jacket with horns on the side of them, gauntlets on his arms and massive arms. It was like an ogre.

(Gouki Double Impact: Level 2 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1200. Defense: 0.)

Gore then took a card from his hand and activated it, "Since I control a Gouki monster on my side of the field, I get to activate Gouki Poison Mist!" a card materialized in front of him as he began explaining what the card does, "With this card, I can deal you 700 points of damage and your Spells and Traps you currently have on the field are out of commision!"

"What?!"

"Oh Byte!"

On Double Impact's hands appeared a massive jug which contained many poison toxins, to which he drank all of it in a matter of seconds, but a few seconds later, it spat on both Soulburner and his set cards, now having a purple colouring scheme on the back.

Soulburner: 4000 - 3300 life points

Gore: 4000 lp

"Dang it, he just made us not able to use our Spells and Traps!" yelled Soulburner in frustration as Flame narrowed his eyes.

"I feel like that is the least of our worries, Soulburner." said the Fire Ignis as the people watching cheered for the Gore as Varis grinned, already learning so much about both players.

"Your AI program is right, as now I normal summon Gouki Suprex!" On his side of the field appeared a blue coloured reptilian with an impressive build. Around his thighs and torso were yellow markings, his chest, abs and shoulders were laced with gray colouring that were like armour. Had fangs around his arms and on top of his hands. His eyes were orange and green. His hair was flowing down his back, as it was gray.

(Gouki Suprex: Level 4 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 0.)

Gore then pushed his arm forward as he began explaining his new monster's effect. "Now since he is summoned on my side of the field, I can give him a tag partner from my hand, so I will choose my Gouki Twistcobra!"

On his side of the field appeared a reptilian-like monster on his side of the field. It had green cobras on his head and on his back. His build was not as impressive as his comrade, but it was still impressive. Around the front side of his body was light green. His eyes were orange. He wore a small green cape. His sides were dark green. Around his body were yellow linings.

(Gouki Twistcobra: Level 3 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1600. Defense: 0.)

"He has three monsters now on his field."

"Yeah, filling his entire field and now," Soulburner narrowed his eyes, "He is able to now Link Summon."

"Oh you are correct my friend! I'll mash up my circuit!" a circuit appeared on his side of the field as he began explaining, "The Summoning Conditions are 2 Gouki monsters, so I set my Twistcobra and Double Impact in the Link Arrows!" he said as his two monsters went to the Link Arrows.

"I Link Summon! Link-2, Gouki Jet Ogre!" shouted Gore as then on his field appeared an ogre on his side of the field. It had a jetpack on his back with a sword in his hands. He wore a hat on his head. His eyes were light green as his colouring scheme was dark blue, gray and yellow with red lining on his body. He wore metal boots.

(Gouki Jet Ogre: Link - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2000. Link-2. Link Arrows: Middle-Right, Bottom-Middle.)

"Their other effects activate! When they go to the graveyard, I get to add a Gouki card from my deck to my hand, not including their names." he said as two cards appeared on his duel disk as he took them.

"How interesting." Flame crossed his arms in interest, "His deck style is built around having monsters with effects that allow him to gain advantage even when going to the graveyard for next turn. Not to mention, it allows him to not be handless during his turn."

"Well, let's just hope we get to destroy that combo deck with our own!" said Soulburner with a grin on his face.

"Oh I wouldn't say that, since I activate the Spell, Gouki Re-Match!" a card materialized on his side of the field as he began to explain. "This allows me to special summon Gouki monsters from my graveyard with different Levels! So come out, Twistcobra and Double Impact!"

His two Gouki monsters were revived on his side of the field.

(Gouki Twistcobra: Level 3 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1600. Defense: 0.)

(Gouki Double Impact: Level 2 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1200. Defense: 0.)

Like that his monster zones were filled once again.

"And now, I will mash up my circuit once more!" His circuit appeared on his field again, "The Summoning Conditions are at least 2 Gouki monsters, so I set my Gouki Jet Ogre, Suprex and Double Impact in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as his monsters filled 4 Link Arrows.

"That many Arrows…" Flame's eyes widened when he realized the amount of Link Arrows.

"Is he summoning a Link-4?!" yelled Soulburner in shock.

Gore didn't answer him, instead, he began to chant, "Time to bring power and destruction on this destructive match with the star of the show! I Link Summon! Link-4, Gouki Destroy Ogre!" On his side of the field appeared a monster with such a build that it made Gore himself look like a toddler in comparison. It was an ogre with dark brown skin and with a suit that had a black, dark blue, white and yellow colouring scheme, with red lining all over it. It had white armour over his body, and when it did, it had spikes on them. He wore a championship belt. His hair was all over the place as it was yellow. It had a massive white cape on the front, but on the inside it was dark red with yellow linings all over the cape.

When summoned it posed dramatically.

(Gouki Destroy Ogre: Link - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2800. Link-4. Link Arrows: Middle-Right, Middle-Left, Bottom-Right and Bottom-Left.)

Everyone stared at the newly summoned monster in shock as they have never seen a monster that powerful or a monster with 4 Link Arrows. It was truly shocking.

Akira narrowed his eyes, "So many Link Arrows, I wonder what it can do?"

The chess pieces were quiet as they continued watching the duel.

"Oh? He also has a Link-4 monster? How interesting." said Varis as he smirked, knowing that despite being powerful, it was powerless against his monsters.

Gore pushed his arm forward, "Two effects now go off at the same time! First, I get to add a Gouki card from my deck since Suprex was sent to the graveyard." he took a card from his duel disk as then his monsters glew red for a bit, "Secondly, all my Gouki monsters gain 500 attack points since Jet Ogre was sent to the graveyard until the end of the turn."

Gouki Destroy Ogre: 2800 - 3300 attack points

Gouki Twistcobra: 1600 - 2100 attack points

"That's not all! I also activate the card I just added to my hand, the Field Spell, Gouki Cage Match!" he activated the Field Spell, but nothing changed. "This card gives me 3 Gouki Counters on it."

Gouki Cage Match: 0 - 3 Gouki Counters

"Jesus Christ, what's left? Special Summoning from the graveyard?" asked Soulburner as he saw Gore's grin, "...I just jinxed myself didn't I?"

"Oh yeah you did! Destroy Ogre allows me to special summon a monster from your graveyard on your field," Soulburner was weirded out, but he continued along with that move.

"Okay? Go Meer." Meer has returned to his field in an X position.

(Salamangreat Meer: Level 2 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 800. Defense: 600.)

"So I can now special summon from my graveyard, my Gouki Suprex!" he said as his Level 4 Warrior appeared on his field.

(Gouki Suprex: Level 4 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 0.)

Gore stood tall as he had a total of 3 powerful monsters on his side of the field, as then he began his move, "Battle! Suprex destroys your Meer!" yelled Gore as his Earth Monster went towards the Meer and striked it with a single attack.

"That's not all! Since my Gouki destroyed your monster, one Counter goes off." said Gore.

Gouki Cage Match: 3 - 2 Gouki Counters

"I can tell something is about to happen when all 3 Counters go off." said Flame as Soulburner nodded.

"Same here, Flame." said Soulburner.

"You think that is impressive? Well you should see Twistcobra's effect! I send one Gouki monster, like Suprex," his Suprex disappeared in data as his Destroy Ogre glew red, "so my Destroy Ogre gains attack points equal to Suprex!"

Gouki Destroy Ogre: 3300 - 5100 attack points

"This is the end, Soulburner! Destroy Ogre attacks your Smoldering Bear with Ogre Pummeling!" he yelled as his Destroy Ogre jumped towards Smoldering Bear to deliver a jump kick.

"Oh, I don't think so! I activate Salamangreat Racoon from my hand! When a Salamangreat monster is targeted for an attack, I send this card from my hand to the graveyard, I gain life points equal to your monster's attack points!" he said as he sent a card from his hand to the graveyard "Then I activate Balelynx's effect from the graveyard, I can banish it and negate my monster's destruction! Finally, I activate Smoldering Bear's effect when a Fire Cyberse monster is targeted for an attack, I get to return my Mole from my graveyard and half the damage!" he said as he took a card from his graveyard to his hand.

The attack continued as it striked his Smoldering Bear, but it wasn't destroyed in the slightest.

"Oh yeah?! You still take the damage!" Gore yelled as Soulburner glew different colours.

"Yeah! But I have more life points than ever!" yelled Soulburner as Flame nodded his head.

"Good job, but I have to critique that you didn't have to use Balelynx from the graveyard since Racoon already gave us protection." calmly said Flame as Soulburner's eyes went wide when he heard that.

"Guess I goofed, huh?" he rubbed the back of his head as Flame nodded.

Gore looked at everything he had at the current moment and sighed. "I end my turn."

Turn 3. Soulburner - 7000 lp - 2 cards

"Alright! It is now my turn!" he yelled as he drew his card and he looked at it and nodded. It could help them in this turn if they played it correctly, but first he has to do something. "I activate my Trap, Jar Of Greed! I can now draw a card from my deck!"

Flames appeared when he drew the card as he looked at it and nodded. "Great! Just what I need."

"Use it later, okay?" advised Flame as his partner nodded.

"Okay! I understand, I summon Salamangreat Foxy!" on his side of the field appeared the same fox Cyberse monster that he summoned last turn ago.

"Now I activate his effect! I get to look at the top 3 cards from my deck and take one card from it." he said as he took the top three cards from his deck which are: Link Fire's Return, Cynet Mining and Salamangreat Spinny. "I will pick Spinny!" he said as he took a card from the card selection and returned the other 2 cards into his deck.

He then took a card from his hand, "I will now activate the Spell card, Salamangreat Recureance! I target two monsters with different names in my graveyard, and I get to add them in my hand!" two cards popped out of his duel disk as he took them. They were Racoon and Meer.

"I now activate the effect of Meer in my hand! I send one Salamangreat card from my hand to the graveyard, so I get to special summon it on my field! So appear, Meer!" Soulburner took a card from his hand and sent it to the graveyard. As then his Meer appeared on his side of the field for the third time in this duel.

"Soulburner, I suggest to add Reincarnation Summon with Smoldering Bear!" yelled Flame at his partner as he smiled at it.

"Alright! I activate Sanctuary's effect! I use my Salamangreat Smoldering Bear as the entire Link Material! So I will now blaze my circuit!" he said as he threw fire in the air from his entire hand as a purple circuit appeared on his field, "I need Smoldering Bear for the Summoning Condition so I set him in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as his monster went towards the massive purple circuit in the blazing force of speed.

Flame began to chant, "Reincarnation Link Summon! Rise from the rains with the heat of your soul! Salamangreat Smoldering Bear!"

On their side of the field appeared an even more powerful version of Smoldering Bear.

"That doesn't matter since my Destroy Ogre is still stronger than yours so my monster will still give you a big time smack down!" yelled Gore as Soulburner smirked.

"I won't be cocky if I was you, since I now activate Smoldering Bear's effect! I get to add a Salamangreat Spell or Trap card from my deck straight to my hand!" said Soulburner as a card popped out of his duel disk to which he took. He then smirked.

"I'll then activate my Equip Spell! Salamangreat Fang!" On Smoldering Bear's hands appeared even much hotter and bigger flames as it looked at Gore and his monsters, "This card makes it so my Bear can not be destroyed by card effects, and it also gives my monster a 300 point boost for every Link Arrow, but I then activate Spinny from my hand! I will send it from my hand to the graveyard so one of my monsters gains 500 attack points, or in short, Smoldering Bear gains 1400 attack points!" he yelled as his monster glew red for a little bit.

Salamangreat Smoldering Bear: 2300 - 3200 - 3700 attack points

"I will then blaze the circuit one more time!" from the tip of his fingers appeared fire as then a circuit appeared from it, "The Summoning Condition is 2 Fire Effect monsters, so I will set my Foxy and Meer in the Link Arrows!" he said as his two Salamanagreat monsters went towards two Link Arrows.

"Link Summon! Appear, Link-2, Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf!" yelled Flame as on their field appeared their Link wolf on the field for the second time this duel. It was on Smoldering Bear's Bottom Link Arrow.

"2 Link monsters before the Battle Phase? Impressive." said Knight.

Soulburner took a card from his hand, "I will set a card face down." said Soulburner as a card was set vertically behind his two monsters. "Battle! Salamangreat Smoldering Bear attacks your Gouki Destroy Ogre! Smoldering Rampage!"

Smoldering Bear concentrated fire in his hands and in his mouth as it took a look at his opponent. It snarled as it threw the attack at his opponent strong enough to destroy his opponent.

Gore had two options: Either use Twistcobra's effect to destroy itself so his monster gains 1600 attack points, or he could make it slide and use his Skill. He chose the latter.

Soulburner looked confused, but continued his turn, "That's not all! Since a monster equipped with Fang destroyed a monster that was Reincarnated, you lose life points equal to your destroyed monster's attack points, halved."

Soulburner: 7000 lp

Gore: 4000 - 3100 - 1700 life points

"And now, my Sunlight Wolf destroys your Twistcobra with Sunlight Blast!" yelled Soulburner as his monster concentrated flames in the palm of his hand as it then threw at the opponent, destroying his monster.

Gore: 1700 - 1500 lp

"Yes! He has no monsters on his field, only a Field Spell and 1 card in hand. This is going around nicely." said Soulburner as Flame nodded.

"That maybe true, but I feel like he has a trick up his sleeve. Also, I want to say I think it was a good thing that you didn't use your Skill this turn, since it is never a good idea to leave yourself with only 100 life points remaining, no matter how good the cost is." said Flame as he looked at his partner.

"Hey! Don't count the Gore out just yet!" they all looked at Gore as he smirked, "Since I now activate my Skill Pain And Gain! This Skill revives my monsters that were destroyed this turn!" yelled Gore as his linings glew the same colour, but brighter.

"Are you kidding me?!"

"Oh Byte!"

His Destroy Ogre and Twistcobra appeared on his field. Destroy Ogre was on the left side while Twistcobra on the right side.

Soulburner gritted his teeth, "I end my turn." he said with a heavy heart.

Turn 4. Gore - 1500 lp - 1 card

"It's my turn! I draw!" yelled Gore as he drew his top card, but Soulburner decided to destroy his field, right now.

"Not so fast! I activate my Trap card, Salamangreat Rage!" his card appeared on the field as he began explaining, "I get to target one card on my side of the field that was Reincarnated, and for every Link Arrow that it has, I destroy those cards! I target your Destroy Ogre, Cage Match and your Twistcobra!" he yelled as Smoldering Bear prepared fire from its mouth, but Gore came prepared.

"I don't think so!" he yelled as he swiped his arm to reveal a card from his field and activated it. "I activate Gouki Fake Out! If a Gouki card is targeted and would be destroyed, I can target another Gouki monster on my field and destroy it, negating the destruction of my Gouki cards, but for the rest of the turn I can not special summon the destroyed monster." he said Smoldering Bear threw fire, not at Destroy Ogre, but at Twistcobra, destroying it.

"Since Twistcobra was sent to the graveyard, I get to add a Gouki card from my deck." he said as he took a card from his deck.

"Damn it!"

"Be patient, Soulburner. This will be over soon enough." said Flame as Gore smirked.

"Oh it will be! But first, I activate my Destroy Ogre's effect! You can special summon any monster from your graveyard!" Gore yelled as a card popped out of Soulburner's deck as he took it.

"Fine, go, Salamangreat Racoon." he said as a black armour like racoon appeared on his field that had red markings on its back and fire around its legs, it was in defense mode.

"Great! I will now summon my Gouki Double Impact for another round of your smackdown!" yelled Gore as his orange coloured wrestler appeared on his side of the field.

"That's not it! I also summon my Riscorpio!" he yelled as then a massive red scorpion appeared on his side of the field. It had an impressive build, as it also his suit was black and gray with purple lining on his skin. Its claws were massive and its tail was bigger than most humans. Its eyes were light green.

"Wait a minute that's a level 5 monster!" yelled Flame as Soulburner grinned.

"Hah! You can't summon that monster without a tribute, so one of your monsters has to go!" he yelled as he tried to rule shark him, but his grin disappeared as Gore grinned instead.

"Oh I know that, Riscoprio can be normal summoned without a tribute if all of my monsters are Goukis."

"Ahh…well crap," he said.

"Anyway, I have enough for me to mash up my circuit!" a circuit appeared on his field, "The Summoning Conditions are 2 Gouki monsters, so I set my Gouki Double Impact and Riscoprio in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as his two monsters went into the Link Arrows.

"I Link Summon! Link-2, Gouki Heel Ogre!" he yelled as on his side of the field appeared an ogre with fire as his hair, wearing a staff as his weapon. Its armour was brown with yellow spikes on them as his skin was brown and light purple. His eyes were yellow. He had a championship belt around him. It was in Gore's Extra Monster Zone.

"Then I get to add 2 Gouki cards from my deck since my two Goukis went to the graveyard." he said as two cards appeared on his deck as he took them.

"I activate one of them! Go, Gouki Re-Match!" he yelled as he didn't feel like he should explain its effect.

"Ahh, damn it!"

Those two were Riscorpio and Suprex.

Varis narrowed his eyes, "Those cards aren't enough to defeat Soulburner as he would have more than enough to finish him off on his next turn, so what is he planning on?" his mind then went into a different location, "Oh? Maybe another of those." he grinned.

"His entire monster slots are full now, so it could only mean one thing." Flame's eyes widened as he realized what was about to happen.

Soulburner gulped in a nervous way.

"I'll mash up my circuit for the last time!" a circuit appeared on Gore's field as he began explaining, "The Summoning Conditions are at least 3 Goukis so I set my Gouki Heel Ogre, Suprex and Riscorpio in the Link Arrows!" he said as his 3 monsters went towards the circuit for 3 of the Link Arrows.

Gore then began to chant, "The show is on as the master of the ring is summoned to rule the stage! I Link Summon! Link-4. Gouki The Giant Ogre!" he yelled as then on his field appeared a massive Ogre that made Destroy Ogre look like an action figure. It had light brown skin, gray armour around his shoulders and legs, with purple knee caps. It had fur around his neck wearing a purple mask with red eyes, as he wore brown sleeveless gloves with fur on them with a massive purple cape and a massive sword.

"Dear god, just look at the thing! It's massive!" yelled Soulburner in shock as a card appeared on Gore's deck.

"Oh, and believe me, he is about to get more than just massive, but first I add a Gouki card since Suprex went to the grave." he said as he took it. He looked at Soulburner and his Ignis with a grin, "This show is nearing the end! Since I control a Gouki on my field, I get to special summon my Gouki Bulldog!"

On his side of the field appeared a massive bulldog. It had dark red gauntlets around his hip, leg, arm and torso area with a small cape that had a dog's head on it. It wore a mask that was dark blue. It had an impressive build for something so small compared to the other monsters around him.

(Gouki Bulldog: Level 2 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 200. Defense: 500.)

Gore swiped his hand as he activated one of his cards in his hand, "I now activate Gouki Face Turn. I target one monster in my field and one in my graveyard, I get to destroy the one on my field," his Bulldog was destroyed as a card came from the graveyard as he took it, "so I can special summon my Riscorpio!"

His Scorpio appeared on his field, but not on any of his monster's Link Arrows.

"I will now activate Bulldog's effect in the graveyard! I can banish it from my graveyard so my non-Link Gouki can engage one more time, but one of those attacks can be a direct attack and all cards that increase your monster's attack are negated." said Gore as Soulburner nodded.

Smoldering Bear: 3200 - 2300 attack points

With the cards he currently has on the field, he can manage with something like that.

"I now activate my final Spell card! Gouki Finishing Move!" oh no. "This card allows me to target one of my Gouki Link monsters, and it gains 1000 attack points for every Link Arrow."

"WHAT!?" yelled Soulburner in shock as his eyes widened.

"OH BYTE!" yelled Flame.

"That's right! And I target my Giant Ogre, so it could gain 4000 attack points, not only that, he gains 1000 attack points whenever his attack points change. So in conclusion…

Gouki The Giant Ogre: 3000 - 7000 - 8000 attack points

…you are fucked." he said, casually as Soulburner took some steps backwards, but realizes the data material behind him.

"Well shit." said Soulburner as he bit his lip and Gore smirked.

"That's right! Battle! Gouki The Giant Ogre attacks your Racoon! Slice and Dice!," he said as his monster raised his massive sword as he began explaining why he did that, "And when it attacks a defense position monster, he can deal piercing battle damage due to Finishing Move."

The Giant Ogre dashed towards Racoon.

"Soulburner! Activate everything to survive this! NOW!"

"I got it, Flame!" he said as he pointed at his set card, "I activate Energy Of Fire! If my monster is targeted for an attack, I shuffle one Salamangreat Monster, like my Smoldering Bear in my graveyard, and I gain the amount of attack points of it. Furthermore, I activate Smoldering Bear's effect, I get to return Foxy from my graveyard to my hand and halve the damage!" he said as he took two cards from his graveyard, placed one of them in his hand and one in his Extra Deck.

"You still take the damage!" Gore yelled as his monster sliced through Racoon, but it was returned to normal due to Energy Of Fire.

Soulburner: 7000 - 9300 - 5700 life points

Gore: 1500 lp

"Alright, still, Destroy Ogre and Riscorpio will attack your Sunlight Wolf and Racoon! With Tag Partnership!" he said as his two monsters charged at the two monsters and both of them delivered a German suplex on them destroying them both at the same time.

Soulburner: 5700 - 4700 life points

Gore: 1500 lp

Gouki Cage Match: 2 - 0 Gouki Counters

"Now, since I activate Bulldog's effect, my Riscorpio will deliver one more attack on you, but this time directly! So go!" he yelled as his Gouki Scorpion went towards him and delivered a punch that staggered him.

Soulburner: 4700 - 2300 life points

Gore: 1500 lp

"Alright, he should be do- oh god." he saw Gore's smirk.

"Since all three of my counters have been used for Cage Match, I can place them back on them, so I can now special summon from my deck, one Gouki monster! So appear, Gouki Suprex!" he yelled as his trusty Gouki monster appeared on the field for the last time.

"That's what you get Soulburner!" yelled Gore as Soulburner looked at him in confusion. "That's what you get for taking my title of being my kids' Hero and you took it from me!" he yelled in rage as Soulburner looked at him.

"Look's its not my fault tha- wait you have kids?" he asked as Gore looked at him.

"Yeah?"

"Aren't you 19 years old?" asked Flame. (A/N: I am not shitting you, look him up.)

"Yeah?"

"Wait, 19?! Bro, you look like you are in your twenties at least!"

"What does that supposed to mean?!"

"I mean that you look like a man rather than a teenager! For Chirst's sake, you are only 3 years older than me!"

"So what if my parents had the worst genes on the planet to make me look like a man when I was still a teenager! It's not my fault!"

"What the hell did you look like when you were younger? A teenager when you were 6? WAIT, on second note, how do you have kids!? Are you a teen dad?"

"Okay, well not exactly my kids, like metaphorically speaking, since it's simple to say kids at the orphanage, but they are like my kids."

My heart's burning in passion of defeating the Knights Of Hanoi, and even the incident that forever scarred me." he said looking down, but he looked at Gore with a grin on his face.

"So, what I am trying to say is that I am here, for justice for everyone that will be harmed by the Knights of Hanoi, and to help everyone else that was a part of the project. And I am not fighting alone, I am here with my pal, Flame," Flame, even without a smile, smiled at the words of his partner, "and even the help of my best friends along my side. And you can always join us in the fight. With your skills, their forces will be wrecked with your help." Gore raised an eyebrow.

"So what do you say, Gore? Want to help us out?" asked Soulburner as Gore smirked.

"I will think about the whole deal only, and only, if you beat me in this duel." said Gore as Soulburner grinned.

"Oh I am planning on that part!" he placed his fingers on the top of his deck and yelled, "It's my turn!" he yelled as he drew the top card in his deck. He looked at it and grinned. He placed it and took a card from his hand, "I'll now summon my Salamangreat Foxy!" His blue fox appeared on the field.

"I now activate his effect, I get to look at the top 3 cards from my deck and take one Salamangreat card from it," he said as he looked at the top 3 cards in his deck and they were Salamangreat Tail, Salamangreat Circle and Salamanagreat Roar. He took Tail and returned the other cards into his deck.

"I will then activate it! It allows my Foxy to gain attack points equal to its defense points, and not only that I also gain life points equal to its attack points!" said Soulburner as he and his monster glew red.

Soulburner: 2300 - 3500 life points

Gore: 1500 lp

Salamangreat Foxy: 1000 - 2200 attack points

He then looked at his partner, "Flame, buddy, it's time so start it up!" he said as Flame nodded.

"Right on!" yelled Flame as fire appeared on his body as Soulburner smacked his chest plate.

"I activate my Skill Burning Draw! My life points become 100 and for every 1000 lost life points, I get to draw a card!" he yelled as from his hands appeared a massive ray of fire as he placed his fingers on them.

Soulburner: 3500 - 100 life points

Gore: 1500 lp

"Bring The Heat, Soulburner!"

"I…Burning…DRAW!" he yelled as he drew the top cards from his deck.

He looked at the cards he just drew and he was a little disappointed in them. Two of the cards were Trap cards that he can't currently use or could help him in this current situation, but one card though…

He had a plan!

A card popped out from his deck as he took it, "I will activate Spinny's effect from the graveyard! I get to special summon it from my graveyard, but it gets banished when it leaves the field. So come out, Salamangreat Spinny!"

On his side of the field appeared an armadillo lizard which was in a ball by its tail, which was on fire. Its spikes were golden and black as obsidian. The colouring scheme was brown, gold and black.

"I have enough for me to blaze my circuit!" he yelled as a circuit appeared on his side of the field from his fingertips, "The Summoning Conditions are at least 2 Fire monsters, so I set my Smoldering Bear, Foxy and Spinny in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as his three monsters went towards the circuit at the speed of a living fire.

His three monsters all went into 3 arrows, one at the top and two at the bottom, "I Link Summon! Link-3, Salamangreat Heatleo!" he yelled as a monster appeared from the circuit. The monster was a purple skinned lion. It had orange gold like wings on the back of its body and it had two heads on its hands. Around his knees, chest, torso, head, wings, arms and hands was a golden skin. On his head-like claws appeared fire so hot it could burn anything in his way.

"He summoned it again. It must be his Ace, then." said Varis as he narrowed his eyes at Heatleo.

"Now, I activate my Sanctuary's effect!" yelled Soulburner as then from his hand appeared massive amount of fire as he threw it, creating a purple circuit. "I set my Heatleo in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as the monster went towards the circuit.

"Reincarnation Link Summon! Rise again, from the valley of flames! Salamangreat Heatleo!" from the circuit appeared Heatleo that was much more powerful and stronger than the first version.

"Wait a minute, it has an effect when summoned." said Gore as Soulburner grinned.

"That's right! One monster on your side of the field's attack points become the exact same as one in our graveyard. We target your Riscoprio with our-

-Sunlight Wolf in our graveyard!" yelled Soulburner as he shocked Flame.

"Excuse me?"

Gouki Riscorpio: 2300 - 1800 attack points

"Why would you- We would've- We could have won if you picked Meer, Mole or even Racoon!" yelled Flame as Soulburner grinned.

"I know, that Flame, but look at my hand and tell me you know what I am doing." he said as he showed his hand to him and his eyes opened up and nodded.

"I see, odd, but not bad." admitted Flame as Soulburner took one card from his hand.

"Thanks Flame that you understand that part, but first I activate from my hand, my Spell card, Link Fire's Return!" he yelled as the card materialized on his side of the field. "This card allows me to special summon one Salamangreat Link monster from my graveyard, so come out my Salamangreat Smoldering Bear!"

His Smoldering Bear appeared on the field with a roar with fire going crazy around him.

"Sadly, he can not attack or activate his effects during the turn he is summoned, but hey, at least you lose 200 life points for every Link Arrow!" he yelled as from the Spell card appeared fire from it and went towards Gore.

Soulburner: 100 lp

Gore: 1500 - 900 life points

"Then what was the point of summoning that monster then, other than making me lose 600 life points?" Gore asked as Soulburner grinned.

"Good question, and I need to answer it with a good answer! Because I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Salamangreat Transcendence! One of my monsters can now be Reincarnated, and I know which one." A circuit appeared from his hands, a purple this time as then his Bear went in it.

Gore's eyes went up as everyone knew what was about to happen.

"Reincarnation Link Summon! Rise from the rains with the heat of your soul! Salamangreat Smoldering Bear!" he yelled as then on his field appeared a more powerful version of Bear. It was on Heatleo's Bottom-Right Link Arrow.

Gore did the math in his head as he smiled. "So I guess this is it, huh? Gotta say, it was a fun one."

Soulburner smiled as well, "Yeah, sad that this is over as well, but hey at least we had fun, right?" Gore nodded.

"Yeah, but next time, I will beat ya'!" yelled Gore as the Fire Duelist grinned.

"We'll see. Battle! Salamangreat Heatleo and Smoldering Bear attack your Gouki Suprex and Riscorpio! Heat Clash!" he yelled as his two monsters went towards the two weaker, non-Link monsters and created balls of fire around their hands.

When they got close, they all delivered punches to the Goukis, making an explosion as Gore fell to one of the buildings.

Gore: 900 - 400 - 0 life points

SOULBURNER: WINNER!

Akira sighed as he stood up from his office and grabbed his phone.

The chess pieces were quiet the entire time it was going on as they then disappeared without a word to each other.

Varis looked at the entire duel with a grin on his own as he created a small, but effective plan on destroying him in their future duels.

Gore stood up with no visible scratch on his body as he saw the person that defeated him in a duel. They walked up to each other as they heard the cage that was keeping them from logging out.

It was quiet as then…

…Gore started laughing with Soulburner smiling the entire time with Flame crossing his hands together, "That was an amazing duel!" he handed out his hand to which Soulburner took it.

"Yeah, you were pretty good at this. No wonder you are the Number 1 at this." he said as Gore looked at him.

"Well, not right now. Guess I am Number 2."

"Don't be like that, Flame, this guy on my duel disk, gave me instructions. Trust me, if I didn't listen to him, you would have wiped the floor with me." he said as Gore stopped shaking hands. They looked at each other, "So, about the Knights Of Hanoi…"

"Oh, yeah that." Gore scratched his head, "I will think about joining you if I could. I still have to help the kids, and continue my Celebrity Duelist status, but if I could, I could join you." he said.

"Okay, there is no pressure. Anyway, I gotta go, I can smell the breakfast in here." Gore laughed at that.

"Yeah, I really need to eat something as well. See ya."

"See ya." they both logged off at the same time.

In The Real World

Theodore woke up from his duel against Gore. It was…extremely fun, if you don't include almost losing Flame that is, but it can't be helped, they both bounced off each other so well that it would be incredibly hard not to have fun during that.

He heard knocking on the door, "Teddy! The food is going cold, are you sure you are done?" asked his grandpa as Theodore stood up.

"Yeah, I am grandpa! I am coming in a few seconds!" he said as he picked up his glasses and went to eat breakfast.

With Gore

Once he woke up from his duel, George fell down to one of the rings. "Man, I really need something cold. Speed Dueling really can make you lose some pounds from it." he said to himself as he looked at the ground.

He felt…proud that he had a great duel with someone? Disappointed in himself that he lost to him and his fans? He really couldn't tell which one at all.

"Thought I had that kid with my monsters, but I couldn't kick out of the duel. I gotta keep training in order to keep up and defeat him for them, and for my fans, especially the lighter ones." he said to himself as he heard a voice.

"Hey, who are you calling little?" asked one of the boys as George looked around to see every kid in the orphanage. The ones that he cares most of all in the world. His fans.

They were all cheering, clapping for him and calling him their champion. He saw Alfred and the woman running the orphanage called Baomu.

One boy and one girl walked towards him with the belt that they all made together in their hands.

"You'll always be the champ for us, and here is the belt to prove it." said the boy.

"I got it done myself!" said the girl as she showed the belt to George.

George stood up, "So even after I got my butt kicked by him, you are still here even after I went from Hero to a Zero? 'Cause this guy won't be hurt if you don't want to see more from the Gore."

"Are you kidding, we want you to stay!" the boy said.

"Wear this belt and wear it like a champ, but don't rip it, we are out of glue." said the girl.

Tears could be almost seen from George's eyes as he smiled at all of them, "I promise." he said as he took the belt, gently, and raised high like he was the king of the world. His voice, sheer happiness, could be heard from even Mustafu City.

He laughed when all of the kids started to surround him, but he didn't mind it.

He loved making his fans happy, even if he had to get his butt kicked.

DONE! Holy SHIT! THAT WAS LONG! 16k words, and that isn't my longest chapter I have written or planned…great. Sorry for the 2 weeks waiting for this stinking chapter, hope it was worth it.

So I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. I decided to add on scenes from Episode 3 that could fit in the chapter, and I continued on with Episode 4 and 5 in an almost same way in canon.

In canon, Playmaker was almost this popular the day after his duel against the Knights of Hanoi, so I think this would also be very fitting for the characters.

Sorry that it was mainly a Soulburner chapter, but at the same time, how could it not be? I just had to since their duel in canon was a fun one to watch and can't wait to watch again. Trust me, Stormrider and Frostgirl will have their own chapters extremely soon.

The duel in canon was pretty fun to watch since when I watched that Decode Talker vs Gouki The Great Ogre fight, I knew I was about to have a blast watching VRAINS. My only problem was that we didn't see Encode Talker in this duel, which is a shame, but at the same time, it was one of my least favourite of the Code Talkers.

George Gore, or Go Inuzuka in the sub, is a character which, unpopular opinion time, I really like. I will split this up in Season 2 and maybe Season 3 since they are different versions of Gore in Season 1. I really like his deck, it was interesting to write with and I really hope I can make something new about those monsters, maybe even a monster that isn't a Link monster, who knows. I really like the reason why he duels is not because of fame, but because of kids to show that he is a good person in heart. His duel against Varis is one of my favourites in Vrains, such a fun duel. The reason why he becomes a bounty hunter will be different than in canon.

Next up on the bounty, is The Shepherd, which I can't wait to write. I think that is about it, so see ya!
