Time To Answer The Reviews:

Satoshi Ketchum: Thanks.

Zorc The Dark: Thanks.

Kelly Kimble: Haven't really thought about it yet, but they are okay, I guess, but I do not like how they changed the Master Duel anime from it. The only Master Duel thing we got was the OCG Structure manga, which is pretty decent.

Guest: Actually, it has nothing to do with that movie. I have named myself as da_fuck, but backwards.

Ulrich362: Thanks.

Akira sighed as he was on his black laptop as he was typing away, doing his job as he was demoted by the higher ups of SOL Tech, which a couple of jobs that he had to do for SOL Tech, and it wasn't specific like filing the paperwork, look over each and every avatar in Link VRAINS, adding new monsters to Link VRAINS, trying to beta try a new card and so on and so forth.

Link VRAINS was opened after a few days of being closed, but the only changes of the game were the monsters and way less hackers, even though the trio were still able to get in with no problem, which Stormrider gave them an L sign in the sky.

This office was actually different from the one he had when he was the chief of security as it was a small one with a brown table, a black laptop, a window behind him which he hit his head on more times than he would like to admit and to his left were some storages that had access to most of the electricity of SOL Tech, and on his table was a framed picture of the person that he cared deeply the most in the entire world: his sister, Skye Zaizen.

The current picture is what she currently looks like as she had a short bob cut of brown colour and yellow eyes. It did help Akira with the current moment as he wanted to help her, more than anything, especially after what happened to her in the past which he blames himself for.

It was the main reason why he even became the chief of security because it was one of the highest paid jobs, so he could help her, financially and, what he hopes for the most, emotionally, which is the reason why now, he has to work almost double the amount he already had to just to even get close to that.

It was the reason why he looks more tired than before as he stayed up all night just to finish a task given to him by the higher ups, and especially from Kitamura, the guy that has the most problems with.

It was strange that a man that might honestly be the biggest control freak on the planet as he threaten to cut their salary by 50% every single minute as well making them eat on the job because he doesn't want them to have breaks, but at the same time, yells at them for eating at the job.

How he wasn't fired by now is a mystery on par with how the Egyptians built the Pyramids.

Currently, he was in his office trying to look over the history of SOL Tech, as he tried to hack the system, but he wasn't skilled enough to even get past the first firewall, they were extremely well made unsurprisingly, but he hated of what they saw, or better yet, what he didn't see.

The history was….not well made and it only went down to the past 6 years, but everything before it was inaccessible for strange reasons. The most he ever saw of the history from possibly an unworthy source was 8 years, which should be fine, but there were several problems with it.

The first one was that SOL Tech was founded 15 years ago at the very best, which means that they weren't even showing half of the amount of years they were up and most of it was covered up.

The second one was from what he heard from his girlfriend, that the incident that Soulburner talked about was 10 years ago, which even Varis knew what he was talking about, which made him interested, but so far nothing.

Nothing could honestly work with that, and it angered him to no end that it couldn't be accessed in the slightest, and he couldn't access either Soulburner, Frostgirl or Stormrider's avatars because he heard that from Emma's experience, it was basically impossible to do so as it was blocked by a Data Storm and a powerful firewall.

It was shocking that it was even possible and from what he had seen, it was shown that they were competent to even do that, but maybe it was a facade. Maybe they were just acting like complete buffoons, and they were all one step ahead.

Meanwhile, for no particular reason, Theodore held up a bag of marshmallows, "Hey guys, do you think I can fit 15 marshmallows in my mouth?" he asked as the rest of his friends looked at him.

"You are a hazard to society, Teddy." said Kiku to her boyfriend.

"And a coward!" Seigen said as he turned from Kiku to his best friend, "Do 20!"

Flame looked at the three as he just realized that he was working with these three to defeat the Knights of Hanoi, even though they are complete buffoons.

Akira just had thought to himself that he might have made the biggest lie on the planet, but shook it off, it wasn't a big deal, not at all. He looked over to his laptop and began to do some more research on the matter, he had to continue this no matter how hard it might be.

INTRO!

(A/N: Play Haruka Mirai From Black Clover)

We see six different Ignis flying around the Cyberse, all with their accompanying archetypes, with Flame escaping the Cyberse in the hands of Theodore Hamilton as a second later, his appearance changed that of Soulburner as he began walking slowly with a determined look on his face. As then a Duel Monsters card appeared on the screen which was flipped over to reveal the words, "Bring The Heat, Soulburner!"

Grey words can't make anything happen

We then see Theodore facing backwards to a boy with silver hair and blue eyes, but was 2 years older than him as they both raised their heads, as they turned to Soulburner and Varis as they turned around as Salamangreat Heatleo and Borreload Dragon striked each other at the same time.

I know, yeah I know

Soulburner covered his face from the dust of the explosion as Varis was floating above him as he went flying on his duel board.

Wishing to fly freely across the sky

Soulburner then began to chase him with a duel board of his own with a determined face.

I dreamed it all my life

Once he got close, he somehow managed to dodge an attack from Specter's Sunavalon monsters as the Liutenents of the Hanoi were along with him.

Step by step I go, though it's a doubtful world! Don't care how much I fall! Instinct is my guide, I never give up!

As soon as they appeared, Frostgirl, Stormrider and the Gore appeared with him to assist him in this match as Soulburner grinned ear to ear as they each faced one of the Knights of Hanoi, with Gore fighting Genome with his Gouki Suprex and Riscorpio as Genome had X-Kralwer Neurogos, Frostgirl having out her Nekroz Of Trishula on the field while Baira had her Dark Mummy Surgical Forceps, Stormrider with his Cerulean Sacred Phoenix Of Nephthys against Faust's Worm Zero as Soulburner passed Specter as his scarf hit the screen as a new transition was made.

To faraway future, I burst out running

We then see Soulburner flying on a duel board as then Stormrider and Frostgirl were near them, both with grins on their faces as Frostgirl winked Soulburner whose face flushed red for some time as then Flame appeared as he began flying with fire on his feet.

Go beyond even the unseen fears

Gore was then seen on a ring with his new Gouki XYZ monster with the kids looking excited with stars in their faces as he left out a dramatic roar for the audience.

The vision I had, so I can be myself

Akira was then seen with a determined face as he held a picture of his younger sister when she was younger as he then gritted his teeth. He looked down as tears went down his face as he remembered their past.

Someday I will write the next page

Ghost Gal then appeared with a saddened face as she saw Akira, as then the man raised walked towards the data bank of SOL Tech.

You are my hope

He then turned around as he saw Soulburner coming near them.

Like that page from someday

Soulburner then summoned out Salamangreat Miragestellio and Pyro Phoenix as Akira summoned out Tindangle Acute Cerberus as the two monsters clashed.

I was able to meet you

While the battle was commencing, Frostgirl watched the duel with a concerned face, but Stormrider's face wasn't shown as well as tears went down his face.

I call this a miracle.

We then see Kiku and Theodore with their arms opened towards Seigen as Flame was carrying the same motion as he had tears in his eyes as he then smiled as he fell to their embrace. Then a new screen was made as Theodore, Flame, Kiku and Seigen were smiling at the screen with Varis looking at them with his back turned against them with a wicked smile on his face.

BRING THE HEAT, SOULBURNER! - THE KNIGHTS OF HANOI!

(A/N: End Theme.)

Akira sighed as he leaned back on his chair as he felt like he needed to sleep as he hasn't slept for a few days, he really needs some sleep. He zoned for a second as he continued to type on his computer, but man it was getting tough as he wanted to just take a nap as he can see the bags under his eyes from the screen.

How was that even possible?

Anyway, Hayami then walked into his office, with a blush on her face as per usual, with a steaming cup of coffee that would melt any taste buds on someone to the point that they would be called tastenemies. Just what Akira needed at the moment.

"Here you go, mister Akira sir!" said Hayami as she approached him, but she nearly slipped on the floor in which there was nothing on it. She is very clumsy. She then placed the cup of coffee on his desk, "Enjoy."

"Thanks, but you didn't have to do it," he said as Hayami thought otherwise due to his bags under his eyes.

He took the cup of coffee and he felt his tongue on fire due to the coffee so much that it could be legally be classed as a house fire. So nothing different from the regular coffee he drinks.

He placed the coffee down as he looked at her, "May I ask you something, Hayami?"

Hayami's blush grew deeper as she looked at him, "Oh? Yes of course you can! I am fre-"

"For the 14th time, I am taken."

"Dang it." Hayami snapped her fingers right in front of him. "Sure, what was the question?"

"I am just curious about how long you have been working for SOL Tech?" he asked as Hayami raised her hand and placed a finger on her chin to think about it, but then looked back to Akira.

"I believe for 3 years, why?" she answered as Akira folded his hand in a way that showed he wasn't glad to hear those results.

"So you don't know anything about the data from a decade ago, or am I wrong?" he asked as he turned his eye to Hayami who shook her head.

"No, I want to help you with that, but my security clearance isn't strong enough for something like that I am afraid." she said as she scratched her arm, but Akira sighed.

"No, no, it is alright, it just that I am close, but I feel like there is a wall separating me from them which I can't see." he said as he leaned back to his chair as he placed his chin on his hands. "Thanks to my demotion, I can't access any of the data from that long ago, which hinders my plan a bit, but I do know someone that would help me in this situation." he thought to himself.

He pulled out his phone, which obviously got him yelled at by Kitamura who was looking over him with a camera, but thankfully he did mute the camera so he didn't hear him. Hayami was also thankful for that, her head still ringing because of his yelling.

He typed a couple of messages, some were filled with a ludicrous amount of kissing emojis, which he makes sure that Hayami doesn't see that he sent one as well, which caused even more messages, this time that were more teasing.

After a couple of minutes Hayami looked at him with the most confused look he has ever seen on her face. That wasn't one that was blushing.

A Few Hours Later

It has been a couple of hours after Akira massaged Emma with something important about the trio that were currently fighting the Knights Of Hanoi.

He went to a place where they could look at the beautiful ocean where you could see the sparkling water from a mile away, which of course to Emma, meant a lot of teasing which he had to endure.

After about ten minutes of waiting, he heard a motorcycle stop using the engine, which he turned around and saw his girlfriend as she took off her helmet and swiped her head. As soon as she did, she looked at Akira.

"You know, Aki, we really gotta stop meeting up so often or people are gonna think we are up to something." she said with a grin as Akira sighed, already knowing what she was implying.

"Well, let them think, we have some urgent matters to make." he said as he turned around… just as he quickly turned around, "You know what I meant."

"I have no idea what you were talking about." she lied to the point even a five year old could tell she was lying.

Akira pinched the edge of his nose, "Just… Can you please talk professionally for five minutes?"

"Fine." she moaned when she said that, hating the fact that she isn't gonna tease him to no ends. She ignored Akira mumbling a "Thank you." as she walked over to him as she noticed something in his eyes.

No, not the beautiful purple eyes, no no, but the bags under his eyes. "Aki, when's the last time you slept?"

Akira raised his head to think about it, but then after 5 seconds of thinking about it, he looked back at her and said, "On Thursday."

Emma gasped as she looked at him, "Today's Tuesday."

"Oh." said Akira as he blinked slowly and slowly. "Interesting."

"You haven't slept for a week?!" she yelled at him as Akira shook his head as he raised his hand.

"No, no, no, you are mistaken," he said as she thought that he was just joking, which shouldn't be possible, there is no way that THE Akira Zaizen knows how to make a joke, "Almost a week."

Her mouth stayed in the form of an O, as she began nodding her head, "Alright, it is confirmed, after this conversation, I am dragging you to your apartment so you can sleep."

"You are overreacting."

"Overreacting?! Akira," oh no she used his full name, "You look like you will fall asleep any second now! In fact, I think that I am underreacting!"

"But-"

"No buts! Listen here mister, after this conversation, I am dragging your fine ass to your apartment so you could sleep whetever you like it or not! I am not and won't be taking a no for an answer!"

Akira didn't budge, not at all. He did find that threat ho-, best not to think about it, but was he afraid of it? Not really, it could be worse, but he could handle his suit getting dirty. He does have several spares lying around.

"Look, Emma, I know that you are worried about me, and I do love that you care about me, but I am telling you that I am fine and that I don't need sleep, which I hope you can understand." he said as Emma raised an eyebrow.

She did have an ace up her sleeve, the ace in the deck if you will, and that's something that no matter how determined Akira may be, he will always have this one weakness of his. "I will tell Skye of what you are doing plus that you haven't slept in days."

Akira widened his eyes. Oh.

Oh, she is serious about this.

Akira gulped, "You make a fantastic argument Emma and I am a fool for thinking otherwise. I am going straight to bed." he said as he began walking away, but was pulled back by Emma.

"Oh no, no, no. You are not going to bed right now, I did say that you are going after this conversation, didn't we?" she asked with a grin as Akira rolled his eyes at.

Damn her and how smart she is. And beautiful. And charming. And funny. And-

Okay he is getting distracted. Where was he again? Man, he really does have to go to sleep.

Oh yeah, the new news and the plan to get into SOL Tech's Database.

Kinda forgot about that.

Akira sighed as he walked next to the rail of the bridge near the beautiful blue ocean and placed his hands on them, while Emma crossed her arms as her back faced the wall of it.

"So, as you may recall about my demotion, I am no longer the security manager of Link VRAINS and so my access to SOL Tech's data is limited at best as all of the data I could look at aren't accessible anymore." said Akira as Emma nodded, she knew all too well about it.

She had to learn that from her previous job as a bounty hunter as she worked with Akira and The Shepherd with it as they did have some access to it when working there, but they stopped doing it a long time ago while Shepherd continued it.

As much as they want to contact The Shepherd for the data since he was one of the few people who can access it as he, despite being banned from Link VRAINS at the current moment, still had access to SOL Tech's databank, they knew it would be impossible especially after what Akira did to him.

"Yeah, that sucks to hear that you lost your title to some chum. What was his name again?" she turned to Akira, "Kibamaru? Kieto?" she wasn't even joking, she was being genuine as she forgot the man's name.

"Kitamura." he said. "Even though his methods as a security manager are questionable at best, what he does succeed in is creating Dueling AIs that are going to appear in Link VRAINS for about a week." he said with seriousness in his voice.

It was true. Despite Kitamura being grated to listen to, he was still somewhat respected because of the way he made possibly the most advanced Dueling AI so far which had new monsters such as the Tentacluster monsters. He was planning on using them to defeat every Knight of Hanoi member in one raid, which he would notify players of in advance so that they wouldn't be caught in misfire, and by chance the trio so they can get their Ignis.

"Interesting to learn about that, I have to watch that unfold," she said as Akira slightly nodded, "But anyway, why do you need me for this?" she asked as Akira looked at her.

"Well, because both of us know that out of both of us here, you are the best at hacking, and I do need your help." he said as Emma raised an eyebrow at that.

"Really? And what is it?" she asked as Akira turned to her.

"I need you, to help me to find a way to get into the SOL Tech's databank, so I could learn about what happened 10 years ago, and especially from what Soulburner told to Varis, not to mention that incident with her, I need to learn what happened 10 years ago and if SOL Tech had anything to do with it." he said as Emma nodded because she understood what that meant.

"I see." she said.

"And I don't care how long it takes me to learn the truth of SOL Tech or the price, so," Akira raised his arm, "how much do you want for the amount to do that for me? Name your price." he said, but he was shocked when Emma raised her hand at that.

"No, no, I don't need the money to do that." Wait what?

She doesn't want the money to do that?

"You don't want the money?" Akira was perplexed. This was the first time ever since they met that she didn't want the money to do something. "Why?"

"You are complaining?"

"No, I am just shocked."

"Oh, okay yeah that does make sense," she nodded for a bit as then she stopped, "Well, it is because I did start that a few days ago and I am half way of it, so it would be a waste of money to get me to do something I already have started." she said as Akira nodded for a bit.

"Alright. So is that everything that you want to talk about for the job?" he asked as Emma was silent for a moment.

Truth is that she has a plan that might sound idiotic, but it would make this job easier to access after she was done hacking SOL Tech so they could enter SOL Tech's databank, which was to duel either of the three who are currently fighting the Knights Of Hanoi for the Fire Ignis, Flame, but she will be silent about that.

"No, I think that is all." said Emma as Akira nodded.

"Well, that's good to hear, so I am off." said Akira as he began walking to SOL Tech, but was stopped as soon as he felt Emma grabbing him by his suit. He turned around, slowly blinking, not knowing why she did it.

"Oh no, no, no, no. Remember what I said about me dragging your fine ass to your house so you can finally sleep?" Emma asked as Akira tried to say something back.

"But-"

"I said no buts mister."

"But what about my job?"

"I will notify them that you are sick for now, don't worry." she said as she then began dragging Akira by his arm, who didn't even put up a fight anymore as his eyes slowly began closing as he could finally go to sleep. It took him 5 days to do it.

She went to his apartment, dragged him to an elevator, ignoring the looks from the son and the father who were in the same elevator, got him into his apartment, where Skye wasn't at home because she was at Cafe Nom, opened the door to his room, placed him on his bed, and then locked the doors, placed the keys under the mat so Skye could use it for later, and began walking back to her motorcycle.

It might be risky to leave her motorcycle there, but she always had a backup where if someone got on it without her permission, it would trap the person on it and drive towards the nearest police station so they could arrest the person who almost stole her motorcycle.

It did happen 5 times in the past, and she loved it every time. It never got old.

She then got on her motorcycle and drove to her apartment, when she was in her casual clothes, where it was just her motorcycle outfit if it was actually comfortable to wear and her hair was tied up with a bun.

Emma then sat on her couch and began typing at her laptop, trying to hack into the SOL Tech mainframe for the access of its databank and it was actually going swimmingly. Sure the firewall was tough to break, but it was nothing compared to the Shepherd's, which she did break through one of them. Sure it was the weakest one of his, but it was 100 times stronger than these ones.

She rubbed her shoulder everytime she remembers breaking through one of his firewalls, as she tried her damndest to break every single firewall there is from it, as it felt like as soon as she broke through one of them, another just popped up, but thankfully, after half an hour of her blood and sweat, she managed to destroy the last firewall from SOL Tech, and tried to make it noticeable so the higher ups don't see it.

She looked over and noticed a lot of pathways through SOL Tech, and saw the one with the least amount of deathtraps coming from it was also the longest one, but thankfully it does lead straight towards the databank, which she was thankful for.

Now, all she has to do is link it up to her duel disk and wait for Akira to wake up and then BAM! Easy access to the databank, but there was also a different mission.

To get to the Ignis, and it was hard to do it, and hard to think of a plan. She can't just go in Link VRAINS, publicly ask for a duel, and then actually show up with Link VRAINS so the higher ups of SOL Tech would see the duel and the stakes.

So the place isn't an issue, it is simply a somewhat purple place where they can duel as no one can see it, which she did a few times and the new one that she made was the best one that could be fixed later on.

But finding one of them is hard, because how on Earth is she supposed to do that? If the Knights Of Hanoi and SOL Tech couldn't do it, then how could she do it. For one, their IDs don't show up and can't be accessed.

Two, they don't live near them so it was a bust and impossible. And thirdly, she can't find them anywhere online.

She thought to herself, that they have to be geniuses that not even them could track, as their plans were near full proof and was like an invincible wall. They might be the smartest people she could possibly meet.

Meanwhile, for no particular reason, Seigen popped his head out of Kiku's living room, as they were the only ones home, to see Kiku and Theodore snuggling together, but he had to ruin the mood, "Oh, guys. I burnt the water."

The two look at him with confusion, understandably since he broke one of the laws of physics. Kiku began yelling at him, "Seigen, how the fu-"

Suddenly, Emma thought she just made the biggest lie on the planet.

She shook it off and sighed. There is almost no way to get to them and get the Ignis in one place, but at least one of the objectives were complete and that made her feel good.

She thought to herself that maybe she could relax for the rest of the day and what better way then to go to Into The Gossip page, and read about the new news about the people of Link VRAINS. So far, after a week of not being there, she was kind of in shock to see the amount of news.

It was minor like The Gore winning another tournament and announcing that SOL Tech are creating new Gouki monsters for him after the tournament, not to mention pictures of him going to an orphanage with gifts in his arms.

Not to mention, there was some new news about the Angelmaker stuff where the supposed Playmaker and Blue Angel were seen hanging out with both of them having very noticeable blushes, and as the self proclaimed Number 1 Angelmaker shipper, she had to save that.

Suddenly, a user that goes by the name of StardustMaiden felt the disturbance of the force as she was writing a 5th Angelmaker fic that month. She stood up, "I feel challenged."

There were also some important news, but the one that they can't shut up is the Frostburn news and that they are official, which might or might not have caused to jump on her feet, clap her hands in celebration and calling the other types of shippers fools and then sit down and began writing about it.

She also saw a user by the name of "StormNephpthys" as he was writing comments that can be summarized of this: and they thought that Stormrider could be in a relationship, lmao.

Now, she realized a few things about this user that might have give her hints that this might be Stormrider. For one: His name could be a reference to his deck and the first part of his name. For second: He seemed to know something that only Stormrider could know. For third: It was quite concerning at how many times he said that man was AroAce, which was fine, but the amount of times is just weird not to be a coincidence.

And the last one: that man's profile picture was Stormrider taking a selfie. How on Earth can he take that when the only person, other than his two friends and Ignis, was The Gore?

That is just impressive. Like how Peter Parker takes the best Spiderman pictures, despite every other reporter getting at best him in a blurry picture while swinging around New York City.

Then Gears in her head began moving, and she had an idea, a great idea. She picked his profile picture, if he was Stormrider it would help her, but if he isn't it wouldn't matter since the emails would disappear after 24 hours, and began writing an email.

She wanted to hack it, but for some reason, he was the only one that wasn't hackable or traceable. How is that even possible?

She began typing an email, explaining what she wanted to do, the place and time, the price for both players if they win and the location which she sent so they could duel for the Fire Ignis. After she was done with the email and then sent it to Stormrider's email.

What she didn't know was that Seigen, for once in his life, was actually fast asleep as not even the sounds of someone getting shot at could wake him up, as his friends were also sleeping.

The Next Day

It was the next day, otherwise known as a week after Theodore and Kiku finally got together, which actually wasn't a bigger deal then they thought. Seigen, for one, acted like he wasn't spying on his two best friends and didn't record the entire confession and just congratulated them while at the same time saying things like "Finally, it took you guys a decade to do it."

Were they that oblivious?

They wouldn't ask Flame since he immediately answered that question, even though he knew them for like months at best. Wow, they were oblivious.

The reactions for their family when they found out? Well it was simple, Kiku's dad fell unconscious when he said that, and then did again once he found out that she was telling the truth, but thankfully somewhat accepted it because it was Theodore, how could anyone hate him? Kiku's mom was supportive of it like any good mother would, Kiki just rolled his eyes and continued watching stuff on her tablet which Kiku had to repress the motion of slapping her little brother.

Theodore's grandparents thought this one single thought, "Wait, you two weren't dating already?"

Okay, were they that oblivious? Because this is just sad at this point.

On Monday, where they were holding hands with blushes on their faces while walking, everyone put the two and two together and figured it out.

Some were even giving money as it was a bet to see if they were or weren't dating, which they somehow didn't notice at all. Wait, was Seigen getting all that money? Was he the one that staged that bet?

They can't decide if they want to hate him or be impressed with it… or both.

The days went like normal, but there was one difference during the day, or well the ones that anyone with eyes could see, them looking at each other in the eyes. They really needed to get a room because it was somewhat uncomfortable to be around. What they didn't see were them holding hands under the table.

Seigen just looked bored out of his mind as he was used to it at this point.

They were currently in Theodore's house as they were doing two things at the same time. Studying for the upcoming exam for tomorrow and Seigen trying to hack into SOL Tech's mainframe, but so far no luck.

Flame was just sitting on the floor, with pure boredom as he looked through the internet for something new. He did find something called Twitter, which after about two minutes of going through it, made him feel like he lost all of his brain cells. So a normal day hanging out with Theodore in a nutshell.

What they were studying was Math, which is the bane for so many students' existence. Theodore was in the books, trying his hardest to understand the subject, but wasn't going through it easily. Heck, Kiku was even tutoring him, but he still didn't understand that.

"Shit." said Seigen as he was stopped by another firewall. Flame looked at him.

"Is something of the matter, Seigen?" asked Flame as Seigen looked at him.

"It's these damn firewalls of SOL Tech, once I am done with one of them, it feels like there is another." he said as he finished another one, but another appeared on the screen which nearly destroy his laptop.

"I see. Well, this is the largest company we know of, so it isn't that big of a stretch." said Flame as Seigen nodded with that.

"Yeah, but look at this!" he said as he went back for a moment so Flame could see just how many firewalls he had to break. "How many are there?!"

Flame looked at the screen and said, "About 120 firewalls."

"Too damn many." he said as he finished one more firewall, but another popped up. Seigen raised his fist in anger, almost pulling out a real punch for once, but was somewhat stopped by Flame who put his hand on his arm.

"I think you should have a little break, I am afraid that you will kill someone if you don't." said Flame as Seigen took deep breaths.

"Yeah, you are right. I need a break, or I might actually kill someone." he said as he closed the tab, and pulled out another tab. "Let's see if I have any email." he said as he saw something that intrigued him and Flame.

An email from Alter Gal. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at Flame, who merely shrugged his shoulders.

He then opened it and began reading it.

Both of their eyes widened once they read the email as it was something that could help them learn the truth of that incident. It had a key to a place where they have to duel, a reason and a reward for both duelists if one of them wins the duel.

"Uhh, guys?" Kiku and Theodore looked at him, "I think you should see this." they looked at each other before shrugging as they sat near him and began reading it with him.

Their eyes widened when they read all about the details.

"Uhm, what is this?" asked Theodore as Seigen didn't even look at him.

"It is a duel request from someone that might have the keys for SOL Tech's mainframe and our way to get the data from them." said Seigen as they nodded to that.

"Ok yeah, but why would we trust them?" asked Theodore as that was a reasonable question.

"Well, it's because they somehow managed to get to my email address, and my email can not be tracked at all, and it can't be easy since no one other than you guys have found it." he said as they looked at the rest of the emails, but didn't see much.

He forgot to mention that even if they did find it a trap, he could just get him out of Link VRAINS since thanks to a bit of training, nothing can stop him from getting someone out of something if they are trapped.

They were about to ask why does he get all of the action, but then they remembered one person in this room of why exactly does he always get the action. Flame.

Theodore sighed as he looked at Flame, "Ya' ready, Flame to get a little shortcut of our new plan?"

Flame nodded, "Ready as ever, Theodore." Theodore smiled as he grabbed his duel disk and placed it on his arm.

"Wait a minute, we haven't plugged in the location." said Kiku as she held a cable.

"Yeah dude, wait a second, I need to download the location for this." said Seigen as Theodore sat down, placed his arm next to the computer as he connected the cable, and after a minute or so of waiting, the location was downloaded.

He stood up, nodded to his friends and yelled, "It's Time To Link Into The Vrains." he said as his duel disk said, "Into The Vrains!" as then he fell unconscious, on the floor, hard.

Kiku and Seigen cringed at that.

In Link VRAINS

Soulburner and Flame arrived in a place that was dark and gloomy, with purple clouds covering the area with green data inside of them, going around it as a way to show this is still Link VRAINS, with a long road of Data Material that they can have Speed Duel.

He looked around to see the place, impressed at how it looked while Kiku and Seigen could look at what was happening for good measure.

As then he heard a voice behind him, "Finally, I thought you would never show up." Flame and Soulburner turned around to see a woman with a black mask covering the lower part of her face with grey eyes. Her hair was purple at the front and on the left side of her face while the rest of her hair was gray as well.

She wore a uniform that went down to her thighs, that was dark blue that was in the middle of her body, black on the side with gray lining separating the two. She wore a belt on her hips, on her left leg with a black deck box, while wearing black leggings with black fingerless gloves and purple duel disk on her right arm.

"Wha- Who are you?!" yelled Soulburner as he pointed at the mysterious person.

"Don't you know that pointing at someone is rude?," said the person as she shook her head, "Well, if you want to know, I am the person that sent you that email, the person that will duel you for that Ai, but if you want a name, then call me Ghost Gal."

Soulburner nodded, "Okay, well I am Soulburner, but you probably knew that already." he said.

Ghost Gal looked at him, "I said your name, why wouldn't I know who you are?"

Soulburner scratched the back of his neck, "Yeah, that is a pretty stupid move, I guess." he said.

Flame looked at her, "While you know my companion here, you must also know about me."

"Well, yeah, SOL Tech and The Knights of Hanoi are trying their hardest to get to you, why wouldn't I know you? And I thought AIs are supposed to be smart."

"Hey, I have a name."

"Which is?" asked Ghost Gal as Flame coughed into his hand and began.

"It's Flame. E." he began as Soulburner rolled his eyes when he did it, and so did Kiku and Seigen, "F is for fantastic, L is for lovely, A is admirable, M is marvelous and E is for entertaining! Flame!" he said as Ghost Gal merely nodded.

She then looked at Soulburner, "Does he do that every time?"

"Every time he meets someone or becomes friends with." he said as the only person he didn't do that to is Varis, which was understandable.

"Ahh, okay, interesting." she said as she then looked at Soulburner, "Well anyway," Flame was offended that she almost automatically ignored her, "You might be wondering why I challenged you."

"Isn't it because you have the key to get into SOL Tech's databank?" he guessed as Ghost Gal nodded.

"You understood? Good, good to know that." she nodded as then on her hands appeared data that was gold, similar to Varis' virus, but this one was harmful compared to that virus.

"In this little card here, will give you the key to get into SOL Tech's database, and you have access to that incident 10 years ago." she said as Soulburner grinned.

"Great! Thank you so much about tha-"

"Oh, I won't give it to you for free," the card disappeared into thin air as Ghost Gal place a hand on her hip, "You have to win it if you want to get it." she said.

"Ahh dang it!" he yelled as Flame looked at him.

"Did you forget that she wanted a duel for that key, right?" he asked as Soulburner looked at him.

"Yeah, I kinda forgot about that last part." said Soulburner as his partner shook his head in disappointment.

Soulburner then realized something, "Wait, why do you have that key?"

Ghost Gal chucked, "Oh, in simple words, you aren't the only ones that want to know what happened 10 years ago." she said as Soulburner wanted to ask a question about that, who also wants to know about that detail, but something tells him that she won't answer that question.

He did have a different one. "So why don't you use it right now?" he asked as Ghost Gal and Flame looked at him, weirdly.

"Uhm, what?"

"What she said, what?" asked Ghost Gal and Flame looked at him weirdly as did Kiku and Seigen as well.

"I mean, you also want to know about the secrets of 10 years ago, and you do have a key to get into their database with no one else able to get to it other than you, so why don't you just use it right now as no one would know." he said as everyone thought about that.

"Did- Did he just make a good point?" asked Seigen as Kiku looked at him.

"I think he did." she said.

"You made an actual good argument… Who are you and what have you done to Soulburner?" asked Flame as Soulburner looked hurtful at that.

Ghost Gal shook her head as she said, "Well that is a good point, but I have reasons for that."

"Which are?"

"Well, the first one is because someone who also wants to know is sleeping at the current moment," she said as they looked at her because that is the weirdest reason they have ever heard.

"The second one is because, you intrigue me Soulburner," they looked at her, "How the stubborn, brave, a person with a can-do attitude, would risk their life for someone like Frostgirl. I ship it."

There were 4 different reactions to that. Soulburner looked at her in confusion about that whole boat thing, Flame would have his mouth in an O shape if he had one, Seigen laughed his ass off and Kiku was drinking a glass of water, so she did a spit take on that, which she then got her face red, covered her face with her hands and roll down the floor.

"What?" That's all that Soulburner could say at the moment.

"Simple. I ship it." she said simply. It was quiet for a minute or so.

She continued, "And the final point is that your AI, or Flame, is highly valuable to SOL Tech, and I thought, why not? Why not will I sell it to SOL Tech to get some bank from it after I win the duel." Their eyes widened when she said.

"Wait, you are gonna sell him?!" Soulburner yelled as Ghost Gal nodded.

"You wretched fiend! You think that you are going to sell me and get away with it?!" Flame turned to his partner, "Soulburner, I know this may sound crazy, but you should duel her for the keys!"

"Wait, what?!" He turned to his partner, "I can't man, I don't want to lose you!"

"Oh, don't worry about that. If you can defeat Varis, granted he did held back, but still, if you beat him, you can for sure beat her and get that key!" he said as Soulburner didn't look convinced.

"Are you sure about this?" he asked as Flame nodded.

"Of course, I believe in you that you can do it." he said as Soulburner smiled at him.

"Thanks, man." he said as he then turned to Ghost Gal with a determined look on his face, "Alright, I accept this challenge! You give me the key if I win!"

"And you will give me Flame if I win." she said as she crossed her arms.

Soulburner gritted his teeth, "Deal."

Ghost Gal smirked, but it wasn't seen due to the mask. "Good, and follow me." she said as she began running towards the edge of the platform and jumped from it as then a purple duel board appeared on her feet.

Soulburner did the same as then a red one appeared.

They looked at each other as then they yelled, "DUEL!"

Ghost Gal: 4000 lp

Soulburner: 4000 lp

Speed Duel!

Turn 1.

"Ladies first!" yelled Ghost Gal as she swiped her hand to reveal 4 cards in her hand. She looked over her hand and grinned, it was a great way to start the duel off and a way to get some monsters on her field, but not on this turn though.

There was an advantage to this duel to her favour is that she knows her opponent's Skill and deck, but they have no idea about hers, which she can't wait to show off.

"I'll start things off by normal summoning my Altergeist Marionetter in attack mode!" she yelled as then a fiend that resembled that of Medusa appeared on the field. It had two long ears with yellow and light blue colouring, a metallic body as her torso was a combination of light blue, yellow and gray, as her hands were red with golden bracelets on her hand, with wires all around her body, with the bottom part of her body being that a spaceship with it being light blue, purple, pink and dark green on the bottom.

(Altergeist Marionetter: Level 4 - Light Spellcaster - Attack: 1600. Defense: 1700.)

"Altergeist?" asked Soulburner as he turned towards his partner, "Hey, do you know anything about that archetype?" he asked as Flame shook his head.

"I am afraid that this is my first time seeing those types of monsters so I can't comment on them." Flame answered as Soulburner clicked his tongue.

"Well, if you two boys want to know my monster's effect, it is pretty simple. Once it is normal summoned, I get to set 1 Altergeist Trap card from my deck directly to my field." she said as a card appeared on the top of her deck to which she took it and immediately set it as a card was set vertically.

Flame narrowed his eyes at the effect as Soulburner tried to guess how the deck works, but so far nothing.

She looked over to her hand, but it was filled with monsters, so she had nothing else to do. "That's all, your move, Soulburner." she said.

(A/N: Play Jack Atlas - Battle Theme.)

Turn 2. Soulburner - 4000 lp - 4 cards

"Alright, I may not know what your monster does or even the theme of your deck, but know that won't stop me! I draw!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as he drew the top card of his deck with the speed of a flaming bull.

He then looked at the card he just drew and smirked. Only one more card away from summoning it.

He placed it in his hand as he then took a card from his hand, "How about I start things off with a new monster of mine?! Come out, Salamangreat Zebroid X!" he said as he slammed the card on his duel disk as then on his side appeared a new monster of his.

It was a mix of a zebra and an equine, as its hooves were purple and black, the tail and head was purple, eyes red as magma, around its neck and one of its legs silver wrapped around them, as the rest of the body was was the colour gray with fire coming out of it on the back side of it.

(Salamangreat Zebroid X: Level 4 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1000.)

"That's not all! The effect of one of our Salamangreat monster's effect activates in the hand!" Soulburner reached for one of the cards in his hand, "When a Salamangreat monster is summoned, we get to special summon Salamangreat Fowl from our hand!" Flame yelled as Soulburner slammed the card on his duel disk.

On his side of the field appeared a peacock. On the top of its head were 5 crystals, and on the back there were 7 of them as its feathers ranged from blue to dark green, as the skin of it was dark blue and black, as its feet were jet black as on the back of it was fire coming out of it.

The two monster screeched when they were summoned.

(Salamangreat Fowl: Level 4 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 1800. Defense: 200.)

"The near same strategy you used against your first appearance? You really are a one trick pony." said Ghost Gal as Soulburner smirked.

"That may not be the case here, since I have new tricks up my sleeve, but for now, let's stick with the classics! I blaze the circuit!" he yelled as fire appeared from the tip of his fingers as a circuit appeared from it, "The Summoning Conditions is one Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster, so I set my Fowl in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as his monster went to one of the Link Arrows in blazing speeds.

"I Link Summon! Link-1, Salamangreat Balelynx!" He said as then a cat-like Cyberse monster appeared on his side of the field, as it had jets on the back of its back, as its tail was on fire. Its body was gray, black, red, white, yellow and green, with green eyes and a pink gem on its forehead.

(Salamangreat Balelynx: Link - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 500. Link-1. Link Arrows: Bottom-Middle.)

Flame threw his arm to a different direction, "Now the effect of our Balelynx activates! We get to add Salamangreat Sanctuary from our deck straight to our hand!" he yelled as a card popped out to their deck to which Soulburner picked up.

He placed the card back to his hand, as then he made fire appear out from his fingers as he yelled, "I will now blaze the circuit a second time!" A circuit appeared from it as he began, "The Summoning Conditions are 2 Fire Effect monsters, so I set my Zebroid X and Balelynx in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as the two went into the Link Arrows.

"I Link Summon! Link-2, Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf!" he yelled as then a wolf appeared on the field with red eyes and a gem stone on its head with fire coming out of its chest. Its skin was silver, dark blue, light green, dark green with a silver tail.

(Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf: Link - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 1800. Link-2. Link Arrows: Top-Middle, Bottom-Middle.)

"That's not all! I activate my new Continuous Spell card, Will Of The Salamangreat!" he yelled as the card appeared on his side of the field.

"This card's effect is simple to understand. Once per turn, we get to special summon 1 Salamangreat monster from our graveyard." a card popped out of Soulburner's graveyard to which he took it, "So come out! Salamangreat Zebroid X!"

Soulburner slammed the card on his duel disk as Zebroid X appeared on the field in defense mode.

(Salamangreat Zebroid X: Level 4 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1000.)

"NOW! Time for me to blaze the circuit once more!" he yelled from the top of his lungs as fire appeared from his hand as he threw it in the air as the circuit appeared much bigger than before. "The Summoning Conditions are at least 2 Fire Effect monsters, so I set my Sunlight Wolf and Zebroid X in the Link Arrows!"

The two monsters went into the Link Arrows as then from the circuit appeared Soulburner's most recognizable monster as it was a lion with two long ears than fire went out of it, as its two hands were that of a lion with it having gold like armour around it and had black skin on it with fire coming hotter and hotter by the second, "I Link Summon! LInk-3, Salamangreat Heatleo!"

(Salamangreat Heatleo: Link - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 2300. Link-3. Link Arrows: Top-Middle, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right.)

Soulburner then pointed at Ghost Gal's set card which she didn't even flinch at it, "My monster's effect activates! When he is Link Summoned, I get to target one card in your Spell and Trap zone, and shuffle it! Resounding Roar!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as fire appeared on Heatleo's mouth as it shot directly towards Ghost Gal's set card, but Ghost Gal smirked.

"Are you sure about that?" she asked as their eyes widened when they heard that.

"What?!" yelled Soulburner as Ghost Gal pointed at her set card.

(A/N: End Theme, but play GX New Losing Theme.)

"I activate my Continuous Trap card, Altergeist Protocol!" the card revealed itself, "When you activate a monster's effect, I get to send one Altergeist on my field to the graveyard," she said as her Marionetter disappeared from her field.

As she then looked at Soulburner, "So it will negate that monster's effect and destroy it!" she yelled as then a purple energy was then shot directly towards Salamangreat Heatleo.

"What?!" yelled Soulburner as Flame looked at him.

"Don't forget about Balelynx in our graveyard!" he informed as his partner nodded as he took out a card from his graveyard.

"Right! I activate the effect of Balelynx in my graveyard! I get to banish it from my graveyard to negate my monster's destruction!" he yelled as then an afterimage of Balelynx appeared on the field to negate to stop the purple energy from coming near Heatleo.

"I have to say, congrats Soulburner, you managed to protect your monster from my Trap, but can you still go on?" she asked as Soulburner narrowed his eyes.

"Of course I can, but first, I set one card face down." he said as a card was set vertically, "Now…Battle!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as he threw his hand out, "Salamangreat Heatleo attacks you directly! Heat Soul!"

Fire appeared from Heatleo's mouth as it then sent it directly towards Ghost Gal, but she swiped her hand out, "Not so fast! If you attack and I control an Altergeist card on my field, I get to special summon Altergeist Kunquery from my hand!"

She picked her monster as then a centaur like monster appeared on the field, as the legs were white, the tail was crimson red and looked very fluffy with yellow rings around the tail with between the legs was a yellow saddle with spikes on them, with wires on them, as the higher part of the body was white and black as she wore a helmet with a yellow spike on the front. It was in defense mode.

(Altergeist Kunquery: Level 5 - Earth Spellcaster - Attack: 0. Defense: 2400.)

Ghost Gal then continued, "And then, when she is special summoned like this, I get to negate that attack." she said as the fire stopped a second before it landed on her.

Soulburner gripped his hand in frustration. Damn, she is good at this.

"I end my turn." he said as Ghost Gal smirked.

Turn 3. Ghost Gal - 4000 lp - 2 cards

"My turn." she yelled as a card appeared on her duel disk to which she took it and drew it. She looked at it and grinned before it disappeared.

It was her Angel Baton, which was a great way to draw in more cards and discard a card that she doesn't need for the moment. Then she looked at the other two monsters, one who is a Tuner which she would need to get a new monster, and a monster that can help her Link Summon one of her favourite monsters.

She took a card from her hand, "Now, I think it is time for me to link the known with the unknown!" she said as then data appeared from her hand like a spider web as then from it appeared a circuit. "First things off, if an Altergeist monster would be used for a Link Summon, I get to use Pookeury for the Link Summon from my hand!" she said as she revealed her monster.

It was a slender figure that had purple skin with a pair of 6 purple wings with wires coming out of it that resembled of the Dark Magician who appeared on the field as an afterimage, "Now, the Summoning Conditions are 2 Altergeist monsters, so I set Pookeury and Kunquery in the Link Arrows!" she yelled as her two monsters went in to the Link Arrows.

"I Link Summon! Link-2, Altergeist Hexstia!" she yelled as then on her field from the circuit appeared a monster of a mix of a centaur and medusa. It had dark brown skin on the top of its tail, red with material on the bottom and on the hands, yellow spikes on the top, gauntlets on the hands, six arms around the bottom, two wires around the monster, two horns on the top of its head, green eyes and fire around its hands. It was on her Extra Monster Zone.

(Altergeist Hexstia: Link - Fire Spellcaster - Attack: 1500. Link-2. Link Arrows: Middle-Left, Middle-Right.)

Soulburner took a step backwards as he saw the powerful monster and it was terrifying to even look at. Flame narrows his eyes.

On her duel disk appeared a card on the top of it as she took it. "Now, since I Link Summoned an Altergeist monster while my Pookuery is in my graveyard, I get to add it straight to my hand once per duel." she said as she took the card from it.

She swiped her hand as she picked one of the cards, "I now activate the Spell Angel Baton!" a card appeared on the field as she began explaining, "This card allows me to draw 2 cards from my deck," she did so as she swiped her hand to reveal her new hand.

"Though the price is for me to discard one of them, so bye-bye Fifinellag!" she said as the card disappeared.

They narrowed their eyes as they didn't know why she would say a monster's name like that without using it, but she was about to answer their question. "Now, it is time for me to activate the recognizable Spell card known as Monster Reborn!" she said as the card appeared on the field.

"Oh byte!" yelled Flame.

"Oh yeah! This card can revive anything from our graveyards, so I think I will choose," a card appeared on her duel disk as she took it, "my Altergeist Marionetter!"

Her Marionetter appeared on her field.

(Altergeist Marionetter: Level 4 - Light Spellcaster - Attack: 1600. Defense: 1700.)

She then raised her arm to the skies, "Now, I activate the effect of my Marionetter! I can target 1 Altergeist card on my field and then on my graveyard," she said as then her Protocol disappeared from her field and then a card appeared from her duel disk as she took it.

"So I can send the card on my field to the graveyard and then I can special summon the Altergeist in my graveyard to my field! So come out, Altergeist Fifinellag!" On her field appeared a spellcaster that had a dress like appearance with orange on the top, purple on the bottom with light green lining, and her skin was dark red with a purple vizor.

(Altergeist Fifinellag: Level 2 - Tuner - Dark Spellcaster - Attack: 0. Defense: 1000.)

"Wait… a Tuner?!" yelled Soulburner as they realized what it was and they realized what she was going to do, and knowing monsters like the Ice Barriers, it was going to be one powerful monster.

"She is going to Synchro Summon!" yelled Flame as Ghost Gal giggled.

"Well, you are not wrong, but not until I normal summon my Altergeist Meluseek!" on her side of the field appeared a mermaid with the fin being purple with yellow ring around it, with yellow spikes around the monster's bottom part of the body. Around it were two wires. The body was dark blue, light blue and black coloured. It filled the last monster zone of Ghost Gal.

(Altergeist Meluseek: Level 1 - Water Spellcaster - Attack: 500. Defense: 300.)

(A/N: End Theme, but play Synchro Summon Theme/ Yusei Fudo V0.)

Now on her side of the field, she could Synchro Summon a Level 6 or 7 monster, or she could use them for a Link-2, Link-3 or even a Link-4 monster, which terrified them to the core.

What will she do?

"Now," she started as she pushed her arm forward, "I will tune my Level 2 Altergeist Fifinellag with my Level 4 Altergeist Marionetter!" she yelled as then the world turn black and white, with the only thing visible was the colour of her eyes as her two monsters went to the skies.

2 + 4 = 6!

She began to chant, "Legendary spirits awake! Rise from your eternal slumber to break the barrier!" Her Fifinellag turned into 2 gates as her Marionetter went through them, depicting themselves as 4 stars as then a large pillar of light appeared from it behind her.

"I Synchro Summon! Enter this existence, Altergeist Dragivirion!" From the pillar of light then appeared a dragon on its back legs with four arms on its torso, holding a staff, while having 3 black tails with yellow spikes at the end, with yellow eyes, green hair and horns, with it having a white and yellow like cloak on the back as the rest of her body was black, dark blue and gray. It was on Hexstia's bottom Link Arrow.

(Altergeist Dragvirion: Synchro - Level 6 - Dark Spellcaster - Attack: 2200. Defense: 1200.)

Soulburner and Flame looked at the field at what she just created. In one turn, she managed to turn a field with one monster and a Trap, into a field with a Link monster, a Synchro monster and one extra monster without so much with a sweat.

Soulburner gritted his teeth when she did so, but this was only the beginning.

"Now, there is one more thing I have to do before attacking you. When a monster is on Hexstia's Link Arrow, she gains the exact amount attack points as the monster on her Link Arrow." she said as their eyes widened with that effect.

Altergeist Hexstia: 1500 - 3700 attack points

"Aww crud." Soulburner said as Flame turned to him.

"Quick Soulburner, use your set card! It will help us with the turn!" Soulburner nodded.

"Right! I activate Salamangreat Geyser!" his set card revealed itself as he began to explain, "I target one monster on your field and 1 Salamangreat Link monster in my graveyard, like my Sunlight Wolf, I get to return it in my Extra Deck, while your monster loses a 1000 for every Link Arrow!" he said as he reached towards his graveyard, but Ghost Gal smirked.

"Oh no, you don't! My Hexstia has another effect!" Soulburner's eyes widened, "When a Trap or Spell is activated, I get to tribute 1 Altergeist monster, like my Dragvirion, so I can negate and destroy that card! Fireball of Cursing!" she yelled as her Dragvirion disappeared as then Hexstia closed her hands as then fire appeared from it.

She then threw the fire at Geyser, destroying it as Soulburner had to cover himself from the blast.

Alright that was bad, but at the very least, the attack point situation is now cleared out of the wa-

"Dragvirion's effect activates!" "Ahh, damn it!" "When he is tributed, I get to special summon it on my field!" she yelled as then her Dragvirion appeared on the field.

(Altergeist Dragvirion: Synchro - Level 6 - Dark Spellcaster - Attack: 2200. Defense: 1200.)

"Oh, well this is fantastic!" Soulburner sarcastically says as Flame narrowed his eyes.

"You bet it is, Soulburner, because I am about to win! You see, Meluseek can attack you directly!" Soulburner's eyes widened as Ghost Gal pushed her arm forward, "Battle! Altergeist Meluseek attacks you directly! Ectoplaster!"

From the hand of Meluseek appeared a big energy of water that was like it was made out of Magic as then, it sent directly towards Soulburner making him stumble around. He then looked at her, and she looked smug as ever.

Ghost Gal: 4000 lp

Soulburner: 4000 - 3500 lp

"I won."

"What?"

"Because of this! When Meluseek attacked you directly, 1 card on your field is sent to your graveyard," their eyes widened when they heard that as all eyes were reached out to Salamangreat Heatleo, "so say goodbye to your Heatleo!"

Heatleo roared in anguish as water appeared all over as it was eaten by a small body of a dragon that resembled that of a dragon.

This was it, everything was all gone and all of Soulburner's defense and even favourite monster were gone in a single move. It was hard to see that just one move was all it took for him to lose all of this.

Especially after defeating the leader of the Knights Of Hanoi, as Soulburner stayed quiet as his eyes were shadowed over by his hair.

It was a hard thing to see as Ghost Gal could only imagine the money she would get by this, but then something unexpected happened.

Soulburner…

(A/N: End Theme, but play Akaza's Theme.)

…smiled.

"Ready, Flame?" he asked.

"Ready as ever." if Flame had a mouth he would be grinning ear to ear.

Soulburner grinned as two cards popped out of his duel disk as he took them, "When a Link monster I control is leaves the field due to a card effect, thanks to Zebroid X's effect, I get to special summon two Level 4 Salamangreat monsters from my graveyard, so welcome back Zebroid X and Fowl!" he yelled as his two monsters appeared on the field.

(Salamangreat Zebroid X: Level 4 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1000.)

(Salamangreat Fowl: Level 4 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 1800. Defense: 200.)

Ghost Gal, Kiku and Seigen then realized what that would imply. Two monsters with the same Level? That would only make sense if…

No way.

"You are about to XYZ Summon?!" yelled Ghost Gal in shock as she never expected this outcome to appear.

Soulburner grinned, "That's right! Because then, after I summoned my X and Fowl, I have to automatically set them to the Overlay Network!" he said as he reached out his two hands as one hand showed an image of one of his monsters as he then merged them together.

Around him appeared something that could only be described as new space for the duel as his side came over red data and then reached all over his body and 2 monsters as a machine appeared, with the two becoming into data into the machine.

The machine sent the data to Soulburner's duel disk as everything else vanished as then a burst of light appeared as Soulburner began to chant. "The scorching dragon that boils the oceans and incinerates the skies! Arise in a pillar of glory! XYZ Summon! Rank 4, Salamangreat Blaze Dragon!"

On his field appeared a massive dragon with 2 red Overlays. The dragon had two sets of large wings with fire coming out of them, as the legs were more like massive spears more than anything, as its claws were sharp enough to tear through anything, with a metal sword-like tip of the tail as the tail was purple on the top, beige on the bottom, as the dragon's scales were blue.

(Salamangreat Blaze Dragon: XYZ - Rank 4 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 2300. Defense: 1200.)

Everyone stared at the new dragon in awe as they never saw something with the power of that, as it was the first XYZ monster they have seen in a while, as they didn't have one, but to see it that close was something different.

Flame then began to explain, "Now then, since Zebroid X was used as an XYZ material, Blaze Dragon now gains 300 attack points for every XYZ material!" The dragon roared in power.

Salamangreat Blaze Dragon: 2300 - 2900 attack points

Ghost Gal gripped her hand into a fist as she realized that no matter what she did for the rest of the turn, she wouldn't be able to win this duel, but it didn't matter, she still would have more life points than him.

"Well you know what they say, fight fire with fire! Hexstia attacks your Blaze Dragon with Curse Of Fire!" she yelled as a big ball of fire appeared in her arms as she then threw the fire towards the Blaze Dragon, but Soulburner didn't look worried at all.

"Like that would stop me! Blaze Dragon can not be destroyed if I detach one XYZ Material!" he yelled as Blaze Dragon ate one of the XYZ materials as it wasn't going through.

"But you still take the damage!" she yelled as Soulburner took that attack unflinchingly.

Ghost Gal: 4000 lp

Soulburner: 3500 - 2700 lp

Salamangreat Blaze Dragon: 2900 - 2600 attack points

Ghost Gal then looked at her hand, but she realized that she used her almost entire hand for this one turn.

She sighed, "You are a tough cookie to crack. I end my turn."

(A/N: End Theme.)

Turn 4. Soulburner - 2700 lp - 2 cards

Soulburner stared at his new monster with glee as he never thought he would be using one of those cool looking monsters before, but look at him now! Able to use one with no issue!

He stared at his deck and then placed his fingers on the top of his deck, "My turn! I draw!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as he drew the top card of his deck and looked at it. He smirked, but first he had to go around that Link monster.

So he looked at his newly drawn card and then back to his Continuous Spell card, as he then made a decision, "I activate my Will Of The Salamangreat! With this I get to-"

"Oh no you don't!" Ghost Gal pointed at her Hexstia in a fast motion, "I activate Hexstia's second effect! I tribute my Dragvirion," she said as she took her monster as it disappeared quickly after as fire appeared in the arms of her Hexstia, "so I can negate and destroy your Will Of The Salamangreat from activating its effect! Fireball of Cursing!"

The flames of her monster turned to purple as it quickly threw the massive amounts of fire towards the Continuous Spell card, destroying it on impact as Soulburner covered himself from the fire.

A card then appeared on her duel disk, "Now, Dragvirion's effect activates! When it is tributed, I get to special summon it back onto the field!" she said as then her Altergeist Dragvirion appeared back on the field.

(Altergeist Dragvirion: Synchro - Level 6 - Dark Spellcaster - Attack: 2200. Defense: 1200.)

"Interesting, you wanted to use Will's effect first so you know you could use your other card freely with no interruptions. A decent strategy for sure." said Flame as Soulburner nodded as Ghost Gal's eyes widened.

"Correct Flame, as now I activate my Pot Of Greed!" the legendary pot appeared on the field as Soulburner explained its legendary effect, "With this card, I get to draw 2 cards from my deck!" he said as he drew the top 2 cards from his deck and looked at them.

He smirked at one of them, as all he needed was the correct amount of levels to summon it, but he could work around it, and the other was a card that he for sure would activate this very turn.

Soulburner reached out his hand, "Battle! Salamangreat Blaze Dragon attacks your Altergeist Meluseek! Hyper Blaze!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as then in his XYZ monsfer's mouth appeared blue flames in its mouth as it then sent the fire directly towards Meluseek, but Ghost Gal had to stop him in his tracks.

"Oh no you won't! I activate the first effect of Dragvirion! When a special summoned monster you control attacks, I can return my Altergeist Meluseek back from my hand to negate a monster's attack!" she yelled as the Meluseek disappeared from her field as the attack missed her and her monsters all together.

Ghost Gal sighed in relief as she thought she had enough monster's to survive for the next turn, and thanks to her Meluseek in the next turn, with the power of her two monsters, she would be able to win on her next turn.

Soulburner, however, grinned. "You may have survived my attack, but I still have a way to destroy your monster! I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Leo Rugiens!" he yelled as the card appeared with an image of a man with red flowing hair that resembled that of a knight creating a fire lion that also looked like a dragon attacking and defeating a large cyclops.

Flame then threw his hand, "Allow me to explain the effect! If a Fire Monster from the Extra Deck attacked this turn, we get to destroy a monster on your side of the field with the weakest amount of attack points such as your Dragvirion!" He yelled as then from the Spell card appeared a massive flaming Lion as it then ran towards the Synchro monster and bit it, destroying it with no trouble.

"Not to mention, you lose life points equal to our monster's attack points that just attacked!" Soulburner yelled as the Lion turned around and breathed fire on her as each second it began disappearing as it then disappeared once it was done.

Ghost Gal: 4000 - 1400 lp

Soulburner: 2700 lp

Altergeist Hexstia: 3700 - 1500 attack points

"And with that, I end my turn." Said Soulburner with a smirk.

Turn 5. Ghost Gal - 1400 lp - 2 cards

"My turn." she said as a card appeared on the top of her deck as she looked at it and nodded. "I'll begin by setting a card face down." she said as then a card was set vertically before disappearing shortly after.

Now, she had time to think about her move this turn and how she would be able to win this turn. She could use Pookeury and Hexstia to Link Summon her Primebanshee and normal summon Meluseek, but she did the math in her head and knew that wouldn't work out. She could Link Summon her Link-4 monster, but she knew it wouldn't do much due to Blaze Dragon's effect.

She couldn't really use her Skill Secret Cure, which allows her to draw until she gets a monster and both players gain life points equal to her newly drawn monster, which she knows she has monsters with more than 1000 attack points, which would make him use his own Skill.

She thought about her options, until she realized the best possible move was to do this, "Now, I will normal summon my Altergeist Meluseek in attack mode!" she yelled as her Meluseek appeared on the field. It was on Hexstia's Link Arrow.

(Altergeist Meluseek: Level 1 - Water Spellcaster - Attack: 500. Defense: 300.)

Ghost Gal then pushed her hand forward as she began explaining her monster's effect, "Don't forget about my Hexstia's effect! She gains attack points equal to the monster under her Link Arrow!" she yelled as her monster glew red for a bit.

Altergeist Hexstia: 1500 - 2000 life points

Flame narrowed his eyes as he remembered Meluseek's effect at this and then realized that no matter what, they would survive this turn, even with only 200 life points remaining with no way of using their Skill, which would lessen their skills, but they could work with it.

Even Soulburner knew that was the case as he only leaned forward.

"Now, I think it is time for battle! Altergeist Meluseek attacks you directly! Ectoplaster!" she yelled as from the hands of the Spellcaster appeared a rather large ball of water magic as it then threw directly towards Soulburner as he began stumbling around.

Ghost Gal: 1400 lp

Soulburner: 2700 - 2200 lp

"I hope you didn't forget the effect of Meluseek! Because when she attacks you directly and deals you damage, one monster of yours is sent to the graveyard!" she yelled as then a large body of water appeared on Blaze Dragon's field as the dragon tried its hardest not to fall like its brethren, but it shortly did as nothing was left a second later.

"We are now left wide open!" yelled Flame as Ghost Gal grinned.

"Bingo! Altergeist Hexstia attack! Curse of Fire!" she yelled as her monster clapped its hands together as fire appeared from them, which was now purple as it threw the large body of flames towards Soulburner which caused a small explosion.

Once the dust settled, Soulburner was on one of his knees and breathing at high speeds.

Ghost Gal: 1400 lp

Soulburner: 2200 - 200 lp

"I think I did a good job of clearing your field, so I will end my turn here." she yelled as she rode the data material like a surfer in a beach movie.

Turn 6. Soulburner - 200 lp - 3 cards

"Are you alright, Soulburner?" asked Flame as he looked at his partner as he took several deep breaths.

"Yeah, I am just a bit shook at the moment," said Soulburner as he straightened his back, "Man, these duels are getting rough! Who knew that they could take that much out of you?" he asked.

"True, but you know what we can't do at the current moment, right?" Flame asked as his partner nodded.

"Yeah, our Skill is impossible to use at the moment with less than a 1000 life points." he said as Flame nodded.

"Correct, but try this as you did with Varis," Soulburner looked at Flame, "Despite you not able to activate your Skill, think of this as our Burning Draw, a way to get out of this place and a card that could help us." he said as Soulburner nodded.

"Understood." he said as he placed his fingers on the top of his deck.

On Flame appeared fire on him as he yelled, "Bring The Heat, Soulburner!"

"I…BURNING…DRAW!" he yelled as he drew the top card of his deck as they were made out of fire as it felt much more powerful than the last, but it could be his imagination. He looked at his hand and both his and Flame's eyes widened.

They could work with this card.

"I activate the Spell, Set Your Heart Ablaze!" he yelled as the card appeared on the field as he threw his hand out, "With this, I get to special summon a monster from the gra-"

Oh no, she has to stop this. If he does this, then he would be able to summon out Heatleo, use Sanctuary in his hand lowering her Hexstia's attack and would still be able to use his Skill to draw an extra card. There was no way around this.

"Nice try! I activate Hexstia's effect for the third time! I negate your Spell card's effect by tributing my Meluseek," she said as her monster disappeared from the field, "so I can negate your Spell's effect! Fireball of Cursing!" she yelled as purple flames appeared on Hexstia's arms as she threw that directly towards Soulburner's Spell card.

Altergeist Hexstia: 2000 - 1500 attack points

Soulburner had to cover himself, as he then placed his fingers on the top of his deck, "But when you do, if it is destroyed, I get to draw 1 card from my deck!" he yelled as he did so, but before he could even look at it, Ghost Gal went on.

"That may be the case, but in case you summon a monster with a higher attack stat, how about I activate my set card, Altergeist Emulatef!" she said as her set card revealed itself to everyone to see.

"This card is an interesting one, you see, once it is activated, I get to special summon it onto my field as an Effect monster with its own stats, Level, Type and Attribute, so in other words, it is a Trap monster!" she yelled as she pointed at the bottom of her Hexstia's Link Arrow, "And I am summoning it there in defense mode!"

On her side of the field appeared an angel-like monster, with more of a robotic look to it, as its 'skin' was yellow all around, with two long horns on the top, green eyes, two wires around it, two blades on its legs and white colouring around its torso. When it was summoned, Hexstia glew red for a bit.

(Altergeist Emulatelf: Continuous Trap - Level 4 - Light Spellcaster - Attack: 1400. Defense: 1800.)

Altergeist Hexstia: 1500 - 2900 attack points

Soulburner gritted his teeth at the look of the things as he knew that he had to have some ways of getting around those attack points, as he knows that Jack Jaguar is the only monster that could deal piercing battle damage, but has the same amount of attack points as Emulatelf's defense points.

He began flipping the card he just drew, slowly, as he then saw what it was, and smirked.

"Alright Flame! Time for the road to our victory!" he yelled as he grabbed the card.

"Right! Allow me to start! We normal summon Salamangreat Mole to the field!" on their side of the field appeared the small lava mole made out of data.

(Salamangreat Mole: Level 1 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

"That is your key to victory? What is it going to do? Scratch me to death?" asked Ghost Gal as Soulburner smirked.

"On the contrary! We would like to show you some of our new monsters. Blaze Dragon was one of them, so why not show them a new one? Right Soulburner?" asked Flame as Soulburner grinned ear to ear.

"How right you are! I blaze the circuit!" His fist was turned into a ball as he threw the ball into the air as it then created a circuit as he began to chant, "The Summoning Conditions are a Normal Summoned monster with a 1000 or less attack points, so I set my Mole in the Link Arrows!" he said as his Mole went straight towards the Link Arrows in blazing speeds, but this time, a brand new Link Arrow.

"I Link Summon! Link-1, Salamangreat Almiraj!" on his side of the field appeared a small mythical one horned rabbit creature as the horn was on fire, with the fur around it and the tail being on fire as well, as the ears being bright pink, with the fur being light blue with light brown eyes.

(Salamangreat Almiraj: Link - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 0. Link-1. Link Arrows: Bottom-Left.)

Seigen placed his hand on his knee. First a Link-4, then a Fusion monster, then an XYZ monster, and now a new Link-1?! What's next?! A Ritual monster?!

Ghost Gal looked at the new monster, "Look, he may be cute, but how is that going to stop me? He doesn't have anything to go for at all!"

"Oh, he might not have an effect that could help us win this, but his presence alone will help us dearly." said Flame.

Ghost Gal raised an eyebrow, "How so?"

Flame, without a mouth everyone could tell that he was grinning ear to ear, as he turned to his partner, "Show her, Soulburner."

He smirked, "Gladly."

(A/N: Play Spirit Pledge - Yuno.)

Soulburner took a card from his hand and inserted the card in his duel disk as it appeared on the field for everyone to see, "I activate the Ritual Spell card known as Rise Of The Salamangreat!" he yelled as their eyes widened as soon as they heard that name.

Seigen damn near flipped a table when he heard that. Well, his shtick is over.

"A Ritual Spell?!" Ghost Gal yelled when she heard that name as Soulburner grinned.

"Oh yes! This isn't just any other Ritual Spell, it has an additional effect! If I control a Salamangreat Link monster on the field," two cards popped out of his duel disk as he took it, "I get to return them from my graveyard to my deck instead!" a purple circle appeared on the field with the symbol of Pyro Phoenix as 12 stars.

"The number of the monster I am about to summon is 8, so I return Zebroid X and Fowl from my graveyard, so I can now Ritual Summon!" he yelled as Zebroid X and Fowl briefly appeared on the field as then 8 of the 12 stars lit up as then they could all see a new monster that is about to appear.

"Rise from the ashes of the fallen Phoenix, as your emerald eyes shine towards the valley of your victory! I Ritual Summon! Rise, Salamangreat Emerald Eagle!" he yelled as then on their side of the field appeared an eagle, a majestic one. It was a bird with gold feet on the bottom, crystals on the body, tail, arms, neck and inside of the mouth. There were emeralds on the wings, knees, around the bottom of the body, on the wings, on the arms and chest. The wings were gray, black and white as well as the rest of the body.

Once summoned, it screeched in power as they knew it was the last monster of the duel.

(Salamangreat Emerald Eagle: Ritual - Level 8 - Fire Cyberse - Attack: 2800. Defense: 2000.)

Everyone stared at the new monster in shock at how the monster looked and how powerful the way it was summoned. It was crazy to think that something like the Salamangreats could have a monster like that. It was crazy.

Ghost Gal thought about how he would win this duel. It doesn't seem plausible at first, especially at how it didn't seem likely that it had a piercing effect, but something about it made her uncomfortable.

"Salamangreat Emerald Eagle activates its effect!" Flame pointed towards Almiraj, "Once per turn, we get to tribute 1 Salamangreat Link monster so it could gain an effect that we will reveal later!" Almiraj disappeared shortly after.

Ghost Gal's eyes widened as soon Emerald Eagle's fire became a completely different colour which was the colour green.

"Time for this charade to come to an end! Battle! Salamangreat Emerald Eagle attacks your Altergeist Hexstia!" yelled Soulburner as his monster screeched as it then flew directly towards the Spellcaster Link monster.

"You are forgetting that Hexstia's attack is better than your bird's!" yelled Ghost Gal in defiance, but Flame stopped that.

"Who said we did?!" yelled Flame as Ghost Gal's eyes widened.

"What!?"

"Emerald Eagle's additional effect is that when it battles an opponent's monster, it is instantly destroyed! Emerald Overload!" From the mouth of Emerald Eagle appeared a massive amount of green fire inside of the eagle as it then shot directly towards Hexstia, destroying it in an instant.

Ghost Gal covered herself as the dust settled, but Soulburner was not done. "Now, since it was destroyed, you take damage equal to its attack points!"

"WHAT?!" she yelled as green fire appeared from its mouth as it then shot directly towards Ghost Gal as she knew what happened.

She lost.

Ghost Gal: 1400 - 0 lp

Soulburner: 200 lp

SOULBURNER: WINNER!

(A/N: End Theme.)

Ghost Gal sighed as she dropped her hands as the holograms disappeared from the duel. "Well, you beat me, Soulburner." she said as he got closer to her.

"I sure did, Ghost Gal, but I gotta admit, if it weren't for some of my new monsters, I would've gotten washed!" he admitted as he began scratching the back of his neck.

Ghost Gal nodded, "Trust me when I tell you that you had me on the ropes. ALmost every strategy wouldn't have worked. Even with my Synchro monsters." she admitted.

"Really? Oh, good thing that I managed to get to my new monsters soon or I wouldn't like to imagine how it would've gone." he said as Flame nodded with him as he would hate being around her and being used to get some money from banks.

"Yeah, and how did you get those monsters in the first place? You haven't used those new monsters once since the last time I checked." she said as Soulburner shrugged.

"Beats me, I don't have a clue as well. It is just like it appeared in my deck all of a sudden." he said as Flame might know the real reason of when he summoned Pyro Phoenix and then Reincarnation Link Summoned it as the true potential of Salamangreats appeared, but that could be just a theory.

Ghost Gal sighed, "Well, what's done is done. Go down to the floor like when you first appeared so I could give you the data because I am not throwing it from my hoverboard." she said as Soulburner looked down and nodded.

He didn't want to risk it as well. "Sure, let's do that."

They went down to the floor when their hoverboards disappeared.

"Welp, you certainly know how to show a girl a good time," she said as Flame looked at her.

"If you call that good, I do not know what you call bad, but hey, I am not judging." Flame shrugged his shoulders as he then looked at her again, "Okay, yeah I am."

"Oh hush, Flame, I was merely joking about it." Flame gave her a look that said 'are you sure?' She then sighed again, "But I am a bit disappointed about not winning you in the duel. You can still go with me like you are with Soulburner here." she said as Flame shook his head.

"What? You must be jesting, of course I won't go with you. I am not risking my life to be around you. I feel much safer here." he said as Soulburner smiled at that.

"I have some cute widgets that want to meet you."

Flame looked at her, raised his finger, but lowered it, placed his finger on his chin and then shook it off all in a span of a minute, "No, that's not worth it." he said.

"You were considering it?" Soulburner asked as Flame looked at him and thank the Egyptian Gods he couldn't produce sweat because he would be sweating bullets.

"What?! No, no, of course not! How could you assume such a thing to me? That is just rude." he quickly said as Ghost Gal and Soulburner exchanged looks which basically meant that it went like this: "You believe him?" "No." "Me neither."

Soulburner then lowered his duel disk, "Well, you remember our deal, Ghost Gal?" he asked as she nodded.

She raised her hand as gold data material appeared on her hand, "Yeah, yeah I do, don't worry about it. One easy access to SOL Tech's databank coming right up." she said as the material went from her to Soulburner.

He raised his hand as the gold data material turned into a ball then into tiny particles as it went to Soulburner as he had full access to the databank of SOL Tech any minute now.

He smiled as Ghost Gal raised her hand, "Well, I am off, try not to get caught by the higher ups, okay? Don't do something that I wouldn't do." she said as she began walking off as she waved from the behind.

As then she logged off.

Soulburner and Flame stayed there for a second as Flame looked at him. "So, I guess we have the data we need for the Lost Incident, huh?"

"Yeah, I guess." he said.

"Hey, I have a question." Soulburner turned to him, "Are you sure that this would help us find the truth on what we are looking for? I mean, I am on board with you, but I am just asking you if you are sure with it."

Soulburner sighed as he didn't know as well, but he had to answer it, "Well, Flame, I have to admit, that I don't know about it as well, I don't know if this has any data on it, but we have to at least try to see it, y'know? I don't all of this to be wasted."

Flame nodded with him. He can understand that thought, and he was on board with it as well. "So, do we start now, or?"

"Well, if I am being serious," he scratched the back of his neck, "I think it would be best if we do it tomorrow. I am more afraid of getting bad results than not getting the answers of SOL Tech."

"Oh… well then… what are you standing here for! Go and study!" he yelled as Soulburner quickly logged off.

Meanwhile in real life, Akira finally woke up from his slumber as he looked around and opened his eyes. How long was he asleep for? It felt like he was asleep for days.

He stood up as he looked in a mirror.

He knew what he had to do soon and quickly.

The truth of SOL Tech, and he had to know as soon as possible.

He had to know.

For her.

But he had one question in mind.

"What day is it today?" he asked to himself as he felt like he slept for a century.

Authors Note:

AND BAM! Done with this chapter! Baby! WOAH YEAH! That's how I like it!

Alright a couple of things! First, time to update the Angelmaker Counter, with the canon line in the dub of Ghost Gal telling Playmaker that she ships him and Skye together.

Angelmaker Counter: 12.

Alright, the next one is about the opening. I always wanted to do one for my story and GX: Rewrite, so I decided, why the hell not? And made this one up with the first op of my favourite anime, Black Clover (More like Peak Clover, am I right?). I will make one for Varis and Specter vs Soulburner, Stormrider, Frostgirl and The Gore, which I might use JUSTadICE, but I am not sure.

Next up, I won't be updating this story soon, as I will start Season 2 of GX: Rewrite with the next two chapters. That's right baby, I am coming back to my baby boy!

Next up, my thoughts on the duel itself. It was fine for what it was worth. I did enjoy Altergeist duels and I wished we had more of it, and we do get a new Code Talker of Excode Talker which is fine in my opinion. I did have fun writing this duel though with Dragvirion and Hexstia combo, and I will try to summon Dragvirion as much with her.

Ghost Gal is a fun character to watch and is my 9th favourite VRAINS character. Her personality is to watch and write in my opinion, but there is something left to be desired with her, and I want to write more of it.

I think that is it, so see ya'!

Made Up Cards:

Leo Rugiens: Quick-Play Spell - Effect: If a Fire Monster attacked that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck attacked this turn, destroy one monster on your opponent's side of the field with the weakest ATK and if you do deal damage to the Fire Monster's ATK that attacked. (Inspiration: Fuegoleon Vermillion.)
