Chapter 43 The Answers (Contact & Revelation)
A.N. – Last combo chapter of the season. I don't how many season 3 will have, being only 13 episodes. So, nothing much changes except for Revelation where A will be the one looking for Odd, and a new point of view due to a scene inn Revelation that was a highlight of this season.
Short Summary – After Sissi becomes possessed by a strange force that's not Xana, the group works to figure out what she is trying to tell them.
Short Summary – After receiving a message from Franz Hopper, they try to decode Franz Hopper's diary to unlock the secrets that still remain unanswered.

Contact
A was walking towards the theater to see Odd's short film. She know these next few day would be stressful, more for her than the others. She would have to make sure the diary is decoded and then betray the warriors in the end to ensure her future's survival more. There was still a lot to be done before she could return, but accomplishing this would be a big accomplishment. But for now, this was an effective way to unwind before the stress begins.
A arrives at the back of the room as Mr. Chardin was giving a big speech about the film and art behind it. Suddenly, the film begins interrupting him and he moves out of the view. The film shows Odd running away in terror. He then runs into a student playing the role of Jim. Jim, however, remains unamused. As the student tries to escort him to the infirmary, Sissi shows up as a giant which has all the students, even A, laughing at her. She becomes infuriated by this and stops the movie. She starts to threaten him.
"Odd, you are nothing, but a-" A specter enters her, and A sees it. She has a confused look on her face, knowing that Xana had no attack planned for today. She starts stammering and soon starts speaking in gibberish. Thinking something bad has happened, Jim escorts her to the infirmary.
A walks past them, up to the group. She hears Yumi. "You think it's Xana?"
"Impossible. No pulsations detected prior to this event. Plus, if she were possessed she would go in like a madman to try to eliminate you, and kidnap Aelita to take her to the Scyphozoa" A replies.
"A is right. No activated tower on the superscan. This is not Xana" Jeremy adds.
A received a message this morning to meet up in the lab. He said it had something to do with the way Sissi has been acting.
"A message in code? Written by Sissi?" Ulrich asks.
"Uh huh. I ran the supercomputer all night to translate it. And look what turned up" Jeremy plays the recording. It starts out as Sissi's gibberish and then it sounds like a man saying, 'I can help you.'
"I can help you?" Yumi replies with question.
"It has to be a trap by Xana. He must have found a way to possess people without activating a tower" Ulrich replies.
"I told you, no pulsations. And even if Xana were behind this, he wouldn't hold back trying to get Aelita to the Scyphozoa" A responds.
"Yeah, even with that Franz Hopper trick, he tried to manipulate us in order to send in Aelita alone to drain her memory" Jeremy adds, defending A.
"But who is this guy can help us?" Odd asks.
"Only one way to find out. Talk to Sissi again."
"Maybe me, Aelita, and A should check out Lyoko to make sure Xana ain't up to something" Ulrich says, still convinced Xana is behind this.
"Okay, the rest of you are to get Sissi and bring her here."
A, Aelita, and Ulrich are in the scanners and are virtualized to the forest sector. They arrive to find the Overbike waiting for them. A activates her wings and takes to the sky and Aelita and Ulrich take off on the Overbike. As they approach an open part of land they spot something that shouldn't be there.
"Hey Jeremy, has the superscan picked up anything yet?" Ulrich asks.
"No, why?"
"Because there is something waiting her for us" A responds.
"I'll give you a visual" Aelita adds.
"What the heck is this white tower supposed to mean!?"
"I was about to ask the same thing" Ulrich replies.
A lands next to it. "Maybe this is related to Sissi's possession." The two start to approach but a megatank appears behind them. "Behind you!" Ulrich quickly turns the bike to the left to avoid being run over and megatank doesn't care and continues to the tower. It stops and opens. "Not this time. Energy field!" She fires and it blows up. A few more show up and start to destroy it. "I could use some help over her!"
"A's right. Get over there and protect the tower!" Jeremy command them.
Aelita was driving the Overbike, and they approached a megatank and gets its attention. It starts to fire at them. Ulrich jumps off the Overbike and runs up the tower and then lands on the megatank. He stabs the symbol and jumps off as the monster explodes.
"Guys, Xana has just activated a tower in the ice sector. Whatever this tower is, Xana is on to it and wants it to stop."
"What should we do? Protect this tower, or deactivate the other one?" Ulrich asks.
"Deactivate the other one! Leave this one to me!" A shouts, not knowing why he's even questioning it.
"Okay then. Aelita we're heading to the ice sector."
"Okay A, it's up to you to defend the tower" Jeremy says.
"No problem" A responds.
A is in the sky, firing multiple orbs. The megatank closes its shell to defend. A growls. She dives bombs it. It fires at her and A knife flights to avoid it. She creates an energy orb and fires when she's at point blank range. It blows up and there is only one left.
"A, the tower is about to give. You gotta do something" Jeremy urges.
"I'm doing all I can Jeremy. Xana is determined to destroy this tower at all costs!"
"Just hold out long enough for Sissi to get here and type the rest of the code. If we get enough, we can solve this mystery."
A stands between the last megatank and the tower. "Just you and me now." It fires and A connects two orbs to block it. She uses all her remaining willpower to hold back the blast. "If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me!" She starts to push back and they both fire. "Energy field!" It hits her, the megatank is also hit and unfortunately so is the tower. It goes offline as A devirtualizes.
A collapses in exhaustion just as Aelita deactivates the tower. "A, the tower has been deactivated. We got to hurry, before Sissi wakes up" Jeremy informs her.
Luckily for them, they were able to get Sissi out of the factory before she regained consciousness. A was in Jeremy's room, listening to Odd's proposition.
"Listen Sissi, I know I was harsh in that last movie, so I want to make you the star of my next film" Odd proposes.
"Oh why? So I can be a giant a second time? Fat chance!" She retorts.
"No, you'll be normal size. The plot is you'll be possessed by a mysterious being trying to make contact with humans, and it all takes place in a virtual universe."
She gets an angry expression and opens the door to see Jeremy on the other side. "Huh? Everything okay Sissi?"
"How do you expect everything to be okay when I'm surrounded by big, fat losers!" She walks away.
After she leaves, they all tell her that Odd offered her a role in his next film, based off the events that transpired. Obviously, she rejected. Jeremy walks up to his computer and inserts a disc with all of Sissi's codes she entered.
The voice starts to make sense. "I can help you. I want to enter into contact with you. I am Franz Hopper."
"I am Franz Hopper?" Aelita murmurs back.
'He did it. Now time for part two' A thinks.
Revelation
A was visiting her father in Xana's prison. She had a special gift to give her father. "Dad? Are you there?"
"Yes, my dear. I hope you saw that I made contact" Franz replied.
"Yes. You did good. They know you're not lost."
"Why are you here?"
"I came to give you the power to override Xana. The warriors are going to try to decode your diary and I have a feeling Xana will try to stop them. It will be up to you to help them if Xana is about to win." She uploads a program for her father to use. "Goodbye dad. I love you."
"Love you too dear, current and future you."
The group is returning from a mission from the fifth sector. Jeremy has finished looking over the new data. "So, anything good?" Aelita asks.
"No. I wouldn't call it good," Jeremy responds, confusing Aelita. "More like amazing!" Aelita's confusion is replaced with shock. "With this, I bet I can crack the code on Franz Hopper's diary."
"We'll be able to finally figure out the secrets behind Lyoko and A here" Ulrich adds.
"The only problem is I'll need a supercomputer to process a large amount of data. I'll have to activate a tower or two" Aelita says. The group would like to avoid that after last time.
"Uh, that didn't go well last time. Xana hates it when we play with his toys" Yumi replies.
"And considering how mad he is, I may not reach the tower in time or have the opportunity to deactivate it" A adds.
"I know, but we absolutely need this data. If it can help us free A and Aelita, we have no other choice" Jeremy says.
"Alright, can we go eat now? It's mashed potatoes today!" Odd asks.
"Have my portion. I'll stay here and prepare the mission."
"I'll return back to Lyoko. Be fully rested for this. Contact me when ready" A adds.
A was relaxing, going through different scenarios. There was only one scenario that she wanted, decode diary, and have Xana escape Lyoko. It's the only way to save her future from the event. But for her to secure her future, they would have to destroy Xana.
"A, alert. Xana has activated a tower in the mountain sector. The location is due North or your current position" Jeremy says.
"Okay, I'm on my way" A says.
A arrives to see the others. Only thing is Odd looks a little different, like he was sulking. "Hey, is Odd there? There was bug during the transfer and- hey, the tower just deactivated itself" Jeremy says.
"Well Odd is here. Xana didn't have time to launch an attack. We got here too quick" Ulrich replies.
"Well, let's resume with our initial mission. We have a dairy to decode." The five head to a tower to decode Franz's diary. Aelita enters a unactive tower and a few minutes later the tower turns green, signaling Jeremy has activated it. As the four stand guard, Xana sends some monsters their way. "Watch out guys. You have company."
Three tarantulas appear from the fog and head towards the tower. The three prepare to fight but Odd fires at Yumi as she devirtualizes. A tackles him. "Odd! What's gotten into you?" She briefly sees the sign of Xana flash in his eyes. "Xana…" He pushes her off him and A lands sliding back slightly. She is struck multiple times before she can counterattack and is also devirtualized. "Jeremy, Xana has Odd or Xana is Odd. Whatever it is, Ulrich is in danger."
"I know. I see" Jeremy replies. "My guess is that this Odd is one of Xana's specters. It imitated him in order to for me to send him to Lyoko."
"Any reason why Xana would want that?" Yumi asks.
"Look there" a points out as the tower starts to turn between Xana and Jeremy's activation.
"Uh no! Aelita, Xana is trying to take control of the tower. Abort immediately!" Jeremy warns.
"Okay" Aelita replies.
"I detected Odd's mobile. He's in the woods" Jeremy says.
"Yumi, with me. We'll find him" A says as the two depart.
Ulrich's Point of View
Ulrich is dealing with Xana Odd alone. But not only that, but he also has to defeat the tarantulas Xana sent to protect the tower. "Ulrich, Xana is about to take control of the tower. You have to stop it!" Jeremy informs him.
"Okay, but how?" Ulrich asks.
"You have to isolate the tower. Try cutting the cables."
Ulrich turns around but the tarantulas fire at him as he approaches. He jumps off his bike and it pushes a tarantula to the wall destroying it. He land son the second one and stabs the eye destroying it. There was only one and Xana Odd left. He lands next to the cables but is unable to cut it as Xana Odd arrives.
"You're wasting your time Xana. Odd has never beaten me yet!" Ulrich declares. Xana Odd then transforms into a clone of Ulrich to even the playing field. "Uh, well, that changes things." Xana runs up to him and they lock swords, sparks flying from them.
A's Point of View
A and Yumi arrive at the location in the woods. Yumi dials Odd's number, and they hear and see his phone, but no Odd. "Here's his phone" Yumi says.
"The Hermitage is that way" A points at the path and they run to it.
Ulrich's Point of View
Ulrich is struggling to hold off Xana and the tarantula also fires at him. Every combo that Ulrich does, Xana matches making it an even matchup with no clear victor. The two run down the pathway and make it to an arena like area and duel. Eventually Xana is able to steal Ulrichs' sword and now Ulrich is defenseless.
"Hey, no fair!" Ulrich says as Xana can now duel wield both swords.
A's Point of View
A and Yumi arrive at the Hermitage, but no sign of Odd. They start to search for any signs.
Ulrich's Point of View
"Xana is about to take over! Ulrich what are you doing?" Jeremy demands.
"I just got one little thing to take care off," Ulrich says as he is dodging Xana's slashes. Xana spins and kicks Ulrich away. He slides to a stop, still standing on his feet. The tow stare down at each other. Ulrich eggs him on and Xana rushes him. He swings his right arm, but Ulrich catches the sword in his hands. He grabs it and stabs Xana through the chest, defeating him. "All done Jeremy."
"Make it fast now!" Ulrich takes off but forgets about the third tarantula and is devirtualized before being able to isolate the tower.
A's Point of View
The girls walk around calling out Odd's name, but don't get a response. Yumi eventually steps in a puddle coming from the running faucet. She turns it off.
"Yumi look!" A points out and sees Odd in the grate. She bends down and tries to pull it off. "Yumi, give me a hand." They both start to pull as hard as possible. They eventually pull it off and A and Yumi both grab him.
"No girl has ever kept me waiting this long" Odd remarks and all three of them share a laugh.
Aelita's Point of View
Aelita was hopeless as Xana was about to steal all of their data and render them helpless. "Hey," Aelita says as the decoding restarts at full speed.
"What's going on? Aelita?" Jeremy asks.
"I don't get it. It looks as if Xana has lost control of the tower."
"Franz Hopper. He is helping us out. What's going on your end?"
"The decoding is going full speed."
Aelita stares in awe as the decoding ends.
The group was in Jeremy's bedroom, and he was explaining Franz Hopper's diary. "Franz Hopper was the creator of Xana. In his diary, he wrote down everything that happened during the creation of Lyoko."
"That means you can free A and me!" Aelita says with excitement.
"Yeah, it does, but there's something more. Before Franz Hopper virtualized himself, before falling victim to Xana, he lived here on Earth."
"We already knew that" Yumi responds.
"Yes, but there were two things. There were no tests run, and he had a little girl that he virtualized too."
"And what happened to her? Did she fall victim to Xana too?" Odd asks.
"No, she lived on Lyoko." They all turn towards Aelita.
"Huh? But that's impossible! If Hopper's daughter were on Lyoko, I would have known about it!"
"But…if Aelita is real then what about…" Ulrich points to where A is but she has mysteriously disappeared.
A's Point of View
A was back on Lyoko in sector five to visit Xana one last time. They knew the whole truth…everything. She got out as fast as possible to avoid the questions. They would eventually put everything together and know she is Aelita of the future.
"They know now. Now, my keys" Xana asks.
"Yes, relax. You will have the keys by tomorrow. The group will want to free Aelita as soon as possible" A responds.
"But how did you know that-" Xana pauses. "Of course, with the knowledge of the future, which is the present right now, you knew this day would come when we started working together, eventually."
"Of course. I had to keep quiet. Tomorrow, lure them in with a fake fragment. When it's just me, Ulrich, and Aelita. I'll devirtualize Ulrich, deliver Aelita and then you will have the keys."
"It's been a pleasure working with you." Xana shakes her hand. One last mission for her to save her future.
A.N. – Now the stage is set for the season finale The Key! Next week, secrets will be revealed, the warriors will be betrayed, and Xana will achieve true victory.
