Time To Answer The Reviews:
Star-Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Thanks, I worked hard on this duel, and glad that you enjoyed it. I am glad that you gave me permission on Sacred Winds.
It was currently a day after the incident in Link VRAINS and a one that no one will ever forget. Not the bystanders that were watching the duel, the Knights of Hanoi who were spying on them, SOL Tech and the higher ups as they wanted to get as much information out of the Fire Ignis so they can use it, but they weren't good enough, and especially for Theodore, Seigen, Flame and her family.
It was a hard day for all of them, especially for the Kamishirakawas. Her parents, Kirin and Fuyuko Kamishirakawa, were silent the entire time, when they were at the hospital, when they called the ambulance, and when they went to the hospital and back, but when they were alone, Kirin couldn't do anything, but started to cry as Fuyuko hugged and cried alongside her husband.
Kiki was bawling his eyes out the entire time as even though he loved pestering and annoying his older sister to death when it came to anything that he thought would make her angry, but he always deeply cared and loved his sister that he couldn't help, but feel sad the entire thing.
Flame felt sad for her. Despite knowing her for a short time, he cared for the blue haired girl as he felt like she was the only other one to think rationally at times. It didn't help that he couldn't help, but feel sad for his origin the entire time as he knew that whatever he was feeling paled in comparison to what he was feeling.
Seigen showed no emotion to the entire thing. The entire way from the hospital and back, he showed no emotion, but everyone knew that he was sorrowful the entire time. He tried to reassure the others the entire time, but he knew that wouldn't be the case.
Theodore, however? How did Theodore Hamilton feel?

"GOD DAMN IT! JUST SHUT UP!" roared Theodore as he threw the remote on the floor as it bounced off and batteries flew right through them. He sat back to his bed as he placed his hands on his face, covering his eyes and had tears going down through his face.
He felt many emotions that day. When he heard the news he thought that they were just making a horrible, cruel, unprofessional joke towards them as he tried to not accept the fact what happened to her, but after he heard that they were saying a fact and they were not making a joke, he went to the bathroom. He stared at the mirror, not doing anything for half a minute as then he punched the wall that was next to it. He felt frustrated at that time.
After a minute or so, Seigen walked in to see if everything was okay or not, only to see him on the floor, saying to his words that he should have done this or have done that so she wouldn't be in so much pain and to never wake up and he felt horrible for it. Seigen walked towards him and hugged his best friend . Tears went down his face as he couldn't stop doing it even today. He felt he was crying a river, or a lake, it was difficult to even say. Not even being comforted by his grandpa and grandma comforting him when he got home from the hospital all the way from Den City due to them not having one in Mustafu City.
He felt horrible as that night he had horrible nightmares if he could sleep where it started off like any other day with them, but then it slowly to the point he didn't even feel it until the last parts of it. The backgrounds went from colourful to dark and cold in a slow way that was hard to notice, as the voices became darker and darker and harsher the more they went on as they yelled at them why didn't he help her and tried to save her when he had the chance.
Then at the end of the nightmare he saw a lone figure towering over everyone. It was a strange one. It felt like a red mechanical dragon, but at the same time a person. Which wore a helmet that covered his face, as his pupils weren't visible in the slightest as they were blue. When he looked at him, he raised his hand towards him and then like a shotgun, it flew towards him at high speeds and it was like it was made out of lasers. Making him wake up, full of sweat.
It was the day that he didn't feel like going to school, and his grandparents allowed it. They asked him if he needed anything, but he didn't come out of his room the entire time. Not even for food. Flame tried to talk to him about it, but he knew that it wasn't going to work, instead he is going to work something about the hospital in Den City. He only let Seigen in the room, as he then sat on a bean bag and tried to find out what was going on.
Theodore still remember what happened that day. The Kamishirakawas, Seigen and Theodore were all waiting in the hospital to hear about Kiku's condition, as then three doctors walked towards them. One was a man with a blue circle beard with blue hair on the top, but on the bottom was light blue coloured, the other was a man with massive circle glasses that were orange in some parts of as his hair resembled that of a bush, and it was light green, and the final one was a woman with red hair with orange highlights in her hair. They were all wearing doctor uniforms.
Their names were, in order, Alec Mikami, Genome Kirimoto and Clarissa Turner. Alec told them that nothing bad happened to her physically. Which was good for them, but Clarissa continued onwards that they ran every test that they could think off and even with their best equipment they still don't know why she wasn't waking up. Genome continued for them as he said that if only they knew what caused it, then maybe they can know how to fix this.
He tried to say that they were only making a very sick joke, but then he realized that they weren't kidding, so he went to the bathroom with Seigen following him after a minute or so, and then returned to his home.
But he didn't know what happened after they left the hospital.
It was nighttime during the hospital and all of the lights were turned off. The janitors were sweeping the floors, the doctors and nurses worked for those that had night shifts and the patients were resting from either injuries or a sickness. The hospital, in short, was closed and only the workers were allowed to work there.
However, 3 doctors that worked there and had daytime shifts, were still in hospital as they said that they wanted to help the patients in any way that they could manage, which they allowed, but instead they were doing something different, something that they thought they would have never done if they weren't told to.
It wasn't a request from Varis, but from Varis' father in which they have worked for in the past for a horrible task that certainly didn't like doing, Kiyoshi Kogami, with a heavy heart, they went to work.
Genome and Alec pulled out their laptops, as they used the excuse that they were researching some antidotes that could work for Kiku Kamishirakawa's surgery, but instead they were doing much worse than that.
Genome cracked his knuckles as he began typing on the laptop for a certain command as he made one of the camera's, more specifically on Kiku's room, to loop as to look like nothing was going wrong with the footage as it would be foolish to black it out as it would draw attention to it.
Alec began typing as well, but this time for a different command in which as soon as Clarissa went to the room, steel will go down the doors and windows so no one will see what she will be doing, and since everyone else realizes that means that a procedure will be happening, no one will bat an eye.
Despite Clarissa being a pretty decent hacker, she is only the 2nd weakest hacker of the 3 Commanders, the Right Hand Of Varis and the leader of Hanoi, only really behind Specter in terms of hacking skills. Faust and Genome were even while Varis was clearly the stronger hacker, however he is only the 2nd strongest in terms of creating a Virus in the Hanoi, as she was the best at it with Varis following close behind.
She walked towards Kiku's body with a syringe in her hand and looked over at her. She remembered when she was young. When she was a 16 year old girl and filled with innocent thoughts about life, but now, all she felt was envy for her, not to mention pity for her as she looked at her.
She took her hand and placed the syringe in her hands and took the blood and sucked it into it, knowing that the virus was flowing through her system and thanks to it, she can use it for Kiyoshi's plan, and if that didn't work out, then the other plan will.
As soon as she finished with the syringe, she walked out of the room, hiding it from everyone, and then Genome returned the footage back to normal to show Kiku still in bed and Alec returned the steel back up so no one can suspect a thing, and all of them have to say that she simply forgot the equipment.
With Varis
Varis was finished with something he was planning on for a while now. It was a voice message that was made for the specific purpose of challenging Soulburner for the Fire Ignis. All he has to do is to make sure that all of the TV and/or phones in Japan so he could make sure that wherever he is he could get to him.
He had a conversation with his father in which he had to get the data and the blood of his son's newly made virus so they could replicate it and make it work on other duelists, but this time not the person who was using the virus, which in his mind was a horrible thing to do, but he realizes that it wasn't a bad strategy so he allowed it.
As he finished the conversation with his father, he called for Specter, as he then appeared next to him, still bothered by the fact that he had to act like a ten year old, but he was quiet about it since he didn't want to anger him. He asked to get Frostgirl's avatar as soon as possible as he needed it for bait for Soulburner as he nodded as he disappeared. All he has to do is to break the firewall that was separating him and the destroyed places that they made during the day that they first saw Soulburner, which was nothing as he can easily break any firewall that isn't too far off of him like in an another city.
As then, Baira, Faust and Genome all appeared behind him, all bowing in respect. "Master Varis, we are here for the data your father asked us to get." said Faust as he straighten his back.
The Leader Of The Knights of Hanoi nodded with a small smile on his face. No matter what situation there is, he can always rely on them, "Perfect." he said as he turned around and placed his hand for the data.
Genome nodded as he handed the data to the leader of Hanoi out of respect, "Here you go, Master Varis. It was quite easy getting this data from her."
Varis nodded as he knew that compared to him making the virus, this was like a game to them as it wasn't even a challenge to get it. "Thank you, and I understand. Getting this data is crucial for the Knights of Hanoi if I somehow fail, which I doubt." he said as he grabbed the data and let it fly around his hand.
They all nodded at the same time, knowing that it would be highly unlikely that someone as great as him would lose to someone like him. Baira had a thought though, "Master Varis?"
He turned to her, "Yes?"
"Something caught my attention, and not just mine, but also Faust and Genome's attention." she said as the other two nodded alongside her.
Varis raised an eyebrow as he looked at them, hoping that it wasn't something about him, "What is it?" he asked.
"Yesterday, when we were looking at the scan and looking over Kiku Kamishirakawa's body, we noticed the two boys that looked similar and even sounded similar to Soulburner and Stormrider." said Faust as the two nodded alongside them.
"Not to mention that they were the ones that had similar duel disk styles, at least, compared to Soulburner." said Genome. Varis had to think of a way to get out of this. Even if he wanted the Fire Ignis from him, that didn't mean that he didn't want them to suffer anymore than they already did.
"I don't think that is the case." they all turned to him, confused on what they meant by that, "For all we know this could be a false alarm. Not to mention, even if we do know what they look like, we don't know where they live. They could live in Den City or the other side of the country, it is impossible to tell." he said as they realized that he was correct by that as they never asked them where they lived exactly so they couldn't get to them easily.
"I guess you are right, Master Varis, we never did ask them where they lived so we can't just blindly guess." said Baira as Varis had a tiny smirk on his face.
"Can we ask you a question, Master Varis?" asked Faust as Varis looked at him.
"Sure, go ahead." he said as all of them looked at the leader of The Knights of Hanoi.
"Well, I was wondering how are you going to challenge Soulburner for the Fire Ignis. Are you going on your own or with someone else?" he asked Varis in interest as Varis looked at him.
"It's simple, I am going alone in this mission," that shocked them, but then they realized what he meant by that as they were confident that he would defeat him with almost no difficulty, "And, I will be only using Link and Ritual monsters." Now that shocked them.
He is using a deck that wasn't even at his fullpower?! Sure, he was powerful without them, but it was still insane that he was going without his Synchro monster, or his Fusion monster, or even his XYZ monster, against him, but the Ritual monster wasn't a bad choice.
All three of them looked at each other, before sighing. "Alright that is all that we have."
Varis nodded, "Alright, you three can go now."
"Understood." they said as they logged off.
He then noticed that his father, Kiyoshi Kogami, appeared in front of him, "So, I believe that Baira gave you the data for the virus?" he asked his son as his son nodded.
"That's right, father, they did." he said as he gave the data to his father, as he nodded.
"Excellent. With this, even if you fail, we still have a plan to destroy the Ignis." Kiyoshi said to his son to which he nodded.
"Of course, you can never have too many backup plans to destroy the Ignis." his son told him as he nodded.
"Of course you can't, which is why I gave you the position as the leader of the Knights of Hanoi." he told his son as then his eyes darkened. "When the time comes, I will do what needs to be done, even if I know that what we are doing is horrible."
"I understand, father. I know that this won't be very easy to do, but doing what is right, never is." he said as his father nodded.
"I agree." he said as his son had something that he needed to ask.
"Father," Kiyoshi turned to him, "I need you to know one thing. When my Master Duel against Soulburner begins, I want you to give me the Fire Prison field Spell so we can't destroy the Ignis with no problems."
Kiyoshi nodded, "Of course. I will give it to you as soon as your Speed Duel ends." he said.
"Good." he said as he walked off, readying for his duel against Soulburner.
Back with Theodore
Theodore was in his room with Seigen on a bean bag with Flame on his table. He stopped crying as he looked at his best friend who was doing his best to find out the data behind Kiku and the hospital with his laptop in his lap and Flame was trying to calm him down, but he wasn't good at that part. He wishes he was as good as the Water Ignis when it came to situations like this.
Even when he tried to tell him that they were going to fix this together, it didn't help him in the slightest, it made him worse, which was the opposite plan. He felt bad for his origin, he really did, but he never was the one to cheer someone up.
Fortunately, Seigen yelled, "Finally! I cracked the damn firewall!" that shocked his two friends as they flinched a bit. He looked at them and coughed in his hand, "Oh, sorry." he said as he had a nervous smile on his face.
"It's fine, but what exactly did you crack?" asked Theodore as he wasn't experienced with any computer terms, or what a firewall exactly is.
"Well the firewall to the hospital." he said as his best friend looked at him weirdly, he sighed. "Oh yeah, I remember that you aren't well versed in computer terms. Basically a wall that protects your computer from on going internet traffic from going in or out." he said as the silver-red haired boy tried to understand as he then nodded with him.
"Oh, okay. I guess I understand what you mean by that." he said nodding slowly as Flame looked at the brown haired boy.
"What exactly did you find?" the Fire Ignis asked as he crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes.
"Well…" he began as he turned his laptop to face them as they all looked at his laptop to see the data, which only Flame could understand, "I found the data of Kiku's chart from the hospital." Flame looked at it as he narrowed his eyes trying to fully understand it as Theodore brought him there to read it.
"So what did you exactly see? Is she doing okay?" asked Teddy as Seigen cringed hearing that, he isn't ready telling him this, but he has to.
"No, sadly." Theodore's eyes widened in shock, "It was like her brain froze, like a brain freeze when you are eating ice cream too fast, but this is next level. No activity have I seen. It's like her entire system has shut down." he said as Theodore clenched his fists into a ball and gritted his teeth.
Flame's eyes widened as he realized what happened as he began reading the data more correctly, "Wait, I know what happened!" both of them turned towards Flame as he turned towards them, "She has a virus in her body!"
"Like a cold?"
"Like a computer?" asked Theodore and Seigen at the same time as Flame nodded to both of them.
"Correct! A computer virus, and a one that shuts down the entire computer like a cold for a human like you two. Your brains are like CPU," Theodore looked at him weirdly again, he sighed, "or a normal brain in simpler terms, and when it gets a virus or a cold, your entire body and brain shuts down like a computer in sleep mode, or when you are sick."
Theodore tried to understand this entire thing as he placed his hand under his chin and started to rub it. He doesn't understand most of what Flame said as he wasn't an expert on computers.
However, the expert on computers, Seigen realized what he was talking about as he looked at him, "So the card that she used during her duel with Teddy, was infected by a virus created by the Hanoi?" he asked as Flame turned to him and nodded.
"That's right! As soon as she drew the card, I felt something was off and I even noticed how she felt whenever she used that card's effect in any way, not to mention how her eyes turned purple in that duel." said Flame as Theodore realized what he meant by that as he looked at him, "Even when I was trying to get to the data from her, I knew something wasn't right when I couldn't get all of the data from her."
Theodore gulped whatever was in his mouth as felt more and more nervous about the entire thing, "So, how exactly can we destroy this virus?" the silver-red haired boy.
Flame glanced at him, "Well with an anti-virus, or in simpler words, an antidote." he then placed his hand under his chin, "I presume that if the Knights of Hanoi created the Virus, it wouldn't be too far to say that they have one as well."
"Yeah, but not that they will give it to us willingly." Seigen said with an actual hint of anger.
"Damn it." he cursed under his breath as he thought that would be impossible to do, but then, they saw what was going on with the TV, and unbeknownst to them, it was broadcasted all over Japan.
"Soulburner." the voice called out as Flame's eyes widened in near fear from the voice as he remembered that voice the day he escaped with the Cyberse inside of him. He wasn't the only one that recognized that voice.
Theodore and Seigen's eyes stayed still as they remembered that voice, but it wasn't clear, it was…it was the voice that they can remember during the time of the worst part of their lives, the one that gave them the motivation that helped them during it, but they thought it was a coincidence. It has to be. Right?
However, they too weren't the only ones that recognized that voice. A boy with blue hair with purple highlights with green eyes stopped eating his hot dog that was from Kolter as he looked at the massive TV that was in Den City center and his eyes couldn't stop looking at him, as Kolter himself stopped what he was doing as he thought it was impossible.
At a hospital, a boy with purple hair with light purple eyes looked at the mini TV that was on the wall, as he remembered it as it was the last time he heard a comforting voice before it.
A girl with short brown hair and hazel coloured eyes stopped doing her homework as she heard the voice that she heard when it was the worst time of her life and was the cause of her scars that went into a lightning pattern all over her body.
Akira stopped dead in his tracks as he remembered the voice. The voice that helped him 10 years ago.
The TVs and phones didn't show Varis' avatar. All they showed was the head of the avatar that was darkened not to show his true face with a gray background. "You might be asking this, 'How did you get the direct address of my television or phone'? Well, in simpler words, I made sure that this message can be seen in all of Japan."
"What?!" asked both Seigen and Theodore.
"How?!" asked Theodore.
"I am more impressed than anything. Do you know how hard it is to link a video all across Ja…" Theodore and Flame looked at him weirdly as if he shouldn't continue that question, "I'll shut up."
"That's right, Soulburner, and here is something that I have to tell you. Remember that card that was used against you during your duel against Frostgirl?" he asked as he looked at the TV and nodded as he was directly speaking to it, "Well, I have some news for you. I was the one to create it and I am the only one who has the antidote."
Theodore stood up as he walked towards the television in anger. "What?! Are you serious here?! Well you better give it to me right now and here!" he said as Varis didn't flinch at all.
"Theodore you do realize that he said that this was a message right? Not a live conversation over the TV." Flame said as Theodore realized it and backed off. He should've known that he wasn't anything like Maximillion Pegasus.
"If you are done mistaking this message for a live conversation, I have something to tell you." They all looked at them and they leaned in, ready for anything that he was about to tell them, "If you want to save your companion here and now, then I have a proposition. You come to the coordinates that are now on the screen."
The coordinates showed themselves as 48° 51′ 29.6″ N 2° 17′ 40.2″ E, "I suggest you take a picture of this because I will not show you that again. If you want to save her, you will follow those coordinates that I just gave in Link VRAINS and there we will meet. Don't worry about outside interference, I will make sure that we are the only ones that can enter and leave it. I hope you can understand that part." he said as everyone in Japan can tell that he narrowed his eyes and grinned at the same time.
"There are 3 more things that I have to tell you about this." he raised his hand and then his index finger, "One: I would suggest that you bring the Ignis, or more specifically the Fire Ignis with you, or this entire duel won't be happening." he then raised his middle finger, "Two: the conditions are simple if you win or lose, if you win, you get the antidote for Frostgirl, but if you lose, I get the Fire Ignis." he then raised his index finger, "And three: You better not be late." he said with a tone that didn't show a single positive emotion and said with a straight face that it was quite frightening.
"That is all. I will see you there." he said as he logged off.
There was silence in the air, and everyone could feel it. Theodore was silent the entire time contemplating things if he should continue doing something like this, Seigen was silent as well trying to piece together if would be wise to listen to the leader of the Knights of Hanoi and Flame studied all of their movement, trying to understand what the other 2 were thinking at the current moment.
It was a strange feeling that they haven't been like this before where everything is silent and it was like time has stopped for them. As then…
…Theodore stood up and took Flame with him.
"Wait, do not tell me that you are actually going to duel this man." said Seigen as he looked at his best friend, but he could see it in his eyes that he was being fully serious, however he didn't want to believe it.
"Of course. I- I can't risk it if it was a lie. Like you said, it would have been hard for them to make that video broadcast all over Japan in order to do this, so I don't think they would have faked that if going through all of the trouble." said Theodore as Seigen gripped his hand. He hates that now of all times he is using a sound proof argument. He really couldn't see them going all of their way to make this announcement in order to make this fake.
"That may be the case, but I have a question." they turned to the Fire Ignis, "What about him not being alone? What would happen if the rest of the Knights of Hanoi challenge you or help him in the duel?" He asked a very good question as that might be the case for him as he is the leader of the Knights of Hanoi.
"Well, we will then have to fight them all with all of our might then, because I am going to make sure that we come alive out of that." he said as they weren't sure about it. He sighed, "Besides, I can't believe I am going to say this, but I sorta trust him."
"Yeah, I have that thing too." Seigen said as he crossed his arms together.
"For some reason I felt as if I had heard that voice before and a one that I could trust, but I don't know why." Theodore said as he looked at Flame.
Flame, despite having issues between the Knights of Hanoi and their leader, felt as if he could trust them that they are going to be alone and all of his fears before, he felt that he could trust his origin more than anyone. "Fine, I do trust you Theodore, and I say that we should duel Varis." he said as Theodore smiled.
"Thanks Flame." he said as the AI nodded with him.
"Just," they turned to Seigen, "just be careful, man. Please. I don't want to lose you too." he said with a tone that was depressing to hear that his friend wanted to ask him about it, but he decided to do it later.
Theodore grinned, "Trust me. I will." he said as he then yelled, "It's Time To Link Into The VRAINS!" he yelled as his duel disk said, "LINK INTO THE VRAINS!"
In VRAINS
Soulburner appeared in Link VRAINS. He took a massive breath in, that didn't seem to help, and then let it out. This is going to be a long and painful duel against each other. He looked at Flame who nodded with him, as it was decided. He was going to win the duel, for her.
He jumped down from the roof as a hoverboard appeared under his feet and began riding the Data Storm beneath them as it was the fastest form of transportation, and with the added bonus of Flame's fire, it went even faster as now they went in blazing hot speeds that a normal eye couldn't track them down.
He checked the coordinates of the ones that he sent a while ago, and noticed that a massive red wall was protecting the destroyed land, but with the added help from Flame, he was able to bypass it. They went towards it and they all noticed that they weren't banned or logged off when they entered it, it must have been Varis' doing so only they can enter.
He turned his head backwards as he then saw the wall that was previously destroyed by the flames of Flame, were quickly reforming as if nothing bad happened to it. He even saw some avatars trying to get it so they could see the duel, but couldn't get in.
Soulburner decided to use one of the things that Seigen made on his, and their duel disks, the camera feature as he then activated it so Seigen can look at the duel and everything else that might happen. When he did, Seigen got a notification about it and he then decided to watch it.
In a couple of minutes, they arrived at their destination. It looked like Paris, but it was destroyed by Cracking Dragon and the Knight Of Hanoi, as buildings had slashes on them or were knocked over. The streets were covered in rubble beyond repair. The only thing left standing was the Eiffel Tower.
They then saw him, the person of the hour, the man whose message was seen in all of Japan, the leader of the Knights of Hanoi, the man that wanted to destroy Flame, the man who they had to defeat in order to get the antidote.
Varis.
Next to him was a little podium that was about their waist level, and on it, was her. The person that Soulburner…loved with all of his heart. Kiku Kamishirakawa, Frostgirl.
Soulburner eyed Varis as he stood there, a hand on his hip with a smirk on his face. He looked at Flame as he looked back and nodded to him, meaning that it was alright. They were ready for this duel. He took a deep breath as he then jumped down from his hoverboard and landed on one leg and on one knee, similar to a superhero.
"You've arrived," said Varis as Soulburner looked at him.
"Of course I did, how could I not? This is my only way to get her back." said Soulburner as his eyes narrowed as he looked at the leader of the Knights of Hanoi, "Tell me, why did you do all of this? Why did you put her in this much pain just to get Flame?"
"Flame? Is that what you called the Fire Ignis?" asked Varis as he shook his head as he looked at him, "How cute, but if you really want to know, I will tell you: This is the only way I can get to the Fire Ignis in a short amount of time."
"You did this all…because of me?" asked Flame as Varis' grin answered the question alone.
"Of course. Why did you think we have gone this much just to get to you exactly? Why did you think that we will create this much destruction in Link VRAINS?" The leader of the Knights Of Hanoi waved his hand to the destroyed wreckage that was Paris in Link VRAINS, "I did all of this because of you."
He then turned to Soulburner, "Don't you think that the Fire Ignis put you in danger more than anything? Think about it. If you haven't met him, then she wouldn't be in a coma by my virus, you wouldn't be targeted by the strongest bounty hunter in the world, you wouldn't be one of the biggest enemies to the Knights Of Hanoi and you would have lived in a peaceful life with no worries in your life."
Soulburner gritted his teeth. While he was right in some ways, he couldn't allow him to say that to Flame, one of the people that helped him while he was in a bad state. If it weren't for him, he doesn't want to know what would've happened if he didn't meet him, "What are you trying to get at?" he asked.
Varis smirked as he raised his hand, "I will give you this offer once. If you give me the Fire Ignis right now, I will give you the antidote right now." he said, shocking everyone.
"What?!/What?!" both Seigen and Flame yelled at the same time as Soulburner looked at him disgusted.
"Are you kidding me?! I will never do that to Flame! I will rather die than ever give it to you or the Knights of Hanoi! Especially after you did all of this." he said as he looked around, making it known to Varis what he meant. Flame looked at his partner, and if he had a mouth or had the ability to cry, he would've done that already.
Varis sighed, "I tried giving you the easy way out, but I guess you want the hard way." he said as from the tip of his hand appeared purple data from it, as it then turned quickly into a massive mass of data that went spiraling around his hands as he then turned to his left and threw the massive amount of data that was the equivalent to a Data Storm as it went around Paris.
All three of them looked at him shocked that he was able to do that, but they have to keep their guard up. This was the leader of the Knights of Hanoi after all.
Varis looked at him, "We are going to have a Speed Duel."
Soulburner looked at him and nodded, "That's fine by me, and I can't wait to defeat you and save her!"
"Oh? Then you better play the best possible duel you can, because unlike the lowly Knights that you fought before, this will be the hardest duel in your life." he said as he jumped on the Data Storm, and on his feet created a hoverboard that was red, white and yellow.
Soulburner and Flame looked at each other and nodded, as they jumped as then a hoverboard appeared on their feet as they began surfing the Data Storm.
They both looked at each other, they can feel that this won't be an easy duel, but Soulburner can't backdown now. He has too much to lose.
They both looked at each other as they yelled, "DUEL!" at the same time.
Varis: 4000 lp
Soulburner: 4000 lp
Speed Duel!
Stage 2 was finished for Varis, as now Stage 3 begins.
Authors Note:
DONE! Sorry that it took me a week to update this and something that doesn't even have a duel here!
Alright for the chapter itself, I really liked how different it is to the canon of VRAINS and I do like how certain elements were changed or improved, and I gotta be honest, the next two duels are going to be rough. I do have some combos planned for that, but it is going to be hard for me to write them.
I have changed certain things from the canon of VRAINS, like a certain brown haired girl. What do I mean by that? Well, you will find out soon enough. Why does Akira recognize that voice? Again, soon you will find out.
I have a fanfiction idea that is basically before the last duel in GX, in which Jaden looks at Yugi's deck, and then a soul appears next to it, which then, allows Jaden Yuki to duel the strongest duelist of all time, with the strongest deck, in order to get something back that he didn't know he lost. Who I am talking about? Yusaku Fujiki. A duel between two of my favourite Yugioh protagonists would be awesome to see and I might do it.
I have to update Yugioh GX: Rewrite! So that's about it! See ya!
