Silence filled the room once more in the room that some of them can't believe that happened twice in the same week which made this even more tragic to get through with the leader taking a deep breath as two weeks ago, it was hard, but now? It was even tougher since it was so soon with only a 2 day difference.
It was the same room where a funeral of Genome happened, but there is a difference, as beside the Krawler duelist, was another body, whom was Baira, one of the Commanders of the Hanoi and one of the strongest members of Knights Of Hanoi. If there was one thing that Varis can respect of his father, was that he made losing a comrade feel something and they can remember them by something.
At the top of the staircase was the leader of the Hanoi, Varis, with his right hand man being Specter, being at the bottom, with Faust being beside of his two comrades and best friends and a single, a lone, Knight of Hanoi standing behind him.
That's right. There were officially only 4 Knights of Hanoi left. One wasn't that strong, but the other three was a Commander, the right hand man and the other is the leader.
Varis began, "We are here to pay our respects to our fallen comrade, Baira Of The Commanders Of The Hanoi. She was highly respected among the Hanoi and was a woman of many things. Research, creating antidotes, creating viruses, dueling, a doctor, lover of all things Indian, but most importantly, like every other Knight of Hanoi, she was a woman of honour." he said as the rest of the Hanoi looked at him.
He breathed in and out, "She was an interesting woman, with love of healing people and helping people in need, as she was loyal to the Knights Of Hanoi, even if she… had problems with our ways, which none of us faulted her for. Even if she didn't agree to our methods, she had honour and pride for her and for all of us." he said as he closed his eyes, "Now… allow us to have a moment of silence for our fallen Lieutenant, Commander and comrade." he said as all of them lowered their heads and closed their eyes.
The silence was filled in their room once more as not a single person even daring to open their mouths to speak or even move a muscle, as they respected the fallen comrade. Not a single person raised their head.
Baira was a woman of honour and during the time before the Knights Of Hanoi were formed, Varis thought of her as his big sister that he never had. He always did think of Faust, Genome and Baira as his older siblings since he never had any other siblings before or after the Knights of Hanoi.
He remembered the day he accidently fell off his bike while riding it since he was so little, as Baira was the only person there, so she ran up to him, and made sure that he was all healed up by taking her first aid kit, wiping the blood off of his body, making sure to take out the injury, as she wiped his tears away and kissed him on the forehead. Varis smiled at the memory.
Specter was quiet as he was only ever really close to Varis when he was with him, but that didn't mean he didn't have massive respect for both Baira and Genome, as he did hear stories of the two before he met Varis in the real world. To him, if you are important to Varis and he respects you, then Specter respects you back and values your life immensely.
Faust on the other hand?
This was painful for the man to look at as he saw his fellow comrades, his fellow scientists, his fellow doctors and friends in this state and the fact that he was the last Lieutenant hurt more than to admit at the current moment as he knew that it will most likely be the last time he will see them like this before the Tower will be filled with duelists and data.
Baira was a person that he cared for immensely, someone that he could trust, talk to and open up about his feelings and she would understand and listen to him. She was a person that he knew had his back, and vice versa for her as well. She was a person that Faust loved and would help at any time she asked for.
Genome was not like Baira, but that doesn't mean he disliked him in any way. He was his best friend after all, the person he loved hanging out the most, and hell, he loved doing some activities with him like escape rooms. Sure he may be annoying, but a person that he could depend on? Trust? He was the one who could do it.
Sure, there are some questioning things about him, like how he pulls up an armchair and some snacks whenever Baira and him start to have an argument, all because he thinks their arguments are the most entertaining things in the entire world, which was extremely weird, and once saw Specter and Varis joining in once. Maybe that is why game nights were banned for a month.
But the two hold a special place in Faust's heart. As even if the Tower Of Hanoi succeeds and he will never see them again, he will still remember them foundly because they mean the world to him.
Varis then raised his head, "Thank you for your time. Now, let's pay our respects to the fallen Commander, Baira." he said as he walked down the stairs, towards the fallen Knight of Hanoi and placed his hand on his forehead and nodded.
"Baira, I thank you for everything that you did during your time as a Knight of Hanoi and before it, as what you did for us was important to defeat one of them. I promise, that your fall will help us rise to victory as nothing will stand in our way. We will avenge you." thought to himself, Varis as he will make sure that their sacrifices won't be in vain as he walked back a few feet so the rest of them could walk to their fallen comrade and to pay their respects.
First it was Faust since he was the closest one to them, then Specter as he nodded his head in a respectful way and to show that he did care for them as well, and then a Knight walked over, fully nervous that he was the only Knight left, and nodded in a respectful tone so he doesn't accidentally make them mad.
After they paid their respect, the attention was back to Varis who stood there, looking fully serious. "Thank you all for coming in this time and place for our defeated comrade, this funeral has been finished and you are all free to log out." Varis said as the lone Knight quickly logged off from Link VRAINS.
"Master." Both Specter and Varis looked at Faust who continued to look at both Baira and Genome, "I would like to continue. If that is alright with you." said Faust as Varis nodded.
"Of course, you can stay here, pay your respect as much as you want as we continue to work on the project and after you are done, take the day off which you deserve." he said at the last Commander of The Hanoi.
"Thank you Master," he said as The Leader of Hanoi and his right hand man disappeared and turned into data as Faust looked at his two friends that were defeated in combat.
Faust took a deep breath and looked at them, "This is going to be tough to say, but I will promise, to both of you, that no matter what happens, I will continue onwards, as my loyalty to The Knights of Hanoi can not be changed. Baira, Genome, I promise…" he closed his eyes for a moment.
It was a quiet moment for the lone knight as he saw the comatose state of his comrades.
"...I will avenge both of you!" he yelled as he disappeared from Link VRAINS, as he was ready to duel. Those 4.

We see six different Ignis flying around the Cyberse, all with their accompanying archetypes, with Flame escaping the Cyberse in the hands of Theodore Hamilton as a second later, his appearance changed that of Soulburner as he began walking slowly with a determined look on his face. As then a Duel Monsters card appeared on the screen which was flipped over to reveal the words, "Bring The Heat, Soulburner!"

We then see Theodore facing backwards to a boy with silver hair and blue eyes, but was 2 years older than him as they both raised their heads, as they turned to Soulburner and Varis as they turned around as Salamangreat Heatleo and Borreload Dragon striked each other at the same time.

Soulburner covered his face from the dust of the explosion as Varis was floating above him as he went flying on his duel board.
Wishing to fly freely across the sky
Soulburner then began to chase him with a duel board of his own with a determined face.

Once he got close, he somehow managed to dodge an attack from Specter's Sunavalon monsters as the Lieutenants of the Hanoi were along with him.

As soon as they appeared, Frostgirl, Stormrider and the Gore appeared with him to assist him in this match as Soulburner grinned ear to ear as they each faced one of the Knights of Hanoi, with Gore fighting Genome with his Gouki Suprex and Riscorpio as Genome had X-Kralwer Neurogos, Frostgirl having out her Nekroz Of Trishula on the field while Baira had her Dark Mummy Surgical Forceps, Stormrider with his Cerulean Sacred Phoenix Of Nephthys against Faust's Worm Zero as Soulburner passed Specter as his scarf hit the screen as a new transition was made.
To faraway future, I burst out running
We then see Soulburner flying on a duel board as then Stormrider and Frostgirl were near them, both with grins on their faces as Frostgirl winked Soulburner whose face flushed red for some time as then Flame appeared as he began flying with fire on his feet.

Gore was then seen on a ring with his Gouki The Undertake Ogre with the kids looking excited with stars in their faces as he left out a dramatic roar for the audience.

Akira was then seen with a determined face as he held a picture of his younger sister when she was younger as he then gritted his teeth. He looked down as tears went down his face as he remembered their past.

Ghost Gal then appeared with a saddened face as she saw Akira, as then the man raised walked towards the data bank of SOL Tech.

He then turned around as he saw Soulburner coming near them.

Soulburner then summoned out Salamangreat Miragestellio and Pyro Phoenix as Akira summoned out Tindangle Acute Cerberus as the two monsters clashed.

While the battle was commencing, Frostgirl watched the duel with a concerned face, but Stormrider's face wasn't shown as well as tears went down his face.
I call this a miracle.
We then see Kiku and Theodore with their arms opened towards Seigen as Flame was carrying the same motion as he had tears in his eyes as he then smiled as he fell to their embrace. Then a new screen was made as Theodore, Flame, Kiku and Seigen were smiling at the screen with Varis looking at them with his back turned against them with a wicked smile on his face.
BRING THE HEAT, SOULBURNER! - THE KNIGHTS OF HANOI!

It was 2 weeks later after the duel against Frostgirl and Baira of the Knights of Hanoi, as now they thought that… It was actually peaceful to be honest as no matter how much they searched, the Knights of Hanoi just wouldn't appear the entire time which was nice, and it gave them some time to focus on their studies and for school.
Yeah, that is right, most of the 2 weeks that happened during that time wasn't hunting for the Hanoi, no it was for hunting some good grades and hitting the books, which may explained, how one day, Theodore looked more dead than a corpse one day while Kiku and Seigen looked completely fine. It was weird to see the energy drink maniac look fine while the calmer of the two looked dead.
Also, during that time, Kiku and Theodore went on another date, which was great, but it wasn't as good as the first one. Why? Because Seigen was third wheeling. Hard. At least Flame didn't join in and wanted some peace and quiet.
Which kind of explained a small outburst during the date, which was like this:
"Ho boy, I love hanging out with my friends, as we are in a ramen shop, eating some delicious ramen, as I truly do enjoy being around my friends, eating and laughing while my two friends are MAKING OUT IN FRONT ME!" yelled Seigen as Kiku was on Theodore's lap as they were kissing.
"Sorry." said both of them as Kiku got off Theodore's lap, which might have saddened the silver-red haired boy.
Yeah, as you can tell, it was memed to all hell the next day. Sometimes they truly despised the idea of gossip, well not Flame, as he slowly, but surely, enjoyed hearing 'the tea' from Kiku.
Right now, the three, with Flame in Theodore's bag, were currently walking to school as they had a conversation with a person on Theodore's flip phone, "Hey, G. How is it going?" that wasn't him trying to be hip like a grandma trying to sound cool in front of her teenage grandchildren, that was like a secret codename.
"Oh, sup SB," said George over the phone as he was currently walking down the street after buying stuff from the local supermarket, "Oh nothing much, just bought some stuff from the supermarket to gain some more gains. You guys?"
"More? Aren't you buff already?" asked Seigen as he raised an eyebrow.
"Well yeah, SR, but that doesn't mean I can't get more jacked, you know? It is important to be healthy." said George as he looked at the bag and saw things that are a mix of some meat, vegetables and fruit.
Kiku shrugged her shoulders, "I guess you are right. Being healthy is extremely important for your diet." the three also agreed with her as she continued, "But we are doing fine mostly, SB just needed some time with hitting the books as we do have a test today."
"A test? Yikes, I remember those are rough to hear. What subject is it though?" asked George as he stopped with people on the road waiting for the stop sign to turn green and for the cars to stop.
"Math." Theodore shivered in fear at that as they can hear George on the line tsking.
"Oh dear, that was a pain in the neck to learn. Why do they have to add letters in there?" asked George as Seigen instantly replied with:
"To make students suffer." he said as pretty much anyone that wasn't Flame agreed with him, as even though Seigen is easily the smartest kid in the class, letters in Math were still a pain in the neck for him to deal with.
"True bro, true." George said as he looked around the cars, "Ey, by the way, besides the test today, how is school doing?" he asked as he suddenly felt extremely old asking that question.
"You sound like an old man trying to reconnect with the youth," said Kiku as she giggled.
"Oi, FG, I am only 19, remember?" asked George as he rolled his eyes as he heard the other two mumble, "I still can't believe that he is that young." "I can't tell if those are good genetics or horrible genetics."
"Sorry, I just had to point that out, but to be honest, it is going alright for us, kind of boring at the current moment, but it is fine at the current moment, as we do have a test tomorrow." she said.
"Damn… school is more relentless than I remember." said George as all three of them nodded with him as they agreed immensely with them.
"So, have you thought about going to college or university, G?" asked Kiku as George started walking when the light turned green.
"Eh… I am not sure honestly. I am young, and I do have some more time to think about if I want to continue to go to one, but hey, I have time, so don't worry about me." said George.
"Hey, that is great to hear, dude." said Theodore, "Oh, and by the way, how are the kids in the orphanage?" he asked.
"Oh they are getting along great, honestly! More clothes, toys and cards than ever! And they even watched a documentary of Aster Phoenix, someone that they begin to look up to, other than yours truly of course." George said as the three smiled at him. "Oh, and I have to go now, I am reaching my place, see ya."
"See ya." they said as they ended the phone call. Sometimes, Seigen and Kiku hated how Theodore would prefer to walk instead of using his grandparent's car since he was somehow the only one to get a drivers' license, but not because of young drivers.
Also he did state that he did not want to drive it with Flame giving him the idea of giving some fire aesthetic on the car which he is sure that his grandparents would kill him if he did so.
Right when George was about to reach his home with the groceries in his back, he was slowly walking while reading on his phone when Kokushibo was defeated by Gyomei, Sanemi, Genya and Muichiro, but he accidently bumped into a man.
"Oh sorry dude! Didn't see ya' there! Are you alrig-" George turned towards a man known as Alec who was a man with dark blue hair which around him was light blue, with silver hair, a round beard and a small mustache, as he had brown pants, a brown suit, a dark purple shirt and a black tie with brown shoes and pants. The man was carrying a bag that contained some dango with a side of mochi.
"Oh don't worry about me, sir. I am perfectly fine." Alec turned to see George with a slightly widened expression, but lowered it so he doesn't raise any suspicion, "That is Gore. I have to keep my guard up, also… is that his normal look?" thought to himself Alec.
Alec then noticed how George was staring at him, "Um sir, is something wrong?" he asked him as George thought to himself on why he looked familiar to him .
"Oh, nothing, nothing, it is just that you look familiar." he said to himself as Alec slowly moved his hand to his deckbox that he was carrying.
"Really?" asked Alec.
"Yeah… weren't you the doctor 2 weeks ago?" Alec stopped in his tracks as he didn't expect an answer like that, but he stopped before things got bad, "With the green haired doctor and the orange haired one?" asked George.
Alec nodded, "Why, yes I am. I am just returning from the shop on my break, the food at the hospital isn't at the best quality right now, so I thought about buying some dango." he said as George nodded.
"Oh cool! Say hello to the other doctors for me!" said George as he began to walk away from the conversation as Alec yelled, "Will do!"
Alec then narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the man that defeated Genome in a duel, as he began to walk towards his place, a small apartment that was close to the Kogami household, as he took in a key and unlocked the door.
He took out his laptop and began to type out a couple of strategies on how to defeat the people that were against the Hanoi as he knew that the fight would start soon, and that they only have a week left.
He did some research about the people he had to fight.
The Gore's deck, was Gouki, that previously was a Link Spam deck that allows him to get advantage at any given second when any of his Gouki monsters go the graveyard with tons of Spells and limited Traps, but now, he has a few Traps in the deck, with now him having an XYZ Gouki monster that could attack twice at the bare minimum with large attack buffs, but that is not all, as he heard there are going to be a Fusion and a Synchro monster about the Gouki's so he opted to switch his deck into a defensive style while adding some of those cards that Varis uses.
Frostgirl's deck was more known as the Ice Barriers, a deck that was mediocre at best at the start of the game, but now it is a viable deck option, as it is a great Synchro Deck with great Tuners and Support, not to mention some powerful Synchro monsters that could wreck anyone off balance, as she now added some Nekroz monsters, with the power of Dark Sorcery of The Ice Barrier which thankfully he has Soul Release for that, and then her newest Cyberse monster, General Edward, how a unique monster to have. With this, he has to add some of his Motor Worm cards for that deck and especially some Anti-Synchro cards.
Stormrider's deck was the one with the least amount of cards, as it is a Nephthys deck, that focuses on destroying cards by card effect alike the Fire Kings, with having a monster that could destroy either the back row or the front row of his field, as well as some Link monsters and especially some of the Ritual monsters that could wreck his shit if he isn't careful, but he does have a way to get around that and that is by destroying monsters either by returning them to the hand or by battle.
And finally, possibly the most frightening one, Soulburner. The one with the full deck of Cyberse monsters known as the Salamangreats, which at first was a deck that focused on Link Summoning and Reincarnation Summoning, but now, it has grown into a deck that could quite possibly rival Varis if he was playing around, but he doubts that, as even though he can Link, Ritual, Fusion and XYZ Summon, he can't Synchro Summon a monster, but that could change as this one has to be a mix of everything he had before just so he doesn't make any plays.
Alec sighed as he knew that this fight will be one for the ages, and he won't rest until the ones that dare to defy the Hanoi get destroyed. He didn't care if they were children, whoever dared would be struck down by the Hanoi.
And honestly. It would be best if they were defeated by him because unlike Specter or Varis, he was the most merciful person in the Hanoi at the current moment. He sighed, as he knew that no matter what he does to the kids, it will be an act of mercy instead of fighting Specter or god forbid, Varis.
He took a bite of the dango, "Damn, that is good." he said as he began to walk to the coffee maker to get some coffee. Pitch black. No milk.
A Few Hours Later
During the time in school, Theodore, Kiku and Seigen were still in school as the last hour was about the math test that Theodore was dreading, especially if he fails the test because he knows that if he fails… the scolding he would get by Flame would be legendary. But during that time, he looked at how the test was and it was okay in his opinion.
They even heard rumors of the school being shut down soon because of… several reasons that would honestly be fair if the school shut down since they were kind of shocked that it would be a long time to list all of the problems of this school. They heard that the students have to move to different schools and towns, but that wasn't certain though, so they don't have to worry.
There was a time where Ridley, the guy that was defeated by Theodore with his Phoenix Gearfried, was trying to pick on a boy, but Theodore trying to speak with him was enough for him to run away as soon as possible. Maybe that, or he saw him beat up 4 people at once. Honestly, that is a fair reaction.
But now, during break, when students could finally take a break, Theodore heard his duel disk rumble once more as he groaned out loud as Seigen and Kiku looked at him confused as Flame just looked done.
"What is it, Teddy?" asked Kiku as Theodore took out his duel disk.
"Nothing just… there is this guy that keeps sending me some cards through Link VRAINS, that is all." said Theodore as what he said was true, as even though people can not see his ID or any information about him, even where is his duel disk exactly, they can still send cards like an email.
Now, why was Theodore so done with the message without looking at it, "This dude just won't stop, it is so annoying!" yelled Theodore as he touched the place where Flame usually is, to reveal his inbox, "Ever since I revealed myself during that Cracking Dragon Knight of Hanoi duel, this dude keeps sending me cards." he said.
"And how is that bad exactly?" asked Kiku as Theodore tried to think up something, but couldn't really explain, but he sighed.
"Because he can't stop, no matter how much I ignore him or don't reply to him." he said as they saw how many cards this one dude sent him in these last few months as they were quite shocked.
"My goodness."
"They just never end." said both Kiku and Seigen one after another.
"I know right?" said Theodore as he shook his head at the amount they have sent him in just a few months, as well as some of the most awkward messages sent to mankind, and Seigen saw how many heart emojis Kiku sends to Theodore on the daily, it was quite shocking.
"This guy really needs to touch some grass." said Seigen as Kiku turned to her best friend.
"Hey, kettle, I am pot and you are black." she said as Flame tried his absolute hardest not to laugh at that as Theodore laughed hard when his girlfriend said that as Seigen didn't react to that.
"Touche." He couldn't talk back to that, no matter how much he wanted to.
Theodore composed himself, "So," he snickered again as Seigen looked at him again. He composed himself again, "So yeah, that is what I am talking about and the cards are just weird for me to use. I am not saying that they are useless, I am saying that they are way too situational, don't have much payoff… and are mostly badly worded."
They looked at the cards that he had talked about and they were confused as well. Block Attack, Stop Defense, Shield Attack, Sparks and Mooyan Curry.
"Those are… hmm." Kiku didn't know what to say.
"Interesting." that was all that Seigen could say at the current moment.
"Yeah, I don't know either. They are… okay, I guess? But some of these cards just have me kind of confused, y'know:" he sighed as he knew that he couldn't talk to Flame as they were still in class. "So what should I do?"
"You tell him to piss off," said Seigen simply as they looked at him.
"Seigen no."
"Seigen yes." Seigen quickly responded to Kiku's words.
"I don't want to sound like a jerk, man!" yelled Theodore as Seigen shrugged his shoulders at that as he didn't see any other way than that.
"I think you should just ignore him, Teddy." said Kiku as Theodore nodded. That was a good idea, but something in him just wanted to send a card just so he doesn't deal with his crap for the rest of the year.
"Yeah that would be a good idea, Kiku, thanks." he said as she smiled in return.
During class, Theodore tried to pay attention, key word: Tried. As the kid just couldn't concentrate as for some strange reason he can tell that something bad will happen, something horrible, something that the world has never seen before, like it would be Apocalypse itself in Link VRAINS, as nothing could compare to the night-
He got a notification on his duel disk that he knew way too well as now he was ticked off. "THAT IS IT!" He raised his hand and asked for the bathroom as Seigen and Kiku wondered what he could do in there with a duel disk, as they know full well that he can't log in Link VRAINS at the current moment.
Theodore opened the door of the bathroom, sat in one the stalls and begin working well with the duel disk out of sheer spite as he could hear Flame's voice, "Theodore, what are you doing?"
"I am going to send an email to this guy with a single card and tell him to stop bothering me." he said as he began to write up and email that basically said, "Oi, take this card and leave me alone." which shocked Flame for a massive reason.
Theodore was doing this well and not breaking apart the duel disk with his bare fingers, "If I am more honest with you, I am surprised that you are not breaking this duel disk up."
"Very funny, Flame." he hates the fact that he can tell that Flame was smiling at him when he said that.
He scrolled through the library and took a card from his deck, not because he didn't see any use of it, but for the simple reason that the card was a physical copy so he doesn't have to worry in the slightest.
He picked his Salamangreat Jack Jaguar and sent the email towards the man in question that was named The Brave Battler. He can finally rel-
"Theodore, why did you just send a Cyberse card to a stranger?" asked Flame as he appeared on his duel disk.
"Oh so he couldn't bother m… oh shit." he said as he then realized his massive mistake he just made. He basically made him a massive target.
"Not to mention… the card you just sent, Salamangreat Jack Jaguar, is now missing." said Flame as he sounded like a parent going I am not mad, I am just disappointed.
"I doomed this guy, holy shit." He then turned to his duel disk, "Please don't tell Kiku or Seigen about this, please."
Flame sighed, "Fine, but if they find out, you are not blaming that on me."
Theodore gulped.
In Den City's School
"Come on, come on, respond please, Soulburner!" yelled a boy that was rather rotund, as he long dark green hair all the way to his neck, with a necklace of some kind, with large eyebrows, small eyes with light green pupils, and a massive mouth.
His uniform was like every other boy's: A simple shirt with a blue necktie, with a black short-sleeved jacket with gray lining, with black pants and shoes. Only his was open.
The boy that was, unfortunately, sitting next to him sighed as he tried to get some notes. The boy wore the standard Dec City uniform, but he was more slimmer than the green hair boy, as his eyes were green, as his hair was pointy to all hell as a simple touch could give someone a papercut, as the colours were dark blue at the back, slightly, but still dark blue on the front with some purple inside of it and pink around the blue hair. "Alright, I will bite, what is the issue here, Shima?" the boy asked.
The boy now known as Shima turned around as he saw his 'friend' aka one of the few people that blue haired boy can tolerate from the school. "Well, Yusaku, I have been trying to message Soulburner for weeks now, but for some strange reason, he just won't pick up!" he yelled as Yusaku looked at him.
"And why are you trying to contact him?" asked the boy now known as Yusaku.
"Well you see smarty pants, so I can help him in the fight against the Hanoi obviously! Why else?!" yelled Shima as Yusaku looked at him and then back at the tablet. The classroom was currently empty as it was break time.
Yusaku sighed, "Can I see the cards you want to send? It might be the cause of it." he said as Shima grinned happily at his friend, who looked so done with Shima's shit the day he met him, which no one can blame him.
He looked at his tablet that had most if not all of his information such as his social media, bank account and email, which was somewhat worrying since this was a school tablet, but he didn't dwell on that for too long as he decided to look at the catalog of cards he sent, and oh wow. This was interesting to say the least.
Now Yusaku never thought a card would be useless in a duel as he knows that every card in deck has to serve some purpose, and to carry out a single idea of a duel and how to use them, even in the most hyper specific situation, but even for him these cards are too specific.
"Well, I can see a problem here Shima, and that is it is mostly cards that have no specific type of synergy. For example, he plays a Fire Attribute deck, so it would make sense to send him cards that support his Fire Deck, right?" he asked as Shima nodded, "Right, but for some reason you gave him cards like Umi and Mistar Boy that support Water Attributed monsters. If you want him to be grateful for what you are sending him, then I suggest you giving him cards that support his deck like Salamandra." he said as Shima blinked and then grinned.
"Wow that was super genius and smart! Thanks man! I will use your advice to my fullest capability." Shima grinned ear to ear as he took the tablet from Yusaku's hands and began typing away, as he tried to find the perfect card for Soulburner.
"You are welcome, but I still don't understand the big fuss over Soulburner." Shima stopped as Yusaku continued, "Sure he is a good duelist, but I don't see him being that important." he said, not in a mocking way, but in a curious tone.
"WHAT?!" Shima's face was mere inches away from Yusaku's face as he could feel Shima's spit all over him which annoyed Yusaku to no end. "How can you say that?!"
"Well it is simple if you don't have your pepperoni breath on my neck." Yusaku said as he pushed Shima away.
"If you want to know why there is a big fuss over Soulburner and his pals," for some strange reason Seigen, Kiku and Flame felt insulted over something that comment while Theodore tried his hardest not to think about that event, "are like this superhero group, taking out the bad Knight of Hanoi from Link VRAINS!"
"Really? I couldn't tell over the months of you fanboying over them." Yusaku was completely done with Shima talking about them the day after their debut, and he doesn't blame them at all.
Shima ignored that comment, "Not to mention, Soulburner has these super special awesome cards like those Cyverse cards."
"Cyberse, Shima, Cyberse." said Yusaku as that did interest how those he also have those Cyberse monsters, but with a different archetype entirely as he would've enjoyed teaming up with Soulburner, but the only reason why he couldn't is probably because Kolter can't change his username over something that makes sense and wouldn't creep a sane person out.
"Whatevs. Not to mention, they are teaming up with The Gore! The Gore, Yusaku! The Number 1 Celebrity duelist in Link VRAINS! How can you not be excited?!" yelled Shima as Yusaku stayed quiet.
Yusaku personally thought that Blue Angel deserved that spot, but he doesn't think that Gore is undeserving of that spot since he is a good person and seems like a person that people would enjoy being around, but there was one question he had in mind, "Aren't they called Charisma Duelists?"
"Yeah, but they basically mean the same thing and it sounds simpler to say." said Shima as Yusaku nodded with him.
"I guess that makes sense." he said.
"Yeah, and I just can't wait to join them." Yusaku turned to Shima with a weird look, "I would like you to join as well, but judging that you have a duel disk that looks like it met with the dinosaurs." Yusaku looked at his duel disk which was the same as Stormrider and Soulburner's with the only difference being that it was blue.
"Well, not to sound rude, Shima, but I think you would be nothing more than a liability." said Yusaku as Shima looked offended at that.
"How can you say that?!" yelled Shima as Yusaku had three fingers up.
"Well for three reasons. One: You judge duelists, not by their skill, but the way they have a duel disk." he said as his index finger was up, and then his middle finger, "Two: You don't know much about synergy about decks since you mostly gave a Fire Attributed duelist some Water Attributed based cards." he said as he then used his ring finger to continue.
"And three: Based around the way you act, the way you base your deck and the way you give others cards that don't fit their playstyle, not to mention I haven't seen you duel in any shape or form, I can pretty much assume that you aren't a skilled duelist." said Yusaku as Shima was flabbergasted at what he heard from him.
"Oh?! Oh yeah?! At least I don't spend my time during class looking at Skye!" he yelled as Yusaku's head was red as a brown haired girl that had her hair styled in a bob cut looked at them while she was on her phone texting her brother.
"What was that?" the girl asked as Yusaku jammed his elbow into Shima's stomach.
"Nothing." said Yusaku as Skye turned around awkwardly. Yusaku then turned to Shima and begin to whisper, "Look, just listen to what I said to you and make sure that you make a deck that is consistent and only works with you. Got it?"
Shima nodded.
"Good." he said as he decided it was a good idea to go get some water before class as Shima sat down on the table.
A Little Bit Later
Shima still was fuming at what Yusaku said with those three reasons, yeah right! At least he can run a minute before passing out on the ground! He grumbled as he picked up some stuff from school as it was over for today.
But then, he realized he got an email which widened his eyes when he saw a card that he uses constantly, Salamangreat Jack Jaguar.
He for some strange reason ignored the text that said, "Oi, take this card and leave me alone." but instead focused on the card and the fact it was given to him by the Soulburner. He was shaking in excitement as his eyes were like that of stars.
As then, he had a… vision?
He was surrounded by Soulburner, Stormrider and Frostgirl as they were looking at him like he was the most important person in the world as the background was that of a dreamy world like a world of glamour of a sleepy witch.
"Shima, you all powerful duelist, we can't beat the Knights of Hanoi without you." said Stormrider in a dramatic sense as for some reason everything about him was in the winds.
"Yeah, and without your cute face, we don't stand a chance." said Frostgirl as the winds were going so fast that it was a surprise that she hasn't been flown off yet.
"So what do you say? Will you and your radical skills join us?" Okay, yeah Soulburner would say that as he gave his hand towards Shima.
Shima took it, "You don't have to tell me twice!" he yelled out.
He was snapped back to reality as he breathed in and out as he placed his duel disk on his arm, "That's right! Soulburner gave me this card! So I will make sure that nobody will get in his way! It's Time To Link Into The VRAINS!" he yelled as his duel disk said, "INTO THE VRAINS!" as he fell unconscious.
In Link VRAINS
A lone Knight Of Hanoi was walking down a couple of house as because of the Commander's Duel Gale made it so that pretty much every street was filled with a Data Storm in them so a Speed Duel could commence, which will only last until a Speed Duel is done.
The Knight of Hanoi was sweating bullets, "How in the blazing hell am I the last one of those Knights of Hanoi that is standing?! HOW!? How did I outlast Genome and Baira! I want to quit so badly, but…" he shivered at the mere thought about saying any of that to Varis or god forbid Specter, but maybe if he kindly asked Faust, maybe it could work out.
But who is he kidding with? If Varis told Faust to jump off a cliff, he would probably do it. And so would he because he does not want to anger that man. He once saw him beat 15 Knights of Hanoi as a training exercise with him only having 1 Link-4 monster with 4000 life points.
It is fair to say that he doesn't want to duel him.
The Knight of Hanoi shook his head, "Keep it together, Ryuya! You can do it! You can defeat anyone standing in your way if you believe in yourself! You can do it! Nothing is impossible! I have to push back my limits! I have to Set my heart Ablaze! I have to-" Ryuya's train of thoughts were cut as he heard a loud voice that was on a building's rooftop that was bigger than the one he was standing on.
"HEY! You Knight of Hanoi!" Ryuya turned to see a bo-

A… actually he doesn't know what he is looking at. It was a superhero costume that had a yellow and black hoverboard on his back, as he had blue eyes and red hair. He wore a helmet that had a yellow V, but the mask was turquoise, around the V were some white colouring and a green vizor that covered his eyes. He had a massive red B with the insides being gray and gold lining, as the armour was bulky and turquoise.
The arms were also bulky, but not in the sense that he got some gains, but the armour was really bulky, with gray shoulder pads with gold lining, as the gloves were black with a blue duel disk that was the same design as the Knight Of Hanoi's as the bottom part of this stranger was a bulky armour with the insides being black.
":..Who are you?" asked Ryuya as the strange man laughed up a storm.
"Who am I? Who am I?! I am going to be the one that defeats the Knights of Hanoi! The man of your nightmares!" the man began as he jumped off the building, ready to do a superhero landing, "I am the Br-"
He landed face first on the roof as Ryuya cringed seeing that. "Ow."
"Are you okay? Do you need me to call you an ambulance." genuinely asked Ryuya as the man looked at him, with what looked like some ducks around him.
"Call an amberlamps! But not for me!" he yelled as he shook his head as he slowly stood up as he readied his duel disk.
"Amberlamps?" asked Ryuya as he vividly heard that when watching some sketches about two best friends that he heard recently got back together. Man, he should really get back to watch the new sketches. "Sorry kid, but I don't think you are of interest of me and the rest of Hanoi so butt off." he said as he began walking away.
"Oh yeah?! How about I tell you, I am buddies with Soulburner!" he yelled as Ryuya as he turned around with a look that said "Bitch, U for Real?"
"When pigs fly. You don't seem like the type of guy he would recruit. Even if he was more of a generous guy, you look like a hindrance more than anything." said Ryuya as the guy smirked.
"Oh really? Then explain how I got this!" a card appeared on his duel disk as he took it to reveal Salamangreat Jack Jaguar, which made Ryuya and Faust, whom was watching this on his laptop gasp at.
"A Cyberse card!" Ryuya looked in shock at the card.
"That is right! And if you want it, come and get it!" yelled the dude with the clunky armour as the card disappeared the millisecond when Seigen, Theodore, Kiku and Flame started watching the duel over the TV because they decided to take a break in Seigen's apartment.
"Fine! Then make sure you pray for whatever god you believe in, because you will need it during a duel against the Hanoi!" yelled Ryuya as he readied his duel disk. "But first, state your name."
The dude in some nerd skin smirked as he place his right arm high, with the other arm in a lower position, but in the same direction as he slightly knelt down, "I am the Brave Battler!" yelled The Brave Battler with a smirk.
Ryuya didn't seem impressed, "The only brave thing about you is that you are still willing to dab in public." he said as Brave Battler genuinely seemed upset.
"Shut up! It is still cool!" yelled Brave Battler as Ryuya rolled his eyes. "But still, it is time for us…"

Master Duel!
Turn 1.
"I will go first!" yelled Ryuya as he swiped his hand to reveal his hand, only to gasp in shock at what he saw. 3 copies of Steelswarm Mantis, 1 copy of Steelswarm Hercules and Hand Destruction, "Oh crap! A brick! This is the only starting hand imaginable! That means… this dude has an advantage from the very start!"
The Brave Battler swiped his hand only to widen his eyes. The hand consisted of… Gameciel, the Sea Kaiju, Fantastical Dragon Phatazmay, Gorz, The Emissary Of The Darkness, Nibiru, The Primal Being and PSY- Frame Driver. "Oh no! This hand is horrible! All of my monsters have too many levels to be summoned!"
Then they looked at each other, as both of them smirked at each other, "Just what I need!" they both yelled as Ryuya looked at his hand, trying to find a way to get his brick away, as then he had an idea.
"I activate Hand Destruction! We both discard two cards from our hands!" he yelled as the card appeared on the field as two cards were then destroyed from his hand as Brave Battler didn't seem too upset, but was mentally yelling inside.
"I am not too worried about that." said The Brave Battler as two cards disappeared from his hand which were Gameciel and Nibiru.
"Then, we both can draw 2 cards from our decks!" he yelled as two cards appeared from both of their decks as both of them begin to reach for them, "Come on, come on, come on, come on."
"Don't brick. Don't brick." both of them thought as they drew their cards. "DAMN IT!"
Ryuya drew A Feather Of The Phoenix and Soul Charge while Brave Battler drew Block Attack and Tragoedia.
Pretty much everyone could tell by their expressions that they bricked harder than a stone wall.
Then, Ryuya had an idea on how he could use his hand to his advantage. "Wait a sec, this is perfect! I activate A Feather of the Phoenix!" The Spell card appeared on the field as a card appeared on his duel disk, "I discard a card from my hand, so I can add back a card from my graveyard to the top of my deck! So return, Hand Destruction!"
"That is not it! As I activate the Spell card Soul Charge! I can target any number of monsters in my graveyard, so I can special summon them on my field for the price of 1000 life points for each one!" he yelled as then three cards appeared from his graveyard as he took all of them.
"Come out, my Steelswarm Mantises!" as then three copies of the same disgusting looking monster appeared on the field. They were massive bugs with disgustingly large pincers with spikes on them, with a large tail, two wings that were pink, the front with some blue colouring, red eyes and the head shape of a mantis as the entire monster was pitch black.

"That is a very strong card, my goodness." said Theodore as the rest nodded.
"I have to agree, but there is a downside to that card and that is during the turn you activate it, you can't conduct your Battle Phase." explained Flame as Theodore nodded at him.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! THOSE ARE MASSIVELY STRONG MONSTERS! But wait, if I activate my Monster Reborn, I can summon one of my discarded monsters to deal with them!" thought Brave Battler.
"Let me guess, you are planning on summoning a monster from your graveyard to deal with them, huh?" asked Ryuya as Brave Battler kept a poker face.
"Bluff it! Bluff it!" "Maybe." "I was never good at bluffing."
"Well, don't even bother! I sacrifice my three monsters in order to summon my strongest monster in my deck! Come out, the monster that is named after the God Of Strength and Heroes! Steelswarm Hercules!" yelled Ryuya as then a massive monster appeared on the field that could rival that of the strongest of monsters.
It was a massive bulky monster that had long pink wings, a tail that could destroy buildings with a single swing, four arms that were bulky, golden gauntlets and spikes on all over the monster, a red orb on the torso, the head was that of a beetle, and the size rivaled that of Borreload Dragon.
Brave Battler mentally called for his mother.

"Oh god!"
"Holy hell!"
"That is disgustingly cool!" the three humans yelled at the same time as Flame crossed his arms, "Is something wrong, Flame?"
"Oh nothing, it is just… Isn't the God Of Heroes and Strength called Heracles and not Hercules?" asked Flame as he tilted his head in confusion.
"Oh don't worry about that. Heracles is the Greek name while Hercules is the Roman name." explained Seigen as Flame looked at him, "It is just that Hercules is just the more popular name out of the two, which might cause some confusion if they use the Greek names as well." Flame nodded in an understanding tone.
"If you think about setting up, just know that my Hercules can destroy all cards on the field once per turn for the price of half of my life points." said Ryuya as Brave Battler took a step backwards.
They were impressed with the duelist at how well he made the deck work with such a bricky hand.
"That ends my turn."
Turn 2. Brave Battler - 4000 lp - 5 card
"OKAY! THIS IS THE WORST! Not only do I have a bad starting hand, but I have to fight this thing as well?! Can I take a break at all?!" thought to himself Brave Battler as then he had another vision.
"Shima, my man, my buddy, my home slice, my homie, my brother from a different mother, my pal, my roommate, my fellow, my dawg, my bestie," said Soulburner with his face being… slightly different to say the least with the same glamour world.
"If you believe in the heart of the cards, you can defeat anything. I promise you." he said to Shima as he nodded.
"No, I can't lose, I promise, that I will win for you, Soulburner! As I promise I won't be a liability, but rather someone that you can admire and call someone your comrade! I promise that no matter what happens, I will always be at your side." Brave Battler then continued onwards as the silence filled the rest of Link VRAINS.
Theodore, Kiku, Seigen and Flame didn't know what to say, Alec felt bad for Ryuya to duel this moron and Ryuya and Steelswarm Hercules looked at each other in confusion.
"As even if I have to fight the strongest person alive, if it means that you will be safe, I will do it! You can count on me! Even if I die, I will make sure that I will go down swinging! As you will remembe-"
"Will you continue your turn and not your day dream!?" yelled Ryuya as everyone else agreed with the lone Knight of Hanoi.
"Oh! Right! My turn! I draw!" yelled Brave Battler as he drew the top card of his deck as he then smirked, "ALRIGHT! I am gonna win! As to show that I am his sidekick, I am going to summon Salamangreat Jack Jaguar!"
"Wait, what?"
"Pardon?"
"Oh no."
"You done goofed up."
They then saw Theodore's Salamangreat Jack Jaguar appear on the field as Alec began to immediately think about how to use this user.

Seigen turned to Theodore as did Kiku, "Explain dumbass." said Seigen in a demanding tone.
"I… ugh, well you see, um." Theodore tried to formulate words, but nothing can come out.
Thankfully, Flame was there to help him, "Theodore sent a card to this duelist and now they are using it right now." he explained.
"After what we said to you to do… you ignored it." said Kiku as Theodore gulped. Oh no, upset girlfriend always upsets him.
"Look, Kiku, guys, I didn't know it would send the actual copy. I just wanted to… make him shut up." he said as he bit his lip, "Please don't be mad."
"I am not mad, I am merely… disappointed." Theodore nearly fell to the ground at what Kiku said.
Back to the duel, "And that is not all… I think, wait give me a minute." Brave Battler began to read his cards once more, including Salamangreat Jack Jaguar and grinned happily, "Alright! This works! I activate Block Attack! Making your monster switch to defense mode!"
"Wait what?!" yelled Ryuya as he saw his monster with massive attack points go to a mode where he had nothing of attack points. Ryuya took a step backwards, "Well at least I will still have my life points intact!"
"Nuh uh!"
"Fuck you mean nuh uh?!"
"I mean that my Salamangreat Jack Jaguar," Brave Battler read the effect again in the same minute, "can deal piercing battle damage!" he yelled as Ryuya took a step backwards from the shock of this master turn.
"NO!"
"YES! BATTLE! Salamangreat Jack Jaguar attacks your bug with Fire Fang!" he yelled as the fangs of the Salamangreat Jack Jaguar began to burn as it then began to charge directly at the Steelswarm Hercules that was in an X position as it bit its arm which made the monster explode, making Ryuya fly off the building and directly towards the Data Storm, turing into data.

THE BRAVE BATTLER: WINNER!
"YEAH HAH HAH! I DID IT! I AM THE WINNER!" yelled The Brave Battler as he clapped his hands into excitement as he did a little dance for his victory, "None of y'all can compete! I did it! WOOOOOOO! YEEEAAAAHHHHH BABY! THAT IS WHAT EVERYONE IS READY FOR! THIS IS WHAT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT! WOO!" he cheered even harder.
To be completely frank, the fact that The Brave Battler was able to turn around the tide of the duel in such a short way was impressive, but there was one thing that they knew and it is the fact that he is at best an amateur at dueling. Not saying that he is god awful at the game, but rather, a person who needs some advice to be decent at the game.
Which okay, they just have to log in, tell him to return the card back to Theodore, which would be slightly difficult, but it could if you give him 2 good cards, and then all is fine! Sure they will scold the living hell out of Theodore, but hey. That is a fun thing to do.
Alright, that is just it and it won't take too long. At best it will take around 10 minu-
"Ahh, so you have a Cyberse card as well." Brave Battler's cheering stopped the millisecond he heard a voice that he didn't recognize which was behind him, as the four groaned when they saw what looked like a Lieutenant. Brave Battler slowly turned around to see Faust looking at him.
"AHHH! Who the heck are you?!" yelled Brave Battler in worry as he looked at Faust as the man smirked at the reaction.
"I am Faust of the Knights Of Hanoi and the last of the Commanders." introduced himself Faust as he looked at him, "I am here for a card that you have, so either give it to me, duel me for it or call Soulburner or any of his allies to show up here. Now." ordered Faust as Brave Battler stood his ground.
"No way am I going to do that! This card is my way of showing my friendship with Soulburner and his pals so you can't have your dirty fingers on it!" yelled Brave Battler as Faust didn't look bothered by that.
"That wasn't a request, but that doesn't matter to me. Since, you won't give the card to me, then… duel me for it." Faust said.
"Wait, wha? You must be joking! I don't know how to Speed Duel!" yelled Brave Battler as he knew from what Faust was gesturing around the streets, which will be cleared after the Speed Duel is finished.
"You think that matters to me? I said, duel me." said Faust as Brave Battler tried to log out, but Faust quickly and swiftly pulled out a blue chain from his sleeves and threw it around Brave Battler's wrist.
"Wha?! What the heck is this?!" questioned Brave Battler as Faust looked at him.
"This… is a Duel Anchor, a device that allows me to capture anyone I want and the only way it can be dispelled is if you and I duel and the duel ends." explained Faust, "In other words, you can't escape unless you want to duel me." he said as Brave Battler quickly sweated bullets.
In the real world, Theodore stood up, "I am going to sav-"
"Nah, you are staying here." Kiku, Theodore and Flame looked at Seigen in surprise.
"Seigen? You want to duel him? But why?" asked Flame as the Nephthys duelist smiled at the Fire Ignis.
"Well there are 3 reasons for that." Seigen pulled out his hand as his index finger was the only one up, "One: There is school tomorrow and I know damn well that if anyone else logs in, they will fail miserably at the test." he then raised his middle finger, "Two: This will allow Teddy to study after he gave him the card without asking us."
Theodore gulped as he slightly moved away, as Seigen raised his ring finger, "And three: I can't be the only one without a Cyberse card." he said as that did bring up a good point. With the sole exception of Gore, Seigen was the only one that didn't have a single Cyberse monster. They doubt that Gore even needs one, but that is still a good thought to have.
"Alright, sure! Knock em' dead, Seigen!" cheered Theodore.
"We will be there for you!" said Kiku.
"Thanks. And I will need it. Flame will you do the honours." he said as Flame appeared on his duel disk as he grinned, "Thanks. Now, off I go, and please, don't make out on my couch." he said as he smirked when he saw those reactions when he logged in.
"I AM NOT DUELING YOU!" yelled Brave Battler as he was on the floor with his fingers on the roof's pavement, trying his absolute hardest not to get pulled by Faust.
"You will duel wherever you like it or not!" yelled Faust as he thought about going to the gym after this entire thing is over so he doesn't experience this thing again.
"Oi! You ain't duelin' nobody except for me!" Faust and Brave Battler turned to see Stormrider on top of the rooftop that Brave Battler was on.
Both Faust and Brave Battler yelled "Stormrider!" one in a confused tone while the other in an excited tone as both of them can see Flame sitting down on the duel disk.
"That's right and I will duel you if," Stormrider jumped from the top of that rooftop to the bottom of the other building, but this time he did the landing perfectly as he pointed at Brave Battler, "you let that guy out!"
Faust looked at him, "And how do I know you will not just log out?" he asked as Flame explained it.
"Because you can wrap another Duel Anchor on us if you don't believe us. So go ahead, we won't stop you." said Flame as Faust quickly got another one and threw it around Stormrider's wrist, who showed no reaction to this.
"See? Now, get that man out of the anchor." said Stormrider as he began walking over to Brave Battler whose Duel Anchor disappeared as he stood up.
"Stormrider! You are so cool! And thank you so much! How can I repay you?!" yelled Brave Battler as Stormrider looked at him.
"You can just give me the Salamangreat Jack Jaguar." Brave Battler's eyes widened when he said that.
"What?! NO! I won't give it to you! This card is the prime example of my friendship with Soulburner." he said as Stormrider and Flame looked at each other as the former sighed.
"Look, how about I give you these cards," he said as he took from his pockets two cards: Pot Of Greed and Polymerization, "For that card? It works well with pretty much any deck and all you need is some good Fusion monster."
"Bu-"
"Don't worry about anything, these cards were actually given by Soulburner himself, so you don't have to worry about giving a card away." Flame did lie to the guy, but he didn't mean to hurt the guy as pretty much nobody could tell him otherwise that he was given a card by one of his buddies.
"Well… sure! Here you go!" Brave Battler gave the Fire Cyberse monster as he took those two cards and logged off.
"Now, it is time for ou-"
"Ey, buddy, can you be quiet for 5 minutes? I am trying to write an email over here! Once I am done, then we can start dueling!" Faust was taken aback at what he said, but sighed as he knew that he won't get on his good side if he doesn't listen so he just crosses his arms and waits for him to finish.
Flame was taken aback at how many swear words he made in the past 5 minutes as it was the most angry message he had ever read and knew that if he did write it for anyone, it would be banned on any other site.
After he was done, he sent the email and the card to Theodore, who was taken aback at what he wrote.
Stormrider then looked at Faust, "Alright, so let me guess. You want to duel me for the Ignis, if you lose, you turn into data, but if you win, I turn into data and you get Flame? Right?" asked Stormrider as Faust nodded with him.
"That is right, and soon everyone will see the might of the Hanoi! So prepare yourself, Stormrider! For a Speed Duel!" he yelled as both of them ran from the buildings and jumped.

And done! Chapter 19 with 11k words?! I know right!? Pretty damn fast as well as it took me like 4 days to write all of this. I have no life lmao.
So about this chapter, I decided to have some fun with the interactions more like with Gore and the dudes on the phone, just talking about school and life, some scenes with Alec and our Heroes, not to mention… Yusaku's appearance! And probably his last speaking one in this season. *Sad emoji* Shima here was so fun to write, I can't wait for season 2, it was so fun.
Also, StardustMaiden, I hope you enjoyed some of the Angelmaker teasing ;), and ThunderMarisol, hope you enjoyed some Entrust.
I really want to add Ryuya back to the fic in Season 2 and 3 since he was probably the most fun I had writing a character, because it was so fun. Maybe he will be an assistant to them as he is mentally screaming on how on Earth he is still there. He is definitely the 6th strongest Knight Of Hanoi. Fun Fact: His name was based on Black Clover's Land Of The Sun's Shogun: Ryuya Ryudo. These references never stop btw.
Next duel is Faust vs Stormrider, as Faust has a deck by the name of Worms and Seigen might have a new Cyberse monster.
