Assassins in the Wizarding World.

Quick Note - If you are wondering why the chapter title is chapter 21 instead of the name, it's because the title is too long. Don't worry, the chapter is still part two, only it doesn't have a name.

Chapter Twenty-One: A Shocked Reaction and Defeating a Memory (Part Two)

Previously in the last chapter.

The Empire Group weren't that much affected by what Riddle said, given how they were assassins and seen lots of death before, but it still didn't stop them from becoming shocked and horrified. Even Esdeath felt shocked and hoor at what she learned. It was true she had killed and tortured lots of people in her dimension, due to her strongly believe the survival of the fittest, but she would never stoop so low to kill a child; she wasn't that heartless. Esdeath can be a concerned parent if she sees an orphan kid.

But as everyone was trying to recover themselves from what Riddle said about creating a Horcrux, especially the murdering part, one question sprung into their minds…a question that made them gain a dreaded feeling in their stomachs.

What else has Riddle got to say when he's still under the Truth Potion?

(In the Present; With Harry)

It took a while for Harry to recover since he was still shocked and horrified from learning Riddle's immortality, which caused a shiver run down his spine. Honestly, he shouldn't be surprised at this information because Riddle was, as he thought moments ago, a monster who cared nothing about the human population but only loves wiping out life and casting the Cruciatus Curse, along with the Killing Curse, on victims.

Wiping out life and casting two of the Unforgivable Curses on victims are the only things the Dark Lord loves doing ever since he became, well, a Dark Lord.

Still, though, Harry had not expected Riddle to create such foul things to become immortal. Why did the former student at Hogwarts fifty years ago create them? More importantly, how many did he make? Harry had a feeling he had already destroyed one of the Horcruxes – the diary in Second year – but he wouldn't know the answer unless he asked questions.

Speaking of questions, Harry gained new ones after hearing the explanation on how to create a Horcrux. But before he could ask one of them, he wanted to know something ever since the interrogation began, which was Riddle's fear. "Why did you create Horcruxes? What was the point of making them if they were so dangerous and evil to begin with?"

"I created Horcruxes because I was afraid of death," Riddle replied, obviously trying his best not to answer that question since he was about to reveal his greatest fear, despite already revealing it. "I didn't want to die since I had so many plans for the Magical World, which was changing its bigoted views, changing the narrow minds about Dark magic and uniting the school as one. I experienced the bigotry right after I was sorted into Slytherin, forcing me to lie about my status. I also wanted to build orphanages for the next generation to live in so that they won't be raised in the Muggle World; they'll be able to adapt to our world easily without having to ask questions."

'Interesting,' Harry thought, placing a hand on his chin. 'Despite being satisfied with the answer to my first question, Riddle's plans are the same as mine but have one difference, which is the orphanage for the next generation.' While Harry was unnerved Riddle's plans were the same as his own plans to change the Magical World, there was one different between his and the Dark Lord's, which was building orphanages for the next generation of Wizards and Witches.

Building orphanages for Magical kind was an extremely great idea because the children wouldn't endure child abuse, enjoy their childhood and learn about the Magical World.

However, despite becoming unnerved Riddle's plans were the same as Harry's plans but with one difference, something wasn't adding up. If Riddle had so many plans to change the Magical World, why would he suddenly want to conquer it? Feeling his unnerved being turned into suspicion, Harry asked a new important question that popped into his head. "Why did you want to conquer the Magical World if you had so many plans to change it, Riddle? Some of those plans you said would've done a great service to not only the world, but to the next generation of Wizards and Witches."

"To be fair, Potter, conquering the Magical World wasn't something I intended to do," Riddle replied, causing Harry's eyes to widen in great shock. Riddle had no intention of conquering the Magical World? That did not make any sense at all. Harry wondered if there was something wrong with the Truth Potion; did he need to give Riddle another dose and has he, Riddle, had fought it off?

"What do you mean conquering the Magical World wasn't something you intended to do, Riddle? You clearly wanted to rule it when you revealed you had so many plans. What changed your mind?"

"My mind about changing the Magical World to conquering it was right after I finished creating my Horcruxes. I had been in extremely great pain every time I split my soul, something I didn't find pleasant, and every Horcrux I made caused my mind to become more of a ravage beast than human. You could say I was already a monster to begin with, but the Horcruxes made me what I am in the real world."

(At Hogwarts; With the Crowd)

"The Horcruxes…made Riddle what he is?" Susan asked, trying to wrap her head with all the information she heard, especially the no intention of conquering the Magical World part. She, like everyone in Europe, clearly does not believe what Riddle said.

"That doesn't make sense," Hermione said, also trying to wrap her head with all the information she heard. "How can creating such awful things turn someone into a monster if they were already a monster?"

"It's actually quite simple, Miss Granger," Esdeath replied, hearing what Hermione said and getting everyone's attention at Hogwarts. "By splitting his soul into who knows how many containers – I hope Harry asks that particular question; we do need to know how many Horcruxes there are – the humanity Riddle had inside him slowly vanished and was replaced with the monster you all know and feared."

'You got that right, Professor,' Everyone in Hogwarts thought, remembering the horrific stories the Dark Lord has done during the war in the 1970s. It had not been pleasant to hear of the following:

The killing.

The raids.

The destruction.

The kidnappings.

The torture.

The blood baths.

The disappearances of people.

The wide-spread panic and paranoia.

Most importantly…the fear of seeing the Dark Mark hovering over a house that's been marked for termination.

There were many more awful things the Dark Lord and his followers had done during the First Wizarding War, but the ones that had been listed were actually more important. The people in Magical Britain had already experienced so much loss and pain after the war, they do not want to experience it again. However, there was one question they wanted to know.

How long will it take until peace can finally sweep over the Magical World without any rising Dark Lords?

(Back with Harry and Riddle)

'I better move on with the interrogation before my mind becomes a mess from what I heard,' Harry thought a few moments later, shaking his head. 'Especially that no intention of conquering the Magical World part. I call bullshit Riddle wanted to change our society into a better one; he just wants to rule it by himself only without anyone by his side.'

What Harry thought was true; Riddle wanted to rule the Magical World by himself and himself only without anyone by his side. He would instantly kill all his followers, including the faithful ones like Bellatrix, the moment he conquers the world, revealing his true colors. Why anyone wants to serve a person who clearly has no regard for human life was beyond Harry, but he quickly figure out the reason why: Stupidity. That was the reason why many people joined Riddle…because they were stupid.

For a moment, Harry considered asking Riddle if everything he did was for the Pureblood cause or his own desires just to spite the real one and the Death Eaters but decided against it. He was getting very tired, both physically and mentally, from all the events that's been happening lately, including the interrogation, and wanted to take a long peaceful nap in a comfortable bed. Harry knew he couldn't do the last part until he completed the Elemental Trials, so it was decided he would ask a few more questions before he eliminated Riddle.

"How many Horcruxes did you make, Riddle?" Harry asked, wanting to know the second important question he thought of minutes ago after getting over his shock from learning Riddle's immortality. "And did the dairy I destroy during Second year was one as well? Answer the second question first before answering the first."

"The answer to your second question was indeed a Horcrux," Riddle replied, causing Harry to become relief. One Horcrux down, who knows how many to go. "As for the first question, I made seven Horcruxes."

And Harry's relief turned into pure shock after hearing how many Horcruxes Riddle created. He expected two or three of them, not…this many. It was impossible, insane even. No Wizard has ever made so many Horcruxes. The least number of them would be two or three, but that's it. There shouldn't be any more. Yet, Riddle managed to do it at the age of sixteen.

Harry was so shocked at the number of Horcruxes Riddle made he couldn't help but blurt out the words that everyone in Europe would soon follow.

"YOU MADE SEVEN HORCRUXES?!"

(Back at Hogwarts; With the Crowd)

Harry wasn't the only one very much shocked at what Riddle said. Every single Magical person in Europe was very much shocked at how many Horcruxes Riddle created. They thought he made two or three Horcruxes, not seven. It was completely impossible, insane even. No Wizard or Witch in the Magical World would ever try splitting their soul into so many pieces, including ones who do know about Horcruxes. They're not that stupid or desperate to live forever.

But Riddle split his soul into so many pieces and he either ignored the dangers of doing so since splitting your soul can cause excessive mental damage or didn't care as he wanted to live forever.

Either way, hearing how many Horcruxes Riddle created convinced everyone in Europe that he was not the worst Dark Lord in history but a rabid animal with delusions of grandeur and empty lies.

Still, it didn't stop everyone in Europe from shouting out the same thing Harry said in pure shock and disbelief. "SEVEN HORCRUXES?! HE MADE SEVEN HORCRUXES?!"

(Back with Harry and Riddle)

"How is it possible for you to make seven Horcruxes?!" Harry demanded after getting out of his shock state once again. How many times is he going to be in shock whenever Riddle reveals something dramatic? It's getting annoying. "And how many Horcruxes do people make if they learned about them?!"

"The least amount of Horcruxes people usually make if they learned about them is either two or three," Riddle explained calmly, as if he didn't say one of his biggest secrets. The calm tone was something Harry hated so much he resisted the urge to punch Riddle. "I, however, wanted to take a step further and see how many Horcruxes I could make, which is thanks to my former Potions teacher fifty years ago."

That last sentence caught Harry's attention. A former teacher at Hogwarts fifty years ago told Riddle about Horcruxes? That didn't make sense once again. Harry was now tempting to give Riddle another dose of the Truth Potion since he's starting to think it had worn off a while ago, but every time he asks a question, Riddle always replies to it. Maybe the Truth Potion is still active, but Riddle just wants to shock Harry with his answers.

Either way, Harry is moving on with the interrogation but wanted to know what Riddle meant by that sentence he just heard. "What do you mean it was thanks to your former Potions teacher fifty years ago that you made seven Horcruxes? I thought you said you had learned them during your Sixth year."

"I did learn Horcruxes during my Sixth year, Potter, I only approached my former teacher to see how many of them I could make. It had been extremely amusing seeing him become very nervous when I asked about Horcruxes and the number I wanted to make; he looked ready to faint."

"Of course, you would find that funny," Harry groaned, not surprised at what Riddle said, while feeling sympathy for the former Potions teacher fifty years ago. He wondered if the guy was forced into telling the Dark Lord about Horcruxes. Probably not, considering Riddle had been a brilliant student at Hogwarts and gotten the teachers to favor him with his charming-polite personality.

The charming-polite personality had to be the reason why the former Potions teacher told Riddle about Horcruxes. It's the only explanation Harry had since he couldn't see how else to gain information about immortality, except forcing the answer out of the person.

Pushing the charming-polite personality aside, Harry got back to the interrogation, not before adding another dose of Truth Potion into Riddle's mouth, which took a bit since the latter refused to open his mouth for some strange reason. This made Harry suspicious and wondered if Riddle was trying to stop himself from revealing more dirty secrets. "You said you created seven Horcruxes, Riddle, so what objects did you use to contain a part of your soul?"

"The objects I used to contain a part of my soul are treasures I had stolen when I was young," Riddle replied, remembering the days he used his charming-polite personality to meet the people who had the Founder's items. It had taken a great ounce of patience to acquire the items since he couldn't just demand the people to hand them over to him after one look, he needed to earn their trust first and that was something Riddle achieved before he took the items. "It took a while to get a hold of them, but I managed to get the treasures."

"Like before, that doesn't answer my question. Just tell me the objects you used to contain a part of your before I lose my patience and curse you into oblivion." To emphasize his point, Harry lifted his sword up and channeled the Exploding Charm onto it, making the runes become white.

"The objects I used to contain a part of my soul are three of the four Founder's items," Riddle's reply caused Harry to become greatly shocked. Three of the Founder's items were Horcruxes?! How?! "Which are Ravenclaw's diadem, Hufflepuff's cup and Slytherin's locket. The other objects are my diary, my ancestor's family ring, my pet snake and you, Potter."

'How the hell did Riddle find three of the four Founder's items and turned them into Horcruxes?!' Harry demanded in his mind, wondering how the hell Riddle found three of the four Founder's items. 'It shouldn't be possible since no Witch or Wizard has ever seen the items for over a thousand years…right when the Founders met their great adventure in the afterlife, so how is it possible Riddle found them?'

(Back at Hogwarts; With the Crowd)

Harry wasn't the only one thinking about how Riddle found three of the four Founder's items. The moment he revealed the objects he used to contain a part of his soul, there was a massive uproar from the entire students of Hogwarts, along with the teachers. But the loudest uproar came from Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.

"How dare that devil freak taint Ravenclaw's diadem with his soul?!" A female Ravenclaw student exclaimed angrily, her face red as a lobster.

"A part of You-Know-Who's soul is inside Hufflepuff's cup?!" A male Hufflepuff shouted in horror, unable to understand why a precious item needed to be tainted with foul magic.

"How could You-Know-Who taint Slytherin's locket with his soul when it's meant to be a symbol?!" A female Slytherin screamed.

"That bastard," Susan growled, her blue eyes glaring daggers at Riddle through Harry's screen. She was so angry at the fact the Dark Lord tainted one of the items that belongs to her House she barely noticed blood dripping down her hands from how tight they had become. "Tainting the Founder's items with his filthy selfish soul because he's afraid of death."

"I know," Cho growled, also glaring daggers at Riddle through Harry's screen, her face red in anger. "Those items are meant to be trophies, not soul objects."

"Are the Founder's items really that important?" Leone asked, not aware of how important the Founder's items are.

"Yes!" The students of Hogwarts exclaimed in unison, startling the busty blonde.

"Something doesn't make any sense," Tatsumi stated with a frown crossing his features. "Why would Riddle mentioned Harry being a Horcrux when it's meant to be used on objects? He's not an object, but a human being."

"Riddle did say he used his pet snake as a Horcrux, Tatsumi," Akame said, having thought the same thing as Tatsumi. Harry being a Horcrux didn't make sense. "So, maybe he didn't mention there could be living Horcruxes."

"There's no such thing as a living Horcrux, girl," Moody grunted, overheard the conversation. "There hasn't been one when Horcruxes appeared all those years ago." A living Horcrux? Impossible.

"Wait, Professor Moody, you know about Horcruxes?" Daphne asked, turning towards the old Auror in surprise, along with the crowd.

"I do indeed know about them, Miss Greengrass, which is thanks to my high-ranking status as a Auror. But just because I know about Horcruxes, it doesn't mean I am evil or Dark; I'm still a Light person, even though I do use Neutral spells."

"If you knew about Horcruxes, Alastor, then why didn't you say anything?" Minerva asked, aghast to believe Moody know about Horcruxes and the sick knowledge about them. It was enough to make her feel physically sick.

"The only reason why I didn't say anything was because I had been paralyzed with shock at the fact Riddle made those disgusting things. I hoped what I heard was my imagination, but after hearing more words and how many he created, I had been wrong. Not only he made those things, but he also transferred a part of his soul onto Potter."

"Is having a part of someone's soul a good thing, Professor?" Hermione asked a bit timidly.

"Of course not, you naive fool!" Moody barked angrily, making Hermione yelp in fright. "Having a part of someone's soul, especially a twisted one, is a very bad thing! It's like a parasite! Parasites try to take over the body so that it can control it, while killing the owner's soul at the same time. I'm very much surprised to see Potter acting normal instead of a possessed person." Moody then glanced over at Esdeath, who returned his stare. "Unless he did got possessed but has no memory of it."

Esdeath sighed, knowing the old man won't stop staring at her unless she caved in and caved in she did but very bluntly. "Yes, Harry did got possessed but has no memory of it."

Esdeath's statement made everyone at Hogwarts completely stunned, especially Hermione, Akame, Leone, Tatsumi, Susan and Daphne. They had always been with Harry every single day…and he didn't have any signs of being possessed! Esdeath had to be lying.

"Honey, with all due respect," Tatsumi said, choosing his words carefully not to offend Esdeath. "You have to be lying. Harry couldn't be possessed at all. Me, Akame, Leone, Hermione, Susan and Daphne would've known if he was, given we are always with him every day."

"I am not lying, dear," Esdeath said firmly, a bit offended that her boyfriend didn't believe her. "I know what I saw and I'm telling the truth. I can't believe you are doubting me."

"No ones doubting you, it's just we're having trouble accepting what you said about Harry being possessed."

"How did it happen, Esdeath?" Akame asked, breaking the start of an argument. "When did you first saw Harry being possessed?"

Esdeath sighed again, wondering if she should tell the crowd about the first time Harry got possessed. She really didn't want to since it's a private matter between her and him, but thanks to Moody, she had to reveal that topic. It also didn't help he must've spotted her holding her shoulder with that creepy eye. Who makes those kinds of things? Najenda wouldn't want one, even though it would give her an artificial eye.

Either way, Esdeath decided to reply to Akame's question, even if she was probably going to regret it.

"It all started a few days later after Harry received sensitive information..."

(Back with Harry and Riddle)

"I'm going to give you credit, Riddle," Harry said a few moments later, ultimately giving up on trying to figure how Riddle found three of the Founder's items. He could ask him, but he decided not to because he wasn't interested in hearing more about Riddle's past. It was boring enough as it is listening to his monologues. Even the real one Harry met monologued. "Ever since the interrogation began, you have been shocking and horrifying me numerous times with your dramatic reveals and quite frankly, it's pissing me the hell off."

Harry wasn't kidding when he said that last part. Every time Riddle reveals something dramatic, he would become shocked or horrified. It had been annoying at first, but after hearing more dramatic reveals, especially the three Founder's items becoming Horcruxes, it was now pissing him off.

"So, in order to keep my sanity from going insane," Harry continued. "I'm just going ask you three more questions and that's it. First question, how do you destroy a Horcrux?"

"To destroy Horcruxes, you need to damage them to the point they become beyond repair," Riddle explained, remembering the precautions he had done to ensure nothing happened to his Horcruxes, even if people did find out his biggest secret. "Otherwise, they'll stay intact and repair themselves. The best way to destroy Horcruxes is by using the Killing Curse, Fiendfyre or Basilisk venom."

Harry nodded his head in agreement with the Killing Curse and Basilisk venom since both were very deadly and can kill anyone instantly but winced after hearing the legendary cursed fire. He heard this during his training with Professor Flitwick. Fiendfyre was so powerful, so scary and so unstable to control no Witch or Wizard would never dare cast that spell unless they have a death wish. Harry himself wouldn't cast that spell, even in his Elemental Form. He shuddered at the thought.

"If you had actually managed to conquer the whole world with your pathetic Death Eaters who are nothing more than rabid animals like yourself, Riddle," Harry said, moving on with the interrogation, while sneering heavily at the mention of Death Eaters. They have become exactly like Riddle, rabid animals instead of human beings. "What would you do with them? Would you let them rule by your side or have them all killed, thus revealing your true colors?"

"I would immediately have them all killed since I see no point letting them rule by my side," Riddle replied with no hesitation in his monotone voice. "I always wanted to become the greatest Wizard in existence, and I believe the only way to accomplish that is if I totally destroyed all life on the planet where I can be the only Wizard left, which would ensure the safety of my Horcruxes."

'That will never happen at all, Riddle,' Harry thought with promised determination as he glared disgustingly at the rabid animal in front of him. 'It will be over my dead body before I let you destroy all life on the planet. I will kill your real self and the Death Eaters. I might even kill the children Death Eaters since I won't have them continue your sick ideology and pass it on to newer generation.'

Harry would be damned if he let Riddle destroy all life for his sick quest to become the greatest Wizard in existence. He would find the Horcruxes, destroy them and land the killing blow on Riddle when he's still in his weak form, ending a war that would soon erupt.

Harry also has no intention of facing the Dark Lord bastard if he gets resurrected; there could be a chance he might Apparate away to a different place, leaving a pissed off Ice Elemental behind.

Moving on with the interrogation once again, Harry decided the ask the final question he wanted to know, a question he had been meaning to asked ever since Riddle revealed his immortality…and a question that was going to unknowingly change his life forever, while making him rethink everything he has done during the last three years at Hogwarts.

"Why am I a Horcrux?"

Alright, I'm ending the chapter there because I want to get this story up and running. I know you guys were expecting Riddle to be defeated and Harry finally being possessed, but I want to try finishing the interrogation before I write what I said; I should've probably mentioned that in the last part chapter. My bad. If I don't finish the interrogation, then the plot of the story could come back and bite me. I have to finish it before writing Riddle being defeated and Harry getting possessed.

But despite not writing Riddle being defeated and Harry getting possessed in the chapter, I do have a very great announcement to share with you guys.

I have been doing some thinking and I decided to do a remake version of this story in the future after I finished writing the original story and a few others. I had already thought about the remake, which would be much better than this one, even though it is good, despite the repeated combining chapters I did throughout Harry vs Khione (Part Three). I'm sorry about that; I won't do it again.

I won't go much into detail about the remake Assassins in the Wizarding World story, but I can tell you guys…it's going to be epic. It will also be much different than this story, but still have the same plot with the Empire Group being transported to the world of magic.

I'm sorry if you guys were expecting Riddle to be defeated and Harry being possessed; I promise to write it in the next chapter. I also hope this part chapter makes up for the long wait.

Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.
